Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, what's good, y'all? You're listening to Learn the Hard Way with your favorite therapist and host, Kear Games.
Starting point is 00:01:10 This space is about black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing. How many men carry a suit or armor? It signals to the world that you're not to be played with. And just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to. Listen to learn the hard way on the AHA radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, this is Robert from the Stuff to Blow Your Mind podcast. Joe and I are both lifelong Star Wars fan, so we're celebrating May the 4th with a brand new week of fun, thought-provoking Star Wars-related episodes.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Join us as we tackle science and culture topics from a galaxy far, far away, such as the biology of Tontons and Wampas on the ice planet, or the practicality and corporate business sense of the Sith rule of two. Listen to stuff to blow your mind on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On the Look Back at it podcast. 1979, that was a big moment for me. 84's big to me. I'm Sam J.
Starting point is 00:02:12 And I'm Alex English. Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors. Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s. 84 was a wild year. It was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Listen to look back at it on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Starting point is 00:04:24 At that fight, they looked at the Antahun. Yeah. We'll talk about it. Mom, man. Not only a fan, but big time friend. I'm a fan of you. You're a man, boy. No, don't worry.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Thank you. Way much. Shoo, look at that. Let me see that. Yeah, boy. That's nice, huh? It is, it is. Hey, look, I got to, I ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:04:45 I just gotta know, Doug. I gotta know, Doug. Bro, like, you have a family, your family has money. Your family is rich, right? Like, because you put to $2 million, Jim in your house, you just won the belt. How could you have that much money? Because I do
Starting point is 00:05:03 solve a part of the UFC. I do many, many things. Dude, I much money. When I first saw you, I thought you looked rich. You got to look rich a little bit, but like, no? No. Damn, Jim. Probably I'm wearing cheaper clothes than
Starting point is 00:05:18 than you. Probably. No, no, this is nice clothes. It is. It looks good. But it's not so expensive. Because normally when we become champion, we get a lot of money, you know? Yeah. But you got money like you've been the champ for 10 years. You got John Jones money.
Starting point is 00:05:36 He's got money like John Jones. He just won the belt. I just tried to do my things outside the UFC too. Yeah. So thanks to God, everything is going great. Thank you for checking it with me. Guys, Ili, I'll pour you his back. Champ, we sat down in Anaheim, right?
Starting point is 00:05:52 And I sat in that room and you had your team, and you were telling me all these. things that was going to happen. And they're all in the side. And they're all going, yeah, yeah. And I'm like thinking to myself, like, yo, it's much harder when you're in there what they do.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Exactly. And I even said it to you. But then you go out there and you did all that. Where does that confidence come from? From how I work, from all the sacrifices that I know that I'm making in all the training camps I have. because I know that there is a God in the sky
Starting point is 00:06:30 who is saying all the work you're putting in something in the desire you have for the things. So yeah, I had that belief. And at the same time, I used to say like this that both faith and fear demand you to believe in something that you never saw. And I always prefer in things that make me feel happy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Yeah. So when you guys were, when you, you got here in 2020. Yeah. Vocal's already a man. Yeah. Max Holloway was already the man. Yeah. You come in here and you, you become a UFC fighter.
Starting point is 00:07:07 You're clearly looking at the top and seeing these guys rule atop the division. But when you get here, you never seem to get overwhelmed by the moment. I mean, honestly, I was the champion and I saw Anderson Silva. Yeah. And I was fighting him. And I was like, fuck, that's Anderson Silva. Do you, like, in the octagon, because I remember him kicking force, gripping in the face, and I was like, Jesus Christ, I'm about to fight Anderson Silva.
Starting point is 00:07:28 If you ever get those moments, like, I've been there four years, and I'm already fighting Alexander Volcanowski for the belt? Yeah, of course. I have that same kind of feelings, you know, I'm fighting walk. I'm fighting Max Holloway. I have been following their careers since I start with the sports. So it's something amazing, but let me ask you something. When you fall with Anderson Silva, you were like, I'm fighting Anderson Silva.
