This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
All right and welcome into the Fantasy Pros, Fantasy Football Podcast. It's the week one instant
reaction show coming to you live right here on Twitch.tv slash Fantasy Pros. I'm your host of Seth
Wilcock. Thrill to be back with you tonight. And I'm joined by a few good lads, including a man who is
an orthopedic sports surgeon and the founder of sports med analytics. He's trained at institutions like
Harvard, Stanford, U-Pen, and yes, Vandy, places that I think as soon as I walked on to
campus, I would instantly be escorted off.
He's Dr. Deepak Chona.
Doc, how are you?
Thanks for taking time from saving lives to join us today, man.
I appreciate that, Seth.
No, we're doing well.
Everybody in Houston is keeping spirits up very intentionally, so we're happy overall.
Awesome.
Well, glad to have you in here overall, man.
And thanks again for taking the time.
And also joining us as a man who I can only imagine,
Houten. He was hollering today as the Steelers got a big win in New York. He's Scott, big time Bogman.
Boggs, how you doing? I'm good, man. Seven lead changes, heart fluttering the entire game, BP,
way up, but we'll walk away with the win and we'll be happy about it. So not the biggest fan of
Aaron Rogers, but when he throws four touchdowns, he's my guy. So there we go. We're loving it.
Deepak, what can you give us for like a resting heart rate, like how to get Boggs's down a little bit?
because I know it's probably been up the last few days with the Texas game yesterday,
and the Steelers going back and forth today with the Jets.
Yeah, you know, all I could tell them would just be do what Aaron Rogers does.
It clearly works.
Lots of sleep, right?
That's what it is.
Yeah.
That's the good stuff.
Right on watching dolphins and whales mate, I think might be the cure for you, Bogman.
Today's show, guys, looks like this.
We'll break down the most notable injuries with Deepak.
Then we'll recap all 12 games from the early and afternoon slate.
letting you know the biggest fantasy football risers and fallers along the way.
And before we jump in,
shout out to everyone who's rocking and rolling with us on twitch.tv slash fancy pros.
Please be sure to follow and subscribe for our full selection of live interactive content.
And if you're with us on playback, either on the YouTube channel or the audio feed,
thank you so much.
We see you.
We appreciate you.
Please do us a quick favor.
Give this video a thumbs up.

content this season. And let's go ahead, gentlemen, let's jump into the entry front where we got
some big news on Thursday and Friday, Deepak, San Francisco 49ers running back, Christian McCaffrey.
He missed practice with a calf injury, but did start on Sunday with that calf strain.
Deepak, obviously quite a different situation from a year ago because he was out there. He got the
volume. And we got those practice news on Thursday again. So it felt like we've seen this movie
before. What can you tell us about CMC and what you saw out there today from him?
Yeah, he looked good. It doesn't look like they really held back on him at all. They usually don't with Shanahan. And the fact that he was out for just one practice and even that DNP, he was still doing some sort of like athletic motions and a little bit here and there didn't really look overly concerning. And the fact that, you know, he's a age 29 running back. He has that history. You would think they would be conservative with him if he were truly.
injured or strained. So I actually don't even think I would call this version a calf strain.
He's going to be a high injury risk for the rest of the year. We have him projected based on injury
history, age, and usage at double the average running back. But with that being said, when he's
out there, he's probably going to look like he did today in that he's one of the top scores of the week.
So I would keep on using him as long as he's healthy. So Bogman, from a fantasy perspective,
if you don't have Christian McCaffrey on your team,
are you rostering guys like Brian Robinson Jr.
or Isaac Garando currently?
Brian Robinson for sure.
I think it's a pretty big margin.
It's a pretty big gap between B. Rob and Garendo, in my opinion.
So B. Rob is the guy to have,
but obviously he's not going to be on many wires.
Hopefully if you drafted CMC, you also,
you have got him handcuffed with Robinson.
Late in the process there,
but that would be the guy to roster should anything happen to CMC.
and I have zero share.
I have one share of the team I split with the Welsh,
who's the Niner fan of CMC for that reason.
Well, I'm glad to hear that.
And also, we did get some news on the injury front,
a little clarification from a Friday night injury.
Kansas City Chief's wide receiver, Xavier Worthy.
He suffered a dislocated shoulder Friday night in Brazil
when Travis Kelsey ran into him when running across the middle.
