Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app,

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.

Come on now.
NFC East Champs, maybe.
It's a great feeling, man.
This is my first time ever getting a t-shirt and hat.
First time in 10 years.
This is going to be my first time making it to the second round of the playoffs in 10 years.
I'll have been four times now.
But three of the times I got eliminated in the first round, man.
This is a true, true blessing for us.
us, man, we've been knowing this all alone.
We've been knowing it all along, man.
We've been working all OTAs, all season, everything.
We put in the work, man, and look how the work paid off, man.
Number one seed, get the buy, got a good recovery coming up.
Man, it's exciting, man.
I'm going crazy right now.
I'm telling you, I was lit all day in the locker room.
I was going crazy.
I know y'all saw the live.
If y'all follow me, because I know y'all follow me on IG, I know y'all saw the
live.
I was going crazy.
You know, I had to calm down a little bit because I had to just, you know,
go home and joy for a little bit with the family and stuff because I was going up,
like all the way up, man.
I know the vibe is bad for the fans because they thought it would be a crazy performance
as in with Jalen Hertz coming back, you know, but the dub is a dub.
That's what we was looking for.
But, of course, we could have played better, man.
We could have, as in the whole group, it was not, it's not how I planned it, you know,
but it was good for that to happen, though, if y'all don't understand, you know,
with Jalen being off two weeks already.
and you know had to get that you know
gotta get the Carweds out man
go be a little rusty
you go be that's just how the professional game work
is he rolling
because you can only imagine
if we would clinch last week
and Jalen sit for three more weeks
and his first game was
second round in the playoffs
that had been pretty tough man
so it was good for him to get in that this week man
I know what type of guy he is
I know what type of work he's going to put in
and honestly guys
I don't know if y'all know
that boy Jalen Hurtson to build it right now
now. You know, coach gave us the off day. Jay Hurts in that building getting ready. Me, personally,
I was feeling great. A win is a win in this league and it's hard to come by. I don't care
who's out there. You know, everybody would be like, oh, practice squad is. Practic squad is
guys get paid too. You know, we got guys on our team right now that's on practice squad on the
actor roster making crazy plays, you know what I'm saying? So that's what the game going
to. We all professional athletes. There's only but 2,500 of us. Whoever out there is out there.
We play Namers Faces. That's how I play the game. Namers Flaces. Whoever,
out there is out there and we compete
and we try to get a win and that's what we did
we got the win and we get
this by. Hey as I see because
you know I'm a big social media guy. I watch
social media a lot, I pay attention to it,
I'm on it all the time. I even talk to just a
fan sometimes. So I've been
reading, you know, just strolling down my
timeline, you know, I see a lot of people just kind of
upset about the game
which I can totally understand. I can understand
why y'all are. But
what y'all are missing, we had guys
come back, got
Chonsi back. We got Quinn back. We got Hertz back. You know, them guys was on RR. You know,
Chaunce was on R for like eight weeks and he played fantastic. You know, playing a hell of a game,
setting screens, making plays. Then got Quinn coming in, you know, another air rush. With
sweaty, it was going down. You know, sweaty did not play last night. You know, with him coming in,
you know, it fulfilled, you know, the spot we need it. Now, when all of them come back, you just see
the combination we got. I know guys are upset. We're not.
Our job was to win the inner seas and try to be the number one seed to make everything come through Philly.
And let's get on your boy.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm critical on myself always.
Your boy could have had two pigs last night.
Two of them, at least.
That would have put me at five.
You know, I've been going pickless for too long.
But I'll finally get a little bit of action and I didn't make them pay.
