This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel. Help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Winning on Clay is an art.
The rallies are relentless.
And at the French Open, only the toughest survive.
I'd know.
I competed there for decades.
Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast for no-nonsense breakdowns of the
biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments that define Roland Garris.
She can win.
She's an outsider to win the French win.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any service.
Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever reported on, a Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman.
Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud.
But how long can this alliance last?
Tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?
Listen to Kingdom of Fraud
on the Aihar Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
But see, my thing with Kickers is like,
bro, you got one job, though.
Like, I'm not coming after people,
but I feel like you got one job,
minus the guy.
I saw the priest putting Holy Water on the field.
But they were doing all eight.
They were doing all the type of stuff to the field.
And then boys weren't.
Then they got the priests out there.
I'm like, bro, every time we play them, they do something weird out there.
Damn.
They're praying, prayer.
Yeah.
You know, for the city, you know what I'm saying?
Go ahead.
Might be a little voodoo they do.
Yeah, for real, though.
We back, baby, fourth and south, man.
It's been five weeks, four weeks now?
Five or six weeks.
Five or six weeks, man.
It's a blur.
Been having a ball.
Today's guest, the one in only, Zay Flowers.
Yes, sir.
First round draft pick.
Yes, sir.
second pick overall so he got a little bank he got that bread he got some money he got a little
money yes sir two-time first-time all at ac cc over at boston college two-time pro bowler
uh for a lot of their native NSU native the legend the great zay flowers it's welcome into the show
man appreciate y'all boy yeah man appreciate you coming on man i know it's uh it's a bit of a
or maybe a little drug test involved, you know what I'm saying?
The NFL, they find ways to come find you, boy, I ain't going to lie, man.
But I just want to get into like maybe just like, obviously we've been talking off camera a little bit about, you know, football, life, things like that.
Last year you guys ended out in Pittsburgh.
Can you talk about like just that feeling?
And what was that like watching from the sideline?
But, man, you're talking about the kick.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Crazy.
But it was crazy, though.
Because when I, when we, I seen lightly catch it, you feel
me, you at the 20s, so you're like, damn, we're close.
But from a kicker perspective, you got to add the 10, you got to add to the 7.
Yep.
So when I'm on the field, I'm like, oh, yeah, this game.
I'm talking to them boys.
Game over.
Sorry, I'm talking to him.
And then I'm walking out the field.
And I look back.
I kind of like, look back.
I'm like, damn, we kind of fall.
Like, as I see the field go, I'm like,
Damn, we're kind of far.
Put my helmet down.
I'm like, I ain't even going to look.
Kick.
Boom.
Somebody's like, he made it.
So I turned around a hype.
But I see all the yellow towers.
Just waving.
Ah, they scream.
I see the kick on the field crying.
I'm like, oh, my God.
I just put my helmet on and took off to the locker room.
And I was just talking trash too.
That would kill me.
I just put my helmet on and hit it straight to the locker room.
So from a player point of view, right, when it comes to being superstitious, like for me,
I have to watch it.
Yeah.
Right?
You just said you put your helmet.
down, he turned your head. I have to watch it. So for you, if you could redo it again,
would you watch it instead of turning your head? Maybe if you would have watched it,
right? A different outcome. My eyes ain't controlling his head. My eyes not controlling his leg,
but see, my thing with Kickers is like, bro, you got one job, dog. Like, I'm not coming after
people, but I feel like you got one job minus the guy. I saw the priest putting the holy water on the field
and...
But they were doing all the type of stuff to the field.
Brough, two days before the game, they switched the whole field, grass.
So the grass still a little bit wet.
They changed it.
And then boys weren't set up.
Then they got the priests out there.
I'm like, bro, every time we play them, they do something weird out there.
Damn.
They're praying, pray, but...
Yeah, you know.
You know, for the city, you know what I'm saying?
Go ahead.
Might be a little voodoo they're doing.
Yeah, for real, though.
So next year, this coming up season, let them know,
don't pray over this field as we bother play.
100%.
I'll bring your own priests and son.
For real.
Hey, bro.
New boy walking around throwing holy water on the field.
That's crazy.
Man, being that you were like, you know, obviously a star in that offense and inside of that
organization, like going into that rivalry of that Baltimore, Pittsburgh rivalry, knowing that,
you know, Mike Tomlin, Harbaugh, that's a matchup in itself as well.
Like, what was that like for you as like a young Zayvier?
flowers compared to like maybe this year is they flowers like going into that like did you feel like
the inherited beef like toward like stillers fans um I'm well I ain't got as much history as
dealing with yeah you feel me so it's like going to it you feel me know the rivalry you know what's
going on you know the fans yeah you know everything's going on but I said I'm like I'm about
go out there and hoop like I ain't period period like a normal game like period and then me and Elle went out there
Who? Like, we thought, I'm like, after that second touchdown I'm like, oh, this shit over with.
Yeah.
This shit over with.
There ain't no way they're about to come back.
No way.
So my thing is, even with like, as you know now, Harbaugh's gone, Mike gone.
Is there rivalry still going to be there, you know, even throughout the-
They just beat us to go to the playoffs.
That is going to be there.
Oh, it's up.
It's up.
It's up.
It's going to be there.
It's up.
It's going to be there.
I feel that way, like, I asked you that question because when I came to the
dolphins, obviously the Patriots is always.
is kind of like
dominating in the division, right?
So like, I just inherited like, man,
I don't, I don't rock with them.
You're tired of their eye.
Man, 100%.
Like, we gotta knock them off the, you know what I'm saying?
Ain't no, it's, I inherited the beef.
I inherited all the smoke.
I wanted all the smoke.
Same thing with Buffalo at the time.
Like, the Jets, I kind of always
like not they really,
the top team in the division.
So I asked you that because, you know,
obviously when I played in Cleveland,
you know, we were trying to,
we were trying to establish like our presence, right?
But we could never beat y'all
no matter what we did.
Like, and then same thing with Pittsburgh, like some kind of way, like we always just lose the game.
And obviously, Kansas City is a team that we all know.
See, no, I got, there's a little bit more Kansas City.
Okay.
A little bit more Kansas City and Buffalo.
Yeah.
Then I feel the Steelers, because since I've been to leave, we more than the Steelers did.
100%.
And the only ones that have been beating us was the bills in Kansas City.
And I only even, like, I ain't even had no hate towards him at first, but they kept beating us.
That should build them all the time.
Now I'm mad.
No, I'm mad.
So, this going back to the coach with Coach Harbaugh,
when you heard the news, how you felt, though?
You know what I'm saying?
Because I've met Coach Harbaugh when I was in Jacksonville.
Actually, we went up there for joint practice,
and I loved everything about him, right?
He's a player's coach.
He's very understanding, you know?
So when you heard that news, how you felt about that?
It was just crazy for me.
He's been coaching that so long.
He's been coaching that practice.
I was born.
Yeah.
So it's like to see him going and to be there while he's going,
It hit way different.
You're like, damn, he's gone.
Like, you really can't believe in until you see it, you feel
me, like, I pulled up to the stadium
and I seen Coach Mentor in his office.
I'm like, damn, damn,
I'm like, damn, but, you know, it's time for, like,
it's a new time, bro, it's like, it's a pass.
It's more of a passing game, nine, it's more,
where people ain't really worried about defense as much.
You feel me, like, back in the day,
Harbaugh had Ray Lewis, Airy, like,
it was more defense when he won the Super Bowl.
Now, it's starting to pass over to, like, passing
and, like,
explosiveness on the field.
So as he was your coach, what did you learn from him that you can carry on in your career
from here on out?
Just the way you work, like preparing for games.
Like how he prepared for games, he can get like anybody prepared.
Like, he good at getting you ready to go play.
So, and I think that's why we flew.
Yeah, not even speeches.
It's just the way we practice.
Like, how he gets you prepared to go play and hit and do your job.
Like, it carry over to the game without even you, like, having to think about it.
So y'all, y'all, y'all was tackling damn that?
In practice?
Y'all was tackling the practice?
Bro, we're full pads.
Oh, no, I'm not.
Be real, I am with that.
We didn't get the NFL PAA on the line.
How ever many practice pads you can get?
Oh, you're getting them.
Every single one.
100%.
Jesus.
Bro, we're doing one-on-ones, week 17.
What?
Yeah.
Hey, I ain't going to lie.
Right, right, right.
Why my anchor is all the day, boy.
Week 17s, we're doing one-on-ones.
Everybody out there, you're tired.
You're still going.
physically your body like how you manage that though you know what I'm saying like don't like that was low key that we had a lot of we had a lot of like injuries yeah because how we practice how we went like yeah the low it's too heavy yeah low it was heavy yeah like bro the first two games last year bro I had 10,000 yards the first game I ran 10,000 yards 10,000 yards the second game I ran 20,000 yards and two games and still ran 4,000 5,000 4,000 practice that week that's that's
It's crazy.
It definitely adds up.
Yeah.
I mean, you got your fresh legs.
You got the, you're young, boy.
You're spraying chicken.
For real, though.
That's how they treated it, though.
That's how they cheated it.
But you're going to be tired at some point.
Man, man, look, you know, now it makes sense, bro.
I remember playing in Cleveland, Brian.
I always felt like y'all helmets had a little bit extra, like,
I'm telling you, like, laid in it or something.
Like, their helmets was, like, heavy.
Like, I get hit like a normal tackle and this shit hurt so bad.
And I'm like, why is this shit hurt my?
My arm, my anchor hurt, like, these boys mad.
They pissed off.
They get overworked.
They're taking it out on us.
That's real.
So my question is now, do you think it was a good thing or bad thing?
Because, you know, you had guys, you know, Bruce Erion, where he treated us right, right?
Kept us fresh.
You know, we didn't tackle as much, but from a mental standpoint, that's what he was worried about.
You know on your assignment.
He knew we don't go out there and play an ass off.
