Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's
superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Getting good yesterday.
We kind of went deep dive on Steep A versus Jones for UFC 295 in Madison Square Garden.
And while I get excited, I'm even more excited now because that card's filling up.
Last night, we got great news on some big championship fights to end the year.
we get
Yeriparosha versus Alex Paheda
Alex Pereira
I keep saying that wrong like
how long will it take me
to recognize that it's Pereira
and not Pajara
because a lot of Brazilians
call the R
the H and the whole
confusing thing
but we respect them
and I respect them
and I should honor him
and call him by the right name
is Pereira
Alex Pereira
takes on Europe Oscar for the light heavyweight championship.
We have Brandon Royville gets a shot against Alexander Pantosia,
Alessandre Pantosia, and then we also get Kobe Covington versus Leon Edwards.
Now, when you think about these three fights,
which one are you most excited about?
Which one I'm most excited about?
I'm most excited about Covington versus Edwards.
For me, personally, because I know how good Leon has gotten.
I also know how close Kobe Covington has been on so many occasions.
And I know that this was going to be fantastic.
But when I think about the new co-made event of UFC 295,
one of the most interesting parts of this to me is,
Pereira hasn't been here long, right?
This is a guy that many thought earned the championship opportunity
because he had fought Izzy and kickboxing.
He had beaten Izzy in kickboxing.
So he got kind of pushed to the front of the line.
he goes up to 205,
beats the former champion
Jan Behovic, who beat Israel
and Asana, becomes a normal contender,
Jamal Hill goes down with an injury,
the former champion, Europe, Pohasca,
who had an injury, comes back,
and now we have these two fighting for the title.
This is a fantastic matchup,
because you have a great power striker
in Alex Pereira,
but you also have a great power striker
in Yeripa, another guy
that can knock you out
in so many ways, a guy that really did feel like when he won that championship,
we were in line for a very long championship run.
And then the injury derails that Jamal he'll fight so valiantly up in Brazil.
But Jamal goes down.
It's supposed to be him and Yuri.
Now it's Alex and Yuri.
When I look at this fight and I look at the matchup,
I couldn't imagine a better matchup for the light heavyweight championship
because you have a guy in the former champion versus a former light heavyweight champion,
both looking to make a massive impression in his return to the octagon and Alex Pereira
in his second appearance at light heavyweight Madison Square Garden, unbelievable environment,
unbelievable atmosphere now has hold the two championship fights.
The UFC really is rolling out the red carpet for the last part of the year because look at
what we have in Abu Dhabi, we have Islam and Charles, we have Paulo Costa and Hamzat,
Then you go to New York, you get Jones and Steepay, you get Yuri and Alex.
Then you go to Vegas and you get Roy Val versus Pantosia and Kobe versus Leon Edwards.
Dude, it does not get better to end a year.
These are phenomenal fights, and it starts with the champ Machachev,
but then when we get to New York City, we got a massive fight card.
And when you add those two, you could have did.
in Madison Square Garden with just Miotius versus Jones.
And I don't know how many complaints you would have got about that fight
because it's such a big fight.
It's such a historical fight.
But when you add this one in there, it makes it even better.
You're Prohashka, the former light heavyweight champion versus Alex Pereira,
the former middleweight champion.
It's like two times, guys.
We have the light heavyweight champ former in Jones.
The heavyweight champ now against the former heavyweight champion,
Miotich.
we have the same for the middleweight champ Alex
and the former light heavyweight champ
year in Prohoshka.
Madison Square Garden is always a very special event.
This time is going to be even better.
It's hard in the middle of football season
to do pay-per-views
because people get excited about football
and it comes to focus.
We all do it. I do it myself.
But when you got a pay-per-view like this,
the celebrities will be out in Madison Square Garden.
And then we fast forward a few weeks when we get to Vegas.
Kobe's talking to Leon Edwards is the fight that I'm most interested in because, like I said at the top, Kobe's been close.