But it's okay.
It's okay.
Okay, man.
It's playoff time.
Man, I'm not going to dwell on it too low because I'm trying to get in that 30 club.
I'm at 26.
I could have been at 27, I mean 28.
And get closer to 30, man.
I'll try to get that 30 club.
But, man, I had a solid game, man.
I was playing great all the way up into the last play of the Giants game.
I was like, oh, what the hell?
You know, I was like, what the hell going on?
You know, he caught the ball on his thoughts.
and like tucked it in.
No, you got to get my boy Kenny today.
Kenny, a good job right there.
That's my dog.
I played with him in Detroit for four years.
That's my boy, man.
I love Kenny the death, man.
I hope he found himself and get himself going, you know what I'm saying?
Because he's a talented guy, man.
And those are the type of plays he made on me.
What a play he made on me last night is a play that Kenny makes often,
if y'all don't know, man, because I played when I seen him doing it practice against me before and all that.
But that was a tough, tough catch, man.
That's how you got to beat Slay.
You got to be Slade with a magnificent catch.
And that's what he did.
He made a magnificent catch last night, man,
salute to my dog.
But I got to play better.
I want to have a game when I went clean.
Shout out.
I would have, like, three PbUs.
I had an amazing game.
Like, I was going crazy.
But, you know, last player of the game messed it up for me, man.
I'm still good, though.
I played a solid guy.
I gave my grade a B plus because I was clamping stuff.
You know what I was like to really locking stuff up.
But, yeah, I get myself like a B plus.
I know some of y'all saw my IG.
But let me tell you about last night.
As I'm walking down the tunnel, you know, I'm talking to Smitty.
Let them know, like, Randarion, my boy Smitty,
just broke the reception record.
And you know what I'm saying?
So I'm congratulating my dog on being something special,
getting his name in the Eagles history.
Shout out to AJ 2 for having the most receiving y'all.
Them Batman's going crazy.
Just throwing that out there.
The Batman is going crazy.
So just get back to the story, though.
As we walking into the locker room,
my locker is the first locker to the right.
So as I peaked to the right,
my hat and t-shirt was already there.
Like, bam, they knew what time it was.
You know what I'm saying?
So I grabbed it, put my hat on,
turned that live on, went crazy,
had all the young boy playing.
Man, we was in that going crazy.
You know, I was dancing,
going around everybody in the locker room.
Everybody on my live.
My fault lie, my fault teammates,
if I caught you, you know, getting drafted.
because I was really just turning up.
My fault, y'all.
My fault, man.
I don't mean to disturb your privacy,
but your boy was just lit.
You know what I'm saying?
I was just kind of like in the groove.
Like I never, like I told y'all, man.
I never won.
So I just did that.
We had our little fun in the locker room with the chilling.
Me and the wife and all us,
we would go eat dinner and some of my team
boys and some of my teammates that came.
You know, we ate dinner, hung out.
And then we just, you know,
chill, watch the game.
Watch the Lions.
Do their thing.
You know, shout out to the Lions, man.
got my boy, y'all got my boy, Quandre in the playoff, man.
Y'all doing favors for the line.
Y'all, y'all, y'all still love us.
We understand.
We love y'all, we love y'all.
We know, we appreciate you.
But, yeah, as it going on, watching the game, chilling with my guys, we just having talks,
man, about a lot of ball, man, just a lot of ball, how experience and how special this team
is.
And it got a little emotional a little bit, you know, but we just like, man, we're really
in the playoffs, man, we're really in number one seed.
Because, like I said, a lot of guys haven't done that.
And a lot of guys didn't have been to make up the playoffs in the league.
They've been in the league 12 plus years.
They even made the playoffs before.
So I'm blessed to be number one seed and all that.
So we was just really vibing all night, man,
and joining each other times and really just locking,
getting ready, lock in and get laser focus for next week.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all.

