Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifers Show.
Starting point is 00:01:21 This is a place for raw, unfilled conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. So let's get to it. Listen to the Clifford show on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok's podcast network on TikTok. Hey, what's good, y'all? You're listening to Learn the Hardway with your favorite therapist and host, Kear Games. This space is about black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing. How many men carry a suit or armor. It signals to the world that you not to be played with.
Starting point is 00:02:00 And just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to, listen to learn the hard way on the IHard radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Thanks for listening to The HARD podcast. Be sure to catch us live every weekday from 12 to 3 Eastern, 9 to noon Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and FS1. Find your local station for the herd at Fox SportsRadio.com or stream us live every day on the IHartRadio app by search
Starting point is 00:02:24 heard. We're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Played under Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, and Pete Carroll, decade and a half in the NFL, a Super Bowl champion of multiple time pro bowl where he's also got one of the best cabs in the world.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Doubleback.com, doubleback winery. I love having Drew Bledso on. And we were just talking during the break. I am such a recruiting nerd. We were talking about recruiting. That's what my life is... You do love it. Well, you've got your things.
Starting point is 00:02:56 with AAU basketball. I like high school football recruiting. We're kind of dorks. Well, yeah, it fits. There we go. Drew Bledsoe is now joining us live. You know, it's interesting. So Brady got run out of the building against the Saints earlier in the year,
Starting point is 00:03:13 had no impact. Aaron got run out of Tampa earlier in the year. And it's interesting. You know, you would think when a good team gets blown out, it's a matchup issue. That's why I thought the Saints would win. Go back to your own. career when you face a team a second or a third time after you've been, you know, really
Starting point is 00:03:31 an avalanche, you got blown out. Does it have a psychological effect? Does it, is it an aid or does it hurt? You know, in some ways, I think it probably benefits the team that lost the most because they have to go change things. Like, okay, what we did last time, that didn't work. So we got to go fix it and we got to do something different. The team that won, we're like, well, that plan worked last time.
Starting point is 00:03:55 I guess we'll try that again. So I think in some ways it does benefit the team that lost in the previous game. That's certainly proved true in the Saints Bucks game. But when you get your butt-whooped, there's nothing that drives you to improve more than the pain of losing in a painful way. It's kind of been two seasons for Thomas. First nine games, we showed the numbers earlier in the last nine. what do you think was the toughest part? The playbook, the new coaches, the new teammates, drew in your moves of those many things that line up.
Starting point is 00:04:33 What's the toughest for a veteran quarterback? It's definitely the teammates. And when I say that, I'm talking about timing, body language, understanding the way different receivers look when they're getting ready to come out of a break. The playbook, not an issue for Tom. the coaches, you know, whatever. I mean, shoot, he's got Byron Leftwich as his quarterback coach who played his entire career in the middle of Tom's career. They're going to get along fine. But as a quarterback, particularly as a pocket passer, you know, you rely on timing and accuracy and throwing the ball early and throwing guys open.
Starting point is 00:05:12 In order to do that, you really have to understand those guys. And particularly with a very limited offseason, that was the most difficult part for sure. Yeah. You know, I, Green Bay, Matt LaFleur, obviously year two of this thing, it just looks different. I mean, all these offensive guys were here two years ago, and it looks different. And a couple of times there's been funny moments where Aaron Rogers goes to the line of scrimmage. He's smiling and he's smirking. I mean, you have to have a fairly, you have to be pretty comfortable as an NFL quarterback. Was there every year when you were in a system long enough or you felt comfortable enough that the game really was, Drew, it was easy?
Starting point is 00:05:49 It was really enjoyed. I mean, football's hard. How football practice is hard. But there are there stretches in your career you go back to and you thought, in the middle of a game, you could frame it like, this is really fun today. I'm really having fun. You know, there were a few times. Now, I had eight coordinators in 14 years. So when you talk about how long it was in a system.
Starting point is 00:06:10 But there were a couple of it. There were a couple of coordinators that, and also that also has to tie together with the right offensive, you know, people. in order to make that happen. But my first year in Buffalo, first of all, we had weapons all over the place. We had great offensive line. We were kind of lighten the world on fire there for a while with Eric Molds and Peerless Price and Travis Henry and Larry Centers and all of these guys. And so that was fun. You know, say, hey, just give me the ball. Let's go. And then I also was with Sean Payton, my first year with the Cowboys. And, you know, Sean, and obviously we've seen that with the rapport.
