Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an IHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
Starting point is 00:00:12 We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
Starting point is 00:00:30 you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the ice. Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Winning on Clay is an art. The rallies are relentless. And at the French Open, only the toughest survive. I'd know. I competed there for decades. Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast for no-nonsense breakdowns of the biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments that define Roland Garris. She can win.
Starting point is 00:01:21 She's an outsider to win the French fame. And she likes Clay. Listen, Lina Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now. And I actually can win on any service. Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever reported on. A Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud. But how long can this alliance last? Tell me what you know. Is somebody coming after me? Listen to Kingdom of Fraud on the Aihar Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Goat?
Starting point is 00:02:16 Goat. You know, one time I was at a place, they tried to make me eat this, goat. You don't eat goat? Fuck, no. I eat goat. It's kind of disgusting. It's oily.
Starting point is 00:02:28 They give me soup, like a goat soup, and it was like so much oil inside the soup. We eat goat in Jamaica. Curry goat. Yeah. You like all that shit? Of course. Okay, so could you tell me what the fuck is an ox tail?
Starting point is 00:02:42 It's beef. It's beef. Is it good? Oh, it's one of my favorites. I've literally never eaten ox tail. I love it. Everybody talks about it, but I never eat it. I love it.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Wow. This is crazy. You know, I'm honestly wanted to get you guys together for a long time. Because it's a very different dynamic of a relationship, but after watching last weekend, I understand it now from the outside, considering I lived it once. All right, guys, I'm here at Marab Duvalis Rili's house, joined by Al Jermaine Sterling, former Bannerway champion now.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Today we call him Nikki Minaj, because since he went up to 145, he got all that junk in the truck. He looked so big, his legs are big. This dude is huge. Out of 145. I'm in Vegas for some work. I figured I'd pop in on these guys and check in. First off, congratulations, champ on a fantastic performance last weekend.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Congratulations, Aljo, on helping your guy and really supporting him in a way that most can't. Look, when I was at A.K.A. King Velazquez and I were in a very similar situation to you, too. Weren't willing to fight, so ultimately went down to 103, 205, sorry. What makes your guys' relationship so special? You know, I'm sorry. You're just so. Yeah. So, me, I came United States as an immigrant.
Starting point is 00:04:06 You know, my goal was to fight MMA. Of course, the venture I go, UFC. But that time, I don't know much about UFC to how to get EFC, how everything would go. So, and when I... So, first I had some flights in South Carolina. And then the streets was beautiful. People was nice.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Nice, like everybody's so nice. And like, of course when you got here, like everybody treated you. Like I was here one day. Just fight, weigh in the same day. And you go win the fight and next morning I go back Georgia. But everything, whatever time I spent here, everything was beautiful. Of course it's beautiful, but like my... In the houses when I looked there, so clean, like no quiet.
Starting point is 00:04:53 I'm like, where I'm in the headline? So I go back and then now I was in army. I finished army and I decided to come after I finish I will be free you know I I'm an army my country was mandatory one year when I finish my army I decided to come United States because I had visa they gave me visa for the fight and I immigrate here but I am I have a friend in New York and then and then he said oh yeah I know some gym he can I spoke to the coach he he told me he can he told me that he can get you
Starting point is 00:05:29 So when I go, I see that it's a boxing gym. This guy only has a girl who trains. Kids and girls, the girls trying to lose weight. You know, like fitness, like something like the coach. He did fought before. He was boxing, but he's crazy now. He's like, he's just slow and... Man, then the crazy guy. You know, like I never see somebody in sport like this crazy.
