I'm excited for this guest today.
A legend.
Listen, what's past a legend?
Beyond legend.
Beyond the legend.
Listen, man, we have Mr.
Incredible.
Michael Irvin.
You're lucky I got me.
my belt. I'll put my belt out right now.
A belt out, man.
Listen, listen. So,
onk, I understand. Listen,
I got to hop straight into it. Let's talk
about the belt. What?
In your mind, your right mind,
made you put that out. Talk to me. What's going
up, man? You know, hey, listen,
you know, nowadays with
everything, the first thing, this
thing, how this popped off, right?
Because they were talking so much north. I think it was
Florida State. I got
there a day early, and
and when they had something to eat.
I mean, they were cracking, man.
Just everywhere.
We going to do this, Michael, we're going to do this?
I said, you know what?
I'm trying to be sensible, you know.
But we're about to bang y'all.
And we go after that game?
After that game, you know, dude, after that game,
that was a good game that we had won.
Oh, I was going to let them know.
There's been plenty of times I've been down to that stadium, you know.
Hey, I raised that shirt up.
I was like, all that noise, y'all been talking all day yesterday, all day this morning.
And y'all went and got your ass whooped like that.
Dude, it's time for it.
I went and start putting that belt on a cool, on the cool.
I would put that.
Hey, you know, wow, when I was doing it, you're taking the comments, them dudes are right.
You know he got his ass whoop.
He looking, the way he's swinging, somebody's a whoop here that.
That was one of those Florida weapons.
That's the Florida whoopings that you used to be able to get, man.
But I can't imagine, I can't believe how that thing just took wildfire.
That's all.
I get kids today.
Seven, eight, eight-year-old kids, they never watch me play one down.
You told me, that's you belted, you BTA man.
You know, you know.
So yeah, man, that went crazy.
Man, can you talk about, like, how the times has changed so much that, like, going viral for something like that is like, and being known for something like that now outside of your playing career, like, it's a spectacular thing, social media and, and, you know, guys like yourself, like, stepping up and doing things like that, support your team and coming up with different things like that.
Like, you talk about that?
Right.
And, dude, this is applicable for us.
guys like us, you know,
like you, you and
and I know when I say that,
I mean, I know what I'm saying, you know,
I know what kind of do we
ain't going to take no, no. So we need
places where we can be us, really.
And that's what I love about the platform.
I've been doing TV a long time.
And, you know, TV restricts you,
and you only get a chance, really, to talk at people,
to people, but you don't really get a chance
to speak with people.
Real road comes from us talking with one another.
You share your story, I'm sharing mine.
That's why when the Bible says, you know, confess one ye to the other.
Pray one thee for the other.
And this we shall find healing.
So we're supposed to be talking and telling our stories.
And then since we, since us, all three of us, all three of us,
all three of us, it's the town of Negroes.
You know what I'm saying.
And we need to explain our story sometimes because they'll take it and run another way.
So, wait a minute, we ain't mean that.
So we get an opportunity to do that now.
You see what I mean?
Before, it would make you the worst jokers in the world just because you don't step and fetch like they want you to.
But this gives us an opportunity to show who we really are.
And that I appreciate.
And let me tell you about you two moms because I love both of you,
I always measure a man.
I always said I measure a man in distance travel.
Tell me about where you are.
Let me see where you are.
Tell me about where you started.
Let me see where you are.
I measure your quarterly.
I mean, I measured a fight in a man.
And YouTube blogs?
I got a young, y'all.
Hey, boy, that's a fighter, y'all, boy.
That's a real fight.
I mean, too, you know, I watch Leonard.
Man, Leonard, I watch you do some things.
I think any man should be doing that day.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
He can run that dude over like that.
He got to kid.
He's going to get him to do that to you.
Right.
And pulls my will on their fucking ass, man.
You know how it is.
Right. It pulls your will, dog.
And Jake, no, I came to joggers, dog.
I was doing, you know, the NFL network
and I'm doing the broadcasting.
We're out there at, come back.
Come by.
And this Joker
running and, you know, running
and he kind of
tweet this hammond.
And everybody was trying to tell him,
don't go, don't go.
We need him to calm down.
Tell him, don't go.
We don't want to mess them up.
And they said, you might have.
He'll listen to you.
Go tell him to calm down.
I walk with my jolly brother over there.
Yeah.
You know, want to tell Jarvis, relax, man, you got it.
Jarvis looked at me like, oh, I got a shoulder, man.
I want to hear that.
I turned around, went back, told me, I want to drive here.
That's the dude.
I want to hear nothing at you.
I told him then.
I said, I'll draft that dude.
I want the dude.
Dude, they ain't listen to you, dude.
This is my chance to show everybody, and they're going to know before I leave here today.
Before I left there, I knew.
I said, boy, if I'm anybody, I'm driving jogger Landers.
Because that's the kind of fight you on in your locker room.
Hey, you think if I don't went to the Cowboys,
we'll have another championship by now?
What?
Please, please.
That wouldn't be, I'm telling you.
I'd be right there with you.
I'd be right to you know.
But, hey, carry you what you need.
You didn't see that same to me.
You saw the safe to blitz.
Be careful.
I've been talking with you the whole way, man.
But, Josh, you had a great career, man.
You had a great career, man.
So it's so good to see you brothers doing this right here right now.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Yeah, man.
Also, Uncle, I want you to know that.
That story you just brought up, some of it was kind of filled from Jarvis.
I want you to understand that, right?
Wait, wait, wait.
So I'm going to let him explain to you.
I'm not going to get in your business.
But Jarvis, would you like that?
So, Unk, so, I ran a, I don't know if you remember it totally,
but I ran the 40 that day.
and I ran a 477.
And my agent called me on the phone
and he was like, hey, listen,
you can't run another 40.
Like, you can't.
Don't go back out there and run another 40.
So I'm like, so what do I do?
And he told me to fake a hamstring.
Ah, ha, you are?
