Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an IHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
Starting point is 00:00:12 We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
Starting point is 00:00:30 you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the ice. Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where SportsSlice comes in. I'm Timbo, and every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headline. And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear. Listen to SportsSlic on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:34 And for more, follow Timbo Slicalife-Life 12 in the TikTok podcast network on TikTok. I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever reported on. A Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman. Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud. But how long can this alliance last? Tell me what you're. know is somebody coming after me listen to kingdom of fraud on the iHeart radio app apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts the volume another championship fight you and shone o'malley for the second
Starting point is 00:02:22 time after you beat umar did you know it would be shan o'malley after i beat umar i wanted to be busy and uh yeah shonomal was another option maybe uh after peterian and uh uh uh uh Yeah, I was thinking maybe either Piteriano or either Shono Marley and the UFC tell me to it's Shono Mali, Pateriano was supposed to fight somebody else. And yeah, I'm happy. I'm happy I have another fight coming up. Even I already fought him. It's a new fight, new challenge for me.
Starting point is 00:02:57 And, you know, of course he wants to avenge his loss back and he will fix his mistake. He's been working to get better every level, even strong. striking, wrestling, grappling, and it's going to be another challenge for us. Hey, I had a kid going to your gym, and you knocked them down, bro. Why? You punched the guy's stomach. Who? I watched a video.
Starting point is 00:03:20 One of my guys, one of my wrestling guys goes into your gym. Nice enough to give you rounds, and you punches. Why do you do this? Why did you do this to him, Rob? We was just fine. But you killed it. Why are you killing me? No, like my mind.
Starting point is 00:03:36 My body shot got better and I was testing, you know. So you tested on him? Yeah, I guess, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I saw the video, man. Yeah. Oh, yeah. So yeah. So maybe like you need to answer to me now. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:03:53 You're too strong. Let's talk about your last fight a little bit before we go forward. First two rounds, Omar's fighting great. Yes. Right? He's fighting really good. Seems like he won the first two rounds. are you aware that it's not going as well as you wanted? And what was the thought?
Starting point is 00:04:10 Because in that third round, you kind of, you changed completely, right? You were more successful in the takedowns. The pressure was even higher. Like, what did you make of that performance? For me, even first two round was like close rounds. It was close. Yeah, I don't know which way it was going to go, but I was positive. And like we know, I know, like, my coaches know.
Starting point is 00:04:34 told me too, like after the first rounds, you'll be just keep doing your thing, it would be easy. And I was just keep doing my thing. And then he literally slowly, you know, he was slowly, slowly a little bit breaking, and he was himself. And I was even, as rounds goes more on, I'm getting even better, yes. And then I think I show everybody this time.
Starting point is 00:04:58 And yeah, I, you know, I think one time I got him good body punch too. but I see his face change and then I was going to go after, but he shoot me and he still, even he was tired, he was still moving and doing okay. How much can you apply from, how much can you take from that fight and apply it to this fight? Right?
Starting point is 00:05:22 Because you have a more motivated Sean O'Malley, but Umar's a high level striker, Sean O'Malley doesn't have the wrestling that Umar has. How much can you take from that fight and apply it to this one to make sure that you not only beat Sholomali, but you beat him in a more impressive way. I thought you won five or four rounds in the first fight. How do you do it better?
Starting point is 00:05:48 I'm not sure what I can take from the Umar's fight to this fight, but yeah, just I get more comfortable, like just more competence, so I can fight any, any, any style of the fight. there again and then nobody can do shit. And so, but Omari fight, it's a new challenge, like I said. You know, I'm sure he's been working to stop me. And I believe I'm a better fighter than him, but I still have to respect his power,
Starting point is 00:06:28 his reach, his speed. And it's a new fight, new challenge, you know, not. every fight goes same way. You know, you had rematches before. Me, many. Yeah, and it can play out. This fight different, this fight, different. And that's why I'm trying to take this fight serious,
Starting point is 00:06:46 and it's a new challenge for me. It's a new fight, and I'm looking forward to it. I think I fought 15 times in the UFC. Seven were against three people. Wow. I fought the same guys over and over and over again. Yeah, it's fucked up, man. It's a new fight, right?
