Man, I've been joined the offseason, as you can see, you know, so just got back from Dubai, you know, me and the wife, and I met my boy Sue out there and his wife and his kids, man. We had a great time, man. Sight seeing. Never been to Dubai, man. Flight was long. I'm talking my long long, like 19 hours long, went to sleep, woke up, went to sleep again, still wasn't there. I don't even know what to do. You know, I almost brought my video game on the plane, but wife told me not to bring my game because she wanted to spend quality time. I almost still snooking on the plane, though, but I did do good by it, though. I did good. I didn't do it, man. I didn't do it, man. I didn't do it, man. I got a little workout down now. You know, I said, I got a workout.

I got to be ready, man. OTA is getting ready to come up soon. You're looking forward to it, man, meet some of my new teammates and everything, but all season has been treated me very well, man. I can't, I can't lie right now. Catching up my kids, catching some games. My sister's been having amazing track meets, man. She's doing an amazing job right now. So I'm doing the big thing of doing a supporting my family right now. And, man, I've been missing y'all, man.

So I had a lot to tell y'all, man. But it's been a lot going on, too, as well, as y'all know, as y'all can tell. So let's get straight to it. I know what y'all waiting to hear. I know what y'all want to hear. And I need to hear to explain to y'all. That's why I'm here for, man. So y'all can learn the business and how the professionals thing work, man.

How this NFL thing work? So, as y'all saw, I did get released. Yes, and that's because the situation was my cap. My cap was very high. I had leverage as a DB, as a guy that got a big cap. And for me to knock the cap down, I wanted this tension. So we find a way to make things work, you know, I said. It was not a beef thing.

It was nothing going on like it was a problem Anything it was none of that and all I wanted was out the thing was out the deal was just to have a nice second year guaranteed money You know got to secure my future you know what I'm saying even though I made a lot of money in this game I've still played to secure myself so uh we had came up with an idea Figure it out man and and What's crazy this part is the media world the outside world Some Eagles fans and some Eagles reporters and all that stuff y'all was all wrong like i don't know what came out about about me being the highest paid

corner i never wanted to be the highest paid corner on i wanted is all the thing i wanted was guaranteed money in my second year of the deal if you do a deal or anything like that so like that's the part i want to get and everybody kept saying oh slays being greedy slave wanted to be the highest played perry at 32 uh-da-da even though i'm playing as one of the best corners in the lead it's still no i understand the business now i'm 32 years old people don't want to pay 32 year old corners, but honestly, you still could because we, this is a whole new generation. Guys come up off ACLs in six months, like 20 years ago, it took people a year and a half to come back from ACL.

And the guys just turning ACLs and coming right back and like it ain't nothing. Like people still, so technology that got better, you know, so training got better. So your body healed different now because technology is too much good now. It's too good for us right now. In my case, I've never been injured. Let's knock on wood. But I'm just sitting saying I am not a normal. a 32-year-old guy, though. This is different. I'm pretty damn good at what I do. But the situation

was I was making $17 million. So I said, hey, I wanted some extra money into my second year. So that's why me, you know, Howie, as he's a great GM, we came up with an idea, hey, find a way to get me an extension and still making my money 17 plus some extra money in my second year. So we got it done. You know what I'm saying? We got it done. I'm here. I'm here. for three more years, you know, with two years guaranteed to be playing. So that's what I wanted. You know what I'm saying? That the third year be whatever it is, you know, at a time, you know.

So, but I got what I wanted. They got what they wanted. And, you know, we're good. So Eagles fans and all your reporters, I was not trying to be the highest paid. I wasn't trying to be no selfish player. Y'all, y'all got to stop that. Y'all got to stop that. I'm all for the people.

I'm all for what's right. I know how this business go. And that's the story I needed to tell y'all, man. I've been waiting to tell y'all that, but I was on my trip to Dubai, and I ain't want to get out there. But one thing y'all almost didn't know now, almost, I was almost this close of Baltimore Raven. I was this close, this close. But, you know, I wanted to be an eagle. I stayed at Eagle because I know me and how we're going to figure something out.

But the Baltimore Ravens was the first team that called, and they offered just what I wanted. And I just said, hey, the Eagles do that. I'm a stay eagle. So it was nice now, man. Almost was a raven. I was almost a different bird. And in this situation, man, you know, 10 years in, a lot of guys kept wondering, like, you know, family, even family called me. Like, Slay you okay, man.

Slay you, is you stressed? Like, like, because technically I've never been cutting my life before, never been nothing, whatever, but size trading and stuff. So I'm like, yes, I'm amazing. Like, you know what I'm saying? I'm blessed. And to be honest. I'm a humble dude, but as I'm now today, I think if you look it up, I'm probably the highest paid corner and contract money ever. I think, like, y'all got to go look it up.

Y'all go check my book, man, but I think I might be the highest paid corner ever with contract money. I've not seen four contracts, and they've been pretty damn big. And, yeah, I think I made history, man, but want to be one of the most highest paid cornerbacks in contract money. So will I be stressing? No, I won't be stressing. But yeah, man, I'm in a great business. Great business, man. I'm in a great position, man.

