Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.

Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is, getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is, getting a new one put up in its
place.
I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down, I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a
majority black city in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.

Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
Is everyone lying to me about who they are?
I felt such desperation.
I felt it was what I had to do.

I heart radio.
The volume.
Thank you for joining me, Marab.
I appreciate you.
Guys, I'm here with the champ.
Marab, the machine, the Wallace Willie.
Yo, man, this is crazy.
Like, four times in one year.
Like, come on, Mara.
This has to be crazy.
At least to you, right?
A little bit crazy.
No, actually, no.
This is very normal for me.
I love fighting.
This is no problem.
I would love to fight every week, you know?
But, you know, what I hate, I hate weight cut.
Yeah, of course.
But then you do the weight cut four times in a year, and that kind of sucks.
I cut weights three times last year.
I fought hairy, and then three weeks after, I was back-up fighter.
And then I fought tighter, you know.
And last year also I cut three times.
It's all good.
Yeah.
Hey, did you really spar five rounds on the day of the fight last time?
Yes, I did, and I tell you why.
Because usually we all fighters, Saturday morning, we all do shakeout.
Shake out, yep, warm up.
But for me, the best training is sparring, real spawning.
And then the fight was here in Vegas, and I trained at Syndica.
We have a full actigan.
usually we do this in hotel like you know stupid man yeah bad it's like not good like not good
or like right by a treadmill one treadmill you spar maybe hit the treadmill yeah you get good cage
never good so here Vegas and I go my gym syndicate and we have beautiful acting two good training
partners and uh I beat both of them I mean I spy sparring five rounds you put headgear no
John, yo, that's irresponsible.
That's irresponsible by the youth coach.
He's never done it.
It's not broke.
Don't fix it.
I can't make this guy do anything.
If I try to put headgear on him, oh my God, he didn't.
You don't wear headgear and sparring?
I used to before, like when I used to get cut and I was wearing and after the throw away.
And now, he likes to get cut.
It makes him feel ready.
Why don't you like the head gear?
It's not same.
It's not same, you know.
I don't know.
Why?
I mean, I'm getting older and I'm more smart-fied.
I don't damage my spotty partner.
I don't get damage, you know.
It's good.
It makes you more sharp.
You know, when you have a headgear, I don't know.
Sometimes you get hit when you shouldn't,
because you have the headgear and it doesn't hurt as bad.
You don't see much.
You don't wrestling same, you know, you don't need not.
You don't, it's extra something.
It's not.
I was asked a question the other day.
you've already defended the belt three times this year, right?
You win this weekend.
It's unquestioned you're the fighter of the year.
But someone made a statement that regardless of the outcome on Saturday,
Marab should be the fighter of the year because you've already defended the belt three times.
Do you agree with that?
That's up to you guys.
Like you, you know, you have great champion as yourself and you have great experience.
You guys decide this if I am or not.
I am just focusing for fight, and my job is to training hard and fight hard and do my best, you know.
And it's up to media, up to you guys, to decide if I am or not.
And I don't have no problem if I will be or not.
You know, I will just take it.
When you are done with a fight, because I famously once went to your house on the day after a fight you were running,
I get doing like cardio and strength.
How quickly are you back in the gym
Sparring and grappling
After a fight? Like how much time are you taking off between these fights?
Because there is something to
Letting your body reset
Before you start getting ready for another fight
Yeah, I agree. Like after the fight, of course
You don't have motivation to be gym
And drill the same technique and do jiu-jitsu
And you don't have motivation
Because you don't have fight usually
You don't know when you're going to fight next
But like what is this is so me being very disciplined like last three months training for the upcoming fights, eat right, you know, doing my best, you know, I balanced.
I saw you smelling food the other day. Were you smelling the food?
Yeah.
You know what you are doing?
I was like what?
And so but like me usually very strict, you know, like eating best, training hard, everything.
day couple of sessions like two times a day and and then after the fight you
don't have a fight you sit in a couch you eat snacking all day every second and
you know I need to work out you know yeah because of I was such a good shave I
cannot be like just sit and eat in a get lazy you know so I need to even I'm not
going gym and training in like jujuts technique
or like striking techniques, but I need to at least run or lift or something to act,
like to go or swimming or something, you know, something to do.
You know, one of the things that makes you special and make people draw to you is that you are
a little crazy, right?
So you're sniffing the food, right?
Like you said, you eat the best that you can.
But it feels like if you're eating the best that you can, that cheat meal, it kind of
helps your mind, right?
Even if it's not much.
When you fall off the border a little bit, it helps the mind.
Do you find that having that little bit of, not a straight line, right?
You'll go left and right.
You think that that helps you, especially not only in life but in your fighting style?
Absolutely, this is.
Yes, that helps me because that's why I'm a happy fight.
This way, I'm not like, I'm not too much strict.
This way I'm more happy.
And that's why I'm willing to fight many more years.
Because if I'm like streak, every day, like each streak or training,
streak or like go straight, I will be tired too.
