basketball team's in the tank. That's some good news. Hey, why? Doug Cabelléle-Lo. Catino Mobley, over a decade in the NBA, 16-point-a-game guy. Multiple playoff appearances and his career is now joining us live, the former NBA star.

You know, it's actually you led the Clippers to their first playoff series win, if I recall. You remember that? Yes, sir. And so the expectations were pretty low back then. And then they get Paul George and Kauai and now expectations are big. And they're about to get swept in the first round in Catino. I'm sorry, but Steve Ballmer didn't pay $2 billion to get run by the Mavs.

And the first round is a favorite. it. If this thing's a sweep, you played for teams. Not all series losses feel the same, Cotino. Some are humiliating. What do you think happens if the Clippers get swept in the first round? Well, yeah, I mean, listen, it's tough. With the Clippers, I don't, as much as I love the individual players, I don't feel as though that they are good mesh together. It seems like they're being exposed. You haven't really heard of them making any. noise this year, even though they played pretty well on and off. But it seems like right now, it's more of a psychological thing that Dallas has their number. And Luca is just very hard to

deal with because he's, you know, he's 6-8. He's not a skinny kid. He's been playing in a pro since he was, I don't know, 14, 15 years old. So it doesn't matter who guards him. And so when the Clippers right now, for me, understanding the Clippers, I just think it's more of a, it's a mental block about how do we get past this situation? Because of course they're hearing all the news. And, you know, if they don't win the series and it, you know, to get swept, what would we do? When we blow up the team, blah, blah, blah. So that does take a toll for them. Meanwhile, the Lakers last night, you know, I was saying this, Anthony Davis is much better than Rashid Wallace, but I covered Rashid. And when Rashid wanted to be great, he could do it all.

He could shoot jumpers, put it on the deck, he could post up. He was a guy. He was a great defender. Did you ever play with anybody like Anthony Davis who was incredibly talented, but you didn't necessarily get the aggressive version every night? Not every guy's built like Michael Jordan that he wakes up every morning and wants to get into a fist fight. Like you played with some guys like this probably, right? Is it frustrating? It is frustrating. Listen, I, you know, I hold my heart very close with Rashid Wallace because we grew up together. We're very close friends. them their best friends growing up myself him album williams all of us grew up together so rachie wallops is just more of a team player so whatever the team needed he did i think what

anthony davis is listen anthony davis is amazing you know 34 and 11 last night but it's you know remember when he was with new orleans he was doing it he 45 and 17 boards and he was still lose i think the the best thing about the lakers and anthony davis giving the 34 and 11 and dominating is that you had that LeBron James and you had these role players that are literally cleaning up all the mess that he didn't have when he was in New Orleans. When it comes to a person like Anthony Davis

from me and seeing how dominant he can be every single night, sometimes I don't see it in some nights. And then he'll have a bad game and he comes back and he has an amazing game. I like to see that more so every single night with Anthony Davis. But I think also too is that LeBron James, factor where he makes it a lot easier. So Anthony's just out there, you know, beating people up one-on-one by himself, kind of.

You know, I think people after Miami got to the finals last year, we all expected, you know, an encore. And it's like, nah, sometimes you just have a year when you get some breaks, you're healthy. They were in the bubble last year, a bunch of young kids in the bubble, and the veteran teams did not play particularly well. And they had a bunch of young kids. It was like AAU basketball, and they loved it. And I look at Miami and people are going to say, what a disappointment.

And I'm like, well, they were like a five seed, six seed last year, five seed this year. How about just Milwaukee's way better? And they got, and Milwaukee added pieces. Like I don't think Miami's a huge disappointment. I just think Miami was a bit, you know, a little bit of it was lightning in a bubble last year, right? Yeah, you know what, Colin, you hit it right on the nose, man. I love watching you. You're very accurate.

