head of UFC 296 this weekend thanks for checking in with me my man how you been bro how you feel I mean you are as you look like you live in Miami now with all that jewelry and shit like how's everything going man

everything's good man I'm the king of Miami so you know I got to represent for the city the 305 but everything's been great man just been working hard in the gym getting better started a non-profit for you know our first responders of veterans called America's Champions Foundation and you know just been giving back some of my time

to some of our local heroes and just, you know, being active in our community in the Miami. You've been going for a while now. Outside of the work that you're doing in the community, in the gym, obviously, preparing for your comeback, what does the last year and a half look like for you in terms of just your life in general? How much has it changed? Yeah, I mean, it's changed a lot. You know, it's been, you know, I've been held from doing my livelihood. I love to fight, and that's what I love to do. And it's not my fault that I haven't been able to You know, it's other guys ducking the fights and turning down fights with me. And, you know, we all know I wouldn't be in this position if I was turning down fights and refusing fights.

So, you know, my last year and a half had just been a lot of hard work, a lot of taking those frustrations and anger out in the gym, trying to level my craft up a notch. So, you know, I'm not wanting to sit back and play sympathy and, oh, feel bad for me. No, I'm wanting to work hard and get better. So, you know, you can watch all the film. You've watched on me from the past. It's not going to be the same guy you see on Saturday night, Daniel. Most people can't afford to be out that long. They lose something.

Do you feel like you've lost anything in terms of the way people perceive you or your reception that you're going to receive on Saturday by being out of the octagon so long? Absolutely not. You know, I have the most famous person on planet Earth coming to watch me, Donald Trump, you know, so, you know, I gained stuff in my off time. Everybody, you know, was mysterious. They didn't know what I was doing.

You know, I went quiet because I didn't want to talk to me. I just wanted to focus on my work ethic. I wanted to focus on my craft of getting better every day. So I don't need to come out every day and take a picture when I'm in the gym, you know. That doesn't mean that I'm not working. You know, I love to work hard, you know. You know more than anybody. You recruited me to Oklahoma State, you know.

We tried. We tried. We tried. We tried. I should. That was one of my biggest. You should have. I wish I did. But you still became an All-American, right?

So you can't really question anything. So let me ask you this. That was my next question, actually. The president, you know, former president is going to be in the building this weekend. That still has to feel crazy to you. knowing that you have that type of support coming in your corner that a former president of the United States now really has taken an interest in you and your career this dude don't have time right like he doesn't have the time to be going to watch you fight but he always makes it a point to be there

like that has to still kind of take you by like my god I've actually made it yeah it's it's very humbling you know he invites me to his house in moroago you know he signed this beautiful suit the other day yeah that's crazy my make America great again I got my you know you know I got my, his mug shot on the back. Oh, my goodness. I didn't even know who was on that. Yeah, so, you know, it's surreal. Doesn't feel real sometimes.

From where I came from, a small little town in Oregon, you know, I'm a blue collar family type guy. And, you know, to be at this point in my career where I had the most famous person on earth coming out to support me, it's amazing. I know he doesn't have a lot of time, but he makes time for me. He calls me. He gives me game plan. He's like, Colby, this is what you need to do in the fight.

I don't want to reveal what he said. President Trump can fight, President Trump can fight me. He could fight. He was a wrestler. He was a wrestler. He was a wrestling. He can fight, man. Dude, he got lunchboxes.

Bro, he got lunchbox. He'll knock something to the fuck out. He's very big. He's very surprising how big he is. When I met him for the first time, but you're going to sit up here and tell me the president of him fight. Bro, he used to wrestle. He's a wrestler like us, man.

He's born of us. For real? For real? When I was in the White House, he told me. I didn't know that. Yeah. You know that there's a wrestling mat in the Capitol building? Is there?

I swear. I told my youth. I promised you, I took my youth wrestling club. Oh my God. And I was in a Mark Wayne's all. office, the senator from Oklahoma, he was about to fight a couple weeks ago. My team got to train in the bottom of the Capitol building. There's a wrestling mat down there.

