We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.

All right.
You know exactly what we're doing.
We're singing our way into this Monday
that feels like a Tuesday
because it's a short work week.
Hell yeah.
Hey, a couple days away from the
holiday.
That's it.
It was better last year.
That's right.
We're heading into Fourth of July weekend.
So we'll get to the weekend a little quicker this week.
In fact, action-packed week, we're going to be filling in for DP, Dan Patrick on Thursday.
So listen out.
Yeah, buddy.
Kavino and Rich, live from the West Side, broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio.
Hope you had a Jake Paul sort of weekend.
And happy birthday iron mic.
I watched that stupid fight.
Let's rock out.
So what?
You're one of millions of people that watched that stupid fight.
Holiar, Seiz, Jr. didn't throw a punch until like the 7th.
round. You're not even exaggerating.
He didn't throw a punch.
Yay. Until like the third or fourth, but
really turned it on in like the eighth round.
Trash.
He had three
good rounds. I'm telling you, it was
I guess worth the watch to stay up
on things, but
boom.
Jake Paul fun. If you paid
5999, you feel a little scammed.
But Jake Paul getting better.
I was under the impression
that Chavez Jr. was scared
to pull the trigger early
in the fight was hoping that Jake Paul tired down.
And once he did later in the fight, he was able to throw some punches.
And he did, but it was a dud of a fight for sure.
So congrats to Jake Paul.
That was some weak sauce.
That wasn't like Taco Bell hot sauce or a chick filet sauce.
What's your favorite sauce, by the way?
What's your favorite fast food sauce?
I like bitching sauce at Costco.
That's good stuff.
Bich and sauce.
I was Sam.
What's your go-to sauce?
That's good sauce.
You know, at...
Thank you, Dan.
No, that was Ben Mallor.
Oh, I thought it was then.
Oh, good sauce.
I haven't been to Arby's in a while, but they have the horsy sauce and the Arby sauce.
And those are spicy.
Oh, you got a favorite sauce in the world of a honey?
He likes honey.
He's a honey guy.
He's a honey guy.
Don't you listen?
That's why I'm a Dan guy.
You know, me and the honey.
But I will say this.
Behind me, some leftovers brought home some Louisiana liquors sauce sauce from Quaker's sauce from Quaker.
steak and lube.
Yes.
It's delicious.
Well, the fight this weekend was weak sauce.
But UFC 317 was pretty dope.
You don't care about Danny G's favorite sauce?
Danny G., what's your favorite?
Do you have like a number one?
I would go with the original chick-fil-A sauce.
Yeah, that's, you know what?
I will never buy it out of the bottle at the supermarket.
I'll just hoard the packets.
Exactly.
You got to be, you got to be, like, wasteful if you buy that at the supermarket.
Don't be sleeping on that bitch and sauce I'm talking about.
If you go to Costco, a lot of people made their coffee.
Costco runs over the weekend.
I look like the little kid on the cover.
The bitch and souse is so good.
Some people think of it too.
Weak sauce when it came to the fight.
And like I said, speaking of fights,
happy birthday to Iron Mike,
59th birthday today.
So we have lots to get to a friend of the program.
That's right.
Happy birthday, Mike.
Last one standing.
We're giving away prizes.
If you're the last one standing here on the show,
we're going to play some games.
We're going to talk some NFL.
And Aaron.
Rodgers is in the news.
Why my dude, Steve Cohen is the best owner in all
of sports. Something he said
and did, I'll explain. Well, it's not over-promise
man, because you want to start with overheard
LeBron. Before we get to LeBron, I must
say, over the weekend, the big story.
Well, it was an F-1 with Brad Pitt,
which, by the way, was number one at the theater
if you got out of the heat.
The Jeff Bezos wedding, I have
to bring this up simply because we're going to talk about
weddings later because there's a wedding
snub in the NFL. That's making news.
Not if we continue talking about sauce.
I mean, I put that Taco Bell hot sauce.
I put that Taco Bell hot sauce on everything.
Everything?
What I mean?
Everything.
Wow.
You're stealing Frank's hot sauce slogan.
Isn't that there?
You can put that ish, you can put that ish on everything?
I put the taco bell hot sauce.
I know, I do too.
Those are valuable little packets.
But over the weekend, I have to bring this up because apparently Tom Brady, who we talk a lot about, was the party star.
From what I understand, reports are.
that Tom Brady was dancing with everyone.
He was hanging and flirt with Sydney Sweeney.
He was in the DJ booth with Kygo mixing it up.
Like Tom Brady is unleashed.
Adamoy, Tommy.
He is the number one bachelor in the world.
It's now Sidney Sweeney and Tom Brady, Bathwater.
Tom F and Brady.
Love him or hate him.
No one had a better weekend.
Good for him.
That's my boy.
That's my part owner.
TB12.
Bringing the heat.
Now, before we get into LeBron and other goats,
Yeah. I just want to say we got some awesome news right off the jump. Our show, this show, Kavino and Rich.