It's definitely what you see. Milwaukee's a better team this year. And when you have one of the best two-way players in the game than Drew Holiday, it makes you that much better. I mean, we're talking about three or four possessions where it changes the game to where you're winning by 15 points because mentally you've drained the opposite team. You know, and Miami, I think they're like when you have a lot of those guys, like you said, it was more of an AAU.

environment for a lot of those young guys. That's why you see the Tyler Heroes in the world and all these guys doing so well inside the bubble and a lot of the veterans were struggling. I think, you know, with coming off of that finals for Miami, it was a little bit of celebrating and that we can't wait to next year comes. Then injuries started to hit and they finally realized, oh, this is the NBA. We're going back to big arenas and we won't be closed in. So, you know, it's tough for Miami.

me, but I think, you know, you can't discredit Milwaukee. Milwaukee's a lot better, you know, than they were last year. Yeah, they don't need Chris Middleton to give him 28 a night. If he gives him 20 and hits some shots, now with Drew Holiday, he can be a three, and I think that's what he's built to do. Now, you know, it's funny. The Knicks, sometimes you just need a soul as a team. You've got to have a culture.

Not every team has NBA finals talent. Brooklyn's got a lot of talent. The question for them is, can they kind of find a lot of? a soul. Well, the Knicks have the soul. They play defense. They play hard. Everybody plays big minutes. It's Tom Tibido. I don't think they have a ton of talent. Did you ever play in a team a little bit like the Knicks where the ceiling was low, but the belief and the nightly belief, man, we're going to outplay people. We're going to outwork them. We're going to out defend them because I look at the Knicks and see this really low ceiling, but I love watching them play. They play so hard. They're

toe, so they found their foundation. They just need now shooters. Do you ever play on a team like that? You know what? I don't know if I played on a team like that because a lot of the teams that I was on were very talented. Whether it was the Rockets for myself Steve Francis Jalming or Sacramento Kings. Well, actually about how about Orlando Magic? Whereas myself, Steve Francis, Dwight Howard, Jamir Nelson, Hito Turcolo, Grand Hill.

And then you have Sacramento Kings where it's my big baby. Pages St. Rockavis, Chris Weber, Brad Miller. And then I go to the Clippers, where it's Corey McGettie and Elton Brand and Sam Cassell. And so I had talented guys on the team. But when I, you know, it's, what the Knicks is Tom Tibido was my coach. I think he's the best defensive coach ever in the history of the game. And that's the way they play. They'll always go to the playoffs with Tom Tibdo, I think, because that's how he was in Chicago.

That's how he was when he were in Houston. you know, I just, I think they just need something else. I'm not really sure what it is, but they do need something else. They have a lot of young guys that they can build off of. But I just, I wouldn't want them to get caught up in that New York energy where you start to feel yourself, right? You have to literally stay the course, understand the development in the game. And because they're younger, you know, Julius Randalls of the world, you're a little nervous

playing in the playoffs, especially with this environment. with New York and you got Spike Lee on the sideline yelling, you know, and all crazy stuff, which we love. But it's just, I think with Tom Tibuto, his teams are always 50 wins, 60 win teams. It's just about getting over that hump. And I'm not really sure what that hump is. By the way, you're wearing a shirt you look fantastic in. I would look, I would look ridiculous in.

And you can always tell people that have style. Because if I wore that shirt, it would just not work anywhere, any time. And you wear it and you're like, man, that guy looks lit. He looks cool. So congratulations on having style, Coutinho. Thanks, buddy. I appreciate you, brother. Good seeing you.

Yes, of the NBA. Clyde Frazier did it in the 70s, and then there were a handful of guys like Catino that are like, they know how to dress. Well, I don't want to integrate lit again into the broadcast, but we're talking about young players. right now. CBS Sports put together a list of the top 25 NFL

players under 25. Under 25. Yes. They use past performance, future projection, as well as the value of their position to rank each player. So a little bit of a formula. Okay. They excluded this year's rookies who haven't played in the league yet. So their top NFL players

under 25, according to CBS Sports. Lamar Jackson number one. Then Justin Herbert, Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa at 4, Jaira Alexander, at 5. Then they have Chase Young, Justin Jefferson, Joe Burrow at 8, D.K. Metcalf at 9, and A.J. Brown at 10. I don't have a problem. I think that's a pretty good list by CBS. You're usually very picky with lists. No, that's a pretty good list.

