Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

The volume.
What's up, everybody, man?
It's your boy, Big Play Slay here.
And of course, I am back like I said I would.
With a good dog, man.
3 and O, man.
Got to go to Tampa, man.
Good week.
Good week for me overall, man.
Great, great week.
I'm talking my play Thursday.
Got some extra days, y'all.
Play Monday night.
So you see us getting these prime time games.
Now, we're getting a lot of prime time action.
right now. But I got a good recovery. I got to get me a golf session in this week. You know what I'm saying? So it's
been great. So then I get to go to Tampa closely where I'm from almost down there. I'm down there by
the Florida area. No, Brunswick, Georgia's right down there, man. So I got to saw a lot of family.
I got to kick it with a lot of my good friends, man. Went to hang out. Man, so I had a solid week,
man. So I knew this game was going to be a great feeling for me, man, because it felt like a home
game for me. So, man, it was just a blessing. You know what I'm saying? The brother was good.
the day before the game
because the day of the game
it rained. So I'm saying like I ran for the rain
from Jersey to come to some more
rain in Florida which I was looking for some heat but
man I'm kind of below about that but other than that
Florida did nothing but good to me. Florida had been great to me
you know definitely after coming back with that dog
a lot of fans we complain about you know
we two and no we was undefeated and then like
but the two and no wasn't pretty. You know what I'm saying?
This is the NFL y'all.
The NFL anybody can be beaten
come Monday night. We
game three and no, which I think we put on a great dominance performance.
We played a lot of great defensive teams, man.
I mean, definitely the coaches.
I'm talking I got Bill Belichick, Brian Foreless for Minnesota, Todd Bulls.
Like, these are great defensive mind coaches, man, and everybody can't send him
the struggles with Jalen.
Everybody got this.
Oh, Jaylin, it looked like he's struggling.
They can't see this.
These are some great, great defensive coordinators, man.
So they go throw everything out of them, man.
Stuff that he never seen him for.
But as you see, they figure it in it.
out. You know what I'm saying? They're just trying to find the right time to take a big play
or just take the easy player. And right now it's Jalen, man, he'll go do what he do. He go figure
that junk out, man, because he'll be in the meeting. Right now, I guarantee you he's at the facility
right now learning and getting himself together. But he had a lot of great defensive coordinators
he had to go against in three weeks. I'm some of some of the best in the world to do it. So everybody
think he's having a slow start. I'm thinking he's still doing what he does, man, because if you
check him out, he had a lot of poise in the pocket this week, man. I'll talk about a lot.
Like, with some great pass rush. You know what I'm saying? Very. Very.
very great ones.
So he's back there chilling, making plays.
You see the play made across the middle with the dig and the touchdown with ZP?
That was nasty.
You know what I'm saying?
He making plays, you know?
That way he does.
He does.
He goes to find a way to make plays.
Man, he made plays with his legs.
You know what I'm saying?
He made plays with everywhere across the board, man.
So he could continue to keep growing as a player.
Of course, everybody felt like we could have did better on the office side of the ball or whatever
because we had the ball for so long dominating.
But we're aggressive offense.
You know what I'm saying?
So we make plays.
We're not scared to make plays.
Jayland not scared to make plays, AJ, whatever.
It doesn't matter.
Our offense is aggressive.
They love the win.
And you can see them running the ball.
Like, they can run the ball.
I know everybody got a lot of hype going on right now about the Swift and Kelps relationship stuff going on.
But guess what?
I'm not here to talk about Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift.
I'm here to talk about Jason Kelsey and DeAndre Swift.
The connection between them two guys, man, is just being amazing.
Jason Kelts
is the lead
single on our team
DeAndre Swift is like
the background dancer
Kels is leading the way
Swift comes through the hole
and he is dancing
he's probably the best
background
background dancer ever
To see how big the holes was
with Keltz leading
that low
leading the way of that old line
is wild
I'm talking about
dude probably was not
getting touched
for 10 to 15 yards
sometimes
I'm talking about
after contact
it's crazy
like he tried
a hurdle to do
and if y'all know
how tall Swift is
Swift is not that tall
So it's probably about 5, 8, 5, 9, and he's hurling folks.
He's putting on the clinic.
And thank you, Detroit lines.
Detroit lines.
Philly might start loving y'all, man.
Philly might love y'all because they got me from Detroit.
We got to feel like we got to realize.
He only touched the ball one time against the Patriots.
And he's a second lead in rushing the league.
Picture now if he was all three games, he got that rock like that.
Man, look here.