Starting point is 00:05:56 He was really crazy. And then... I was feeling bad for my friend because he did recognize this and I cannot tell him bro you're crazy This guy stupid. He don't know what what he's talking about and I was going there every day hitting bags and I was trying better in Georgia. I was already fighting like why I'm trying I why I come here and I was going crazy and this guy already anyway, so I loved him six months later because he made me a fight Amateur boxing four times and two times keep boxing and uh anyway so long story short and after I left this and maybe about like almost one years ago I find the Serralongo team and it was the
Starting point is 00:06:41 time when Aljo finished his college and then right yeah and he started training at Serra Longo team only wrestling no he was good fighter he was mixed by you he was the guy he studied YouTube learn by by himself you know break the fights down study study study learn but the teaching us also like some but I mean I don't speak English you know that time I have zero English I just want to fight you know MMA I want like real fights I'm tired of cutting weight in boxing and keep boxing you know it's fucking bullshit and I saw him you were sparring with other guy like him you know what's the guy was Anthony no no anyways Eddie Eddie Anthony
Starting point is 00:07:26 Anthony Anyway, so, okay, anyway, so, and okay, when I see him, he was already, I believe, six and or seven, no, pro fighter. And because I was hungry, like, I need a fighter, I need to remember wrestling, I need the real people, you know, saying, just no, I was with losers, I was with crazy people, you know, like, you know, like, I was missing home, I was missing some people, you know, like, and then I see real people, you know, real gym, like fighter like Al Jammai Stanley. And I feel love with him all right away, you know, because, you know, like, I was missing home. like I can look up to him. He's a fighter already. You can start to work towards your goal. Yeah, and then yeah, I just look up to me, whatever, you know, anyway.
Starting point is 00:08:08 So, and then he was the already fighter. That's all I need to. I need to fight in my people, you know? Yeah. And he was the guy who was training, set up his own training schedule, and sparring. And the time it was big hope for me. But the time, you know, we did training with sparring, Aljo, choke me. And he never wanted to fight with me because I wasn't dead enough.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Yeah. So anyways, and then me, of course, he made me humble. And I'm like, I realize, yeah, I think I have 10 fights in Georgia. I mean, I beat everybody. But now I'm here. I'm in a real fight. Yeah. Aljo, when you're starting your career as he's starting his career,
Starting point is 00:08:51 and we spoke about this before he came, you said, the first session, you guys have won, and you're sparring. and he's very green, but he never stops. He develops this style that he carries today as a world champion, and it's brought him to the heights that he's reached. But how soon did you guys decide as friends that we're not fighting? Because out of that gym, right, you guys both living in Vegas now, but trained out of Saralongo.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Ray Longo still corners you guys. You guys are still so loyal to that team. Both have now won these belts. How quickly did you guys realize that this friend, Friendship means more than money or whatever comes from it. For me, I didn't even have to think about it. It was just one of those things that just happened naturally where we were just training with each other all the time. And then when we both just kept winning and kept winning and kept winning,
Starting point is 00:09:43 then we both start to climb to the top. I think I entered the top five again after I lost two, Caraway and Rafael Sunsau. And then the Marlon Mariah's fight. But then I called my way back to top five. and then Marab was just entering back into, entering for the first time into the top 15, top 10. And I just never even gave it a thought like, oh, we might fight each other.
Starting point is 00:10:07 I never thought about it. Was there pressure from the organization? Because I can tell you from experience, when I made my decision to go 205, it was because I was in a meeting and they said, you're number two or three now, and you're too good. You guys are both too good to stay away from each other.
Starting point is 00:10:23 You're ultimately going to get to where you're going to be, have to fight for the belt. So I said, well, I'll just move weight classes. Was there never pressure to try to make you guys fight? Because I know that was outside pressure. The media, talking heads were like, well, he got to fight. There's no way they're not going to. That was not till later on.
Starting point is 00:10:41 But I never, like I said, I never even thought about it. It wasn't like a, it didn't seem like a reality until I was like, when they first brought up, I was like, oh, I just realized we're both pretty damn good. But I never thought of it like. yo i have to get ready for mara because one day we might fight each other yeah thought like that i always felt like uh i would eventually go up and he even whenever we did talk about it he also even entertained he was like maybe i could see if i could make 25 but i even said that i was like i don't there's no reason to go 25 you don't have to kill yourself
Starting point is 00:11:14 and i was like i'm i'm big for the weight i know i'm going to eventually have to go up to 145 and here i am um it would have liked to have gotten that last one on my way out but uh it is what it is You know, sometimes change comes whenever things go sideways. Alex Pereira went to 205 because Izzy knocked him up, right? You lose your belt, you go to 1.45. You won your first fight against Calvin Cater, a guy who's been around forever. And it opens the door for your boy, Marab. Now, we got to talk about Sean O'Malley, right?