They have Sequin at 14. Part of that was due to his injuries. Yeah, we haven't seen him playing a while. And Antoine Winfield Jr., who's tremendous, at 21. So some who just missed the top 25 are Ronald Jones, T. Higgins, Judeo Smith-Schuster, and Darius Slayton. This is pretty good. I like this list. what I, this would, my list would look a lot like this. I think, again, I think Chase Young and Justin Jefferson are a ridiculous, but they haven't played a ton. So let's see. Even Justin Herbert, I've heard an NFL scout said, Justin Herbert may pull back this year. And I'm like,

why? He goes, there's fans in the stands. He played with no fans. So all these young quarterbacks, you're like, it's like playing practice. He said, Justin Herbert's now going the road, a couple, you know, Arrowhead, start going to Vegas, senior division, Denver. with fans. And so Justin, Chase Young and Jefferson, they may be very close

to be in two, three, and four, but I need some more snaps. I got to see more. Yeah, I mean, Josh Allen talks about how just a little bit of fans that were there last year towards the end of the season

in the playoffs affected him. It's a big difference. I could see that factoring in. Some listed as maybe next year, Cam Acres, Clyde Edwards, Hilaire, Jared Judy,

C.D. Lamb, and Jonathan Taylor. All right, I'll tell you, players. C.D. Lamb and Jonathan Taylor, both pop. Jonathan Taylor popped in the last month last year.

He has a chance. That's the running back from Wisconsin. He could be a star because he is a track guy. He's a big home run hitting running back. So Joe Burrow is participating in the Bengals OTAs this week, getting his first reps with the team since he tore his ACL and MCL last season. Oh, he is. After his first day back, he said his knee feels really good.

And he's backed about 85% strength. Okay. And receiver, Tyler Boyd, is ready to see Burrow elevate the team in 2021. He said nothing average about Joe. He's going to lead us to the promise land. Joe looks great. He looks like he's ready to play a game right now. I'm not worried about Joe.

He makes magic when his number's called. I know we're one of the teams that guys are going to worry about. Well, Cincinnati, if they're the fourth best team in that division, with that offense now, got punchers chance. You got, you start. They could mess up some people's seasons. Oh. We talked a little bit about Carolina last year, who was not, they were a little more disappointing than I thought they were going to be.

I thought they were going to be better than that. But Carolina was in the space last year where we were like, we don't think they're going to be great, but they could steal a win here and mess up somebody's playoff chances. And I feel that way about the Bengals. Getting Joe back, who was so fun to watch and so disappointing to see him go down, he's going to be a star in the league. Like, he just needs more time.

It really makes Cincinnati fun. That division now is really, and to your point, I can remember that game last year when they had a show? shootout with the Browns. And everybody was like, what a day for Baker. And I was like, yeah, Baker played well. But Baker's got a bunch of great players with him. Like the Bengals went toe to toe with a richly talented Cleveland team.

And you're like, that's scary for that division. You got a rookie quarterback, a young coach. You got like T. Higgins is your one receiver. Now you had Jamar Chase. Burroughs got coaching. Zach Taylor now camps. They upgraded the O line. they have some firepower.

Yeah, I'm excited to watch them. There's really only a few teams going into the season that kind of returning, like, it was not super interesting storylines, but I feel like everybody is mostly competitive. Like, the Vikings didn't do anything super dramatic. I feel like the Titans are kind of similar to what they were last year, but every team has a little bit of interesting going into the season, at least.

So we talked a little bit about this yesterday, two fans that attended the NBA playoffs on Wednesday, night crossed the line with players. One in Philly dumped popcorn on Russell Westbrook's head as he was leaving the court with an injury, another one in New York spit on Trey Young as he was inbounding the ball. Both fans were banned from the arenas indefinitely.

The Jazz also announced that they banned three fans indefinitely after they made several inappropriate and racist remarks to Jom Morant's family during game two. Get them out. See ya, bye. Thanks for Flying United. Never back in. Kevin Durant shared his feelings on the fans' behavior.

He tweeted, it's all fun and who's in so he has to be in for life. That's funny. Yes. KD is active on the social media. It's right. Like there needs to be very serious consequences to behaving this way. For airlines, games, anything public space, if you're not a grown-up, out for life.

Yeah. And I really don't like when people blame alcohol. Like, if you misbehave while you're drinking, you go to jail. You're still a moron. You're still a moron, but they take you to jail. It's called public drunkenness. Like, you can go to jail for that. Yeah.