He might be up 500 yards right now with that kind of going on, but we're going to leave it to that man
Got a shout out to that old line, man.
We can run the ball.
We both dominating both on the ground and in the air, man.
We got great receivers around him, man.
So this is amazing.
That old line and that D line is something special.
I'm talking about these might be some of the best fat guys I ever been around.
This is the line of ours.
Look here.
I might as well play off because guys are getting back that fast.
I'm talking about.
look pressure is going crazy you see my boy fletch got him a sack you know what i'm saying
jalen carter man look here y'all know what he's on right now he's on a whole other mission right
now i'm talking about dominating the edge was and look here this is making even sound even
crazier like we dominating the game and the run game and all that but hasan reddy can't
get crazy yet you know what i'm saying well he was what second and sacks last year with 16
and he ain't got a sack yet and right now i'm talking about we still dominolea but
So this only can go up from here.
You know what I'm saying?
It's just wow.
I'm talking about really wild that our D-line is really stacked like this.
Like I guess like them like them really probably play an average of 30 plays, all of them.
You know, because it's great rotation.
Them guys come in fresh, take a breather.
Second group come in.
There's no drop-off.
I'm talking about none, none whatsoever.
And I'm just, I'm just amazed, man.
Like I've been a part of some great D-lines, but last shit was a great one.
This was a great one as well, man.
I'm like, this is getting out of hand.
And I feel for a lot of office.
is the lineman, man, because they got one of the best left
tackles in the league, too. I mean, right tackles
in the league over there in Tampa,
man, look, they were trying to get after him, too.
Like, our guys are not scared of the big money
guys that's on that old line.
Guys getting chipped every play, you know what I'm
saying? People getting chipped in a quick game.
That's how bad it is. You know what I'm saying?
It's just, wow. It's really, really crazy.
We stopped the run. I'm talking about, if you
see the safety, I know y'all saw my safety dance.
You know what I'm saying? Like, I felt like I got
back there so fast. It was like everybody was going
behind the line of scrimmage. I'm saying,
like, Jesus, I'm like, come on.
It was wow.
That safety was crazy.
Like, I don't understand why they run the ball.
You only ran the ball for like 40 yards.
I won't even play like that.
I'm like, you know, I'll just trust the quick game or something because them guys are moving people backwards.
Like, y'all got to give it up to them.
We got to be doing number one D-line team in the lead right now because them boys are very dominant, man.
Shout out to them boys, man.
I don't just know y'all saw that Jalen Carter play, man.
That punch out to my rushing the passer, come out the stack,
punch the ball out, and like straight dominance.
And that's a will of want.
He wants to do that.
Like he could have rushed the pass to left alone and just let us want us
just tackling him and get on the ground.
No, he came in there, turned the ball over and, you know what I'm saying?
Too many critical situation.
Like we got the ball back for the offense to go back up about,
they've made it 13-3 because it was going in the halftown, 10-3.
went on that 13 3
That's big time
Like very big time man
That's an effort thing
That's not a talent issue
We all know he's very talent
But he got the talent
And he got the will to want to do it
So that makes him even more dangerous
Like this man is special
Man I'm trying to tell y'all
This man is special
Like look for him for the defensive rookie
Of the year for sure easily
Already in game 3
Which is still early in the year
We still got plenty game left
But the sky's the limit for this kid man
The sky's limit for this D line
It's gonna be amazing to watch these guys
And we're not going to forget
the pass. Going to this week,
it was a lot of ups and downs
just because of the fact that one of our
star nickels go down, man. Vante
is one of the best nickels in the league.
But we had guys step up
big time. I'm talking about Sidney Brown, rookie
coming in there making plays. He had J.B. going in
for the first time. You know, then
we had guys coming in on the
outside corner. My boy Joe, I had
to play outside for a minute. Like, we
had guys step up big, man, big.
And that's what happened with us last year, man.
A lot of guys went down last year, too.
as well. You know, we lost City early.
You know, then we lost Fonte again early.
And, like, we, that's what we do. We got to have it handle adversity.
And we're doing it as a great thing, man, because we got great leaders in the room, man.
And it's very, very tough. Like I said, man, Vante is a very important piece to our defense,
man, that niggil, because he's a guy that can play nickel, safety, corner.
There's not too many guys that can do it like, hey, he can.
So, man, he could always be missed out there.
But I'm sure, you know, we got guys that's ready to prepare to go in there.
dominate and we got to just keep helping these guys get better.
And my boy Reed, Mr. Ghost himself.
With a pick, man.
I'm trying to tell y'all, we trust this man.
