All right, guys.
So we got a lot going on in sports in April and May.

NHL playoffs, along with so many other things that we all enjoy.
The Major League Baseball regular season,
get started. So you can either watch that at home on TV or you can be there in person. Because
what's better than being in an arena when someone like Israel at Asana takes on Alex Baheda for
the middleweight championship of the world? It's nothing like it. Nothing compares to being in the
arena for a big event. And today's video sponsored a Game Time app is allowing you to do that
with last minute tickets. Guys, this app is tremendous. I love everything about
it at the very last minute all you do go to the game time app look for what
you want you will get prices that you could never imagine and it does not even
stop at just sports game time gives you opportunities to go to concerts
comedy shows and so many other things with ticket prices that you could never
never imagine so download the game time app right now use the promo code

Again, download the Game Time app today.
Use the promo code DCTV and get $20 off of your first purchase.
Nothing's better than live sports.
So why not get it at a discounted price?
Let's go.
All right, guys.
So I'm here with Gilbert, DeRino Burns.
Derrino, thanks for checking in with me, man.
I appreciate it.
But you've got to be pissed off at this point.
I'm not.
I'm not.
Herbert's pissed off.
He's, I'm not.
Herbert's pissed off.
I'm not.
But you've got to be pissed off at this point.
No, why?
I can't be mad for you.
Why?
Tell me why.
I mean, Doreno.
The other day, my thing, talking about if Mazzvedal wins, with his history with Leon Edwards,
he could be in line for a championship fight.
Kobe Covington is sitting there almost guaranteed in the championship fight.
You have won multiple fights since you lost your championship fight.
There's a new champ.
Why are more people not talking about Doreno Gilbert Burns being on the short list for a championship?
You know why.
But it's got to piss you off.
No, it don't.
It don't.
I love to be the dark horse.
I love when people sleeping on me, don't think about it.
And you know the best, you know what I'm moped off?
Why?
I can't understand it.
Okay, now I'm going to tell you, because I'm planning on having a great performance
in Saturday night, and this guy's talking about me the whole next week.
and I have an opportunity to put a doubt on Dana's mind
and see, oh shit, look how that guy look.
Let's change the plan.
Let's put these guys.
So I have that opportunity.
Why instead of being a complainer,
a guy that's going to cry about,
oh, I'm mad, why they did that?
I have an opportunity to work.
Go out there, beat the crapper of this guy,
put on a crazy performance, get the mic,
talk a little shit.
It's still the show.
I have this opportunity.
Why I'm going to be mad about him?
You know, you've fought back many times.
Many times.
Most guys don't.
Last four times.
You fought Usman.
Yeah.
Then you fought...
Wonderboy.
Wonderboy.
Right?
Shimeyev.
Then you fought Chimaya, who was behind you at the time.
Then you fought Magni.
Who was behind you?
And now you're fighting Mazzvedal.
Four fights.
All behind.
Like, not many people are willing to fight down.
But maybe there.
This is the first time that you fought down where it may benefit you because of his profile.
But what goes into that?
Like just fighting back every time.
Because I have two options.
Or I fight back or sit down and wait.
I'm a competitor.
That's how I grow.
That's how I get better competing.
And I got to beat these guys.
And I think for sure beating the guys on the top five, it says a lot.
But whenever those guys don't want to fight, I'm going to do Islam, Maka-Chay.
have Charles Olivero on these guys.
I'm going to keep a good win streak
and that's going to make it.
You know, like,
I don't think
Islam beat no one in the top ten.
If you see, he never fought...
He never fought Justin. He never fought Dustin.
He never fought.
Chandler? None of these guys.
And he's still a champion.
That's what I'm seeing.
I've seen the same thing.
They don't want to fight. Belau didn't want to fight.
The fight was offered to Belalue.
Yeah, I'm trying to understand, like, why?
What about those top five guys?
Below didn't want to fight.
offered in Brazil the fight wins with Belau's hands you want to fight in Brazil oh no just
got a win but it sounds like he says that people don't want to fight him but the
fight was offered to him he said no and now all I deserve no you said no and I'm not here to
he has his own his own watch to say no I'm not saying but he said no and I'm why I'm
gonna why I deserve no let me beat these guys let me let me have a great performance
and my performance pick to myself,
but I'm not mad.
I'm not mad at Dana.
Dana, why did you do that?
I'm not mad at Kobe.
Kobe's the least that I'm mad.
You know why?
Why?
Because if they call you,
if you're not fighting for one year,
you want to fight,
what are you going to say?
I'm taking the title fight.
For sure, you're taking the title fight.
It's not Kobe's fault.
I'm not mad at Kobe.
Dana is a good promoter.
He put him a fight that it's going to sell us a lot.
I'm not mad.
Everybody seems to get mad at Kobe, though.
I'm not mad at Kobe.
Kobe's doing his thing.
It's easy to get mad at Kobe.
It's easy, but he's doing his thing.
