Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey, guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
Starting point is 00:00:12 We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Tired and sick.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you. you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Hello, everybody. Welcome into Fantasy Pros. I'm Ryan Warmly joined as I am every Monday by Tara Roberts. We are heading into Week 12 and these are going to be five moves to make before week 12, just three weeks left really for most people in the Fantasy Regular season. It is due or die time. Quick reminder for everybody. All of our weekly consensus rankings and tiers can be found at Fantasyprose.com slash rankings. Those early rest of season rankings are already being updated here after week 11 so you can kind of go in pick the experts you want see who has actually
Starting point is 00:01:03 updated their rankings today and start getting a look ahead and where these guys are falling in rest of season we're we're going back to basics here tara last week it was a very buy heavy episode this week we're going to kind of the standard format we've settled into a couple of buys couple of cells and ending as we always do with a drop candidate uh so let's start us off here terra who's your first buy we're going to buy stephan digs here stephan digs with a little underrated season here. I think it's gone underrated because he got off to a slow start. And I think we had a lot of confusion around what he could be in this offense in general here, especially because those first three matchups that he had in the season were against teams like Vegas, Miami, Pittsburgh, who have
Starting point is 00:01:42 proven to be past friendly matchups. And he didn't really excel in those matchups just between five and 11 fantasy points in those. But we do have to remember, he was coming off a significant injury. It's pretty clear that they were ramping up over that time period. And now we've got Drake May shifting his focus from heavily targeting the tight ends like Hunter Henry and really focusing in on the receiving core. And Stefan Diggs has been a huge beneficiary of that. He's finally getting the touchdowns coming through here with Kishon Booty out. And in games where he hasn't had the touchdowns, he's had higher yardage here. On the season, he is averaging 13 fantasy points per game and half PPR. But again, if you narrow it down to excluding those first games where he was clearly
Starting point is 00:02:20 being eased back in there, he is averaging since that point, 14.8 fantasy points in PPR there, wide receiver 15 over that time period here. And really when we're looking ahead to the future here, at some point we will get Cajon Booty back and that might affect him. But really, the schedule being so advantageous here is why we want to buy in on him. They've got one of the easiest strength of schedules remaining. They face Cincinnati, the Giants, and they have a buy week, of course. So, you know, factor that into your trades. Then after that, they've got Buffalo, Baltimore, the championship matchup against the Jets. We just saw that over 100 yards here. So really all good things looking up for Stefan Diggs.
Starting point is 00:02:59 And you probably want to get in there before we get this game right here against Cincinnati here. So this is a good time to buy it on him. Yeah, I'm curious to see where he's going to be ranked in the weekly rankings for week 12 just going, getting this Bengals defense is so enticing. In the last four games, he has had either a touchdown or 100 receiving yards in every one of those games. Like you mentioned, even going back further is when this kind of, you know, getting settled into the offense, hot streak, you know, was going.
Starting point is 00:03:21 I talked a lot with Erickson earlier in the season about Stefan Diggs as a by candidate because he wasn't scoring any touchdowns. And you mentioned the Kashan Booty effect and maybe when he comes back, that gets dialed back a bit. But three straight games with a touchdown prior to this last week, it's definitely encouraging in that direction. He's clearly a capable receiver in that area of the field. You know, the bi-week, like the lady you get in the season, the heavier, the more by-week that hasn't happened yet looms because there's just less of the season for that to get kind of, you
Starting point is 00:03:50 know, panned out and evened out in the long run. So maybe he's a little more appealing if you are. somebody who's already set to be in the playoffs and that week 14 game, which is like for a lot of people are going to be like, are you going to make the playoffs or not based on this match? You know, you want to have your players for that week. So maybe if you're more settled and confident in your playoffs by it becomes more appealing, but still given the schedule that you laid out, like I think definitely a good buy. And at the very worst case scenario, feels like a really high floor, you know, receiver.