Starting point is 00:06:48 he's had all these years with Drew Breeze. Sean's a really gifted play caller, and I really felt like with him, I knew what the next play was after we ran the last play. I almost didn't even have to wait for it to come in. I knew what we were doing next. So those were the two times
Starting point is 00:07:02 that immediately jumped to the forefront of my mind. So I said this morning, I would give Philip Rivers a Hall of Fame vote because I think we have to consider grading on a scale. I think Big Ben had great ownership and great stability, and Eli Manning had great defenses, and Philip Rivers beats them in like eight categories.
Starting point is 00:07:24 And that's not to say the Chargers World was poorly run, but they did have five coaches and fired a guy for going 14 and 2. I honestly, I've always felt sympathy for a Carson Palmer where I'm like, you know, if he'd have landed somewhere else besides Cincinnati, Carson Palmer would have a different career. You've never voiced any resentment to me in your entire, and the times we've talked off the air. But do you sometimes think about, you know, I could have landed other places and it would have looked different?
Starting point is 00:07:58 Oh, that's certainly the case. I mean, I've never been one to think about that a lot. I've always considered it such an amazing privilege to have, you know, played NFL quarterback for 14 years. However, quarterbacks are certainly at the mercy of where they land and what organization they're a part of. You know, I bang on the Jets all the time because I say that's where good quarterbacks go to die. And, you know, and I think Sam Darnold happens to be a very, very good quarterback.
Starting point is 00:08:31 But the Jets are going to have to figure it out. No matter who is there, you know, they're going to have to figure it out. You look at the Browns and the list of quarterbacks that the Browns had. And I think it's like a stat compared to the time that Brady was in New England at something like 20-something quarterbacks at the Brown's head. Well, not all 20 of those quarterbacks sucked, Colin. They're actually pretty good players. They actually got to the NFL.
Starting point is 00:08:54 They were pretty good players. But they just happened to land with the Browns when they were a historically awful franchise. So you're certainly at the mercy of that. Now, there are some quarterbacks that are transcendent that can rise above that. You know, you look at John Elway. He didn't get a ton of help in Denver for a long, long time. And was left to win those games at the end. So, you know, as a quarterback, you know, you go out and you,
Starting point is 00:09:17 You do everything you can. You do everything you can do to help your team win. Sometimes that works in your favor. Sometimes that doesn't work in your favor. But unfortunately, at that position, you know, you judge by rings, which a lot of times is out of your control. Philip Rivers retired. Drew Brees probably will.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Big Ben's close. Tom shouldn't. He looks good. Did you know, was it a bad practice, a bad hit? Like when was the moment you knew? Because you could still throw the ball now. When did you know? You know, for me, it was not about.
Starting point is 00:09:47 leaving football, it was about what was next. You know, I still love football. Big fan of the game. I loved it when I was playing. But for me, it was not about stopping that. It was like, okay, you know what? I've kind of been working on this wine thing and let's go see what's next
Starting point is 00:10:03 and what's around the next corner. You know, and I know that Breeze, for example, has a broadcasting thing waiting for him, and I know he has a ton of business interest. You know, it sounds like Phillips going to go coach some high school football, which is awesome. Did that did that for a while. I absolutely loved it.
Starting point is 00:10:19 But then when you look at Tom, you know, he says it. He goes, the thing he likes to do most in the world is play football. The thing he likes to do second most in the world is prepare to play football. And if that's what he's doing, then, you know, by all means, play until they kick you out. Finally, I thought the play of the weekend was actually from a backup,
Starting point is 00:10:38 Chad Henney. When they, they, I mean, I was just, it really, it's cool. Because to your point, to make the NFL is, Unbelievable. You have to be the best high school football player in your town, your region, probably your state. You have to be a great college player. Bruce Radkowski is the best player in his whole conference. And then Chad Henny gets to the NFL. He's great. And he doesn't get any, he doesn't play much. And then he gets this moment. And I thought to myself, you know, more I've thought about it, I've thought, well, he's a pro athlete. He wouldn't be scared of giving a pro athlete. He's made that throw a thousand times.