Per Ian Rap report, we got this update,
Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder,
are still undergoing some tests to determine the severity of that.
But they are hopeful that he can make a return sometime this season with a brace.
However, surgery is an option.
Deepak, if worthy was your client, what would you be recommending for the dislocated
shoulder?
And what do you think this means for a timetable for return?
Yeah.
So it depends kind of on what your goals are.
From the standpoint of minimizing the risk of future dislocations, that's definitely the
operative treatment pretty much right after the first dislocation.
What happens is you get some tearing and sometimes even a fracture in there.
And if they're saying that he is hopeful that he's coming back with non-operative treatment,
usually by now from a Friday injury, they'd have the results of the MRI.
And they would have a preliminary plan and usually just pending a second opinion.
So the overall sort of thought process often with these shoulder dislocations is that you can return.
You can try to wear a brace.
the redislocation rates are really high. They're 50% in season for NFL players and we're only a
week one. So with that in mind, you also have to factor in that he is on the lighter side. So every
hit is relatively a little bit more energy for his body to absorb. With that being said,
he's probably going to come back. The average timeline for non-operative treatment is about three
weeks. So you would expect somewhere in that range for him to come back or at least attempt to. I think
overhead motion and specifically kind of reaching up for those catches. That's where the shoulder
tends to be a little bit more unstable. So that's going to be a position that I don't know if we're
going to see from him necessarily, but for the rest of basically his game, you probably see a relatively
good performance when he's active and healthy. Now, if you re-dislocates, that usually would mean a season
ender in that. Then at that point, the shoulder is increasingly unstable. And you may be
sacrificing the long term by pushing through it even further.
So Bogman, hearing this two-part question, one, where is worthy for you
rest of season in your rankings?
And also, how much fab are you spending on Hollywood Brown who just had an absolute
gainer of a game 10 for 99 on Friday night in Brazil?
Yeah, I haven't chosen my rankings yet.
I'm waiting for, obviously, the rest of week one to happen.
But he will obviously move down if he's going to miss about a month here, three weeks,
or whatever it is.
But yeah, Marquis Brown goes out 16 targets in that game.
I don't think they're going to be playing for behind like that all the time,
but he is a really big option with Rice Down and now Worthy Down for an extended period of time.
I have heard, you know, and after Miami's performance today,
maybe a little Tyree Kill back to the Kansas City Chiefs would be an interesting move.
I don't know if that's logistical with salary caps and all that stuff,
but maybe something that they're thinking about coming off, you know, two down wide receivers
and a loss to start the season.
Yeah, it's kind of a tough scene out there.
If you have a lot of Kansas City Chiefs fantasy options, you know, we got Rishi Rice
on the shelf for at least five more games.
And then at the same time, it wasn't great for that backfield as well with Cream Hunt
and Isaiah Pacheco really kind of splitting some of that workload there.
Let's go to Las Vegas where Raiders tight end Brock Bowers.
He left with a knee injury after he went for over 100 yards on five or
receptions. He said he's fine afterwards. There are no concerns moving forward. Deepak,
do you trust the talented second year tight ends word on that? I actually do. Yeah, the mechanism
was relatively mild appearing. The knee didn't really buckle. It bent a little bit inward. So you think
maybe he sprained it. But with that being said, he was up and pretty active on the sideline as well.
And so overall, it sounds like it truly was a precaution. I do believe that.
in the sense that he probably could have played through it if it were, for example, a playoff game.
Oftentimes you'd get an MRI just to kind of make sure that there was no menisical injury or anything
that needed taking care of or potentially should be on his radar.
But in general, if he's feeling pretty good at this point, I would suspect that he returns to practice this week without major issue.
Bugs, will there be any adjustment for you in your rankings?
Because not only did we have this little bit of a knee thing flare up, but the,
usage for him in the first half was strange with Michael Mayer seeing a ton of snaps.
Yeah, I mean, I do not care about one of the very few players that I don't care about the snaps
with is Brock Bowers. And I am just so glad that Deepak is giving us, you know, potential good news here.
Obviously, we have to get the report back from the team. But real big bullet I dodged here
because I also have one of the other tight ends, a bunch of shares of. So, yeah, I'm just happy.
that he's going to be out there. It is weird. We'll get more into that later, Seth, but
not too worried about Bowers if this injury turns up to be not much. Okay. And I wanted to
shout out a couple people who just followed us on Twitch.tv.combe, J. Bucca, Drew York, T.T.