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Hey, oh.
I was wondering, too.
Hey, I mean, then you came up.
You came up to me and you told me and you told me and you say,
are you still going to go?
And I was like, man, I'm a try.
And you said, you said, man, that's what I love about these LSU receivers.
They're so fierce.
They're tough.
They're everything you want in a football player.
And, Unk, I literally started crying because I felt like I had let you down.
Oh, my God.
Oh.
In my heart of hearts, I had let you down.
In my heart of hearts, I had let you down.
Oh, my God.
I'm crying, but I'm crying.
Go ahead, because I understand what you're saying.
Because that was, that's what it was when I was coming in the lead.
Everybody's talking about this 40 times.
I was sick of that, dude.
I used to wear a clock around my neck, four or five.
I got to get out of this ghetto.
I got to run this four or five.
I was Flavor Flay, way before Flavor Flake.
I want that shit all the time.
You know what I'm saying?
And it was the one thing.
All I worried about was that 40.
It don't determine how you play football.
But, you know, but they put it in your mind.
That's what they put in your head.
Yeah.
And I'm not a great tester.
I don't test well.
I don't test well.
But when you turn on the tape and when you get to the part of the combine that I was excited about the most,
if I'm honest, what's to run routes?
What's to show people my game speed, my transition in and out of breaks, my hands,
Right. And I didn't have that opportunity.
And I trusted my agent and, you know, God, God's will is greater than my will, right?
Because it still worked out. It still worked out. But I had some, I was fearful.
And at the same time, I felt like I had let my idol, one of my idols down, right?
Like, you came up to me.
But I get it.
But I felt bad. I felt bad, man.
I get it. Because I had PTSD about that damn 40. I had PTSD about it.
I'm like, I didn't cut all these touchdown.
I'm whipping everybody.
You're going to bring this up?
And anyway, jail, anyway, let's think about this.
I tell people, I went through gold jackets to get all my gold rings.
And every gold jacket I played were world-class sprinters.
Dionne Sanders, Dereen, D.on Sanders, Dereon, Andrew Green, Rod Woodson.
I can't do.
I will never.
If I died 10 times and came back to life, I still ain't going to be able to run those guys.
And football ain't about that.
Football is not about that.
You know what I mean?
It's about food, about understanding, you know what I mean?
It's a whole lot of other things, and that 40 ain't all it's about.
So I understood it.
I had PTSD about that, too.

Like the time Paul McCartney spent in one of the world's most notorious prisons.
Imagine that.
You're Paul McCartney.
It's 1980.
You're an ex-Beatle.
And you're doing time in one of Japan's worst prisons right there alongside Yakuza
gangsters and for a ridiculous charge.
Or the bizarre crime Lady Gaga is accused of.
Who is the artist Lady Gaga as being accused of doing?
the unthinkable to after allegedly stealing her music in style to become famous.
And what about that time, Blondie's Debbie Harry escaped a serial killer?
The man who had given her that ride she barely escaped from was Ted Bundy.
Listen to Discrace Land on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Yeah.
So listen, I ain't going to lie.
So he'll lie you, he lied to you.
He lied to you.
I'm gonna be real.
He'll lie your own.
I didn't know it.
We gotta put it how it is, right?
But I want him to understand, right?
Like, we champions, you know?
Like, we got, man, you got reigned.
You know what I'm saying?
And I know, I know my brother could.
So I said, you got three of the things.
I got one.
So it's like, it's like we, I know.
I understand your talk.
But he might not understand your.
dialect. You know, he might not understand what you
coming from, right? So I'm going to
ask you this, right? Champion and champion?
In your eyes,
who was the better player? Joevis Landre
and Leonard Phine?
Right. Hey, boy, that's
two different spots or two different things.
In two different
places to call great.
Honestly, Leonard, you were the most powerful
runner I've seen
man, especially coming out of high school
I've ever seen.
I'm serious. Do what I saw you?
do running over
grown men
were insane.
It was incredible. But now, if I tell you
I mention men by distance trout,
by distant trout, and you get a guy
to go to run a 4-7 and everybody
say you can't do this. And then
your first three years,
you're breaking every record, catch
record in the NFL. That's a
hell of them all. That's a hell of a
stuff. You know what I'm saying?
Then you came in.
Right. We expect you and you weren't
knocking nuthers out.
Knocking them out, right?
But nobody, John Jarvis can't run by nobody.
Jarvis, and then he ran there for seven,
but Jarvis found his face and found this place,
and he was such a dude, they had to play him.
So, so, you know what I mean?
I can see what both of those are hell of a moment.
But, like you said, it will still come back to them.
thing.
It was a
one of the
day.
Oh,
what was your
favorite championship?
What was your favorite championship?
Man,
it has to be the first one
for me, dude.
You know,
everybody talks about it.
You know,
all we're doing.
The second one is great.
The third one is great.
They're great.
But there's nothing like that first one.
And the first one was in L.A.
And we were out of hand.
We crashed on the face party,
right in L.A.,
right there at Roxbury,
sunset.
And they were telling me, be quiet in the back.
This is a part of us.
We are all caught.
We were so out of head, though.
We were like, we are the party, man.
So, yeah, we tore that one up, though.
It was L.A.
It was all of everything, man.
That was definitely the best one.
No doubt.
I can take it the truth, man.
When the Cowboys documentary came out,
like, I've always loved you, right?
But, you know, Paul was, brother.
but I fell in love with you more, right?
When you was explaining, catching that ball up the middle,
Ronnie Lott, I'm like, listen, listen,
I told, I told, listen, I told my wife,
my wife was laying next to me.
I said, that's the type of fucking teammate
I would have ran through a wall for.
100%.
Like, you do, like you, you landing on the line knowing that,
you know, you might get fucked up.
Right, right, right.
When Jokers try to tell you, you ain't scared,
Nick, I'm scared.
Stop playing.
Stop playing.
Hey, courage ain't sitting here saying that ain't scared.