Oh, my gosh. Can you believe that? I can't believe that. Fucking amazing, bro. What an experience. What an amazing experience. All right. Let's get back on track because I got a job.

You can talk wrestling all day. After the miles of it all fight, right? It's got to feel good kind of putting that chapter behind you. How quickly did you know that you'd be fighting for the championship? Because you weren't in England until this year, right, when, You weighed in. Nobody knew you were weighing in, by the way, and we knew that COVID Covington was next. How soon did you know that you'd be the guy fighting for the belt next? You know, I knew as soon as the other guys had turned me down, you know, they wanted to make a big...

Who turned you down? Come shot Chamaive. You know, they wanted to make a blockbuster main event with him. They gave him the easiest fight in the division, a guy, and Nate Dea, Diaz, the soy boy from Stockton. He's the easiest fight in the division. He's out there missing weight by 10 pounds, like an unprofessional, laughing it off. you're just disrupting the UFC main event business on a pay-per-view, and you're making a joke of it, you know, and they set that fight up.

They're like, hey, we'll give you this easy fight, show that you can make the way, and then you can fight Colby because he's been running his mouth. Oh, let's go, let's do this, you know? And I thought it was an easy fight. You know, I know he can't go five rounds with me. He's gassed in three rounds. Imagine what happens in five rounds with the Cardio King.

So he turned me down. They tried to make that fight for six, eight months, and there's a couple other guys that turned me down. I'm not going to give them spotlight or talk about their names. And, you know, here we are. you know, now I get the title fight. So, you know, I didn't really know until probably, you know, March when I was like, when they told me I was going to be the back of fighter.

I was ready to headline a pay-per-view. I'm a company man. I love this company more than anything in the world. Shout out to Dana White, Ari, Immanuel, Hunter, Campbell. But I didn't know I was going to be in this position. I just wanted to fight the biggest and best fights this company has the offer. So Leon Edwards is what you're fighting this weekend. But you don't call him Leon Edwards.

It's Leon Scott. Why do you call him Leon Scott? I don't, I don't, that's all over my head. I don't get it. You don't get it? Again, I went to Oklahoma State, bro. Yeah. I was like, why do you call him that?

I mean, there's people that are in England that are a lot more famous than Leon Scott. Okay. Okay. Now his new nickname is low IQ Leon. So I'd love to know, Daniel. Can someone find out in the media, like what is his level of grade? Like, education. Like, did he get through elementary school?

No, I honestly want to know. I don't think he got through elementary school. Why? Because he's dumber than a box of ross. Look at the things the guy says. I mean, he's just, oh, he's just dumb. Okay. Were you surprised, though, that he was able to beat Usman twice?

Were you surprised watching the first fight in Utah when he had kicks him? But the second fight, you have to admit that that was impressive for him to go from doing what happened in Utah, where he was losing the fight to Camaro, to come back and beat him in that fight in England, where it felt pretty certain that he had won that fight. Well, the second fight, he got destroyed and dominated the first fight with his mid. Oh, yeah, the third fight, I mean, sorry. Yeah, the second fight in Utah, it was complete luck. I mean, I mean, it was a Hail Mary shot.

I mean, anybody, that's what makes the UFC so great. This is unpredictable. Any second in the fight, you can get your lights shut off and you can win the fight. So I don't think that's impressive in that fight because he landed a lucky Hail Mary flu shot. You know, the third fight, though. The third fight, you know, look, dude, have you not seen all the cheating he did in that fight? He grabbed the fence three or fourth time. He kicked the nuts.

he's grabbing Usman's gloves three or four times, poking him in the eyes, kicking him in the nuts. Like, dude, it's on the internet. It's circulating the internet. How many times he cheated in that fight? So, I mean, Edward Sizerhans, I mean, he's just a cheater. He just got so many names for him. So you said he's a cheater.

