This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes
for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, what's good, y'all?
You're listening to Learn the Hard Way with your favorite therapist and host, Kear Games.
This space is about black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing.
How many men carry a suit or armor?
It signals to the world that you're not to be played with.
And just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to.
Listen and learn the hard way on the AHA radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.
Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media.
Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifers Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversation.
with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
So let's get to it.

Terry Bradshaw is raising the Super Sixth stakes again for divisional weekend.
First, he's putting $250,000 up for grabs on Saturday for Rams Packers.
Then on Sunday for Buck Saints, he's sweetening the deal even more by giving away another $250,000.
Plus his all-new 2021 Ford F-150, Colin, one of the questions for the Buck's Saints contest is, which team will win by how many points?
Who do you like?
I like the Saints.
I think it's reasonably close.
It's hard.
The Saints get such good pressure on Tampa without blitzing people.
So I think Tom's going to be uncomfortable, but I do think Antonio Brown wasn't there for the
first matchup.
It was his first game in the second.
So I do think their offense is humming.
But Brady doesn't love pressure, and the Saints can get pressure without blitzing,
and they've got really good corners.
I just think it's one of these matchups that's not great.
for Brady. I don't think it's a sometimes in the playoffs, it's just you don't match up well.
Like a lot of people like Baltimore over Buffalo. It's not disrespect to Buffalo. It's that Baltimore
creates some problems for them offensively that they're just going to struggle in personnel
matchup. So this is matchup time. Akieb Tali played 12 years in the NFL, half the years he was a
pro bowler. And we were just talking during the break. He's either like 10 and 3 or 9 and 4 in the
playoffs. He got to the playoffs with the Broncos, the Rams, the Rams.
the Patriots.
He got to the Super Bowl with two different Super Bowls.
Five of his 12 years, he made the playoffs.
So he's got a ton of experience in the postseason.
Akib Talib is now joining me live from his house in Texas.
So let me ask you this.
So in all your playoff games, I look at the Rams and I think,
oh, they're going to go up to Lambone, it's freezing cold,
and they're an indoor team, and it's warm weather.
Did you ever go to a playoff game?
When you were in Foxborough, did you think the lousy weather was an advantage?
Did you ever go on the road and playing cold weather?
Does weather mean anything in Lambo to you?
It does.
It does.
Weather always means something.
You're a dome team and you got to go play outside.
It always means something.
So it's difficult.
It's rough.
So it's going to play a part, definitely.
It's definitely going to play a part.
I don't know what happened with that light right now.
I don't know what happened to that light, by the way.
Let's play with it right here.
You got time.
Trying to figure it out.
You know how them home studios go.
Boom.
Look at that.
Boom.
So let's talk about, I want to talk about Tom Brady and the Bucks.
So I don't think they match up with the Saints.
I think the Saints have outstanding corners and a pass rush.
And I just think it's one of those things where Tom's going to be under some duress.
He's going to face pressure.
You played in a lot of playoff games.
Were there times in some of your losses where Akib, you did.
just felt like our personnel doesn't match this team's personnel very well.
Well, usually in our, and two of my big losses, it was, god dang, it was, it was, it was
me going out. And then once I went out the game, our personnel just couldn't match up with
the other team, you know, so I think, I think A-B is going to change the dynamics of that,
though. That one extra receiver who's basically unguaritable, it's going to change the dynamic.
it might change how the Saints have to play a little bit.
You know what I'm saying?
So I think A, B, being in the picture this time is going to change things.
Godly.
It's okay.
So let me ask you this.
Are you surprised Antonio Brown, he goes to the Raiders, it doesn't work.
He goes to the Patriots, it doesn't work.
Are you surprised that he's gone to Tampa?
And frankly, he's better every week.
We don't hear from him.
He's not in the press.
Are you a little surprised?
he's worked so well with Brady.
I'm not. I'm not.
I know what type of guy, A.B. is.
And, you know, he just needs that general, man.
Once he gets a real general in front of him, he's going to be a soldier.
He going to get in line and he's going to work every day.
He works.
That's what people don't talk about.
They don't talk about how hard he works.
So I think it's a match made in heaven, man.
Tom Brady works super hard.
A.B. works super hard.
And I think just him being out of Miami, just in Tampa, you know, a low-key city,
a low key, more low key than Miami.
But I think I'm not surprised, man.
You put guys like that with Tom or Bill Belichick,
if you put them with a real, real leader like that, man.