Courage is, I got to come to these fears and go catch the damn ball.
Do it anyway.
That nigga right there, bitch, cut his thing off to hit somebody.
Why should not be scared of him?
You know, you crazy.
You know what I'm saying?
He wants to hit you that bad?
You should be scared of that.
You should be scared of that.
That's not.
healthy. But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, that's the thing that pushes us past everything.
Like, yeah, I was scared. I was scared. But little Michael, little Michael comes up.
Soon and soon as big Michael said, boy, you're going to get knocked out. Little Michael said,
you either run that slate or we got to run back to the ghetto. So, so, so look, little,
little Michael say, hey, I look at running and say, let's go, well, because I ain't going back to the ghetto.
That's the whole kick. That's the whole kick. It's what am I, it's not just what I'm running to is what I'm
running from and I'm running from that ghetto I don't know more of it.
That's crazy, bro.
I'm talking about Jarvis, bro.
I like, that shit was, that was powerful to me, man, that you said that, right?
And I know, you know, we are young black men, right?
Can you, and I made mistakes in my career, right?
Jarvis made mistakes in your career.
What is your message out there to these young guys who fucking off on their career?
Like who not understanding, right?
They're part of the 1% that can change generation lives and they're not, they're not
learning from their mistakes.
They're constantly doing the same thing over and over and over.
Like, who will be your words to them on?
Well, you know, one thing Bishop and I always talk about and the reality is this exceptional
people usually have exceptional issues.
You can't be exceptional on one side and then not see it on the other side.
My biggest issue with me personally is I'm 100% of it.
That's what we are.
We fight hard.
We go hard.
I'm 100% now I have to make sure that I'm putting that 100% in a good direction.
Because even if it's going to bad direction, I'm still going 100%.
That's the issue.
You see what I'm saying.
So I tell them all, great men must understand this.
And great men must mitigate the kid in him so it doesn't screw up the king in him.
And both of them are in us.
You see what I'm saying.
And also, you take a guy like a pukuk.
And everybody, oh, puker, this, pook was going through all this.
Pooker's a 23, 24-year-old kid out drinking and doing things.
to have it fun. Every 23 and 24 year old kid is doing it. But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, you're,
like, like, you're the worst dude in the world when they know every 22, 23, so you got to admit, you got to monitor that, too.
You can't just fall over it and let these people start marking you and make you that. You know, you know, you know what I'm
saying? You guys say, man, yeah, I, okay, I'll get back and do what I got to do.
I know what I have to do.
But yeah, I think that's an issue we have in this country.
We're always trying to put all of these moral strappings on 21, 22, 23-year-old kids
that are fulted their way out of a hellhole in the beginning,
when we really should be undergirding them and helping them.
And giving them a little leeway on some of the decisions they may make
because they've come from such places.
You know what I mean?
I think that's what we should do.
And yeah, yeah, we got to mitigate the kid in us so it doesn't mess up the king in us.
Yeah, that's great.
And I think you said it, when you say there too, like, it takes me back to like, obviously you transition into the media space, right?
And it takes me to where you hear, you know, reporters and sports reporters, the guys that never played the game, right, talk about how guys should be handling situations or talk about how, you know, uninformed things, right?
are not putting themselves in that kid's shoes, right?
Like a puka, right?
Like, you know, we, you know, we see this happen all the time.
And, like, I feel like when you stepped over to the other side,
was it hard for you to kind of, like, hold your tongue about some of these things?
Because these people don't really know what we have to actually go with, go through.
We have to deal with, you know, all of the things, your mama calling, your uncle calling,
your cousin calling, you know, and you're trying to find some time to enjoy what God has blessed
you as well, you know what I mean?
And doing that process, you do make some mistakes, yes, right?
But I think sometimes, especially in the sports news, man, they overly, you know, broadcast the
failures or the downsides of players, you know, whether it's just something to talk about on TV
or it's just, you know, that's just who they are, right?
You know what I mean?
Like, when you stepped over to that side, was it hard for you?
Is it hard for you now, now seeing guys that you respect maybe, let's just say?
you know, talk about guys like that.
You know, and that's such a great question, Jarvis,
because when I came, when I started doing this,
I was going to make sure that I give the other side,
that nobody would ever give.
You know, okay, if we're talking about a pookers,
everybody wants to jump and kill her.
Like, you know, we shouldn't be doing this,
you shouldn't be doing this, you know,
and we all have been there, right?
Well, we're sitting at home,
and somebody's on the given commentary
about something that we've done,
and said, oh, I can't believe.
they did this. I just can't believe
where all of that town, all
of this money, I can't believe it.
Like, shut up. Stop.
Negro plee. I can't believe
he got caught in the hotel room with
girl. You was trying to get
in that hotel room with girl. You just
cut. Stop saying stuff like
that. You know what I'm saying?
Don't stop making me
the monster because you could.
So you have to be
you have to be very careful
with it. You have to be careful.
Because honestly, now even more so than any, people can get to you or get their thoughts at you
because they're always social media and everything.
You got to know who you are, man, and believe in who you are and don't listen to it.
And I love now being able to say another side of the Puka situation, to say another side
of what somebody else may be going through.
And the one thing I always tell, the one thing, even sitting and talking with God, that's the part I love most.
Like, you know, you can sit and talk with me about anything.
I ain't got no room to judge, no damn body.
You see what I'm saying?
I can share with you, bro.
But, hey, I ain't got no room to judge anybody.
And God has been here after all of that so I can share with you about it.
So I look at it that way.
But you know what's crazy, though?
It's like, like me being who.