Starting point is 00:04:20 He's currently in these early rest of season rankings after yesterday, wide receiver 19. Ironically, he's splitting the two Eagles guys. AJ Brown is 18 and Devante Smith is 20th. T. Higgins, Zay Flowers, some of the other names around him. Does that feel like the right range to you? Yeah, I think it's a really appropriate range. I think he's settled in there between guys who maybe are a little bit more volatile. You look at the Eagles receivers, you know, higher ceilings, arguably lower floors, definitely there than his Zayflower.
Starting point is 00:04:44 It's a very safe option, but not the ceiling that Stefan Diggs has. So I think he's a nice middle ground there, very appropriately ranked. Let's get to your second buy here, Tara. We're going to buy in on Breece Hall coming off the disappointing game here and try and get in here. We've got the change at quarterback. So get in before the quarterback change potentially ramps up his opportunities as well there. He's also having a really underrated season. It's going underrated because, I mean, the Jets have been absolutely awful.
Starting point is 00:05:11 It's impressive the fact that he has been able to produce anything on the ground at all. Considering that, you know, having a functional passing offense is kind of one of the qualifications for being able to succeed on the ground for running. bat. So the fact that he is even able to get what he's been able to do is highly impressive there. And then looking ahead here, this matchup that he's had, he's had a lot of difficult matchups, right, that have been a little bit difficult for him to produce it. But as long as a matchup has been okay, he's been perfectly fine. He is, um, Arby, was heading into this week, was RB 16 in average fantasy points per game and half PPR. Half of his games have been top 20 performances there. Occasionally, you know, with Justin Fields, the floor can get a little low there.
Starting point is 00:05:52 But we do have the changing quarterback with Tyra Taylor here. Perhaps we get an uptick and receptions there for him, some uptick and pass volume at the very least here. But really, why I am very interested here, he's the only viable weapon in the offense. We don't have Garrett Wilson here. The wide receivers are stepping up as much as they can, but it's a group of practice squad guys, unfortunately, here. And the Jets' rest of season schedule is just fantastic across all positions here. So Hull really does have upside moving forward here and perhaps even. more upside if Tyrod Taylor can breathe just like the tiniest bit of life into this offense.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I think you made a really good point on the past catching too. Like, A, we know that running quarterbacks tend to take off rather than dumping it down to the running back. So with fields just not being in there in general, you know, that should be a benefit there. But also like even just this week, you know, I look at the Ravens, they've been playing a lot better defense. They haven't allowed 20 points in a game in over a month here. But one thing that this defense has struggled with for literally as long as I can remember
Starting point is 00:06:50 for years now is running backs catching the ball out of the backfield. And with Tarad Taylor coming in, and I expect the Jets to be trailing for much of this game in Baltimore, it would not surprise me if we see more action and, you know, ball of turners. I know he had a 42-yard touchdown catch two weeks ago. So like, oh, yeah, of course he had usage in the passing game. But the last five games for him, zero targets, three, three, one, and two. So it really hasn't been the usage that we saw, you know, in the first five weeks of the season, and three was his lowest target total in any game.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Now it's his highest since week six. But I wonder if we get more of that starting as early as this week. It's funny looking at his rest of season ranking, in his early consensus rankings. I'm like he's RB 18. RB 19 is RJ Harvey. I would so much rather have Bree Saul than RJ Harvey rest of season. Maybe that'll prove to be wrong,
Starting point is 00:07:39 but I see a gap between them. But then I look ahead of Briseall and it's Quinn Sean Judkins. I'm like, well, I'd much rather have Quinnshon Judkins. I feel like than Hall, maybe not much. But I do think clearly I would rather have Judkins. it's not a difficult decision for me. So I don't know, maybe that means that Hall really is in the right spot here because the guys ahead, I mean, like Trayvon Henderson's a couple spots ahead of him.
