All right, folks, check this out. We have some breaking news. Donald Trump's dictatorial tirade in the United States continues because Brad Lander, a candidate for mayor of New York City in the Democratic primary, was just arrested at an immigration court and dragged out of the building by masked ice agents. This is a theme that we're starting to see across the United States with Trump and his administration in masks targeting elected Democratic officials. who they disagree with. And there's a video of the entire event. It was all caught on camera. So I want to show you that video in a couple of different angles. But first and foremost, I want to give you some updates that we have in it right now. We don't have that much information because it quite

literally took place like 30 minutes before I'm filming this. But NBC News is reporting that New York City comptroller Brad Lander was detained by ICE. His campaign has said, Kat Kaposella, Landers Press Secretary, told NBC News in an email that, quote, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE, a reference to U.S. immigration and customs enforcement, after, quote, escorting a defendant out of immigration court. So so far, that's all we know he did. He just escorted somebody out of court. It's unclear at the moment if Lander is still in custody and a spokesperson with the

Department of Homeland Security, the agency that oversees ICE, did not respond to a request for comment because, of course they didn't. they know how bad the optics are. So let me show you this video of Bradlander getting arrested, and then we'll talk about it a little bit more. Have a look. Guys, back up, back up, back up, back up. I understand.

If you're interfering with this arrest, we're going to be a back up. Back up, guys. Be going. This is not legal to. This is not legal to. You don't put him in the elevator and then say, you have a warrant. You don't have a line for him. You can.

Please stay back. Stay back. You can hear the people in the background demanding to see the judicial warrant for his arrest. They have provided no such documentation. They continue to not provide that. Even as they're grabbing Brad Lander and ripping him out of this building and bringing his team along with him They're just asking for basic due process here show me the warrant and they will not do it It is insane

Hi, I'm kind of... Where are you taking the controller? And with what authority? Why are you arresting the city controller and where are you taking him? Oh! Number one's gonna go with him, all right? Hang on, please, number one. Hold on, hold on, hold on, Brett.

That's the number one right here, all right? Thank you. Absolutely insane. And a crazy scene that truly I never thought I'd see in the United States where an elected official in the city of New York, a high-ranking elected official. elected official in the city of New York is being dragged down a hallway in handcuffs loaded into an elevator by masked agents, no warrant provided, and then they just disappear. We have no idea if he's still being detained. We have no idea where he was taken to. But this is happening more and more often in the United States. It's happening to elected officials, as we've seen with Brad Lander and, of course,

Senator Padilla last week. And it's also happening to Americans on the streets. How many American citizens have been arrested by ICE, detained, satin processing centers for weeks, it's becoming a common occurrence in the United States. It is insane what we're seeing. I mean, I just can't believe the comptroller of New York City was just ripped out of a hallway by masked agents. And I want to show you this response by Tim Miller, which I thought was fantastic. He said masked federal agents manhandle, handcuff, and arrest a city elected official with no warrant,

an insane photo, who the F is the masked man. What are we doing, including this photo? that has been released of Bradlander getting arrested, and that is an insane photo. This photo does not look like it's from the United States. This is a photo you wouldn't expect to see in a democracy like ours, but it is. It's happening in our immigration courts here in America.

And again, like, I want to really stress that this is happening more and more often. We just learned last week and saw with our own eyes that Senator Alex Padilla, a senator from California, was forcibly removed from Christy Nome's press conference in Los Angeles. So this is a senator from California who was trying to do his work as a senator from the state who was elected overwhelmingly, and he was dragged out of the press conference simply for asking a question.

He identified himself as a senator. They threw him to the ground, handcuffed him for no reason. We all saw this video where he was dragged out. It was horrific. It got condemnation across the board. Republican senators like Susan Colin, Lisa Murkowski, and of course all the Democrats spoke up about it because this is not what we do here in the United States. This is not what we do.

This is not what we're about. Bradlander's wife provided an update as much as we have right now on his Twitter account. She posted a video of a different angle. We'll take a quick look at that. Do you have a judicial warrant? And this is a different angle of the arrest. You can just see how chaotic it is that they're putting their arms all over him, dragging him out in this tiny hallway that is packed with people. So, sir, and I see the warrant, I will let go when you show me the judicial warrant.

Where is it? Do you see how they are treating him? He's asking for a warrant, and he's being manhand. Take him it, take him it, take it, take it back. Stop back, stop back, stop back. You don't have authority to arrest U.S. citizens. Stunning scenes out of the United States. His wife said, hi, this is Meg Barnett, Brad's wife,

while escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 federal plaza. Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE. This is still developing and our team is monitoring the situation closely. So they don't provide much more updates than we have right now. And as I said, the story is still relatively new. We really don't have that much information as to why he was arrested, what the justification was. Right now, it appears like there was no justification. Right now, it appears like there was no judicial warrant. I will keep monitoring the story to see if anything

changes. But again, we don't do this here in the United States. This is another elected official arrested a week after we saw Senator Padilla get arrested. Insanity, insanity that this is what Trump and his administration are doing right now. When there are so many bigger issues across the world, across the country, Trump is focusing on arresting elected officials, throwing them around, manhandling them, detaining them in tiny hallways.