I don't care which I'm saying.

You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.

American soccer is about to explode.
The World Cup is coming.
Ramos sending on to Ernie Stewart the chip.
I'm Tab Ramos.
I'm Tom Bo.
On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines.
I'm not worried about Policic.
I'm not worried about Balagan.
I'm not worried about McKinney.
My only concern is what happens in the back.
The biggest decisions.
If you're going to look at stats and numbers, he has no shot at making this World Cup team.
And the truth about the U.S. national team.
It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals.
The World Cup is almost here.
Experience it all with us.
Listen, Inside American Soccer with Tom Bogart and Tabramos
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcast.
And y'all know since we got the bye week, I'm not going to lie.
I don't even know how to approach this because it's not the same as a regular season by week.
This is my first time ever having a bye week, so I'm going to be new to this too.
But I'm going to try to fill y'all in as much as I can.
But what I think is going to happen now we go practice a little bit during the week.
you know, coach maybe give us some days off, you know, to get the rest on our bodies
because in the season, the rooks and younger guys kind of like play, you know what I'm saying,
practice a good bit, practice a lot more.
We kind of like sit and recover a good bit for the older guys.
But in the playoffs, I think I, you know, I think I should be practical because I don't need
no, no setback.
You know, I need to be playing.
I need to be getting active.
I still need to be getting in and out of my breaks, quarterbacks and receivers still need to be
making their connection.
So this is going to be a little strange for me.
I don't know.
I'm not going to approach this as a normal biweek.
You know, I'm approaching as in just a biweek as in to recover.
But to be more focused on my details and watch myself on film, study myself, see where the officer
coordinator is picking up for my tendencies of me playing corner, you know, because I'm a very high-rated corner.
So I got to find out what I got to do better to switch my game up and make me sure I'll be
ready to play the following week.
So this will be strange for me, man.
I'm looking forward to it, but I show dude deep this biweek because the boy body
is sold.
That 18 weeks is tough.
Like I said, NFL.
Add it as the biweek in that, please and thank you.
It's getting rough.
Like, come on now.
As your boy know, man, like I said, this is your boy fourth time in the playoffs.
I never had a home playoff game.
So I don't even know what to expect.
And the only thing I've been hearing about Philly and home playoff game is crazy.
It'd be crazy.
I've been seeing it all on TV and stuff when I was on the other side, you know, in Detroit.
I've seen the time when they was winning the Super Bowl and they had that meat meals plan going crazy.
So I can only imagine what type of energy is going to come into this stadium.
It's coming two weeks.
I just can't imagine.
I'm ready for us.
I've been experiencing it in regular seasons, but a playoff home game and all home games got to come through Philly.
It's going to be crazy.
This is how I am.
When I get too excited,
I get cotton out,
melt get dry.
I'm talking about I'm not nervous at all.
It just the excitement level goes up, man.
And I love to be that excited because when I'm that excited,
I make a lot of plays.
And I'm looking forward to doing it, man.
Like I said, Eagles fan, we need you big.
We need you big time.
And we're looking forward to it, man,
putting on the show for y'all.
And I want to hear every time.
I want to hear the game quiet.
Oh, I want to hear everybody's yelling the whole game.
because like I said, I want to experience this playoff thing crazy
because, like, I'm year 10.
And I'm just finally getting a home playoff game, man.
So I'm looking forward to this.
And then let's go, Eagles.
Let's fly.
Saturday and Sunday, I'm watching some ball, man.
Because I want to see who we play.
You know what I'm saying?
So I got to watch everybody, you know, get my little notes
and make sure I'm ahead of the game.
So I see we got the Giants in Minnesota.
That game was just close.
They just played each other, like I think like two weeks ago.
So they still got a good familiar taste of them.
Like they understand them.
Like they still kind of like got the game playing for them
because they just played them not too long ago.
And that was a very, very close game.
And then we got the Cowboys in Tampa.
Got Tom Brady in the playoffs.
You know how Tom Brady is in the playoffs?
He's a great guy.
He's one of the greatest ever.
That's going to be a great game.
You know, Tampa beat him the first game in the year, I think it was.
They played him first game in the year.
It won.
It's going to be.
And the Seahawks.
it's like everybody playing teams in their division stuff for the cowboys so this go be
it's going to be a good crazy game man it's going to be a crazy sequence man right here
because some of these big seeds can be beating you know they've been beaten so it's going to be tough
man and that's why this biweek was important man definitely because you know how teams
probably feeling there and going to the game they got to go into it right now they probably
ain't work right now getting locked in and getting laser focus the intensity of this game
will really change quick.
Because in the post seasons, you know, stacks don't really matter.
It's all about winning in the postseason.
You know, in the regular season, you know, people be chasing stats.
People will be chasing this and goals and MVPs and all this kind of stuff.
Postseason is what the real game gets going, man, get started.
And that's where the best come out.
Man, before I go, man, we always got to keep out keeping prayers of tomorrow, man.
Because that's a tragic moment, man.
That's a very, very tragic moment for a sport, man.
And it was hard to see deathly on TV, man.
I even talked to the defense yesterday,
and I had a little motivational speech for the defense,
but I didn't even give it to him.
Like, I said, like, man, you know,
you got to be thankful, man,
to be able to play this game,
be able to cherish these type of moments
because you'll never know when your last down is.
You never know when you're not going to be able to play again.
So that kind of touched me in a crazy way.
And so I'd say, man, we just keep our hands
and our president in there for DeMar and his family, man,
if he's fully speedy,
recovery man so salute to you bit dog man hey you're a warrior man um you know i approach that field
thinking about my family and you as well and um man man playing for blessings bigger blessings for you
man and i'm looking forward to man seeing you recovery and uh seeing you prosper man uh shout out to
you dog man that's all i got for y'all man i thank y'all for tune in to your boy big play sleigh here
but make sure y'all be back this week man because i'm gonna let y'all know how the games win this
weekend and who we play. This wild card
game is going to be crazy, man. So I look
forward to talking about it this week. So
make sure y'all tune in, man. Salute y'all.