But just to feel.
fresh just to feel that they're relieved do you believe the new coach you have now kind of get that
sense of all right we have to be fresh right because that's that's kind of like with john harball and
mike it's like the old mentality yeah right of wearing you down you know but do you think that with
that transfer over now the new fresh legs everything yeah but i talked to the new coach he worked with
hardball in 2017 so he know how i was like he know that how we worked with hardball so he like
you're going to get your work,
but, like, it's going to be
a little bit easier, like, on your body.
Right.
You're going to be freshen for the game.
Right.
So that was the first talk I had with him.
Like, hey, how practice is going to look.
How I, yeah.
Yeah, no, that's, that's it.
Yeah.
Bro, on Friday, like, we run it all week.
Then Saturday, Friday, Saturday.
I'm like, damn, my legs.
You still, you still shot.
Yeah.
So now my legs, pick up,
my legs start to recover on Saturday.
Then I get better than playing the game the next day.
Right.
Right.
So did you cold tub every day after practice?
Every day, right.
Had to.
I'm cold tubbing on game day.
Oh, no, no, no.
I drive back to the facility, bro.
They bring ice to my room every Sunday before the game.
I had a cold tub at 7 in the morning.
Get in.
Is that a good thing?
I'm trying to.
In some signs to it, this boy is popping off.
I ain't going to lie.
He's probably.
I cold tub, hot tub on Saturday.
Cold to hot tub.
Go fly wherever we fly.
Or if we plan at the Ravens, I do a cold tub back at the facility.
Or I get in a cold tub at the hotel.
I have a little blow-up hotel.
And then Sunday,
I get back in that cold tub
and go play
So where did that come from?
Like, like, because to me, right,
you understand how to take care of your body, right?
You understand how to prepare, right?
Did you learn that from a vet inside of the building?
Or was that something that you just, just trial and era?
Loki, I learned that from Nelly, Agalore.
Yeah.
I learned that from him.
He takes care of his body OD.
Like, all the people he used, I'm still using to this day.
I work out with him every day.
But he was just showing me how to take care of my body then.
old came in and he did the same thing for me so all my vets that came in just showed me new
stuff and whether i liked it or not i added something to my routine or i dropped something out
the routine but cold tub was like always been the one to fresh my legs yeah no that's what's up
that's what's up yeah i always found like that was like one of the biggest things that i wish i'd
do early in my career so i'm happy to hear that you have already started that and learned that
from the vets because i didn't really start that honestly to like i ain't go out until like my contract
So like, yeah, maybe around the same time.
Maybe you started a little bit younger than me, right?
But around like three, four, year three or four, like, I was like, okay, that was
like the time like LeBron, the stat came out, LeBron put like two million dollars in the body
a year, right?
That was around that time and I was like, okay, and then I hit O, then O was like, man,
I'm doing like an M a year, like just in my body and doctors and this and that.
He got all the type of doctor.
Yeah, so I was like, man, look, let me start getting massages every other day, you
know, let me start like taking care of my body, getting IV.
things like that.
Yeah, but even in your time,
y'all,
unless you wasn't really big on, you know,
taking care of the body.
You always, no, we wasn't,
but, you know, in college, it's different.
Like, you don't, you know, you got the,
and you don't have no money to pay for that.
You know what I'm saying?
You're dropping an M in college,
but maybe not with NIL, right?
But, like, back then, you're not dropping a,
dropping an M, right?
But also,
what I realize is
to go back to Cleveland
when I got to Cleveland my first year, bro,
You know, like most times when you're in training camp, the team will bring like masseuses in or whatever it is.
They wouldn't even doing that.
By walking there, I'm like, this is why y'all having all these soft tissue injuries.
This is why guys are getting hurt.
Like, we need to bring some like, you know, some outside therapists in here, blah, blah, blah.
So we finally moved to that.
But, you know, in that transition, the other guys taking care of their body and stuff.
So I'm happy to hear that you're doing that at this point in your career, bro, because, you know, this game is about availability, bro.
Yeah, and definitely.
You know, the more you're available, the more you can, you know,
you can make the plays that we love to see you make, you know what I'm saying?
So keep that up, man.
I'm proud of you for that, dog.
You guys got a new offensive coordinator this year as well.
Have you, I know you talked to the head coach.
Have you talked to O.C.?
I'm not at them, boys, all right now.
Get me going.
But, um, Deek, yeah, Deke and Doyle, he's the same age as Lamar.
Really?
Yeah.
Damn.
He, like, 28, 29.
Do you like that?
Do you like having a coach you feel like you feel like you?
might have the same mentality of us.
Right.
Explosive.
They go, let's go chase them.
Period.
All along.
Whether it's a run, pass, I don't care what it is.
No, only we're explosive, bro.
He got the same mindset.
No, 100%.
Has he, has he gave you any insights on, like,
how are you going to potentially be using you this year?
Like, because, you know, I got.
It's going to be a little bit more usage.
Yeah.
It's going to be a little bit more use.
I'm happy about that.
I'm happy about that.
Get the ball in this man hands as many times as possible.
If we want to win.
I was trying to tell him for a minute, bro.
I don't want to listen to.
as many times as possible.
Please.
Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called,
Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name,
Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And, well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests.
in tennis. And I know firsthand because I competed there myself. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs
tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris, every match, every upset,
and what it really takes to win on Clay. Jenschen win. I mean, she went down to three to Rabakina,
but I'm delighted. She's an outsider to win the French for me. And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lerna Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can win on any

800 9 with it in Ohio call 1 800 my reset gambling problem call 1 800 gambler so my next question is you know
as far as y'all building a relationship how's that going um like me and on the OC yeah I mean so I went
up there I'd be flying up there all the time so I go fly out there check on the crib but every time
I go there I'm going to see him like I'm saying down hey what you what you drew up today like
you feel me asked about the found like just build a little relationship with them just like I'll
side of football so you get to know us.
But I'm letting know I'm training down here.
Like, we ready.
Like, first day I'm not.
I love that.
I love that.
100%.
Man, I tell you that, that new OC feeling is a good feeling, right?
Because like, like, you want to go out there, show everything that you can do.
You hope he watched all the tape.
So he'd see, like, yo, I can do this and I can do this shit over here, too.
Like, it's funny because I was with Declan in New Orleans.
Yep.
So if he's going to use that play style, the same, you know, was that Sean
Payton, Sean Paying play style where, you know, most of their offense was just predicated on,
like, who's getting a ball?
You know what I'm saying?
So it's like, you know, I want to get Zeta ball.
I got to put them in this position, third receiver inside.
I want to get, I got to put them in the back field.
Like, you know what I mean?
So, like, most of their plays are not standard plays, like how OCs that I play with where
they're just saying trips right, you know.
And all go.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then you would be here just to get this.
Yeah, no.
It's like, yeah.
So you'd rather your coach try to put you in the best possible position to win like
as a one-on-one or a linebacker?
Everywhere.
Yeah, okay, I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
Everywhere.
Not to compare you, not to compare you, but we talked about this maybe two weeks ago, like,
I think, but again, not to compare you because I feel like you're one-on, right?
But how Seattle using JSN, bro.
That's how you use me.
Yes, bro.
You put that boy everywhere.
Blackfield.
Everywhere.
Wildcat.
Any way I can get Zayflowers the ball, put it in his hands.
Definitely.
Put it in his hands, man.
So I'm excited to see how that turns out and how you and Lamar and the other guys
like connect.
You know, I know y'all lose lots of big peace and likely.
How you feel about that, man?
Because I like Likely.
And he won't at 80, too.
You know what I'm saying?
That's my dog.
Yeah.
That's my dog.
Yeah.
But like.
I'm happy for him, though.
He's not, he gonna, he deserved that tight-hand one for sure.
I do.
Like, he deserved to go play somewhere and just go and go hoot.
Like, he down the half.
If you're getting the ball right, he'll have $1,200.
Yeah.
I would say this, because he moved like a receiver, bro.
No, 100%.
He is a receiver to me.
He does everything.
Yeah.
Give him the ball, bro.
He blocked.
Block his ass.
I see him.
He blocked his ass up.
I would say, like, watching y'all play, bro,
I'd never seen a drop off from Andrews not being in the game to him playing.
Like, like, it wasn't.
To me, it was never a drop ball.
If anything, I felt like y'all was more lethal.
Obviously, having Andrews out there, big body, you know what I'm saying?
Catch everything.
Catch everything.
Outside of the injury, like, I hope he gets healthy back, healthy this year.
Like, he a dog too, right?
But likely gave y'all a, bro.
Likely, going to catch the ball at 5 and pick up 30.
Every time, bro.
Or he going to score.
Every time, bro.
Every time.
You got to love that.
Yeah, bro.
And I can see, also, I can see the trust with Lamar, right?
He can throw it anywhere.
He going to throw it to him, bro.
go get it. He's going to throw it to him, bro. So, man, but I mean, so I'm excited to see how
what your evolution is going to look like with this new system, with some fresh pieces, right?
Man, and I'm excited for you, and hopefully they, they move you around and put the ball in your
hands in different positions, man. And as we're speaking about Lamar, was, was he someone that you
watched growing up? Because, because, like, y'all from the same city, right? And, like, they're near the same
I got nine brothers.
Yeah.
And I got four sisters.
There's 14 of us.
Yes, sir.
All my brothers was like, them boys gaming down here.
Like, little league, high school, they've been gaming, playing.
And Elle used to watch my brothers.
Oh.
So Elle knew my brothers way before I even knew him.
Damn.
So when I get that, he already knew one of my brothers, one of their Marquis.
They used to call him joystick.
He used to be out there doing it.
But you feel me school?
You know how that goes.
Yeah.
then I get to the lead
then he's gonna take the name
from my brother and give it to me
I'm like bro how you gonna do that
so like my family
like been knowing up for a minute
like little league
like my brother used to play against him
yeah so it's been like
I ain't really know him
because he older than me
so he knew my brothers
that was his age
he watched my brothers
my brothers watched him
they knew him
yeah
like
brad's been there
yeah man that's what so
so what was your first conversation
like like when you got drafted
to the radio
Like, did he call you up?