Starting point is 00:07:02 Yeah, it was like every... But it was always the same guys, like rematch, rematch, trilogy match, like always the same. Marabot's worrisome though. If you're a fan of Marab Du Wallace Willie, I saw a quote the other day that you said, the motivation is not as easily gained to fight O'Malley again. Why is that? And how do you make sure that you're motivated to fight a guy that is motivated to fight you? Yeah, so like when I fight first time new opponent, it's easy to be motivated because you have a new challenge, you never fought him.
Starting point is 00:07:37 And in your eyes, you respect him so much. And it's a new challenge and you more white look, his dangerous skills. But when you already beat him, it's not easy to treat him as a dangerous. But see, that's dangerous in that thought, though, no more out. That's not dangerous thought? Like, I know I can beat him. But you just said it's a new challenge. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:04 So if you're not motivated to go fight a guy that you, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's dangerous. I agree. That's why I'm like, I'm putting extra motivate myself to know this guy is dangerous. This guy hits hard. And this guy will change stuff. And then that's why I motivate myself all this time. And, yeah, so like I said, beginning, it was hard to motivate myself.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I already beat him because, but I have enough motivation to be motivated, be focused, and I realize all the danger. And now I done training camp everything what I was supposed to do. You know, I prepare very good. And, you know, then this fight, I'm going to look for finish him, and I'm looking for giving him more damage. But Rob, were you surprised at anything? in the first fight with Shona Ovali?
Starting point is 00:08:57 Because like you said, you make him into a monster. Like this guy hits hard, he's fast, and it's reached. And then you beat him in the way that you did. Like, were you surprised at anything in there? I was surprised, yes, like how easy I was winning this fight. And I was surprised how this guy beat my friend Al Jemai Stanley. And I also watched the fight and I can hear your commentate too. Like, you was also surprised too, like how easy was able to do.
Starting point is 00:09:24 You were taking him down easier than that. easier than I thought. Yes. But he said he was hurt in that fight. Yeah, it's bullshit. It's bullshit. Said he had surgery after that, Rob? No, listen, I did two times after the fight surgery,
Starting point is 00:09:40 but I still win the fight, you know? But we all have some problems in fight or some old injury, something like that. But if really something serious, we're not fight. But if something- Especially as the champion. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:54 You know, if you're able to training, if you're able to fight, and then it doesn't mean that it's serious. But if it's serious, you do surgery. And then if something you can do surgery later, this, you know. So no, yeah, that's how I was surprised, but like what I say earlier, so, you know, he has a knack of power and he can, everybody can get knocked down. Did he crack you in the fifth round? Not cry, I'm not going to say, crack me, but he, like, he, like, he, like, he, he can, he,
Starting point is 00:10:24 let me feel his, like, first time I felt his body kick. And then if he landed me like two more clean like this, then maybe it can be a problem, you know? That's why I like, when he got me with the body kick, I'm like, fuck, like, I was just two minutes earlier. I was holding him down. But because of the referee told me, move, do something. I let him get up.
Starting point is 00:10:52 I should not let him go. You can't listen to the referee, Marat. I mean, I know how are you not going to listen to the referee? Because what's you going to do? The worst he can do is pick you up, you don't let him go. Thank you. So that's good advice. I used to tell me this he twice before.
Starting point is 00:11:08 So what happened was I take him down in a foot round. I was punching. And referee told me, fighters, move, do something. And I changed the position. I let him come a little bit up. And I was punching. And he told me something. And I let go.