Starting point is 00:11:45 Because he's a massive presence in both of your careers now. That fight that you had with him came a very short time after he fought Henry Coodle. You were very vocal. I remember talking to Ryan Clark. and you had said after you beat Peter Yan or T.J. Dilleshaw you needed time. I go, he needs time, but I know how this
Starting point is 00:12:02 works as a champion. When he needs somebody they call you, then the money becomes bigger and they're like, okay, then you beat Henry Sehudo in New Jersey, come back and fight Sean O'Malley, Boston, only three and a half months later. For a big guy, it's very difficult. How long did it take you to get over what happened? And
Starting point is 00:12:17 then you fast forward to last weekend and you're back seeing him, in that position wearing that belt what are you feeling have the fight with Marab's about to start? And what I was feeling before the fight was about the start was oh sweet karma is about to happen
Starting point is 00:12:36 You just knew I just knew because I've trained with him I fought him I've analyzed his tapes and I knew what I need to do to beat him and there's a mental components of fighting you have to be mentally there you have to want to be in there
Starting point is 00:12:50 versus someone tugging at you and say hey man come do this because it'll be good if you can help us out. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to take his fans. Like, that's all cool and all, but at the end of the day, we know as athletes, you have to put the work in. That's one thing. Showing up is not that hard, but the hardest part is to actually be in that back room
Starting point is 00:13:09 and be like, I'm ready. I want to fuck this dude. I'm dialed in to go. And yeah, it is what it is. But I was, in my head, it was like, this is going to be the sweetest thing to watch. And it was very fitting for the name of Sugar, you know, so. Yeah. This is going to be very smart.
Starting point is 00:13:25 You're so funny. Murrow, you just headlined one of the biggest cards in UFC history. When you walked out into the sphere for the first time and saw all of it, did you look around and go, holy shit, this is crazy? You know what, no. You didn't notice it? No, I do, but, okay, when then I announced this fight at the spear, I'm like, wow, I was, oh my, I hope I will fuck there, you know, I want to fight there.
Starting point is 00:13:54 And then that's why I was pushing and making all the skits and I know, Amali also want to fight there and then he was making all this video and then and then when Hunter called me about like two months ago and he told me the yes, no no, we're fighting for the bar. And just don't do anything stupid, like don't pull out this place. I'm like, no Hunter, I promise. I'm not. And it was for me, that time was, wow, I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:14:22 I'm actually main event. event at the spear and I was happy but next day I was just focused for Friday you know but what about when you walked out there on Saturday it was just been crazy I mean you are a hundred foot tall inside there like there's a picture of you when they introduced you're a hundred foot tall I don't like I was just I my I heard my music I had fun and I looked at people like around there I don't really go wow I even saw Sean kind of go yeah if you watch his walk out he kind of was like I don't have this like even have that feel once I go there I'm like we was talking like normal like
Starting point is 00:14:59 you know I was you know because in Lackerm I was very normal like I had we go there very early and I have to wait and I don't want to warm up too early and I don't want to like nervous because it's okay now it's not time where's it where's um Maraub's friend at the kid that walked me in here I don't know his name Bato Bato Bato uh and so and then so and then the almost it's time to and almost get ready and I was like I started to talk with Tim. Okay, let's let's talk about reasons why I have to beat this, you know, like make myself to a little bit mad or a little bit in the fight. Because I was very normal, you know, it's for me, it was like... Scary a little bit, like, oh, why am I not mad?
Starting point is 00:15:37 Yeah, exactly, exactly. And I'm making myself like, you know, motivated, more motivated and I was normal again and I was just... Was the fight what you expected? Or was it harder? Was it easier? Like, was it what you thought it was going to be? So I always accept worst and like war and I was ready for, I mean, everything. It's an M.M.A. fight. And I know Sean's training, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, striking, boxing, you know, and he's a top guy. He's champion. And I was ready for everything, but I can make fight easy and that's what I did. I make fight easy. But was it surprising to you guys that he was the, it was.
Starting point is 00:16:22 the underdog like he opened as the favorite but then the world bet Sean O'Malley to be the favorite even though Marab had that ability to control the fight were you surprised that he was the underdog I don't pay attention too much this I know beginning I was favorite no yeah you were favorite in the beginning big paper beginning and I don't know maybe because I opened my eye yeah you open your eye and then you cutting yourself it was bad man it was really bad yeah Dana White said you're the craziest. That's so bad. I'm sorry, Benham.