Dam, Tom Texan, Hurricane, and also Grand American Kano. Thank you guys so much. We just actually
passed 2,000 followers right here on Twitch. So thank you so much for that. We really, really appreciate
that. Toby Afromango,
DKG also
following us as well. So thank you so much
for that. Let's go to Drake London
here, Deepak, where he exited
late with what looked like to be an upper
body injury. Do you have any updates on
what this might look like with Atlanta Falcons
wide receivers? Yeah,
so he was questionable
is what they called it, but
it was towards the end of the game. It looked
with about two and a half minutes left,
he came down on that shoulder
pretty hard. And
that I think would result in most commonly an AC joint sprain. You know, the average on these
tends to be a little bit of a milder side at one to two weeks. With that being said, you know,
the severity is hard to tell just from the video itself. So we'll just have to monitor his
return to practice. Typically, if players are able to log at least two limited practices,
the week leading up to the game, they would play. So that'll be kind of the threshold. Hopefully,
we'll see him out there at least by Wednesday, Thursday.
Bogman, are there any pickups for you from this Atlanta pass catching group?
Darnell Mooney, of course, rolled out before we even got to the game.
Then Ray Ray McLeod does what he does best, man.
It just continues to make a little bit of a difference after, you know, being really a return
specialist for the early part of his career, three reception is 51 yards.
Anyone worth scouring out there on the waivers for?
Probably not on the wires.
I mean, Ray Ray would be the guy.
But maybe in DFS, if Mooney misses again and London.
down. Casey Washington led them in snaps among wide receivers and I believe routes run as well.
So might be an interesting one more for deep, deep leagues or, you know, DFS or something like that.
Okay. George Kittle rolled out. You mentioned it earlier, Bogman. You alluded to it.
Tight end for the San Francisco 49ers rolled out with a hamstring.
Deepak, is this one of those situations where it's, you know, the early season hamstring?
They missed one to three weeks and eventually get back on.
on the field, or is this worse or better than that, you think?
I would say because of the player, it's a little bit worse in the sense that he is age 31.
He has a soft tissue history, including a hamstring history himself.
Now, it sounds like it was actually the other hamstring that was most recently affecting him,
but nonetheless, he's got a lot of soft tissue injuries.
So the average, as you mentioned, is about two to three weeks on these hamstring strains.
you saw him pull up after the play.
He didn't fall to the ground or anything like that
that would suggest that it was an automatically severe level.
But I would say when you pull up like that,
usually you're seeing at least that high end of mild
or in the moderate category where you'd call it two to three weeks
as a reasonable expectation.
The return is kind of a subjective thing
in terms of how aggressive players and teams want to be with it.
they return early.
They have a higher re-injury risk.
And the performance dip is usually not that severe, usually about 15% the first week back.
So you would expect him to play relatively well as long as he can avoid re-injury,
but that's going to be the key.
Some of these are up to about a 25% re-injury risk.
And did you see what happened to Joanne Jennings late in that game, too?
We saw him exit when the 49ers were, you know, getting back into this one.
So any idea on what Jennings timeline might be?
what that injury that he did suffer.
And you're not a surprise with him.
I feel like sitting out a lot of training camp.
Yeah, you know, it's unclear to me what exactly the injury was.
I haven't seen the video yet, but he left the game.
It reported a shoulder injury.
So I'll be looking into that and definitely update y'all, but I don't have anything on it yet.
Okay, no worries.
Bogman, what does this mean for the 49ers pass catchers?
Is it just wheels up here for Ricky Pierce all the rest of the way?
Yeah.
I mean, going into last year, I was like, I don't know, when, when is Ricky Pearsall going to get on the field?
They have Debo, they have Ayuk, they have Kiddle, they have CMC, like they, there's going to be no footballs for him.
And now almost everybody's dead except for CMC.
So we're gone.
Obviously, Ayup gone, a bunch of injuries here.
So yeah, Ricky Pearsall is going to be wheels up.
And luckily there are a bunch of tight ends that we can probably add coming off week one with some good performances here.
So not, hopefully this is.
not very long, but if it is, we have some plans for it.
Okay.
Awesome.
Awesome.
And Deepak, let's get you out on this, man.
Do you have any updates on either Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin,
who wasn't out there this week or Houston, Texas running back Joe Mixen?
Are we thinking we're going to see mixing at all this year?