And it was like, no, no, that's what's up.
I like that stuff.
We went straight to the, we had no,
went straight to the beach, did the work out there.
But we were just chatting, but we just talk about everything
that going down here, you feel like, it's like from where you're from,
somebody you just seen growing up.
Well, you know what he's from?
It's like about, what, 30 of y'all, and y'all sit there.
Stop playing, bro.
Stop playing, dog.
He's from the country, like, it's small though, that's, huh?
For real?
All right?
No, I'm from a small town.
Who at?
Like, it's called Convent, Louisiana.
You wouldn't even, you never heard of it,
you probably wouldn't hear of it unless I say it.
Oh, you know, bad rules, you know, on New Orleans.
So I'm like a town that like, you pass through one of them,
well, you don't even pass through my town
to get to none of them places.
Like, it's like.
By itself.
By itself.
No stoplights, no stores.
You here, though.
Y'all, for sure, by the grace of God, yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
See, Zzzy.
No, he's a real one.
He's a real one.
For sure, you know what it is like, bro.
You're a real one.
Yeah, yeah.
So we speaking on, you know,
You first getting drafted, right?
Because I can't remember when I got drafted by Jacksonville,
I DM Blake Brothers was my quarterback at the time, man.
Look, whatever you need from you, I'm here to win.
Yeah.
Because obviously before I got there, you know,
Jacksonville was kind of in the slum, and it wasn't winning as much.
But say, when you do draft guys like yourself that can change the organization, right?
What was your mindset, even though I know you came from Boston College, right?
And now you're entering a whole different, a whole different fraternity, you know,
going to the Ravens, right?
What was your mindset?
He's like, was it like,
I have to come in here and change everything about this?
Yeah, because you know, the receiver,
like the thing about receivers in Baltimore,
like, oh, they don't drive good receivers
and they all do this.
I'm like, you got me fucked up.
I'm about to come in and change all that.
They ain't have no pro bowlers like.
True.
So I'm about to come here and change all that.
They was already gaming.
Like, Elle already had MVP's.
You know, like, them boys already been
an ASC championship.
The boys are like, they already undid all that.
So I'm like, I'm about to come here.
here and do my part and I'm going to change the way everybody see receivers in Baltimore.
Yeah, I love that.
I feel like that's been your mindset throughout your whole entire life.
Yeah, I'm saying?
You mentioned being 11 of, what, 11 of 14, right?
Yeah, I'm number 11.
11 child out of 14, right?
Like, I feel like, you know, even at BC, right?
There's no real standout receivers that.
It's nothing over there.
Man, there's no standout receivers at BC.
Bro, the last time a receiver got drafted before I got drafted was 40 years ago.
Oh, that.
Forty-two years before that.
Yeah.
And they had 15 rounds.
He went like, number, he's been like, nine-round for probably.
That's crazy, bro.
For real.
No, but like, you know what I'm saying?
Can you talk to, can you talk a little bit about, like, your mindset growing up, like, even from, you know, from childhood, right, to now, kind of like, always having something to prove whether it was the undersized thing or, you know, whatever it was.
I mean, we were young, bro.
We all played football, so it was always competitive in my life.
family like everything we did we was always outside racing no shoes we playing football and
our boxes in the front yard we had to park playing basketball playing football we outside all day
like we and my brothers we was outside yeah like playing doing something like we was always doing
something I ain't gonna say it was always the right thing but yeah yeah for sure we were doing something
but and then like growing up as I seen like I'm like I don't want that to happen to me like you
see your brother go to jail you see this you see that and I'm like I always had like a different mindset
I don't want to do that.
I'm straight.
I see my old boy go to work every day.
4 a.m. I see him get up.
Then he come back home to the career at 6 p.m.
Take us straight to practice.
Yep.
We tend deep in the truck.
Bags, we in the trunk.
What type of truck?
As suburban.
The old boy.
It was great.
No, it was burgundy.
Okay.
We had a burgundy one.
Bone truck.
We go on top of the bags in there.
Like, yes, sir.
And I see my old butt working every day
Then as I got older, I'm like, oh, I don't want to see him do that no more.
Yep.
And then I put my work in to what I love.
Motivation.
And then I went to work every day.
That's why I hit the gym.
I wake up every day at 5 a.m.
Yep.
Go to the gym every day.
Yep.
Would you credit your work ethic a lot to your dad?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
What was he like?
That boy used to get up.
That boy used to get up.
Let me tell you, for example.
That boy, get up.
He worked all week.
He'll get up on Friday.
No, Saturday.
He'll get up Saturday.
at four in the morning,
take all the clothes from all of us
that we all will probably be like,
you know, the big garbage bag,
the black ones.
Yeah, the washing problem.
Take like seven, eight bags.
He'll wait me up.
You want to come?
You want to come to the laundry house?
I'm like, all right,
but I get up.
He'll get you some breakfast
because you ain't going to get the same breakfast
when you should go back to the house.
So I used to get up.
We used to throw all the clothes in there,
wash them.
And then I used to sit there,
have a donut,
have a crispy cream,
have a little orange juice,
and then he'll probably get me a sandwich
from it,
I just sit there all day with him and then he'll take it all back to the career once it's all dropped dumping in the middle of flow you take whatever yeah you take whatever you want for the week for the school and then get ready for practice go to the game you go play that morning
bro that shit's so crazy but like because when you say that like it bring back so many memories for me because you know growing up that's what we did too yeah you know going to the lounge and mat uh playing bumble calls in a fucking uh yeah the little the little great things yes yeah so it's like so I I
He kind of hit me a little bit, you know what I'm saying?
I'm trying to get my fucking words together, but just pick it back on that.
Like, how was it when you got drafted?
Bro, they almost stormed the stage.
They're about to run on top of the stage.
I swear, like, at first, like, you feel me?
Hold on.
Who all you had there?
Everybody.
Everybody.
Bro, this was crazy because, you feel me?
I'm like, damn, I'm at Boston College, bro.
We just went three and nine.
Like, I know I'm going to get drafted, but I don't know where I'm going to get jacked at.
Right.
Right.
So, like, I'm going to my visits.
I'm doing the visits.
They all telling me, you know, we like, you, da, da, this and that.
And then I get to the Ravens.
And the Ravens, like, Harbaugh, they ain't even talked to me about football.
Hardball sent me down.
He was like, we're going to draft you.
And I'm like, for real?
He's like, yeah.
He's like, yeah, we're going to draft you.
I'm like, for real?
He's like, yeah.
I'm like, so go get suits and go to the draft.
As soon as I walked out the bill, as soon as I walked out his door,
I called my old boy.
I said, go get air.
fit it for some suits.
Hold on you just said, let's go.
You just said y'all went, you went three and nine.
We went three and nine.
And you still went first round.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Now he recognized the talent.
Yeah, you had the talent.
Yeah.
Because usually when you come from a losing.
That's what I'm thinking.
I'm like, damn, I'm about to go third four round.
I'm like, damn, and I was just gaming at you two.
I went crazy.
I'm like, bro.
I'm about to go third, four.
We three and nine, dude.
You don't look like a winner.
100%.
100% you couldn't get it done.
But Harbaugh say, hey, go get in the suits.
You're about to get you.
Man, did he tell you this at the draft?
I made the combine.
When I went on my visit.
But I had a feeling they was going to get me, too,
because when I did the combine, as soon as I sit down, he's like,
hey, my quarterback asked about you.
And I was like, what he said?
He said, he told me to draft you.
I said, that's the right thing to do.
100%.
Shout out to the best thing.
Shout out to Lomba for being the one.
You know, taking care of home.
Yeah, taking care of home for number one.
For sure.
You don't find that.
You don't find that too often.
Bro, we back.
Another segment, sponsored by Hard Rock Bet, Lenny's Locks.
We're going AFC North.
Who are you thinking?
We're going to go, when I say we're me and you because we didn't have a shit together.
Oh, you put me in a seat?
Come on out.
We're going to go with the Baltimore Ravens.
I really like that.
New coaching.
I think it's a different look for the offense.
Lamar, you know.
Healthy Lamar.
Healthy Lamar.
Zay Flowers.
Derek Henry, you know, evolving that passing game into the running game.
So I think they kind of go in the leverage of Baltimore,
and I think I'm taking them to win that whole division.
So you're saying you're a firm believer in this coaching change.
No hardball no more.
No Mike Tomlin, no hardball match up anymore.
You're a firm believer in the new head coach.
Out with the old and with the new.
And sometimes new may be better.
Well, I guess we're going to find out.
For sure.
And that was the hard rock bet segment, Lenny's Locks.
Picking back on the draft, right?
You seen you have word of pinment, right?
Yeah.
Of a couple family members.
Yep.
And your family, can you explain that?
I had my mom on there.
My mom passed away.
I was young, though, like 2005.
That was a lot of the reason that some of my brothers stopped playing balls.
too like that kind of messed them up so yeah you know my dad was one of my mom and then I
had my uncle on there my uncle then like my brother he lived with us he lived with my dad
for like his whole life yeah 100% and then because when my mom died my grandma took half
us and so we lived with my grandma for like six or seven years and my uncle that was my
grandma son when they lived with my dad so she took the youngest and my dad took the older ones because
they could take care of their self correct and then after some time we just
eventually went back with my dad and he passed away and then my brother passed away Martin
like 2017 um sorry and then my grandma that would take of us she she too actually just passed
away too like two three months ago yeah i'm sorry to hear that yeah i'm sorry to hear that so like
they got me though so yeah i ain't been yeah sharing me they are they always there yeah so uh obviously
you know i i experience the droughts kind of different right um
I'm sorry, because I got my grandma,
tatter right here.
Yeah.
She had my grandma met a lot to me.
So, it's gone over that, and, you know,
every young man's dream is to buy their mom, their first home, right?