Yeah. But when you think of him as a fighter, right? We, as the people that are going to be tasked to call in the fight this weekend says, he's a slick striker, improved takedown defense. What do you think of Leon Edwards has a fight? I think he's a quitter. Really?

Yeah, I think he has that quitter in him, and you just got to take him to that place, and I'm willing to go to that dark place, and he doesn't like that dark place. So the dog and me is coming out on Saturday night, Daniel, and I'm going to bring out the quitter and him. Leon said that your spoiled brat attitude got you this title fight. That's, I mean, dude, oh, my spoiled brat attitude?

He said your spoiled brat attitude got you to title fight. Let's talk about his resume. He beat a 40-year-old, Nate Diaz. He beat a 40-year-old washed-up RDA, a guy after I already destroyed him years prior. A 40-year-old Donis-Soroni, Ricky Waters. What is his, how is his record? Exactly, who is that?

We don't even know who he is. That's his resume. Like, who is he beat to be here? He's unbeaten in 11 fights, Colby. I mean, fighting a bunch of guys that shouldn't be there, you know? I mean, now he's going to fight, you know, a real fighter that's going to be in his face and it's not going to back down to anything. His striking ain't that slick.

You know, you can watch all the tape you want on me, but I'm not the same fighter I was a year and a half ago. So you're going to see an improved version of myself, and I'm going to expose Leon. I'm going to show the fraud that he is. And the people hate him, the company hate him. So, you know, it's good. They brought America's champ to relieve him of his placeholder duties. Where did this, like, is this competition? Like, this thing with Leon Edwards?

Is it just competition, or is there, like, something legitimate in the way? You're like, there's something about this guy that I just don't really like. Well, it's personal, first off. He has something that's mine. Yeah. You know, that undisputed title. There's nothing more that Colby Chaos Covington wants than having that underspyed title. So besides that, just him.

just as boring, you know, he makes literally Uzman look like James Brown. How? How? Dude, he has no charisma. The guy, there's more charisma with the wet mop in the corner of this building. It's a joke. I mean, the guy makes a mockery of this sport. He doesn't want to fight anybody.

He wants to sell the title. He doesn't want to fight anybody. He just wants to sit there and just take his little paychecks as champion from his little sponsors. He doesn't want to come out here and defend. He turned down a home soil date in the UK. Could you imagine if they're like, hey, we're going to go to Stillwater, Oklahoma Day, We're going to let you defend your title on Stillwater. Yeah, you'd have been there.

In Gallagher Arena. Was he, did he offer you, him, you in the summer? Yeah. When they went back to London. Yeah, when they went back to London, they wanted to flip it from the ESPN card to a pay-per-view. And Dana's like, we want to flip this. We're going to give him a home soil. He's on that day to fight in his backyard and defend in his home turf.

And he turned it down. He said an all-time fuck you to the UK fans. I hate you UK fans. You suck. You don't deserve it. But it's better for me. Come to U.S. soil. You've been the interim champion.

it mean to you to become the undisputed champion award this weekend it would mean everything you know to add to my list of accomplishments in history that i've created in this sport you know i'm the people's champ america's champ the king of miami donald trump's favorite fighter and now undisputed champion on saturday night so it would be a great mark for my legacy in the history that i made in this sport and you know i can't wait for saturday night you kind of take aim at different people right so you win that belt this weekend you and shan strickland are now kind of going back and forth the double champ talk there's a lot of it, right? Because now Islam Mahachev said that he would want to go up to fight at 170.

You are saying that you would want to fight Sean Strickland. Leon's saying that he would want to fight Sean Strickland. Is this real? Like, is it becoming just wishful thinking to think that I want to become a double champion? Are you really intent on trying to go up and challenge a Sean Strickland or Drick's Duplice if you won to fight this weekend? I want to keep making history. You know, only fighter to ever go to the White House. only fighter to ever hang out with a sitting president of the office.

