This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's
superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

What is going on, everybody?
John Middell Cough, three and out podcast, mailbag edition, because we do a little weekend mailbag.
It's very easy to get in.
You just go to my Instagram account, which is my name,
which I've always spelled correctly,
but when I was employed at Fresno State,
when I was employed with the Philadelphia Eagles,
radio, I didn't have my own office,
but no one could ever spell my last name right.
Two Fs, two Fs, John Middlecoff, at John Middlecoff,
is the Instagram, slide right in.
Kept my chip on my shoulder.
You know, it's just my name,
but no one could get it right, except myself.
in fairness, it's not exactly like my last name, Smith.
But add John Middlekopf, two Fs, slide up into those DMs,
and get your question answered here on this little thing we call a podcast.
Let's start with Jake.
What are your thoughts on the reports that Trey is underwhelming the Niners coaching staff?
To me, I don't understand why anyone would leak that,
seeing how if Trey Buss, the entire management and coaching staff would probably be gone.
Like, yeah, he's going to take a little bit of,
bit of time to develop, but you bet on what he could be, not what he was coming out of North Dakota
State. Yeah, the Niners aren't a leaky organization. Now, they've moved on from a lot of coaches this
year. So I do think loose lips, sink ships is the old statement. I guess it's still a statement,
but it doesn't feel like the kids, you know, the streamers are using that term. It feels like
something my parents said that then their children said, which is me, but I don't know if my
children will say that. I just think that probably some people, you know,
want to make Kyle look bad. I don't know. He's a major project. And there's nothing wrong with that.
But I also don't, like, I don't, when I first started doing podcasts, didn't make any money.
A couple years later, booming. Things take time. I'm not a huge live in the past guy. I'm a big
move forward guy. And I went to enough practices last year to see the physical attributes. The character
stuff coming out of college was elite, intelligence, work ethic. So if he has all that, now it's
time to put it to, you know, put it to the field. This OTAs is his time to rock and roll. This is his
team now. Not set in stone because Jimmy Garapolo is still on the roster, but Jimmy can't
throw. And Jimmy won't even be around. So he has the entire spring to make Kyle feel very good
about him. That's all that matters. How he looked in November is irrelevant now in May in
2022. It's about this upcoming season. Now, if he's struggled,
in training camp, then we got a problem.
But to me, I'll be out at some of these practices over the next month.
I'll make my own determinations.
Now, I've said it before and I'll say it again.
I thought he looked awesome last training camp.
Why?
He's big.
He's athletic.
He's got a huge arm.
He's going to be the type guy that looks good in practice.
Honestly, I bet people say he looks good in this practice, people like me.
The problem will be is, I don't know Kyle Shanahan personally.
I know a lot of people with the Niners.
Kyle has been the
My White Whale
We haven't been able to do
Quite hit it off
Literally I don't think
We've talked one time
At training camp
But with COVID and stuff
I've never really been around him
Beside or not at training camp
I talked to him one time at the Combine
When he said to come on the podcast
And then the whole lockdown
Happened like a week later
And you know
There went those plans
So I have no clue what he truly thinks
Beside I follow his team extremely closely
I follow him really closely
Because I watch all his press conferences
and I have a pretty good vibe on him, I feel, without knowing the guy and having the ability to ask him questions personally, like on a text message.
But regardless what he thought, like, Trey has a great opportunity right now to take the position by the balls and make this his team in the next 45 days on the field, doing what Kyle wants, understanding reads, audibles, checks, and in full control.
To me, that's all that matters.
what happened last year, who cares?
Last year, the stock market was up.
Right now, it's way down.
Things change.
The football, business, you name it.
Relationships, sometimes a happy couple last year, divorce this year.
Sometimes the opposite.
Single last year, you're in a serious relationship this year.
Players, same thing.
The guy used to be good, now he stinks.
Guy used to not be that good is now a starter.
So, you know me, I won't, if he struggles,
I'll call a spade to spade,
but I don't,
really care what happened at practice last year.
It was the backup.
But I do now, if he's going to be the starter.
Hey, John, fairly new listener to the pod,
but I'm loving the content and you crushing the game.
Appreciate it, Tommy.