Wait us? Yes, the show, the world famous CNNR on FSR. It's going to be broadcasting live from the MLB All-Star Games.
Hotlanta, here we come. Magic City. Let's go Atlanta.
My all-blue Lindor jersey is coming in just in time. Atlanta is the ultimate baseball hotspot.
And you can be part of the excitement at Capital One All-Star Village.
Hell yes. Saturday, July 12th through Tuesday, July 15th.
Head to the Cobb Galleria for baseball fun, live entertainment, and interactive games.

So we will be there bringing the fun to you, but we hope to see you out there in Atlanta.
Covino and Rich making money moves. Let's go.
He'll be the guy wearing his tired number two Jeter pinstripes.
And I'll be the guy with that.
I'll be that guy with the sweet Lindor blue alternate jersey.
I got my bets ready, number 50.
You got your mooky bets?
All right, we'll be there.
We'll see you in Hotlanda in like a week and a half, which is awesome.
So excited to be part of the All-Star Mix.
Thank you.
Thank you, Capital One.
Thank you, Major League Baseball.
Thank you for everyone involved.
Thank you, Larry.
Thank you, Larry.
All right.
So now that we got the out of the way, got the business out, our birthday shoutouts out,
let's talk about Overheard LeBron.
LeBron James.
Is that a Twitter account like Overheard, L.A.?
Well, I'm pretty sure.
I'm pretty sure it's legit actually.
Yeah.
Because, by the way, what sort of trash bag puts this out there?
I don't know.
You know, I sort of had a taste of this the other day, Rich.
I was in the sauna.
Yeah.
And I'm nobody famous.
Yeah.
Right?
I'm infamous, which is more than famous.
Thanks, three.
I feel like a dude was recording me in the sauna the other day.
I think he was just recording your feet.
No, seriously.
I was like, what's he doing?
He's got the camera up and it's pointing at me.
What is he?
Like sharing this with his like Vato buddies?
Oh, no, I saw this.
It was on TMZ.
It was what happened to Mario Lopez?
Hey, whatever it was, you know, look at this Vato.
He's got just for men dripping down his face.
Maybe that was it.
I don't know what was going on, but he was recording me either way.
The story goes that LeBron James is at some sort of, is it like a sushi spot.
It looks like a hibachi spot.
It looks nice.
He's at some swanky Asian restaurant.
I don't know if it's a Japanese restaurant or what.
But you see him there, and then there's another cut of like someone is trying to hide it,
but the recording overheard LeBron James saying,
I ain't mad looking at New York.
She, meaning his wife, Savannah, want me to effing retire in a year or so.
LeBron James.
And you probably heard the audio.
It's muddled, but it's legit or it seems real.
Yeah.
You've heard other people talking about it.
So it got us thinking about LeBron James and all these movies.
moving parts. The layers of LeBron?
The layers of LeBron, exactly.
Because LeBron James exercised his $52.6 million
Lakers contract option ahead of this season,
which means he's wearing purple and gold this season.
He's still a Laker. But after that, the options open.
Meaning last year they gave him one in one. This year,
he's just getting the one.
So he could still be traded,
but it has to be run by LeBron.
But he's playing with the Lakers next year's open.
That's the question.
So what's he going to do?
I don't understand the New York reference unless he's meaning the Knicks or moving there.
Or maybe post-retirement has some business opportunities.
Yeah.
It's vague.
It's vague.
But either way, he's saying that the pressure's on, wife he's saying one more year,
which means she's getting a little antsy and agitated.
And to be quite honest, she's been very patient.
The guys played a long time.
I mean, deja vu.
Didn't we see this with Tom Brady?
Yeah.
One year or too many could mean.
trouble and bear it absolutely you don't want lebron's wife ending up with the kung fu instructor
or the jiu jitsu instructor whatever um well there's so many layers as to lebron james of what the future
holds our very own damn patrick the legend that we fill in for this thursday was saying i believe
that he thinks this is the farewell tour for lebron james i agree this is going to be the year where
it's sort of a spoken unspoken.
Maybe he makes an announcement, but this is it.
And perhaps Danny G, you're a big Lakers fan.
If they could add a guy like D' Andre.
This is it was Michael Jackson's farewell tour, isn't it?
That is true.
This is LeBron's last year.
I agree with Dan Patrick wholeheartedly.
I think with this no trade clause, he stays a Laker one more year to see what sort of moves they make this year.
They're going to build the team around Luca, but he's going to stick around one more year to see if they can recapture any fortune and glory.
before he dips out.
But this is his last year, goodbye.
He's not going to go out and pull an Aaron Rogers per se,
meaning end up on another random team for one more year.
How many more years does he have after this year?
One more?
I mean, there's no way.
Unless, hold on, unless he goes back to Cleveland.
We forget that he is still an impact player.
LeBron James is still an impact player,
but he still got ready to retire and has life to live.