I am right and I'm not gonna lie I've always respected I've always respected guys that
has been through things right that's similar to me so I've I never been a type of cat to
listen to somebody that I know that never been through something similar to me or not don't
don't even come from the same background as me right and I think sometimes early early on in my
NFL career I got that's why I kind of got the position of stand office you know being you know it was it
was crazy things that was saying about me. So it's like now that, see, I didn't grow
watching you, but now when those documentary is coming about guys like yourselves and how you
and Dion and that made me respect y'all more because y'all come from my background, y'all come
from, we, most of us out the hood, right? I can't listen to somebody who grew up in the suburbs
and try to explain. I'm like, what the fuck, you ain't, you wasn't, you don't know what it is to wake up,
sandwiches every day
or go inside the house
with the faucet drinking water
you can't get that
you know how it is
growing up in the houses man
right right right
and carrying
and like Jarvis said
you got to carry
the hopes
of that whole family
it ain't like hey
it ain't you making it to the pros
we about to get to the pro
and everything
that is real
that's real man
and it is pressure
the white fans
they got all
they got every dime
of their money
they ain't got to worry
about none of that
they really don't
I got 16 brothers who I bet I own seven homes right now in Florida and and every I got seven homes and I got seven niggas and all of them homes and they won't leave and they ain't paid rent in 30 years and they'll call me and say hey uh you know uh uh Michael we need some new cabinets in the house you've been standing up for 30 years you ain't paid rent or nothing and what are you doing you know
We have these burdens that they don't.
Because our family feel,
remember I brought you some sneakers
when you were in the eighth grade,
you should be able to get me in your house.
Like, look, that was sneakers.
Why can I get you some joints?
Why do I better get you a house?
But, you know, yeah,
it's the best stock in the world
if you're looking at it from that side.
So, Ong, I know we have a haul out of it, right?
Can you tell us about this T-Mobile home room derby?
You got going on?
I see you got the T-Mobile hat on.
Can you talk to us?
Can he talk to us?
Explain us what's going on.
And do it.
Right quick, I did pro's versus Joe's, right?
And when I had an opportunity to go do this home run derby, when I did pros
versus Joe's, it was me, Randy Couture, the MMA fighter, and Jose Casaca.
You know, and so I played football against the Joe, ran there, did the MMA.
Jose was hitting home run, right?
And, dude, the way that ball sound, when Ho's, you know.
Jose dey go ahead.
I said, God, I jumped up there.
Let me get this here.
Yeah.
I was like, I miss every time.
I missed every time.
I was like, you know, this is amazing, man.
I got amazed watching guys and watching him hit the ball.
And I can't wait to get a chance to tour and see that again in Philadelphia,
in Philadelphia, which has always been an interesting city for me.
And that's what I love.
I love the chance to get out at Be able.

Welcome to Sweet 305 where the group chat comes to life.
What up?
It's like a way to say like,
oh, my friend, oh, my friend,
oh, my, my, my,
my brother.
Look, I never have I've ever been
except with my kids,
my kids, and my children.
I'm sorry.
Ooh, yeah.

These are the stories you haven't heard, the kind you'll end up telling someone else.
Like the time Paul McCartney spent in one of the world's most notorious prison.
Imagine that.
You're Paul McCartney.
It's 1980.
You're an ex-Beedle,
and you're doing time in one of Japan's worst prisons
right there alongside Yakuza gangsters
and for a ridiculous charge.
Or the bizarre crime, Lady Gaga, is accused of.
Who is the artist Lady Gaga
as being accused of doing the unthinkable to
after allegedly stealing her music and style to become famous?
And what about that time, Blondie's Debbie Harry escaped a serial killer?
The man who had given her that ride she barely escaped from was Ted Bundy.

We have a hard rock bet segment, Lenny's Locks.
You ready, bro?
I'm ready.
All right, you know, there's a lot of people that's, you know, putting in, you know, considering places.
in bets this off season, hoping putting their parlays together, hoping that the information
you're giving out is the information that is used to, you know, bring some money.
I can say this.
I can say this.
Now that I know people have been taking it serious, I've been calculating my steps, doing my research,
asking others that's familiar with this betting game space.
And I think I'm getting better at it.
I'm not going to lie, I'm getting better.
So it's fair to say that all the money that you lost everybody
doing the NBA playoffs is right now, right now.
It's totally my fault.
It's solely my fault.
But you're going to make it up to them, right?
Yes, I was going on intuition.
I was going on beliefs.
I was going off the win and fail system.
Failed.
I failed.
All right.
Hey, listen, listen.
You know, you're only as good as your next bet, right?
Yeah, let's do it.
All right.
This next segment is sponsored by Hard Rock Bet.
It's called Lenny's Locks.
We have the Dallas Cowboys win total.
Will the Dallas Cowboys have an over or under a nine and a half games?
They will have over nine and a half, but they will not make it to the Super Bowl.
Same old Cowboys.
Same old fucking Cowboys.
All right, all right.
All right.
So let's give it, let's give a NFC East prediction.
then who do you think wins the NFC East?
Is it the, obviously you know it's not the Cowboys?
Is it the Giants who, you know, they got our boy OBJ back?
Scataboo comes back.
Malik neighbors possibly come back off of injury.
I.R.
You know, they may have a chance there.
The Eagles, which they lost, A.J. Brown, right?
You know, they have the Hertz, you know, Seyquon, Barkley.
your team is still attack, right?
And then you got the commanders.
Don't forget the Vante.
And Vante, Vante, sorry, Vante.
Sorry about that.
Sorry about that.
Mikha Limeon, sorry, guys.
And then don't forget the commanders, right?
Commanders, Jaden Daniels, was injured last year.
Now he's back in the fold.
They did lose Debo Samuel, but, you know,
they picked up some other weapons as well throughout this offseason.
So who you got winning the NFC East?
Listen, listen, I would say my sneaky bet
will be the Giants.
Oh.
Right?
Because.
They probably have the best odds, too.
Right.
But it's nothing like a team that's unfolding, right?
New.
You don't know what they're going to come out week one.
You don't know what their office is going to be like, right?
Scataboo's back.
I like Scataboo.
You know, I think he needs to work on it.
He's an old-fashioned downhill runner.
You know what I'm saying?
