Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

What's up, guys?
I hope you had a great
Thanksgiving week.
I know we kind of been dark.
Hey, even your boy got to take some time sometimes to rest and relax.
I didn't have anything for ESPN.
I had no work over the weekend.
I had none of these videos.
So I actually got a week where we just kicked back,
spent time with the family and really did get to enjoy the holidays like a normal person,
which is not something that you get to do very often.
But one of those things that I was doing while just kind of kicking back was I was still watching, paying attention to what was going on in the world of mixed martial arts.
And obviously we had a ton happen this week.
One, Islam Makachev did an interview on one of the most beautiful sets that I've ever seen anybody on.
Like, where is that?
It was in Russia somewhere that a beautiful television set.
Islam did interview speaking his intentions.
We'll talk about that.
We'll talk about some of these fights that Dana announced.
Dude was busy this week.
And we're going to talk a little bit about Sean Strickland and Ian Gary
because the Sean Strickland and Ian Gary shit is hilarious.
But only because of Sean Strickland in the way that Sean Strickland
approaches these types of things.
But we'll get to that.
First, Islam Makashav said that he wants to fight three times.
He said that he's planning the fight before Ramadan.
He said he's already informed the UFC that he's ready to fight
before Ramadan he'd like to have time to do three fights in 2024.
He said he will train as much as possible,
constantly keep in shape and wait for a call from his management.
So Islam Makachev wanting to be active
should be a breath of fresh air for mixed martial arts fans.
I know it is for me.
Because I was of the belief that if Habibn al-Megov,
Medov kept fighting. He could fight for a really long time, have tremendous success because he was
starting to be more dominant as his title ring continued. That is Islam Makachev in a nutshell.
Right now, it seems as though we are on the verge of him being a complete version of who he can be
in the octagon. Sure, the fight against Alexander Volcanowski, he gets the first round knockout,
He looks amazing.
We do have to take into effect.
Vogue was doing that on extremely short notice.
And the only reason we thought there was a possibility
was because of who Alexander Volcanozky is.
But in reality, it never was going to happen.
That was the outcome.
I don't know if the knocker was the outcome.
But that was, Islam winning was most predictable in that situation
because of the time in which Volk had to prepare.
but when Islam says he wants to fight three times,
we know who's first.
We know it's Charles Oliver.
My belief is that this fight will happen
at the beginning of March in Saudi Arabia.
Because, you know, guys, doing this whole fight thing, right?
Especially with guys like Islam with Hamzaa Tchamayev,
It's not that hard to kind of piece together times in which it would work for those guys to fight.
Islam fought in February.
Obviously Ramadan happens so he can't fight then.
But you knew that when Ramadan was done, he wasn't going to fight in Boston.
He wasn't going to fight in Vegas.
He was going to be in Abu Dhabi because, again, that region of the world, big Muslim community.
He's a celebrity there.
he's a star there, his fights go crazy in that region.
He fought in October in Abu Dhabi.
You knew he wasn't coming back very soon.
So when you start looking at the schedule at the beginning of the year,
you know, well, Saudi Arabia's in March,
probably going to get Islam there.
That's the first quarter.
If he wants to fight three times,
you got to fight per quarter.
He's got a fight in the first quarter,
then he's got a fight in the summer,
then he's got to fight again towards the end.
But is that limited because again, when we get to October, there's the Abu Dhabi fight card every single year you want Makachev on that fight card unless you have Hamzaa Chamaev in a championship fight.
So you would imagine soon as Ramadan's over, Islam's got to be ready.
But then Belor Muhammad already told you that comes to a whole other set of challenges because you're training while having no food and nutritional food.
the entirety of the day
because they're fastened.
So he would have to be training through Ramadan,
preparing himself to fight the moment it's over
to give himself an opportunity to be ready to go again
by the third quarter, the last quarter of the year.
What do those fights look like?
Charles Oliver first.
We know that. Dustin Poirier on one hand said
he believes that if Oliver Hatt fought him,
that fought Gagee, shows up to fight
Malkachev, he thinks that Oliver wins.
So we could just be honestly throwing shit in the win.