This is not a guy who's, you know, now we're, you know,
there's guys that, oh, now we're scoring.
and 18 to 20.
Yeah, but you want to go on top.
He's still LeBron James.
And Danny, you're a Lakers fan.
I was going to say, if they add a piece, I'm seeing some rumors about DeAndre Aiton.
Yeah.
If a guy like Aton, a big man, if they get, if they add a piece like that, does
LeBron have a chance to go out like a John Elway, like win and retire?
That would be nice.
Right.
I mean, is that.
But, I mean, this always comes up whenever LeBron opts into an extension or a contract.
The murmurs are always, well, he.
wants to see still if they're going to put winners around them.
So we've seen this song and dance before.
There are people who don't agree that this is going to be a farewell tour,
that he's still going to play another two or three seasons.
I know Byer over the weekend, there's a video clip from Fox Sports where you're saying
you don't think it's a farewell tour.
Yeah, yeah, I don't think it is, but I think it's the Lakers saying farewell to LeBron.
Okay.
That basically in your, like last off season, they sent him to a one-on-one deal.
It said, one-year contract with a player option for the next.
I don't think they wanted to give him an option for the next year.
And I don't think that there's any teams that he wanted to go to this year that would have the money to pay him what he wanted.
So I think he just opted in.
But I think next year gives all those other teams the ability to maybe get ready for LeBron to leave L.A.
And then he'll have his swan song, which I always felt was going back to Cleveland for one last year.
Yeah, I agree.
So that's why I don't think that it's, I don't think next year is his last year.
I think he wants that go around.
the league and be honored for an entire season.
Just do the math.
Thank you, D.B. Dan Byer.
Do you agree with what Dan's saying here,
87799 on Fox or what Dan Patrick said earlier,
that it is his farewell tour?
I am caught in the middle because I do agree that
if it is another year or two after this year with the Lakers,
it can only be with Cleveland.
He's just a kid from Akron, Ohio.
It's not going to be with the Knicks or some of the random team.
Been there, done that.
I don't know.
New York could be a very interesting.
really farewell and you heard him say
New York he does say New York in that
weird
recorded clip what Dan Byer says is interesting
because that has happened in other sports where a star
player is told by the organization like
hey listen like almost insinuating like if you're going to hang it up
this is your failure well tour from us
like I feel like that's been done with other players
and other sports where you see a guy will be like well
they thought I was done but I'm really not done
and he might just be done in L.A.
Well, in a few weeks ago, we talked about the Guggenheim group coming in.
They have no loyalty to LeBron.
At the time, remember we were saying, like, they are going to build for the future around Luca.
So it would not surprise me if the writing is on the wall between the Lakers and LeBron.
And not too upon my Sunday show, but yesterday I compared it to marriages.
That's how I've been doing it.
There have been marriages that people are madly in love after 50 years, and there are others that are marriages out of convenience.
and once one needs more than the other or doesn't need the other one more than the other,
then it breaks.
And I feel that's what happened with LeBron and the Lakers,
where now the Lakers, because they have Luka, they don't need LeBron as much anymore.
So they're going to go their own way and then LeBron will end up going his.
Well, man, it's a lot to take in, a lot of moving parts.
He's got the no trade clause, like we said.
He's got one more year, this coming year with the Lakers.
He's 40 years old now.
It's a matter of how much gas you think you really has.
and you already alluded to it, Rich.
His stats show that he's still an effective player,
but how much longer could he possibly want to play?
He's 40 now.
But once you stop, it's over, buddy.
This year, okay, Lakers.
You think he's got one or two more years after that?
Because if it's one, then I definitely think it's Cleveland
because you retire with that team that means the most.
There's two teams.
If it's more than one year, then yeah, maybe the Knicks.
I don't think you just go out with some random team.
The fact that Aaron Rogers is doing it,
to me, tarnishes the, the legacy a little bit.
Like, we've seen every big star just dwindle off on random teams.
I hate that look.
I don't think LeBron has, is going to do that.
In the Eastern Conference, it just feels very wide open, right?
Like, the Pacers made the NBA finals, but, you know, Halliburton's now, he's gone for a year.
I'm just saying, like, the Eastern Conference, the Knicks and Cabs, the two teams you mentioned, are both right there.
add LeBron to either one of those two teams and you could argue that,
well, they're the best team now in the Eastern Conference.
Well, then I'll throw this out there.
Throw Boston in there too, but he's not going there.
But it's like, if they could force the trade, right?
You think he could say he wants to go to the Knicks this year?
No.
I think we got one more in L.A.
Well, he's supposed to.
Yeah, that was the option.
This is the awesome thing about it is there are really no wrong answers
because you don't know what LeBron is going to do.
I don't know if teams are really set up to do anything this off season for him,
but it could be tricky.
but it's all out there.
I read Rich Paul's statement different than other people read it and taking my own thing.
So there's everything is on the table when it comes to LeBron.