If they call me, if I'm one year, I'm not fighting, they call me during one time.
I'm trying to say, for sure.
So you can't fault you.
I'm not mad at Kobe.
He's doing his thing.
And I have work to do.
Why I'm going to be mad with Kobe with Dave?
No, I have work to do.
I have that guy where he is.
He right across with him.
I have this guy over there.
Like, guys, me, motherfucker.
Like, over 51 fights that he's on paper.
20 more than he's not on paper.
Yeah, not on paper.
So 70-something fights.
That this guy has.
So I'm worried about this guy.
I'm not mad at no one.
I'm worried about this guy.
What do you see in Mazvedal?
I see a guy that's a dog that got a short notice on my place.
I suppose for a Comorio in Abu Dhabi.
I got COVID.
He fought six, seven days notice, make a weight, cut a lot of pounds,
and fought like a dog.
That guy can fight.
Okay, he comes from three losing.
Yeah, but two for Camaro, that was number of,
Number one pound for pound and lost to Colby.
Those guys had a bad blood.
They know each other.
Still a danger guy.
I don't like the fact that he started talking about retirement.
There's never a good thing.
That's never a good thing when you still got to fight.
He only said he retires if he can't beat you.
But he's smart and he put in that pressure on himself.
And I think he deals very good when he put pressure on himself.
And I think he's doing that for this way.
But I think I'm going to beat him.
I think he's not going to retire.
Now he's making those big money, D.C.
It's going to be like made years.
Like fighting, being the draw, the guy that's big fights, making the money, don't win.
But that thing, he's not going to retire after Saturday.
I'm going to beat him, and he's not going to retire.
How much does a win over Mazvedal help you in terms of your profile?
Because the thing that I think, I think the thing that you're missing is the intrigue.
Because you and Kamarro is like the former teammates.
So the story was built.
You don't really have that story with Leon Edwards.
Right?
So I think you need something a little bit different.
And if you beat Masvedol, I think that gives your star and makes it shine enough brighter
that maybe it does put you on the short list for a fight.
That's the plan.
Maybe we don't know.
I hope it does.
But I think a decision win doesn't do much.
But a domination, a finish, a knockout, a Tiki, or a submission does a lot.
for me and that's what I'm looking forward too. I think if I go out there Saturday and I'm on my
zone and I'm on my moment and I just do everything that I train I'll be able to put this guy out
and if I put him out I do believe I put him out just because why just because the pressure the jiu-sitza
the way I hit and the grappling if I have to wrestle I'm going to wrestle if I do get hit hard
I'm going to keep going forward.
And I think he's a dog.
He has a lot on him, but I think I'm a different dog.
I got a lot of them to meet you.
Doreenio, it seems as though you can make this fight pretty straightforward.
Because just like the Magni fight, it could have been tough.
But you use your grappling.
It seemed like nobody does Neil Magny like that.
I haven't really seen nobody do them like you dirtied him up.
Right?
You took him down.
You got him out of it.
You made it look like there were levels between you.
to. Nobody does that to Neil, but nobody does that to Masvedol. Nobody just takes him down
and wipes him out. But if you stand with him, it can be very...
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced
games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way,
the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full
year. Within probably
10 days I'd put on 10 pounds,
I was having trouble stopping the muscle
growth. Listen to Superhuman

A win is a win.
A win is a win. I don't care
which I'm saying. Yep,
that's me, Clipper Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way,
this platform became bigger than I ever
imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take
you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll
talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast. It's
a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing
something bigger.
So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be.

Very, very competitive. What's the approach?
Easy? Are you going to make it fun?
Fun and easy. That's the best way. I need to be. I, I need to be. I.
I need to have fun out there.
And I'm not scary to exchange with this guy.
He's tough.
He's durable.
But the commander put him out.
Yeah.
I don't think he can put him out, too, on the feet.
And if he starts to get a little dutty on the feet,
I can take this guy down.
Take down the defense.
He has a very good take down defense.
But I think he can take him down.
And if I get on top, my guy,
then it's a long night.
He's got good grappling though.
I've seen him survive on the ground with good guys.
Very good.
Very good grappling, but I study him so much.
I break that guy down every area.
I know how he get up.
I know how is the side that he defends better.
Which takedowns he likes, which takedowns he don't like.
I break that guy down and I think I get a good point that I can be very offensive and be very effective.
COVID was able to control him on the ground.
Yeah, but Kobe cannot grab him.
But not put him in any danger.
Kobe cannot grab him.
You don't think Kobe's a very good grapple?
No, no.
Kobe, he's great wrestling, great cardio, not a great grappler.
He don't finish.
He who he submits.
He puts everyone down.
He don't do much.
He control, ground and pound.
But not a finisher.
Finisher, no, he's not a finisher.
Great grappler, don't get me wrong.
I'm not throwing, not hating on Kobe, but he's not a grappler.
Yeah.