Because if you listen to a guy in the weight class,
he believes that Charlie Olives has the skill set
and the ability to beat Malkichita in fight number one.
So we don't need to go into fight two and fight three.
But say Mokachev gets it done in March, I will say,
because that's what I'm going to believe.
And we haven't been to Saudi Arabia.
We haven't been to Saudi Arabia yet.
So that's going to be a big one.
I don't know if it gets bigger than if you're fighting,
if you're having a guy like Islam fight or Hamzad fight.
But I would think it's going to be a wrong.
It's not that hard, guys,
to at least try to start piecing these things together.
Who would be second, Justin Gachie?
Justin Gachie has made his intentions clear.
He's going to wait.
He's going to wait.
And I know Justin,
I spent a lot of time with Justin.
He wants this fight because he feels like he has a good style to fight Islam
Makhachev.
He feels like in the fight with Habib, he learned things that could lend itself to being successful
against Makhine.
Don't forget, Gachi took that first round off of Habib.
That's something not many people did at all.
Third, I think we get Dustin Poyer.
I think Islam Mokachev has an opportunity.
and next year to run the gauntlet.
Of all the most relevant lightweights that we have seen
over the course of the last 10 years,
he could fight Charles, Justin, Dustin,
all in the calendar year.
And if he does that,
and if he does get through that,
Mokachev would be a landslide for fight of the year.
Because these guys have been the most important players
in the UFC's most important division
for at least 10 years, about 10 years.
From the moment Justin Gachie got here,
he was relevant.
I don't know if it was 16, 17 of,
I don't know when he got here.
But the moment he got here, he was relevant.
Dustin Poyer, we've seen since he was a baby fighting in the UFC.
Same with Charles Olivera.
If Mokachev can get those three fights in
and he can do it against those three guys,
he would become an absolute superstar by the time it was done.
Your boy Dana White was very busy this week.
Announcing fights.
First, he told us that Iliate Tuporia versus Alexander Volcanowski is now set in stone February.
This fight to me is so intriguing because does Iliot Tuporia have a style that could cause issues for the great champion Alexander Volcanowski?
What are the lingering effects of the knockout from Islamahachev?
Volkanowski went to fight early.
They pushed them back a month.
But make no mistake about it.
Still four months, November, December, January.
Three-month training camp into the fight in February.
It's not long.
What are the effects of that?
How much does the unwillingness to sit back
allow for Alexander Volcanozky to feel at home,
feel comfortable in his life,
as he said himself.
Still not long.
And you got a meat and potatoes guy.
The one thing about Alexander Volcanowski,
and this is why I believe he's so special,
he doesn't wow you with a whole bunch of crazy stuff.
And I always talk about Demetri Johnson
because I believe he's one of the greatest fighters of all time.
and he got a bad rap for decisions.
Bullshit, he would finish.
He would do some insane, like the mousetrap,
way through the kid up in the air,
armbard him on the way down.
That could never happen,
or you won't see Alexander Volcanowski do anything like that.
Next, who's very good boxing,
but Max does, throw spinning stuff and all that,
and he kind of picks him apart.
So you wonder, is it going to be a guy like him that can present some issues to this guy?
Tuporia is great boxing.
Tuporia is great cardio.
Tuporia is solid wrestling.
Teporia is all those things that Alexander Volcanowski is.
Just hasn't had the ability to show to this point.
We don't see what happens in February.
But that is why this one makes so much sense to me and it's so exciting.
So many different variables at play that make this.
fight so intriguing.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care which I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way,
this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement
to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw,
unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard,

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont.
Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 was big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Guys, eBay Motorsports is here for the ride. Listen, we have all had cars. And I'm going to tell you
one thing. I had a car that I love so much, and I just had to have those rims. The first one
I had, I had 20-inch rims on it. Boy, let me tell you, I thought I was the cleanest dude
on the block. Then I got
a bigger version of the same car
and I got 22 inch rims
on them. The problem was
at times that mug would try
to break on your boy. I had a car
in college one time. That was
the most beautiful car. Everybody praised
the car, but the car barely ever worked.
I needed eBay Motors.