I recently saw a way too early mock draft in 23
that had Texas, that had the Texans taking Bryce Young from Alabama,
and the Lions taking C.J. Stroud from Ohio State.
As a Lions fan, I don't love the pick.
But it did get me thinking, historically.
These schools haven't produced very many good NFRAs.
quarterbacks. My question is, which school are you less likely to take a quarterback from and why?
The school is irrelevant to me. Completely irrelevant. Like North Dakota States had two guys
drafted in the top three of the last seven years, right? And forever, you know, most schools
have never had two guys drafted that high. To me, it's the player. Whether guys struggled
coming out Ohio State or Bama, well, if Bryce Young is the best quarterback to ever come out of Alabama,
then I don't care what Mac Jones was or Tua was, right?
Or what, you know, RIP, Dwayne Haskins, you know, what his career was or any of these former guys, right?
Well, Justin Fields, I think Justin Fields is going to be a good player if his team doesn't screw him.
But I just, if the player's good, like, who cares?
It doesn't matter, right?
I mean, Matt Liner had nothing to do with Sam Darnold just will have nothing to do with Caleb Williams.
Now, whether they succeed or fail, that's on them or their team,
not on ultimately the program.
So I put, I come from the school and what I learned in the NFL.
Now, it helps win good players at certain positions because of a position coach.
But every player is their own entity.
Every player is their own story.
Every player is their own talent, right?
And work ethic and ability.
So I don't put any stock in.
the previous stuff, to be
honest of you. Very, very little.
At quarterback.
The alpineus is nuts. You got to watch
it. Huge fan. Started
listening to you this past year. Wish you had a pod every
day. Put out a lot of pods right now.
We go Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Friday, weekend.
We do a lot of content
here on the content on the volume.
I would love your opinion on
Kyle Shanahan versus Sean McVeigh rivalry.
Not as much of a rivalry,
but which coach is better. I think it's
complicated because McVeigh obviously has had the better record in accolades, but
Shanahan obviously owns McVeigh. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the podcast. I think Kyle is a more
dynamic offensive coordinator. Maybe Sean McVeigh is better at quote-unquote rallying the troops,
I guess. I mean, I've been to several Rams, Niners games. I've never seen the Niners lose.
Now, I didn't go to the NFC championship game, which of all the games, I mean, I've been to,
games they played was by far the most important.
Not even close, right?
I mean, they played in the NFC championship game and the Rams won.
So there is no disputing.
Like, Kyle's been to a Super Bowl, Sean's been to two.
And now Sean's won one.
But like Kyle's proven, like he's got four playoff wins.
This year he had two on the road.
I mean, the Packer game, he was a seven point underdog.
Cowboys, he was an underdog, even though he probably shouldn't have been.
So I think they're very similar, even though I think they're clearly kind of different
people.
I wouldn't,
I don't know either personally,
so it's hard for me to get like too in depth of like what the guy,
like I can tell you a lot about Todd Bulls,
been a lot of time around him.
Matt Nagy,
Andy Reid, right?
So guys,
when you spend a lot of time around a coach,
when you watch them from my vantage point
and you don't know the guy or Sean McDermott,
you know,
I could give you a legitimate opinion on these guys.
It's hard for me to do because I haven't spent that much time around them.
Beside like watching a team practice
or for Sean McVeigh,
watching him, you know,
podcasts with Schrager and his team play.
I think they're both fucking awesome.
I think if you ask the older coaches,
they think they're both studs.
They're the two young stars in the league.
Now, I think, you know,
I'll say this about Sean McVeigh.
He won a lot of games with Jared Gough.
So, now this year,
he won Super Bowl with Matt Stafford.
Think about this.
Matt Stafford became available.
The two teams that were the most aggressive
to get him, Kyle Shannhan and Sean McVey.
while their personalities are different,
I think they're pretty similar.
Now, the one thing I would say that differs
between Kyle and Sean,
philosophically,
Kyle loves running the ball.
If Kyle could,
I think every game,
he would slam it down your throat 40 times.
I think Sean likes throwing it more.
Not the cow doesn't like throwing it,
but I think Sean would be closer to like Andy Reed that way.
Like deep down,
that's kind of how he wants to play,
which obviously works.
