This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's
superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Hey, this is Robert from the Stuff to Blow Your Mind podcast. Joe and I are both lifelong Star Wars fans,
so we're celebrating May the 4th with a brand new week of fun, thought-provoking Star Wars-related episodes.
Join us as we tackle science and culture topics from a galaxy far, far away,
such as the biology of tauntons and wampas on the ice planet hot,
or the practicality and corporate business sense of the Sith ruling.
of two. Listen to Stuff to Bo Your Mind on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever
you get your podcasts.
What up, guys? Your boy's back. I got to be honest. I've been a little peeved, right? Especially
with the news that one, award has been put off for Nate Diaz, and also the guy's trying to sue him.
You know, you try to walk a fine line in regards to these things and not really
go too far left or go too far right.
So I'm speaking in general terms.
Where in the world do you take a guy that's known for being dangerous and you choose that
guy as the guy you have an altercation with, especially when a guy in Neide-Dez has a history
of defending himself, whether it be on the streets and an MMA fight in a boxing match,
which he's going to have with Jake Paul down the line, or in any situation.
Michael Bisbing told the story once about being in New Orleans.
And this is the irony in this is that the Nadea situation happened in New Orleans.
Michael Bisbing is on Bourbon Street with his family.
Some thug hits him, punches him upside the head.
Michael Bisbing is a wow boy.
But that was Michael Bisbing back in the day.
Michael Bisbing today is a commentator.
He's a father.
He's a husband.
He's all these things that have really almost tamed him.
So when the guy hit him, Michael Bisbin can process,
I've got my kids with me.
I've got my wife with me.
This isn't worth it in case it escalates to something bigger.
Neidias ain't there.
Nate Diaz is not there yet.
Nate Diaz doesn't say to him,
himself, I can't do this right now due to the fact that it might escalate.
Neadeez wants it to escalate.
I almost sneeze.
That's why you guys saw me make that weird face.
He almost embraces de-escalating.
That's why I had to fight.
You saw him throw the bottle or whatever he threw at the guy that kind of started this ruckus
inside.
All these creators, everybody's creating content.
As I am creating content now, everybody's creating content.
Everybody wants to be famous.
But I don't know of being famous while challenging someone as dangerous is the way to get it done.
Because what do you expect to happen?
I've seen so many great fighters become domesticated.
The kids, the house, the wife.
It all slows you down and you almost become domesticated.
Nate ain't there yet.
So when you pick a fight with Nate Diaz, he's going to fight you wherever you are.
you pick a fight with game bread,
Jorge Mazzvedal,
he will fight you wherever you are.
There are a lot of guys
in this game that will fight you.
So when you play the game,
you get some pretty shitty prizes.
And so the kid gets choked out.
Reality is, it could have been much worse.
Nate choking him.
I was almost doing him a favor
because you don't even feel that.
You literally just go to sleep.
It could have been much worse for that kid.
So now I see a warrant
for his arrest.
My buddy Brian told me
the kid had his hands up
and somebody pushed him towards Nate.
But when you go,
when you go at a man
and you're in that posture
where you're big
and you're threatening,
when can you expect that man
to defend himself?
I think that's the problem
with the world today.
First, everybody's trying to capture moments
to become famous.
Two, there is no,
there is no punishment
for stepping out of line
unless you step up.
up out of line with the wrong person.
Now, am I saying what Nate did is right?
I,
at what point does he get to say,
I got to put this dude
in his place before something happens to me.
You know,
I don't know.
I don't, I would never get into a fist fight
on the street, but I'm domesticated.
I don't want to do that.
Some guys aren't.
So you mess with these types of people
and you get choked out or you get hit or you get into a fight.
It's just things like that happen with certain people.
So to hear that all this now is leading to him being in all this trouble,
to me it seems a bit unfair.
Now, I don't know who started it.
I hear things happen inside the fight, outside the fight.
Somebody pushed him all that.
It seems a bit unfair.
Because once again, at what point does a man get to defend himself?
At what point does a man's career not allow for him to always have to take the high road?
Nate ain't there.
Nate is not at a place in his life right now where he's always going to turn away from the fight.
Hey, Michael Bisping, that wild boy is, I am.
So many people are not willing to risk everything in order to get what a person deserves or give
what a person deserves right now.
Neide Diaz is that guy that's like
I'll make this kid pay
and now obviously it seems like he's going to have to deal with it.
I don't know what comes to this
but I can't sit here with 100% certainty
to say he's 100% in the wrong
or 100% right
because I can see both sides to the coin.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal
but encouraged. It's the enhanced games
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.

