Starting point is 00:03:30 restrictions, terms, and responsible gaming resources. All right. So in the world of social media, there is no safety, right? Everything you do, even though you think it's hidden, will come to light. So you've got to be very, very careful. So a little bit ago, we were dealing with Jake Paul and Sean Strickland. And it was Sean Strickland essentially threatening to kill Jake Paul. And I know Sean, I've talked to Sean.
Starting point is 00:04:09 Sean's always been great with me. But when I hear him say the things that he wanted to do to Jake Paul, I believe him. I believe him. I believe him. But in professional wrestling, there's a script, right? They don't tell you what's about to happen tonight. But if I pulled a curtain back, because I've been a part of it now.
Starting point is 00:04:35 It's also choreographed, right? This is no secret no more. Back in the 80s and there was no open acknowledgement of it being a work. Jake Paul and Sean Strickland to me now, it sounds like them dudes are trying to work this. Because now Jake Paul releases direct messages. Look, guys, one of the things you don't do is send a direct message. You do not send a DM because that DM always, I mean, always comes to light. Always comes to light because I have been a part of this before.
Starting point is 00:05:16 In some very high visible situations where the bosses have been brought in, direct messages became a part of the conversation when it was me and the other guy. you don't direct message. So then Sean Strickland and Jake Paul are talking. This was Jake Paul talking on his podcast. So what Jake says is he offered Sean a million dollars to spar him. And he said Sean started to talk about, I'm going to get sued, and I'm going to do all this, I'm going to do all this, and I'm going to do all this.
Starting point is 00:06:01 that's just a guy talking, right? We tend to not want to believe Jake Paul. But then Jake, at least what I saw, releases the DMs. And in those DMs, it's Sean saying stuff like, this is a massive payday. I want to try to make this happen. Here's one thing that Jake Paul was absolutely right about. You can't spar anybody.
Starting point is 00:06:29 Anybody. You can't, you can't, You can't say while under contract, I'm going to fight somebody outside of the UFC. But what you can do is go to a gym and do a sparring session. Here's where, look, man, this whole thing with these guys, Jake, Paul, and all these social media influences that are fighting now. What they do is they kind of, they will give you a truth. but in that truth, there are some underlying things that they don't tell you
Starting point is 00:07:08 so that you don't know that it's always on the up and up. Now, while Sean Strickland can go and spar Jake Paul, that is absolutely allowed. Jake Paul could give Sean Strickland a million dollars for that sparring session. Now, what Jake Paul is not telling you guys is, why would he? Why would he? because now he can't promote this. He can't post this.
Starting point is 00:07:39 He can't make a video on YouTube to and recoup some of that money that he would give Sean Strickland to fight him. So it really is a mute point. Jake Paul is not throwing away a million dollars just to spar Sean Strickland. I don't think he hates him that much because when I looked at the conversation,
Starting point is 00:07:59 it was much more cordial than I expected on both sides, on both sides, because I saw Sean Strickland publicly saying he wanted to kill the guy, but then I saw Sean Strickland, a businessman in those direct messages, if those are true. But Jake Paul, for everything you believe about him, he is a very good promoter,
Starting point is 00:08:23 he is a master of making money, and he's a tremendous businessman. So for him to one, get a private jet to go pick Sean Strickland up in Las Vegas. Money. Fly him down there paying him a million dollars. Money. Not be able to use that footage is not a real thing. So while I have said all these great things about him,
Starting point is 00:08:45 I'm telling you right now on that podcast, he's lying to you. Because unless he can recoup some of that money or all of it, he's not doing it. He's not doing it. So I feel like it's a bit of a brave. face for you. Here you go. I told this dude I would do whatever. I told this dude
Starting point is 00:09:06 I would fly him out here to fight. I told this dude I would pay him a million dollars. I told this dude that I just want my hands on him so bad that I'm willing to do all this stuff. When in reality he's not because he's not wasting that money and he's not going to do something, a business venture that yields no
Starting point is 00:09:28 return. He's smarter than that. I would love to see those guys fight. I would love to be in the room for a sparring session between Sean Strickland and Jake Paul. I think it would be phenomenal. But these dudes ain't fighting. They're not fighting. Sean Strickland is a much smarter businessman because he wasn't the brute that we are used to seeing. He wasn't talking about killing him in his message. His message was, this is a phenomenal page. day, let me see if I can make this happen. I'm going to call Hunter. You can almost sense the excitement in Sean Strickland.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Now is that excitement because he thinks he can beat Jake Paul? I don't know. Jake Paul has proven time and time again to be much harder to beat than originally anticipated. He's been much harder to beat. I will give him his credit. Or was it because he had the idea of making all this money would be great for him. But again, all the money Sean.
Starting point is 00:10:28 speaks about is tied to an ability to promote it, an ability to sell pay-per-views, and an ability to draw people in. That's something they can't do because of the UFC contracts. So we're just spinning the circle. Now, Jake did say he feels like Sean's an insecure person that hides behind his other stuff. And honestly, I can see where he takes that from. because in that message, Sean was more measured than I thought. I never thought I'd be agreeing this much with Jake Paul.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Never thought. And I really like Sean Strick. I really like Sean Strickle. Louise keep texting me in this thing, man. What is this dude doing? He must not have nothing else to do, but look at me talk about people. I really like Sean Strickland. I think he's fun.
Starting point is 00:11:27 I think he's crazy. I think he's fun. But in that message, I saw a different side of him, more of a businessman, opposed to the guy that's going to just kick your door in and try to raid your city. And Jake Paul exposed that. But don't send DMs because they always come out. And you always seem like you get played because, look, in this situation now, because of the DMs I saw, I'm questioning Sean Strickland.
Starting point is 00:11:52 And I've been in the fight game. I'm like, man, what? I don't hate it. I mean, I love that a guy knows how to do business, but I'm thinking to myself, like, I thought he hated this dude. I thought that if he got his hands on Jake Paul,
Starting point is 00:12:10 he would kill him. Now it sounds like to me, he wants to make some money. Hats off to him for that. But don't put it on paper. Sean, don't give this dude the ability to play you. But I would watch it.
Starting point is 00:12:25 I would watch it. And if they do it in a gym somewhere, which you're allowed to do without promoting it, I definitely would watch it from free. I would definitely watch it for free. But these guys can't seem to get off each other's radar. I guess I'm here for it.
Starting point is 00:12:44 All right, guys, until next time, like, subscribe, tell you a friend to tell a friend about DC's YouTube channel and my audio podcast and a TikTok now. I'm everywhere. Go follow you, boy, D.C. Keep running up those numbers. Until next time, peace. Another podcast from some has.