I was talking to some of the dads on my son's baseball team.
We're chatting about this.
And we're saying that the NBA should hope that LeBron keeps these theatrics and this going
because you've noticed that the LeBron, Steph Curry, that generation of superstars as
they age, unless these young stars start emerging.
The NBA is going to, they don't want, you know,
saying about it LeBron and Steph in a few years, that's not good for the NBA.
So these theatrics are great.
What's interesting also is Laker fans are split on this.
There's some who are tired of LeBron and the circus around them, like my cousin,
who was in our group chat last night saying,
farewell if he's going to, you know, agree to a trade and go elsewhere.
You even said you're open to him.
Yeah, I mean, if they put the right players around Luca and get a couple of big,
then they'll be all right and they'll be set for the future.
Well, Aiton has stated that he wants to play with Luca, not necessarily.
He hasn't said it.
There's rumors that he and Luca have wanted to play together.
Now, there's also Laker fans like my older brother who wrote right back to my cousin and said,
who are you going to replace LeBron with?
You take him for granted.
Dude, I agree with.
And so there's lots of Laker fans arguing over this.
Your cousin, I have Mepfan friends like that.
I have 49er fan friends like that where they have this like fire the coach or get rid of this plan.
and replace it with who?
That's a good point.
And the other point we made and you forgot your own point, Rich,
or maybe you were getting to it.
I'm sorry, you were getting to it probably.
But when we were doing our pre-show meeting,
you were saying how people should be kissing LeBron's ass
because we're never going to see this again
and you got to take it all in.
Like he's underappreciated almost.
You were going on this rant.
I'm like...
I think that we're going to look back.
LeBron's a great example of...
This happens a lot with politicians on both sides, right?
Where it's like you can't really assess their...
value. Their value or
their tenure impact until
years later. And I think we're going to look back
and like, man, we're really, I know he brought
it on himself a little bit with the not two,
three, four, five, six, seven, all that nonsense.
Very outspoken guy. So yeah,
he got a lot of criticism. Not three. Yeah.
Not four. Not ten.
Not eleven. He went to nine finals though.
I mean, but yeah, I'm saying. Let that sink in
nine finals. I think we
are going to look back and be like, yeah,
he did a couple boneheaded things that made it
easy to pick on him, but we're going to look back
and say, we were really rough on a guy that was like really solid on and off the court.
Like we were really sort of jerks at times.
And starting now this weekend, this is the beginning of the end to see pretty much
start figuring out how it all ends and how it wraps up.
Will it be as a Laker?
Will it be as a Nick?
All these little rumors.
Or will it be like Dan Byers said, Cleveland, which I think would be a fitting sort of farewell.
And Rich, we'll miss him in the playoffs and the finals.
But let's be real.
of this LeBron fatigue, even with his own team's fan base, is brought on by himself.
A lot of it off the court.
I'm tired.
I just feel like the end of LeBron feels like the, you know, when a sitcom or a drama you watch is ending.
And, you know, they always had some, like, red-headed kid or some, like, step kid or Sam with the cowboy.
Or, you know, or the, you know, Michael Scotts replaced on the office by someone else.
And there's always that, I feel like if LeBron were to go to one team at the end, and.
it would be like Emmett Smith as a Cardinal
or, you know, Jerry Rice putting on
like a Seahawks uniform.
Rogers as a Stealer. You know, the Steelers are respectable.
Like him as a stealer for one year is weird.
You know. Oh, God, please.
No. But Emmett Smith's numbers
as a Cardinal, Rich, were not like
LeBron's numbers last season. No, that's true.
I just, to me, it's like,
it's interesting. And you guys are all right.
I think everyone in the room is right. And Dan's right.
You can't be wrong because we're still waiting to see
what's happening. Yeah. And I started Emmett Smith
in some fantasy leagues when he was with the Cardinals.
So that tells you how bad of a fantasy football player.
Right, right.
Just they weren't Emmett Smith numbers.
Yeah, I mean, he didn't do.
You know, when you look, he did better than you think.
Yeah, he did.
I recently looked up.
I thought he had like 900 yards or like, you know, close to a thousand or something.
Yeah, in my mind, he had like 100 yards.
But no, he was like relatively effective for a minute in Arizona.
But you know what?
It's a simple strategy.
We're talking about it.
It keeps him relevant.
Keeps him in the news.
It keeps him valuable.
People start whispering.
They want a piece of LeBron for that fair.
tour. It's like on Love Island, Rich. You may be in love or complacent on a particular team or
with a particular person, but why not keep your options open just to see what's out there?
And that's what he's doing. So we'll see. He's got one more year with the Lakers and a no trade
clause. How will this all wrap up? How will this end? We'll find out. And what do you think
about that whole New York thing? That was weird. Interesting. And also the pressure from his wife,
I think that does say a lot. I think that says if we're going to learn anything from Brady.
That was a great example, Rich.
