Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Give y'all every detail.
Let y'all in the mind of an NFL ProDB, man.
I love y'all.
Y'all love me.
Please subscribe.
What's up, man?
This your boy, Bit Play Slate, and I'm back after another great dub.
man hard fought dug in the division just got a clean sweep against the uh commanders man it was a tough
well fought battle but we're done with that man but hey this has been an amazing week going on right now man
the trade deadline came up and we just acquired my boy buyer that boy's a dog one of the best
free safeties in the game i got i got him as one of the best all around guys man good good ball halt
ranger can tackle can cover can do it all man he very special man we needed a great addition in the
secondary to as well at the safety position you know because the guys was young now we bring a
veteran in coming in executing at a high level been a professional been an all pro so now we got
three all pros back there so the sky's the limit for us that's a great addition to the team and
I know the biotrade was crazy big but the real big announcement I know y'all saw everybody that's
here I know y'all watch the keels podcast y'all see him talking about a retirement like this is the goat
right now man this is a philly legend and it's a he'll see you know this is a philly legend and he
He's talking like it's coming to an end.
I understand where he's coming from because I'm at the end of my career as well.
I'm ready to hang it up as well.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm going to take my precious time with it, though, but I feel where he's coming from.
We already, I'm 11 years in and Kelston's 13 years in, maybe 14.
This is a tough game, man.
And he's been an all pro, been a Hall of Fame career.
So, man, you got to respect it.
Got to tip your hat out to him.
One of the amazing centers in the league.
Come on, man.
He's been doing that at a high level for a long time.
Man, I'm sure you're ready to sit back and be a parent, be a husband, and be a
a great, great father to them girls.
You know, he need to get all girls.
I told him a recipe to get the boy,
but he's still shooting out girls, though.
Let's talk about this game.
I love to get credit when credit is due, man.
I don't know why,
but the Washington commanders always play us tough.
I feel like they match up with us so good
in a lot of areas.
Like, they got a strong D line.
We got a strong D line.
We got a great offensive line.
You know, they got a great receiver.
It's like, it's like they built just like our team,
You know, at the end of the game, it's always bowed down to who are more physical
and who has got a little bit more talent.
And that's which is us.
That's why I got the dog.
But, man, they play us hard every year.
I'm talking about even last year, you know, they gave us our first L last year.
And I'm just saying, like, that was a hard fought battle.
It's just, it's just these commanders, man.
They just, they get on my nerves.
They like, they like, you know, like a nagging brother.
You know what I'm saying?
I ain't going to say little brother because we're all professionally.
But they're just like a nagging brother that just gets on your nerves every,
time. They never quit, you know what I'm saying? So you can never go out there and just
expect to blow teams out or whatever not because teams get it done. And you got to give a great
shout out to the OC, man, Eric Bellamy. Like you got to give it to him. Like, remember him
playing in the Super Bowl, scoring points. Like he knows how to attack this defense, man. He
know how to play it against this organization. Like, he does a great job at getting the ball
out of the quarterback hands, screening out of D-line, making them tired, making them rotate. So he does a great
job like handling us as an organization man tip your hat up to him man because he's a great great
OC man I'm sure to look forward to him being a head coach one day in his lead because how he game
playing he game playing extremely well he don't gave us 31 points in both games 31 as a defensive
player we do not want to give up 31 points of course we play better going into the second
half but overall we do not want to give up 31 points it's hard to win in his league
and they should be happy about what they're at right now.
Not really happy about their record, but as a team.
Their record don't look as they play.
You know, three and five, it doesn't look good.
But on film, no boys play hard.
They play for each other.
But hey, we came up with the dub.
So that's what all that matters.
Like at the end, when that clock said zero, zero, we came up with the dub.
And like I said, it's hard to win in the NFL, like very, very hard.
How we got the dub?
This offense.
This offense carried us this week, man, on the defensive side,
Even though we made critical stops at critical moments, we got to be better on defense.
But the offense did what they're supposed to do.
You know, AJ, I'm talking about offensive player of the month.
Like, he's been going crazy.
He's a man my month's boys, like right now.
Nobody cannot guard AJ right now.