Starting point is 00:16:56 I mean, you know, you crazy fight their champion now, you know? Yeah. Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, name? Huge news. We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast?
Starting point is 00:17:09 Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Starting point is 00:17:26 We were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band. Before Jonas Brothers was... This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
Starting point is 00:17:46 and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs Tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris, every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on clay. Jenchian win.
Starting point is 00:19:40 I mean, she went down at three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted. She's an outsider to win the French for me. And she likes Clay. Listen, Lerner Rabakina is. arguably the best player in the world right now. And I actually can win on any surface because if she's serving, well, good luck. Consider this your court side seat to the French Open. Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
Starting point is 00:20:10 So Alja, when you're in there, right, because you've been very vocal about the idea that things weren't ideal going into that fight. Watching Sean, struggle in the way that he did. I was looking at you and you were very animated. You were, you were coaching and coaching hard. You said you felt like sweet karma was coming, but when you're watching it happen, like, what are you?
Starting point is 00:20:34 You're just smiling from here to ear. I'm watching you smile right now as you were smiling next to the octagon. I was like, I told you, motherfuckers. That's all I was thinking in my head. I was like, I told these guys. These guys are assholes. His fans particularly are just pricks, man.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Really? A lot of his fans are just pricks. Really, because he started gloating and started saying all this stuff. I accepted the loss in grace. You know, I shot for the stars in a not-so-ideal situation. If I won great, and I try to build the fight, I try to help us both make some money. And the pay-bove numbers didn't even do that great. Really? I was even more.
Starting point is 00:21:14 But that's like the idea, right? To fight a guy that's a big-time star, you can make a lot of money. I know what money I made fighting John Jones opposed to what I was making fighting other guys. John and I had the great rivalry. We have the back and forth like you guys. You don't want to say no names? I'm joking. Probably my worst one was probably when I fought Alexander Gustafson.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Rumble and I always did really well. I did really well with Steepay Miochich. But it was massive difference. 400,000 pay-per-views from John Jones opposed to everyone else. 300,000 paper views between me and John and Stepe. So when you get the fight and the number, how surprised were you? That it didn't, because paper view is hard. It's a hard business.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Of course. I think the old models should probably go away. You think. Yeah. I mean, that's what I think. People keep stealing the damn pay-per-views. It's so ridiculous. So it's really hard to measure just,
Starting point is 00:22:08 people will start talking about the numbers as if that's an indicator of anything. If anything, it just shows how many people are actually streaming the fights. Yeah. You know, so. Do you think that Sean O'Malley, after the fight with Marab and he struggled mightily on his take down the fence. I was very surprised,
Starting point is 00:22:25 but I think it was because Marab knocked him off of his feet every time. You know, a lot of people try to take him down against the fence, but he's so long that he defends. Maraub was hitting him at his hips and kind of picking him up and throwing him down. Do you think that he can correct that? Because you and I spoke last week, and you said,
Starting point is 00:22:41 it doesn't matter how long I box. I'm not going to catch him in the boxing. Yeah. Can he close the gap on these guys in terms of the wrestling? I'm talking to you Aljo. I think it's just a difference. It's just a timing thing. So whether or not he could catch up with that,
Starting point is 00:22:56 he might have good fundamental basic defense. But when the guy shoots it, when a guy shoots in and it gets a clean shot off of really well-time entry, it's going to be hard for anyone to stop. No matter how good your hips are. They get in when you're throwing a punch and you're off balance. It's a lot easier. What did you say?
Starting point is 00:23:16 I said he's I sent it to him shopping he was gonna oh he left I sent it to him to bring some pizza and something oh you want some pizza no you're gonna treat yourself a little nice I'm a georgian so whenever we have a guest we have to fit them you know really yeah yeah I'm starving too yeah I have what I'm gonna eat I have already I'm gonna go get dinner after I'm done with you yeah I put dinner off to come to you how are you gonna eat some georgian they give me some corn ready it smells really good up yeah yeah hey why do you guys both live here. I drive past. I was like, uh, I wonder where my Rob lives. Look to the left, uh, weight room, gym, everything. Then I say, I look for Al Joh's. I look Al Jaws. Mercedes Bens, Tesla,
Starting point is 00:24:02 range rober. Why, why does that like this celebrity guy? You are, what is this guy? One nice car. This guy is Mercedes Benz, Tesla, because cyber truck. This crazy guy. But most important we both have a gym in a garage. He has a gym too? Yeah. You guys are hardworking guys. Yeah, man. Okay, so I wanted your boy because you win the championship.