I'm an regular person. But because of my balance
in a life or in training and everything, that's why I'm more happy.
And that's why I want it a long term.
Not like a quick. I'm not like, oh, I'm not like,
oh, like next fight and I'm done. I'm like I want a long term, but this
way I balance, you know?
You, uh, the balance is important.
But you also said that, um, you also said that, um,
you also said that.
that when you're training, you are as focused as anyone, right?
You balance with the other things.
But inside the gym, there's no one like Marab, right?
You're working harder than anybody.
How much confidence does that give you going into the octagon?
Because people go, well, Marab's not tired.
I'm like, Marab's probably tired a little bit.
But Marab also knows that he works harder than you.
And if he's tired, he knows that you're tired.
How much confidence does that give you knowing that you're outworking?
I mean, I'm hearing this from everybody, from John.
John Wood, Al Jermaine, who's a beast, they're telling me nobody works like him.
Guys that I respect, tell me that there's not a person in the world that can outwork you in the gym.
No, there is guys that can beat me some technical, some positions, especially when we go in positions, works.
There, of course, guys beat me, even Aljo, but, but yes, you're right, like, but exactly, because of I work hard in the gym, I know I put work, I was not lazy, I don't,
skip the training
and I was doing my best
that's why I'm so comfortable in the fight
because sometimes like a week before
fight I don't feel best
I'm doing like
a very good
like some some sparring sessions
but but I know the fight
day I will show up and I will do
because I was training hard
and yeah
I was not
you know I was doing
best in training
but now you're finishing
guys. Now you're finished. You're not only winning fights. You're finishing guys and you're
dominating them. That brings us back to Peoria. You've now gotten yourself back to a point where you're
fighting a guy that you fought before. Virgin Hotel, I called the fight. You took 50 shots,
50 times you shot on Peoria on Peoria over 25 minutes. What can you take from that fight and apply it
to this one? Now, let me play devil's advocate here. You got 11 of those 50. So technically,
He was very successful with his takedown defense.
And when you got him down, you weren't able to keep him down.
He was able to get back to his feet.
How do you change that as you approach this fight?
Yeah, you're right.
Yeah, so I think this time I am much better to control guys down.
And also, I think I'm much better fight there.
I'm sure he's much better prepared for.
And yeah, my goal is to, you know, stop him and finish him.
Either it's striking or, you know, even underground, maybe T-KO him.
That's my goal, you know.
So I believe I'm much better now, and that will be my goal.
But we'll say it's a fight.
I respect Pitarian as a fighter, you know, he's killer.
And, you know, fight can go, you know, who knows?
You know, who knows?
He can knock me out, too.
But is that the only way to win?
Does he have to knock you out to win?
I believe so he has to, otherwise, no, I'm coming.
I'm going to attack his head or his legs or, I'm going to bite him.
Marab, you just started liking Peoriaan too.
Remember you told me the other day you just started like, okay, now I don't dislike Peoriaeon and now you guys have to fight?
I know it's hard, you know, it's hard because, yeah, he's been like, I don't know, he beat Davidson Piggyz.
and he did speech.
Marab, you said, if Davidson Piggerado wins this fight,
he was supposed to be in number of contend.
Now I beat Davidson Pigerado.
What is saying now?
And he was respectful, you know, like, and like,
I'm like, okay, Peter.
And then every fight he was fighting, I was charing for him.
You know, let's go, Peter, win.
You know, when you fight somebody and either you lost against him or win,
then he wins, that makes you look
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shere him, let's go.
You know, win.
Only guy I don't chair for it, I was Hummer, you know.
When he was fighting, Baltist, I was cheering for Baltista.
You still, you still, like, no, you still don't cheer for you, Umar?
A little spoil.
It's just, okay, did you tell me,
would you let your friend or anybody tweet for you, like, say,
from your Twitter,
you know, or threats,
make somebody
let's say if I say
if somebody
disrespect somebody from your Twitter
talks like... You have to say something.
No, no. Would you let somebody
tweet from your social media?
Nobody. Yeah, see?
He did. He did. He did.
He let somebody use his
Twitter.
To send you? Message?
Yeah, to disrespe.
me call me fake champion he said well I don't think I don't think you're a fake champion
Marab thank you so this is like the yeah you're not a fake champion I mean you've
beaten everybody yeah you won what 13 in a row 14 14 in a row yeah yeah it's like
Islam right Islam just like tied a record and now you're like right behind him yeah he's
16 I'm 14 and yeah I have a one short notice fight and it was one catch rate so one
we have a catch rate so one we have a catch rate
fight, but 13 wrens in Pantomweight, but one catch rate.
That's crazy.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, huge news?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas, we invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
for people could call in and say, hey Jonas,
and then I wrote down in my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy,
not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest,
SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defining the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows.
Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash will get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers
why he got the ball, like,
after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah,
you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court,
and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is,
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be
be a whole lot easier than it is. Getting a new one put up in its place. As long as there's
a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering the civil war.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Ely Boulevard. Get to the grocery store, I had to go
down Jefferson Davis Parkway. If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history
is, you're not doing your job. I'm Akila Hughes. In Rebel Spirit, Season 2 goes deep on both
of those things, the fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something
to the Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies.
We contain essence.
We contain spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.
Listen to Rebel Spirit Season 2 on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Keith Gianmanca seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad,
but secretly he became someone else,
a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy.
But I felt so desperate that I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong
and what that might look like?
No, I didn't want to manifest that.
I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever
because everything that had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.
Listen to Deep Cover the Family Man
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Rob, what a Saturday night look like between you and Peoria?
I mean, because honestly, the last time he just was constantly under attack where he never could get his offense going.
Do you feel watching him that he's made the type of adjustments that he needs to stop you from attacking him in the way that you do?
Henry Sehudo just told me the way to fight you is to fight in the center of the octagon.
He said he felt like the first round he did okay because he was able to go side to side but stay in the middle and not go backwards.
Do you, I mean, do you agree with that?
I agree, I agree.
Actually, after the first round, I know how I was supposed to fight against Henry Sehudo.
And then pressure, like, I was using my front kick to push him back.
Backwards, yeah.
And then, yeah, just throwing crazy punches and shoot him.
So I make the adjustment in the fight.
Because I remember we was preparing, like, with Coach Wood, this fight,
and we was working some other techniques, but these other techniques, I wasn't working.
and then we just make adjustments
after the first round
how to fight him and it was working
and yeah so Henry said
so now let's go back to Peter Ian
who knows
it's the same opponent
but the fight could be totally different
Does he look different? Does he look better than he did
before you fought him the first time or does he look
like the same guy?
It looked the same guy
but
I also remember myself
I was like different guy too
and depend on my set.
And also, who knows, he may be prepared for me different, you know?
Who knows?
He may be, like, I don't know, he maybe do something else.
Like, maybe he would move too much, something else.
Your last rematch was against Sean O'Malley.
You went from fighting him in a fight.
That was not competitive, but it was a decision to finish him.
Do you think that just a second time,
the octagon with you will lead to worse results for the guy because you know what they feel like
now like when you think about pejorian and knowing that you spent 25 i remember that fight you were
smiling so much going to the octagon i couldn't believe how happy you were when it was like
the hardest fight of your life at the time you seem so confident going into that do you feel like
you can finish peorriand this Saturday that's the goal yeah i want to finish you but who knows
you know who knows I want to finish
yeah
four times
hey Chale Sondon said
right
that four title fights in a year
is almost disrespectful
to the sport
because not people aren't supposed to do that
people aren't supposed to fight that frequently
people aren't supposed to cut the weight
that many times not supposed to step on the line
that many times in one year
and there is a segment of fans
or people around the world that go
well it is kind of crazy because it's something we've never seen before
like what do you say to that
To people that go, well, he's fighting too much,
which doesn't make sense.
Hey, but like I said, I love fighting.
If there is no weight cuts, I would like to fight more often.
So, yeah, I guess it's possible.
Depends how you want it.
Depends how you love it.
And I really love, I really enjoy.
Like I tell you, I balance, you know.
I don't live, like, a strict lifestyle, you know.
and I enjoy, I still enjoy with my friends, I enjoy food, and I enjoy life, you know, I'm not, yeah, I, you know, other than, other than looking for wife, I don't have any serious.
I was going to ask you that, like any luck with that? Because the last time we talked, he said that you were done with the apps and you were going to find a good wife. Any luck?
There is so many great women, but no, there is not only one my wife yet.
the problem if you're looking for a wife you can't have so many that's what you get to have so many
women but I haven't identified which one is going to be my wife yet no no Rob you can't
I said I mean there is there is of course there is so many women you want a beautiful woman
no do you want a beautiful woman you want a beautiful does she have to be beautiful no my wife has to be my wife
No, I, no, just, you know, wife, no, I don't look to put that way, you know, like,
just has to be wife material.
Yeah.
It's the priority is just, just wiping material.
You haven't found one yet, though.
Not yet, but.
Come on, ladies, what?
Georgian woman, we need a good Georgian woman for my friend Marab.
Like, come on, look at him.
Bachelor number one, the UFC Bannonweight champion,
Marab Duolos Swilly, is looking for a great Georgian woman.
and you can also watch him, hey, all you beautiful women,
watch him Saturday at UFC 323 as he defends his Bannway Championship
for the fourth time in the year.
Guys, this is crazy.
Nobody does that.
Champions fight twice.
Marab is doing it for the fourth time right now.
One of the best champions the UFC has ever seen,
one of the most active champions, and all-around great guys.
So Marab, thank you again for checking in with me, man.
Go get that weight off.
Until next time, guys.
Peace.
Hey, guys, it's us and the Jonas brothers.