I'm talking my one-hand catches.
He catching everything, double cover.
It doesn't matter.
I'm just saying it doesn't matter.
He just broke my dog record.
Calvin Johnson.
Like, this is crazy.
I'm talking about consecutively over 125.
come on now i told y'all he wanted the best receivers in league i told y'all he had my number two
he soon will be number one he keep this up now he does he does an amazing things right now i'm telling
he does an amazing things right now definitely a hulio in the corner now too as well continue to be a
great mentor to him he's only getting better y'all watch this man practice the one hand catch he had
in the back of the end zone he did that in practice like he did the exact way like it's crazy
how much practice make perfect.
Like, I'm saying AJ is doing what he does best.
I'm talking about killing the game.
And he can't kill the game without his kind of partner.
I'm talking about his best friend.
Jalen Hurts.
Like, he is playing at extremely high level as well.
I'm talking real big, like real, real, real big, like making plays.
Like, y'all know y'all been sending on film all over the TV.
We see TV copy as well that you see him limping.
You see him doing that.
He's not really worried about the injury, man.
He's a warrior.
He's a warrior.
He's a guy that's out here to go get it.
He's out here competing.
He gets very much treatment.
He's doing what he needs to do to be ready for Sunday,
and you can see that it's not really affecting his game.
He's still making the great decisions.
He's still standing plays.
Like, that's tough as a defense of player.
Like, I'll play defense.
A guy can run and throw and be very accurate at doing it.
That's hard to contain.
Like, it's very, very hard, man.
That takes guys out of running fits.
It takes guys out of coverages.
It does a lot when you got a guy.
that can really move the pocket and really extend plays with his legs.
Like, I know y'all watched him.
Like, his patience in the pocket is getting even more, more better.
Like, you can see the control and the time in it.
Like, he's being a complete quarterback right now.
I'm saying he's playing at a very, very high level.
You could watch this man grow from year two when he was playing to now, like, you see the growth.
And that's why he's, you know, was up for a run-ups MVP.
I think he's still almost in his MVP conversation because he continued to keep winning.
he's finding ways to win
and if you look at his record,
his track record,
he's coming back out there
scoring points and winning games.
A lot of quarterbacks don't do that.
Like a lot of quarterbacks don't be down 14
going into the third
or going to the fourth
and come back and we get dubs.
He's doing that and he's carrying his team
man, he putting the team on his back
and then he had two Alabama connections
through a tub to Smitty.
Then he threw it to one of the greatest receivers
that ever play this game,
Julio Jones.
His first tub with us.
it was exciting man he got hit and but did you see him pop up like a bit dog shrug at all
none of that you know what I'm saying he ain't going to get a dude face he took the hit like a G
got up and just like muscled up you know what I'm saying if you see the celebrations do you see
the team do you see how excited the guys was to see Julio get his first Eagles touchdown like
guys were sprint into the back field like they sprint to the back of the end zone high-fiving
like you can tell this team is well connected like you can see the connections that we have like
we love each other we appreciate each other like hard
work. They were working on that play all week, all week, and got it down to the teeth and they
got to execute at a high level when it matters. And scored, I'm saying scored. But he took the
hit, got up, slow. Knowing me, I probably took the hit, look that buddy, get a little bigger,
you know what I'm saying? That's why I would probably do it, but I'm not an officer guy. And I
really don't talk too much jump, but that hit did look very, very tall, though. Like it looked like
it hurt it. So, but with Julio being a big guy, he probably could take that. So I ain't surprised
about it, but man, one, Julio, man, shout out to Julio.
one of the greatest receiver.
If he ain't in your top five, I don't know what you're looking at
because he's a top five all-time receiver.
Overall, the offense played amazing,
but of course we got to stop turning the ball over.
But as a defensive guy, we got to help create turnovers as well.
Like our turnover ratio is not good.
Like, this is tough right now.
I think we probably like negative two maybe,
but we still 7 and 1.
That's unheard of.
You know, we're losing the turnover battles,
losing the turnover ratio,
and still 7-1.
That means, like, the team is good.
We are a great team, but we got to stop, you know, hurting ourselves.