Them guys always fall in line.
So it don't surprise me at all.
All right, Kansas City is a 10-point favorite.
You have been a favorite in your NFL career in playoff games.
Do you worry that Kansas City didn't play well in the last month,
that Mahalms took a buy in Week 17,
that they're a massive favorite?
it. Does that concern you at all for the Chiefs?
Usually it don't, but like you said, matchup.
So this matchup kind of just concerns me, man.
The best way to beat my homes is to keep them on the sideline and hunt.
And those running backs, those Cleveland running backs can keep him on the sideline.
That Cleveland run game period can keep him on the sideline.
So this matchup is, if you give me 10 points in Cleveland, I'm taking Cleveland.
Yeah. You know, it is interesting. Mahomes didn't have a great December. You would think, like, you were a great corner. Did you ever have a bad month? Like, it just, it's funny. Like, Mahomes is great, but he did not play well in December. It is, do players get into slumps? Players definitely get into slumps. And sometimes your break comes at the right time. So that's why this game is kind of confusing, because,
Like you said, he didn't have a great December, but then he had time to take time off.
Let me reset.
Let me get my body healthy.
And, you know, just that reset button, it does wonder sometimes.
Like for Lamar, Lamar had a chance to, you know, the COVID.
God gave him COVID.
It made him sit down for 12 days or 10 days or whatever.
You get to get healthy.
You reset, then he come out on fire after that.
So players have slumps, man.
Sometimes you need a two-week break just to reset and get out of that funk.
And who knows what Patrick Mahon is going to come out this weekend.
All right, Baltimore plays Buffalo.
Tell me what it's like to face a running quarterback.
What will Buffalo defenders sense and face?
Trouble, man.
It's trouble.
You almost don't want to play man coverage against a running quarterback
because, you know, once he break that first level,
it's almost like an automatic 10 yards or whatever.
So you kind of dictate defenses with a running quarterback.
And it's trouble, man.
Lamar is on fire.
He's one of the hottest players in the league right now, in my opinion.
And, you know, he got a chip on his shoulder.
He had to get that first playoff win, and you know he wanted to get a win versus Josh Allen, man.
That's almost like, you know, that's his competition in that class.
So you know he wants to get this win.
And he's on fire right now, man.
So it's going to be tough to stop him.
I think he throws the ball better than people think.
When you watch it, how do you think he throws it?
I definitely think he throw the ball.
I think he throw the ball so good that he almost want to be a strong.
pocket quarterback, but I mean, you God gave you those legs, so you can't be a pocket quarterback.
You gotta use those legs, Lamar. So I think he throw the ball so good. It almost makes him want
to throw the ball too much. Green Bay is a better team. They have more good veteran players than
the Rams do. Rams have Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, but there's a lot of very good young
ram players. When you went into playoff games, did you feel your experience mattered? Having been
there before mattered?
Definitely, definitely. Experience always matters because the jitters you get, your routine.
I mean, some guys, you get into playoffs and now you want to do this whole new routine
because you think you've got to be over-prepared or whatever.
But once you've been there before, you know what I'm saying?
You might think differently.
Like that's any other game.
Let me just stick to my routine or whatever.
So experience definitely matters, man.
Guys get nervous.
You do certain things when you're nervous.
I know my first playoff game, I was super nervous.
I showed up four hours early.
my routine was all the way off just because I was nervous.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean year five,
I never been in the playoffs.
So I thought I was doing something positive when really I threw off my whole routine
and I felt like I end up getting hurt because of that.
You know what I'm saying?
So I got massages and stuff and the lady kind of put a nod in my hamstring.
And then AFC, yeah, I'm telling you a little bit later on, boom, that same spot.
It bothered me week.
It bothered me the first playoff game.
It bothered me the second one.
By the AFC championship game, it popped on me.
You know what I'm saying?
And that's, I did something that I don't do.
So experience definitely matters.
Yeah.
Do you miss, I know you're glad you're retired.
You had a great career.
When you watch the playoff games, is that when you miss football?
No, when I watch, when I get a FaceTime by Reggie, the head trainer for the Rams and AB and Jalen and all those guys are, you know, having fun in the training room and the locker.
That's when I miss football.
But when I watch the game on this weekend, I'm enjoying it, Colin.
I got a, you know, a cold beer, some popcorn, you know.
This is my Achilles feel good, my back feel good.