Everybody was always questioning when he came in last year as a rookie undrafted, man.
And everybody was like, how is he starting over a lot of guys and playing before a lot of guys?
Because we trust him, man.
That guy be in the right spot every time and does it job.
Like I've been telling y'all, you can't milk check my guy.
You can't.
You know what I'm saying?
Josh Allen, you started the milk check.
You always said the milk check, milk check, milk check.
We got a milk check that's never spoiled.
I love my dude.
That's my dude, man, ghost.
Man, I saw you see the dance moves he got, man.
I know y'all saw me hitting my little moves.
You know what I got the moves too a little bit.
So we celebrate.
That's what we do.
We love each other.
We celebrate each other.
Man, my boy, Ghost, is playing out of his mind.
I'm talking about open field tackles, running downhill.
He does a lot of things in the secondary, man.
As a young player, he's going to be talented for a long time.
He'll play a long time in his lead, man, because he does it the right way, play the right way.
And, like I said, man, it's just hard to find guys like that at a young age.
And he's one of them, definitely undrafted.
You can see that he wanted, man.
I'm thankful to be a part of him, man.
I'm thankful to him to be in a secondary with me, man.
Let me get into my matchup with Mike Evans.
One of the best to do it.
I got a lot of respect for my Evans.
Mike don't get a lot of credit for a lot of stuff he does.
Nine years, a thousand yards receiving.
Got over 10,000 yards receiving already.
That's hard to do.
do. A lot of guys can't do that. I'm talking
about a lot of guys cannot do that.
And the only reason why he getting overlooked
is because he just don't do it fancy.
So I got a lot of respect for his game. So
I went into this game, man, locked in and loaded
because he can make a lot of
plays, as you see. Like,
come on now, he had a slow start this week.
You know, he dropped a couple of balls.
You know what I'm saying? Because they were really more like
I was kind of in the way a little bit.
You know what I'm saying? I jumped one route. He might have
couldn't see it. I put my hand up. I should have had
a pick. I dropped it.
and I can't keep dropping these
because like I said, I'm trying to get to the 30 club
and if I continue to keep dropping, I'm not going to make it.
But overall, I think I played an amazing game, man.
Me and Mike was at it, man.
I think I gave up two catches for six yards
and a tub because at the end he scored it in
with a little slant rod on me.
But other than that, I play a great game.
And look, I'm a big fan of Mike.
I'm going to tell you how big of a fan I was.
When that Mike caught that one-handed catch,
it was amazing.
one of the best catches I ever seen in my life in person.
I got a front row seat.
I'm looking at it and I see Reed.
Guard him.
He contesting everything.
I'm talking about good coverage, good everything.
Mike put one hand up, snagged it,
grabbed it and stayed on his feet for a little bit and still maintain the catch.
Like, that was wild.
That's got to be top 10 sports centers, man.
Reed, don't be mad at me, man.
But I honestly became a fan.
Like I was still in the excitement mode.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
When MJ was stretching his arm out on Space Jam, how everybody was kind of like looking
and just like waiting to see if he just go in.
I just started doing the same thing.
You just saw my eye.
I was just like, is he going to catch this?
Is he going to catch this?
And he called it.
And I'm like, oh shit.
And while he was running off the field, I said, Mike, that was amazing catch.
You know, we gave each other to pound because we were real good friends.
We were real good friends.
So I said, bro, that was amazing catch.
He came back there again.
I said, bro, you caught that ball.
I still can't believe he caught that ball.
But I still was in like.
my disbelief that he caught that, but man, that just show you what type of dog is.
Tamabay, y'all got to pay my man.
It's not too many receivers like him will keep coming through y'all, you know, situation
like that, through that facility, through that organization.
So pay that man.
On the defense side of the ball, man, we got a safety, you know, a couple of turnovers.
Like, I think we probably number one in the turnover ratio right now.
That's what we pride on it, is turn on the ball over.
And do what we like to do, you know what I say?
I love to be off the field.
I think I probably played 40 plays this week.
And I'm feeling damn good after the game.
You know, usually I'd be sore, a little shoulder sore or something like that.
But not this week.
I'm feeling fresh.
I feel like I can play again, but I'm glad we're not.
I'll say that for this Sunday coming up.
But overall, man, I think we put on a very dominant performance.
And we're not done executing on a high level on a Monday night, man.
The lights was on us and everything was going, man.
So leading up to this week, man, it was just a great game plan for us, man.
We knew one thing about Tamabay.
Tamabay got a great defense.
and they've been controlling the clock
and they've been not turning the ball over.