Starting point is 00:07:57 I'd rather have Henderson. But again, behind him, R.J. Harvey, Bucky Irving, who knows what's going on injury-wise, like I, 18-10, I guess this feels like the right spot. Yeah, I think it's a nice little cutoff point where he is the last of guys that you know is like a lead back for sure. Even when you look at R.J. Harvey, like, I know he's a lead back in my heart, but apparently Sean Payton doesn't know that in his heart. So yeah, I think that's the, if you're looking for an RB2 that you can trust to get all of the carries there and you know that he has upside and talent, that's your little cutoff right there of a guy that you can buy low and get somebody who can function in that area.

Starting point is 00:09:08 Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, huge news? We created our. own podcast called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it.
Starting point is 00:09:18 We just contributed to a... We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts. We're starting a trend. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band. Before Jonas Brothers was... This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
Starting point is 00:09:55 and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite, unhumor me with Robert Smigel and Friends. me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
Starting point is 00:10:19 This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jordanano.
Starting point is 00:10:39 You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet. Help! Somebody! Please! But there's so much more to me than that. I'm an actor. I'm a comedian, and recently, I've become quite the helper myself. And on my new podcast, Hope I'm a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in need with my sage advice and thoughtful solutions. Sike! I'm a comedian! I'm not qualified to give good advice. Join me and my comedian friends as we riff rant and recommend some of the most legally dubious advice. to man. If I'm calling you, even if you're on your phone, let it ring twice. One ring is too scary.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Oh, cream of chicken suit. Hey, cream. Cream a chicken suit. This is Help from a Hypocrite, the worst advice from the dumbest people you know. Listen to Help from Hypocrite as part of the Mike Cultura podcast network available on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Let's get to the cells, Tara. You actually have a two-for here to start us off. I do. And it doesn't make me happy because I do like them a lot. And this is not their fault whatsoever. I think that we saw the unfortunate new reality of the Chargers offense here. Joe Alt was the last straw for that offensive line.
Starting point is 00:11:58 They were hanging on by a threat and they've made it work to their credit. And they tried to hang on when he was dealing with the injury earlier here. But for two weeks in a row, we have seen the Chargers in what should have been excellent matchups in from a past perspective. And unfortunately, Justin Herbert wasn't able to take advantage of them because the Chargers' offensive line could not handle the defensive pressure. Hopefully, maybe they can, you know, don't panic because maybe, you know, they've got intelligent coaching. So maybe they can use the by-week to retool and figure out how to make this offensive line work,
Starting point is 00:12:27 but this is what it is. And if they can't, the Chargers have a really rough road ahead. After the by-week, they face a Vegas matchup, which on the surface does seem good. And they can be good occasionally. But the problem is, is that, again, much like Jacksonville and Pittsburgh, they can apply pressure to that offensive line. After that, you've got Philadelphia, Kansas City, Dallas, that by that time could be working in all their new players and not be the layup matchup that they were earlier in the season. Then you've got Houston. I mean, it's just one of the most difficult stretches that you can have to close a fantasy season.
Starting point is 00:13:00 I would tell you to bail out on the entire offense, but unfortunately, you can't. There's not a big market for Quentin Johnston. Obviously, Kamani Vidal is a top sell here. injury and then a Martin Hampton returning. Ladd McConkey has a brand name, right? You can sell him at any price there. And if you're looking to downgrade to someone who's a little bit lower ranked, you can still like, let's say, Anico Collins is somebody who kind of gets interchangeably put in that same range there, not the best offensive situation in the world, but somebody who does consistently get looks, targets, and volume there and perhaps a little bit less volatility there.