So I don't miss the physical part.
I just miss the camaraderie, you know, and I miss that part.
So I'm a fan.
I enjoy being a fan of the game, too.
Sitting back and watching, I really became a fan of football again, man.
I got favorite team in NFC, AFC, so I just enjoy it.
Yeah, I love watching you.
play here. You were physical, man. You were,
were you, I forgot, were you a trash talker?
Oh, yeah. I talk, I talk, uh, from first quarter to fourth quarter.
Definitely.
Not really trans, though. See, I'm more just like just being myself, though, Colin.
I, you know, I had conversations with guys throughout the game, you know,
some guys get disrespectful and turn disrespectful conversations.
Sometimes it's cool as, you know, pro conversations and I had great professional
conversations with guys all day long.
Really?
You had actual nice conversations with wide receivers during games, professional?
Definitely, definitely.
Like, for example, like, we played Cleveland as a Rams.
We played Cleveland.
I was miced up.
You could hear me and Odell talking the whole game.
It was cool.
He was laughing.
Oh, Keeb, I had you right there.
I said, ooh, AD saved me.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
It just, you know, casual.
We're laughing.
We're joking.
It's just good conversations.
Man, that's a perfect example.
If I can get the live footage from the game when I was miced up with,
oh, because I listened to it, the whole game.
They're like the raw footage.
I listened to it.
So that was a perfect example, man.
That's great two pros competing and talking to a little noise at the same time.
I love that.
Definitely.
Akeem to leave former great NFL defensive back.
Going to get a lot of Hall of Fame votes.
Good talking to you.
We'll talk soon, my man.
Thanks, God.
Thanks, Colin.
Sorry about the light, man.
You know, I need a producer.
I need a home producer here, man.
so we could get this thing in order.
Yeah, but you know what?
You did a good job.
You had to kind of ad-lib your way through it.
I thought you were excellent.
Nice work.
Appreciate it, Colin.
Take care.
You bet.

Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack,
so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now, so.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.

Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth.
Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

Here's Joy Taylor with the news.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the hurt.
Third line news.
Well, some reports surfaced this week that some dolphins players were not completely sold on Tua.
I know.
He is the guy to lead the franchise into the future.
But the organization has remained committed to Tua since the season ended.
Brian Flores doubled down his support.
He said the idea that there is any kind of fractures overblown.
I thought there was a lot of support throughout the locker room.
A lot of attention gets paid to Tua, but I thought he made a lot of improvement over the course of the season.
I'm excited to see about the future with him.
He's a young player, talented player that year one to year two jump will be important like it is for all rookies.
Situation with Tua is very complicated.
Now, I feel like it's only complicated because they have that number three pick from the Texans.
If they didn't have that pick, well, they'd be staying with Tua.
Then they would be staying with Tua.
That's right.
And we would just be talking about how to develop Tua, how to build a team around Tua because this was your pick.
And he does need another year.
We were talking about it earlier, getting hair and makeup.
This is a rough year for rookies.
Tough year.
A tough year for young guys.
We knew that going in.
You don't have the preseason.
You don't have the full training camp that you usually get.
They weren't even able to get into the buildings just to like do basic stuff,
like learn the facility or where they're going to live, how they're going to get to work.
Also, I mean, just something to throw out there.
It doesn't mean much.
But a lot of times people like us, this is what we do for a living.
We compare other teams to the dolphins.
Like we say, well, what about Herbert?
and what about Burrough?
And Brian Flores would probably think,
I don't coach those teams.
All I know is this guy,
I put him in nine games and he won six.
So sometimes our job is to speculate,
conjecture.
Herbert looks like this and Tua looks like this.
Brian Flores probably saying,
I don't have Herbert.
All I know is my defense is better on the Chargers.
My special teams is better on the Chargers.
And better than the Bengals.
And I don't have,
and I don't have my homes in my,
so I'm good.
So every team has a different.
sense of what they need to win.
I do think Tua is good enough to win a lot of games because I think Miami's defense and
coaching is so exceptional that they don't have to be amazing and dynamic at quarterback to
this point.
That is what scares me, though, because if you get a little bit complacent at that position
and rely on an entire other side of the ball to carry you, we've seen what happens
with that time and time again.
And then you squander the years of that great side of the ball.
And the dolphins know a lot about that.
Because they haven't had a quarterback but have had great defenses over the years.
I'm not bailing on Tua.