Starting point is 00:24:27 I saw a video of people in Georgia. Yes. Did you see that video? Yeah. What does that make you feel? Man, I'm grateful because of my country. My country give me power always and the extra motivation to be who I am, you know. I'm like regular Georgian.
Starting point is 00:24:45 You are top people. but and and we are humble good people but same time we can be motherfucker still yeah well you said that last week you were bothered because you felt like Sean was looking down on you yes yeah so but Sean was Sean was it seemed like he took this pretty humbly the defeat to his credit he's not making excuses he just kind of was sprawling the next day sprawling I just watched I was when I was running I was running I I was listening his podcast and then he was different person. He was humble and I was like, okay, he was very humble.
Starting point is 00:25:24 And he said, yeah. Now he's humble, but this team he's called, Oh yeah, I have a question for you, okay, you never talked about it. So, okay, I'm in a fight, fighting, and then this team mentioning my name and telling me something, you're like, bro, just leave me along, why are you coaching?
Starting point is 00:25:44 We just tell you a gun. So he was actually coaching you. Not coaching me. He said like, stay patient, shoot now, something. Do you, morale? Yeah, he said Merab, Marab, do this, Marab, do this, Marab do that. Somebody said he did that in your fight. Yeah, I didn't hear him.
Starting point is 00:25:59 And then they took that clip, ESPN, and they posted it, and they made it seem like that's why I threw a punch. I'm like, bro, I did not hear that. But why he was coaching you? He was coaching, but. Is that why you turned away? I was so mad because I know he was trying to do same thing, Aljo.
Starting point is 00:26:13 He was calling it. the time to like something like this and then bro we MMA fighters we are respectful to other team in the fighters you know we don't do this dirty shit you know you know this more than everybody and then we never will do this to like a coach your opponent you know like not coached disrespect yeah yeah distract they make him like do some mistake or yeah exactly and then and I was so mad because of me now he's trying to and I'm like just Coach your guy stop like talk to me, you know?
Starting point is 00:26:47 And then like, and then the referee stopped, stop, he said, stop. But the hurricane on Saturday kept saying work. That was pissing me off. How was, I mean, that was very surprising. That was very, what was going on there? All the fans, everyone pointed out. There's means making fun of him saying, saying, I'm about to stand you up because he's throwing knees, he's don't punch.
Starting point is 00:27:09 I don't understand why we're saying work. Like, I really don't understand what happened. No, it's okay. I mean, I don't have, I mean, he was good, I did, you know. That's Saturday night, it's not as good as he's been. Yeah, okay, maybe. That's being honest, man. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I was so, I was very, I was very shocked.
Starting point is 00:27:27 I mean, I don't have anything against these two moments when I started yelling at me, and then he stopped me, he said, Marab, stop, I will do this. I wish he did before, like, without me, when he heard, but I'm sure he wasn't thinking about my name. Everything's moving fast. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And he doesn't know, like, he's my corner or his corner, and I'm sure he's not thinking about it. But this, I understand, when I was yelling,
Starting point is 00:27:51 he stopped and he said, Marav, you do your job, and I will, yeah, and he did tell after, after. After stop. Yeah, after he did tell, and after Tim try again, and he stopped him, I think. And okay, the second time was, what happened, it's funny moment. You kiss him. Yeah, I'm choking, and then I heard the bell.
Starting point is 00:28:09 I'm like, oh, 10 seconds. It's not enough time to finish him. And I look him and kiss tapping, no, I don't think he's gonna tap. But I don't think he's gonna go sleep with it. But let me make him fun on him and then let me show him who's daddy here. And I kiss him and I'm waiting for the same time. You know, the two referee told me the time. He wants you.
Starting point is 00:28:29 And then once the referee touched me, I'm like, it's this time and I let go. So you think the referee, so did he touch you? That's why you let him go? I thought you just let him go. He did. He said. The referee touched him. I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:28:41 No, the referee just let him go. He said, hey, hey, stop there. And then, I don't remember he touching me, but I remember, hey, hey, stop dead. And then I thought it was time. You know, because I was waiting. I know that it was under 10 seconds. And then when I said, hey, hey, stop there. And I'm like, oh, it's time.
