We're still at the arena, but in our dressing room, as UFC Saudi Arabia has just ended and Robert Whitaker knocked out Icrom Alice Scaroff. Look, when you're a guy like Robert

Whitaker, and he said it in our interview, you know, you have are in line for most of the big fights. But when a opportunity presents itself, it's up to you whether or not you will take it. So I remember when I was just going down to light heavyweight, I was supposed to fight with Rashad Evans. I ended up fighting Patrick Cummins. And I wasn't ranked. And Patrick was not even in the UFC when the fight was offered to me. I can safely say that had I been a champion before or holding the belt, I don't know

if I would have taken that fight. But Robert Whitaker continues to take these types of fights, the most dangerous people in the world. Robert Whitaker just takes them on. Alaskaroff is not only a guy that would seem to have the world at his fingertips and have so much of a bright future, but when you watch him, he's as dangerous as they come. Comes from a great team, has a huge combat background, and would seem to be a guy to present match us problems to Robert Whitaker. There are a number of reasons why you say no. But Robert Whitaker, he just doesn't say no.

And tonight he showed why He has lonely one of the best middle weights in the world You know, a lot of times, boisterous fighters and people who talk a lot And people draw people in with the way they speak They get so much respect in the world of fighting When in reality, a guy like Robert Whitaker Should be the one getting the ultimate respect

And I know that he is beloved by so many But I still feel that truthfully Robert Whitaker is underrated I don't think he gets the credit that he deserves for what he does. This is a man that has two wins over Yuel Romero. This man has fought Israel at Asana twice. This man has beaten Derek Brunson. He has beaten, I mean, so many great fighters.

I'm drawing the blank, but he has beaten so many great guys. And on his title run, he was the best. And he never got easy fights. And then when he was done and he lost the belt in order to get back to the belt, He fought Jared Canaaner. Nobody wanted to fight Jared Canaaner at the time. That's what they called Robert Whitaker. When he fought Drake's Duplice, nobody wanted to fight Drake's Duplice.

Sure, he lost. But what does he do? Go fight Paul O'Costa. Then sign up to fight Hamzaa Chamae. If you are talking about a guy that truly does live the martial artist lifestyle, you're speaking wrong. You know, Rob told me the other day, I said, Rob, why? He goes, because if I was choosing fights, regardless of,

whether or not it got me to the title fight, he said, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. He goes, because I know I'm the best in the world or I want to be the best in the world. The only way to prove it is by beating all the best guys out there. I said, you know what? It's the truth. He said, even if he pieced together fights and he ultimately got to a championship opportunity, he would not feel good about it because it wouldn't be going through the best. Now, Israel and Asana

and Dracus duplice fighting Perth in two months. Robert Whitaker should weigh in as the backup fighter. One, he'll make some money, but it will also put him on a short list of guys that can step in if somebody gets hurt. Guys, we know that it's rare

that the backup fighter actually gets to fight. But if you ask me, or if you tell me that anyone is willing to do it, I would be more than willing to put a lot of money against yours to know that Robert Whitaker would be the guy

that always raised his hand. You know, he's lost to Izzy twice, so that means that it would be hard to get a third title fight. He's lost to Dracus. This might honestly be the best position for him, especially when it comes to Dracus.

He's only lost to Dracus once. Dracus is the champion. If Izzy gets hurt, Robert Winnikers there as a backup, then he would get that second fight against Dracus Duplacus C much sooner than he's. he would have expected to get that next fight against Drake is Duplice.

I think it's a win-win for Rob. And after tonight's performance, I believe that it should happen. Ikkram al-Skarov, dude should not hang his head. You know, he's a guy that only has two fights in the UFC. And when fighting the level of competition that you do normally start with when you start in the UFC, See, he's two and oh with two knockouts. I mean, he knocked out Phil Hall's bad. And then he knocked out Wally Alves bad.

He looks like a world be. So I can understand why he was in this position tonight. He had shown nothing but an ability. Come in, Jay, you're fine. He had shown nothing but an ability to compete at the highest level. And ultimately, that didn't work out for him tonight. But he has nothing to hang his head over. I mean, I think the guy has a big future.

And he will learn from this. But I always worry about a young guy getting knocked out early in their career. How do they respond to that? Does that cause almost PTSD when they go back into the octagon? Because in three appearances, he's had two knockouts and he's been knocked out. I want to see what happens to Alaskarov the next time he's inside the octagon. But it doesn't really change my thought on him. I do believe still that he's got a big.

bright future but robin woodaker once again proves why he's one of the best in the world and honestly man he's 33 years old that's so crazy when you start talking about robin wittaker they said he was the champion john said he was the champion he won the bell in 2017 that was seven years ago it was 25 years old hell heavyweights now there are hardly any heavy weights under 30 there's 25 when he became the champ after going up a weight class so i'm excited to see what happens next for whittaker sergey pavlovich and Alexander Volkov fought in the co-main event. I thought it was a fun fight. I thought Pavlovich was weighted far too much,

and he allowed Volkov to control the pace of the fight far too much, and that ultimately led to him getting beat. But Volkov, if he can fight to his potential with his size, could be a real issue for anybody. He called out John Jones. I don't know. You know, I don't think that's going to happen. But, hey, shoot your shot, man.

I'm so done telling these guys that shit. ain't happening if they call somebody out. I mean, Binwa's Soutan he called out Dustin Porier, and we all laughed at him. And the next thing, you know, they're fighting each other. So you never know what happens when you make the ask. Overall, great to be in Saudi Arabia for the first time. The fight card itself, a lot of decisions, but there were some standout performances. Sarah Bullitt. He ultimately got the finish that he needed and desired, but I believe that he can be better. Also, I think the most impressive guy to me tonight was Lima. His name Diego.

Felipe Lima. Yeah, the Jungle Boy, baby. Yeah, the Jungle Boy. Felipe Lima came out tonight. Fought a very tough opponent. A guy that had a ton of momentum. I got a ton of skills. And not only did he win, he got the finish.

You know, his coach lit him up in between rounds and told him to go do it for his mom. Because he hadn't seen his mom in his two years. The guy went out there and he got it done. You know, all in all, good fight card from Saudi Arabia. The crowd was crazy. The hospitality was insane. Walking back from the octagon, people are grabbing at you. They love mixed martial arts.

They just love combat sports in this region. I'm so happy that they got to experience the UFC. Guys, I am now heading back to the hotel to jump on a plane in three and a half hours. And guess what? I'm happy about it because I get to get back to the United States and I get to get back home. John, what do you leave? I'm leaving in like an hour ago straight to the year. Hey, my boy, John's out.