Starting point is 00:11:14 That said, were you kind of surprised they called the play? Well, I was surprised, certainly, but there's also a genius to Andy Reid and what he does. So you've got your backup quarterback that hasn't been in, hasn't played a lot, you got Matt in Mahomes. All of a sudden, as a quarterback, because it wasn't just that play, but they were throwing the ball earlier. I think they threw it on third down. Yep. And so all of a sudden, as that quarterback is Chad Henney, you're out there and you're like, oh, my coach believes me. He's going to trust me right here. And all of a sudden, not only do you know that you can make
Starting point is 00:11:49 the play, but now you also know that your coach knows you can make that play and he trusts you. So if Chad Henney does actually have to play in the championship game, he goes into that knowing that not only does he believe in himself, but his coach believes in him, and therefore the player is going to believe it, but believe in him too. That's great. All right, doubleback winery, doubleback.com. And by the way, I don't understand the timing of grapes and everything. You got something new coming out? We just released the 2018 Cabernet, Colin, to our VIP list. And this will sound like a marketing pitch because it is.
Starting point is 00:12:23 But it's also the truth. The 2018s are the best wines we've ever made. And our team has just been killing it for us. And so, yeah, really excited about these. And they're going fast. You know, you could send your friend one. You know, just one bottle to send your friend. That would be really nice.
Starting point is 00:12:40 I that and I think we actually have a bottle of a small bottle and called Joy so we'll send some for you and it's spelled differently Joy but I will send you down a bottle of Joy J-O-I we'll drink it by the way it's the best cab I've ever had in my life go to Wine Spectator see the rating it's great doubleback.com great seeing you Drew likewise buddy see you yeah he's a he's coaching high school football got his boys up there in Walla Walla, Wall of Washington. Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast. I'm Sam J.
Starting point is 00:15:18 And I'm Alex English. Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s. To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack. I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know. I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed correct. So I'm starting to see that there's a through line. We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Thank you for finishing that sentence. Yes. I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Really? Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history. Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Starting point is 00:16:07 Therapist, Kier Games. And in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field and conversations with so many incredible guests. I'm talking. Tripp Fantine, Ryan Clark. Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
Starting point is 00:16:28 And we're still chasing it. And we don't know when we've done enough. Because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes about wins and losses. Steve Burns. Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth, or are you a good person because you're afraid? Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Absolutely. And that's two different levels of trust. I want you to just really be a good person. Starting point is 00:17:05 No, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. Well, the Packers were blown out by the Bucks back in week six. They lost 38 to 10. Pretty memorable game this season. But Aaron Rogers does not think that game matters as they prepare for the rematch in the NFC championship game. I think the week six game matters just about as much as when the Saints went to Tampa and beat them 38 to 3.
Starting point is 00:17:32 It obviously didn't affect them last week at all. It didn't matter. at all. We lost by 20 at their place. They lost by 35 at home. They just beat the Saints by 10. This is a funny game and things change. People, teams change and evolve and either get better or get worse. There's not much staying the same. He is right about that. There are some things that you can take from it. Obviously, you're going to study the film and, you know, try and pick up on some of their plays and things like that, but you can't lean too much into regular season games.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Not only is the playoffs a completely different season. Well, players get hurt or get healthy. To his point, very few things stay the same throughout the season. You have young guys come in, people get injured, you change plays, you make adjustments. Like, you're not going to
Starting point is 00:18:21 stay the same. It's not really going to be the same team that you're going to see at this point in the season. Also, a great example, take the Colts. So they were a different team. Anthony Costanzo left tackle. In the middle of the season, he got hurt. Oh, they weren't as good. Jonathan Taylor, the running back from Wisconsin,
Starting point is 00:18:36 developed a lot over the season. By Thanksgiving, you're like, oh, we have a star running back in the NFL. But he had no preseason or camp, so he's a kid out of Wisconsin. It took him like eight weeks to get into the flow of it. Just two players for them, they're running back, their left tackle, the veteran left tackle, the kid running back.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Like, it changed what the Colts looked like. So when they had both Taylor who emerged, Costanzo, that's healthy at the end of the year, they go to Buffalo and go toe to toe for a chance to get to the AFC champion. And that game wasn't decided until the very end. Look at the difference between the buck's first half of the season and the second half of the season. Antonio Brown's around. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:12 The Packers scored a season low in points that game. Rogers had a season worst completion percentage. He was awful for the second quarter. 45.71. Not going to do that again. And a season low pass, a rating of 35.4 to go along with 160 yards, no passing touchdowns, and two interceptions. He had three interceptions and 16 other games, including. the playoffs combined.
Starting point is 00:19:34 He had two, he had a pick six and a near pick six in one quarter. Remember that game turned very quickly because they were up 10. Oh, they played great. He did the double back hip thrust thing. And everybody was like, oh, that's a little over the top. And then the next quarter, he had the worst quarter of his career. The Broncos recently hired George Payton as their general manager. The biggest question for the team right now is what they're going to do with the quarterback
Starting point is 00:19:59 position. And they're going to continue with Drew Locke. and Peyton spoke about how they evaluate the position moving forward. I like Drew coming out of the draft, you know, big arm, athletic, playmaker. You know, I haven't studied him. I haven't got into a lot of tape. I've only been here four days. You know, I've watched enough tape to know that he's talented.