You know, you just need to get the right quarterback.
I think Kyle, deep down, despite being a 41-year-old guy,
wants to play like it's 1978 and shove it down your throat.
Now, I mean, sometimes, you know, it depends how good.
If Trey Lance gets good, you got to throw the ball.
But there's an element of that, which I like.
You know, I mean, Harbaugh had it.
It creates a tough team.
It's why the Niners have been tougher than the ramps.
I think they've been just more physical on offense and defense.
because that's kind of been their identity.
Doesn't mean they've been better,
but I think it's a really, really tough question.
I think you're talking about, you know, two of the best
that are definitely probably the two best coaches under 50.
Because I'm sure I came around on LaFloor,
but he lost to Kyle Shanahan at home.
At home at Lambeau Field.
That's the number one seat to Jimmy Garoppel.
He lost that game with Aaron Rogers as a quarterback.
So I like LaFleur.
I think he's a solid.
coach, but I no longer consider him in that category.
You lost at home with Aaron Rogers, back-to-back MVPs, to Jimmy Garopla.
The 49ers did not score an offensive, and you're the offensive coordinator.
They did not score an offensive and you lost?
Come on, man.
That loss was bad.
That loss was worse than the Cowboys.
Because it turns out the Cowboys, a little bit of frauds.
And I know, I, listen, I'm guilty.
I kind of anointed them last year during the season.
I was wrong.
I thought the Packers were the best team until they played the night.
And didn't score an offensive touchdown.
Can't happen.
Or I guess they did score one offensive touchdown.
The Niders didn't score an offensive touchdown.
You can't.
You lose the game 13 to 10.
Was the final score?
14 to 10?
I mean, 10 points?
Come on.
Can't happen.
Big fan of the show.
Bay Area Kid.
Appreciate the E40 and two short references.
When I was in college at Cal Poly,
Too Short actually played a concert for my fraternity.
Because a dude in the fraternity,
you know, I think it was from the Bay Area.
New some people.
Too short came down.
It was pretty sweet.
I remember meeting them in the back.
Very briefly.
I was honored to be in his presence.
Question.
Related to Debo situation.
Everyone is quick to relate Debo to Kylo to Kyler Murray
in the sense that the supposed motivation
comes down to contract and money.
Is it possible that it's more a reflection
of Debo's opinion on Trey Lance?
If I'm in Debo's shoes,
I would not love the idea long term
of a commitment to a team with a quarterback
I don't believe can take me
all the way in the prime of my career.
Do you think we might be reading too much
into the money side of the situation?
Well, Debo, I hate these stories,
but God, they're just part of, I guess, our world now.
Refalled the 49ers on Instagram.
It's pretty clear he's got it going anywhere.
I don't know.
I mean, honestly, here's my take on Debo.
Debo, tell us what your deal is.
I'm tired of guessing.
We can say it's Trey Lance.
We can say it's the taxes.
We can say it's Santa Clara suck.
we can say, I don't even know.
We can say whatever.
We're all kind of guessing.
Have Debo answer the question.
Can Debo, and who knows the next time he's going to show up,
Niners, whenever they sign him, he'll have to talk.
But can we just get his opinion on this?
Because right now, we're all taking guesses.
A.J. Brown, pretty clear.
Wanted more money, Titans wouldn't give him money.
Very black and white.
Kyler, very black and white.
Wants money, they're not willing to pay him.
Debo, you know, who knows?
He not want to play running back?
Does he not want to live around people in Santa Clara?
Does he not like paying 13%.
I don't know.
We all can take a lot of guesses, but until it comes from his mouth,
it's what we're all doing.
We're all just guessing.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,

Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people. I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do a little kill?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years
for black people in American history.

Welcome to my new podcast, Learn the Hard Way with me,

in this month. I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the middle health field and conversations
with so many incredible guests. I'm talking Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark. Sometimes when we're in
the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in
possession of the thing. And we're still chasing it. And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes about wins and losses. Steve Burns, Dustin Ross,
because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth,
or are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

I met up with my college buddies over the weekend in Nashville for a weekend of golf.
had a blast. There was a lot of beer consumed. I'm 38. After this weekend, it's obvious. I'm not in my 20s.