You get arrested for that. So it's not like the police run up on you like, oh, wait, you're drunk? So it's even an excuse. So it's even more embarrassing to me. So what you're telling me as a man is I can't handle a third beer. Right. Like if I have so much alcohol, I'm going to spit on another person while they're doing their job. So when guys, well, I had a couple beers.

You're different when you have beers. No, I can have two or three beers and don't spit on people. It's amazing how I've done my whole life. I'm going to make a poor choice in my karaoke selection. Like that's what's going to lead to. It just, there's no excuse for this. We know fans have been doing this forever. I don't want to hear any excuses about alcohol or we've been.

Actually, the fact that we just came out of a pandemic should make it even worse. All over the world, fans couldn't go to games. All over the world, for a year, we finally get back to where you can go into an arena and watch your team and you choose to act like a complete clown. People can't even act their age on an airline. I'm flying today. There'll be some schmuck on it. Probably does something stupid. It's like you've been on planes.

Yeah. when you're on an airline, the feds can literally take you off air travel forever. That's happening like regularly now. Every day people are being thrown off planes forever. Like, I mean, just take your meds, get on the plane. I don't understand it. I can't relate to that behavior. All I'm saying is just be an adult.

Just treat people with respect. I saw a video yesterday, this woman punching a flight attendant. Oh, God. Where do you get? Who told you? that's available to you. I don't know. All right.

All right. Let's start with NFL headlines. Tomorrow's headlines today. Headline for the Julio Jones rumors. Yeah, Colin, a lot of teams in the mix. I think I've identified one. The headline will be splash of the Titans. I identified this Tennessee Titans team as a chance earlier this week. And Colin, there is a connection. You and I both know that connection with Julio to the state of Tennessee. And I really believe this is a team that's close to a Super Bowl. Two years ago, AFC title game, right? They lose to Pat Mahomes.

Last year, they sputtered in the playoffs. They lost to Baltimore and had 209 yards of total offense. Why? Well, you bottle up Derek Henry. Tannahill's not left with much. So enter Julio Jones. And just a quick number. Julio is a little unhappy, supposedly,

with Matt Ryan's deep ball passing. He may have lost a little bit with the arm. Well, Ryan Tannahill, 100.9 passer rating on deep throws. The problem is he didn't have enough of them. he needs Julio Jones. I think it's a perfect match, Julio and the Titans. Tomorrow's headlines today,

headline for Aaron Rogers. Your best buddy, right? You and Rogers? Are you guys, is the bromance still happening? Not really. No. We'll be. Rogers feud goes a mile high.

Colin, I'm sticking with the Denver Broncos here. It's weird. Jordan Love was at OTAs this week under center. Aaron Rogers is at a luau in Hawaii with the guy playing Maverick in the new Top Gun movie. Like, that's the level of commitment that he has to the Packers right now. And, you know, seriously, this is going to come down to the president and the GM basically

saying, Aaron, we'll give you whatever we want. And if they don't, and remember, this guy, Mark Murphy, he kind of butchered the Brett Farrv ending. Remember, it was back and forth. Farve was in. He was out. It was very clunky. If that, this happens again, I really believe Rogers will get shipped to Denver.

You can package Bradley Chubb, some draft picks. and Denver instantly becomes a Super Bowl contender. I know a lot of people think Roger stays, but Colin, what does it say that he's in Hawaii posting all over social media while the Green Bay Packers are practicing at OTAs? Plus the receivers for Green Bay didn't show up, so that feels somewhat orchestrated. Tomorrow's headlines today,

headline for Tim Tebow and the Jags. You know, we agree on a lot of stuff, Colin, but we're divergent here on Tim Tebow. You know I'm a big fan. The headline will be. the urban legend of tight end Tibo. Colin, I just don't get how college basketball players, and there's been a bunch of them in the last 10, 15 years,

walk off the hardwood in college basketball, and they jump into the NFL. Why can't Tivo be a third-string tight end? He was catching passes this week at the Jacksonville practice. And Colin, I know Urban Myers saying all the right things. Hey, he's got to make the team. We hope he makes the roster. But we're talking about a third-string tight end, Colin.

he is the oldest guy on the roster. This is a team where Marvin Jones at 31 was the oldest before Tebow just got that contract. I think you need some veteran leadership in a locker room, a bunch of young kids, first-time NFL coach. Colin, does it really hurt to add Tim Tebow to the roster? Well, it certainly doesn't hurt me. We'll see how it plays in the locker room. But I will say this, if you look at the video right now, sorry for our radio audience, but Tebow looks jacked.