Starting point is 00:20:19 He can develop. I think we all want the franchise quarterback. And that's your number one goal, you know, is try to draft and develop or require any way you can. John Alway said he's still very high on Drew Locke. His completion percentage is... Now, here's the thing. Josh Allen got the right coach. He went from 55% to 70.
Starting point is 00:20:40 So Drew locks it like 56%. I think he plays way too casual. Yeah, so that's the question. Is he... He's casual. Yeah, does he have the urgency? He's like cool. He's just kind of out there.
Starting point is 00:20:53 He's kind of like... His coolness doesn't bother me as much as it bothers you, but... I don't like cool quarterbacks. I don't like them. I prefer cool when you're accomplished. Yeah, well, Patrick Mahomes is cool, but he's not trying to be cool. But he's cool. I think Drew Locke is naturally cool, but it probably would be cooler if it was accompanied with wins.
Starting point is 00:21:17 And the ball landed in a man's hands. That would be way cooler. That was wearing the same jersey and things like that. When I say this, he plays. No, I understand what you're saying. He's a little J. Cutler. There's not really like a sense of urgency. There's not an anger.
Starting point is 00:21:30 It's not a rage. him when things go wrong. He just throws the ball up sometimes and it's just like, it's like it's not basketball where you can miss 50% of your shots and be a Hall of Famer. You've got to complete seven out of ten of these things. Well, they have the ninth pick in the draft right now. So I don't know about nine.
Starting point is 00:21:47 I'll tell you what, their skill, I'll say this. I love Denver. Oh, I like their tight end. I love their backs. That's where they, now their defense was shockingly awful at the end of the year. Yeah. Some of that was, they had a injury. I think they had the injury on the D-line, but they're like everybody in the NFL. They need another corner. They need quite a few pieces, but they mostly need to figure out
Starting point is 00:22:12 what they're going to do with Drew Locke because they are at the ninth position in the draft. Their position is, and by the way, the Holmes and Justin Herbert are in that division and Derek Carr. Yeah. Okay, Drewlock right now is not only the fourth best quarterback. He's not close. So if you're going to give him one more year, he has to make a massive leap. Because right now, Now, Mahalm's best, Herbert Carr, and there really isn't, it is a chasm to get to the third with Derek Carr. Yeah, that's it. You have to, your goal versus win your division. That's a very tough division to win.
Starting point is 00:22:45 And you can't have the fourth worst quarterback if you're going to try and make a wild card spot. So Zion Williamson started off his second NBA season with some historic numbers. In Sunday's game against the Kings, he scored 31 points with an 86.7 field goal percentage. He followed up that performance with 32 points. while shooting 73 points of 7% from the field last night against the jazz. And those numbers have made him the youngest player to drop at least 30 points on at least 70% field goal percentage in consecutive games. He's the first player also to ever do this in Pelican's history.
Starting point is 00:23:17 You know why I love his game, Joy? I like dunks. He's a power player. And everybody now is a finesse player. All the European bigs are all finesse guys. He is 1979 NBA basketball. He has a little old school. Dunk, power, everything is leaning into you.
Starting point is 00:23:36 I love his game is so, and this is one of the things about the NBA. Stylistically, and I love the sport, it's a lot of threes, and it's getting to a point where people are shooting 55 a night. I miss that style of game. I miss the forceful. There used to be 20 guys in the league that were just power players. He's like it. Well, the games evolved a lot. I know.
Starting point is 00:24:02 He brings a good balance to it. And while he does have a bit old school. Oh, my God. He's definitely a highlight reel. I love that he's shooting this well as well, and that he's also playing 32.6 minutes per game this season. He's averaging 23.4 points per game and eight rebounds per game. Pelicans are 5 and 8.
Starting point is 00:24:21 I still think they're a player away from really being contenders. God. But he is, I mean, he's everything he was billed to be. Because he has this. ferocious style of play, but he has such a joyful, like, youthful energy to his personality. So it's not, uh, it's... Oh! Oh, sorry, radio audience.