Woke up Monday morning and could barely move. It gave me a whole new appreciation for Tiger after all
their injuries he had over the years being in his late 40s and still playing golf at a high level.
That dude has to be spent after 18, let alone 72 holes. Not really a question. More of an
observation. He doesn't drink while he plays. Probably helps. But I hear you. It looks like
next year, our annual golf location will be Arizona.
I know you're familiar there.
Do you have any course recommendations?
Also, if you can meet us for some golf,
we will cover your golf and your alcohol.
Well, shit, Robbie, now we might be talking.
I would say TPC Scottsdale, just to play it,
so then when you watch it every year, the waste management,
you have experienced the course.
I would say the course a tad overrated,
but it's still pretty cool.
So to me, that would be a lock.
I would say Wicapau is the sleeper, and it's not even really a sleeper, but it's an unreal course.
It's got 36 holes.
I would say True North, I would think about playing True North.
I would say TPC, Scottsdale is a must, though, just to say you play it.
And Greyhawk, they have the National Championship there, also have 36 holes.
Pretty sweet.
So I would recommend Greyhawk, TPC, Wicapau, and Trune would be from my experience.
Those are the courses that I've played.
I have not played them all, so I'm probably missing some, and I definitely am missing.
I'm missing a lot.
I mean, it's the golf capital of the world.
Arizona for golf is like the SEC for football players.
You want to play golf?
Go there, play.
That's why I want to move there.
And after economic chaos, again, not rooting for a recession, but don't really want to pay
a $2 million house that was a million dollars six months ago.
A little weird to me.
You know, that's my reservation.
Not, you know, I don't have an unlimited amount of funds.
and I don't want to make a purchase that then is not, you know, again, things are getting weird.
Lost a lot of money like all of us did in the stock market.
But, and hopefully don't lose a lot more because it feels like it's not going to get better any times worse.
But again, I root for positivity, not a recession guy.
But when you want to purchase real estate, you kind of do root for recession is weird, you know?
Who knows?
What if that ruined the podcast industry?
So it's like I'm not, I root for positivity.
I root for economic success.
Huge fan.
may collecting the city's trash 12 hours a day
way more enjoyable.
Question for the pod.
You drive or do you ride on the side?
You ride on the side?
Can you hear if you get your iPads in?
What are your thoughts of Seattle on the Seattle draft?
I thought they put the rebuild on track
with going tackle and pass rusher
and avoiding the quarterbacks
that are definitely more projects than prospects.
Agreed.
In their situation, I would not have drafted a quarterback.
I'm in agreement there.
Now, Charles Cross, he's clearly a pretty good prospect, taking him at 9, get a legit tackle.
Dwayne Brown's old, won't be on the team forever.
They took the running back, who's a really, really good player, Kenneth Walker, like that pick as well.
Yeah, I mean, it's just, we'll see.
I've liked some of their picks over the years, and the guys haven't turned out to be good.
I liked Rashad Penny a lot in college.
And then when he first got to the NFL, he was terrible.
So here's the other issue.
When your quarterback plays terrible, and let's face it, Gino Smith and Drew Locke, their quarterback
play is not going to be good. The team usually looks bad. So, like, some of these guys could be okay,
but like Kenneth Walker, what are you going to do when you play Seattle? You're going to put nine guys in the box and two guys on D.K.
Metcalfe and say, beat me, Drew or Gino, and he won't be able to. So more than likely, they're going to look terrible.
Watch three football games last year, but I listened to every show. Love your.
takes on football in life. My question, why doesn't Burrow get any love? Whenever you and Uncle
Colin talk about the best young quarterbacks, it's always Mahomes, Alan Herbert. I apologize.
I leave Burroughs out. I shouldn't. I'm going to start including him. Burrow, Mahomes, Alan,
Herbert, Lamar. I'll just throw those guys in. Mahomes may be number one right now. Alan is a
physical freak, but is only one playoff game. Herbert is also a physical freak, but he definitely
shouldn't be mentioned before Borough. Chargers coach may be a clown, but Herbert didn't even
make the playoffs this year, but it wasn't his fault. He had a historically awesome year. Their defense
was terrible. They didn't make the playoffs because the defense in Brandon Staley. And Brandon Staley is a
defensive coordinator. Even Brandon Staley, if he was sitting here, which would be a little weird
because I've talked a lot of shit about him. But I would be, I'd have a legit conversation. And
hell, maybe it'd be cool. He was the one time I watched him with Pat McAfee, he was very normal.
you would say Justin Herbert,
and I think every coach in the NFL
and every player in the NFL would agree,
was awesome last year.