He looks like a tight end. He is, they talked about using him in the wildcat that he does not, he does not look like a quarterback. There's no wildcat. Not with Trevor Lawrence. All right. Now, let's move to a couple of NBA potential outcomes. Tomorrow's headlines today. Well, this is a juicy one, Clippers and Mabs.

You remember when I was on last with you and we talked about the Clippers going down and everybody, oh, McIntyre's crazy. The headline will be. Mavs came in like. a wrecking balmer. Steve Balmer and the clippers are going down. Colin, this is the biggest game in franchise history today. I'm not even kidding. Bigger than last year's game seven against Denver, because if they lose this game, you're talking about break out the brooms and basically break up the clippers. Paul George, Kauai Leonard, it's not working. I mean, I don't know how closely you watch game too because the Lakers were on at the same time, but nobody could guard

Luca Donchich. He's averaging 35, 9, and 8. He's a 22-year-old wonder. Kinn. And Luca Donchish, she's suiting 50%. The Mabbs is a team 50% from three. And the Clippers just look defeated, Colin, whether it's Patrick Beverly, who there's chatter right now that he may not start the game tonight, that Tailu's going to shake things up and start Rondo or Reggie Jackson. You know, the Clippers are a mess right now. And you have to admit, Montrez-Herald, who hasn't even played the last two games for the Lakers, was on the bench and got a technical foul last night. He's having so much fun riding that LeBron train. And he's out of the Clippers. and Colin, this is one of the most shocking first round results I can remember in at least a decade.

And by the way, Doc Rivers may end up winning the East, adding insult to injury for the Clippers. That's a great point. Yeah. Tomorrow's headlines today, what's it going to mean for the Knicks Hawks so far? A wildly dynamic television product. It's been all sorts of fun. Awesome. I love this series. As a Knicks fan, it pains me to do this. The headline will be, Knicks can't ice Trey. Tray Young, unbelievable.

Colin, he is the story in life. You know, sometimes you've got to take a step back to take a step forward. Remember, last year, Trey Young was 29 points a game. One of the best scores in the league,

but they lost a million gains. Trey's step back, fewer shots, fewer turnovers. He's really controlled his game more. He's been dynamic in this series. I love the trash talking with the fans. And Colin, you know, we do a lot of gambling stuff together.

This is my second favorite bet of the postseason. Hawks tonight, I got him at four, I like it at five. I think the Hawks put it on him tonight in the highlight factory down there in Atlanta. The Knicks, man, I don't see the offense, Colin. Julius Randall is basically getting shut down and they're like, hey, this guy off the bench, Alex Burks, can you make a bunch of shots? Reggie Bullock, can you deliver? Like, you can't rely on that on the road. And I think the Knicks are in trouble tonight, but I do love this series. I think it goes seven. It's good stuff. It's been a fun weekend. Last weekend, I sat and watched so much television and this week the same.

I will say Lakers, Clippers, I will say they don't play until Sunday. You cross your fingers. But Chris Paul, two or three days off, may get a little healthy. But that kind of feels over too, right? Yeah, it does. You know, Devin Booker, really, the Lakers got in his head last night. You know, he got rattled. He ended up trying to body slam.

Dennis Schroeder got thrown out of the game. Jake Crowder really getting the treatment from LeBron. And it feels like, you know, the son's won game one. and they think, all right, we got this. Lakers come back, and then bully ball last night, drumming the AD inside, and it feels like the Lakers win the next couple games and just dust this off. And that's when it gets scary, Colin. If you're giving LeBron a week before the second round, because Portland, Denver, probably going to go six or seven, right? Yeah.

That's a close series. LeBron gets a week's rest, and now you're thinking, all right, you know, Clippers get extinguished. Are the Mavericks going to make the conference finals? The Utah Jazz, like, it's all lining up for LeBron to win another ring. And the haters, oh, Colin, those LeBron haters, it's a tough postseason for him. Good stuff. Jason McIntyre. It's kind of becoming his legacy. Yeah, it's unfortunate. They could really use him. I mean, I don't know.