The Lord put me in a great position. So I'm feeling dang good. Can't stress about that. Now that I'm locked in, let's talk about that additions we got and the loss we have. Man, there have been some guys, man. I got some guys I'm going to be missing out of the field, man. Hardgrave.

Well, a well-deserved contract, man. Pro-bow player. Should have been pro-bo and all pro this year. I don't know what happened. I don't know what's going on. That's just wild to me. He got with, I think he had 11 or maybe 12 sacks, and, you know, going crazy, unstoppable, you know, got him a big deal.

I know he with, Eagles fan, I know he was San Fran. I know they beefing with us now, but that's going to always be my dog. He'll be my dog. He'll be my dog all way up to that game. We play him. And him little three hours, we got that playing again. So he's not going to be my dog for us. I'm through a little bit of three hours.

But after that three hours in, the game goes zero, zero. I'm dapper my dog up. Congratulations him, him good game. Or however the game go, you know, we plan on whipping him. But, you know, However that goes, but that's always my dude, man, hard grade, man. We came in together with the 2020 class. You know, I got traded over here.

He got brought over there in the free agency. So that's my dude, man. That's my right hand, man. We talk every often, man. He was debating on, you know, us in San Fran, man, San Fran. He put the more money into him. So he'd go on there with a great defense as well. So he leaves one great defense to go to another great defense.

Well coach, you know, so another dog over there. He got a defensive player the year he's playing with over there. Now he don't play with two tight. with guy that was up for the defensive player of the year. So that's big for him. You know, so, and man, that's big. You know, we lost Chauncey, man. Great guy, man.

Six interception, leading interception of the year, co-leader. And he's going over to Detroit, man. Hey, Chonson, you need anything in Detroit? Let me know, man. That's my other home, man. Been there seven years and Epps. You keep doing your thing, Eps, man. Do your thing over there in Oakland, man.

You're close to Cali. Like, he wanted to be close to home. So, man, hey, ball out, man. I be watching over here, man. And on us. you know how are we doing some great jobs man he got some great signings coming in man we just got the safety man got got my boy edmund and i know i've been knowing him pretty well you know we got greedy you know i thought greedy was going to be with me in detroit you know what i'm saying he was

supposed to be number one corner coming out at that time i think he went he went second round but uh the first corner came out the board was baker and i thought he's been to fall to us because we needed a corner at the time so i'm like okay he might follow us man uh and no detroit was on him pretty hard but they ain't grab him but uh i get a chance to work with him now man We know we hit each other up. And so we go give it forward to him, man. I'm helping him try to reach his potential, man, help him be the way he can because I'm 32 years old.

I ain't trying to play forever. So I need somebody to replace me. So I got to get these guys, young guys, right, and getting going, you know. So I've been looking at the signs, man. We've got some great linebackers come in too, man. You know, we had to replace TJ. TJ was a dog. He deserved a contract.

You know what I'm saying? So it's going to be crazy, man. And people think we're in the rebuild mode. We really not. You know what I'm saying? We got a lot of great solid players. We got straight leaders We brought Fletch back

So they got me back They got J.B back You know what I'm saying Yeah man We still going Offense gonna still be strong Very strong man We still got Reddick

You know what I'm saying Still got sweat BG came back So we got a lot of guys That still there We still got the core of the defense So it's all about character And leadership

Man and I know for sure Me Fletch and BG Go lead his defense in the right way And we'll get going man So Eagles fans Don't be worried Don't be worried man We're going to get the goal

So in my release situation, when I tell y'all, I was this close to signing to the Ravens, I had to ask what was what was up with Lamar before I even get there, you know what I said? hit some guys up that I know that play for them guys.

And I like, man, what y'all doing, Lamar? And, you know, now we three weeks later, my boy don't ask for a trade. Like, look, Baltimore. Y'all got to figure it out over there, man. That's a MVP. Let's go, man. Let's get his man paid, man. I can't tell you what I would do in his shoes.

But I know a lot of guys would be like, oh, he need a hole out, not play. I can't do that. I got kids. So I'm not missing the season, you know what I'm saying? You know, for some little bit, some money. But I do command him to do what's best for his family and I guess and his self. And that's what his self want to do. If his self need to sit out to get what he deserved, he need to do that because he's worth every penny.

You know, an MVP at this level, man, won plenty games. Been to the playoffs, man. It's kind of just mind-blowing that a lot of organizations not even trying to take a hand on it. And I heard what the Atlanta owner said about him, just saying like, hey, how are getting hurt outside of the pocket? and stuff like that. I've been playing for a long time. Lamar ain't been getting, he don't get hit outside the pocket.

Nobody really tackles him outside that pocket. So I don't know what film he's looking at or what he's disgusting with other people or information he's receiving because obviously he's not watching film because, yeah, nobody don't really tackle that man in open field. But, hey, he need to do what's best for him and his family, but big play.