I think that they, one, I don't think that they're going to go with another quarterback.
And you have to also consider, if there was someone there at three, like if they had an opportunity to get Trevor Lawrence, okay.
If there's someone there at three that you think is that much better than Tua, then that's really the conversation that you're having.
Now, if you're talking about trading for Deshaun Watson a known commodity, I'm all in on that.
That's a different situation altogether.
But at number three, is there someone better than two available?
Well, I mean, let's be honest.
If the Jets trade out of two and keep Darnold, many are speculating that now.
And so the first team takes Trevor Lawrence, the second team, whoever it is, moves up to take Justin Fields.
That means the dolphins at three could get Penae Soule, who's a decade good tackle.
Well, now you have Austin Jackson at left tackle or right tackle.
Now you have Penae Soule.
So the last two years, you basically.
you basically have potentially for the next eight to 10 years your tackle solved well then Tua may be a better quarterback
so if you look at the video of Tua struggling he's often struggling when he's off platform because he's rushed
but if you get the tackle solve for 10 years then he's not going to be rushed as much so a lot of the video
we see where Tua is like Greg Kossel said he needs to step into it he doesn't have the arm to just wing it he's a rhythm
quarterback right right so it's like he'll be in rhythm if you get the best tackle
in college football potentially in a decade,
well then it kind of solves the rhythm issue.
So there's a lot of ways to look at it.
I think, again, when you're offered something
you didn't suspect you'd have,
you have to ask questions.
They didn't think they'd have the number three pick in the draft,
so they're probably sitting, okay.
I think you do the organization of disservice
if you don't have the conversation.
Right.
But if you are going to choose to stay with Tua,
then go all in on him and let him develop.
I also think, I talked to Mark Sanchez about it this week,
and he thinks what happened with Fitzpatrick
taking Tua out. And I agreed. Taking Tua out and letting Fitzpatrick save the day did nothing to
help for the development of Tua. Like it did win some games, but you're not in the playoffs.
So what did it really solve? We know what Fitzpatrick is. I had no problem with them starting him
when they did, and I thought that they should have let him fail. Sometimes seeing what you do in those
tough situations will actually benefit you longer than being saved by a veteran who's not
going to be the future of the organization. So the Seahawks part of ways with the offensive
of coordinator Brian Schottenheimer this week after three years with the team and Russell Wilson
is looking to be involved in the process for the hiring of their next OC.
The next 10 years they're super critical, right, for everybody involved, the whole organization
and also itself.
And me as a player, you know, the legacy that I want to be able to create and do and be able to
step the tempo on, you know what I mean?
And so I think it's vital.
It's a critical, you know, super significant that, you know, obviously that, you know,
part of that process.
Russell Wilson is so good at saying things that if someone else said it would sound hostile,
but when he says it, it's like he's smiling and it makes sense.
I agree with him.
Now, I don't know if the Seahawks are going to oblige.
It's a little different than Deshawn Watson wanting to be involved in the hiring of the GM
and the head coach.
And to Deshawn Watson's credit, they told him they were going to do that as opposed to
him coming up with the idea.
But Russell Wilson's right.
If you bring an offensive coordinator that's not going to align with what Russell does
well or that he's not on the same page with, you're squandering years of Russell's career.
Well, and also it's a very unique organization. The GM, John Snyder, just signed a big
long extension. Pete Carroll just signed a big long extension. Russell's not going anywhere.
So three people have all the power. It behooves them to work together.
So it's not as though the GM has the power and the coach is lame duck and the quarterback.
So everybody's got power here. And they're all rich. So Russell, Pete, and Schneider, don't have to
worry about money. They've got a Super Bowl. They don't have to worry about legacy. It's about the next
five years. Do you want to win more games? And so I think you take these three powerful guys,
the GM, the coach, and the quarterback, sit down and go, let's have dinner. Let's chop this up. We've got to
figure out a guy that works. And there's a real symmetry in this organization. An executive has power.
The coach does now and a star player. So there's nobody that has more power. They've all got it,
sit down, figure it out.
You're all set for life on this with your extensions,
and find a quarterback coach or a coordinator that Russell feels really comfortable with
because Pete mostly runs the defense anyway.
Yeah, they have to be really careful with that higher.
Finally, Jared Goff didn't not start either of the Rams' last two games due to the thumb injury.
He was a full participant in practice this week,
and now John Wolford has been ruled out with a neck injury.
