So, Sean Strickland attacks him about this story. right about his wife writing the book you saw that right yeah then ian tells a story about his wife

in the elevator telling him to fight how i'm not you're this no so he said so after sean strickland let me fix your collar there makes this whole thing about his wife and say it how she tells him to do all this shit ian tells the story about how one time him and his wife were in the elevator and she was telling him fight him fight him like fight him and then when fight him what in person in person in real life, just in real life, in the elevator. She was telling Ian to fight Hamzot in the elevator. No. I swear to God. And Ian said,

when they got out, she goes, oh, you're such a pussy. I mean, Chris, why would he tell that story after Sean Striplin does that? Well, this is recently. This was a, he said this story after Sean Trickland told, said he, she wrote him. Why would he tell that story?

I mean, a part of me feels really bad for this dude. For you to have, you come into the fight week, And you have everyone talking about your wife. That's awful. I wouldn't be able to handle it either. Like, this is, that would be a nightmare. And then for him to do that, like, I don't know, he's making it worse for himself.

That's what I was thinking. I was like, why would he tell that story? That's really bad. Unless, unless, unless they're smarter than everybody and they're just trying to paint her as that. I think they go with it. Right there, you kind of go with it. Put out a video. And it said like wagging on there and everything.

He's trying to roll it. He's trying to pretend like he's cool it and their laughing. about it, but deep downside, you cannot be cool with all these people talking about it. Listen. God, hell, it looks terrible. It is, the whole thing is suspect. You know, I feel bad for the kid. I think the kid, he's got a try to tell him.

It seems like she's very in control of his life, and she's on top of it. I mean, she's way older. She got him super young. She knew what she was getting into, and I don't know if he did. And now we're in this tough position where the whole world's seeing it. Yeah. And that's tough because what do you do? You can't just get a divorce.

No, well, he's, you don't. Oh, he loves his wife, right? Loves his wife, has his kid. I just don't get why he would say the story. The story to me is like, I would start telling stories about how loving and caring she is to kind of try to switch the narrative because that would kind of, that felt like that kind of fed into the idea of what Sean's like, Sean says some crazy shit. Yeah. Right? Sean says crazy shit like women should just stay in the kitchen, which is not true.

But it almost fed into that idea, right? Because now you're saying, well, it seems like she's in control. role of his life. But part of that is because I just told you that story that he told him. You know, if a wife is telling you to try to fight in another UFC fighter in the elevator, and if you don't, you're a pussy, this is bad. This is bad. Is it, she's just trying to get maybe she's joking. Maybe she's joking. She wants some drama to happen. Maybe she's joking. Maybe she's joking. They're bigger to the YouTube, right? And big social media. They're obsessed with that. They want to get as many likes as possible. And I think that's why, you know, he goes

in the gyms. He's being filmed all the time. People don't like it because, you know, these documenting every bit of it. There's no sent to thee within the team. It's kind of horrible because it keeps getting like, it feels like, oh, so Leon Edwards' coaches said they put him out of the gym. Then now, Vicente Lucke saying he can't go back to Killcliffe. It's like

this kid is like he loves that nomad lifestyle, but it feels like he's going to be forced to kind of live it, even if he doesn't necessarily want to. And maybe that's because of all that stuff that you know, you're saying. And what a turnaround. This kid... He was universally loved. Everybody loved them. And so he didn't care what people thought. Look what he said.

This is why he's getting so much slack. What did he say about Neil Magny and his kids? That was bad. Neil Magny, he says, you know, he spanked his kids or something in an interview. Guess what? He's a parent. He's allowed to spank his kids if he thinks that's best for his kids. So for him to come out when he was like a one-year-old and try to portray Magny as a guy

who now, you know, abuses his children, that is a, that is something you don't just say about somebody. That's messed up. And so all of a sudden, you start seeing all these things come out about him. everyone rightfully so because of things he said in the past about other people he's going to get all the hate John Strickland came at him for that and then we get the identity was going to sue it like there's no real suing in fighting there's just no suiting fighting hold on guys the Logan pole remember Logan Paul was going to sue it no no he don't get to sit he's not his wife his wife is not suing his wife is

suing that was just a threat no no that is legitimately happened see what's wrong with you you You make shit up. No, this is legitimately. She's actually suing. 100%. Yeah. That was a big deal. He couldn't say certain things.

He had tons of lawsuits coming out of him before that fight. Has that ever happened in the build up to a fight where somebody is being sued? Mike Tyson fell on the ground and bit Linux Lewis and they didn't sue it. This goes into, does it ever go too far the promotions? And this brings us to Kobe Covington. Oh, my God. That was awful. That was awful.

I didn't like that, bro. I didn't like that. Okay. I didn't like that. This is the other side. I didn't like that. not like it. I feel like you're about to like condone his action. But we always have to look at both sides. Okay. Okay. Okay. I don't like it. I hate what he said. That's as low as you can. Well, because

here's the deal. Let me ask you this. How many things is Connor said that is so dark bad. Yes, yes. And look at what happened after the fight. What? Kabeep jumped over the case to go fight with him. But how much money did they all make because of that? Kibb never has to fight again. No, you're right. All of his friends and family, everyone around them is taking care for the rest of their life. He's got, he could have Ferraris on top of Ferraris. And the amount of money that has probably just been generated for this fight with Kobe Covington. And who's your finding? Leonette.

