Starting point is 00:00:00 Look, folks, I am furious after what I just read. One of the main justifications from Donald Trump and the entire Trump regime for his war in Iran, for spending billions of dollars doing it, for losing 13 American lives who are coming home in a coffin with a flag draped over them. That justification from Donald Trump has been that Iran posed an immediate threat to the United States. We could see that they were building nuclear weapons. We could see that they were increasing their missile capability. Except all of that, that entire lie, just came crumbling down. down today because a member of Donald Trump's administration testified in front of Congress that
Starting point is 00:00:35 actually U.S. intelligence saw no change in Iran's missile capabilities before the war. And actually, it gets much worse than that. So we're going to talk about this article and more in just a moment. I ask that you subscribe down below, drop a like on the video, comment. I really appreciate it. It supports the show. If you're on Apple or Spotify, please make sure to also rate the show five stars and follow along. I appreciate it. And let's get into it. So first and fourth, First, let's just remember what the Trump regime was saying about Iran. They were originally claiming that they posed an imminent threat toward the United States, like tomorrow, because we had to act right now and if not, chaos was going to break out.
Starting point is 00:01:15 There was going to be an attack on the United States. This is what Caroline Levitt said at a recent press briefing at the White House. The Secretary of State, and now I am out here today to explain to you exactly what led the president to make the decision to launch Operation Epic Furet. And President Trump does not make these decisions in a vacuum. This decision to launch this operation was based on a cumulative effect of various direct threats that Iran posed to the United States of America. And the president's feeling based on fact that Iran does pose an imminent and direct threat to the United States of America, based on the fact that they are the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism, based on the fact that they were rapidly and aggressively building up. up their ballistic missile program to give themselves immunity within their country alongside
Starting point is 00:02:06 their Navy so that inside their country they could continue to create nuclear weapons and nuclear bombs, which would, of course, pose a risk to Americans in the region and even Americans one day here at home. And then... Interesting from Caroline Levitt. So she talked about nuclear weapons being built and ballistic missiles being built. Okay. Then just days later after that, Caroline Levitt said, actually in a statement, to be clear,
Starting point is 00:02:33 no such threat from Iran to our homeland exists and it never did. So which one is it, Caroline? Is it the missiles are being built and they could be launched tomorrow and in the future there could be a threat toward the United States, our homeland? Or maybe she just lied. Maybe even she is getting caught up in the contradictions of the Trump administration and their claims about this war. Donald Trump has been caught in this exact same lie, by the way, where he said they're building missiles, we need to take action right now, but also there is no threat. There never
Starting point is 00:03:04 was a threat. And now, of course, we have this intel that says, we saw no change in Iran's missile capabilities before the war. So let's get into it. Two top intelligence officials just contradicted one of the Trump admins justifications for going to war with Iran. Repeating on Wednesday, the intelligence community's conclusion that Iran was years away from developing missiles capable of hitting the United States. Testifying before the Senate Intel Committee, Tulsi Gabbard, who is no liberal, as we know, the director of national intelligence, and John Ratcliffe, the CIA director, who by the way, fun fact, has me blocked on Twitter. I'm like, me of all people. I'm like, okay, would not say whether the intelligence community had determined that Iran would be able to launch such long range
Starting point is 00:03:46 missiles within six months. Gabbard said that Iran could combine technology from its existing space program with its missile development capabilities to begin to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile before 2035 should Tehran attempt to pursue that capability. But when pressed by Senator John Ossoff, Democrat of Georgia, Ms. Gabbard refused to provide an assessment on the threat Iran posed, saying, quote, it is not the intelligence community's responsibility to determine what is and is not an imminent threat. What are you talking about? Yes, it is. What the hell is the point of the intelligence community then? Of course it is your job.
Starting point is 00:04:28 That's what you bring to the president of the United States. You don't just hand them a binder every morning and say, you know, there's some interesting things in there. You talk about priorities, threats to Americans abroad and here in the United States. Of course it is your job to determine what is a threat and what isn't a threat. That's the entire purpose. Like, you know, it is so remarkable that the Trump administration has just become this one pile of goop and then Donald Trump sits on top of it. They're all combined into one ball and they all just report to Donald Trump. He makes the final determination on everything, even things that he's not
Starting point is 00:05:04 qualified to do. He's not in the intelligence community, but he gets to decide what is a threat and what's not a threat. And does anybody really trust Donald Trump with that responsibility? The answer is no. We shouldn't trust any one person with that responsibility. We should trust a community of experts with that responsibility. This ball of like slime that sits below Donald Trump and there's no spine in it. There's no competency. They just say, oh, let's pass it to the guy that we all worship. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Ms. Gabbard affirmed the conclusion reached by the Trump administration's Defense Intelligence Agency last year that it would be a decade before Iran could get passed the technological hurdles, excuse me, to produce weapons capable of reaching the United States. Likewise, Ratcliffe did not give a timeline when asked whether Iran would. have been able to strike the United States within six months, instead focusing on its ability to reach as far as Europe and threaten U.S. bases and interests in the region. But that's not what Trump has been saying. That's not what Caroline Levitt has been saying.
Starting point is 00:06:01 In that press briefing, we just heard her talk about threats to the United States homeland, intercontinental United States, not bases in the Middle East or things like that, which, by the way, we've known that for quite some time. Gabbard noted that the agencies she oversees monitoring work to deter to the velvet, of nuclear capable weapons among U.S. adversaries, the intelligence community, she said, recesses that Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and Pakistan have been researching and developing an array of novel, advanced, or traditional missile delivery systems with nuclear and conventional payloads that put our homeland within reach. Of the nation, she mentioned, Gabbert said that
Starting point is 00:06:37 China and Russia had systems capable of penetrating or bypassing U.S. missile defenses. North Korea's missiles could already reach U.S. soil, and Pakistan's missiles could potentially as well. Iran, however, which has come under intense bombardment from the United States, was not presented as one of the nations with advanced weapon capabilities. They just can't get their lie correct. They just cannot get their lie correct. So we saw no change in Iran's missile capability before the war, yet Donald Trump went out to the American people and said,
Starting point is 00:07:07 yeah, we're seeing a change. We think they could send a nuclear weapon or we think that they could pose an imminent threat to the United States. But then at the same time, they don't pose an imminent threat to the United States, according to Caroline Levin. They can't even get their lies in check. And this is on top of a story we talked about on the show the other day that U.S. Intel says that Iran's regime is actually consolidating power.
Starting point is 00:07:28 They're not depleted. They're not, you know, running for the hills. They are consolidating power and doubling down. Western officials and analysts who study Iran say they see little near-term prospect of a regime change, which is something that Donald Trump sought, or an end to the 47-year-old Islamic Republic or the rise of a more democratic government. Intel also issued since the war began, predict Iran's regime will not only remain intact, but possibly feel even more emboldened, thinking that they survived the United States attack and they can
Starting point is 00:08:00 double down. And now we know that there are even more hardliners in the government, more anti-U.S. people. So all of this is proving to be one big lie and one big failure. I mean, 13 Americans dead, billions of dollars spent. And for what? They still have not been able to justify this to the American people. It is insane where we are. It is insane that the Intel just completely contradicts Trump and even Tulsi Gabbard is saying it under oath. I mean, it's such a disaster.
Starting point is 00:08:29 But look, I will leave the video there. I just absolutely had to talk about this because it completely debunks one of their main lies. So frustrating, you know, watching this take place. But look, I'll leave it there. Thank you so much for watching. Make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like on the video, comment.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Let me know what you think about the story. If you're on Apple or Spotify, please make sure to rate the show five stars and follow along. Have an amazing rest of your day, and we will talk soon.