I would not be sitting out. I got to get a check. Come on, man, I got to feed these kids. They ain't going to feed their sales. I see the owners had an owner's meeting this week, and I'm thinking they going to get stuff solved. You know what I'm saying? I'm thinking stuff will just get better, man.

You know, owners meeting we used to talk about some money, you know what I'm saying, increase the money or something. These dudes, done trying to add a second Thursday night game. What is we coming to? Can we get rid of the Thursday night? I thought we were trying to get rid of that. Now y'all are really trying to make it bad now. First of all, y'all want to add a,

another Thursday night game, but y'all don't want to add an extra buy week. Y'all don't want to pay us another week for free. Boy, y'all are something else. That ain't kicking it. I ain't with that. Y'all need to let the NFL and the players decide on this because another Thursday night game, come on now. I can understand like add another Monday night game or something. Monday night's cool. Thursday? Come on, man. It's already be hard. Come on, man. Thumbs down to that. We don't need to be doing that. Come on our NFL. Please own us. Come on. Get that. right now y'all did all right with getting at into zero bringing zero to the world but a thursday night game we bring a Thursday night game you better add another buy week come on y'all y'all add another

game no adage your bi week now you're trying to add a Thursday game another and y'all be always talking about player safety like come on man y'all y'all just put me y'all just make me laugh at stuff like that like i don't you don't believe in player safety for real at another thursday night game with all these injuries that be going on y'all don't even want to get rid of turf yet Y'all don't want to give us all grass yet. People still got turf fields. Like, we need to get rid of turp. Y'all are not trying to do no justice over here.

Y'all just what it is. Throw the pads on, throw the hammers on, go out here and play. Let me give y'all an example of this right here. Sunday, we played distillers before our Thursday night game. Went crazy. Had a crazy game. AJ went monster crazy. Then we come back four days later to play the Texans.

I don't like to disrespect, you know, team organizations, but We had a hard time trying to beat them guys Even though it's a solid team That was a great defense and great all that kind of stuff But we was a team that was in the Super Bowl And we just had a shootout with the Chiefs And Who

Coming from that on the Thursday game I ain't gonna lie to y'all Thursday night game really before The teams that's kind of like Above average They can beat a great team Because the fact that What make a team that's kind of great is preparation

You know what I'm saying We don't got that much preparation. It's kind of like, who it's just up in the air. It's just like playing where I call hotball. That's what we do back in my house. In my hometown, we play hotball. That's when you throw the ball,

no game playing. Everybody just run around, you know, or set go. Everybody just make up their own routes. Stuff like that. That's how I go, because that's how we do it. You know what I'm saying?

We're just kind of just throwing it all together. You don't get to go over the game plan you just had against the still of watching stuff you can correct to help you while that other team is watching your mistakes. You know what I'm saying? So we don't have time. you corrected, but yeah, man, get rid of that. Get rid of that.

We won't, if the NFL won't great, a great show, let's get a whole week. Please and thank you. Oh, plus a day, you know, on a Monday night games, but a whole week worth. Now you're going to do it for two games. Not going to work. Kill it. And another thing that came up in the owners meetings that they don't want to review roughing the passing calls.

I think they should, my opinion, because a lot of games have been close. And ruffing the pass is one of the things that's kind of be. Blowing games. Y'all don't find the way to challenge pass interference. And most of the time y'all doing that is just for DPI, not OPI, because I don't recall, not nobody went in an OPI conversation. Like it's always been DPI, DPI, if it was a DPI. And close calls be here, close calls in there.

When you slow it down for a DPI, it's going to be a DPI every time. But if you slow it down for a doggone rough in the passer, you go tell if it's really truly rough in the passer. And that's what makes this game really an awesome. offensive lead. They want to continue to keep giving offenses, these great opportunities to keep scoring points, but they don't care about putting the defense in a bad situation

right here. Like, it's hard already to come up and tackle a quarterback and laying him down softly. Now y'all still going to try to make it hard. Man, come on, man. Y'all don't care about the DBs. Passing fairness, we get called out for everything. Like, come on, man, y'all got to make it fair. At least give us some defense

effort. Like, come on, jump on the defensive side. There's a lot of guys down on that board should be defensive players. Y'all want to see all these doggone points to get scored. That's why people don't like the game that much. Nah. Come on, man. Bring this defense back, man, because that's a big call, man, and a lot of teams lost a lot of games and some stuff like that, man. I played in the game

in Detroit, man, and Trey Flyers got two bad call penalties with that and cost us the game. We were going to be A. Rod and Lambo. Big time. I'm talking about big time. I have my boy Trey crying, and he has a

emotional dude, and he didn't even get close to touching his face or touching anything about them, man, but man, yeah, we got to get that fixed, man. Y'all think it should be a reviewable call. We need to make that happen, man. But hope it come on. I hope it come, but it looked like it's not going to happen, y'all.