Starting point is 00:11:20 What should I do? You go fucking. Just like, punch him in, look at the room, go, fuck you. And you're all like, let him go. Why? Like, you let him go. Yeah, you help me to take him down. Right? Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:11:36 So, and after I was chasing to take him down, and he was defending him, like, he was pulling up legs. Yeah. And it was hard to take him down a few times after, like, after, let me go. And then the body kick comes, And then I'm like, I should try to finish him early. Like, why I play with him?
Starting point is 00:11:57 I was mad about myself. And, yeah, that's how I play. And so, yeah, I said he let me fault the body kick. And after I was, yeah, so just I was like mad about myself why I should finish him. Well, Rob, two questions before we're done. One is about Sean O'Malley. He's made some changes, right?
Starting point is 00:12:22 One of the biggest things that I took, I went to your house after that fight, and you were running on Monday. And that to me was like, wow, this guy thinks different. Most of us go on a victory tour. We rest, we drink, the alcohol, you know, we hang out. You were running getting ready. He said that because he knows now he's preparing for a different person. Now, he doesn't smoke. He doesn't travel.
Starting point is 00:12:49 He's eliminated so many things in his life. how much can he change and how much do you expect him to be different inside the octagon, right? Because now he's eliminated a lot of the things that can be seen as distractions, right? Party and going out, doing all this stuff. Now he's not doing that because of you
Starting point is 00:13:10 because he knows he has to be better to be you. Yes. This all stuff will help him for sure. But does it make much of a difference when it's a change opposed to it being just your life? It's what you live every day. You've never strayed from that.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Yeah, you're right. You know, you have to balance your life in a little bit. You cannot be like, I don't know. Let's see. I mean, if he enjoys now this different lifestyle and maybe that shows how much he wants to just win and maybe it was distraction, who knows? I'm sure it's going to affect him, like, good ways,
Starting point is 00:13:49 and it's going to help, like, focus. and be mentally more ready, I think. And I think even if he lost again, he will tell him himself, hey, I try my best. I think that's how I look. But my job is to expect him in the best way. Marab, you spent 25 minutes with this man. Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Can this man present a problem for you inside an octagon? Do you feel like you just can beat Sean O'Malley? I think I can beat him, but now I give him too much respect, like I'm fighting first time, and that's my job to don't look him easy. But, yeah, of course, he has a knuckle power. He's very small, his speed. I cannot relax or make any mistake with him, you know. Marab, you've been living life, having fun.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Yes. Became the champ, travel. You've had some great moments. Can I tell you my favorite Marab moment? Yes, for sure. Paris. Paris? Oh.
Starting point is 00:14:58 There. You mentioned some interior with this, right? Yeah, this is the interview I said. I said, this is a man, Rob. Why are you, why are you asked, can I touch this? This is my favorite Maraam moment about my life. You know, I see, you know, it's, I don't know how.
Starting point is 00:15:18 So, yeah, she all the time. She all the time twerk. Yeah, talk and, yeah. So I said, I guess I was able to slap her ass to. Can I touch this? This is the greatest thing. Because all men think this, right? I know you're married, but...
Starting point is 00:15:35 Yeah, all men think this. If you're not married... Bound! Yeah! Get I touched that, Miro? Can I touch that? I mean, come on, man. It's NBA finals time, and the boy D.C.

Starting point is 00:17:01 Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, name? Huge news. We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
Starting point is 00:17:13 We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band. Before Jonas Brothers was...