We got to stop beating ourselves.
We got to have cleaner games.
We got to start dominating both sides of the ball, even on special teams.
Because if we do that, sky is the limit.
So we still got a lot of stuff to work on, man.
The turnover ratio is not what we wanted at.
We want to be in the plus side.
So on the defensive side, we got to turn the ball of a way more.
So while we're on the secondary, the secondary made a game-changing play.
Come on coming out with my boy, Reed, Reed Blankenship, aka go.
most with the pick, back to back weeks.
The secondary has made game changing plays at a critical moment, critical drive.
And after Reed, pick, I know y'all seen the cellie.
The celebration was far, you know, so Reed is a guy that loved to ride horses.
He's from Alabama, so we ride no horses, you know what I said?
I ain't ever rode a horse that, but I only wrote it like once or twice,
but he showed us what he's going to do if one of us get to play, make a play, make a big time play, or a turnover.
That was the celebration.
So he hit me on the, tap me on the shoulder.
He's like, let's do it, Slay.
So I got it.
Heading with the rodeo.
You know what I'm saying?
Miles will look a little more stuff.
As you can see, Reed looked like he's a professional horse rider.
So, hey, I got to get my game.
I got to get the moves better.
But the celebration, I give it a A plus.
We got to continue to get more picks and all that stuff
so we can keep doing more celebration because that's a fun part of the game, man.
Just celebrating with your friends and your teammates and when they make a great place,
it'd be fun.
So we got to continue to keep doing that, man.
We got to get the rock and turn his ball over.
So let's get into me.
Let's get into the game that I played how I felt like I did.
I did well.
I did what I needed to do.
I should be playing a lot better.
And fans, I saw y'all.
I know y'all are concerned about me being hurt.
Slay okay.
I just got the wind knocked out of me, man.
I don't know if y'all ever had that happen to you.
It's a terrible feeling.
I was even trying to tell the trainers why they was trying to talk to me that, hey, I knocked the ball out.
But I was too winded.
Like, I ain't had no win.
Like I was like, I'm not the ball out.
I don't know.
But I tackle dude got the ball out, which was a big, big time play, man.
That was a third down, got to the fourth down with the redneck sack, strip sack at that
because he's a dog.
He's doing what he does.
So that was a big time play.
You know, that been running that route all day, and I finally got a way to beat that route,
got inside, punched the ball out.
That was a great moment for me, man.
That was my leadership kind of kicking in because I wanted to be on the field for that
fourth down conversion.
I ain't want them guys to get it.
So I bounced back, came back out there, and execute it.
I cannot end this podcast without talking about J.B. getting hurted because around the time of
the end of the first quarter when my boy, J.B. got hurtled by a tight end. I'm talking about he
my boy, Logan Thomas. I play with him in Detroit. He cleared my boy. He cleared. He used to be a
quarterback. So I only know where he gets this vert from. Like you're supposed to be the quarterback,
but now you're in a tight end. You're doing it all, I guess, Logan. You're just doing it all.
You're just doing it all. About time it happened to somebody else.
because I got hurt up before too with Alva Kumar was a rookie and everybody used to kill me about it man so I finally was on a team with somebody else that I got hurt him man so y'all can go get on jb now y'all can get off me but shout out of my boy jb man it's tough out there man we never expected the guys that just jumped over us man I don't seen it i got clear so hey I know how you feel got to the sideline I was like jb you just got hurt him and he laughed and I said bro i got hurt about kamar so it's tough out here overall game
Final thoughts.
Offense did their job, but I feel like as a defensive player, definitely in the secondary area.
We go have to get better, man, even though we came out with the dog.
I wasn't satisfied with how the back end performing.
With me being a captain, being a leader in the secondary, like I said, we got to do better.
And I hold myself accountable first because I got to seal my chest.
And we will come to work.
And we will be getting better because this is not called for it.
We got to be better.
Got to, man.