A win is a win.
A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying.
Yep, that's me.

fourth. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I
ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,

The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast.
It's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told,
and for people who are chasing something bigger.
So if you've ever supported me, or you're just chasing down a dream,
this is right where you need to be.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tapped Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam Jett.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because.
of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack
all day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point,
this is the second episode
where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see
there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table
right now.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important
year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important
years for black people
in American history.

Nate Diaz gets himself into trouble here by fighting a guy that would seem to be threatening to him.
But that's not where the news stops in terms of boxing and fighting.
Nate's got a boxing fight down the line.
Last week we saw Ryan Garcia take on Tank Davis.
it was a massive, massive event,
and it shows you at its best,
boxing is second to none.
Francis Ngano has seen this from the outside.
Francis Ngano now has that opportunity to pursue that.
Just last week, I feel Francis got some great news
in a time where it doesn't seem like Francis has been getting much great news
because everything's moving a lot slower
than he probably anticipated it being
when he left the UFC.
You saw in Tank Davis's corner
when he's about to get introduced, Floyd Mayweather,
Floyd has taken a big role in Davis's career.
And now he has gone on record to say
not only does he want to work and help Francis
in that regard,
but he wants to help him in the boxing room.
I want to work with Francis.
I would like to help Francis.
I would like to promote Francis.
To me, a win.
One of the biggest wins that I feel,
team in Ghana who has gotten since he decided
that he was going to leave the UFC.
The UFC has moved on.
It has been ideal for John Jones to come and win the heavyweight championship
because it still feels real.
Because if Cyril Gahn won, people could have pointed back to,
well, Francis beat him.
We never know what would have happened if Francis Faw Jones.
This is great news for Team Ingonum.
Get with Floyd Mayweather.
Use your name power, your punching ability,
your ferocity in that visual that you are
that strikes fearing people and put it with the greatest boxer of all time.
Let him promote you.
Let him try to use the same game plan that he has used
to make what he has made and use it with you.
Because guess what?
Floyd Mayweather, for as great as he was,
could never change the fact that he was 147 pound fighter.
He's a welterweight.
While he made a ton of money,
while he was the biggest darn boxing,
he made a fraction of what he would have made
if he was a heavyweight.
Now, I'm not saying Francis can do what Floyd did
or Francis can make what Floyd made.
But boy, I feel like if there is anyone,
that can help him capitalize on his name value, on his being recognizable, on his abilities,
it's Floyd Money Mayweather.
So at a time where it seems like the news is slope of Team Francis, this is a win, my guy.
Take it.
Jump on it.
Make a deal with him and come out and make some money.
Because I, for one, am tired of not seeing Francis in Ghana who compete.
I'm ready to see one of the scariest men I have ever seen inside of an octagon
or in a combat arena, lace up some 10-ounce gloves, and knock somebody's head off.
Good news for Team Francis.
Great weekend for boxing, too.
It was just a good fight weekend overall.
Hey, the world is turning and the sports world is as good as it gets right now.
And I'm lucky to have the ability to sit out here and give my thoughts to you.
guys
Nate Diaz
like I touched on
is what it is
he messed with fighters
sometimes you end up
on the wrong end of it
Francis and Ghana
got some good news
at a time when he needs it
let's get Francis back
in some sort of combat arena
till next time guys
