Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an IHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
Starting point is 00:00:12 We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
Starting point is 00:00:30 you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Welcome and everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is the Fantasy Football podcast. It's me, Joey P. Joe Pisa Pia with me today. Jake Sealy from the Athletic,
Starting point is 00:00:42 and we're going to have a conversation. A little fun about free agency. Players that could land in certain places and would change absolutely everything. So we have a longer form of discussion here on the channel. If you want to check that out, subscribe to our YouTube channel, subscribe to our podcast feed.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Jake, Tom Strachan and I sat down, had a nice conversation about the free agency guys, where they might land, but we're having a little fun here today. So we're talking about the best possible spots, maybe some are pie in the sky, but they certainly would be fun for fantasy. So Jake Sealy, let's start with a big free agent that just set himself one hell of a game. In fact, he was Super Bowl MVP. It's Ken Walker.
Starting point is 00:01:17 So let's talk about Ken Walker and what landing spot for him would be an ideal, incredible boon for his fantasy value. Well, also, yeah, that was my thought process with these five is not just the boon potential, but also the bust potential for what the ripple effect would be. Like we're talking waves created when these kind of things happen with all these top five. So Kenneth Walker going to the bangles of all teams would have ripple effects. We would have Kenneth Walker considerations probably at the back end of the RB1. I don't think Chase Brown would completely go away.
Starting point is 00:01:47 But the reason I put this as a possibility, and again, this is a thought process of like what would just cause a devastation across the fantasy landscape is because Chase Brown, his value would go out the way. window. He would basically fall into the Charbonnet roll or worse because with the amount of money that the Bengals have, they can address a lot of things this year, hopefully on defense. But what if they go after a running back? And that's where I put this here is because whether it's Kenneth Walker or somebody else, if the Bengals actively go after a running back instead of paying Chase Brown and extension, that kind of tells you what they're thinking, which was already something we kind of saw last year was like, Somaget P. Ryan went healthy. 35% of the work, 35% of the work, 35% of the work, third downs, sometimes at the goal line opportunities. What if they're like, you know,
Starting point is 00:02:28 But we like Chase Brown, but we have a potential Kenneth Walker, even Breece Hall, who will talk about to a different team after this. If they go that route, you're not just have the effect of the running back going here, but we lose all that value for Chase Brown. And then also, obviously, Kenneth Walker going anywhere but back to the Seahawks opens up that window to a, what are we going to do with this backfield? Because there's no Charbonnet for a long time. Yeah, well, look, I think going back to the Seahawks certainly feels like, especially with the Charbonne injury, something that should make sense. Yeah. It's not like Kubiak's going to take him with him going to the Raiders. We already have a running back last time I checked there.
Starting point is 00:03:01 But certainly, Ken Walker. That was a fantasy value without Zach Charbonnet actually would be pretty good. But who knows, they might bring in somebody else to compete and take some carries off of him. Let's get to Breece Hall, another running back here who's very hot in the free agency window here. A lot of people are trying to put them on different teams. Again, we all understand that different teams have different cap situations, but this is fun here. So, Jake, what's the most fun mind-blowing landing spot? we can have for Breeze Hall.
Starting point is 00:03:28 This one, and if both these scenarios happen, I would rank Breece Hall ahead of Kenneth Walker, to be clear, because I think the one team that nobody is really talking about, there's actually two teams that nobody is really talking about. I don't have the other team. We'll talk. Go check out the other show. It's the Cardinals, if you haven't seen the other show. But the teams that people aren't talking about that could potentially shake things up
Starting point is 00:03:47 in their backfield, this one is the commanders. The commanders also have a ton, I mean, a ton of cap space. And they have issues to address. but if you're looking at the changes with the offense, if you look at the fact that they got rid of Kingsbury and maybe they're thinking a little bit differently. But the one thing that they already said, as of yesterday when we're recording this,
Starting point is 00:04:04 is they already came out. It's like there's one running back on our roster. Because there is. There's one running back on the roster right now. It's Jacori-Kroski-merit. Well, what is Jacori-Kroski-Mert? Kind of more of a carry type, not much in the passing game.