Oh, my God. I cannot believe you just said that. Bro, you're working the show. No, no, stop right. They're talking about I'm the one. Listen, I'm the one. There's about I'm the one that doesn't do her research. This is the main event again?

I would never do this. Here? I never would never go to this low. I would never go to this low. I would never do that in my life. Let me tell you what. There's plenty of things I know about fighters, fighters I fought. Yes.

You know, you could, I would want, maybe a little. Part of me would be like, oh, this would be great sell, right? That's what I was. It's almost like selling your soul. But that's what I want to say. But that's what I want to say. When we're at these press conferences, nothing or the vast majority of it is not just for the moment. He thought about saying that.

He thought about maybe saying that about Leon Edwards and his father. Because you don't come up with that. I'm going to drag you to the gates of hell. Seven layers of hell. Oh, whatever. He said hair and then he messed up. And then he said hell. And maybe he just got pissed off.

He said hair. He messed up. He mumbled a little bit And then he was like, I'm going deep. That was as dirt, man. You know what the problem was? Yeah, he was murder, gang related. Here's the problem.

You saw a real action from Leon Edwards. He grabbed the fucking thing and threw it at him. He was, you saw it was a real reaction. So now there's more bad blood to it than ever, but I promise you, I took an early nap. 4.30, I went to bed. I woke up to so many messages saying, man, Kobe Covington is something else.

This is bullshit. we don't like it. So many people are disappointed. But it's like Kobe Covington, Sean Strickland, and the guy that Kobe talks about all the time, President Trump,

they have a lot of supporters. So for as much as some people may go, oh, Kobe Covington, there are a lot of people that are going to be like, well, sell the fight, like you.

But you actually say, where he's selling a fight. I know. But he has to think about it. You have to be doing it to sell a fight. Are you having a dirtbag? But he had to be thinking about,

we hear from other people. I would never talk about somebody's family like that. Absolutely not. But this guy has definitely made the decision to create a part for himself. And he is all in. Look at him. He's dressed up as George Washington. Donald Trump had on. I mean, the guy is, he's. It was a real reaction from Leon. If you're like a W.W.E guy. But imagine. But does he have to win now? But does he have to win now? I mean, he wouldn't. You know, does he have to win after that? It doesn't matter. People want him to lose so bad now after saying that. People are going to be tuning there. And that's all he cares. But there are. Yes. But there are. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. The guy is training hard. The guy is a problem inside that Atagon. People look at him like, he's these big jokes of WWE dude who has this stuff. Definitely scripted for him.

There's definitely people in his year, smart people who are giving it. Chale. Chale is like one of his idols. There's definitely some other dudes in there. Oh, so you know. I know. I know. You don't put the GERG back?

You're not going to tell. Just like you know, you're saying chill. But there are smart people that are giving him things to say that are going to And in that meeting, and in that meeting, he made a decision. In that meeting, and in that meeting, they probably said, would you be willing to do this? All right. They're 8.20. Would you be willing to say this?

That was probably a question. Would you, what time is it help? I saw a Chale. Did you see what Chale wrote? Okay. What time is it? 8.30. 814, though.

Okay, we got six minutes. So Chale just tweeted. I think after that and then how to pertain to this, it was, if you don't go too far, you'll never know if you've got far enough. So he's behind this. Look at the things that Chal Sondon said about Brazil. And that was the beginning. No one's ever seen trash talk like that before until Chal Sondon. Remember what you were saying about the Gagra brothers, petting the bus?

They don't have electricity in Brazil. You know, the things he said about a whole country, right? And then next thing I know you got Connor talking trash about a whole country. But dude, you can honestly take it too far, bro. Like, I felt like that. And I don't dislike Kobe Covington like most. He's a wrestler. I know him.

and I know I can see the gimmick. And he's a good guy. You think he's a good guy? I know it's the gimmick. Or you see a good guy. From what I know, I don't know it personally. We recruited him to go to Oklahoma State. That's where I met Kobe Covington.

So I have a long history with him that most don't, right? But I don't know that he's, I don't know that he was, I don't know if he expected that what he said to garner that. He had to expect that reaction, a real reaction of a guy that wants to kill you now. It's, you're going to fight regardless. So it's like, I guess going that far is in the game. The crazy thing is that this is just the beginning of where our sport is heading. And that's the scary thing.

If Colby Covington is saying this now, what happens five years from now? What are these young. There's going to be no. It's like boxing. The amount of people that are watching this and seeing the amount of money that is being generated from things like that, just during a press conference, the fight week, during fight week, people are going to see that. And they're going to see that. but oh, I can say some crazy things out there.

And guess what? I can make a lot of money. And you're going to see more and more of this. That's crazy. Unfortunately, because it's tough, I like it just as the sport, right? But the entertainment value of it, you know, people are going to say crazy things. I could talk to this dude for an hour. Maybe we'll do a podcast together, me and the All-Americas.