Starting point is 00:13:34 And then Justin Herbert can be appealing as a sell because if you've got another quarterback, you can roll with. All the injuries that we have going across the league with streaming options, people might be getting thin here, and they could be looking to stash somebody who is highly talented and has been reliable in the past here. It's funny you mentioned Nico, because I'm in a guillotine league, which is why this is even an option, but I had to pick between Ladd and Nico in putting in all my bids for this week. Because you get to that point of the year where, you know, to pick up a good player, you have to drop a good player. So it's interesting that you put it to of them together.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Yeah, if I made you pick one to sell, you had to keep one and sell the other, would you rather sell Ladd just because as a receiver you can probably get more? Would you rather sell Herbert just because you feel maybe a little worse about him? I mean, Herbert's ranked in the rest of season consensus rankings still pretty high. He's QB6 in the rest of season rankings. There's not a ton of names after him that you're super excited about, right? Like Jackson Darts, her, Matthew Stafford has been on a heater, but he doesn't run. you know, maybe a guy like Baker or Dax should be ahead of him, which I know you were kind of
Starting point is 00:14:42 talking about. Like, I would tend to agree with that. But I mean, what it really says to me is that the top five are so clear because like there's such a gap between them and everybody else. It feels like. But that's pretty high ranking for him. So if somebody's QB and Eady, maybe he's actually going to move. If you had to pick one, who would you rather move?
Starting point is 00:14:58 I would rather move Herbert. Yeah. Like you're saying, I mean, he's still so highly ranked. And we can excuse it, right? You can find a thousand excuses for Justin Herbert. We always do. We love him. And, you know, just as early as last week, we were still ranking him in the top five in rankings.
Starting point is 00:15:14 And I assume, you know, after we come back from the bye week, that'll probably be the same here. So he still has value. I would probably keep McConkey because at the very least, I know for sure that McConkey is at least the wide receiver one there. So in, you know, you can at least maybe say, okay, perhaps they are trailing, they're struggling, and maybe they have to eventually find a way to chuck the ball in order to stay competitive. so you can make that argument there. You've got another sell for us. I do.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Hear me out. It's Tyrone, Tracy, Jr. And I, the people don't like it when I say to sell him. I get it. We love him. But I did talk about selling him when Cam Scadabu went down with the injury. And the reason was that, and that's what we saw on the field prior to this week, is that, and well, technically, we saw it this week, too.
Starting point is 00:15:59 It's a committee. It's a committee. And I think people were putting a little bit too much stock into the 2024 where he just pushed Devin Singletary out of the way. and, you know, unfortunately sometimes what we see in a rookie season for a day three pick doesn't always translate to the years after here. If you're in a position, like you're in an excellent position, you're heading into the playoffs and this is not a guy that you want to start.
Starting point is 00:16:21 He's a stash for you. That's perfectly fine. I don't think you have to like panic sell jump out of it here. But if you're looking at starting him over the next couple of weeks, that's a no-go, unfortunately. When we look at this matchup that they just have with Green Bay, I'm a Packers fan. So I say this with love. They're a good defense, right? But I think sometimes we overrate in terms of this being like a shutdown run defense.
Starting point is 00:16:42 You can run on them. So them running well in this matchup does not surprise me. I moved both of them, both Trivorm Tracy and Devin Singletary up in my rankings this week because I didn't hate the matchup. And because with James Winston at quarterback, it stood to reason that the run game would be more effective when you remove a guy that is out there running for 50 plus yards and hoarding all the touchdowns at the goal line, that opens up the opportunities for the running backs here. So I'm not surprised they both had an awesome week here. Oddly enough, James did get a touchdown on the ground here,
Starting point is 00:17:13 but the yardage in opportunities and overall carries that Jackson Dart took with him really just opened things up for these running backs here. So when he does return, we're looking at some potential bad matchups here. Look at week 13 and 14 here. We've got Detroit. We've got New England. Those are not games where you want to be starting either one of any running back, let alone one that's in a committee here. So this is a good opportunity to take what is a good game, a good opportunity, and perhaps flip him to something that might be a little bit more agreeable rest of season. He is RB 29.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Hilariously, one spot ahead of him is Alvin Camara, who we've talked about dropping on this show before this year. But our RB29, is that too high, too low, just right? It's just right. I don't think he's inappropriately ranked. I think we're looking at, you know, sometimes he could get a little bit high in the rankings earlier. But I think we look at him correctly. It's just a good opportunity to get ahead of what could be going back towards those seven, eight fantasy point performances here in these upcoming matchups.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Let me ask you this. Would you rather have Tyrone Tracy or the guy right behind him in the rankings, Kamani Vidal, just given everything like the unknown Hampton question, the Chargers offensive line. but we've seen multiple high ceiling games out of Vidal. I mean, he's R.B.30, which surprised me at first. I get it. Would you rather have him or Tracy the rest of season? If he was healthy, I could. The problem is that we don't know if that injury was something serious or if that was
Starting point is 00:18:44 just they were getting beat down. So he was not needed to come back in the capacity there. I probably would still lean away from that one just because of a lot of the ambiguity in that one, maybe flip for another position just because running. back is that's a little sketchy range for everyone in there. Yeah, good to note the injury as well, too, there. And, you know, it's Monday morning, so we'll see what happens seeing what comes out about that. We've got a special offer for everyone. Unlock a month of betting pros premium for free. Download the betting pros app today. Use promo code FP1 month. That's the number one, not spelled out.