And I think that adds to this probably is his last year.
His wife is putting that sort of pressure on him.
Think about that.
Now, you know, as they said in my big fat Greek wedding.
Spot, you'll know.
What was the quote where the wife turns the head, but he, you're the one quoting it.
Fool me once.
Shame on you.
You know, how they, like they always say, Spot.
I feel like Spot loves that movie.
The man is the head, but the one.
wife turns the neck.
Something like that, right?
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't think.
Fool me.
It's your quote.
Shame on you.
It fool me.
We can't get fooled again.
Essentially, you just can't get fooled again.
That was from my big fat Greek wedding, right?
Exactly.
So with that said, your thoughts at Covino and Rich.
And, you know, speaking to my big fat Greek wedding, not a Greek wedding, but there was a
wedding.
Look at that.
We're going to get to this next.
An NFL wedding that I wasn't invited to.
You weren't invited to.
Guess who else was invited to?
Someone that thought they should have got the invite.
So we'll talk about a wedding snub in the NFL next and a lot of fun here on Kavino and Rich.
And while you're having all that fun, you might want to get some new clothes.
It's that time.
Summer is here.
You want to look sleek.
You want to look good.
Last night, even, I was like, going a little date night with my wife.
You want to be able to grab something out of the closet.
Some nice shorts, a nice polo, a nice fitted, a nice fitted shirt, t-shirt.
like Travis Matthew is where it's at for the summer gear.
Yeah, it's automatic.
It takes that pressure off of it.
What do I wear?
You know who wears it Travis Matthew had?
Anyone watching Stick on Apple TV?
No, you are.
It's a great show.
The golfer that Owen Wilson is it about Gene Michael?
No, it's not.
But it's a great show when he was wearing Travis Matthew.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some
big news. What's the news? Huge news.
We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas. We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty. Yeah.

But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name,
Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey Jonas.
and then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Kingston grew up in an isolated polygamous sect.

So when a swaggering Armenian businessman catapults Jacob into an extraordinary world,
he doesn't look back.
Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, meeting the president of Turkey.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and this is one of the most shocking criminal conspiracies I've ever come across.
When Jacob met Levin this went to a billion-dollar fraud.
But with two kings from entirely different worlds, just how long can their empire survive?
The largest tax investigation in American history.
You need to tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?
Jacob told Levan, you're ruining my life.

Pins and needles.
Nice to know you.
By the way, new Incubis rumor coming out in October, something in the water.
Every time Incubis plays, I think of a Kavino 2000 story.
Oh, geez.
Oh, yeah.
He was dating some hot girl that was trying to impress him because Covino is a big rock fan.
And she's like, I love this song.
What is it?
Incumbus?
I love Incumbus.
All right.
Well, I don't love you anymore.
Good thing you're hot.
Scrammeling him.
Way to disc Calabasasas high.
Yeah, I know.
They're from right here.
They're from the...
Yeah, they met in Calabasas at high school.
Yeah, them, Lincoln Park, Huba Stank,
all from that area, that Agora Hills,
Calabasas area.
Something in the water there.
Something in the water is the name of their new album.
How the way, nice...
I had dinner in Agora Hills last night.
Once you keep going up that way towards you, Danny Jee,
it's beautiful, man.
It's just a little far away.
Yeah, we're live from the Barrios of L.A.
Live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio,
and the big announcement,
Our show is going to broadcast live from the MLB All-Star game in Atlanta.
Watch your favorite celebrities.
Kavino and Rich.
What?
I mean, sorry, I misread that.
Watch your favorite celebrities.
Take the field at Truis Park during the MLB All-Star Saturday on July 12th.
And lots of people are going to be there, Rich.
Two-time Olympian Jordan Childs.
Hall of Fame inductee C.C.
Sabathia.
Captain Crunch, Sabathia is going to be there.
Quavo is going to be there.
Latin Star Young Miko.
my girl Jenny Finch, gold medalist, softball superstar,
all there, part of the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game.
And if a bunch of people, maybe if like 10 people get sick,
they'll ask me to play.
That's what I'm sort of hoping for.
Maybe a little stomach bug goes around like, we don't got anyone.
And I'll be like, me.
We're going to bring the fun to you live again.
The game presented by Geico, visit all-stargame.com for tickets.
I'm Kavino.
That is rich.
And we kicked it off with Overheard, LaBrived.
Bron and Dan Byer referenced what Rich Paul said.
Rich Paul said, that's LeBron's agent.
He explained that they're going to be closely monitoring the Lakers moves and whether
the team is positioning itself this offseason to field a title contending roster.
So that's just a power move that they're pulling the power move.
It's a power move that men and women of power in all business do, right?
you want me to sign with your company?
Do you want me to go with you?
Lay out what you plan on doing.
And he's at that point in his career.
He's got one more year with the Lakers.
Does he use this as the farewell
or does he end up in New York?
Or again, all the overheard stuff that we heard about
his wife wanting him to retire, et cetera, et cetera.