Starting point is 00:28:59 I guess time. I don't hear time. And I'm like, walking. Oh, like, what the fall of these is. You know, like, and then like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You know, like, that was.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Okay. Okay. I tried to. Fifth round, the rob gets hurt. I saw. Oh, oh. I started. When they did that in the first round, then I said, I said, hurt, you need to say something.
Starting point is 00:29:17 And he was like, I forgot what he said. He kind of like, wave me off. I was like, oh, now, you just opened the flood gate. So I started going, oh, Malley, your laces, I'm tied. Oh, so you're doing, oh, my. I did that. I'm like, why you have to do that? I was like, Sean, you're slipping your laces.
Starting point is 00:29:32 Watch out in the cage. Showing you're too close to the cage. Why should take that's coming now? Do you hear this? I heard. What is that what you're doing? I'm like, like, I'm like, like, like, like, Oh, let's go, yeah, me.
Starting point is 00:29:45 It was chaos. It was chaos. Fifth round, this guy gets hurt. I mean, you guys must have been like, oh my God. I wanted to ask you, too, because I know you said your stomach was hurting when you ate that bar. Yes, okay.
Starting point is 00:29:58 So I didn't know if that was from the kick or from... Usually we have a good warm up, me and Aljo, right? And we did warm up, two rounds or three rounds? Three rounds. We go really hard. Aljo let me walk. Of course, he was the punch guy.
Starting point is 00:30:11 How do you say? Punching bag. like you know I and I warm up good and I said I still have a time and I said I'm gonna do one more again and then rabbi before fight and then but I had good warm up I look good and he like make me look good and so I said okay let's warm up again and when I started I'm like I don't want to do this one again and I'm hungry yeah like yeah you stopped early yeah I'm like okay I'm good I'm good but I mean maybe let me eat some sugar oh let me drink something but when I
Starting point is 00:30:43 they have a prime. I'm like, I hope, I want to drink this because some sugar, you know, but like this tasty, maybe I don't want to, you know, like you know, when you go five rounds, I don't want to like feel like, dry, like, like, like, like, okay, maybe. John would give me some, you know, dude,
Starting point is 00:30:58 they give you a bag, they're like, something sweet, you know? And I eat that yogurt or something sweet, and I like something, no apple. Oh, like the apple sauce thing, it's like a little pouch. Once I eat it, my stomach, like, what the fuck? My stomach is running like, like, what? Oh my god. Like, of course it's about the time now, go, you know?
Starting point is 00:31:20 It's like, you cannot take your time. You need to go, shit. No, not like that, but like I feel the pain, you know, in my stomach. Okay, anyway, I fight and then, and then fifth round, it's everything. He got me. I'm like, I feel this pain, like, like, and I'm like, fuck, what's going on? But now, of course, I want to be smart, I run, make sure. I did extra, maybe.
Starting point is 00:31:40 I wish he's going to come. and then maybe some knocking maybe a punch yeah yeah yeah he must have been a little nervous yeah he he i don't know what i was because i was like i can't tell that really hurt him because sometimes in the gym we'll spar and you hit him to the body and then he'll act like he's hurt and they got it's very close i do very close yeah i do this problem so then i thought i was like i don't know if that really hurt him or not but mallie's coming hard right now it's like it's either it's possible or he's really hurt i was like i can't tell no i'm uh he did he did he did he did He did got me, but I wasn't like a, but I was extra careful.
Starting point is 00:32:15 He did land the good, good clothes. All right, well, Aljo, before I let you guys go. I got you. Mold'sar of Loia for, oh, yeah. I will death, oh, Funk Harbor. Signed, seal delivered. Let me see. And you can get that at Funk HarborRum. Shop.