Starting point is 00:07:50 you were like, I'm fighting Anderson Silva. And then they said fight, it didn't matter who he was. Exactly. But at the same time, you had the feeling that I'm better than him. I'm going to beat him. Yeah, I'm going to do that. He has a big name. He's a legend.
Starting point is 00:08:03 All the respect to Anderson Silva. But once the octagon is close, you can't even put my brother there. We are fighting for our dreams, you know? Outside the octagon, all the best, brother. What you need, I will be there for you. What did that feeling feel like? What did that moment feel like when you beat Volcanovsky? He goes down and they wrap that belt around your waist.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Because, not, dude, I always say to people, it's impossible to become UFC champion. It's almost impossible because it's so hard to be the best at this. Yeah. What did it feel like when they wrap that belt around you? Wow, it's something amazing, Daniel. It's something that I can describe with a simple words. You know, when you have a dream since you are a kid and you are able to achieve and you're, You look up and you see yourself in the screen.
Starting point is 00:08:52 And Dana is putting the belt around. I visualized that moment so many times. Look at myself in the mirror after the shower or something like clogging the eyes and visualizing all that things. And then see it in reality. It's something that you can describe with a simple. You don't sleep. It's impossible to sleep. It's impossible.
Starting point is 00:09:12 It's like once you're done, like it's impossible to sleep. It's like the best meal afterwards you eat. It's the best meal. kiss you woman, the best kiss ever. Isn't it the greatest? It's the best. The best feeling in the world. Yeah. Everyone has to experience that feeling.
Starting point is 00:09:25 But they don't, don't. They don't get to. It's reserved for us. Yeah. It's reserved for only the few, the less than 1%. Only for the champions. Only for the people who really are special. Special.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Yeah. They say it's Max Halloween next. When we spoke in Anaheim, you said, I ain't fighting Max. I'm not fighting you out here. I ain't fighting any of these dudes because what would change? Was that fight at 300 enough to make you go, I want to fight him? Exactly, because before that, I was like, he doesn't deserve the title shot.
Starting point is 00:09:57 He fought with a guy that I just knocked out in seven minutes. He lost three times. I don't have anything to prove with him. But after he's knocked out in UFC 300 and how the fight was going, like, I'm like, we have a clear challenger. He deserves that title fight So he gets a title fight And it's kind of been like Not great between you two cents
Starting point is 00:10:24 And that's kind of unexpected I didn't expect you guys To kind of be back and forth At each other as much of you have Why? Why has it been like that? Because we were supposed to fight in the sphere First of all He said you were lying about that
Starting point is 00:10:36 When you guys run that interview He goes this dude's lying He said it wasn't true So maybe you have to sit down With Dana and I'm hunter Yeah Because this is the information I get from their side But they told me, no, he's asking to fight with Michael Chandler.
Starting point is 00:10:49 He wants to stay at 155. I'm like, bro, what's going on with you? You're going to fight for a world higher. You don't have this kind of opportunity every day. So I'm like, he's a pussy. He can't possibly believe that, really? Yeah, I don't know. At the same time, it's like Max Holloway.
Starting point is 00:11:08 He doesn't want to fight. It's hard to believe in something like that, you know? And, yeah, finally, he accepted the fight. And yeah, we have the fight Saturday night. We don't have much time because the last guy fucking talked 30 minutes. Who is this guy, man? Who is this guy? He talked 30 minutes.
Starting point is 00:11:26 I want to beat the fucking door. Like, hey, hurry up, man. I want to talk to the gym. We can sit here. How much do you want? But listen, champ, you guys are fighting. You are sure you're going to knock him out. Where does that confidence come from?
Starting point is 00:11:42 Because I know what I'm able to do. inside that act. And I know about my power, my skills, my technique, my fight IQ, he's been saying that I don't have a fight IQ. Come on, I'm the war champion. You're the challenger. You have seven professional defeats. I have zero. What fight that Q did did you show in you, in, in, you defeats? So I always find a way to win, and you don't. So that means that I have more fight like you than you and I'm gonna prove it once again he's he's good striker but he's not good in wrestling he's not good in the ground work has been saying now if he's going to try to take him down he's going to stand up quickly bro this is the only thing you know to do in wrestling yeah like
Starting point is 00:12:32 he has a great chin I don't want never ever to people to know me as as the greatest chin in the UFC that means that I take a lot too much too much I don't want that I don't want the greatest fight in the UFC history because that means that I have a... It was competitive. It was very competitive. I want to dominate people. I want to moor people. This is what I'm going to do with Maxo.
