Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's
superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

All right, guys. So we're back at it.
I'm in Phoenix, Arizona right now.
First off, it's so hot.
It's like so hot here.
It's amazing, but having fun doing good stuff down here,
but I still got to check in with my people.
So I am a guy that while I talk so much,
I'm always usually brought up by people.
It seems like I've been catching a lot of strays lately.
First off, Steve Ersig said he would take me on a run
because he would outrun me if there was a zonom.
the apocalypse, which is not true.
I would outrun Steve Ursaig.
Derek Lewis the other day,
which I will get into was in St. Louis for his fight.
And Nina was asking him about who he would like to power slap.
Of course, it was me.
But the one that,
obviously is the one that resonates the most with me
was the other day, right?
Because we're all talking about John Jones.
We're all talking about John Jones.
What he's doing?
Because people seem to want to make it seem like he's
afraid of Tom Asphenol, and that's why he's not fighting him. I would not go so far as to say
he's afraid of that dude. I think what's happening is he's kind of made his mind up on something,
and he's just standing with it. He's like, I'm not changing it. I'm going to keep it as it is.
I know what I want to do. And part of the reason it was so hard to understand was because
Steve, they wasn't saying anything, right? It had been so long since you had.
seen them do do or say anything in regards to the fight that it seemed like it's john talking
about the fight but no one else well stepe went on the podcast the other day said that for him
it's more about the Jones fight than even the championship belt and i guess when you're a guy
that's had as many belts as steepe has it doesn't matter uh but when talking about tom aspinall
Jones made this statement.
He said,
it was like in my absence
when Daniel Cormier was the champion,
it confuses people.
That's not a real indication of what was going on.
Look, guys, right now,
John is out due to injury, right?
He's out due to injury,
so Tom Aspernel is now the champion.
I get that.
But,
but that's not what was going on with him and I were fighting.
So he misrepresented what the situation was when you are.
And plus, like, Tom Aspinall is not the champion because of his absence so much.
Tom Asper was a champion because he was available, won the belt when John got hurt.
Well, actually, you know what, John was right.
Tom is only a champion because of his absence.
And honestly, he beat me.
So maybe I wouldn't have been the champ,
but he was disqualifying himself.
So it's,
but it's two different situations.
Because right now, he injured himself.
With me,
it was him getting caught doing things he's not supposed to,
and then getting stripped and taken out of the competition.
So it's not the same.
While it may seem the same,
it's not the same, right?
you were he was incapable of competing when I was the champion he was not allowed to compete when I was
the champion not due to injury due to illegal substances found inside of his body that's just the
truth that's just the truth because right now right Jones has said he is ahead of the schedule
they said it would be a year and a half before he'd be able to compete he's
so far ahead that he's looking forward.
He's back in the gym,
traded. So if he decided
today, I'm going to go and I'm going to
fight.
There'd be nothing to stop him. That would be his
decision.
That would be his decision.
Him and his doctors.
Whenever him and I were fighting, and he kept getting
in trouble, he could not
go, I'm back in the gym and I'm ready
to fight. He couldn't.
It was illegal. It wasn't.
That's where the situation
varies. That's what a situation is different.
and that's such a key component to the situations being different.
You could now.
So it's time to stop lumping everything together,
but it's a slight of hand is what John is very good at.
On one hand,
people will say he did X, Y, and Z.
On the other hand, he'll go,
look at this, guys.
This is what I have.
And this is what I say.
So this needs to be in the truth.
And I'm saying this because now it's time for me to say it's not the same thing.
But the reality is in this situation, I've been more on his side than I am in more situation or in most situations.
Because I think he should fight Neil Chich.
What I like to see him fight, I'm not sure.
But he's fought generation after generation of great.
what is there really to prove
Miochich would be
the last great from the generation
that he lived in
to essentially foil
right and up a weight class
because for a long time people talked about
Jones being a heavyweight.
Well now he is he's the heavyweight champion
and he's going to fight the guy
that was the heavyweight champion.
My biggest concern is that steepa hasn't competed
but when listening to Miochich
he sounds like he's still been working
he sounds like he's still intent on getting the job done
I just wonder physically, is he still able to fight at the level that he was before?
My son is going to crazy.
And I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know if he could compete at that level anymore.
But what I do, though, is if they could put this fight together in Madison Square Garden,
amazing.
It would be amazing.
Guys, if you think about some of these fights that potentially can land on some of these cards,
it would be crazy.
I talked about yesterday,
will UFC 300 still be the event of the year
by the end of the year?
And you know what?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I thought I originally thought for sure
because it was so great.
But now I don't know
because when you think about the events
that they're got,
we have coming up.