Starting point is 00:32:32 Funk Harbor Rum. Shop. Hey, somebody give me a cup, little ice, please. Anybody. Check a month. Please. A, two, two, please. champ hey three you oh yeah fight no we don't three I'm taking one bro okay three please oh my John Jones right now oh wow let's end I learned from Joe
Starting point is 00:32:52 wait no hold on Molsar of lawyer this guy you have to fight him first fight oh I sure that this one you beat Calvin Cater 1 45 of you're off and running now you got have lawyer big time fight in Salt Lake City what's the expectation and what's the expectation if you get the victory It's a tough fight, man. A lot of people are writing him off as a boring fighter, but I think he's actually really, really good. He's a smart fighter.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Never really puts himself in bad positions. And if he does, he always finds a way out. He's hard to submit. Great cardio. Honestly, I feel like he's like the 145 Marab. Like, he just constantly goes. Maybe not as good of a gas tank, but I think he's pretty damn good.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Expectations, I think if I can style on him, maybe get a finish. The world's you I think that opens up the world For a title show Well Holloway and Ilya Ailiate to 4 year fighting
Starting point is 00:33:47 Big time fight at 145 Who do you got now? I don't know It's such a tough fight I'm so good He's good man Max looked as good as ever In that last fight against Gingji
Starting point is 00:33:58 And he showed the dog in him In that last 10 seconds of That fight at USC 300 Nobody thought he was going to do that to Justin Ging Like Why would you even want to do it You're winning And he still
Starting point is 00:34:10 And dude, he was like this close to getting hit by a right hand from Justin. And his ducks under, I think it was a right left, right over the top, right on the chin. And man, like I said, both these guys can scrap. I don't know who I'm picking in that. The one thing I will say is Max's footwork could be a little bit problematic in the early goings of the round. But if Max starts to slow down and I'll start to touch him to the body and then finds his chin, I can see I'll be winning that as well. You're the champion now, so everybody wants to fight. You're out running.
Starting point is 00:34:45 They don't want to fight before, but now that he's got the bell, that's the thing, right? That's how it happens, right? That's how it happens, right? You have a guy like Marab, you have a guy like Kamarouzman when he was on his run. They have to win so many fights. You don't want to be in the video? Hey, get over here, man. This Maraal's brother right there.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Look at it. He's scared, like you don't want me in the video. That's how it happens, right? Those guys like Marab, like Kamaru, they have to work harder to become the champion because nobody wants to fight him. But you're the champ now and you're to hunt it. And Umar and Megamara was shown on the screen. Bro, bring it here, bro, bring it. Bring it here.
Starting point is 00:35:26 But then someone, Chelle Sondon told me, Chil Sondon told me you said, Davis and Figueroido. Yeah, because he's more a wallyw guy, I think, you know, more dangerous guy. Hey, listen. That excites me more. But you know, I fight best of the best. I put Josiah, the other guy's name, Henry Sehuto, and even other guys, that tough guys, you think I'm scared of the,
Starting point is 00:35:50 I choose opponent, no, okay. I'll give you small, because you got to fight coming up in the week. Hey, oh, you don't drink, huh? Okay, let me tell you this. Not like, whatever he's about to start? Okay, last 14 years, I don't drink. I did drink only beer a little bit, but alcohol like vodka, whiskey, or anything like this.
Starting point is 00:36:14 I did drink little champagne. For Jamaican rum. All right. So anyway, only alcohol, basically I drink this alcohol. Okay, congratulations, champ, on a victory, Aljo. I mean, two champions from that Jim and Sero Longo and Chris Wydenman, the work that you guys have done and now doing it in Las Vegas. Truly tremendous.

Starting point is 00:37:19 You want to say toast? Okay, Judge. I want to say toast. You see, first of all, I respect and, I mean, let's share for us. We are three champions here. Yeah. And, uh...
Starting point is 00:37:34 Hey, Kaczyll? Yeah. John Jones was at your party. How was that? You gotta be very careful with this guy. This guy's not like, he's good. He's good. He's good. He's very respect. He's a goat. He's good. But this guy is the party goat, too.
Starting point is 00:37:49 It's okay. It's okay, huh? God bless us. And it's what an honor to me. I'm in your show as a champion now. And me and Aljo, we are continuing. I will see you in Utah for Aljo fight? Yes, I will believe. But your nose, it's not you can say. It's clearly broken.
Starting point is 00:38:07 Your nose. But right now it's broken. No, it's just good. You can't scratch me. But it's over here. Not touch, touch, touch this is very strong, brother. It's nothing broke. It's nothing broke.
Starting point is 00:38:17 No, it's still like this. They need to resent this. No, no, it's strong. I can breathe, I'm strong. If Omali punch me here, you will broke his hand. It's strong, this way. Touch this, hey. Big respect, you are, you're a two division champion.