Yeah.
Right.
And, of course, you've seen it plenty of times, right?
How was that feeling, right?
Just knowing that I, I might can't buy my mom's a home,
but I could show take care of my pops.
Yeah.
Right?
Right.
How was that feeling?
Because I know the love is kind of different, you know,
The pop is always the tough one.
You know, the mom is the mother nature
to take care of their baby
and by you not having that, right?
How did that make you feel?
I've seen my partners go change
to a whole different person, you feel me?
Like, yeah.
I see my father go from person to no person to,
to having real conversations with us
about the past, about the future.
He ain't never had no conversations with me
and like, you know, feel me?
Until he was like, until he had a little staple.
until he felt like he could let go a little bit, you feel me?
So them conversations and like how his personality was all changed after that.
So that meant a lot to me.
Like, I did something with my old bucket just chill, sit back.
100%.
You feel me?
He'd been working all.
It's like taking care of 14 kids.
Yeah.
So shit, it's my turn on.
Like, let me get you right.
Let me take care of you.
Did you feel the weight of all that?
Like, you know, like the weight of like the pops, you know, other 13 civilians,
right, you know, to be able to like be the one, you know, in reality, right?
Like, in your family to like, be like, nah, we're straight.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, did you feel the way to that, you know, at BC?
Do you still feel the way to that?
Oh, for sure.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, that's why I get up and grind every day.
Yep.
I'm like, I hate seeing, you feel me, sectioning, I hate seeing people, my people,
don't you feel me?
Yeah, for sure.
So I'm like, I'm going to get up and go grind every day.
By any means.
by any means.
I don't care what I got.
I'm gonna grind like I just got it or I never had it.
No, 100%.
No, 100%.
I know Leonard grew up with a few fruit brothers,
more brothers and sisters than I did,
but I know I felt that responsibility, you know,
at a young age, right?
I know you mentioned that, like,
you decided at a young age that, like,
yo, like, I'm about to just turn up
for the whole type family, right?
Like, and that means a lot, man,
to hear that.
And I know some people,
know about your story not a lot of people know about you know everything that you went through
or had to carry you know a lift to get you to this point man um and and and as athletes a lot of time
it gets overshadowed right definitely you know what you do yeah you know what you know what you
know they only see the athlete you know they don't see the man right they don't see the father
that's raising 14 kids right that's you know you know that's different yeah loss a wife right
maybe lost a son right that you lost a brother right like that you are here
human right you know what i mean so i commend you man for always showing up for your people dog you
appreciate it yeah no i really really do respect that a lot about you man and um i always been a big fan
of you you know what you're saying um but i respect that a lot man and and carrying your mom
across the stage your uncle across the stage with you can you talk about like what that night
like like you know i know you maybe hit it a little bit but just talking about that night right
that that experience of knowing that you know you're about to be a change maker in your
family, bro, forever.
That your whole work paid off.
Yeah, man.
Like, like, I know Pops' proud of, man.
I know there's so many people proud of you, bro.
Like, you know, like, could you even, like, do you, like, could you even express, like,
what it felt like to actually go over there, shake Roger Goodell hand?
I went, I was ignoring him for real.
Really?
Like, bro, I'm looking at all my people right there.
100%.
Ready to get down from all this thing.
Nice.
Yeah.
I want to eat.
I just shook him up.
I'm ready to get down there.
No, 100%.
Like.
Shout that moment with them.
You know what I did to get here?
What?
I had to go to, I had to lead a crib.
I had to go to Boston College.
I'm thinking, like, feel me?
I know I'm better than what I was.
I'm like, Miami ain't off of me.
I'm right here.
Right.
Nobody ain't off of me.
Like, I had to go somewhere else.
I had to go take a whole other route.
Yeah, get out the mud.
Get it out the mud, for real.
So I'm like, I ain't worried about Roger Goodell for real.
100%.
I'm looking at all my people that are right there.
Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis.
And I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs.
And on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'm Breast.
taking down everything happening at Roland Garris.
Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay.
Jen she won.
I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now,
and I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
Man, that's awesome, brother.
It's crazy.
It's certain trials that you go through that make you who you are, too.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
I know you spoke on your brother.
You know, we just talked about your mom, but how was that like?
Because I have brothers, you know what I'm saying?
And that's some of the first, that's some of your first fights.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
That's some of your first real best friends, the first people you love.
Your idols.
Right?
So even now, how does Zay Flowers carry that his mother, his uncle, his brother, especially
his brother, though?
By doing what I'm doing for the fan for her.
Just take care of him.
Play.
Like, when my brother passed away, the next day I'm going to play in the game.
Right after.
Because that was the only way you feel me, like, that were going to get me through, like,
what was going on.
Just keep playing.
Just keep.
You feel I mean?
Like, I don't even know for real.
Like, all I knew would go play and try to get somewhere where I'm going to take
care of everybody where it's going to make this a little bit better.
You feel you?
Yeah.
Then just being at the crib, then everybody just sitting there thinking about everything we lost.
Yeah.
No, if I, you know, you said that, that, for athletes, you know, me also in particular,
like, that was my, like, safe haven't, right?
Yeah.
Like being on the football field.
Like, no matter what I was going through in life,
like when I touched the football field,
like, it was just me, God, and the ball.
Like, you know what I mean?
And, like, the same thing they say,
you know, when you step between the white lines,
like everything outside of the white lines don't matter.
Something's going on at the crib.
Something's going on back home, whatever it is.
Like, man, I got to go, I got to go, like,
that was the only way I can let it out.
Man, it was the only way, you know what I mean?
And.
Because we mad, bro.
You didn't really talk how to express yourself,
but.
At all.
about only about what you do yeah so yeah yeah just go play and like like and I know people
probably gonna watch it at home but like damn we lost his brother you know I lost people my family
he lost people in our family but people don't understand what we're from that is the norm
though yeah like like that is a that is a normal thing like 20 22 and we played against the the
rams to go to the NFC championship right my cousin is at my career we just got killed right so
They like I was off that whole week, you know, still going through the motion still being me, you know time and all my team are like, man, you good. I'm like, yeah, I'm straight. You know, my cousin just died. They're like what?
But to them, that's like it's yeah, like, oh, you're good. Like, like, man, you shouldn't be here right now. I'm like, I'm straight like, you know what I'm saying that that's just what goes on.
Excuse me, but in the black community. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? It might be gun violence. You know, it might be whatever the case may be, but it was always like it's the normal thing. Oh, he died.
I threw in a row, this, that and third,
move on with you like.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Did you have teammates doing that time?
You know, you said you played the game,
like the next day.
Did you have teammates doing that time
that you was able to talk to?
Oh, yeah.
Like, two of my best friends that I played with
and literally they went all the way through high school with me.
And then I had some,
some of my basketball friends.
I played basketball at youth school too.
So them boys, they all just got around me for real.
Yeah, no, that's what I saw.
That's where it was.
Yeah, they took care of me.
Like, they down there, like, when we had the food for my brother's funeral, they bought all the, like, their families.
Like, they did, stuff like that.
Jay got around us and took care of us for a.
No, that's real.
No, that's true.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's what I suck.
That's what suck.
100%, man.
No, man, I mean, I really do, I commend people like that to be having people around you because sometimes, like, people don't even, you know, they don't even stop to, stop to see it.
You know what I mean?
I stop to, I care to ask, you know what I mean?
And the crazy thing is we need them more than what they think.
For real.
Just to say something.
Yeah, we need them more than what they think, man.
And kind of wanted to just dial switch it up, you know what I'm saying?
Obviously, you know, you camera was playing Kodak and you was kind of vibe into it.
Can you tell me like, what's your pregame songs, man?
You love listening to pregame.
What's your history of hip-hop?
Yeah.
Pre-game.
I'm playing Kodak.
All real.
Then I'm going to throw some young boy.
Yeah.
Then I'm going to throw, I listen to my brother.
So my brother that passed away, he made a few songs.
He was playing with it, but like, you feel me, it means a lot to me now.
Yeah.
That just to hear his voice before the game.
So before I walk out, I play him, and I got another brother that made music,
and I listen to him a little bit.
So really those for Kodak, young boy, then I listen to my brother before I go out,
listen to my two brothers before I go out, and I'm going.
Top two Kordak songs.
Talk to.
He got too many.
All right, give me five.
On everything.
That's old, huh?
That's that old, that old cordial.
On everything.
Then I got to go signs.
Old Kodak.
Old Kodak.
Yeah.
X's and O's.
Okay.
Okay.
X in those.
I wish.
Another five.
And then he just dropped another album, so I ain't going to lie.
The better on there.
The better?
Yeah.
I got to go bump that.
Okay.
Five young boys.
Five young boys.
He got too many.
That nigga drum a song every day.
Bro, they got like 15 albums, 16, 20s.
A album.
He got like 30 albums and he's been rapping what, what, since 2015?
Yeah.
Drake been rapping since 2008 and only got 13.
Bro, it's crazy.
So, I still need 25, though.
I still need five, though.
Untouchable.
100%.
100%.
It got to be that.
Untouchable.
Damn.
Bro, I can't even think.
Untouchable.
Self control.
Fire.
I'm grandma, baby.
I like that one.
Preacher.
What is it?
Preacher?
some preacher with like preach in one of the titles i don't know he got he got like he got so many
songs bro um let me give you two more i ain't gonna lie dump truck he just came yeah yeah
yeah hard yeah don't truck and um what was his last album um the the master i ain't a lot like
all them all that's jumping yeah all let's jump in no that's fight no that's what about what
about your top 10 receivers top 10 receivers yeah it could be all time it could be right now
and zay flowers is on that list yeah so don't so so so so don't exclude yourself for sure all right
what you want you got a pin one all time or right now y'all got a pick one all time right now
i like to say all time yeah all time because before you start because like obviously a lot of guys
that you you played with at the ravers like you know odell d'i hoppy yeah you want you
watch them growing up.
Yeah.