So we knew one thing we do,
we had to outplay their defense,
we had to turn the ball over,
and we had to control the clock to beat this team.
And that's what we did, man.
We got more turnovers.
I say our defense outplayed them
because we scored, you know, so,
and then we controlled the clock.
So we did our three things we wanted to do
to get this dove,
and that's why we beat the team,
25 to 11,
because we put the whole thing together.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal,
but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have
Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball.
Like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Oh, yeah.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Let's get into this next week matchup, man.
We got the commanders coming in, man.
They just took a beating.
You know what I'm saying?
It was a rough game for them, man.
I saw the film.
I saw the highlights.
It's rough game for them guys, man.
But that's a team that can always bounce back, man.
They're a great fighting team, man.
New OC, new quarterback.
So they got a lot going on.
They trust the quarterback a lot, man.
So we're looking forward to this matchup.
Great receiver court match for a great challenge for our secondary, man.
And if y'all don't remember last year, they was running the ball.
Crazy.
That's what we got our first loss with.
Washington came in our house.
It was running the ball, man.
Had to consistently controlling the clock and dominating the game up front.
And that was one of the one times we have not dominated.
on the line of scrimmage.
So we got to answer that this coming week, man,
with our great D-line,
our great pass rush and great everything,
they got an amazing D-line as well.
But we got to answer the call this week
because they'll come in here
trying to be very, very physical, man,
and make big play.
So we got to be looking forward to that.
It'll be a great, great matchup, man,
for a one o'clock game.
My first one-clock game.
We finally not on prime time, y'all,
but we got one game this week at one o'clock.
I'm looking forward to it,
ready to get it out the way.
So I'll watch me some game at night.
I cannot end the podcast.
without talking about this.
70 points, Miami Dolphins don't score.
Like, whew, that is crazy.
For a professional team to put up 70 points is wow, wow.
You know what I'm saying?
A lot.
And I got a lot of respect for Denver, man,
because their defense is very, very good.
I got a lot of talented guys on the defense.
I'm talking my real deal, talent,
one of the best corners, some of the great rushers.
All kind of.
They got a lot of going on over there.
But to let 70 points get hung up on you, I know they ain't liking that.
You know, I got to hit my boy Kareem up.
That's my dog from the crib to see what's going on, man, because I got to check on him, man,
because that's some type of stuff.
I'll be, you know, ready to hang my cleats up and just say, this is my last day.
I ain't coming to work tomorrow, man.
Go ahead and sign my retired slip.
And I catch y'all on the flip side and enjoy this thing called life and living old, man,
you know, after the hard work.
But 70 points?
Woo!
Look here, Broncos.
I know y'all got any.
You got a lot of talent over there, man.
I believe in Russ.
I believe in the receiver core, coach over there, man.
He's a Super Bowl winning coach, man.
So they can get it together, man.
That might be just one game.
They just got to get on their belt.
They probably needed that.
Needed that good humbling experience.
But I truly believe that them guys go get it right over there, man,
because they got a lot of talent, man.
If they don't, I don't know what's going to happen.
But I can see them getting together, man.
Great core, great defense.
Let's see what they bring it to us next week.
Fans, man, I've been seeing the question.
I've been sending to the comments, man.
I appreciate it, man.
And it's one question that caught my eye.
So I got to answer this one.
How much input do I have with the coverages?
Well, I got a little bit of input, not too much because I'm a team player, man.
I trust the coaches and trust their systems.
But if it's something I do not like with me being a leader, I would really kind of like go to the D.C.
Talk to him a little bit.
Hey, coach, man.
A lot of guys don't feel comfortable doing this.
And, you know, he's a great D.C.
He listened to the players.
So sometimes, you know, he's like, all right, Slay, I'll throw it out.
Or if you like, Slay, trust it.
It's a good game plan.
Just let the guys buy into it, and we just work through it through the week.
If we don't get through it through the week, we'll throw it away.
And, you know what we're saying?
So the coach and I got a great relationship, so he understands where I'm coming from.
I understand where he's coming from.
So it's best of both worlds, man.
I can honestly say that, man.
But I do got a little input.
But at the end of the day, what the coach need to get done, I try my best to get it done.
Thanks for the questions, man.
and continue to leave them in a comment.
Your boy is paying attention.
Well, that's all I got for y'all today, man.
Thank y'all for watching.
Thank y'all for tuning in, man.
Appreciate you if you're one of y'all.
Continue to keep subscribing to your boy.
And I will see y'all after the Commanders game.