Do you think we see Godwin within the next few weeks?
Yeah.
So Godwin probably is returning to practice pretty soon here.
They've reported that they were looking at a week five target.
it, which kind of made sense with him not being on the pup. Now, the question with Godwin is really like,
when can you use him in your fantasy lineup confidently? And I would tell you, that probably isn't going to be
for the first several weeks back. Usually with these ankle fractures and dislocations, you see about a 12-month
hit to their performance. That's pretty noticeable. About 20% was what we projected. That was keeping in
mind that a potentially a very smooth recovery process. And so we don't really know how smooth
or how not smooth Godwin's has been. He had a second surgery. So it implies maybe there was some
issues with the recovery process. But then at the same time, they gave him a long-term contract,
knowing everything about his injury. So with that in mind, I would say Godwin, I would not
anticipate using him before week eight, but I think we're going to see him on the field around
that week five or six timeline. And then regarding Joe Mixson, unfortunately, a lot less optimism there.
There's really no update that's been had. But if you look back at his injury timeline, it's reportedly
already been around three or four months. So most non-operatively treated injuries by this time,
they would be essentially healed. And I'm not sure if we're going to see a drastic difference
over the course of the next, let's say, four weeks or six weeks. And that's the part of the
part that becomes concerning at what point is like some intervention what's needed and that would
then shut him down for the year. So I am not as optimistic on mixing, but definitely more so on
Godwin towards the back half of the year. So Boggs, staying kind of on that mixing Texans beat there,
like, do we just keep rolling out Nick Chub? I mean, he had 12, 13 carries today. He looked good at the
end of the game once the defense got worn down. Agumbo Wally fumbled that game away for Deepak's Texans.
So do you think it's, you know, maybe taking a little bit away from him, a little bit away from Pierce?
Or are you really just hoping he falls in the end zone if you're starting to Nick Chub right now?
I mean, I think it's, you know, it is Nick Chub right now.
If you're looking at a Texan's running back, that's the guy.
So, you know, if Mixon is going to be out long term, kind of like Breece Hall to get moved at some point.
If the Jets start, you know, keep losing games, I should say.
But head offense looked good.
And he looked like the forefront of it.
So maybe that those rumors are dead.
I think the ETN rumors are dead as well.
So it's probably wheels up for Nick Chubb moving forward here.
Okay.
Well, Deepak, thanks so much for all your injury insight tonight, man.
Can you let everyone know who isn't familiar with your work where they can find it?
Totally.
You can find me basically on any social media platform, mostly Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter or X.
So just search Deepak Chona, my name, or SportsMed Analytics and will come up.
And I am all in favor of that.
rumor that you just started there with Reese Hall.
Let's go.
Deepak, thanks again. Make sure you guys are checking out all of Deepak's work.
And coming up on the other side of this great ad read we have for you is our game breakdowns
for all the Sunday action.
So let's hit that and tell a little bit more about the fancy pros discord community.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, huge news?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing.
a bit for the podcast for people could call in and say, Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

September 16th. So make sure you're getting invested with that signed Ricky Pierce,
mini helmet.
Ricky Pierce,
Boggs.
Good game for him,
but let's first start in the 1 o'clock slate.
The first game to end was the Indianapolis
Colts 23, Miami Dolphins 8.
The Colts absolutely manhandled the dolphins in this one.
Man, went up 20-0 by half,
outgained them 418 yards to 211.
And we talked this offseason quite a bit,
like that there was a chance that even if we were
just price enforcing some of these offensive weapons,
the A-Chans, the Tyreek Hills, the Jayles,
the Jalen Wattles, that things could go south in Miami in a hurry,
and they might hit that reset button.
After three turnovers, just over 21 minutes of possession time against the Colts.
The Colts out of all people are you think we're already there?
Is panic setting in?
I think panic is definitely striking.
Like this was the thing, you know, McDaniel,
one of the highest odds coaches to get fired early.
So, yeah, I think they're worried about it.
For fantasy, I mean, Tyrone.
and Waddle are a little worrisome, but I think they'll get it together and I think they'll
be better moving forward. This time of possession just got out of hand. 3843 to 2117.
You're not going to get anything done offensively if you're only holding the ball for 21 minutes.
