So we just wrap UFC 299 as the boy Miles is breaking everything down. He is present on all of our videos. And what a night for Miami, Florida.

You know, very few cities are as full. Fun as Miami, not only for spring break and all the other cool things that happened, but for when we come as the UFC. Every time you're here in Miami, the people are excited. They're ready to watch some great fights. They're loud. But this time we brought another star in Sugar Shaw and Omalley, and he delivered, you know. in terms of stats, he landed more significant strikes than anyone ever in the Bannonweight history. He shut Cheeto Vera out completely over the course of five rounds.

He had the biggest gate in UFC history outside of Connor McGregor. He had 20,000 people in here for a Bannonweight title fight as the headliner. He's a star. But at the end of the day, for all the flash, all the flare, It doesn't work if he can't fight at the level at which he fought tonight. From the very start of the fight, you could see that we weren't watching the same Sean O'Malley that we saw in Boston. And that was only a few months ago. You know, the guy continues to improve at a rate that is kind of unmatched by many.

His angles, his creativity. He, Chino Vera is a traditionally slow starter. But he starts to build as the fight goes on. But Sean never allowed him to. Hold on. Even pink tape tonight because they were trying to do like Sean O'Malley and the pink shorts. Look, the UFC don't like to change the color of the shorts either. So Sean O'Malley having those shorts is a much bigger deal than people want to make, give him credit for.

But he never let Cheeto get gone. this dude was going like he would throw then he would switch dance and then he would throw again and then he would switch stance and he would go uppercut he would go right hand switch pop chito with a straight left

you know he told us that the first fight was the fluke because he was piecing chito up it wasn't as evident as it was tonight tonight it was very clear that shan o'malley was piecing chito up because that's exactly what he was doing. He fought beautifully.

You know, he was presented a canvas and he painted a masterpiece. It's striking his next level. You know, so many people didn't want to give this kid credit for how good he was because it felt like he was getting preferential treatment from the UFC. But not everybody, guys, move the needle like this dude. Not everybody moves the needle like Sean O'Malley.

So even if there was preferential treatment, it was because of the company having the foresight to see what Sean O'Malley could be down the line. And now that investment is starting to pay dividends as he shut out Marlon Cito Vera, 5045, 5045, 5044. Hats off the Cheeto. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged. To be clear, 84 is big to me. not just because of crack. I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know. I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack. So I'm starting to see that there's a through line. We also have AIDS on the table right now. Thank you for finishing that sentence. Yes.

I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Really? Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history. But to take the beating that he took tonight really does prove how next level tough Marlon Cheeto Vera is. That knee that he took early in the fight would have floored anybody. The sound that that knee made was so loud in this arena that we were like, oh my goodness, the fight's over.

Nope, Chito continued to fight. He continued to fight. press and he continued to try to accomplish his goal of becoming the UFC champion. Unfortunately, he ran into a champion that is just clicking on all cylinders right now and is fighting at a level that he can't match. So hats off to the champ, Sean O'Malley. He called out Ilya Teporia. I mean, it's a fun fight.

I'm more into it today than I was before, but I believe that Marab de Walsh Vili will be the next matchup for the champion, and I do believe that is as difficult a matchup as you could get in the Bannamweight Division. But if you are forced to stand with Sean O'Malley at range, you are in trouble. So all Bannam weights, you guys better take this as a PSA, public service announcement, get wrestling, get more comfortable moving your head and being reckless. Because if you're stuck at range with the Sugar Show, you are in trouble. In the co-main event, Dustin Porrier fought against Benoit Sandini. Benoit San Deney was a massive favorite over Dustin Pori.

Every professional fighter when given the option to pick, chose Dustin Poree as the person that they thought was going to win the fight. The odds makers installed Benoit Sandini as the favorite. Not a small favorite. He was a pretty sizable favorite. Fight starts and it doesn't look good for D.P. D.P.'s getting taken down. He's getting physically beat by the younger, bigger fighter. But if you know Dustin Boreen, you know that this guy does not give up on himself. They break, go to the corners.

Daya Davis tells Dustin, this kid's not on your level. It's like he reminds him and wakes him up. Dustin goes out, starts to throw punches. Dustin hits him with an uppercut. Boom. Rock's Benoit. But Benoit has been training and he has to start. So forward fighting that he continues the same path.

Dustin rocks him with a left hand, bang, then hits him with the most crushing right hook, puts him out. And in classic Porriere fashion, big right hand in the end. This tonight was sweet because you always feel like the changing of the guard is only a few short seconds away.

Or it's always relatively close. tonight Dustin Porreier showed that it's not quite yet. We have the same top five as lightweight since 2018. But the reason it stays the same is because these guys are still so damn good. Dustin Porier proved that he's still that damn good tonight. The question now becomes what's next. I feel like Dustin's going to find himself in more of these types of fights because he's fought everybody else in the top five. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in there with a guy like Gamrod, who also got a big win tonight over Rafael dosanjos.

Where's my paper at as I look through the rest of the results of the car tonight? Hand me one of these miles. Appreciate you, Sam. I'm the thank you, my man. I appreciate you guys in your support. Okay, here we go. Let's get this. So, Michael Vinnam Page made his UFC debut.

And he fought well. You know, if you've seen Michael Vennam Page fight, you know what to expect. So we knew what to expect. What I didn't expect, though, was for him to frustrate Kevin Holland so badly that Kevin looked like he was almost like, fuck, I don't want to really be here. I don't want to do this shit if you're not going to fight me. But I think everybody needs to understand that that is what fighting Michael Vennon Page is going to be like in the UFC. His style is so unique, it's so different that if you aren't prepared for it,

you're going to get lost in the sauce. That's what we call it, lost in the sauce. You get lost looking at him, dancing, shibby and doing all his other stuff, the whole time he's hitting you with right hands. Jack Della Madalena had the biggest one of his career tonight against Gilbert Burns. It looked like it was going bad for him. And then he got back to his feet and he got the finish. That was big for Jack Della because it showed that even when he's done,

health adversity, he can get through it, he can adjust, and he can get the job done. And his call out was amazing. I'm sitting next to Sean Shelby, and I said, wow, Sean, that makes your job easy. Nobody calls out shopcott. He goes, nobody. He goes, Jack Della, Shavcott, that would be a fun fight. I said, absolutely. Now, I don't know if it's going to happen, but that would be an amazing fight.

Peoria Yon got back in the wind column by beating Song Yadong. He got push, he got tested, but Fiori Ann still shows that he's viable in the 135 pound weight class. Jailton Almeida's 15-fight win streak is over. Curtis Blades was able to get back to his feet in round two and land some brule back, hammer fist to finish Jailton Almeida. It was amazing. Congratulations to Macy Barber, Mateo's Gamrod, Kyler Phillips, the Matrix, looked amazing And tonight, Philip Lenz, Michelle Pereira, who fought an amazing fight.

And how about the Spain? 6-7, 87-inch reach. We thought that it was impossible for him to replicate those quick finishes once he got to the UFC. He had won three fights in 19 seconds. What did he do? He got Josh Brice now there in 18 seconds. A young, exciting heavyweight prospect. is exactly what we need in the UFC.

Guys, overall, UFC 299 was an overwhelming success. It is one of the best fight cards of the entire year whenever the UFC comes to Miami, and I will never, ever miss it. But at the end of the day, the Sugar Show reigns supreme, and he is still the Bannamweight Champion in the world, and he seems very comfortable in that role. Guys, until next time, like, subscribe.