Starting point is 00:12:55 I'm going to make him look easy. That's exactly. If he stays in the middle of the Okina and the first 10 seconds of the fight, you're going to see the fastest knock on the UFC history because I know how good I am inside that okay. I'm the best. Trust me. I'm the best. And I work really, really hard to have this kind of...
Starting point is 00:13:13 have this kind of confidence and to be able to say this. You know, before, I would have been like, this dude's out of his mind. I left that interview and I'm going, this dude's out of his mind. But you're speaking your truth. You absolutely believe this 100%. People think that I'm trust talking and I'm not, I'm just saying the truth. This is really what I feel inside myself. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:35 And from the bottom of my heart, I just feel that I'm better than him everywhere and I'm going to prove it. I'm like, I'm not only talking, talking, talking. and no, I'm going to pro it on Saturday. Here I am, cutting the weight, struggling. It's always hard. Even if you have the easiest weight cut, it's always hard because you know how much we love the food.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Yeah. But, yeah, here I am. Guys, Iliate Tuporia defends his championship this weekend against Max Holloway. Main event, UFC 308, lasting champ. Hey, Real Madrid, you guys are cheaters. Why? How are you getting, Boppe?
Starting point is 00:14:12 This is cheating. Why? Because, dude, we can't just pay enough money to just buy everybody You're like the Yankees. This is bad. Everybody hates this team now because it is. This is cheating.
Starting point is 00:14:24 When you win, they always call you a cheater. They always try to find some excuses that don't give you the credit you deserve. This team is so cheating that when I play the video game, I picked them, the opponent online quit. They don't even play.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Nah. This is such a cheating team to four years. Wow. Guys, the champ returns to the Octagon this weekend, and he fights Max Holloway, tries to finish championship. Ilya, thanks for checking it with me, man. Hey, El Madador. Look, you can bump El Madador?
Starting point is 00:14:53 Dude's hair doesn't even move. You push El Madador like that. Hair just stays in place. Guys, follow everything he's doing. Make sure you tap into the champion. Until next time, peace. Pee, bye. You know, man.
Starting point is 00:15:06 You know what you? You're the man. You're the man. All right, guys. So you remember when you were a kid, you had those quick drinks? Well, frog fuel is like that. It's not your typical protein supplement. It's a ready-to-drink daily recovery protein shot.
Starting point is 00:15:20 So you grab it, you hit it, no mixing, no nothing. Frog fuel has a proprietary formula that is nano-hydroized, so it digests in only 15 minutes. It goes to work right away, supporting muscle growth and soft tissue recovery after hard workouts and the demands of a person that has an active lifestyle. It comes in a portable. ready to drink one-out shot.
Starting point is 00:15:44 So no mixing, no mess, no measuring. I always had powder all over the counter whenever I was mixing my protein shakes. And if you're one of those people that just loves their protein powder, frog fuel can be used in addition to that powdered protein. So all you do, you just got to rip it and sip it and get on with your day.
Starting point is 00:16:07 The boy's like a rapper now. I mean, I'm proud of myself. So check out Frog Fuel. for more. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the I-Hart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.

Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm CJ Toledano and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
Starting point is 00:18:00 His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us
Starting point is 00:18:22 on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nass would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying. He running up the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball, like, after you go through a training camp with that, I say,
Starting point is 00:18:39 you figure it out. real quick. Ah, yeah. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is Saigon, the story of my family and of the country that shaped us. The United States will not stand by and allow any power, however great, take over another
Starting point is 00:19:01 country. From IHeart Podcast, Saigon. Please allow me to introduce Joseph Sherman. You don't think I'm serious about a free Vietnam? I should stop talking so much. I like hearing you talk. One city, a divided country, and the war that tore America apart. This is for Vietnam.