Your thoughts at Covino & Rich at Fox Sports Radio.
Now, the other funny story
before we get to Dan Byers update
and last one standing is
well it involves a wedding
another guy you're sick of
sick of hearing about Danny G
I don't know who hogs up the headlines more
it's a question in itself LeBron or Aaron
Rogers
Aaron Rogers
Hang on I'm setting my timer
You guys have four minutes
He said recently he wants to keep his private
life private his private
His private life is staying private
was the quote
Because there's a lot of people are like
Dude you got married
Dude
Why didn't you tell us
Then he tried to gaslight everyone and say, like, you guys are all just weirdos for wanting to know who my wife even is.
Meanwhile, he's wearing the ring and he's talking about.
Of course, there's interest, right?
Yeah.
Well, over the weekend, do you guys remember David Bacdiari?
Absolutely.
Well, he was the center.
He was Rogers Center when Rogers was on the Packers.
A big part of that Green Bay Packers team and also sounds like a guy that should be on Spartacus.
Bacdiotti.
Yeah, they chugged the bruskeys together at the Bucci.
He was one of those linemen that you saw chugging beers.
with Aaron Rogers.
Remember the clip
where Aaron Rogers
was trucking to beer?
We talked about it.
He was on the big screen.
He was a pro bowler, of course.
Yeah.
Well, he was there with his buddy.
David Bactieri.
Now, over the weekend,
Bakhtiari threw out a tweet
on the Olex page.
He threw out an X.
What do we say?
Have we confirmed how to...
You call it whatever you want.
It's Twitter.
Well, you're also the guy that refused to say
Grande at Starbucks at the day.
Medium.
And they go Grande and you go Medium.
What do you say?
He posted an X.
Yeah, it's like how it'll always be
Staples Center, it'll always be Twitter.
He posted a tweet that said,
Love is Love.
Congrats to the Loves.
Oh.
He said, just happy, at least one of my
quarterbacks invited me to their wedding.
And he put that, like, shocking look emoji.
Like, yeah, I'm talking smack
and I'm talking about Aaron Rogers.
So here they are
Buddy Chummy one year.
Teammates, big screen,
chugging beers, high five and chest bumping
Bakhtiari and Rogers.
And, you know, Rogers played a few seasons with Adam.
Life goes on, life moves on.
He took it to heart.
Now, is that on him or is it on Rogers?
I think it's on him, to be honest.
That's my first instinct here.
Because I have a story that backs up Rogers.
I remember when I got married stressing over.
Maddie, who am I leaving off the list?
Is someone going to get butt hurt?
Am I offending someone?
And then you realize if you don't get invited somewhere,
you don't really care that much
and then you realize you're overthinking it
and if someone were to...
But an invite from an Aaron Rogers
probably means a lot more.
But there are...
Sometimes it is an indicator of where that person
sees you and looks at you.
Yeah, like Aaron Rogers.
Battyari might have thought like
he's my number one best friend
that I played for.
Batiatis. Batiatis of Sparkis.
Bakhtiari.
Baktiari.
But I would imagine he might be thinking
you know, Aaron Rodgina and I were like
the one-two combo.
center quarterback for
years like the guy gets married
and I'm not there? I'm the last
to know. I see where I stand.
Well, you know what? Life moves on.
That's really it. I'm sad
to say this and sometimes people
misread the room maybe
on their level of importance in your life
and I know that sounds
terrible. I'll give you my example.
I had a daughter. I still
do. She's a teenage pain in the ass
but when I had her in 2009
right? I gave birth. I was the
first man to give birth.
You had no. What was that bad Arnold movie?
I don't know. I looked pregnant when she was born, that's for sure.
I ballooned up. But anyway, I had my daughter and we had her christening maybe about a year
or so later, right? And you post some pictures on Facebook or whatever. Hey, we had our little
blessing and our christening and here's the pictures for the family. It was called Junior,
by the way. Junior, that's right. And I remember this.
when I took the bus in New York City. I got on the bus from New York City after work to go back
to my hometown. And one of my high school buds was on the bus with me. So I saw an old high school
bud that I hadn't seen in years on the bus. And he's like, hey, congratulations. I saw you
had a big party for your daughter's christening. Like, hey, yeah, thanks, man. I appreciate it. How you been?
Bring it in. And he goes to me, no joke. He goes, thanks for the invite. And I thought he was
like joking, but he was dead serious.
And I'm like, yo man, we may have been close at one point.
I haven't talked to you in like 10 years.
Like, seriously, how do you expect that invite?
I didn't get a congratulations when my daughter was born.
I didn't get a Christmas card for the past 10 years.
I didn't get a how do you do that I'm in town.
I haven't heard for you ever and you're offended that I didn't invite you to the
christening party?
You want to go to that?
And why would you want to go anywhere, you know?
But he gave me this East Coast, you know, Batchikloops sort of attitude.