I want to be a triple champion. Who's ever been a triple champion? Whoever said he going to heavyweight maybe and try to make. He could try, you know, but, you know, he's a good striker, but I don't think he's a well-rounded fighter like myself. So, you know, I want to fight him all. Who doesn't want to fight Sean Strickland? It's the easiest fight anybody could get, you know?

The guy's dumber than a box of rats. I mean, he's talking about women only deserve to be in the kitchen. Like, oh, I'd love to have, I'd love to see him have that talk with my friend, Candace Owens. Talk about Candace Owens being in the kitchen. She's one of the smartest humans on Planned Earth. She would walk circles around him and make him look dumb and show that he deserves in the kitchen more than she deserves in the kitchen.

And then Makachev, you know, that's the greatest storyline. You know, it's the Rocky three storyline. Drago versus Rocky, Russia versus USA, USA, wrestling. So I think that's a great storyline. I think that would be a great fight for the fans. Kobe, I had Kamar Usman on my show yesterday. I was very surprised at how much praise he gave you. he said to me, because I was talking about some of the things you say, because you say a lot,

you were talking about draws and everything. So I asked Usman straight up, you fought them both. Who's the draw? He said, because you said the UFC, or Leon thinks that the UFC wants you to be the champion, because you're the draw. I needed to know who's the draw because I know you get the pay-per-view check from John Jones, and then I get the pay-per-view check from Steepay. I know the difference in the draw.

He told me you're the draw. He told me he made more money with you, but he was talking about your toughness and your durability. Do you think that's a little bit overlooked because you're brash? People don't really respect you for that toughness on top of the stark quality and ability that you have? Yeah, definitely. Everybody loves to overlook me and say, you know, my past accomplishments. Oh, these guys are old. Oh, they weren't ranked.

Oh, they're this, they're that. They just find these narratives that are fake news all the time. So often I get overlooked all the time. but everybody knows on the A side in this fight. No one is showing up to watch Leon. Is he bringing the Royal Family? No. Is he bringing the Spice Girls? No. Is he bringing Barrington the Bear or whatever his name is?

No. Is he bringing in 007? No. But I'll tell you one thing. Leon can go double O fuck himself. Kobe. All right. Who's he bringing? He's not bringing nobody. Nobody cares about him. I'm bringing the most famous person on Earth on Saturday night. Everybody's coming to the Tune because they want to see the Colby show.

The only people that are going to be cheering Leon on Saturday night are just my haters. He's just borrow my hairders for the night. He doesn't sell tickets. He doesn't sell paper views. No one cares about him. He's dull. He's bland. And Saturday night,

he's going to go back to the prelims where I send him. You're fighting Leanna was this weekend. I got two left. But I would say Camaro was giving you all this praise. Are you in Camaro Ushman going to be friends as his ticket is over? Because the way he was talking yesterday, it sounds like it might be possible. Like it doesn't feel like you in Mazvedal.

Because I feel like in all that time you guys spent the oxygen. There's a level of respect that he gained four years. you. Are you guys going to be friends, Kobe? You know, I don't know. I don't kiss and tell. Maybe we do, but, you know, that's a reserve. I'm chaos. I'm unpredictable. We might be friends or maybe we're in a trilogy fighting. I'm fighting him again, because I do feel like I'm a better fighter than him. I feel like I won seven out of the ten rounds that I fought with him.

You know, he had a couple rounds that he might have got off me, but I do feel like I beat him in the Madison Square Garden. And so did every single fan that was in that arena that night. They told me when I walked out, Colby, how did you not get your hand raised? Those judges screwed you. So, you know, I think we could be in a trilogy fight, you know, and maybe we're fans after that. What should we expect this weekend? What is your ideal ending?

What does your story look like on Saturday, live from T-Mobile Arena? Yeah, I'm getting my hand-race at all cost. It doesn't matter what it takes. You're going to see a new version of Colby Chaos Coventon that you haven't seen before, and there's nothing more in the world that Colby Chaos wants than that uneasputed title.