Starting point is 00:19:18 I've taken a hit from Japanese ground fire. They're pouring petrol all over him. He's holding matches. I'm on a landmine. For free time. Let's get out. Freedom from Vietnam. Run!
Starting point is 00:19:32 Saigon, starring Kelly Marie Tran and Rob Benedict. Sting, here's madness. The world should hear about it. this. There's a fire coming to this country and it's going to burn out everything. Listen to Saigon on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Listen to the 1021 podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, Max? Thanks for checking in with the boy again, as always. Guys, Max Bless Holloway. How you feeling, champ? Feel good, bro. Feel good, can we?
Starting point is 00:20:35 Think about this, though. Think about where you were at UFC 300. 10 more pounds, not cutting right now to how you feel right now. I feel great. I know you feel great, but that shit kind of sucks a little bit. I mean, I just, it sucks because I couldn't eat ramen, bro. I mean, so much ramen, bro. Really?
Starting point is 00:20:51 The lot of the out of 55 fight, so much ramen, bro. You put an egg in it? Yeah, there's a boiled egg in it, for sure. I love the egg. No, mine is just ramen with the bald egg. Nothing else. Yeah, yeah. You put meat in that, too?
Starting point is 00:21:03 Yeah, of course. Not good. Just egg, ramen soup, all I need, all that vegetables. I don't like the vegetables I don't like the vegetables I eat like a child like an eight year old child You are a child
Starting point is 00:21:18 You are a year old child brother So we're back here For another fight You I always think back to The last fight when you fought Alex And my son and I We walked into your hotel room
Starting point is 00:21:29 And in the darkest moment You never Started to waver When I was like yo So what's next Right Because when we lose Right you saw me
Starting point is 00:21:37 After I lost I lost the steep in Anaheim I'm talking about I don't know if I'm a fight again. You never wavered. You always said, I'm going to get back. Like, how do you, where'd you develop that, that attitude of where I'm just never going to give up on myself and I'm never going to give up on the idea that I could be the champ? Well, first of all, I wasn't like 50. You used 50, so that's why I used to take it. Hey, Ray, right here. I have no more. I only
Starting point is 00:22:00 have black this part. It's going to all be great here. You're crazy. But, you know, all jokes aside, it's just, what are we from, bro? I'm not, I'm not even supposed to be here, bro. You know, Being from the west side of Wahoo, Hawaii and I, I just had so many things stacked up against me, bro. Like, this ain't going to waver me. It is what it is. I know I was stood young. I am stood young.
Starting point is 00:22:19 I got a lot more time in this game, so. I mean, like you said, people are telling me, there's no way I want to fight for the 45th title. So you should go up a week class. And then after that, people are like, you know what? You shouldn't go up there because you're going to get hurt. So you should just retire. And I'm like, bro, I'm like, at that time, I'm like 30, 29's to you.
Starting point is 00:22:36 I'm like, what are you guys telling me? So at that day, it was not. never going to waver you know I know I know that I wanted to be great and you know to be the best you got to beat the best the best is blessed you had already great though at the time you had won the belt and all that it was I just always think about that man when I thought this guy's back fighting for a championship it almost was like it was going to happen regardless so we go to Kansas City I think it was Kansas City right you beat you beat Alan who was the man at the time yeah then you fight Justin Gaichi yeah
Starting point is 00:23:09 Right. And now they tell you, you and Ilya to pour you, right? Ilya beats Alexander Volcanovsky. It's you versus Ilya. And immediately it kind of turned into like chirping, right? It's like, you don't want to fight. Ilya went on TV and said that you said you don't want to fight it while you couldn't. You know, Ilya went on TV and said that you couldn't take the fight at the sphere. I know crazy.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Who's going on with that, man? Like seriously, I was like, what is happening? I was tripping on. That sphere? To fight at the 9th Island? brother? Come on, bro. I'm not going to take it. It was funny because you go, he's a liar.
