There are very few things in life that are more satisfying than watching the MAGA Fox News hosts get destroyed on air to their faces. I mean, you're all familiar with Jessica Tarlov by now. She's like the only liberal at Fox News. And she has been tasked with explaining very basic political concepts to her MAGA co-hosts. And every time she does, they always have this look of shock on their face, as if they've just seen a ghost. They just have no response. And that's exactly what happened yesterday when Jessica Tarlov broke down how Donald Trump is assaulting the First Amendment, attacking people's right to dissent.

And of course, everything going on with Jimmy Kimmel, she kind of wrapped that all in there. And you'll notice throughout this entire clip, her co-hosts are silent. We all know at Fox News, they're very trigger-happy. They will jump in as soon as they hear a buzzword that they don't like. But through this clip, none of them had anything to say. So we're going to take a look at Jessica Tarlov, destroying them live on air. I love this clip. And then later, we're going to look at another Republican who appears to be not happy

that something surrounding this Jimmy Kimball story was explained to him as well. He, on the other hand, is a man-child-like response. Well, the media and politicians and everyone, all the editorial boards of the nation's biggest paper, including the Wall Street Journal that wrote Mr. Kimmel's words were only moderately offensive. We want to be clear that none of this justifies the rights resort to regulatory censorship. And the premise that Democrats are more concerned about Jimmy Kimmel than they were. about the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk is completely unfounded. Democrats said all the right things that all of us felt about, that it was tragic, that violence, political violence, has no place in our society,

and we were met with, this is your fault, and we are at war. There's been this move today to rewrite the story of how Jimmy Kimmel ended up being indefinitely suspended to absolve Brendan Carr of his role in this and the government's larger role in it. But the timeline just doesn't add up. I've heard, well, read the story. the Hollywood Reporter and read the Wall Street Journal on this.

I looked through all of it, and the common denominator is that Brendan Carr said to Benny Johnson, we can do this the easy way or we can do this the hard way. And the affiliates who were already freaking out about it for sure decided then that they were going to pull it. And so ABC and, you know, Disney and general, Bob Iger had no choice but to do it. There are some smart Republicans that are cautioning them to come back from this line. Ted Cruz, of all people, who's the chair of the Commerce Committee, which actually has oversea. over the FCC said what Carr said there is dangerous as hell that's right out of a mafioso. When it's used to silence conservatives, we will regret it. We should denounce it.

So I understand now we don't live in cancel culture. It's just consequence culture. And you think an eye for an eye is a good solution to everything. That's what I've seen pelted at me about this. Well, you did this, you did this, you did this, you did this. That is not a way to run a free society. And you can't just trample on the First Amendment because something tragic and horrible happened. Yeah, I just found it so remarkable that for just under two minutes, none of these Fox News hosts who you saw sitting around the table, let's see if we can find a shot of all them.

Right here, you have Kellyanne Conway, Jesse Waters, a couple of other very MAGA hosts. Not a single one of them jumped in to interrupt her. Normally they do. If they have something to say, they are not afraid to interrupt Jessica Tarlov, who always manages to keep her cool, which I really respect. they didn't once in this clip because there is nothing to say. They know Fox as a whole and these MAGA media outlets, these MAGA influencers, commentators, whatever you want to call them, they are part of what's happening here.

They're trying to rewrite the story. They're trying to make it seem like, oh, you know, ABC just canceled Jimmy Kimmel because they were offended by the comments and Jimmy Kimmel's shows ratings have gone down. That's why. But as Tarlov said, the common denominator in every single interpretation of this story is that on the same day, Kimball's show was indefinitely canceled. Donald Trump's FCC chair went on a MAGA podcast and said, if you do not cancel this person, we will suspend your licenses. We will take regulatory action against you. That's the entire story. Maga can try to rewrite this all they want,

but that's the story. That's the truth. And as you heard, you know, people like Ted Cruz, for example, a very Republican senator, very MAGA, came out and said, you know what, I'm concerned by this. I think this is wrong because the shoe will eventually be on the other foot. Our feet, that's assuming we have elections and Donald Trump doesn't try to figure out a way not to have them. But there will be another Democratic president one day. And perhaps that Democratic president wants to come after Fox. Maybe that Democratic president wants to come after Newsmax. You know, these outlets who we de we deem are engaging in hate speech. What if something like that happens? And Ted Cruz is not the only Republican who has voiced some concern in that realm. Ben Shapiro,