So it's going to be hard.
Right.
Don't do that.
Don't do that.
But I got to go.
I got to go like my favorite.
Yeah.
I'm going to go A.B.
I'm going to Tyree Kill.
I'm going to go on Jerry Rice.
I'm going to go Megatron.
Randy Moss.
Yeah.
That's five.
That's five.
All right.
Steve Smith.
Dog.
Dog.
I ain't never do a top 10.
Larry Fitzgerald.
Who else we got?
Who else we got that were gaming?
That's seven.
That's seven.
So far, so far, that's a nice list.
It's a great list.
And it tells me a lot about, like, you as a receiver of, like, guys that you may have, you know, watching a game, looking at the, you know, the history of the sport, right?
Like, because for me, at the same time, it's, like, who I watched was who I was trying to play like, right?
and you get a different,
I feel like you can get a taste of who a receiver is
by who you like 100%.
So keep going.
You at 7.
I really like your list, a lot.
Damn.
I ain't never do a top 10.
I did a 5, but I ain't do a 10.
There's only three more.
Three more.
Three more.
I'm trying to think.
I could throw some names out there.
There's some names out there from me.
What about Tio?
Tio.
What about?
Tio.
Tio, Ocho Cinco.
Ocho Cinco.
He's from, you from the career, too.
Yeah, got to, yeah.
So let's say one more.
Can you think of another one?
I don't want to tee it up.
Who else?
I'm trying to think of teams.
All time.
All time.
What about belt the ass?
Michael Irv.
Julio Jones.
Oh, my goodness.
Big who?
Man, bro, he was special, bro.
Yeah, I'm tripping.
Big who.
Bro, his highlight, his rookie highlight tape is crazy.
Bro, he crazy, period.
Bro.
It's crazy.
He's crazy.
Bro, he's crazy, bro.
But listen, when people do, when people talk about receivers and I hear what you just
said.
It's because he's so quiet off the field.
He don't talk, yeah.
At all.
Who don't talk?
Yeah.
At all.
But like, I hear what you're saying about, like, guys don't mention Larry Fitzgerald in
in the top, top ten.
Yeah.
I don't know why.
That boy got the best hands.
Ever.
Ever.
Ever.
The only reason why they probably don't mention them because.
You weren't flashy.
He wasn't flashy.
And, you know, Arizona wasn't winning as well.
much.
Man, Arizona was dominating.
Bruce Arrian was there.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But after Bruce left, it kind of went, you know, sideways.
Yeah, but, but, bro, even at Pittsburgh, Larry Fitzgerald was doing some wild shit.
For sure.
In college.
Bro.
He was tripping.
Bro.
You see his tape.
He's nuts.
One of one tape.
He's nuts.
He was crazy.
He's nuts.
Magnes.
Don't drop nothing.
Bro.
Nothing.
He catches everything.
And you know what?
Like, I had a, I remember having a DVD, bro.
I had a coach, give me a DVD with, like, all, like, practice.
film of Larry Fitzgerald.
It's like a DVD.
It's like a DVD.
You're showing your age.
Oh, I was just like, yeah, chill out of like, I was just like his practice tapes, game reps
and all that shit, bro.
And this dude was doing the one hand stuff, bro, like.
See, I can't do that, bro.
Yeah, I know.
I couldn't eat grip the ball.
That's a pee-wee ball.
Yeah, I know, bro.
Yeah, I don't know.
That's crazy.
Listen, I'm not going to say with a test, but you know, we'll take some pitches.
So I'm noticing like, the ball keeps slipping.
So I'm like, damn, brother, what's?
size you weren't glad?
You're like, I was a smear.
I was a smear.
Bro, my hand, little.
Yeah, yeah, that's crazy, bro.
We still add.
Yeah, no, you still grabbing that.
Yeah, no, 100%.
And we speaking on, you know,
the wire receivers, you know,
you mentioned your top 10.
Can you explain, tell us how,
how was it playing with Odell?
You know, Louisiana native,
Louisiana boy, you know what I'm saying?
Like, how was it?
He really just showed me, like,
he gave you motivation, though.
I ain't go a lot.
He's like, hey, that's what I want this year.
This is what I want to see you do.
Like, take care of your body, do this.
Like, he really was a vet for me, for real.
Like, he took care of me off the field.
He took care of me on the field.
Anything I needed off the field, I could hit him.
Anything I needed on the field, that it was right there.
Like, every time he got treatment, he's like, hey, I'm doing this.
You want to come do this?
And I ain't have to pay nothing.
Yeah.
You feel me?
Like, he really just.
It free as me.
Yeah.
I'm there.
But, no, he really took care of me, though.
I ain't going to lie.
All the vets that came through so far, they treated me how they're supposed to.
Man, Shay, you're going to be the vet in the room this, you know what I'm saying?
Moving forward, man, you're ready to, you know, are you ready for that?
Hey, my action is going to be playing.
100%.
You feel me?
I take care of the young ones now.
Like, I talk to him and hang out with him.
Like, one of them, their birthday was this week.
I hung out with him the whole weekend.
That's what's up.
His family was there.
I hung out with him.
He's like, you feel me, take a video with it.
Yeah.
But, you feel me?
I'm like the same way.
I take care of people.
Yeah, you feel like it's important to, like, you know, pay it forward, right?
Like, you know, guys did it for you, right?
You feel like it's important.
That's an important thing.
Absolutely.
Yeah, no, that's what's up.
And I got little brothers too, bro, so it's like, if you're younger than me,
it's just going to be natural for me to do it.
No matter if you, on the practice squad, no matter if you're on the team.
Like, it's just going to be, that's just who I am.
Yeah, man.
That's awesome, man.
And I'm excited to see Leader Zay.
You know what I'm saying?
I don't know if I'm going to be talking about.
Oh, buy sample is fine.
But, like, you know, I think this year is, like, really going to be the first year.
Like, you know, obviously outside of being a guy, but, like, you're like, to me,
will be the only guy in the room, right?
You know what I'm saying?
As far as, like, they have the credibility, right?
Yeah, they got the credentials that actually could, when you speak, people going to listen, right?
You know what I'm saying?
It ain't nothing wrong with being a quiet leader, right?
But when you do speak, people, people are going to listen.
People are going to pay attention to what you got to say.
So, you know, leading by example.
is a great way to start.
And then, you know, eventually, you know.
I seen video.
You were in the classroom.
I'm going to cut up.
If I don't like something, I'm, honestly, bro, let me tell you what it was.
Like, just so we get the record straight, bro.
When I got to Cleveland, like I said, like, there was nobody taking care of soft tissue,
whatever it is.
So when I got the, you remember Corey Coleman?
Yeah.
Corey Coleman was like the first round draft pick that was there, right?
But obviously since, you know, they had been there, Josh.
Gore was there, you know what I'm saying?
Like, it still wasn't winning games.
So when I got there, you know, you do the conditioning test the first day of training
camp or whatever it is, then you come back the next day after you pass all your physicals
and stuff like that, then you go to practice.
Yeah.
Man, we do the, we run, run like, I'm talking about like some shuttles, like 60 yards shuttles,
bro, like some, some week, like week, you know what I'm saying?
Just make sure we good.
Next day, he boys talking about, man, my hamstring hurt.
I can't practice.
I'm like, bro, it's day one.
day two like you ain't excited for this shit like I go to the training room the trainer like
yeah you know we got four receivers down I'm like four receivers down you right there dolo
man everybody tied ball man look Adam Henry Adam Henry I had him at LSU yeah Adam Henry he had
at O'Dell at in New York Adam here is you know now he's in in the room and I'm like bro you know
these boys not practicing and he was like yeah I talked to the you know talk to the
trainers I'm like he started meeting I'm just like you know what turn that shit
off bro and I just popped up and it it wasn't even new like I honestly blacked out
like I thought I didn't even think that like oh we're on hard nights there's cameras in here
and none of that I was just like bro like all it is like we shit bro like it cannot be and
and for maybe for your receiver room too right like bro like you got to go set the standard
like you know what I'm saying like if the standard is low we're gonna perform low we're gonna
practice low, you know what I'm saying?
Like we're gonna rehab low, you know what I mean?
Like that shit contagious, bro.
It is.
If guys we look up to are not keeping the standard up,
then what's the guy that's looking at him gonna do?
Yeah, same thing.
He gonna do the same shit.
We're not winning games, bro.
Like, y'all don't see this as a problem.
So I say what I said, whatever it is.
Next day, you know, shout out to them,
the boys day of practice, right?
You know, so I respect that, you know what I mean?
But at the same time, it was like, man,
And it's day one, bro.
Yeah.
Like, what you're talking about?
You mean you talking?
Yeah, for sure.
For real?
Yeah.
Like, I go, like, it depends.
Like, if I'm quiet, you know it's a problem.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
So, but also, it goes on your team, you draft to you, right?
And I understand, like, a lot of guys be, you know, technically first round picks,
but they're not cut from the same plot as us.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, my only problem sometimes with that, like, you draft somebody,
and they come from a losing school.
They have that losing mentality.
Like, it's okay to lose, right?
So I had to kind of check myself
when I first came in the NFL
because maybe I'm trying to win as much as I can,
but you do the...
You do the research.
Now that you do the research,
maybe he's on his last year of his contract, right?
Yeah.
He's not tripping.
This might be his last contract he ever gets.
So win or lose, he's trying to get that money.
Yeah.
So it's always different in everybody's eyes.
Like, everybody don't come from winning.
So if you're not used of it and you're trying to draft something,
you draft a guy that's not used to that,
I don't know if you can change that mentality of that person.
Man, how you feel about that?
You feel like you could, you feel like.
Shit, me.
You feel like you could, I ain't saying trying to change somebody mentality, right,
or get somebody to work hard, but like, you feel like, you know,
a guy that, let's say, was on a losing team, right?
I was on losing team.
Right, right.