Even in the game that they lost to the Raiders,
come on, man.
That's on Brandon Staley in the defense,
not Justin Herbert.
So I'm not trying to,
I'm not a huge, like, defend the guy
just because that's my take.
Like, everyone agrees.
Justin Herbert's awesome.
But I'm with you, Joe Burrow, awesome.
I need to do a better job,
including Joe Burrow in that group
because he's in that group.
So Joe, if you listen,
one, love to get.
get you on the pod.
Two, big fan, love your game.
You're in that group.
Because he is.
I mean, in all seriousness.
He legitimately is.
Not really a question, but more of an observation.
The new pit quarterback,
the new pit quarterback is former USC
Keaton's Lois, who was bench for Jackson Dart
and then run out of town by Riley and Caleb Williams.
No wonder Addison is trying to get out of pit.
You think Addison saw this and then the number
USC was throwing at him and was
like I got to get out of there.
You know what's funny is I was thinking about this the other day?
Because I keep saying Jordan Addison, who their quarterback is.
I assume it's some random guy kind of up the pipe.
It turns out it's actually Keaton Slovis, who actually is not terrible.
You know, it's like, who's old miss is quarterback going to be?
Well, they got Jackson Dart.
You know, the quarterback movement around, it's him.
How do you keep up with this?
You know, like all these guys go all over the place.
Most players are not C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young.
I mean, Jackson Dart, I love
Love would be strong.
I'm intrigued by Jackson Dart.
Well, he's now at USC, or excuse me,
Ole Miss, who has USC's old coach.
But Keen Slovis actually is not bad.
Now, would I rather play with Caleb Williams
and Keaton Slovis?
Yes.
Part of it is just, you know,
I just do not blame him at all
for leaving the court.
He had an awesome quarterback.
He doesn't know this guy.
And he knows Caleb Williams.
And Caleb Williams was like,
come out to SC. It is so easy to transfer. I have a theory. I don't think we see many
offensive linemen transfer. Why? Because if you're a big 300-pound guy starting at a school,
you don't want to pack up your shit and move. Too difficult. You want to just block guys,
eat food, and get better and try to make the draft. Quarterbacks, like, a little loosey-goosey
or same with wide receivers. And I just don't think you're seeing many offensive linemen transfer.
When's the last time you're like, this guard for my
Iowa transferred to Clemson.
The guard from Iowa, he's just, he's content.
You know, it's just like, I'm good, they feed me, we practice, I got a
girlfriend on the soccer team, life's good.
Quarterbacks, wide receivers, DBs, they're always looking for the next
best thing, you know?
But these quarterbacks, man, the transfer rate on these guys is outrageous.
Guys are moving and shaking go to all these schools.
I don't even blame Jordan Addison for like, I don't even know who's coming in.
I don't know who's going to be my quarterback.
I thought when guy sat out two years ago, I'll be honest, my first reaction was like,
I don't love it.
And then like his time went on, I don't blame Jamar Chase at all.
Jamar Chase went from playing with Joe Burrell, the last commenters.
I got to give Joe Burrell some love.
Winning the national championship, the guy goes number one overall.
And then he's looking at the backups.
He's like, I'm not playing with these losers.
He was smart.
He was a forward thinker.
He wasn't living in the past.
He was seeing the future.
He's like, these scrubs are going to make.
me go 11th in the draft instead of a fifth.
I'm not even playing.
Everyone's like, this is risky.
It's worked out okay for him.
Right decision there.
If you're a wide receiver,
your entire career is predicated
on the play caller and the guy throwing you the ball.
If the play caller or the guy throwing you the ball
is not good and you're nervous, go.
If you're an elite talent like this guy.
Like, you're going to be a first round pick.
I don't blame him for leaving.