Starting point is 00:23:45 This guy's lying, bro. People believe him. I'm like, bro, this guy's a liar. You know what is funny? He's saying that I didn't want to take the fight. I don't want to fight, blah, blah, blah. But then you have the president. You know, Dana White say, like, I don't think we ought to force anybody
Starting point is 00:24:01 on Max, you know, the fight's it's just, it's crazy. I don't know where he gets his info on. I don't know if he's just kind of talking to himself in the mirror what's going on but it's uh it's insane before that that that point to the ground thing with uh justin gachi after the fight you and i were talking he said for the first time like he hits and you're like wow this dude hits hard yeah bro that was one punch that went like super close to your chin oh yeah right it was like super close to your chin there's a lot of danger in doing that why do you do that
Starting point is 00:24:31 i mean you know justin geese you're great friends you'll go from with him and he's a stand-up guy bro. Yeah. He didn't have to take the fight at 300. He didn't have to fight me. He had a title shot. He had a guaranteed title shot to whenever he was next, right? But, you know, he took that challenge. He took me and it was his belt, you know, it was for his belt. So I was like, bro, this guy's a stand-up guy. If the rose was reversed, he'd give me a shot, so why not give it to him? And you just start throwing punches. It's doing. It was like the craziest knockout of all time. What did you do lately, you know, because you knocked out the Korean zombie bad? You knocked out Justin bad before
Starting point is 00:25:09 he was just pitter-patter when they offered me to fight with you I was like I'm beating this dude you don't punch hard I knew I was gonna beat you because you didn't punch hard but now I'm like shit he hit hard like what did you do brother I think I just became a man
Starting point is 00:25:21 a lot of you guys saw me when I was like 20 years old coming up and you know figuring out and now sitting down and all my punches a little bit more being 32 brother be 33 I think since when you get your man man strength they said so it should be fun so you and I'll get the fight date, what do you make of him as a fighter when you first start to break him down, right?
Starting point is 00:25:41 Because you always watch it. What do you make of him as a fighter? First and foremost, because it doesn't matter how you feel about him personally and all this other stuff, right? At the end of the day, it's about the fight. What do you think of Iliad's a poor of you to fight? He's good, bro. He's good. The thing that people forget that they bring him in the U.S.C. as a grappler and a wrestler. And he is very good with finishes and submissions and whatever, you know. And now he's the UFC he's knocking out guys so it he's good bro he's good everywhere his boxing is clean his jiu jitzu his wrestling is very good i think he's the backball in jiu jitsu somewhat so i think as a fighter he's a he's a beast yeah when you guys go back and forth the world goes well max holloway's
Starting point is 00:26:27 act in different shit the other day on chel nai show we discussed whether or not ilietteporia is making you approach this fight different than you have in most cases because it seems like you're more emotional. Are you more emotional? Because when we spoke a couple weeks ago, you seem fine to me. Like just off like in terms of like, that's what I told Chell. He was no different whenever we spoke on the phone.
Starting point is 00:26:50 I mean, it's what it is. It's the way that social media is going to twist and turn or... And then when they see someone talking, they're going to take it the way they think and how they feel. And then they, I don't feel it, you know? Like, I mean, the dude is just being rude. rude so I mean if someone's talking when you're talking you want to tell him like be quiet or whatever you know so yeah and the in the face off thing the dude is just like not letting me talk a lot of the
Starting point is 00:27:14 times and I was just blown away and then he touched himself on on like to be brother he like did something with his uh with his balls and he grabbed it and like from when they lucky they zoom in on it right so it's only our faces but from when I'm watching the interview there's his whole body and he does that and I was like tripped out I like but what are you doing why is he mad at I have no idea bro he's like he attack he attacks me not fighting he attacks my looks talks about my nose I'm like boy it's not a beauty contest what it what is going on well he got that turtleneck underneath that jacket though he can dress he dressed he dressed nice I wonder if you gonna wear a sweatsuit like that today you could have
Starting point is 00:27:54 dressed up for me well why I want you to look like I gotta look I got I want you to look look like you looking at one outfit that you was training in practice with which one It was green with some pink up. What am I that? I want a jumpsuit like that. You want a jumpsuit? I want that one. That one you was training in it's kind of like, it's like gray,
Starting point is 00:28:14 and it got lines all over it, and it's pink. Man, I want some of that bad. You give me some of that. I'm going to start training again. Okay, bad. That's your stuff? Yeah. Your own brand?