I'm sure when you walked into the Ravens organization, right, you see the history,
you see the Ray Lewis, Air Reeds of the world, you know, the standard, right?
Like, did you feel like, not pressure, but did you feel like, damn, like, no.
Yeah, I was mad.
Because I was losing so much in college, brother.
I would lose it four years straight.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like, most games I won with six.
Right.
I'm mad.
Now, I get there.
We go winning 14th for nine, never trying to lose again.
100%.
For sure.
Yeah, once you get a taste of it, like blood in the water.
What?
Yeah.
I do the most wins I ever had.
Yeah, no, I feel you.
I feel you.
I ain't never trying to lose again, bro, so we're going to do it.
We got to do.
No, I feel you.
That's how it was kind of at LSU, too.
Like, where, like, and that's how also, again, to the Cleveland thing.
Like, it was like that where it's, like, you're going into a situation where these boys
comfortable losing.
Yeah.
Like, they're comfortable practicing at a low level.
Like, they're comfortable, like, sitting out, missing days, whatever it is, man.
Like, you know, I'm like, come up.
Coming up, you train with TA, right, for, for, since you was in six, seven, eight grade, right?
Like, I'm sure even that mentality for you, like, started then, like, of, like, having that, like, that grit that, like, compete to win, like, win just out here, half-assing no rep.
Like, we're coming out here and we're taking every rep serious.
Like, can you talk about, like, your relationship with TA?
And then also how it applies to today inside of your receiver room, right?
Like, you, I'm sure you're the first in line when individuals, right?
Like, that's the same how I was.
Like, oh, it's like that too.
Like, now, I ain't, you want leaders leave from the front.
Like, I'm about to pop it off and, like, I'm going hard on the first rep so everybody
behind me, no, like, this the tone for the day.
Yeah.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
You like that, too?
Hell yeah.
I'm going first every time.
100%.
But me and TA, me and TA started, like, like, eighth, ninth grade, TA, um, he used to do our condition and stuff,
like, footwork and stuff for, um, high school.
And I used to always tell, hey, TA, stay out to do some part.
returns with me real quick.
Like, do some of this with me real quick.
And we'll do it.
And then I start, and then I start going to them.
And then probably like my junior year, I really like, I started, I started playing Kona.
I went, I played Kona.
Yeah, bro, listen.
Watch this.
Oh, you get your head, master there.
I know you one.
What?
Listen, no.
I went for, I played Kona and receiving.
I ain't get off the field.
But I had more offers at Kona than I had at Receive.
I went to Boston College to play Kona.
So when I, when I'm, when I'm training.
with TA during this time I'm going from cornerback to receiver cornerback to receiver
doing corner back drill to going receiver drills and kept doing that got to be got to bc first day they
they had me at corner like moving a little bit and then the next day the coach like let me let me see
play receiver like they go do some stuff and I went out there it was over without yeah never
coming back never went back never went that never went back so like is it speaking on your high
school career what you would you what you was a you a one-star
Two star, three star?
Someone had me two, but rivals had me three, I think.
But most of the schools that gave me offers was like, all right, you got the offer,
but if he commit, you ain't got the offer.
Oh, hell no.
Yeah.
What the fuck?
What?
Yeah, like, if we're going to take him over you, basically.
Yeah, you know what?
I was right like, $1,200 in college.
They regret that, no.
On God.
They regret that, no.
Yeah.
So, just looking back on that, do you think the recruiting services, like, did they help you
or they didn't understand you were still developing as a player.
They didn't understand that I was still developing.
But in high school, bro, I was still getting off.
Like, normal.
Yeah.
Like 800 receiving, 10 touchdowns.
So what's a, what's a-
Three picks.
In the game?
No, three, four picks on the year.
In season, yeah, always.
Like, 10-pads breakups.
Yeah, that's hard.
Like, I'm hooping.
So what's-I-but I was just love?
What's a normal, what's normal Zay Flowers' high school game?
Like, what, give me some stats.
Normal high school game.
I probably scored one or two times.
Okay.
One or two times.
Okay.
Mandatory.
Probably like five catches and 100 yards.
Mandatory.
Oh, he's getting busy.
No, 100.
Five catches and 100 yards.
Like, if I'm going to have a good day,
five catches and a hundred yards.
On defense, I'm going to have like two or three pass breakups.
And I'm guarding the best player.
And the receivers down here at the time was the best players in the country.
Lit.
Right.
Right.
No catches.
No touchdown on me the whole year.
Hey.
I had one touchdown throwing on me.
It was a pick.
The referee gave it to him because he had a ball on hand.
He was touching the ball.
Yeah.
And he was the number one receiver in our class.
I play him two years, he had one catch.
What's the name?
No, I can't do that.
I can't do that to my dog.
I can't do that to it.
But I really strapping, bro.
That's crazy.
Yeah.
Man, it was always, it's always something crazy about Florida receivers though, bro.
You're like, y'all got that thing in your knee or, like, in your ankle or something, bro.
Where, like, that shit, not.
Like, what is that, bro?
It's not real, bro.
That shit in the blood down here.
Bro, I'm like, how does boy stop him in one step?
So, this question we must ask.
every time Louisiana football.
Don't ask me that.
Nonsense.
Nonsense?
What do you mean nonsense?
Oh, Louisiana, that?
We coming with it like that?
Y'all nice, but don't ask me that, bro.
Well, y'all are bigger than us, though.
And what?
You gotta think.
Y'all state is bigger than ours.
Talk about, talking about.
South Florida stop at West Palm Beach.
South Florida stop at West Palm Beach.
So it's an area.
Don't say the state.
It's an area.
Yeah, you're gonna get one out of here,
you feel me, from Orlando.
Yeah.
Tyler Hap.
Oh, we're not counting all that though.
Brough.
Brough.
Pompano.
Pompano.
Right.
Brow.
Yeah, bro.
So you're saying, so you, so you, so you, so if that was an all-time football game between Miami versus Louisiana, you're saying, it'd be a good game.
Yeah, but you feel me?
No.
No, no, no.
What the fuck are.
What are you?
Yes or no?
What I'm taking, I'm taking down here?
ticket down here is you crazy?
I don't know.
I don't know.
So we're going to build an all-floater squad.
I need a all-flotter.
You got receivers and you run it back.
What?
We got Ed Reed.
Okay.
That came to the youth.
Ray Lewis.
We got.
We got paid manning.
We got old.
Dionne Sanders.
All right,
he can't go out of all of us.
He's talking about.
He's about Pian-Manning.
He can't go out of him.
He can't go out of him.
No, I think it'll be a good game.
It'll be, it'll be a good game.
It'll be a good game.
It'll be a good game.
It'll be a good game.
It'll be a good game.
We're asking, we asking Florida guests because, you know, it's been a debate.
It's been a debate for years.
You know what I'm saying?
What?
What y'all like, three, four?
What?
Y'all behind, like, Cali and shit.
They ain't in Texas.
Yeah, but they five times, eight times bigger than us.
That's true.
That's true.
You know what I'm saying?
Per capita?
What is it?
Per capita or whatever it is?
Like, we producing some.
No, y'all for sure.
Yeah.
What y'all got a lot right now?
Jets, neighbors.
The top three receivers right now, money-wise, are, or, or, are.
Louisiana.
CDLAM.
CDLAM.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, no.
So.
I ain't never said y'all weren't producing that, but y'all ain't, you see what I mean?
Yeah.
No, I feel you.
I feel you.
I always knew Florida to be like, more like speed about speed.
And like Louisiana, I feel like we was like, you know, a good.
If y'all got one, y'all got one.
You see what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Like, we would put, we'll put a lot out there.
But if y'all got one, you got one, like.
Yeah.
Man, did you watch, I want to ask you this, did you watch the flag football?
The game?
Yeah.
Yeah.
What you thought about?
The team of USA?
They should have had you all, though, bro.
They should have, like, the real, the people that, you feel
me, that can move for flat football, like that.
Right, right, right.
But them boys, they're talking like,
they really just beat, like, the best players
in the league right, right, right, right.
You feel me?
Half of the team, half of the team USA, though,
like, what was mostly like some Florida guys.
Yeah, and a lot of New Orleans guys.
A lot of Louisiana guys.
So, like, you know, when you put them two together.
We got to play seven-on-seven then.
We ain't playing the football.
But we ain't got the old line.
That's what you're telling for both states.
We ain't got the old line.
100% flag for football.
We got to go 7-07, man.
I'm with it.
Hey, Mike Rubin, we need that Louisiana versus Florida matchup right now, today.
Right, but some of the old guys can't play, though, like, yeah, read them, we're done.
No, they're finished.
They're finished.
We don't need.
We're going to have to play both sides then.
That's fine.
I'm with it.
That's fine.
No, no, no, it ain't fine.
I'm going to take that back.
I'm going to take that back.
That shit hard.
Man, my thing was, like, you know, like what you said, like, that you said,
like they thought that they handled it like they played like you know the pat certains of the world
you feel me like that i think it would have been a much different game you know what i'm saying
having you got jess you got chase out there you got a tian at running back you got light at tight end
or something you got me like yeah way different game we got two quarterbacks in that safety right
we got two quarterbacks on the field at one time you know what i'm saying opposed to having you got
ell and joe borough out there just ain't say i just ell by himself you're going going crazy he
They're going to rush him.
Come on, now.
But I think also dealing with flag, you got to have that background.
Of pulling.
Not even that, but playing two hands touching a lot.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, yeah.
I don't think a lot of those guys persist grew up playing that.
Yeah.
You know, having that in you.
We say, killer man.
Yeah, yeah, facts.
Throw them up, bust them up.
What?
We call it murder ball.
What?
Throw that big, look, look.
We haven't been hit the ground.
If that a bounce in, then you go get it.
Pitch up tackle.
That's who we call it.
No, but 100%, man.
But like, they were to play them, you feelin' me?
Yeah, yeah, I think it's a way different.
Yeah, me too, man, me too.
I think they were more just to get like more attention,
like names, just to have fun.