Starting point is 00:04:16 What does Breeze-Hall do? Great in the passing game, but he's also great overall. Breeze Hall going to the commanders, I mean, we'd be talking, like I said, I would rank him in front of, Kenneth Walker. I think he'd be a true bell cow just like he was with the Jets, but on a functional offense with a fun quarterback and a fun offense. And I mean,
Starting point is 00:04:33 tell me, we would probably be talking about Reese Hall as potential top 10. Probably. I mean, he would certainly be around the turn conversation, I think, in that offense with a healthy Jay and Daniels. And hopefully we'd get that in 2026. We didn't get it in 2025. Obviously, that was unfortunate. I would also, Kyle Pitts is another guy, I'd like to see on the commanders to tell you the truth. Like that, that to me would be a fun marriage there for, you know, tight end with his sort of versatility and ability, along with Jaden Daniels' ability to, you know, extend plays. I'd like to see that. But Brees Hall landing with the commanders, they'd be very good. Look, they, they traded Brian Robinson Jr. last year and basically the backfield,
Starting point is 00:05:10 which is the mess afterwards, you know, so go figure. You get rid of that steady, eddy guy. Next thing you know is a lot of chaos. Now, we are giving away something fun here. Fantasy season's over, but the giveaways never end. championship belt is being given away right now for one of our lucky listeners and watchers on the YouTube channel. So here's what you're going to do. You're going to subscribe to the channel, drop your comments below, and one of you's going to win the Trophy Smack Fantasy Football Championship Belt, courtesy of our friends,
Starting point is 00:05:36 a Trophy Smack, the number one destination for Epic Fantasy Football Hardware. This is your moment. It's massive. It's gold-plated, and it's built to make a bold statement. That's right. It's heavy, too. Let me tell you this thing weighs a ton. So if you want to take out somebody in your house and make a statement that way, too,
Starting point is 00:05:50 but this is the championship belt to do with. Let me tell you. This thing weighs 100 pounds. Not quite 100. I'm exaggerating. But it's heavy. If you want to enter again, subscribe to the YouTube channel,
Starting point is 00:05:58 drop your comments below. That's it. That's all you got to do. And don't forget to ring that belt and it goes ding. So you never miss a piece of content on the channel. We can let you know if you are the big winner of the trophy smack fantasy football championship belt.
Starting point is 00:06:09 All right. Next up, veteran Mike Evans. It's hard to imagine him anywhere else than being a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. But this is fun. So let's imagine him somewhere else, Jake. Yeah, I'm going to basically. repeat if you watch the other long form one, the exact same spot that I think Mike Evans would make a lot
Starting point is 00:06:24 of interest for us in fantasy and also, again, the ripple effect. Mike Evans going to, huh, somebody who has a free agent wide receiver, as is that kind of one number two. Their number one didn't play the entire season, by the way. It's a great offense. I don't know how many more hints I can get. Their number one as of right now is great in space and over the middle of the field. It is a great replacement for what Debo's family used to do for this team. And Mike Evans going to the 49ers. Could you imagine Mike Evans on the 49ers. And the reason I say this is because going back to the Buccaneers, again, feels like the Kenneth Walker. Like, this just makes sense. But the Buccaneers set themselves up to they don't need them right now. Like they have Ibuka, who's shown enough. McMillan's now back
Starting point is 00:07:03 and healthy as the number three with a healthy Chris Godwin. Yeah, it'd be nice to be like, hey, Mike Evans retires as a Buccaneer, it was a Buccaneer, and all that type of stuff. But at the same time, it's like they don't really need to bring it back. And honestly, it would be better for us in fantasy if they didn't because we would get that value for Buka and Godwin cleared out and get one of those options. Mike Evans going to the 49ers could replicate what he did with the Buccaneers as the one and open up things for Ricky Pearson because the biggest thing here is when or if is George Tittle playing in 2006? And I think that's the biggest thing here is that 49ers kind of need somebody in the receiving game if they don't bring back Jennings. And I think
Starting point is 00:07:38 they could even go higher than this and bring in like a Mike Evans type and kind of shock some people. And I think it would be fun for us in fantasy if it happened. I think a fun one would also be pairing him with Josh Allen because I don't know if necessary Buffalo wants to go drafting wide receivers again. I don't think that's proven well for them. But I think Buffalo for Mike Evans is the one where it's like, hey, getting towards the end here. One more run in the championship. What's the best place to do that?
Starting point is 00:08:01 Well, go play with Josh Allen for a year or two. Does you want to play the cold? That I don't know. When you spend your entire career in Tampa, Buffalo is a bit of a culture shock about saying you can't do it. So you saw why I did the tiebreaker. Just that legit thought the bills and I did the tiebreaker the weather. Look, man. Once you get in your 40s, you know, just the cold.
Starting point is 00:08:18 I'm telling you, man, it's been like two degrees here for like a week and a half in New Jersey. No, sir. No, sir. It's not for me. I know. I want to go to Tampa. You'd be like, it's in the 20s like t-shirts. We don't care.
Starting point is 00:08:29 And all of a sudden it's like, I'm wearing a t-shirt right now in a house because it's a hundred degrees inside because the heat never goes off. That's the problem. All right. So Mike Evans and the 49ers is Jake's landing spot. I like the Buffalo Bills. Let's see where Alec Pierce might go here. Let's talk about this one. Where do you have Alec Pierce, big deep threat guy?
