Starting point is 00:00:00 So Donald Trump had this really bad press conference in the Oval Office today, and I say this with my full chest. What we just watched was a five alarm fire for our country, not just our democracy, but our country. Clearly, this man is a wannabe dictator, an authoritarian, who is going after our fundamental rights while simultaneously being completely lost. He has no idea what's going on in these meetings. He was almost falling asleep again in front of the entire country. This is an emergency for the United States. We cannot have somebody like this in the Oval Office who really shouldn't be president. He should be in a psych ward.
Starting point is 00:00:34 So I want to show you some clips from the press conference today. But of course, I want to start with something that really is just an ongoing crisis for our country, which is Donald Trump falling asleep. Why is this just like accepted? Republicans just do not care that the president of the United States falls asleep in all of these meetings. Check this out. Aaron Rupar, alert the press. It is not normal for the president to be unable to stay conscious during televised events in the Oval Office.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Look at this. This is Trump today. $64 billion that President Trump said, that's money back into state's budgets to fund other needed priorities. Our state partners have shared with us that they expect this to help them expand access to drugs and preserve access to the needed medications. That's something that benefits the most vulnerable members of our society. The mother with a child who needs access to a treatment.
Starting point is 00:01:21 The person with a disability who depends on Medicaid. Look at him nodding along. He's just like nodding along. He's like pretending that he's awake. He's like, yeah, uh-huh, uh-huh. He's out of it. He is out of it. He has no idea what's going on.
Starting point is 00:01:35 He is very clearly, very much struggling to stay awake in this Oval Office meeting. And I think Aaron Rupar is right that this is not normal. And it just drives me nuts that nobody has asked Donald Trump himself to his face on camera. Like, hey, why are you always falling asleep in these meetings? I mean, look, if he's going to attack the press, you might as well get the questions that we want to know out, right? And then check this out. He started to rant and rave like a lunatic. This is a minute straight of Trump's brain
Starting point is 00:02:01 randomly firing from topic to topic as he just went off on this incoherent rant. Check this out. Very concerning stuff. When I left Iowa, just before I started this, I had no choice. I said to my people would have to do an excursion down to Iran,
Starting point is 00:02:16 the Islamic Republic of Iran, because they're going to have a nuclear. If we don't hit them with a B2 bombers, they right now would have a nuclear weapon. And if they had it, it would be a matter of days. I equated somewhat to the Democrats. If they ever got into power, they will terminate the filibuster, and they will immediately have D.C. as a state. They will immediately have many other things take place, but D.C. and Puerto Rico will become immediately.
Starting point is 00:02:47 That gives them four more centers. That gives them lots of other things like 12 congressmen. They want to have, ideally, 21 Supreme Court justices. They will have everything they ever dreamed of. And frankly, Republicans should terminate the filibuster because if you don't do it, they're going to do it. So to be clear, he started that answer by talking about how he was in Iowa and then said Iran is going to have a nuclear weapon and then said Democrats want how many Supreme Court justices, like 13, 12, whatever he said, which, by the way, making D.C. estate, Puerto Rico
Starting point is 00:03:23 a state sounds good to me. So, you know, we don't have to pretend about that. I think we should. I mean, D.C. is literally taxation without representation, an idea that we kind of fought against in the Revolutionary War. But, you know, nonetheless, that sounds great. But what's not great is the fact that the President of the United States doesn't have a stream of thinking. He can't stay on topic. He's going from thing to thing. And when he speaks on these topics, he's completely incoherent. And it didn't stop there because then he got confused with a question, a reporter asking very clearly, very simply, Polish leaders have expressed concern that Russia may attack Ukrainian allies. And I guess that was too complex of a question for Donald Trump to understand.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Check this. President. Polish leaders have expressed concerns that Russia may attack Ukrainian allies do you agree with that assessment. Well, I think they already have attacked Ukrainian allies. They've been attacking Ukrainian allies for approximately five minutes. So I do agree with that. I think everyone agrees with that. Yeah. No, they go ahead. Did you mean Ukrainian or another country?
Starting point is 00:04:28 So Poland is concerned. Are they concerned that they're going to attack Poland? Yeah, they might attack. Well, you have a great president. He was a big Trump fan. What is going on with this guy? So he didn't understand. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:04:42 He is out of it. This guy is cooked. He didn't understand the question. And it was very clear, you know, Poland is, or Ukraine and Poland, they're concerned that Russia may attack Ukrainian allies. And then Donald Trump says, well, they've been attacking Ukrainian allies for five years. What is going on in this guy's head? The answer is nothing.
