Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, so the threats from Donald Trump are getting very real, and they're increasing in their severity by the day. It kind of feels like we're closer than ever to invading Greenland, and maybe they'll do it in the middle of the night randomly, just like they did with Venezuela. They're kind of laying the foundation, testing public opinion, and then just going to go for it. Donald Trump and the people around him are now making military threats against Greenland, flirting with the idea of just sending our military in, plopping down, and daring anybody to do something. something about it. It is insane. It's an awful way to talk about our allies, but also different members of the Trump regime are saying different things. They're not on the same page. So not only is this an insane proposition, they're also not saying the same thing, which we will cover in this video. Before I do any of that, make sure to subscribe to the channel down below. It goes an incredibly
Starting point is 00:00:49 long way. Drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about the story. And let's get into these new insane bonkers military threats that Donald Trump are making toward Greenland. And the people around him are making toward Greenland. So the Trump regime has doubled down on seizing Greenland with the White House actively discussing using the U.S. military to stake a claim to the self-ruling island, which is part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and Denmark is part of NATO, which would put the United States, a NATO country, against NATO as a whole. Days after capturing Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro, Donald Trump and his team escalated their threats about acquiring Greenland on Tuesday, merely hours, as we saw after Americans,
Starting point is 00:01:28 America's European allies told them to butt out. And many of them have. Canada has many of our allies in Europe, France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom. All of the big guys have told us to say, at least told us to back off. Donald Trump has made it well known that acquiring Greenland is a national security priority of the United States and it's vital to deter our adversaries in the Arctic region, the White House said in a statement to Reuters. The president and his team are discussing a range of options to pursue this important foreign policy goal. And of course, Quote, this is their words, utilizing the U.S. military is always an option at the commander-in-chief's disposal. So obviously, this is something that they're talking about.
Starting point is 00:02:09 This is something that they're interested in. And we know Donald Trump has an obsession with just using the military unnecessarily. If he can do it, he will. Think back to that military parade he had over the summer where he's parading our soldiers in the streets, you know, signaling a loyalty to him just because he wants to. He wants to look strong. He wants to look cool. it's the ego of a narcissist.
Starting point is 00:02:29 The comments are emblematic of Trump's heightened desire to assert America's dominance in the Western Hemisphere. Quote, American dominance in the Western Hemisphere will never be questioned again. The president said on Saturday, as he announced that the U.S. would, quote, run Venezuela and allow American companies to extract its oil. Some of the options reportedly under consideration include purchasing Greenland outright or entering into a compact of free association with the territory. However, the latter would stop short of Trump's ambition.
Starting point is 00:02:57 to make Greenland part of the United States. And so both of these options, I don't think, are actually quite likely. I think that for, you know, we're talking about something insane here. So we just have to lay the foundation with that. But if you're going to do it, purchasing, I think, would be the most logical thing if you're going to do it, which is insane, but bear with me for a second. That would be the most logical thing, which means Donald Trump is not going to do that, and Europe has already said they're not interested in that.
Starting point is 00:03:23 The compact of free association, also I'm not confident that Donald Trump would do. I actually am not confident whatsoever because it doesn't achieve his goal of looking cool, of playing into his ego. So he would most likely resort to the military to say, you know, I'm so strong, I'm so big and tough, you guys can't mess with me. And in reality, he just put the world in jeopardy. But using the military to annex Greenland would be highly controversial because the island is a self-governing democratic territory and part of NATO. Unlike Venezuela, it is also a NATO member. And a statement issued on Tuesday morning, European leaders including Kirstommer of the United Kingdom, Macron of Germany,
Starting point is 00:03:59 Merz of Germany, or sorry, Macron of France, MERS of Germany. They rallied around Denmark and Greenland, effectively warning the U.S. against military action, saying, quote, Greenland belongs to its people. It's for Denmark and Greenland and them only to decide on matters concerning Denmark and Greenland. It was a really powerful statement.
Starting point is 00:04:16 We talked about it on the show. They are pretty united against the United States. Of course, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney also chimed in, saying the future of Greenland is a decision exclusively for the people of Greenland and Denmark. However, the admin has become increasingly emboldened. So they don't really care what Europe is saying. They don't care what Mark Carney is saying. They just care what they are saying. And of course, we also had Katie Miller post this, which drew a lot of condemnation, global condemnation, a photo of Greenland with the United States flag on top. So they're thinking about the military.
Starting point is 00:04:46 But as I mentioned, members of the Trump regime are saying something different, depending on who they're talking to. So Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, told lawmakers that Donald Trump wants to buy Greenland, not invade it. So Trump is saying publicly and the White House is saying that the military is at his disposal if he wants to. Rubio is saying you don't have to worry about that. Problem is, this is not the first time we've seen the White House do something like this, offer two different narratives to do different people or just quite literally not be on the same page. Recently, of course, with the Venezuelan raid, we learned that lawmakers were briefed behind the scenes by senior members of the Trump regime, including Pete Hegesath. They said that they were not
Starting point is 00:05:26 going to invade Venezuela. They had no interest in doing it. They weren't doing it. They were just going to bomb the boats and that's it. No invasion, no striking the land in Venezuela, no capturing Maduro, certainly. Then they did it. Then they went back on their word. So either they were not on the same page and Trump was thinking something different or they were lying. I'm inclined to say the latter, but the lawmakers, Democratic lawmakers say they were misled on Venezuela and are now demanding a plan because of the two different narratives that were fed to them. But Marco Rubio is saying they want to purchase it. So Secretary of State Rubio told lawmakers that recent administration threats against Greenland didn't signal an imminent invasion and that the goal is to buy the island. That's
Starting point is 00:06:07 their goal. Maybe that's Marco Rubio's goal. I don't think it's Donald Trump's goal. Rubio's statements, which were made Monday during a closed briefing, came as the White House has been offering increasingly belligerent statements about controlling the island. And of course, we read this statement saying it's a national security priority and that the military is always at the commander-in-chief's disposal. The State Department didn't respond to a request for comment for the article from the Wall Street Journal. This is an exclusive, might I add. Trump discussed buying Greenland in his first term, but has become more insistent on making the territory part of the United States. And we've heard from NATO already saying, yeah, get out.
Starting point is 00:06:44 You're not doing this. It's not happening. And I think Donald Trump has a little bit of a guilty conscience, maybe not a guilty conscience, but he knows what's coming for him. because yesterday in a speech, this is what Donald Trump said would happen if the Republicans lose in 2026 in the midterms. But you got to win the midterms because if we don't win the midterms, it's just going to be, I mean, they'll find a reason to impeach me. Oh.
Starting point is 00:07:12 I'll get impeached. We don't impeach them, you know why? Because they're meaner than we are. We should have impeached Joe Biden for a hundred different things. So Donald Trump is worried about being impeached. He says the Democrats will have to create a reason. I feel like I'm looking at a reason. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:07:30 I feel like with this or this or any of the things we talk about on the show, we don't have to come up with a reason. We have plenty of reasons to impeach Donald Trump. I mean, you could pick any of the millions of things that he's done wrong. Any of them, just any of them. And they'd be a valid reason to impeach somebody in my eyes that would satisfy the high crime and misdemeanor requirement in the Constitution. But yeah, pick any of these and he can get impeached.
Starting point is 00:07:54 But it seems like he knows what's coming with this whole nonsense. That's why he's trying to rush and buy Greenland or invade Greenland before the midterms because maybe he knows what's coming. But anyway, yeah, I just had to talk to you about these increased threats. They are so insane, so crazy. But I'll leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching.