Hero said something similar. I mean, take a look at what he had to say. This was covered on MSNBC last night because he completely denounced what Trump's FCC chair did. Take a look. The FCC should not be threatening action against ABC or its affiliates or Disney based on Jimmy Kimmel being a jack. He's been a jack his entire career.

Social censure is perfectly appropriate. The blowback from the public, totally natural and in fact good because Jimmy Kimmel is in fact a schmuck who should have been taken off the air 10 years ago. I do not want the FCC in the business of telling local affiliates that their licenses will be removed if they broadcast material that the FCC deems to be informationally false. Why? Because one day the shoe will be on the other foot. You know, it's a shame that Ben Shapiro's entire objection to this is not, you know, government overreach is bad. Like it's kind of dictatorial. It's just that, oh, in the future,

you know, Republicans might be impacted. But nonetheless, we take the wins where we get them, right? I'm not going to be picky here. Even Republicans, Ben Shapiro, Ted Cruz, and others are saying, yeah, this is insane. And I'm surprised. I got to be honest, to see people like Shapiro and Cruz say that this is insane for them to acknowledge objective reality. That's quite a rarity in modern politics where you have these right-winger kind of saying, this is crazy. But even for them, perhaps this is a step too far. Now, as I mentioned, you know, Ben Shapiro, Ted Cruz, all these guys, they're flipping their side.

these Fox news hosts seem pretty annoyed when Jessica Tarlov was explaining it to him. I mean, you can see Jesse Waters is a little blurry. He's like looking off on the other side. He's like, I wonder how they got that camera up there. He has no idea what's going on. Kelly N. Conway is just sitting there looking annoyed as always. But as I mentioned, it seems like Donald Trump might have been kind of frustrated with this being explained to him as well.

David Letterman decided to go in on Trump and his administration for canceling Kimmel and what he said was fantastic. And then we're going to look at Trump's statement. Take a look. Tell us what you think about what happened last night to Jimmy Kimmel. Well, this is a misery. And in the world of somebody who is an authoritarian, maybe a dictatorship, sooner or later, everyone is going to be touched.

But this is me. For 30 years, I did this for a living. So I see this happen. They took care of Colbert. That was rude. That was inexcusable. The man deserves a great deal of credit. He's in the Hall of Fame nine times.

And to be manipulated like that. because the Ellison family didn't want to trouble Donald Trump with this move, so they got rid of him, not only got rid of him, got rid of the whole franchise. You're not going to have to worry about anything, Larry. It's all gone. It's fine. Good night. And then my good friend Jimmy Kimmel, I just, I feel bad about this because we all see where this is going, correct? It's managed media. And it's no good. It's silly. It's ridiculous.

and you can't go around firing somebody because you're fearful or trying to suck up to an authoritarian criminal administration in the Oval Office. That's just not how this works. Damn right. Damn right. I agree with every single word he said. It's something if you saw my last video regarding the late night host addressing it, all the different guys. It's something that Stephen Colbert said. You can't give an authoritarian an inch because they won't stop. They don't stop at the They will take and take and take until there's nothing left to take. And Trump did not like this statement. Like soon after this clip came out, he decided to rant on truth social about David Letterman

saying whatever happened to the very highly overrated David Letterman whose ratings were never very good either. He looks like hell, but at least he knew when to quit. Loser. You know, our president has the vocabulary of a pissed off middle schooler. Just loser in all caps. That's all he does. All he does is call people losers.

That's all he can come up with. Nothing creative, nothing funny. It's all just a loser. This is a very bitter man right here. He knows that David Letterman is right. He is upset that David Letterman called them out, and so what do we know? This is as predictable as, you know, the Eagles winning the Super Bowl. I'm sorry.