Thanks for the invite.
And I'm like, dude, I want to invite you anyway.
But it dawned on me that maybe him and I looked at things differently.
Just like Batyari and Rogers might look at things differently.
And that's the key.
I learned a long time ago.
In fact, when I was a young ward hog, when Rich was a young ward hog.
Like when I was like first in radio, you start to work with people day in and day out.
and it's shocking sometimes when someone leaves
and you don't really hear from him ever again
and you're like, I thought we were boys
and you're like, no, we were co-workers
and it's a realization that
you come to over the years
and I feel that applies to teammates,
guys you share a locker room with, the huddle,
you know, you can be sitting in the bullpen
with someone for eight years.
They get married and it's like,
we were middle relievers together for five years.
Some people are good at separating work and personal,
some people blend it. And I think Aaron Rogers also had a very small wedding from what I'd imagine, right?
That's the other thing, right? He didn't make the cut. Doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate his time with you as a teammate. So I don't know, did he take it personal? Your thoughts on the wedding snub. You know, I have one last thought on this, but we'll get to it right after DB's update. What up, Dan, Byer.
Oh, Dan. Guys, we've got controversy in the WMBA, but I'm going to get to that in a second. I want to tell you the big trade that happened in the NFL today.
The Steelers acquired corner, Jalen Ramsey and tied in Janu Smith in a trade with the Dolphins.
They also get a seventh round pick as part of the deal.
The dolphins are getting safety.
Minka Fitzpatrick and a fifth round pick.
Multiple reports say the Steelers have received calls about T.J. Wap,
but they are not interested in dealing their star.
Edge Rusher, who has been missing off-season activities as he wants a new contract.
ESPN reports the New York Knicks have a second interview set up with Mike Brown about their head coaching vacancy,
while the Jazz and Guard Jordan Clarkson have agreed to a buyout.
Nick Batum is going to be back with the Clippers as he's agreed to a two-year deal worth $12 million.
In the NHL, Toronto Maple Leafs are signing Mitch Martin to an eight-year deal and trading him to the Vegas Golden Knights.
While at Wimbledon, Carlos Alcores, a five-set winner today.
While 12-seed American Francis Tiafo, a straight-sets winner on day one at the All-England Club.
And here's what's going on in the WMBA.
The league is expanding by three more teams by 2030.
So Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia are getting squads.
but the All-Stars squads have been announced.
Caitlin Clark, one of the 10 starters.
But in voting, she was first in fan voting,
third by the media for backcourt players,
ninth in player rankings.
They're all haters.
The players had her ninth in voting for the all-s game.
You, I'd be embarrassed, bro.
Dan, we said this last week.
These women hate on each other at a level that is crazy to me.
And I thought we felt that it got.
better like this season like maybe she's but it's still there she was nine this isn't of all all
stars this is ninth in guards in back court bro that would be like if melb players are like yeah like
showhays number five or six like average judge number 12 like what are we talking about she is the
face and best player in the league what if the other the players of voter yeah we put her top 10
it was pretty good god that's embarrassing so lame it's embarrassing actually yeah it is well
damn thank you dva
Thank you.
Thank you.
You talked about the Steelers.
I'm so intrigued.
And you would say why.
Danny G.
hates that I'm intrigued because it's Aaron Rogers.
But with Aaron Rogers and now Jalen Ramsey and you're four minutes over your time.
By the way.
They got D.K. Metcalf.
I just, I love the over.
It's eight and a half in Vegas.
I double checked.
A lot of sports book have their win total at eight and a half.
I think it's a winning team.
I do.
I don't know how far they go.
But I feel like a lot of these guys are going to be playing with a chip on their
shoulder because a lot of them are deemed like best years behind them they don't got it it's another
you know mediocre stealers team there's a part of me that sort of is going to secretly i think nine 10 wins
easy yeah i think they're secretly might be good and i'm going to pull for them i feel like i want to
see the steelers surprise and it's eight and a half in Vegas so i like the over that's what they're
banking on because the flip side is that the bottom falls out which i don't think they're necessarily
afraid of but i think that they're going all in for 2025 these moves show it no doubt thank you damn buyer
We got more Kavino and Rich, and we got a lot to get to.
Kavino, we're going to play Last One Standing.
We're going to do a little something called knowing the whole story.
There's a couple of sports situations where we don't know the whole story
and something Steve Cohen said.
A bunch of good stuff coming up right here.
Fox Sports Radio, CNN.

Iowa Sam plays this for me for several reasons.
A, because I love the smooth, buttery voice of not only Danny G, but Michael McDonald.
Love me some yacht rock, but don't call it yacht rock.
They get mad at that.
Everyone gets mad. Everyone in the yacht rock genre hates the name.
And I love this song because I never knew what it was really about, even though I heard it
eight million times.
There was one time I actually recorded it with Roger and Dwayne and rerun, and I got in trouble.
Do you know my mom still thinks he's African-American?