Starting point is 00:24:42 Just call and yelling at her dogs. God, I love his game. I love everything about it. Joy of the news. Well, that's the news. And thanks for stopping by. The herd line news. I like dunks.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Who doesn't? Dr. J was the first player I love. I like dunks. Okay. At the rim. in your face, disgrace. Josh Norman's around the corner. Goula is just rolling his eyes at me.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged. Starting point is 00:27:07 Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill Waxing All About Crack in the 80s To be clear, 84 is big to me not just because of crack I'm down to talk about crack on day But just so y'all know I mean at this point Mark this is the second episode Where we've discussed crack So I'm starting to see that there's a through line
Starting point is 00:27:24 We also have AIDS on the table right now So Thank you for finishing that. I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Really? Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history. Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

And in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field and conversations with so many incredible guests. I'm talking. Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark. Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing. And we're still chasing it.
Starting point is 00:28:12 And we don't know when we've done enough. Because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes about wins and losses. Steve Burns, Dustin Ross. Because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth. Are you a good person because you're afraid? Because that's two different intentions, bro. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:28:28 And that's two different. levels of trust. I want you to just really be a good person. Join me, Kear Gaines, as we have real conversations about healing, growth, fatherhood, pressure, and purpose on my new podcast, Learn the Hardway. Open your free iHeartRadio app. Search Learn the Hardway and listen now. Michelin Endurance XT silicone wiper blades available only at Walmart last two times longer than other blades. Almost a decade in the NFL. He's been to a Super Bowl. He's been a pro bowler. He's also helping businesses out in Buffalo with a Buffalo business. He's raised almost $500,000.
Starting point is 00:29:01 He's part of the community. Told us last week he loves it. They beat Baltimore, and he is now joining us live. The Bill's cornerback, Josh Norman, friend at Fox. We had him on our show for years. All right, so you'll go from playing run-centric Baltimore to Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City. So I imagine this week of practice is a little different than last week at practice, right? Yeah, man, it's life in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Yeah. They never are the same weeks. They're always going to be something, you know, that throws a cheap knife in there to say, hey, look, we've got to switch it up. That's what we're doing, and we're looking forward to it. So you've already faced Kansas City and Mahomes once. What do you remember, Josh, about that game? Remember we lost.
Starting point is 00:29:52 That's pretty much kind of it. But now, you know, going in this week, we have a full deck. And we plan that way. Guys out here, they are playing fast, and they're hungry. And they have something that they feel we need to prove. We all have something we feel we need to prove. And we look at that as a dangerous combination because of how we've been playing
Starting point is 00:30:19 and what we've been able to accomplish. And we know what's up ahead of us and what's at stake. And so all that combined in line, it's got to go out and do our thing. So Cleveland struggled, Travis Kelsen, is as good a tight end as the sport has. And if you box him up, that leaves Hardman, that leaves Tyreek Hill on the outside. So when you play a team like Kansas City, do you mix up zone man to man? Do you already know your assignments?
Starting point is 00:30:46 Is it a constant flux of what you're going to try to do defensively? Or do you already kind of know who you'll guard? You got to do a little bit of all of that, Colin. You really do. I think when you look at this offense, they can present so many threats to us. they do so many things. They really do. They have the tightie and Kelsey.
Starting point is 00:31:06 They have wide receivers. I mean, Hartman and Treek. I mean, guys take the tops off. And they have the backs with what are now coming in. And then you have the cue back there at 15. One top quarterbacks in the league. So they have a lot of weapons that can affect us if we don't do our job and handle those things. And what we play and what we do will be predicated on the defense.
Starting point is 00:31:31 style. And so whatever that is, you guys will see that on Sunday. This is the second, probably the second biggest game in your career, second or third biggest game. Not everybody on Buffalo, most of your teammates have not been in a game of this magnitude. And sometimes young players, Josh, get so hyped up. They're prone to make mistakes in these big games because you probably go back to your early career. You're now a veteran. Have you talked to the players about the magnitude of the game, which is probably the biggest for 90% of your roster? Oh, absolutely. We've been fired up since we was able to see each other this week back in the building lot yesterday. I really can't stop with the energy
Starting point is 00:32:18 and juices and excitement because you don't get this opportunity often. Some people never got this opportunity. I've been playing probably 16 years in the league. Like, how? been blessed. I'm fortunate to be in this opportunity twice and you cannot take that for granted. Whatever you got to do this week, this week is the only
Starting point is 00:32:42 week that matters. And letting those guys know that understanding that, hey look man, whatever you got to give, whatever you got to do extra to get yourself motivated for this moment, look, it don't come often. It's no tomorrow, it's no next week, it's only this week. If you
Starting point is 00:32:58 struggle with a juice, we got people that can find it and get it for you. I know I'm going to have a whole bunch on the sideline with those guys, and whenever an opportunity for presenting itself to go in, I'm going to continue to bring that. And I know other guys are as well. I mean, you've got Diggs, you have a league quarterback Josh Allen. He's bringing it, offensive line, defense the line, I mean, guys in the back and secondary up front and special teams,
Starting point is 00:33:22 oh my gosh, man. And we're just going to go out there and we're going to play our style of football. So last week, Terran Johnson, the biggest, moment in his career. It was as big a moment as the weekend had. He intercepts the ball in the end zone. Take me to the play what you're thinking when it happens. Let's go back to that. Well, I mean, listen, we're playing a couple two drop. He's just cheating, cheating, and he sees it. He breaks on the ball. He always happens during the practice and being coached to do, man. I don't think nobody's more happy to him than Jimmy right now and south.