Available on iOS and Android. Tara, give me your drop. It's one more running back heartbreak drop here. We got to let go of Jacori-Crossky-Marry. Got to let him go. I admire the resiliency of people holding on to him. And, you know, I get it somewhat because at some point, you know, we're hoping that
Starting point is 00:19:45 Jane Daniels will be back. They said they'd reevaluate after the by-week here. So given the information that we have, we can think, you know, hey, he'll be back at some point, maybe for a playoff fantasy run here. And he comes back. The offense gets better. Jacarie-Crossi-Marrette. you know, more upside, you know, when they're winning.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Because we know, hey, if the Chargers are up, they're winnings, or the commanders are up, they're winning significantly. Those are the games where JCP had good games. But unfortunately here, the reality is that he has had six straight games scoring a maximum of five fantasy points. And he is not the starting running back. As much as we would like him to be, and it may not make sense to us. It is Chris Rodriguez, who they are leaning on there.
Starting point is 00:20:26 So ultimately, he's a handcuff in a committee. and that's generally never what we really want there. He should not be higher rostered than all of these high-end handcuffs we have on waivers. Go go out and grab yourself and Ollie Gordon. Go get a basal tutin. Or like just anybody that can also give you more standalone value as a handcuff than you get with JCM and also has ridiculous upside if their lead back does go down here. You know, it's a run-friendly schedule here.
Starting point is 00:20:55 They've got some good matchups coming up. but if he's not the starting running back and the offense isn't good, I don't know what we can look forward to there. I, like, could not be more on board with this. It's no interest in having him on my roster, no interest in starting him whatsoever. Like, we're at the time of year where, yeah, like, even if you were, even if you're not somebody who likes, you know,
Starting point is 00:21:18 picking up handcuffs as a general strategy, like, this is the time of year to do it, right? Yeah. Where if a player goes down, like this is, again, it's like, do or die. We're three weeks from fantasy playoffs. And there's just no scenario where I'm going to be comfortable starting Bill, like, any time. Like, I would need to see multiple weeks of really surprising performance at this point. And I just don't expect that to happen.
Starting point is 00:21:40 So, like, I'm a strong group. He's down at RB 42. He is cratered in the rest of season rankings. And, like, even that might be too high. Like, some of the, like, he's higher than Chris Rodriguez. He's higher than Sean Tucker, who just had this awesome game. He's higher than Kareem Hunt, who's, you know, got this opportunity with Pacheco out. Like, I just, I know interest in him.
Starting point is 00:21:58 So I'm not trying to like, you know, you know, bury him and like spit on his grave or anything. But I, he is an easy, easy drop in my opinion. If you're trying to make room for any other high upside option, do it. And get rid of Dr. Corey Crosky Merritt. So we'll go ahead and wrap things up there on that pleasant note. For Tara, I'm Ryan warmly. Thanks, everybody for tuning in. Best of luck here in week 12.