Michael McDonald?
Yeah.
It's because of that voice.
He's got so much soul.
She's like,
it's part of my soul collection.
Now, if you're listening to the podcast,
you can say that about the haul of notes too,
some of their songs.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, black guy or not?
This is what a fool believes by the Doobie brothers, right?
Michael McDonald.
The story goes,
you could lower it now, Sam,
because I want to explain,
only to realize it never really was.
She had a place in his life, right?
She had a place in his life, but he never made her think twice as he rises to her apology because she's like, I'm sorry, I don't remember you.
Anybody else would surely know he's watching her go.
What a fool believes, because he built up in his mind that they had something that never really was.
Meanwhile, it makes me think of maybe Bakhtiari really put a lot more emphasis on.
and the relationship he had with Aaron Rogers.
And Aaron Rogers was like, yeah, he was a good guy.
He was my center, but I'm not inviting him to my wedding.
And meanwhile, Bakhtiari is like, I thought we were like best pros.
In fact, I was saying, you were saying they were closer than we thought.
Yeah, you know, I followed Rogers and Bakhtiari and the whole team, you know, over the years.
And, um, Bakhtiari, when Rogers came back for the 2021 season, there had been some drama
between him and the team and sort of post the COVID season, there was just a lot of uncertainty.
and Bactiari greeted Rogers with a custom Aston Martin golf cart
that had like all this, you know, tricked out stuff on it.
And of course, though, Rogers would be like, well,
this was actually just repaying me for several very expensive gifts
that I gave to you, Bactiari.
But if you're changing expensive gifts with your lineman,
he's probably a friend of yours.
Yeah, I don't like to think this way because they're teammates
and everybody's an equal and everyone's a person.
But in reality, he is Aaron Rogers.
So you don't think the friendship for Bactiari men.
more to him than it did for Rogers and Bakhtiari.
I know that sounds terrible, but he's Aaron Rogers and NFL legend, right?
And the reason we bring this up is Bakhtiari publicly posted, congrats to the loves, because
he was at Jordan Love's wedding.
Yeah.
He says, just happy at least one of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding.
Oh, burn, burn.
Maybe he said it playfully, but he wasn't invited, and some people feel snubbed when things
like that happen.
I know, I know that he has cheated on his last five girlfriends,
including the most recent one with me, but I'm different.
He's going to stay.
He's not going to cheat anymore.
That's what this is, Bakhtiari thinking, like, I know he's had flaky relationships,
even with his family.
But, hey, I'm different.
I'm different, man.
We had something.
Yeah, like, I mean, that's different.
Like, I know you don't talk to your mom and dad, but I'm different.
Wow, yeah, that's a good point.
So was he snubbed?
Your thoughts on that, the wedding snub,
but it could be as simple as Aaron Rogers really just had a small thing
where he invited really close friends and family
and that's it. You know. That's it.
It's not getting all sensitive. The Michael
McDonald lyrics really do hit home because
that's something we all have to remember. How you
view a relationship might be different
than how the other person does.
And that's just the truth. All right. So
we're live from the Fox Sports Radio studio
Covino and Rich. And it's
time for our tire rack play of the day.
Aaron Judge had a day.
Yeah, buddy. Pitch. Swung

You're never going to listen to the Doobie Brothers classic the same way again.
Because we've all built up something in our brain to be more than it was.
It was an episode of This Is Us, a show I used to love back in the day where Nikki, the brother, the brother, had this memory of like his first love.
And then he went to like go reunite with her and she's like, I think I remember you.
Yeah.
And that's always a sentiment.
I remember being really sweet.
Meanwhile, this guy yearned for her for 20 years.
Then you have a family member bump into a girl at a bar that he's like,
I had a crazy night with her.
And she's like, I think I remember you.
And he's like, yeah, it's an ego killer for sure.
Yeah.
So, hey, Bakhtiari, Aaron Rogers, kiss and make up.
But yeah, he was not invited to the wedding.
We got more.
Kavino and Rich.
Next.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
First people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it, but, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's,
Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band
with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform? We do some retirement
homes. Those people are starving
for banter. Listen to humor me with
Robert Smigel and friends on the I-heart radio
app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever
you get your podcasts.
Winning on Clay is an art. The rallies are
relentless. And at the French Open,
only the toughest survive. I'd know.
I competed there for decades.
Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs
tennis podcast for no nonsense
breakdowns of the biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments that define Roland Garris.
She's an outsider to win the French fame.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lennar Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now and I actually can win on any surface.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever
reported on a Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman.
Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud.
But how long can this alliance last?
Tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?

Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.
and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where SportsSlice comes in.
I'm Timbo, and every episode we're cutting through the noise,
breaking down the biggest moments in sports
and giving you the real story behind the headline.
And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves,
their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment,
and the stuff nobody gets to hear.
Listen to SportsSlic on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
And for more, follow Timbo Slices Life 12

This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