Yeah, I think they're gonna open it up a little bit more.
No, they're supposed to be starting to lead,
yeah, they're starting the lead, that's all about to say, man.
Yeah, because I kind of throw a little pitch, like,
instead of, you know, doing the NFL, how about all the guys
that went to college with each other?
Well, BC, y'all probably get your ass for.
But I think LSU we got a good chance.
Yeah, just saying.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And, well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis.
And I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast,
I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris.
Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay.
Jenchian won.
I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lena Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well,
Good luck.
Consider this your court side seat to the French Open.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
No, that's what I'm saying, man, like,
obviously we talked about Lamar, you know, we joke about, like, you know,
he did the boxing thing recently as well.
I go boxing with him.
You go boxing?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I beat up with two times a week.
You like it?
Yeah, we do it for conditioning, build our shoulders, get our shoulders strong.
Yeah.
They give us the heavier gloves.
So it's working on like all different type of muscles.
Rear delts.
Yeah.
Help you run fast.
You don't probably just build that calis them up a little bit.
Like your balance.
Because like it's a way different balance.
Like you use a different part of your feet.
So when you're standing in it, it's like the whole inside of your foot hurting.
Yeah.
Do you do that power in ways you never thought?
Yeah.
Do you do anything outside of that as far as?
like getting ready, things that translate to the game, right?
I do Pilates.
Pilates?
Because you work on your core.
So when I'm stopping and going, you know, you're using your core most of the time.
When you're breaking to come back, I do some Pilates.
Yeah, Pilates, boxing.
Yeah.
What about swimming?
You do any swimming?
I do workout.
Like pool.
Like pool workouts, yeah.
And then I hit the hill.
I hit the hill like four times a week.
That's the way.
Yeah.
The hill is the way.
I hit the hill.
That's the secret sauce.
Yeah.
Build at speed.
Yeah.
I go run my routes on there.
I've seen you before
Yeah, I go.
Helmut on and everything.
Yeah, I go do everything on the hill.
Yeah, visit.
That's my speed workout.
I won't even,
sometimes I won't even go to a coach.
I just go hit the hill by myself.
Hit it like 15, 20 times.
No, that's what's up, bro.
Man, it's something, man, that worth that thing there that you're talking about,
like, I call it the unseen journey.
Like, how often do you go out without a coach
or without somebody watching you and just go in, like.
The only thing I don't do with a coach,
the only thing I do with a coach is,
Lift.
That's it.
That's it.
T.A.
Sometimes I go without T.A.
I'll be in the front yard running routes.
And Jay throwing you the,
Jay throwing me the rock.
Jay can't throw, man.
Hey, shit, long as the ball in the aisle.
Hey, let's go.
If it's to me, I like it.
We're good.
But most, a lot of the time, I go hit the hill by myself.
I run routes out there.
Cameraman be throwing the ball.
Or I be in the front yard, Jay throwing the ball.
I'm in the waiting room sometimes by myself.
Like, it just depends on how I'm feeling.
Yeah.
What I'm going to do that.
I'm going to do something.
Did that work after it come from pops?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I like that.
Older brothers,
Pops.
Dan,
to me telling myself,
like,
I ain't from the,
I ain't going to,
I got a stick assistant.
Yeah.
No,
100%.
So,
so you guys probably heading back
to OTA soon,
right?
Yeah,
on Monday.
On Monday.
On Monday.
You've been training
this whole all season
between here,
Florida,
I mean,
Florida,
Baltimore.
Yeah.
Um, um, um, what, what, being that you've been here, have you been throwing with Lamar, training
with Lamar?
I train him every day.
Every day.
Yeah.
No, I go early.
He ain't really an early person, but I'm pulling up to the crib, blow the horn.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Call his phone, call his phone, get three calls.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
But we, you feel me, I don't really start running to like, we went closer to like, really, really going.
Training camp.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like, because I know if I'm going to OTA, we're going to run a little bit of routes.
Footwork.
always gonna be there oh you feel me on I just wait I just wait until and that I
really go yeah no I for sure and speaking on Lamar like I love everything about Lamar
game right yeah what are some of like the misconceptions people get of him that like
people that like they don't know him personally right and I and sometimes when you know
you scrolled on his pay you see people just talking shit like yeah I'm like damn like crazy
and I hate I hate how fans do that when you don't even know him personally right you're
speaking about him speaking on him how he cares itself like that's what
how he carry yourself.
Yeah, but how he carried yourself,
that will make Lamar Lamar.
MVP.
Yeah, they think he don't care because he,
but he ain't shown up the OTAs,
and they think he's missing out on money or what.
Money don't run, L.
Like, how he thinks.
He don't really care about that.
El all into God.
Like, he's big on God, bro.
Like, this is what he's supposed to do,
this is what he's supposed to be at.
This is how you feel.
El going to do everything that he thinks he's supposed to do.
Like, he read the Bible every day,
We talk about this every day.
I love that.
Like how people view him.
It's like, oh, he don't care about the team.
He don't do this.
Nah, it's just he knows he's not to take care of himself.
Like, because nobody else ain't going to take care of you.
Like, in our sport, nobody, they just want you to go.
Yeah.
So he's going to take care of his stuff before anything.
He's going to take care of his mental.
He's going to do everything he needs to do to be himself and get ready for the season.
He know what he need to do.
I love that.
Yeah, no, that's what's up, man.
That's what's up.
And I'm happy, like, y'all got that, like, brotherhood, bro, like, you know, and it's important.
and it's even better that he the quarterback and you to receive.
It's even better.
Like, can you talk about, like, you know, y'all got, I know when I play with Baker,
like we kind of had like a little look, you know what I'm saying?
He'll call to play with Lita Hutter and I, like, tap him on the hip or something.
Like, tap him on the butt.
Do you do that?
You got any of that with Lamar?
It's unspoken language.
Unspoken.
Unspoken.
I'm like, sign language.
He's like, car, Jared, if you ain't open the first time,
just run around.
Like, that one back there.
If you ever watch, bro, I'm just out there doing all type.
like breaking this way he running this way I'm breaking this way they're like get in
Fage I'm running this way he's throwing that bitch I swear and then we'll get to the sideline
if it's man to man or something I'm like hey cut they got him on me like I got you yeah look
give a sign throw it I swear man I love that man I love that man but me and him really like
you said like it's backyard football bro like that's what we so used to so our mind
low key on the same thing because soon as it break down I'm getting out of there yeah
Some people will just keep like
Looking to see what he's about to do
And he'll tell you
I'm already gone
That's our scope versus Steelers
Let's make it happen
I'm already gone
By the time anybody else broke on the field
Bro I was already running to the end zone
Gone
Go on
I love that
I love that y'all got that chemistry
And you can see it
It's evident that like
When you watch
You guys played
That like he's looking for you on them plays
Yeah
You already know where to go
Find your spot
Whatever it is
He can throw any paths
100%
Go to the what
And people don't think this man could throw.
It's crazy.
And I'm like, how many times does he have to, like, prove himself?
Bro, this man has 4,100 yards with full interceptions.
Come on, bro.
And the best quarterbacks in the league that they're talking about.
15 interceptions.
Come on.
Come on.
What are we talking about?
This man ain't have enough.
He only think he had a season with 10 interceptions.
Right.
Obviously, in my eyes, you know, I believe he should have won MVP multiple times more times than when he won.
No, I don't care.
I'm gonna say it.
You're talking about the Josh Allen one.
Yeah, he should have, yeah.
That's his MVP, bro.
Yeah.
That's his, bro.
He should have won.
He should have won.
He probably gonna see this say on hate him, but come on.
No, no, you're calling it.
You call it spade and space.
And, you know, we're speaking back on, like, faith and family, right?
I know you have a scripture tattered on you, you know, for your family members that passed in your life, you know.
And we on Bible study every Wednesday, right?
Bigging to God.
grew up Baptist.
Bigging to God.
What scripture you have?
Psalm 23.
Yes, sir.
Same thing, boy.
Right here, too.
100%.
You said you ain't even know
you were tired.
We literally locked in.
Oh, God.
I got it in the same spot.
And can you,
for those at home
that don't know the scripture,
can you read it to us
and explain it while you have it?
It's like, even though I walk
through the Valley of Shadow Death
after you know evil.
Yes, sir.
And I got it because my old buddy
he used to always say,
bro, it don't matter who out there,
like, be yourself.
Like, don't feel no.
nobody like and and that was his favorite scriptures he used to tell us to it he'd tell me all the time
just he just read it to us and just read it to us and the only person you should fear is god 100%
so everything i do that's the only person i'm afraid and only fear god bro so every time i sell
die you the smallest one don't matter it don't mean nothing it don't mean nothing don't matter
don't matter it don't mean it don't mean they didn't have a rock yeah you're in me yeah
it don't matter at all yeah i love that man but me me de hand ell we all go to bible study
every Tuesday during season.
That's what's up.
Like chapel.
Chapel every Sunday.
Yeah.
Before the game.
And guess what?
You don't get that.
The main.
No, your main guys don't know.
The main guys.
Yeah, you don't get that.
Yeah.
That's awesome, man.
Like, keep,
man, keep that fate, man.
Keep that.
I know you guys will.
And we'll encourage you guys, man.
And keep on doing that and bringing more people to, to chapel, Bible study, man.
Just people hearing this, man.
Again, like, this whole, this whole show, bro, it gave me even more insight on
like, like, who you are.
Like I felt like I know you now.
I feel like I know even more, right?
You know what I'm saying?
So like I'm excited for you guys, bro.
And I guess my last question would just really be like, you know,
what would a championship mean to the city of Baltimore, right?
Like what would it mean to, you know, a guy like Lamar Jackson who's been there, right?
Who's been trying to get it done, you know, yourself, right?
Like what would it mean to, you know, the Ray Lewis's and the Terrell Suggs
and the guys that came before you, right,
that are still part of the organization in some way,
like, what do you feel like it would mean to the city of Bemore?