Starting point is 00:33:56 But he was able to Make that off with a pick six And every time he touched the ball Mr. Frazier, he wanted 10 pick sixes this week Well, 10 touchdowns during the year And shoot, man, we had four right there We can get our goal, hopefully, but not We probably won't, but still at the same time
Starting point is 00:34:14 He gave us some subscribe for in Taryn That's the second pick six of the season So he's been there before And he's touching the pay dirt again, man It's just, it was a backbreaker to You know, the Baltimore Ravens when that happened because we knew that, you know, we was up. And you can see Trey right there out in front of them, man,
Starting point is 00:34:30 just getting that extra block to spring up. This is a team, it's a team game, and it's a team sport. And we on a, you know, a game, well, we're on a team where everybody loves everybody. And as you can see, there again, I mean, you even got big Tim running down the field. I think he was clocked with like 18, 19 miles per hour as a big lineman. So, I mean, we all just for one another.
Starting point is 00:34:52 We don't care who gets the glory as long as we win. And we have a team like that, man. You can go in the sky's a limit. God, look at that big husky offensive linemen running. I'm telling you, he was rolling, man. And he was roving. He was. He was.
Starting point is 00:35:07 You saw that. It was crazy. Like, guys just, like, juice. I mean, look at the line, though. They back there in the field, like in the lap of the quarterback. So, look, like I said, I'm so fortunate to be on a team like this that, you know, they love up on each other and they don't care who gets. worry. We just want to win.
Starting point is 00:35:27 Also raised $500,000 for the Buffalo Business Blitz. He is part of the community. No fan base, maybe Green Bay. There's very few that love their team and love their players more than Buffalo. Josh, you never thought you'd play there. You are
Starting point is 00:35:43 and they love you. Yes, indeed. We love them too, man. And we're so fortunate up to help them out during times like these. It really is. They are a special, special group of human beings. They truly are. Bill's Mafia is an elite. If anybody want to model how a fan base should be, look at them and take no note because they almost raised closely if they're not
Starting point is 00:36:09 already $2 million during this COVID from their donations. They donated to Josh Allen's fund. They donated to Lamar Jackson, but it just happened with him like some $400,000. They donated meal plus to Josh Allen earlier and now coming up on close $600,000 for us and it's it's been phenomenal how impactful they have been during this time like it's I can't even put it in the words they've been great and Western New York in itself just supporting everyone out here in the businesses from the struggling of what's COVID has you know presented to everybody I'm just grateful that I'm able to do all I can in the community here in Buffalo. Josh Norman, good talking to you.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Good luck this weekend. He gets Patrick Holmes and the Chiefs. Oh, yeah, Kyle, man. We've got to bring one home. All right. Air conditioning units very loud in Buffalo. It is, I will say this, it is an amazing, you know, you know, I always know this. Small towns have high school football, medium-sized towns, like, you know, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Austin, Texas.
Starting point is 00:37:21 they have college football, and then big cities have pro sports. And then there's Buffalo and Green Bay. And they are, they're really college towns that just tend to have pro sports. It's their only team, too. And they are, their fan base is insane. It just, listen, they were great for a decade. And then they couldn't find the coach and the quarterback. And they went through a lot of that.
Starting point is 00:37:48 And the good news for Buffalo, they found both the coach and the quarterback. quarterback at the same time. And they're very patient fan base. They're loyal as well. Absolutely. The Josh Allen situation would not have worked everywhere. And to his point, what they did for Lamar Jackson's Foundation was very cool. They donated a lot of money after his concussion. Black Rifle Coffee Company, veteran owned.