So yes, it was a bad offensive performance. Really, we might need to worry more about that Miami
defense not being able to get a damn stop, right? And obviously you can't turn the ball over,
but they made quick scores out of most of those. So, you know, I think that's, you know, I think that
think two was going to be better. This was a bad game for him. But really that lopsided time of
possession was the big thing here. And Jonathan Taylor looked good. He played 100% of the snaps while
they were in the first half when they were winning. And they didn't pull him and put in DJ
until that game was in hand. Caught some passes too finally. Three for 27 out of the back. Yeah,
yeah. And Giddens came in and looked okay. Tyler Warren made his debut here. Nine,
nine targets seven catches, 86 yards. And he ran the most routed.
among tight ends as well.
Usually the Colts like to mix a lot here.
But Pittman got in for a touchdown as well.
Daniel Jones, so here's my one little worry coming out of this game,
is that Daniel Jones scored twice at the goal line.
Is he going to take carries away from JT?
Because we saw JT not do much scoring here.
I mean, great game for him, 18 for 71 and three catches for 27 yards,
look good, but didn't get in.
that end zone, DJ was, you know, sniping his TDs here.
So hopefully we get that figured out.
A-chan way over Olly Gordon.
Although Olly-Gordon stuff was overblown a little bit here, I think, to start the year,
at least.
And A-chan got the ball, 34-47 snaps, only 12 for Olly.
And it was 10 touches to three in favor of A-chan as well.
So I think that stuff was a little overblown, a little worried about JT's touchdowns
with Daniel Jones sneaking at the goal line.
But, and I'm worried about Tua in the offense, but more Miami defense.
Yeah, I'm there with you.
And honestly, like, can we get a shout out to our guy, Tyler Warren?
Like, well, the real Tyler Warren truthers, please stand up because Bogman, what an absolute
clinic that this guy put on.
Seven for 76 on nine targets and a rush for three yards.
Caught three receptions on that first drive.
I think he's really starting to eat in this Josh Downs role.
like a lot of us were projecting here.
So what are your thoughts here?
I'm going to reset myself and tell us your thoughts on Tyler Warren.
Yeah, okay.
I wasn't really sure where we were going with that.
But yeah, Tyler Warren, I mean, he looked good.
You know, I mentioned that before a little bit where, you know,
last season and traditionally the Colts have used multiple tight ends.
But this season, we saw it in the preseason from week one, right?
it was all Tyler Warren on that first drive with the starters and lots and lots of Tyler Warren here.
53 snaps for him, 24 routes run, only 23 for Moe-Alle Cox, or 33 with 10 routes run and only 6 for
Ogletree.
So your man running the routes is Warren for sure.
Well, and here's an interesting nugget I put out on socials earlier today, Bogman.
Tyler Warren, 31% target share in week one, tight-end target share leaders in 2024.
Trey McBride, 28%, Brock Bowers, 26%, Travis Kelsey, 23%.
So I think you got yourself a top five tight end if you invested in Tyler Warren.
That's where I had him ranked and I was way ahead of ECR, but hopefully, you know, a lot of people started catching up by the end.
Not a lot for downs either.
Downs had, what was it, three targets, two catches, 12 yards.
When they had the ball that much, I mean, they ran a lot, but a little concerning for downs as well.
I've kind of figured that Warren would almost kind of overtaken for that rule.
not totally shocked anything else from you from a fantasy perspective from this game like a chan only player in double digits for the dolphins saved kind of by that late game touchdown tyreek very frustrated on the sideline waddle in and out of the medical ten as well i'm gonna save my panic for one more game okay right i just think this lopsided time of possession was the big thing but if they can't hold the ball and they're gonna be well under 30 minutes every single game then that's gonna be a problem okay all right uh next up in a game that had a
projected total the crept under 37 points by kickoff the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the New York Jets
3432 thanks to a 60 yard field goal from the wizard of boss baby both offense pretty efficient
in this one surprisingly five yards per play for the Steelers 6.4 YPA for the Jets and four touchdowns
for Rogers in his Steelers debut four different players catching those huge day for Justin Fields
though from a fancy perspective boggs 16 22 213 313 and 1 3 3rd
the air, 12 for 48 and 2 on the ground.
Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, they did their things.
They both went over 95 yards.
And while there was some truth to the Jets going to a committee, we saw them really lean
on haul down the stretch.
And meanwhile, for the Steelers, though, was like, I think they weren't lying about
Caleb Johnson being third on the depth chart.
So who were the fancy football winners and losers from just an explosive game in
Heath Rutherford?