Starting point is 00:08:44 Where could he make a huge fantasy impact? I think we just mentioned two. teams that are in play. I think you could even talk about the commanders. I've seen some people bring up. I've seen some people bring up the Ravens. Maybe they start passing more to their wide receivers with their change in offensive coordinator. But for me, I think the interesting one is what do we know about Brian Dable with his time with the Giants? He tried to make Darius Slate in a thing year after year after year, no matter if it was Daniel Jones or then Jackson Dart or even Winston and Russell Wilson has taken shots downfield to Darius Slayton. With the Calvin Ridley situation, is he even
Starting point is 00:09:18 back. What do they have after Calvin Ridley? They have two young Y. Y. Receivers in I. U. Manor and D.K., but who's the better as of right now? Who everybody would say is D.K., and I think everybody would agree. Like, he looked better than I.U. Manor as a rookie. Well, what does D.K.? D.K. does more of the Wondell Robinson type of thing. So if you're looking for D.A.L. making a splash. I know he's not in charge or everything, but he's going to have an input on it, is the fact that he comes in and says, you know what, I want my Darius Slate and type, and I like what I've seen from D. Maybe Calum Ridley even sticks around. But Alec Pierce with potentially unlocking the next level for Cam Ward.
Starting point is 00:09:51 The interesting thing there is that Callahan just left after not developing Cam Ward. And now he's in charge of trying to develop Jackson Dart. Good job, Giants, by the way. But anyway, as that side more is maybe Daible gets back to his ways with the bills and he gets that deep threat. And Alec Pierce goes in from having, you know, limited opportunities and targets wise and ends up being the target potential leader for the Titans. I like the Raiders for Alec Pierce, a field stretcher for Fernando, There's a tease to watch the long-form video, by the way, because if everybody out there. Look at you.
Starting point is 00:10:23 What a pro. You're so good. But again, you know, you watch the tape of Indiana. Fernando Mendoza likes to throw the ball downfield, you know, whether he has those comeback routes downfield or you have those PIs, you know, he takes his shots. And I think it'll be a nice compliment to what you have already with Brock Bowers and Ashen Gentie. You have a lot of good young players there.
Starting point is 00:10:42 And Pierce would I think fit in very well. And if I'm Alec Pierce, I'm just looking at the season that Jackson Smith and Jigba had. And I said, I want to go play for that Clint Kubiak guy and get a million targets in an offense. That's what I, I like Jack Besh as a prospect still, I think, but to me, he's not a deep threat kind of guy. He's more of an intermediate sort of guy. So I think he would fill an interesting role there for the Raiders. Last guy here is a quarterback, Daniel Jones. All right. So I know Indy thinks it's just a foregone conclusion, but Jake Sealy does not. Jake, let's drop the bomb on him. Where could Daniel Jones go? That would really change everything for
Starting point is 00:11:15 fantasy football. Somebody he's played before and not the Giants. Oh, by the way, Kevin O'Connell, who might be the reason he turned into a half-decent quarterback with Daniel Jones filling in there. Therefore, going back to the Vikings, and they're done with J.J. McCarthy. We talked about it on the other show, you, me, and Erickson. I think there's a lot of talk in general that McCarthy's already done. Like, they gave him two years, for all intents of purposes, two years. And it's not happening. And there's a lot of talk of where they bring in Kirk Cousins if he's cut. What if they bring back Daniel Jones? What if they go after Daniel Jones? And all of a sudden, not only is Daniel Jones back into the conversation of top 15 in fantasy, potentially a QB1, with Justin Jefferson,
Starting point is 00:11:55 Addison, a healthy T.J. Oginson, under Kevin O'Connell, the running upside. I mean, we would probably be talking about Daniel Jones. Honestly, quick sidebar, we'd probably be talking about Daniel Jones versus Jackson Dart in rankings if he was on the Vikings. So not only do you have that, but now what's the ripple effect. Maybe Anthony Richardson's back in play in fantasy because the cults are all like, uh-oh, what do we do now? Oops. Yeah, we better see what we have in Anthony Richardson for one year if he can stay healthy and maybe they bring in some vet to back him up. But yeah, that's why I thought this one would be very interesting because as you said, the assumed situation is that he's back with the cults. Just what if? Daniel Jones isn't the one who's like, I'm 100% back with
Starting point is 00:12:34 the cult. So what if he sees the Vikings opportunity. He's like, you know what? That's a better opportunity to go to, better weapons, and I'm going to go have some fun with my old Kevin O'Connell coach and all of a sudden, Indies left holding the bag with Anthony Richardson. I've given an alternate landing spot for all four of the guys so far from number five. I'm in agreement with Jake Sealy. We are holding hands here. I think it's fun. Look, he knows the offense, right? He was there. I mean, I want to work with Kevin O'Connell. I'd want to work with just a Jefferson and the rest of the cast that they have there. It's very tempting. I still think that division is still very much up for grabs. That defense is very good. Offensively, they were just.
Starting point is 00:13:08 an absolute disaster last year. So if you can get the offense back on track, you know, you've got a good head coach. Like, that division is quality. All the teams in that division are good. But I think the Vikings can compete with them if they have good quarterback play. And they just, frankly, didn't have it all year. So that is fun. Let's drop some comments below.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Let us know where your fun landing spots for some of these or other free agents might be. Drop your predictions in the comments. And it might win yourself a belt from trophy smack that, again, could be used as a weapon or a fashion piece, depending on, you know, how you roll. Jake Sealy from the Athletic, always great to talk to you. That'll do it for us. But the story of the game goes on for Jake, I'm Joey P. We'll see you next time, kids.
