Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, so some text messages from Donald Trump just leaked, and it is as insane as you'd expect it to be. I mean, Donald Trump is both unhinged in public and in private, so this will not surprise you one bit. But to give you some context before we get into the story, Donald Trump, late last night, as we talked about on the show, wrote an insane letter to the Prime Minister of Norway, essentially saying, hey, since you guys didn't give me the Nobel Peace Prize, I'm going to invade Greenland. Just a crazy premise, a crazy suggestion to another world leader. And now some text messages have leaked, which now reveal what made Donald Trump write that letter, what made Donald Trump write that text message. So we're going to get into this story.
Starting point is 00:00:42 We're going to talk about this leaked text message chain. Before I do any of that, make sure to subscribe down below, drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about the story. And first and foremost, I want you to hear from a Trump voter, a former Trump voter, that is, who spoke to CNN about how. how she's feeling about Donald Trump's America. She's a farmer.
Starting point is 00:01:02 And she specifically focuses on Greenland and Donald Trump's threats to invade. And just listen to what a Trump voter is saying about this. Watch. Ebersole was a Nikki Haley supporter, but reluctantly backed Trump in the end. Three out of five is her first year grade. The economy feels a little better and illegal immigration is way down. But Trump's big Argentina beef bailout didn't feel so America first. Nor does talk about somehow taking Greenland.
Starting point is 00:01:28 I don't agree with that in any way, shape, or form. That's not what you voted for. No. Ebersol's take on Washington, Trump picks too many fights. And people in Congress, she says, worry too much about money and power, and too little about family farmers or finding compromise. You're open to voting for a Democrat. Of course.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I think that you have to vote for the person that best meets your goals. I don't know how that was ever Donald Trump, but, you know, know, she did vote for Donald Trump. Now she says she's open to voting for a Democrat. And the reason I include this clip in this story is because with everything going on with Donald Trump and his threats to invade Greenland, I'm constantly wondering, as I imagine you are at home, like, who's actually sitting there supporting this? Is it diehard MAGA fans? Is it just Trump voters broadly? And I think it's more the diehard MAGA fans. But like, how can anybody actually stand by this? How can anybody look at this and think, yeah, this guy's sane. He wants to take over Greenland, Cuba,
Starting point is 00:02:27 Columbia, whatever. Yeah, that makes sense. I just don't buy it. I can't understand how anybody's sane would get into that. But speaking of insane, I want to show you just some of these leaked text messages that we're talking about here that we just referenced earlier. So the innocent text, which prompted Donald Trump's unhinged response, has been revealed. The text that prompted Trump's deranged response linking his Greenland power grab to not winning a Nobel Peace Prize he wasn't eligible for has been revealed. That's also something that people really have to keep in mind. When Donald Trump goes on his unhinged rants about the Nobel Peace Prize and him being upset that he didn't win it, he wasn't even eligible for it. It was the 2025 prize based on conduct in 2024. Donald Trump was not president in 2024.
Starting point is 00:03:14 And when the prize is given out in 2026 or for 2025, he certainly won't be getting it either. I mean, he's bombed countries, invaded them, taken presidents, things like that. But anyway, and, of course, threatened countries as well. A text message sent on Sunday by the Norwegian Prime Minister to Trump obtained by the New York Times shows store pleading with the president to tone down his aggressive posturing and rhetoric over Greenland and de-escalate. The message said, and I quote, Dear Mr. President, dear Donald, on the contact across the Atlantic on Greenland, Gaza, Ukraine, and your tariff announcement yesterday, you know our position on these issues.
Starting point is 00:03:50 But we believe we should all work to take this down and de-escalate. So much is happening around us. where we need to stand together. And that is a responsible message. That is a message that you would expect from a world leader saying, hey, you know, let's take it down a bit. We got a lot going on in the world. There's a lot of places we need to be focused.
Starting point is 00:04:11 This is certainly not one of them, taking Greenland or putting tariffs on each other. Let's just back that off. But of course, Donald Trump did not back that off. He said, the store said the leader of Norway, we are proposing a call with you later today with both of us or separately, give us a hint of what you prefer best Alex and Jonas. It concludes referring to Finland's president, Alexander Stubb. Donald Trump then responded to the message within half an hour in the least diplomatically professional way possible saying, dear Jonas, considering our country decided not to give me
Starting point is 00:04:43 the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped eight plus wars. I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of peace, although it will always be predominant, but now we can think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. And of course, Donald Trump recently unofficially accepted the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize from the Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Carina Machado. But this was Donald Trump's response that I no longer am thinking of peace because I didn't get the reward from the Nobel Peace Prize Committee. And so now I'm thinking about invading Greenland and I won't take the tariffs off and I won't
Starting point is 00:05:15 de-escalate and things like that. It is insane. it is a message that you'd expect only from somebody who's completely off their rocker. But just go back to the message that came from the leader of Norway. I mean, this is incredibly respectful, incredibly kind, it's diplomatic. I mean, it's everything you would expect again from a world leader, a major world leader, saying, look, we want to call. Let's just sit down together.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Let's talk this through. And we'll find a solution. Donald Trump says, no solution. I'm going to invade Greenland, essentially, is what he's saying. And, you know, we're talking about this message only coming from somebody who's off their rocker, only insane. And I want to point out that Dr. Jonathan Reiner, the former doctor for Republican Vice President Dick Cheney, actually responded to this message from Donald Trump, this letter that he wrote to Norway. And he said this letter and the fact that the president directed that it be distributed to other European countries should trigger a bipartisan congressional inquiry into presidential fitness. So we have a doctor who has served among Republicans in the government is saying,
Starting point is 00:06:17 yeah, this letter where he's crying about not winning an award that he wasn't even eligible for should scare a lot of Americans. It should inspire an investigation into Donald Trump's fitness and the obvious health cover-up that we've witnessed from the Trump regime the entire time he's been in office, both his first and the second term. I mean, this is a doctor saying this. And, you know, I know the MAGA MDs out there who graduated from Trump University Medical School will get in the comments and saying, oh, he's fine, he's fine. anybody with two eyes can see that he's not fine, but you have to be insane to respond to this nice message in this way,
Starting point is 00:06:54 saying, I didn't get an award, so not only am I going to raise taxes on Americans with tariffs, but I'm also going to continue to escalate the situation with our allies, and I'm going to continue the threats against Greenland, that only comes from somebody who's unhinged. And this is the position that we're in, and this is why I started this video with this clip of this Trump voter, where it's like, how do she regrets it?
Starting point is 00:07:16 I mean, well, maybe not regrets her vote, but she's at least unhappy with what Donald Trump is doing with Greenland. How can anybody be happy with their vote if you voted for Donald Trump that is? How can you look at what Trump is doing and possibly think that this is good for you, your family, your kids, the economy, anything like that. It's baffling to me. So anyway, I know you folks will have a lot to say about this story. I'm excited to hear from you, but these text messages that Donald Trump had, it's been leaked, at least the response that inspired his meltdown has been leaked. and so I'm curious to hear what you think about it. I'll leave it there.