One bit.
Lifelong Seahawks fan here.
Listen to your latest pod about the draft grades and you were spot on.
In the 2012 draft, I remember ESPN giving the only F grade the year to the Hawks.
Looking back, I found this.
Looking back in 2011, 2012 drafts, blah, blah, blah.
So they got an F.
ESPN gave him an F in 2012.
You want to hear the players they picked?
First round, Bruce Irvin.
Second round.
Bobby Wagner.
Third round.
It's a quarterback.
I don't know if you heard of him.
Russell Wilson.
Robert Turbin.
Actually, I kind of liked him.
Jeremy Lane, in the 6th.
Not a bad little long corner.
J.R. Sweezy.
Starting offensive.
Oh, yeah, he was a defensive tackle.
They moved to offensive line.
Yeah, it's...
I remember when Doug Peterson was hired from the Eagles,
they gave the Eagles an F for the hire.
So I'm with you.
Grades, real time, you know, we don't know.
Listen, I owned a stock skills that had quarterly earnings that aren't going great.
Now, they're transitioning.
Their big thing is in like a year, two years, we're going to be big.
And that's kind of what I'm betting on.
Might be wrong.
We'll see.
Only time will tell.
But like when a company comes out with the quarterly earnings, you could have like,
that's a downgrade, that's an upgrade.
This stock's going to boom.
This stock's going to go.
based on tangible information.
But when I pick you, there is no tangible information
besides that guy is now on my team.
I like the Chiefs drafting Trent McDuffie.
I think that guy's going to be really good.
But even Andy and Brett Veach would say,
there's no guarantee this guy's going to be some legitimate player
based on our evaluation and the person we think he is,
but we've seen it a million times.
So I'm with you.
I despise draft grades.
Because if I'm giving you a draft grade,
I'm just giving you a grade based on whether I like the guy or not.
So if I thought you, I thought Drake London was a huge overdraft.
I don't think, you know, I would give them like a C minus, right?
But some people loved them and Desmond Ritter and they give, I've seen the Falcons get A minuses.
But that's because those people giving the grades like it.
I started thinking about all my teachers growing up, you know, unless it's like a multiple choice test.
But how can you give me a grade on a paper?
Like if I'm in sixth grade and you give me a B on a paper I write,
on like Saka Jua.
It's just your opinion,
whether you think it's good or not.
It's all subjective.
So now I think back
when I used to get in trouble
when I got low grades,
I wish I could have looked at my dad
and been like,
that's just a subjective opinion
for Ms. Parker.
We don't know if she actually knows
what she's talking about or not.
I think I wrote an A paper.
She believed it was a B-minus.
I'm calling bullshit.
Now, the SAT, you get what you get.
The wonder lick, you get what you get.
But how can you give me
grade on an English paper.
How's that possible?
Spelling test. I either spell the word right or wrong.
The draft.
Like, yeah, eventually, A.J. Brown, Debo, Samuel,
Bobby Wagner, whoever,
Aaron Donald, they become studs.
Right? Tyree Kill, Travis Kelsey,
Josh Allen. Like, we know after a while,
that was a hell of a pick.
At the time, we have no clue.
Absolutely none.
Because if we did, Deshawn Watson,
Patrick Mooms, never in a million years,
would have gone after Mitchell Trebisky.
But at the time, it was like, Mitchell Trabisky,
Bears quarterback, having had a bear's quarterback in a long time.
And then he wasn't the Bears quarterback.
So you just never know.
But the draft is fun.
Honestly, what the draft is so fun
is because there's so much to talk about.
You can have an opinion on it all.
You can try to pump the brakes on it all.
You know the future where we get to,
like Cole Strange is either going to be good or he's not going to be good.
But there's no one thing that's going to be Logan Mankins.
That feels like a stretch.
But great name, Cole Strange.
Okay, adios.
May the peace be with you.
Have a good weekend.
If it's Sunday, happy Mother's Day.
Thank your mother.
Give her a hug.
If your wife is a mother of your children, give her a kiss.
If she's your baby mom and you're not together, send her a text and just say,
good job raising her child unless she's not doing a good job, then don't send her that.
But other than that, talk to you soon.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