Starting point is 00:17:36 This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, for people could call in and say, hey Jonas, and then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Starting point is 00:17:53 Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
Starting point is 00:18:12 This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:18:29 or wherever you get your podcasts. The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis, and I know firsthand because I competed there myself. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs' tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening. happening at Roland Garris, every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay. Jenchian win. I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
Starting point is 00:18:55 She's an outsider to win the French for me. And she likes Clay. Listen, Lina Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can win on any surface. Because if she's serving, well, good luck. Consider this your court-side seat to the French Open. Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the IHeart Radio app. Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Welcome to my new podcast, Learn the Hard Way with me, your host, and your favorite therapist, Keer Games. And in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field and conversations with so many incredible guests. I'm talking, Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark. Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing and we're still chasing it and we don't know when we've done enough
Starting point is 00:19:48 because people scoreboard watch life becomes about wins and losses Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth or are you a good person because you're afraid? Because that's two different intentions, bro. Absolutely. And that's two different levels of trust. I want you to just really be a good person.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Join me, Kear Gaines, is we have real conversations about healing, growth, fatherhood, pressure, and purpose on my new podcast, Learn the Hardway. Open your free iHeartRadio app, search Learn the Hardway and listen now. No, he knows. He knows he's a toolbox.
Starting point is 00:20:24 No, he's very aware. We have a bet going right now, actually. You and Henry? Yeah. What is it? We bet years ago before I ever signed with UFC, we bet and Khabib was there, Habib was there, a bunch of guys were there,
Starting point is 00:20:40 and he was talking shit about. about judo versus wrestling and talking about how he's the greatest combat athlete of all time. And I said, listen, I can't believe you've never seen this clip because Habib says something so funny. OK, someone find that clip. So I was like, all right, listen, I'll bet you 100 anytime pushups that when I'm a two-time Olympic champion,
Starting point is 00:21:04 I'm going to win the PFL belt twice, I'm going to come over to the UFC, I'm going to win the UFC belt, I'm going to defend the belt, and then I'm going to be the greatest combat athlete of all. all time. I was like when I do and he didn't want to take the bet didn't want to take it so far I was like all right I bet you a thousand any time pushups a thousand pushups for me and you only have to give me a hundred pushups and then finally he took the about so you get 10 to one odds uh-huh and then he said all right all right I'll take your bet but and then he turned to
Starting point is 00:21:27 Habib and he was like who's the greatest combat athlete of all time right now I can't believe you ever seen this and Habib goes Daniel Kormi! Show him oh it was so funny that's my boy right there who's the greatest combat athlete of all time right now The only good is combat athlete of all time right now. Currently. I just started to share. Daniel Cormier. No, now you know.
Starting point is 00:21:50 If you don't know, now you know. Oh, Ali. Ali wants you bad, man. Like, I mean, it's... It's... No, he's... No, he's... ...a stage five clinger right now.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Ali is? Oh yeah. Well, you know. Yeah. I'm about to be the champ, so of course. He starts clinging all. Alibaba. I got like new Gucci shoes. I got all kinds of stuff.
Starting point is 00:22:10 That is the best. It's good. Guys, I'm here with Kayla Harrison. Sorry. For the UFC Bannonly Championship this weekend. All that we're talking about, right, while we're talking about it and it's funny, it's all true, right? It's all true. You have won two Olympic gold medals.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Yeah. You have won the PFL championship. Yep. You've won everywhere you've been. You're now here in the UFC and you're already on the verge of a title. Yeah. How does it feel getting to a moment that you not only predicted, but so many expected? Now, that is where it gets difficult.
Starting point is 00:22:41 I mean, I think that having all of this experience that I have, having years of competing on the biggest stages in the world has prepared me and sort of helps me to learn that that's all noise. And like, none of that matters, you know? Like, I do this because I love it. I do it because I want to. I do it because it's my dream. The outside pressure is, you know, I mean,
Starting point is 00:23:07 no one had ever won an Olympic gold medal before. So, like, being in the finals of an Olympic medal, match and knowing that no one ever someone had one silver someone had one bronze but nobody had ever won gold like that's that's a different kind of pressure oh my god yeah um Kayla we have all kind of almost anointed you as the champ the moment you got here right everybody started talking about it you have to win some fights to to finally get this opportunity um juliana Pena gets the belt back in that fight against Raquel Pennington.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Did you think that she won that fight? Or did you think Raquel won that fight? I didn't give the fight to her. After going back and watching it, I thought that Raquel won the fight, but, you know, I'm not a judge, so. So, and I ask you this, you're in the back. Chale and I have had a field deal with this.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Have you? You're in the back. Chale is not my biggest fan, by the way. He'd be talking a lot of shit about me. He loves you. Does he? He constantly puts you over. Does he?