Makachev will fight Porier,
Strickland will fight against
Paul Locust.
That's a good fight.
Then you got Connem,
Gregor fighting against Michael Chan.
He still got Israel Edisonia versus
Drake's Duplice out there. You still
got Jones versus Miochi is still out there.
Guys, there are only 12 months in a year
and we're almost halfway through the year.
We're almost halfway through
the year in a year
where there's only 12 months.
So
if all these fights come off,
you and I as fans
aren't for a great end of
2024, our middle end
in the 2004. But that's my response. Jones, it wasn't the same thing, bud. So no matter how
quickly you are, the magician you are at manipulating and saying this, this and the other,
that's not the case. It was different. You couldn't compete whenever I was fight. You couldn't.
You couldn't make a decision that you were going to go and fight. So yeah, I was a champion for a really
long time, too, which is kind of crazy. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal,
but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you'll say.
Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment.
and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music.
The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations, stories that
don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger.
So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where
you need to be.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tapped Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at It podcast.
I'm Sam Jett.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill,
waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because.
of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

Derek Lewis.
Love Derek Lewis.
And he said if he had to power slap somebody, it would be me because he said no to my podcast.
And ever since I've been talking reckless.
I've got to be honest with you.
I don't know that I've ever really disrespected Derek Lewis.
I think what I've done is spoken truthfully about him when the truth needs to be spoken.
and I don't think fighters like that.
I don't understand why they take such offense
to someone saying the truth
in regards to their career
when it looks like their career
is at a point where
it's not going in the right direction.
Maybe it's time to step away.
So when I talk about Derek Lewis right now, right?
And he won the fight last week
and I'm like, well, he still got something there.
But if you
believe
that
Derek Lewis
or if Derek still believes
that he's the same guy
from eight years ago
none of us are the same
seven, eight years ago.
We just don't fight at that level
and guys get better as time goes,
but I don't think I've ever
disrespect him.
I think when those guys say that,
they say stuff like,
well, maybe it's time for him
retire.
Fighters hate hating.
They hate hearing that.
But sometimes it's
truth. And you know what's the worst part about it is that I'm the one out here saying it publicly,
but I swear to God, there are so many people saying it behind the scenes that aren't willing to go
forward and go, hey, I think this dude's done. I think this guy's fighting because his paycheck so big.
People say that all the time. And guess what? If that's the case, it doesn't matter.
It does not matter if you're making that much money. Do it. Enjoy yourself, but don't get mad
because someone said that you,
you, uh,
you, uh, should, are looking like you're at the end of the career.
It's the truth.
We all have to walk away from the thing that we love so much.
And Derek said it because he said no to my, my, my, my, uh, podcast.
He does it every single time.
We talk every single time.
And we make magic.
Look, you guys don't remember this one.
This was the Ronda Rousey one.
Is she, is she, uh, I don't know, I guess he asked me.
did she ask about me?
This was when Derek fought in Houston or something back in the day.
And I interviewed him as a main eventer on a pay-per-view.
Because generally, guys, remember, we do the check-ins on the paper views.
When I do them all the time, there will be very rare that I do an interview when it's not a
pay-per-view.
I did it with Derek Lewis when he was a headliner at a paper view.
And he did it.
If I have not interviewed him lately, it's probably because I haven't seen him on a
pay-per-view card or in those high, uh, late fights on paper-review cards.
But look, this is the one right here.
Rhonda, remember?
It went viral.
It was everywhere.
So Derek has been more than gracious with his time, whenever the time is requested.
Generally, I haven't had to request it.
But to want a power slap me big D, come on, man.
Every time we see each other, we still, I mean, unless there's an issue.
But with me, like I told you.
y'all time and time again.
If any fighters have issues with me,
I'm free to talk about it.
But I really do enjoy Derek.
I think he's a great guy.
Congratulations on the win.
Make money as long as you can, bro.
But don't be mad when people say what they feel is the truth.
But there are a lot of people saying a lot of the same things.
They're just not brave enough to say it out in front of the world.
So it is what it is.
Guys, the boy's going to stay on people's tongue, I guess,
the tip of their tongues.
It is what it is.
I mean, hell.
Well, the SPS is a kind of renamed the show,
Fat guy, bad guy, because Islam's in it.
But it is what it is.
I love it.
I love each and everyone to you.
I appreciate your support.
And boy, the sport of mixed martial arts is hot.
And it's just getting better and better.
Until next time, guys, like, subscribe.
Tell your friends that D.C.'s got a YouTube channel.
And that y'all need to be tapping into all my content.
And we're going to be rocking and rolling now.
And we're getting ready for UFC 301.
I cannot wait for New Jersey.
I know y'all ready for it, too.
Let's go.