So Goff will be getting the start against the Packers tomorrow.
Blake Bordels will be his backup.
Cooper Cup is still questionable with a knee injury.
Aaron Donald does not have an injury designation for the game and is on track to play.
So he seems like he's as close to 100% as he's going to be, which is good news for them.
I can't see the Rams winning.
I just can't.
I just think that the only way that it happens is if the Packers just completely meltdown.
When's the last time Green Bay didn't play well?
It's the opposite of Kansas City.
I can't remember when was Tampa Bay game?
Week six?
When was it?
Week eight?
When was it?
I don't even remember that game.
I remember it was really windy.
It was sunny and windy, so it was still fairly warm, wasn't it?
It was a night game.
It's just a lot to ask of golf.
His thumb was this big when they showed him on the sideline,
and you're going to have to rely on Camemakers.
Green Bay's aware of that.
It's just going to be a tall order for the Rams.
Yeah, you're right.
Goulet said they did collapse in the second half against the Colts.
But here's my thing.
Did they collapse?
Or did the Colts offensive line just take the game over?
It's not like Aaron played poorly.
I mean, they're just the Colts offensive line literally said, like they did against Buffalo.
We're just going to lean on you and pick up six yards at a chunk.
The Colts are the best seven-scenes.
Yeah, the Colts are not a bad team.
Oh, no, Colts are.
By the way, they had 450 yards against Buffalo.
So, you know, you're going to look at the Colts.
They beat Green Bay and they beat...
Cult are a weird team.
They beat some good.
They had Buffalo dead to rights, didn't beat them.
They did beat Green Bay.
I mean, they're just a little limited.
But that's a good team.
Good stuff, Joy with the News.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotes.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with a little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill,
waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed correct.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.

Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that
we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on Earth,
or are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

Let's not waste any time.
We do it every Friday.
Jason McIntyre.
He's got his radio show every Saturday morning on Fox Sports Radio, 10-1 Eastern.
He is now joining us live.
It's called Tomorrow's Headlines Today, where he, former newspaper guy, tries to predict what will happen in games and gives us the headline.
So let's not waste any time.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
What's the headline going to be for Rams at the Packers?
Great game.
Very excited.
confident about this one, Colin. The headline will be snowplaced like home for Aaron Rogers.
I do like the Packers to win. Close, low scoring game. They're calling for temperatures in the
20s, you know, chilly weather, wind chills very low. That's not good for Jared Gough and his busted
thumb. It's going to be chillier than an Aaron Rogers family reunion, Colin. That doesn't bode well
for the Rams at all. I do think that if, you know, the Rams are going to have any chance to win,
they're going to have to take a page out of the 49ers playbook last year.
Remember, they only threw eight passes in the NFC title game.
They just ran the football, controlled the clock, keep away from Aaron Rogers.
That's probably the only path to victory for the Rams.
I like a low-scoring game, maybe 20 to 17 Packers and Rogers get back to the title game.
Tomorrow's headlines today, Ravens at the Bills.
What's the headline?
Ooh, it's my favorite game of the weekend, Colin.
It's very tough to pick the headline.
will be Lamar wax the Bills Mafia.
I'm going with the Ravens.
I know it's their third straight road game.
Very tall order, but I love what I saw from Lamar Jackson last week, right?
He slayed the narrative.
He can't win in the playoffs.
I mean, double-digit deficit comes back for the victory.
So impressive.
He's the most elusive athlete in sports right now, you know, if you take out Kyrie Irving from the equation.
I mean, Lamar, Colin, 79 yards before contact last week.
I mean, he's getting second and third level before people are,
putting a hand on him.
Wow.
And it's tough to go against the bills here, okay?
They are at home.
Josh Allen's playing out of his mind.
I love the matchup between the Wink Martindale's defense.
Do they stick in man?
Because, you know, Josh Allen has obliterated man defenses this year.
Again, another low-scoring game.
I do like the Ravens and Lamar Jackson here.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Cleveland Big Dog at the Chiefs.
Ooh.
Is this going to be a blowout call?
It's a tough call.
The headline will be sure lock.
Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes, and the Chiefs.
It's tough to pick against him.
I will note this, okay?
They are coming off a buy, but they also sat their stars in week 17.
Now, historically, it's a small sample size.
Teams that have done that sit their guys in week 17, then have a buy.
They've struggled against the spread.
So I think there's some value on the Browns getting 10 here.