Leon has improved leaps and bounds from when he got to the UFC to the 11 fight unbeaten Street to fighting Kamar Usman the first time and losing the vast majority to fight to fighting Kamar Usman the second time in London and win.
the vast majority of the fight.
Leon Edwards' improvements have been so drastic and so vast
that it's hard to imagine a time where he couldn't have wrestled
or he would get taken down over and over again.
His jump between that first Uspin fight to the second fight was really,
really impressive, but then my question becomes this, guys.
It's one thing to fight a wrestler.
It's another thing to fight a wrestler.
wrestler like Kobe Covington.
As I'm making sure I got my notes correct here, guys.
I know y'all like to say the boy D.C.
don't study, but trust me, I am prepared for everything that I do.
Kobe Covington, love him or hate him.
You have to respect that he is a tremendous competitor.
He is one of the hardest working guys you'll ever meet.
And if he's not one of the hardest working guys that you've ever met,
you know some really hardworking people.
because for Covington to have had the career that he has had,
it really is amazing.
He's not the fastest.
He's not the strongest.
He's not the biggest.
But we're talking about a guy that became a multiple time NCAA All-American.
We're talking about a guy that fought for the UFC championship two times.
It is now fighting for it for the third time.
We're talking about a guy that was an interim champion.
We are talking about a guy that while you could say all these things about him,
that may not jump off the page,
he takes all those things that some may think are deficiencies,
and he applies them just enough and just right enough
to be able to put himself in position to become the champ time and time again.
He's held a portion of that belt before,
and now he's trying to get the full version of the UFC championship
by beating a guy in Leon Edwards,
who, as I said before, is one of the most important.
approve fighters we've seen in a really long time.
The co-main event is Brandon Roy Vell,
taken against Alexander Pantosia.
When you watch Pantosia win the belt from Brandon Moreno,
it would be hard to imagine he could be in a more interesting fight,
a more fun fight.
Enter Brandon Royvile,
who is all fun.
He's all fun.
You watch Brandon Roy Val,
and I still believe that his best performances against Kai Kar-France in Abu Dhabi,
he buzzed right through him because I know how good Kai is.
Buzz right through him.
And then time and time again, Roval continues to win.
I remember when Roval made his debut,
he was a guy that had a full-time job and just was so happy to be here.
Now he finds himself on the verge of becoming the UFC champion.
That is why this sport,
is so special
because you see people
from all walks of life
a probation officer one day
trying to become a UFC champion
the next. A kickboxer world champion
one day becoming the UFC champion.
A guy that dominated all across Russia
come to the UFC in this short time.
He's the UFC champion.
Now trying to get it again.
That is what makes this sport
so much better than most.
It's worldwide
and it is
the most honest thing that you can ever do fighting.
Nothing will tell you the truth like becoming the mixed martial artist.
Because if you don't do the things that you're supposed to do, it will be put on display.
You will be exposed.
And that's what happens a lot in the UFC.
But when you do do it right, when you do do it correct, when you do work hard and you
apply yourself the right way, you see people like Brandon Roy Val.
You see people like Alex Pereira.
You see people like Yuri Prohoshka.
You see people like Alessandre Panxosia,
Pantosia.
You see those guys.
And those are the stories that we are drawn to.
And luckily, guys, we get to experience that to end the year.
That's massive news for all UFC fans.
If that ain't enough, how about I do a giveaway?
As we get ready and we get close to UFC 296 in Vegas,
DC's got you.
All the details will follow soon.
But I'm excited.
First and foremost, I'm a fan of this thing
and I love fighting.
So it's fun for me
to look ahead to these fights and these matchups.
They're going to be unbelievable.
Guys, like, subscribe,
tell a friend and tell their friends
that DC's got a YouTube channel
and I'm giving you content almost daily,
almost daily.
Get those comments.
Tell me who you picking those fights
And hell, maybe one day I'll bring one of you on here so that we can have a little bit of a conversation.
All right?
Until next time.
Peace.