So I would like to see him, you know, a little bit more wiggle.
You know what I'm saying?
Use them in a past game.
But that dog horse, bro, I have to go with.
I have to go with the Eagles, bro.
I think they make the playoffs, if not win the Super Bowl.
I mean, their team is just that good.
All right, that is.
Lenny's Locks, baby.
We got it.

Man, we had one of the goutts on here, bro.
One of the best ever, like, ever to do it, bro.
Like, that was really a headed.
in the greatest direction, I think,
like any of our interviews have ever headed.
You know, like, I really felt good about it, man.
And sad to see, you know, obviously we got cut short on time,
but, you know, but, man, are we going to do it again?
So y'all make sure y'all stay tuned and keep following us,
keep watching us, man.
We get back on here again,
and we're going to talk some more deeper conversations
and, you know, just chop it up and catch it up.
Yeah, man, I know growing up, man,
my uncles loved his ass, right?
So coming in the house, I see everybody with the 88 jerseys on, right?
And it goes to bring up another subject, O.J. Simpson.
You know, the bills, the bills say they're not going to recognize them in a new stadium, right?
To me, I think it's disrespectful.
But can I get your thoughts on that?
How you feel about that?
Yeah, I mean, it says here says the bill's president of business operations recently
recently stated we have an organizational decision that he is not a fit to display inside of our new
stadium and family circle when this man was rushed for all them damn yards scoring all these
damn touchdowns selling jerseys and isn't he in the ring of honor in the old stadium
yeah he is if i'm not mistaken he's in and bring an honor in the old stadium and and no offense
I know you was in Buffalo for a little bit, but like Frank Gore was there as well.
I'm trying to think who else was there.
Shady McCoy.
Shady McCoy.
Marciaun Lynch.
Marchon Lynch was there.
My other guy, my other guy that's there right now, the brother, the Cook brother.
James Cook.
James Cook.
No offense.
And we can't forget Thurmond Thomas, Thurman.
Thurmond Thomas, right?
Yeah.
But nobody ran that ball like, OJ.
If anybody, if anybody, if any.
if there's anybody that needs to be up in the ring of honor,
especially in a new stadium, you know what I mean?
I feel like it's O.J., obviously, all of the things that happen off the field
probably is playing into the narrative of why he's not going into the ring of honor.
But, you know what I mean?
I think it's not fair.
I think it's not fair to O.J. Simpson and his estate and the type of equity
that he put into the bills, right?
Like he was running that thing, bro.
Ain't too many the running backs ever, you know, ran it like him.
So, I mean, I think it's a narrative thing, but, you know, what you think?
Yeah, I mean, it's always a narrative thing, right?
It's all about how you represent not just yourself, but something that was big, you're part of outside of football.
And it definitely played his part, right?
I wish and I hope that somehow, you know, they rethink that.
They rethink that and put them in the stadium.
Even though that's out of our context is out of our hands.
Yeah.
Do right by the matter.
Yeah, but OJ.
turning over in his grave right now, bro.
You know, that's how they say, man, but we from, man, OJ.
turning over in his grave right now, man.
You know what I mean?
Definitely.
Huh?
Are you stupid?
Bro, serious, man.
This man turned over the grave.
It ain't no way.
I just don't see, you know, what he gave to the Buffalo Bills and his legacy.
see, I just don't see how it just evaporates like that, right?
You know what I mean?
Like, you know, he's somebody that when you, when you go to any other stadium,
regardless of what some guy did off the field, right,
if they played great, if they won championships,
if they were the top player on your team for years,
and they're honored.
They're in the ring of honor.
That's also like, you know, adding jewelry to your stadium, right?
When you got guys like that up there,
it's adding jewelry to your stadium.
that I feel like it's earned.
It wasn't something that was given.
You know, his career was earned.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
So it's interesting, man.
Yeah, maybe it's a narrative thing.
But, you know, again, I mean, who's saying what?
Like, who is, who is saying, hey, y'all can't put that, put, put OJ. Simpson name in there?
Like, who you think is it's saying?
Is that like, they did a petition?
Is that a fan vote?
Like, is that just a, uh, I think, I think, I think it's inside the building.
you know how it is it's definitely inside the building i mean and we know and by me being up there in the
bills you know it's a football it's a football time so he was still with oj oj jerseys you know what i'm
saying but i think it's inside the building and hey i hope you all the bills do the right thing man
please so so jim kelly making it right yeah they're gonna put they damn they're gonna put
josh allen up there before he even retired i i just don't understand i just don't i just don't see it right you know
Like when I think of Buffalo bills and the history of Buffalo, right?
I played in a division.
I played in a division, right?
Like I think of, oh, Jim Kelly.
I think of, you know, OJ Simpson, you know, Josh Reed, the LSU guy, right?
Like, I think of, I think of these are the players that I think of, Josh Allen, right?
I think of Josh Allen.
I think of Steph on a dig, you know, when I think of Buffalo Bills, you know, like, I just don't know
what
led to this decision
but if somebody wore your colors
regardless of what they did off the field
I think they deserved a right
to carry over every name
that was on the old stadium
into the new stadium
I listen, that right there
I agree with you my brother 100%.
Yeah, that's like
you know, that's like, you know,
that's like doing a new debt valley
and not taking Leonard Farnett
and Billy Cannon and Tyra Matthew named to the, you know what I'm saying?
Like, it's insane, right?
And I'm not saying that, you know what I mean?
You shit me.
Right.
And I'm not saying that, you know, I'm not saying that, you know, OJ did it or he didn't do it, right?
Right.
I'm just saying that.
I know what he did on the field.
As I not control it to you, right?
I know what he did on the field, you know?
So, you know, man, I do hope that we could see.
and that they do get it right, man, because it's something about when the guy's a legend
and he's no longer, you know, with us, he can't even speak for himself.