Starting point is 00:05:01 That's what's going on. Here's a good meme about this. I'm playing five-d-five dimension chest. In Toronto, every arrival is a statement. And nothing says it better than this. Cadillac Optic was the number one selling luxury EV in Canada for 2025. Find your rhythm across a seamless 33-inch display and an immersive 19 speaker AKG surround audio system. This city demands agility and optic delivers with precision to make every drive extraordinary.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Let's take the Cadillac. Find out more at Cadillac Canada.ca. Luxury sales claim based on S&P Global Mobility Canadian New Vehicle Total Registrations for calendar year 2025 for the Cadillac definition of luxury. This person says you mean five-dimensional chess, right? That's a funny meme about it. Yeah, Trump is playing five-dimensional. chest. That is absolutely what's going on. His favorite game, five dementia chess. And here's another one where Trump just once again is rambling completely off topic. He was asked, you're speaking to the United Nations next week. What's your message? And then he starts talking about his teleprompter
Starting point is 00:06:00 operator. And then he says that they turned off the escalator. I just, I don't know anymore. Can you show me free when you agree with this? No, no. Please. You're speaking to Anga next week. What is your message? Because last year you sort of said that the United Nations was helping end awards. Well, last year, they wouldn't let my person in the teleprompter room, remember that? My teleprompter operator was banned from the room. He went out, came back, and they wouldn't let him in. So, standing there without a teleprompter, isn't it nice to have a president?
Starting point is 00:06:32 And actually, they said it was one of my best speeches. I don't know how that happened. But they're introducing, ladies and gentlemen, On the behalf of the United States, and I'm looking at the telepromp screen, and it's totally blank. It was for more than half the speech. Somehow they let him in in about half the speech. Probably they did that a purpose, and he should have been leaving the room for him. He had to leave the room, come back.
Starting point is 00:06:58 But you remember that? They turned off the escalator. Fortunately, my first lady was very strong, and I was able to grab her back or another part of her body. It was actually a little bit lower than the back. And it kept me standing tall. I was standing very tall. But you remember, I was going up in the, and it came to a dead stop.
Starting point is 00:07:18 This was, I built a lot of escalators. I put in a lot of escalators. You can have some beauties right over here. What? There's escalators at the White House? No, there is not. What is he talking about, dude? What's your message to the UN?
Starting point is 00:07:35 Very simple question. What's your message to the United? the UN, a question that, quite frankly, every president, regardless of your beliefs, should be able to answer. What's your message to the UN? Your message is what your, your teleprompter guy was banned from a room, apparently, and the escalator stopped when you stood on it, and you grabbed Melania's behind to keep yourself up. Guys, this is, this is bad stuff. This is really, you know, and then it gets even worse. I mean, if you can even imagine it, I, I, he starts talking about. He starts talking about.
Starting point is 00:08:08 talking about Mount Rushmore and putting his face on Mount Rushmore. He urges the governor of the state to put his face on the monument. I just... I think this was just good common sense leadership on your part. So thank you, Mr. President, for your leadership on this issue. Well, I'm being very nice to him because maybe he'll get my face on that beautiful wall. That's beautiful wall that I've been looking at. Come on there.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Come on, let's get going. You want it on crazy horse? Yeah. Yeah, that'll lower prices. Well, everybody, don't worry. You can't afford a house. The interest rates are high. Grocery prices are high.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Gas prices are high. We're in a war where Americans are dying, being injured. Our bases are being blown up, and our standing around the world has diminished tremendously. But don't worry, everybody. Remain calm because Trump's face
Starting point is 00:09:00 is going on Mount Rushmore. That solves it. Deal over. These people, and like all these slimy Republican standing behind him. You have Sarah Boughkeby Sanders, Dr. Oz, RFK Jr., Tate Reeves, the governor of Mississippi, a racist, by the way. All of these people stand around him. Ha, ha, ha, ha. It's so funny. Really? I don't think any of this is funny, actually. I think our country and people suffering is very serious. It requires serious people, serious solutions.
Starting point is 00:09:26 None of these people are offering any of that. Their only solution is, let's throw his face on Mount Rushmore, huh? My God, I'm so pissed off. You know what I mean? I think we're in the same page. Then Donald Trump claims that his Trumpapalooza, the midterm convention he had in Dallas, had four times the audience of the NFL opener, which is of course not true. And then the final thing I want to show you after this clip is his blatant attacks on the First Amendment. I mean, kicking media outlets out of the Oval Office, media outlets that are reliable that we talk about on the show often. We use as sources on the show often. We're talking about that in just a moment.
Starting point is 00:09:59 But this is Trump once again coping with his minuscule attendance and viewership for his midterm convention. I'd be happy to see. The other thing that just came out is that the first ever midterm R&C, if you look at the convention that we just had, it was just announced we had over 100 million live stream views. Everyone is amazing because the NFL was our opponent on that one, and the NFL had 25 million. So we had for the convention 100 million live stream views.