I mean, it has to be Gainwell is the biggest winner here, right?
I mean, because he had more snaps, more routes than the other running backs here.
And Caleb got nothing.
He had two snaps in this game outside of kick returns, right, which he fumbled one of them.
I don't know why he's returning kicks.
It's not really built for that.
So I just, Gainwell was 29 and 56.
He ran 16 routes.
Warren had more touches, of course, 11 and 37, and he scored the touchdown.
So I still think it's Warren by a decent margin here.
but it's gain well over Caleb for now.
That doesn't mean drop Caleb, right?
Because remember what we did when people were dropping Chase Brown last year,
and he had the enormous season, or was that two years ago?
Everything's mixing for me now.
But yeah, it was a mix, specifically that first drive for the Jets.
I know you were paying attention, Seth, because this is our Steelers.
But Braylon Allen and Isaiah Davis both got carries on that first drive.
So I was like, eh.
Are we going to be leaning more towards a real committee?
That is not how to end up.
37 snaps for Brees.
He also had 21 touches to 6 for Allen.
He did score a touchdown.
Isaiah Davis got in as well.
But I just, I'm not worried about Brees.
Breast is the best running back by a lot on this team.
I'm worried about Brees' maybe goal line carries
because Fields had two touchdowns and Braylin had one.
Yeah.
But that's my only real worry.
I mean, Taylor played a lot, which was nice to see, but only the one target because the Jets want to run the ball.
And they did so very effectively against the Steelers here.
I want to shout out a couple new subscribers here who just upped with Prime.
Totally rad cow just subbed with Prime.
And M. Johnson Jr. 23.
Capspur 2522, also subbing with Prime.
Melson as well, just sub with Prime.
So very exciting stuff there.
But Bogman, let's go ahead.
Let's go to Duval where weather delay there, but it didn't stop the Jaguars from beating the Panthers 26 to 10.
What are your opinions here on this game, Boggs?
Yeah, let's, I mean, let's just start.
I think maybe you need to go in and come out again, Sethi, because your internet's a little garbled here.
But let's just start out with the Jacksonville running back situation here, man.
ETN look great.
He looks so good.
16 for 143, 3 for 13 in the air.
LeQuint Allen was the second guy to get touches here.
Almost nothing in this run game.
Bigsby 14 snaps.
LeQuint Allen 9.
Tutin only had four.
But ETN seems to be the guy here in Jacksonville.
This is a situation that I was worried about going in, so I kind of avoided.
but my whole thought process was, look, I think ETN is the guy.
Let's go with ETN here.
And that is what it wound up being.
Unfortunately, I think I only have one or two shares because there's too much of a coward
to buy on a running back here in this situation.
And Carolina last season, of course, historically bad run defense.
So it has not improved, even though we thought maybe it would.
But, I mean, Bryce Young look ugly, man.
He did not look good either.
18 for 35, 154 yards, two picks.
He ran for 40.
Tet looked okay. Lots of targets. Nine. He led them. Nine targets. Five catches, 68 yards. Nobody else really did much. There wasn't a tight end to pull from this ugly performance from Carolina. So am I worried about Carolina? Maybe a little, but this looked bad. Bryce Young looked bad. Hubbard was fine. Tett looked fine. So if they can get Bryce Young back back to somewhat normal. And now that the Jags have,
have a real coaching staff.
Maybe they're just a good team.
That roster's always been pretty good.
But the coaching has been miserable there for a while.
So, uh,
Jags might be pretty dangerous here.
Panthers look pretty bad though.
So I'm curious to see next week,
which one is more truthful?
Are the Jags really good or the Panthers really bad again?
My gut tells me the Panthers are pretty bad again.
Do you think if you're an ETN manager,
this is the time to get out while his values had an all time high?
I mean,
we were drafted an ETN eight, nine,
sometimes 10th round.
So I think you could probably get a pretty good return on investment there.
Yeah.
I mean, I think if I invested in ETN, I kind of want to hold him right now.
It looks good.
He's a good flex option.
There are some injuries today and there will be moving forward.
So I think for the most part, you're probably not going to get what you want back for
ETN.
Now look, you know, float them.
Get that offer that you can't refuse back and take it, right?
Do one of those.
but I think for the most part
I'm not doing a fair trade
of Travis CTN right now.
Okay. And as far as the Panthers go,
like I want to give this a little bit of time.