I hate saying it because I'm a competitive guy, but I'll continue.
to keep saying that like we got a kid out here and get to work we got to go to go like i'm ready
like i want to be in one of the best defenses in the NFL you know of course we was one of the
best past defense in the NFL last year we ranked number one right now we rank like 25 or something
like that that don't sit well with me and and with me definitely being a part of this secondary that can't
happen and it will get fixed we got one of the biggest rivalries going on right now this week man
the cowboy this is a big big divisional game man this is probably one the biggest robberies of history
Like I said, I've been thankful for being a part of this robbery, man.
I ain't never know it was this serious, but it's very serious.
Dak is playing amazing.
The offense is rolling.
C.D. is finally getting himself going to be a great game, man.
They offense versus our defense.
They defense versus our offense.
One defense turns the ball over consistently.
They offense take care of the ball, man.
Dat do a great job at taking care of the ball, getting their stuff and manageable downs and all great stuff going on.
Our defense, you know, we get after the quarter of bad.
We do that offense and one of the best in the league.
So this is going to be a great game, man.
Bribery, I'm looking forward.

Y'all know Big Play cannot
leave without answering your fans'
questions. Like, I love it. You know, I love for y'all to
interact with me, so I got the questions
for y'all, man. Y'all ready for them?
Question number one.
If Flat Football
become an Olympic sport, would I join?
Team USA.
Of course I would join.
You know, I wants a gold medal.
Like, I want to have a gold medal.
Man, NBA players get gold medals.
Of course I'm going to join because I want a gold medal.
So, hell yes, I will join.
Question number two.
Do I do track workouts as a DB to get myself ready, like for training camp mostly?
But yes, yes, I do track workouts.
Man, I would like to run the 200 and the 100 and the 300.
Sometimes just the fact that it helps.
helps me getting a great condition because at the end of the day a DB needs to be in condition,
needs to be in great shape. And I don't like doing all the pedaling in an off season because you only
got so many cuts in your ankles. So I don't really do too many drills in the offseason. I really
just run and make sure I'm good and stretched. So yeah, man, I do track workouts in the offseason.
Question number three, Eagles starting five for basketball. This is a good one. This is a very
good one because it's going to be crazy now. My top five right now. I got, you know what I'm saying?
Smitty one of the best basketball players on the team so he on the course I'm on here who else
ques ques walkins he can hoot he can hoot for sure you might have a small lineup I'm gonna have to
put lane at the center at least because he's the most athletic big man we probably got on the team
to be honest like he's one of the best athletes out of unseen so we got him and I got to have
Dallas Gallo at the four lane at the five Dallas at the four smitty at the three I'm at
the two and put quares at the one. I don't know if quads ball hand in the like, but I might
have to put smitty at the one and put quads at the two and I go to the three. Either way, we'll
get the job done and we'll be the best team in the NFL. And I know that because we hoop a lot.
Like, football players, that's all we kind of much do in the all season. It's kind of much hoop
because that's one of the best exercise, dude. That's one of the best ways that stay in shape.
We all hoot. I ain't seen him saying that we're all professional hoopers. You know, it'll be a little bit
The file ain't going on out there, but I've been around somewhere that a lot of guys on other teams that be hooping that say they can hoop.
They can't hoop.
And they think they're the best player on their team.
So I know they can't beat us.
So that's how I know we'll win.
Question number four.
Y'all think I'm talking a little bit too much about the game plan.
Look here.
I want y'all to understand and being the brain of an NFL player.
So I keep it to a minimum.
I'll promise you I keep it to the minimum because it's way more than I can say.
Like I'm not going to say too much to cost us.
Nothing. I'm just trying to paint a picture for y'all so y'all can see it so we get great understanding so I want to connect with my fans.
So if y'all don't understand why I'm coming from, how can we connect?
You feel me?
Well, thank y'all for the questions, man.
And before I go, fans, pray for these players, man.
It's been a very, very dangerous game.
A lot of guys are getting injured, man.
So all y'all can y'all please, all my fans, can y'all please pray for these players, man?
And for speedy recovery?
Because, hey, this game will miss them, man.
We missed them already, man.
So I thank y'all for joining.
Man, I can't wait to see y'all next week because I'm fired up already, man, for this Cowboys game.
Man, the next week will be crazy.
So make sure y'all stay tuned.
That's all I have today, man.
Thanks for watching.