Starting point is 00:24:08 Yes. Are you sure? I swear to God. Because when I see him, we're going to have worse. It's one of the crazy, like he just does it every time. He puts you over constantly. But what we had a field day with is you're in the back. Yeah. They show me, right? It's a layup. Yeah. She knows, sells you and calls on Amanda. She doesn't call for me.
Starting point is 00:24:24 What did you make of that? I mean, I don't, I mean, I, I attest that to insecurity. Like, I'm the unknown, right? I'm like this big, scary unknown. She's fought Amanda before, twice. She knows. The second one went very bad. It did go very bad, but I don't, I think that she still knows what she can she's like I've beaten her I can do it you know so um or it could have just been like that was what she had in her mind to say so that's what she said even though I feel like the fight to make was her and I and here we are and yes and it's made and the reason there's so much hype behind it is because of who you are and who she is in fighting there was an opportunity to make it bigger in that moment yeah because you could have stormed to the cage you could have
Starting point is 00:25:08 I kind of was like, yeah, I kind of wanted to. First of all, I didn't know where I was in the arena. It's a little bit of a maze back there, but yeah, it would have been good. That would have been the greatest visual. She goes, Kayla Harrison, you just fought, I just became a world champion. Get your ass on it. You come charging to the ring. Dude, that would have been so sick.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Like the ultimate warrior? Yeah. That would have been sick. It would have been the craziest. Everybody already thinks on Brock Lesner. Now you're going to have me doing some shit like this. craziest thing ever. We would have popped so loud
Starting point is 00:25:41 and it would have been amazing, but the fight still has that hype. The other day we ran a feature of you two face-to-face, you're talking. Juliana almost wants to give you the pressure. Yeah. It felt, it, no, the pressure
Starting point is 00:25:54 is on Kayla. No, she did say that. She's like, I've got nothing to lose. And I'm like, well, except a world title. I mean, I just don't really understand Giuliana. She throws a lot of shit out there. Like, it's a lot of spaghetti. at the wall and a lot of like, you know, everywhere from like, she's on steroids to she's a weight
Starting point is 00:26:15 bully, she needs a walking taco to all the pressures on her. What's she going to do? How's she going to, you know, she going to lay on me? And I'm like, I just, it kind of screams insecurity to me. Yeah. Like I have three dogs and, you know, I have a big mastiff. I have a medium husky and then I have this little chihuahua. And the chihuahua sounds vicious. You know, he's playing with the other dogs and he's, and he's the most harmless of them all. He's just a little yapper, you know? So you think all the talking is?
Starting point is 00:26:48 Yeah, I think. Put the, give off the idea of strength, knowing that underneath it's a little bit uncertain. For sure. Yeah. But at the end of the day, she's the world champion two times. She is. Right?
Starting point is 00:27:01 She is. So when you are breaking her down and looking at her skill for skill, Yeah. What do you see in Juliana Payton? Honest answer, Kayla. I see heart. I see heart. I see fire.