Starting point is 00:28:25 No, we said it's Santa Ball. Sineball got you. Hook me up, Doug. Yeah, we got you. You promised? Yeah, I got you. You promise? I'm going to look like you in there?
Starting point is 00:28:32 I box better with him? Probably. Probably. Because you look good on them. So when you watch him, he hit in the bag, there's a very unique style, right? Yeah. Everything is power. Everything is power.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Yours, you're touching, then you're like, bam. Then you touch, and then you hit something that's hard. When you watch a guy work the bag like that, it seems as though his intention is just to knock you out. Right? It don't look like he's just setting up his shots. When I watch you, you might throw 15 shots, kind of touching him, and then you sit on one. Yeah, sir. Touch him, and then you, boom, hit him with the left hook.
Starting point is 00:29:02 When you watch him hit the bag, like what do you like this dude is literally gonna just try to knock me out Does that make you excited or you it makes him more even more dangerous? I mean We get to see right it's a bag but dude still like I like Mike Tyson hit the bag you're like he trying to knock this dude out Yeah for sure you know but Mike Tyson the difference between him and I not really the difference is like you still got to land the punch Yeah on a human being so at the end day it's great you know there's different bag drills that people don't understand you You know, like a lot of people keep talking about bag drills, they ask my bag drills, his bag drills. I'm like, bro, we do different bag drills.
Starting point is 00:29:39 This is what it is. But it's very unique in the style, right? You could tell in the style of the way you fight. 100%. 100%. What did you make of him in Volk's fight in Anaheim? I mean, I mean, I think so we all can agree. I thought Volk was doing great until he didn't.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Like he was doing good. He's touching him up. You know, he's a little bloody. He landed some. And then he, that, little one that little 20, 30 seconds of moving back, he capitalized, you know, and he landed his shots. Ilya Tepore you said that cardio will not become an issue, that he can go 25 minutes just
Starting point is 00:30:16 like you, because that's one of your greatest, you know, assets, is that you can push a pace that most can't stay with you. And then when you watch him in there with guys, they seem to fatigue, but they take a lot of damage going into that 25th minute. How do you anticipate him being able to deal with your pace? When you're not a guy that stands in front of someone and takes damage. I mean, exactly what you said, right? I mean, we're going to see his cardio.
Starting point is 00:30:41 We're going to find out, bro. I'm just, we're days away. Yeah. And like you said, when he's fighting these guys, he's hurting him. He's hurting him. And he's like, he's the one getting hurt. He's the one doing the hurting. And then he's kind of looking like he got hurt also with some of them, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:57 with the cardio wise. So I just can't wait, man. Why have you been so bullish in fighting 145? You could have fought a title fight at 155. I mean, it's always better to have two belts, right? Oh, you want to go up again, huh? Oh, man, you got the big dream. Dog, you're so crazy.
Starting point is 00:31:16 You are the crazy. Good job, man. Congratulations on everything. Guys, Max Holloway tries to get his belt back this weekend against Ilya to pour you. You got that, uh, who is this? Lewandowski? No, this is mine, bro. Holloway?
Starting point is 00:31:29 Yeah, they sent me one. Barcelona sent me one, bro. That's disrespectful, man. That's awesome. He's from there. But he liked the other's team. Who, Real Madrid? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:39 You like Real Madrid? No, he likes him. Who you like? I like Barcelona. You a soccer guy? Yeah. Football guy, bro. Football.
Starting point is 00:31:47 We got to play each other after the fight. After the fight, me and you on the pitch, 11 on 11. I got my team. You bring your team. I'm running. I'm going to dip my shoulder. Go right past you. Top of the net.
Starting point is 00:31:58 This is easy. Fetual football. Not not the EU football. Not E.A. Sports. European football. Can you roll? You and I. You and I. Quick dip. Fucking ball roll.
Starting point is 00:32:12 Top shelf. Left corner. Bro, you look like the soccer ball. You're fucking rude. Guys, Max Holloway takes on Iliott's support this weekend for the Featherweight Championship. Make sure to tap and everything he's doing. YouTube, his streaming channel.