I mean, for the city, you know, it's an all-black city.
Yes, sir.
It's, like, struggle out there.
Like, you know how it is in Baltimore.
Like, y'all probably been there, seen it.
Shit was like the murder capital for a lot of time.
Yeah, yeah.
So it's like, you feel me, the only thing,
this was crazy.
Like, the only time the crime went down is when they won a Super Bowl.
Sound like the Saints.
Mm-hmm.
The only time the crime went down was when they won a Super Bowl.
Super Bowl and like you could tell though because they show love no matter where you go
eat at no matter if it's a restaurant in the hood you feel me like you're straight
they're all the hope yeah we safe like you're good like you ain't got nothing to
worry about so that that'd be that'll be what the city need yeah what about for you what
it means to you being a being a year and win so much in college don't lesdie when that
bus you're outside 30 to me straight oh my god nah that's something I'm chasing my whole
Like, not chasing that specifically, but that's just going to put like the icing on top.
That's a childhood dream we all dreamed of though.
Yeah.
So it put it like, I don't even know how to explain it.
It'll like, it ain't going to be the end of it for me, but it's going to be like.
You, fuck around cry.
Yeah.
Confetti falling from the sky.
But for Elle, that'll solidify him want to be the best.
That's one of the best.
And he deserved it, right?
Yeah.
Even before you got here, right, this is some different subject.
I told your officer, like, if you were, like, if you were the best, you know,
was probably five, nine, six, six foot, you'll be a top, top, top five draft pick for sure.
Yeah.
Easy, bro.
You felt that way?
That's what.
Do you feel like that, though?
Do I feel like that right now?
Even with my height right now?
Yeah.
Yeah, I feel like I should be.
But, like, you know, they want to see a big receiver one.
They want to see somebody that's tall.
Right.
But you also, like, you're changing the game for, like, what first round receiver,
prototypical, you know, and as the game.
is changing as well, right?
But like, you're changing the game as just being like, this is a player that's on the
board that we have to grab.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, regardless of height, size speed, whatever it is, right?
Like, this is a player that's going to come in and change our organization, right?
And, like, you are part of that, like, that wave, right?
In this, in what the game is transitioning.
You spoke about defense not really being as big and offense is kind of being the thing now.
Like, bro, you really are part of that wave, like, shit.
he liked that.
We might not be able to...
I'd rather play with him than play against him.
Yeah.
True.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, so, again, like, you've been dealing with the hype comments for...
Since you probably was...
Can't even let it bother me now.
It's like, I don't hurt all of the jokes.
Everything.
Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
Now you got to come guard me.
Period.
Now you got to play ball.
Yeah.
Come face that problem.
You feel me?
Yeah.
Look, don't tell me he lined up in that slot.
Oh, yeah.
It's too much room.
Separation.
Too much room.
We're going to get separation everywhere, inside, outside.
So just picking back on this year, right?
You know, you know, obviously, Shador, you know, he's coming into itself right now, being who he is.
You know, that's the QB1 supposedly.
And I'm going to rough up with some feathers right now.
But I got the Browns, though.
You say winning the division.
Yeah, I got the Browns.
He told me that before you got here.
And I was like, what?
Like, all right, what's your thought on that, right?
You know, y'all, y'all, former OC is over there.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
But, but as of right now,
Leroy is mine, I got the Browns.
Winning the division.
You don't believe it.
Look, Shadour in number two instead of number 12 now.
Okay.
You know, maybe it's...
Don't mean your ass can't get sacked
because you change numbers.
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
That's your pick.
That's my pick.
That's my pick.
That's my pick.
I'm gonna stay out of it.
Hey, they'll do better than they did last year.
Yeah, man, I hope so.
All the best to Tom Monkey, man.
Yeah, all the best.
Yeah, man, as you see other guys in your-
I can't believe you.
Hey, right, this guy's crazy.
He's crazy.
It's crazy.
When you see other guys in your class
that was either drafted before you,
drafted after you, like, what's that, what's that,
feeling like, you know, whether they, you know, having success or do you have, like,
not animosity, but like some type of like, I got to go do mine.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like, JSN, bro, loki, my class is really tough, though.
Like, we're receivers.
We had the best receiver class ever.
JSA, me, hookah.
Stop it.
Like, I know, I ain't trying to compete with your class.
Okay, okay.
But I'm saying, don't be no big club.
No, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
They have their OD, though.
They class OD.
No, talk about that.
Talk about that.
My class is like, nobody don't really talk about my class
being OD at receiver, though.
Talk about that.
Talk about that.
We got some dogs, though.
Like, me, George Addison.
Joe Addison behind Jet, so he ain't going to get the same spot like he should.
I'm looking forward to him coming up this year, though.
What, Carlybeck, though?
We had Quinn.
Quinn played better this year.
Who?
Quinn Johnson.
Chargers, number one.
Oh, one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
He played better.
Sam, Puka.
Like, we had some.
Yeah.
You feel me?
Our class was straight.
They were saying our class was weak.
when it was coming out.
Yeah.
No, y'all are the next,
y'all are really the way.
Then talk three and separation.
Me, Puga, and J.S.N.
Yeah.
No, y'all.
That's a lot of categories
that us three lead in the lead right now.
Yeah.
I ain't mad.
Yack.
Yack.
Separation.
Separation.
Yeah, all the next gen stats.
One-on-one.
100%.
100%.
I love it,
I love it.
Pop it.
Pop it.
You feel me?
Listen, listen.
Before we leave,
I got access, right?
I hope it ain't the dumb as the Brown's question,
That was WMU?
What?
So I've never been putting a situation, right?
And I know a lot of people want to know, you know, after the fumble,
like I can only imagine, you know what I'm saying?
Like, I think I probably fumbled three times in the NFL.
Yeah.
Right?
But the fumble you had and now you've been on the show and me understanding the play you all,
you love winning, how did that shit like change your mindset of like,
man I owe myself so much shit
I owe this team for that right
yeah so can you can you go into the process of
of that whole fucking play
that whole plea bro yes
so I want to lean in there
I had a I had a um
shallow so you know on the shallow
he um Schnee was saying outside
yeah he was sent outside
feel me I'm looking at where I got to go I'm like all right
because if his man
he um I'm gonna try to make a run over top
Yep.
But if it's zone, I know he'll probably just pass me off and let the other shadow come.
So I worked towards him first.
I worked towards him.
And he like turned all the, bro.
He turned through the end zone.
Like I flipped him.
Yep.
I'm like, oh, I got him.
So when I'm running across, when he throw it, I kind of like slow down, like, to catch it.
Like, I thought I was going to catch it on the move and just running the end zone.
So when I catch it to slow down, I slow down a little bit.
You feel me?
I catch it and I get up field right now.
Yeah.
So I see number 32.
I think it was Bolton, 32, and I see somebody else, the safety.
So I'm like, I ain't about to run head on to the, you feel me?
I'm not, these boys going to.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was going to fuck me anyway.
Like, if I just run head on and just crash out into both of them.
Yeah, right.
I'm not getting in the end zone.
So I'm like, so when I'm running, usually when you dive in the end zone, what everybody do, they like, if you are already in the end zone, like, yeah, just go like that.
So when I dove, both of them, like, like, like, you're going to be in the end zone.
Like, kind of like push.
Yeah, they ease up.
But Sneed coming from the side.
You ain't gonna see him.
Like, I seen them.
So when I dive and I see him like this,
so you can see me start to turn like this a little bit.
But the motherfucker's so tall that when he went to tackle me normal,
he tackled my whole body.
He hit the ball.
Like, he went punching for the ball.
Right.
Like, he just tackled me.
Like, he just wrapped around me,
and the ball just slipped out my hand.
Came up.
Damn, bro.
And I'm like, but we have four more possessions after that.
Yeah.
And you scored after that.
I'm not my second you I had 1 30 yeah yeah I'm I think I was at the game we had we had
four more possessions after that we got to the red zone two of them possessions and Dan scope
jeez you feel me so it's like I can't you can't you can say it I did it but like but it just
looked like that because we got to the last red zone on the last possession kick the field go yeah
so that made it 1710 now it's like oh damn it could have been this it could have been that
you feel me yeah like that shit as always yeah so it's like but at first I'm like damn like
Like, Cah, that's not on you, Cud.
You feel me?
But if you're a winner, you're going to say it's on you.
Yeah, for sure.
Did you leave that game feeling like it was on you?
Hell yeah.
Yeah.
Hell yeah.
You know the internet going to blow it up.
Oh, if you were to score.
But I'm like, bro, we have four, five more possessions after this play.
Yeah.
And that was the first play of the four quarter.
Right.
And that get lost in translation because it's like the clickbait thing, right?
Yeah.
They take what they want, that piece that they want to show or make it bigger than
what it is like it like you got to think them boys ain't the chiefs ain't score in the second half period
they ain't scoring the second half yeah like we couldn't school the whole second half is that why
you got a little bit more animosity to yeah yeah you gotta get that lick back I'm gonna get my lip back
he needed 100% I got to 100% I got to 100% I'm like you can look at it either way bro like
you can say it's my fault yeah or you can look at it as a whole thing
We couldn't scold.
Yeah.
We had seven points the whole game.
Bro, I scored in the first quarter.
Yeah.
We ain't put up no bone points after that.
Which is crazy.
Which is crazy.
The cheese put up 17 in the first quarter and ain't scored no more points.
And we got to the red zone six times.
And nothing in school, not.
Well, field goal happens.
That's it.
Yeah.
Sound like we need to be making some changes upstairs, you know, at some point.
You feel me?
Like, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Y'all can put it on me, though.

Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick.
and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it, but, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.

Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an acapella
with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

who knows what he's doing.
How many men carry a suit or armor.
It signals to the world that you're not to be played with.
And just because you have the capability
that does not mean that you need to,
listen to learn the hard way on the IHard radio app,
Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
This is an IHart podcast.