Starting point is 00:27:17 You know, I think that her best attribute as an athlete is she's a fighter. Like, she is a fighter. She's not going to give up. She's not going to quit. It's not the prettiest. But she's going to keep coming forward, and she's going to try and find a way, you know. But I think that I'm better everywhere. I think that I'm the bigger, faster, stronger,
Starting point is 00:27:39 I think that now I have quite a bit of experience under my belt. I think that I'm a better striker. I think that I'm a better grappler. And I'm prepared to, you know, she's a fighter, but I'm a fighter too. I've been fighting my whole damn life. You know, like forget, forget inside of a cage or on a mat. I've been fighting my whole life. So if she thinks that, like, she's some David,
Starting point is 00:28:03 and I'm Goliath, she's got it wrong. Yeah. How much did you learn in that last fight? fight or the takedowns didn't come as easy so much as you may have anticipated against Ketland yeah no I think it was really good for me I was disappointed you know in my performance just because I'm initially I was disappointed because I'm a perfectionist and I want to go out there and dominate and instill my will but I think it was good to see kind of how girls at this level are gonna try and
Starting point is 00:28:31 combat the grappling it felt like it felt like it felt like she was doing a good job of defending earlier. Yeah. Even in the commentary, I was talking about it, like when you would level change, you're having difficulties getting up to her body. Yeah. Right?
Starting point is 00:28:46 Like that's because in judo, right, you guys use a lot of trips and throws from up top. I think she was doing a better job of defending at the body, right? And I mean, I think she was really defensive, you know? That's another thing.
Starting point is 00:28:59 It's like, it's hard to, you know, you know how it is. Like if, take somebody down with all they don't want to do is getting down. When they're just not trying, when they're not trying to win, they're just trying not to lose.
Starting point is 00:29:07 it's hard to get in there and make shit happen. But it was a really good learning experience for me. And those are the moments where it's like, all right, then let your hands go. Like, let your hands go. And guess what? What happens when you let your hands go? Their hands go up?
Starting point is 00:29:21 You can take them down. And you controlled that first round very, very easy. It was later when she got more slippery. Yeah. She was a big strong girl, too. I know everybody would be talking how big, Kayla is so big. She just had to fight at 1.45. I'm like, there's a reason for.
Starting point is 00:29:37 for that, dude. She's big. Juliana's actually going to fight, though. So you think that it's going to give you more openings to take her to the mat? How do you see this fight ending on Saturday night? Can you finish Juliana Payne? I'd like to. You know, I'm prepared for 25 hard minutes, but the goal is always to go out there and KO, TKO, or submission. If I have my perfect world, I would love to, I think, just, you know, put some elbows through her head, through her forehead and end on a TKO. I remember the first time you learned that you could elbow and PFL, how excited you were.
Starting point is 00:30:07 like, oh, this lady's violent. You were like, oh, my God, I can an elbow now? It's such a huge weapon in the sport. And then you remember how bad you bloodied up the girl right after? Yeah, that shit was nasty. No, that's when I was like, oh, I've fought half my career without a very important weapon. Yeah. Like, this is, yeah, I love it.
Starting point is 00:30:24 All right, last one before I let you go. Obviously, I have to ask this question. Here we go. What is it? I know. It's the Amanda Nunez's question. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Yeah. So. Yes, I want to fight her. Yes, I hope she comes back. No, I'm not overlooking Juliana. Okay. You don't get better at something by not doing it. Right?
Starting point is 00:30:41 Mm-hmm. You don't get better at something by not doing it. Yeah. How does Amanda expect to be who she was being off for two years? Obviously, we don't know the extent to which she was training. I heard that her gym closed. I heard that they closed that gym, so I don't know what she would be doing for training. But, again, you don't get better at something by not doing it.
Starting point is 00:31:02 If Amanda does come back, like what Amanda Nunes, would you guys experience? expect. And would you want that in the next fight after Juliana Payton? Yeah, for sure. I think that this has been my dream for a long time as like be UFC champion. Fight Amanda. And it was never anything negative. Like, it's just that she's the greatest of all time. And to me, that's the highest honor I can give you. I'm like, look, dude, like you are, you're it. You're her. I want to be you. That's why I moved to Florida to train with you. You know, like if you want to be the best, you have to train with the best. And I think that, you know, it doesn't really matter.
Starting point is 00:31:41 I think that now is my time. I think that I am. She could be the man that had destroyed Hollyholm and it won't matter because you're ready. I think now's my time. When you're the best in the world, you're the best in the world and it doesn't matter. Hey, guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