He can't even, you know, I don't know if his estate is going to speak up for him or whatever
it is, you know, but, you know, from your position as a running back, I mean, I'm sure, you
know, you could plead a case for why he should be, you know, in the stadium, you know?
Definitely.
Yeah, bro.
So, hey, Bill, get that right.
in other words lebrine james is leaving the league hey shout out the brony hey
which one though brine me briney james okay okay okay okay line line so we can talk
about that move I respect it 100% 100% if my son got two point if my son got
two point something me at the door guarantee knocking you want it and it's all
up to me what want it hey LA Lakers it's
It's not personal no more.
It's business.
We need that.
So now, if y'all don't want my son,
I'm gonna take it with me where I'm going at.
100%.
And y'all still got to pay.
Well, maybe they try to say, you know what?
We got your son.
We did right by your son.
You're gonna do right by us.
Listen, games is games right now.
Listen, it's all about games.
Right.
Can we talk about this?
The starting five right now for the leaguers,
all white boys.
Man, they're gonna change.
This is the first time in how many years?
I don't know.
Hey, hey, hey.
It's a, I don't know.
That's, that's.
You got to chat GPT this, bro.
I think, I, bro.
I'm looking at the line up, brother.
This shit remind me of the mighty ducks.
Man.
This shit, this shit is, this.
A little giant.
Hey, this.
Man, oh my God.
Hey, that's funny.
What is they thinking right now?
Hey, look, but I would say this,
do you think?
And it's a real question.
Do you think the bus family and the ownership already had in mind when they acquired Luca
that, that, you know, they knew the possibility of LeBron age, how much longer he's going to play,
you know, they took all those things in consideration.
And it worked out to where they still have a superstar, a max player on their team, right?
I think it makes, it made sense for them, right?
probably LeBron thought okay I see they're trying to they kind of valuing Luca
more than me because he's young no way no Brian is kind of but you just never
know listen listen they don't make no LeBron James man they don't but understand age
to my age like they might listen they might not make another LeBron James but
when it comes to we're talking about that money yeah you know what I'm
saying and in the future yeah Luke I got more shelf life you saying yes 10 times more
So do I respect it?
No, because I wouldn't want to disrespect one of the greatest in the game.
Right.
Right.
But what I can see now since that's happened, I pray to God.
His last year, he ended up in Golden State with stuff.
Somebody.
Listen, I would love for him to get another ring.
Him and stuff together, right?
Yeah.
But in other origins, why not go back to Miami?
Right.
Right.
Listen, he goes back to Miami.
I mean, they, bro, either one of those teams, first of all, you said, let's talk about the stuff thing.
It's time the stuff that get back in contentions of championship basketball.
Yeah.
You know, get back on the court, get back healthy.
I think LeBron could be a special piece to that.
And I also think that going to my Miami fans going hate me for saying this, but I think that going to, but I'm a LeBron fan too.
So going to Golden State, we can see more of LeBron.
I think.
I think LeBron will play longer because Steph is a point getter.
He's a score, right?
Three level score in a way, right?
LeBron could just point guard and get stuff open, this and that, right?
I think if LeBron came to Miami, he's going to be forced to score a little bit, right?
And I can take a toll on his body, right?
And I want to see as much LeBron James as possible.
And plus he still be on the West Coast.
He just built a beautiful crib out there on the West Coast.
He's still close to his son.
Who knows?
You know, maybe the Lakers
let his same go at some point.
I do not hope that happened.
But, you know, he can go down to Golden State
and join the team right down the block, man.
That would be great.
I suppose to flying across the country.
Listen, I can tell you why I don't want to see his ass
go back to Cleveland.
Man, I don't.
Cleveland.
This is for you.
I think that's like, that's too far back.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, they're not going to get the same Brian.
they was thinking they're going to get.
I mean, I want to see them winning.
Right?
Understand, they got harder.
They got Donovan Mitchell, but.
Yeah.
Yeah, but.
That's elite.
Better chances.
Better chances in my eyes with Steph and Yonis.
I say this.
I say this.
I say this.
If LeBron and you know what,
I know I'm contradicted myself, y'all,
but now that I think basketball,
it is easier to come out the east
than it is at the West.
The West got some animals.
You do not want to play in the West right now.
It's not a safe time to play in the West.
It's the Wild Wild West for real.
But we're going to say this right now.
He goes to the East.
They're going to make up excuse.
Bro, I don't know why people dislike LeBron so much,
but they're going to say, oh, it was an easy conference.
He was supposed to do that.
Nah, I want my man to go earn that shit.
You can shut him up and retire.
Listen, champions win regardless.
If it's the east, the west, the north, the south,
he can go play in Toronto all I care.
You know, if Drake, if Drake, hey, chill out, bro, chill out.
I'm just saying, I'm just saying, you know,
I don't, what I'm saying is, you know,
you could take a good player off the team,
but you can't take a team off the good, you know what I'm saying?
Like, it just don't work like that, you know,
you put LeBron in any organization.
He's going to be an impact player.
He's going to walk in, you know,
make a difference, man.
He's going to be who we always know him to be.
Yeah, would they be in the same level?
Maybe not.
But, you know, you can rest assured he going to make the playoffs, right?
I think if he –
Oh, yeah, for sure.
I think in the West, it's a lot tougher.
And if he's making business decisions like we saw with Bronny
or like we assume with the Bronny situation with the Lakers,
I think all signs, even though I love to see him play with Curry,
I think all signs lead to an Eastern Conference team,
whether that's Miami or Cleveland,
which how great would it be in his career in in in Cleveland how great would it be not if he wins
oh yeah for sure I mean do you think this though do you think this you watched you watched the
playoffs if if donovan Mitchell and James Harden had a LeBron Jam on the team do you think the nicks
even you know coming back in most of these games that they won do you think the nicks even
winning the championship this year the nicks might not even make it out the series I'm going to be
honest.
Listen, that's hard
to answer, right? Because
the Knicks won. Hey,
are you trying to get New York to hit us, though?