Because I know that I
had things that I needed to be fixed
on all those vehicles. For a long time,
I bought the body. I didn't
buy the car. But I don't know.
if I ever owned cars that meant more to me than those.
The ones with the 20-inch rooms on them, they would all be like,
yo, DC, can I ride?
I'm like, no.
Part of the reason I didn't let them ride, though, because it barely worked.
But with eBay Motors, you can have it fixed because eBay Motors has over 122 million
parts for that number one ride to die.
So you can make sure that your ride not only looks good, it stays riding smoothly.
from break kits, I needed break kits, LED lights, roof racks, bumpers, whatever that baby needs.
I had that nice white with the blue on the top.
eBay Motors has it.
And with eBay Motors guaranteed fit, it's guaranteed to fit your ride the first time, every time, or you get your money back.
Plus, at these prices, guys, you're going to be burning rubber and not that hard earned cash.
Because you know everybody got to work.
Hey, you boy, D.C.'s working right now.
I mean, we all work.
So keep that ride of dial live at eBaymotors.com.
Eligible items only guys.
Exclusions apply.
Bobby Green taking on Jalen Turner.
When Dan Hooker got hurt,
I thought the card in Austin was going to struggle or suffer.
Sorry, I thought the car would suffer a little bit.
You make the Jalen Turner Bobby Green fight.
It won't suffer.
This is going to be amazing.
Anthony Smith steps up and takes on Khalil,
Trie, another top 15 light heavyweight title, light heavyweight cool main event in Austin,
Texas.
Austin, Texas is one of the best fight night cards you have for a long time.
And guys, as you know at the end of the year, every year for ESPN, we do the Stewart Scott
Memorial card.
That is that card.
Cancer Research.
Everything you donate will be given to hell fight what is such a nasty disease.
Great card on paper, but also for a great card.
calls. Last thing before I let you guys out of here, I'm on my phone this morning. And I see a
notification from Sean Strickland and Ian Gary. Sean Strickland is, as only Sean Strickland can do,
reaches out to Ian Gary to help him telling him all these things about his situation in terms
of his marriage. I know Ian. I know his wife. I know.
know Sean, I've had only positive interactions with all these people.
So I will not speak on them, their relationship, and all of that.
But what I will speak on is Sean Strickland can do things with the best intentions,
only in the way that Sean Strickland can do things or his idea of great intentions.
But only in his way would it be taken the way that he got it taken by Ian Gary because he
is so brash.
The crazy thing about that is,
I have heard from multiple people that go,
I love Sean Strickland.
Because only Sean Strickland could do it in that way.
Ian Garry tells him he's going to sue him
if he doesn't take down the picture or the video.
To which Sean responds,
he would respect him more if he said,
I'm going to basketball shots, buy a gun,
and we're going to handle this,
opposed to suing you.
Because Sean Strickland doesn't give a shit
if you threaten to sue him.
It just doesn't work that way.
What a crazy situation that you can only find yourself caught up in with Sean Strickland.
But that right there, guys, that right there is why people are so drawn to him.
He is the definition of no filter, but he doesn't care.
He doesn't care.
Ian Gary, great kid.
But like I said, with Logan Paul Trident, there is no suing and fighting, bro.
you cannot try to sue nobody in fighting.
You got to just go at them in a different way.
That's the way it is.
Am I saying Sean's right?
No.
You don't talk about spouses.
I only went down that path one time.
But you don't sue them.
You handle it another way.
There's no suing and fight.
Just like on a league of their own.
There's no crying in baseball.
There's no suing and fighting, fellas.
Y'all got to handle that a whole other way.
Guys, I missed you.
I'll be back next week.
Full swing.
We in Austin.
I'm going to get a check-in in Austin.
We're going to do post-fight.
We're going to see the city.
It's a beautiful city.
It's going to be good.
Hell, I think I'm going to Rogan next week, finally.
The boy's finally going on Road.
Let's go.
Until next time, guys, like, subscribe,
tell your friends about my YouTube channel,
tell them tap into everything that I'm doing,
everything the volume's doing,
and make sure you keep watching.
watching the fights and enjoy the people that mean the most see you over the course of this holiday season.