Now, I do like the over of 12.5 Baker-Mayfield commercials.
I mean, this guy is on television so often during football games.
It's crazy.
I will say I was impressed with Baker last week, even turning the hat around, coming after you.
You guys really do need, you need to have like a buddy cop commercial.
I mean, maybe Baker can squeeze you into one, right?
Give me the Chiefs advancing.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Bucks at the Saints.
What's it going to be?
Yeah, Colin, this is another one.
This feels like a coin toss, right?
The headline will be Saints so nice.
They beat Brady thrice.
I'm going with the Saints.
They're favored by.
three here. I just think the public is going to come in heavily on Tampa, right? Oh, it's Tom Brady
as an underdog. He just threw for 500 yards last week. We've got to take him. You know, it's the
old man Brady against the whippersnapper, Drew Breeze, who I think turns 42 today. But I think
you've got to trust the numbers. And for me, Colin, this number jumps out. Tampa Bay this
season beat one team that ended with a winning record. Yeah. That was Green Bay three months ago.
Anytime they step up in class, like they can crush the lions and smash all these.
bad teams. When they have to play the Chiefs, the Chiefs dominate that game start to finish.
When they play the Rams, the Rams led that game almost start to finish. I just think the Saints
are the side here, Drew Breeze over Brady. Yeah, I also think the Saints, Mickey Loomis,
the General Manager. I don't think the Saints have a real weakness. I think their roster is just
absolutely fantastic. Unlike New England, they ace the draft every year. All right,
tomorrow's headlines today. What's it going to be for the New Look Brooklyn Net?
Oh, gosh. We had to wedge some NBA in here, right? I love this story. The headline will be Brooklyn, we fall hard. This is obviously a playoff, a rap song that I'm sure you have on your iTunes. Colin, I didn't love this trade. You know, I talked about it on my podcast this week. I don't know at all where the defense comes from. This is a conference with Janice and Joelle Embed. Their only center right now is DeAndre Jordan. I'll probably add somebody, you know, some replacement level guy in a buyout.
but I don't love the defense.
And frankly, Kyrie Irving is troubling me, Colin.
You know, we knew he would be lost without LeBron once he left Cleveland,
but I didn't know it would be this bad.
He is completely gone right now.
And you just, I don't know what to make of Kyrie Irving.
Like James Hardin is a better player than Kyrie Irving.
Kevin Durant is the best player on the team.
I don't know how this experiment will work.
But you and I, you know, we're content guys.
We are here for it.
Yeah.
Finally, the headline for Joy on Sunday.
I'm told you got a headline for that.
So we got, you know, birthdays this month, Colin Cowherd, Jason McIntyre's wife, and the headline
will be, hope your day is Miami Nice. Happy birthday to Joy.
Thank you, Taylor, yes, Joy.
And happy birthday to air.
I'm sure you're going to Vegas or something to celebrate, right?
I can't go to Vegas. I can't leave L.A. County.
I know.
Geez, yeah. You'd have to quarantine for like three months or something.
Yeah, I was in New Orleans last year for my birthday. So we're going to keep it local this year.
But thank you, Jason.
Thank you.
Yes.
Hey, and at least the weather's great, right?
I mean, it's like 80 degrees.
You know, Colin's going to go on one of his grandpa power walks, right, later on this afternoon.
People will see him with his headband on, you know?
That'll be me.
Good seeing you, buddy.
All right, guys.
Have a great one.
Happy birthday to Ann, too.
Me and Ann have the same birthday.
Isn't that weird?
Yeah.
That is the craziest thing.
Do you have something big plans?
She is going to Chicago Sunday.
Long story.
Not going to bore people with it, but that's near and dear to her heart and our heart and our family.
Chicago girl.
Right. She's, well, she's from Detroit, Birmingham, Michigan, but Chicago is the city she truly loves.
And so she's got a little project there she's working on. She's all excited for it.

So I have, I'm on the NFL kickoff tomorrow. I don't even know when I'm, I don't even know when I'm supposed to show up.
The game's at 2.30 Eastern.
That's 11.30 Pacific.
I think I have to be here at like 8 in the morning.
I don't know.
Can someone get called on a schedule?
A call time?
I have no idea what the call time is tomorrow.
But we'll have all our NFL shows on and the Packers and the Rams.
And can't wait for it for everybody.
Joy, happy birthday this weekend.
John Goulet.
We'll see you.
It's The Herd.