No, I, no. Listen, I love New York.
Some people don't play about their Knicks, bro. Come on now.
Well, listen, and I was happy to see it. And the timing was
perfect. I thought that they earned their championship.
It wasn't, I don't think the Knicks were a team where you looked at
them as a roster and said, okay, like, they're supposed to win the championship, right?
I think they earned their championship.
A bunch of these games, they were down and came back and scored points, right?
I'm a big fan of Brunson.
I thought Cat played well.
Josh Hart, perfect role player, you know, doing what he got to do, whenever you got to do it.
I thought they played well, but I just think that when you look at Boston,
you look at, you know, Miami, who is now kind of unraveled a little bit and build,
regrowing, rebuilding their team.
Like Cleveland, Boston, and the Knicks is.
really the East, you know what I mean?
Like, it's not too many other teams. So if I'm
LeBron James, you know, he
could take two, three weeks off if he wanted to
and they come back and they... Damn. Yeah,
bro. And just, and come
back, I'm saying, and come back and still have a chance
to make the playoffs, right? Like, you know,
like, we can rest into all-star break
in the East. In the West, he got to play
a couple of... Well, look, oh, look.
I'm going to say this, right? I'm going to say this.
If he does go back to Cleveland,
right? But you have in times that we should get
floose seats off the rip.
Oh man, we're going to bring new Orleans out there.
We're going to do we're going to do.
Off the ripo.
We need flow seats.
But I can say this, right?
This move reminds me of someone I play with Mr. Thomas Brady, right?
He's trying to prove himself that, you know, I could do this kind of without the
Lakers and guys hit the same.
Brady did his first show when he left.
So I show the, I show hope King James get the last laugh to show them, you know, because, you
in this game and we could be frank and real it's about you right it's about you and they're trying
to keep as much money as they can too yeah i mean that's that's that's just what it is in these
today's sports in the game and that's what the fans don't understand it's not that we might not
have it no more we get up the age but it's also about it's about the future as we talk about lucas the
future it's about saving money it's about they can show they're preparing their teams and
they're just building in the right way but hey i can tell you this when brady came to Tampa
he raised a lot of things.
Yeah.
Everything went up.
So just know it is.
When Brian Brine choose his team, that city, that state, everything going up.
So I'm with Brian Brown.
Did Brady take a pay cut to go to Tampa?
I believe so.
Yeah, because I think that's interesting too, right?
Like, I know Brown have done some things and restructuring and some pay cuts here and there.
But for the most part, he's definitely been, you know, one of the highest players in the league for a long time.
But it's interesting to see how he approaches this year or his last years, you know, from a monetary standpoint, right?
Like, from a contractual standpoint, like, do you go into the next situation or the next scenario taking, I don't say league minimum, but, you know, taking way less?
Is it about winning or it is about, you know?
Right, right.
And at this age, you know, Brady won his championship.
came back, right? I wonder if
Brian win his championship, does he walk away
from the game this year? If he wins the championship
this year, does he walk away? Does he walk away when he wins his next one?
So that's what I'm going to do, right? I'm going to call Rich Paul.
I'm going to call Rich Paul. I'm going to call
a rich so he can figure this shit out because
and I want when his time
his time has come right, I want his farewell tour to be best.
Yeah. But he deserve it. Yeah. I want to be
surprised. I don't want him to, I don't want, I don't want, I don't want to, I don't want him to tell us
this is his last season. Yeah. What do you, how do you feel with one guys be like,
hey, this is my final season, you know, like, yeah, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think
even when Thomas retired, it's like, damn, right? It's like, nah, no, it's like, you know,
you know what, you know what, you know what, uh, Mitchell's saying in the call man, the game.
I feel like Larry, Burry, one of them ball playing.
You know what I'm saying?
It's like out the blue when he did it, I'm like, damn.
So it's like all the pieces, all the main pieces we had on the team, we had to kind
of figure it out now.
All right, we only came in for Brady, right?
And we know, you know, trying to win.
So it's like, damn, it's like a dang in our chest.
Yeah.
And I felt, I always told British, I feel like, bro, if I would have had you at a quarterback
as a quarterback in my early years,
I could have been like Mike,
Mike Irving three times, four time,
you know what I'm saying now?
Three time, four time champion.
Because a guy in his statue like LeBron and Brady
they make the game that's that much easier
when you surround it by them.
For sure.
It's been real.
For sure.
So I just hope, you know what I'm saying?
I hope that he doesn't announce this to be his last season.
Yeah.
And hey, we're gonna be at some games for this.
It's all coming to some games as you.
I can take it up.
Man, yeah, it'll be, it's going to be fun, man.
I remember, I remember when I got to Miami, he was leaving Miami.
And then when I got to Cleveland, I got the chance of watching for, like, one and a half or two seasons.
And I was there when he made the buzzer beater versus Toronto, sit court side.
Bro, it's no other feeling, bro.
It was no other feeling like watching the man, the myth, the legend, bro.
All right, calm down a little bit, my brother.
Listen, listen, some people still say, you know,
it's an argument between him and Jordan,
and I'm a Jordan athlete.
Love Jordan.
Jordan, listen, love you, love you.
But in my time and in my day,
LeBron James is my goat.
I'm just going to keep it to space.
I put my whole, listen, LeBron, if you've seen this,
and I get dropped by Jordan, I need to get a LeBron.
Well, look, you know this, look, you know this is a brown, brown cheap, brother.
Hey, listen, that's all good, though.
Let's hope.
Let's hope.
You know, I ride from mine.
You heard me.
you know, I ride from my mind, you know.
But I respect the ghost man and he one of them.
You know, the game would definitely, you know, not be the same without him.
Obviously, there's rising stars in the league, you know, with Donovan Mitchell and SGA and
Kat, John Morant, goes out to Minnesota now, you know, so, you know, it's a lot of traction
moving and the younger players that's making their way in the league.
It's different times, but, man, Brian was, Brian's my goat.
man. He's literally my goat.