Starting point is 00:10:35 views, which is a record. All right, well, look, if he had 100 million live stream viewers for his midterm convention, then I have a trillion bazillion-gillion-gillion subscribers on YouTube. And matter of fact, I'm also president, and I'm king of England. And I'm actually, actually, I'm king of the world because, you know, we're just making stuff up. I'm also getting drafted, number one to the NFL, by the way. I don't know if you knew that.
Starting point is 00:11:02 We're just making stuff up, right? So we can all do that. Not just him. A hundred million people. He thinks 100 million people watch that crap. You know, let me just quickly give you a fact check here. This is CNN, you know, media outlet that he's targeting. Trump said the GOP's midterm convention outperform the NFL rating show otherwise, of course.
Starting point is 00:11:20 There were two big events on television Wednesday night, Donald Trump's speech at the RNC convention, and the NFL's 25, 26 season kickoff game between the Seahawks and the Patriots. The NFL game drew more than 25 million viewers, which is a lot of people. Trump's speech reached around 3 million. So he's just, he's off very slightly, just very slight, but he's off by 97 million people. Actually, at matter of fact, he said over 100 million. So he's off by even more than 97, but give or take, 97 million people. He's off by.
Starting point is 00:11:50 But, you know, it's a close difference, right? It's right there. Look, the final thing I want to show you is Donald Trump's blatant attacks on the First Amendment. It just got dropped today by him and his administration. They're bragging about it. Republicans are bragging about it. By the way, these are the same people who said their free speech warriors. Isn't that right? They love the First Amendment. They love speech, even if it's speech that they disagree with. And this is what Donald Trump is saying. I am proud to announce that effective immediately,
Starting point is 00:12:16 I am banning fake news CNN, MSN, MSN, who recently changed their name from MSNBC, and Politico, the recipient of an illegal and ridiculous $8 million subscription, all-time record directly from the U.S. government, which also, by the way, Trump did that as well, from the White House as a result of their constant reporting fake news. Media outlets shouldn't be able to constantly write or report fiction and lies when they're covering the president of the United States, the Trump administration, or the United States of America. Other fake news media outlets to follow.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Thank you for your attention to this matter. So this is so blatantly and so obviously against the First Amendment. It's so obvious. And I imagine that these outlets are going to challenge this in court like that. They've already put out statements standing by the reporting. standing by their journalists, which is great to see. These are hardworking folks who are in the White House every single day. But this is so anti-free speech, it makes me want to puke.
Starting point is 00:13:05 I won't do that on the video. You don't need that. I don't need that. But it makes me want to puke how anti-free speech this is. And Republicans are somehow defending it. Donald Trump is somehow defending it. He was asked today, you posted that you intend to ban CNN Politico and MS now from the White House. Every president takes an oath to uphold the Constitution, which includes the First Amendment.
Starting point is 00:13:23 How do you justify this? Trump says because they're fake news. There may be others to join them. Now, theoretically speaking, fake news, if, you know, MS now is reporting something that Donald Trump deems fake or doesn't like, that is protected by the First Amendment, even if he doesn't like it. That's, you know, the definition of the First Amendment. It's speech that can't be prosecuted by the government, even if the government doesn't
Starting point is 00:13:46 like that speech. And that's exactly what Donald Trump is doing. He was also asked about this in another clip, Freedom of the Press is enshrined in the First Amendment. Are you trying to intimidate the press from doing its judgment? And this is what Trump said in response to that question. I'm going to be there. Mr. President, the press is enshrine in the First Amendment.
Starting point is 00:14:02 Oh, thank you for telling me. Are you trying to intimidate the press from doing the job? No, no, no, no. I dislike dishonest press like you. I think you're terrible. But I dislike dishonest. I like to see honest press. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:16 What do you see by the case. Wow. This guy is a total piece of crap. You know, stating the obvious here as if we didn't know that already. But just, man, like these, These Republicans can never, ever, ever take a moral high ground or attempt to take a moral high ground ever again. Now, that ship has sailed. I mean, that ship is across the Pacific already.
Starting point is 00:14:35 But especially now when it comes to free speech, I mean, they tried to claim the Biden administration and the Democrats were censoring people. We were throwing people in jail because of their speech, which was obviously fictional. But also, he's literally banning outlets from the White House because he doesn't like their reporting. And they're reporting on Iran or they're reporting on the Epstein files, you name it. He doesn't like it, so he just bans them. It's against the First Amendment. And I assume and presume that not only are lawsuits coming and they'll probably be filed like tomorrow or first thing Monday morning, but that they'll be successful in their lawsuit. So look, I will leave the video there.
Starting point is 00:15:10 That was madness. But thank you so much for being on the roller coaster with me. I appreciate you being here. Please make sure to subscribe down below, drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about the story and everything we just talked about. Have an amazing rest of your day.