You think that if you have that much time on control on the ground and told?
100.
He's over.
Really?
I guarantee it's over.
If I put him down, same position that Kobe got a full guard, half guard.
a little bit on his back close to the cage, he's over.
You'll find that submission?
He's over.
You think that's the easiest way for you to win, though, is to submit him?
I have a couple ways.
I think if the right hand...
The right hand lands because you thought so hard.
If the right hand find his face, he's over, too, my brother.
I think that right hand is one way.
The grappling and wrestling is another way.
I have two ways to finish this fight.
A lot has been made about him fighting in Miami.
Right, you trained down in this area too.
Does that matter to you that when you step and you hit the curtain,
that the crowd's going to be like behind him so strong?
No.
Well, you felt it the other way in Brazil.
Did it prepare it?
Did it motivate you?
Did it propel you?
A little bit, but whenever that Bruce Buffer stopped talking,
they locked that octagon, he's all business, my bro.
I don't care.
I don't hear.
I don't hear him.
Locked in.
I'm looking for this guy.
Ready to go.
Listen to my corners.
It doesn't matter if they booing.
It don't change.
Apex, empty arena, I do the same thing.
So it's a little better.
You feel the adrenaline, but not particular like that would be against you, you know.
And this guy's a dog, but he's another dog on the other side.
You know, so many people talk about who he is and the expectation and the name value and the recognition,
but you're a massive favorite.
like a massive favorite to win this fight.
I was talking to Ben Ashkran the other day,
and Ben Askran obviously doesn't have a great feelings for Mazvedal,
but he thinks that you're going to smash him.
But that's kind of like the overwhelming thought from so many.
But with that expectation, does that come with a lot of pressure?
No, really, I don't give a shit if I'm the favor.
I don't. I really don't, D.C., I don't give a shit.
And I respect this guy.
He's danger, bro.
But danger's where for you?
Where are the dangers?
For you?
Because you're a good striker.
You're a good grappler.
He's a good striker.
He's a good striking.
He's a leaky on striking.
Good take down defense.
I think he's going to start crazy.
Like he started with Camaro and Abadavada.
I think that's the mind that I'll see.
He comes in with a lot of pressure driving, come crazy.
It can be decided right there.
If he comes that crazy, something might land it.
I think he's going to try to force me to get a bad shot
and then try to throw something right there
and make me a little bit resistant to get on a wrestling.
I kind of see a lot of scenarios.
And even with all the hard scenarios,
I can see myself beating that guy.
Yeah.
And not going to a decision.
Because I think that, I felt like in the Kamaru fight,
he started so fast because it was such a short notice,
he had to get him out of there.
Do you anticipate him having a full training camp
that he would still start that fast against you?
I think he's going to start a little first.
You think he has to start fast?
I think he has to start fast.
If I get my pace, if I get on my rhythm quick, yeah.
You're going to be in trouble.
I feel like you're holding back a little bit.
I feel like you're trying to like,
I feel like you're holding back in the sense
that you don't want to be disrespectful.
No, I don't want to be disrespectful.
It's what it feels like.
It feels like you're holding back, though,
because like the look on your face when you say,
If I find my rhythm, though, like, it's just levels.
It levels.
I still respect this guy.
Like I said, he's a dog, 51 fights on paper.
Plus the fight is not on paper.
Superstar, at home, but it levels, bro.
The commit that I have with the sport, the professional that I am today,
is levels to the sport.
And I'm going to show it.
He can be on stand-up.
It can be on the ground.
It can be on wrestling.
I think I'm bettered this guy everywhere.
And I'm going to show it.
And no disrespect from not underestimating this guy.
He's a tough opponent.
But I think I'm on a different level.
It sounds like you are respected him tremendously.
But there's underlying belief that you get through this.
And if you get through this in the way that you intend to, it will be impressive.
Do you get on that microphone with Joe Rogan and you call for a title shot?
And you say, hey, look at what I did to this dude, especially if you do it better than Kobe Covington did it?
I would do better than Kobe Covington.
I didn't come on.
I had seven rounds to finish this guy.
Kobe had five and didn't finish.
I can get it done in three rounds for sure.
And I don't know.
I don't want to get a step.
I don't know what I'm going to say,
but I'm planning to do something crazy
that people are going to get crazy with that.
UFC 287 is Saturday.
Gilbert Burns fights in the co-main event
against GameBred Jorge Mosvedal.
And if you listen within the words,
it sounds like this man saying that he's going to finish this fight.
You finish this fight.
You got as good a case as anybody for a championship fight against the new champion Leon Edwards,
who I'm pretty sure you've watched.
Yes.
And you've seen some things in him.
You feel like that's a favorable matchup, too?
That's a good matchup for me.
Hina and Kobe.
He and Kobe, a good matchup for me.
So we might be looking at a future champion.
Yes, sir.
Gilbert Doreno Burns in the co-main event this weekend.
Check my man out.
Also, follow him everywhere.