I'm Jake Brennan, and on the Disgraceland podcast, I explore the wild lives of rock stars and unbelievable true crime stories from music history.
These are the stories you haven't heard, the kind you'll end up telling someone else.
Like the time Paul McCartney spent in one of the world's most notorious prisons.
Imagine that.
You're Paul McCartney.
It's 1980.
You're an ex-beetal.
And you're doing time in one of Japan's worst prisons, right?
they're alongside yakuza gangsters and for a ridiculous charge.
Or the bizarre crime Lady Gaga is accused of.
Who is the artist Lady Gaga as being accused of doing the unthinkable to
after allegedly stealing her music in style to become famous?
And what about that time, Blondie's Debbie Harry escaped a serial killer?
The man who had given her that ride she barely escaped from was Ted Bundy.
Listen to Disgraceland on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I appreciate everyone as always.
Before we leave, my brother, listen, mentally, how you been?
How you been?
How you been?
You're good?
Man, I've been good, man.
I actually came out to Tennessee, man, and get some R&R.
So I'm just looking out at the landscape, nature, you know, and the birds, the trees,
fireflies and you know what I mean like deer you know things that you don't really get in
Florida so you know I I did sense that I needed a little break you know and just from everything
and then also obviously the news with Chris Johnson like you know that that that definitely
struck a nerve in me man because you know we play a dangerous football game and and we tough
you know we train you know and we never assume or
or think that something like that could happen to us.
Like, I was so shocked by the Chris Johnson news
that I was just like, man, like, you call me.
You look at these, we look at guys like, you know, ourselves.
You look at guys like Chris Johnson.
You know, we look at these guys like superheroes.
You know what I mean?
Like, you know, and it's something that is so unimaginable
and unexplainable to see somebody.
especially that quickly, bro, being, you know, and, you know, I've been praying for him
every, every since, since I saw the news and praying for his wife and praying for his family
and praying for everybody that's sending prayers and interceding on his behalf, bro.
I've been, you know, because it's something that I've been thinking about daily because I'm just
like, yo, like, man, I just shocked, bro.
I shot, like unbelievably shocked, bro.
And I know a lot of people don't know Chris, but Chris, Chris, a real one.
I ain't allowed to you.
Like, I've been known him over the years, you know, and I know you played before my time.
But for him just coming back, you know, reaching back out to me, telling me to stay focused
in my earlier career and doing what I had to do.
And like you said, I was in a car, actually, on my way to workouts.
And you call me, you know what I'm saying?
You're like, man, pray for Chris.
So, you know, I'm like, Chris, who am?
like, what happened?
He's like, now, Chris Johnson, you send me the clip.
And, man, I'm talking about, even when I was working out, I couldn't stop thinking
about it.
I couldn't stop thinking about it, right?
Because he left a message and said, you know, you go from working out every day, you know,
with your kids, and to now you can't.
Yeah.
And I'm like, damn.
And it made me in a sense of, you know, be grateful for everything, right?
And I know we all have our own problems.
You know, we all put you with our own things.
But man, it's like you have to be number one, man, for everybody at home.
I don't know how your life is with God, but get right, man.
Get in that Bible.
Read.
I mean, it has all the answers for every scenario we go through in life.
But it's betrayal with friends.
You're trying to figure out, you know, how to get wealthy.
Yeah.
So it's in the Bible, right?
But something like that for having a Chris, you know.
Just hug you, hug your loved ones.
Yeah.
Pray.
No.
And just check on your family.
You know, so the only reason why I say that because I know, like, I have my days, you know, jobs, you have your days.
You know, we human, you know, and sometimes we feel like, you know, nobody understands us.
Yeah.
Which there's somebody out there that does, right?
I'm just not good with opening up, to be honest.
Yep.
So, like, I'm here for you, my brother, Fort and South,
We're here for each other.
And even y'all at home, we're here for y'all.
You know, I hope this message, bring this with your spirit, you know what I'm saying, to start
reading a word, understanding, whatever fight you're going through, you're not in that fight alone.
So I think this also- That's one of my biggest things.
Yeah, I think this is, you know, I think this is also a reminder for everyone.
And, you know, I know tragedy and things like this happen, you know, in life to-to- To-millies
of people, right? But, you know, I think this one for me, man, was a real reminder of, like,
how fragile life is and how important the moments that we have with the people that we love
is, bro. Like, because you just never know. You never, you never know, you never know, man. Something,
you know, that seems small, something that doesn't seem like to matter could matter, could really matter.
Things could change that fast, bro.
And it's unfortunate that, you know, Chris is an example of that.
You know what I mean?
And, but I, but, and I don't know how positive anyone could be around, you know, knowing Chris as far as just talking about this.
But, you know, I'm, I'm happy that his wife, Brittany, I hope I said her name right, Brittany,
and kids in a circle,
everybody, you know, just continuing to do their part.
You know, we pray for miracles.
We're praying for all the times and wonders.
And my family, my family specifically, man,
we're praying for them, man.
I don't know if people out there are fasting for them, man.
I know I saw a couple people doing ALS challenges and things like that, man.
But, you know, we should do a fast for them.
and really, you know, really in the seed, man,
and really pray for him, man, and it's family because it's, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it hurt.
Yeah, it hurt.
It hurt.
It hurt.
And everybody back home, I know the biggest thing in our community, the black community,
y'all please will get check up.
Yeah.
Take care yourselves.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
That's one of the biggest things that I'm kind of putting awareness to my people around me.
It don't matter the littleest thing.
Get it checked up.
You know, we're taking care of it.
Take care of yourself.
Yeah.
And not just black, but everybody who watch the show.
Take care of yourself, man.
Take care of your health.
Yeah.
Take care of your mental.
You know, and we said, we love y'all, man.
We appreciate y'all.
And we'll see y'all next week.
That's it, man.
Forward Talk, boss.
We all, we're all.
Bejjee.