I mean, we have Hunter Renfro out there running routes, right?
You know, and nothing against Hunter Renfro,
but Xavier Leggett, like, we need to see more from this guy.
He continues to get a ton of targets,
but just made nothing absolutely work with him.
So that was a real bummer.
But I think once we get, you know,
Jalen Cogar, Ashad, Cokeheads back in the action,
maybe it's a little bit better down the stretch here.
Yeah, I think so too.
And going back to, I didn't even mention Travis Hunter,
but led this team in targets look good,
play both sides of the ball.
So BTJ, a bad day.
I'm not worried about BTJ.
I'm just not.
Yep, week one.
Anyone wants to hit the panic button?
Trade him to me.
I'll take him.
You should be, if people are worried,
you should be trying to acquire him right now.
I still scored a touchdown on the ground.
So, yeah.
Yeah, I'm, I like the way
this Jags offense looked, but this is a cupcake here.
This is like playing Charleston Southern to open your season.
This is not great.
So hopefully the Jags can continue this role.
Editor-in-chief, Mike Mayer in the chat saying so many people owe Travis E-TN and an apology.
His demise was greatly exaggerated.
And Lone Star, I'm sorry, ETN.
I wasn't familiar with your game.
This was the 2023 ETN, right?
It just, you know, maybe skipped a year.
So great.
Might have been the Clemson ETN, what we saw here.
Right, yeah, absolutely. Great to see that.
And overall, you know, I think brighter days are ahead for Carolina and, you know,
great first outing for Jacksonville.
Let's move forward, though, to a game that came down at the end,
but the Arizona Cardinals beat the New Orleans Saints 20 to 13.
Pretty even game overall in terms of efficiency, Saints, even holding a 34 to 26 minute time
of possession advantage here.
Boggs, where do you want to start from a fantasy perspective?
because pretty interesting usage both out of the Saints past catchers and the Cardinals backfield.
Yeah, I mean, I think the Cardinals backfield is the most interesting one, right?
Like James Connor was the lead guy here, 12 for 39.
He also caught the touchdown.
But Benson mixed in more, eight carries for 69.
The snap split was 43 for Connor to 22 for Benson.
So over half still going to James Connor.
And I think that's going to just continue to be the way.
it goes, but Benson is going to get mixed in here and falling knife for Connor.
He is an older back who's had an injury history.
So I think it makes sense.
But I'm good with this mix.
If this is the mix that we have moving forward, I'm good with it.
It makes Benson a little more valuable than we thought.
Maybe Connor are slightly less valuable than we thought, but still an RB2.
But if Benson creeps in more, maybe I'll start worrying about Connor a little bit and
getting touchdowns.
But, you know, Connor getting the score and more carries.
We're all good there.
Yeah, yeah, I'm with you there for sure.
And for the Saints, let's talk about Chuan Johnson.
Former Penn State Nany Lion 11 for 8.
11 targets, 8 reception, 76 yards for Johnson here.
And at the same time, like Chris O'Lobby didn't put it down on the stats sheet,
but 13 targets for him.
He was in and out of this game with a potential injury.
I think he is healthy moving forward, though.
So, Bogman, thoughts on the overall Saints target pecking order here.
Yeah, I mean, they're going to have a lot of passes, man.
Ratler through 46 in this first.
game here. So they're going to be losing a lot of games and playing from behind a lot. So
when I talks about George Kittle, Juan Johnson is our game plan here. He was like going to be
tight end number one. So many targets here. We know Chris Olavay has the big injury history as well.
So if it's going to be Rattler and Juan Johnson is going to be on the field a lot, he's a good
tight end if one of yours got hurt or if you decided to skip that and your tight end did not
perform well this week. Like Joanne Johnson is there for sure. Love all these.
these targets for Olavay.
Hopefully he's going to stay upright for a long time.
And Shaheed had nine targets as well.
Like these past catchers need to be picked up because the Saints are going to be losing
most games.
And yeah, these guys were good.
I wish we had a little more for Camara.
Still 59 and 75 snaps.
I wanted more receptions for him.
I wanted more targets because last time, you know, we saw Spencer Rattler out there.
He had 54, 55, receiving yards in those last two games.
So I was disappointed.
I was also on the over of his receiving yards too,
so a little bit maybe bias there.
But I would like to see a little bit more Camaro.
Well, you know, a little bless Kendra Miller.
The good news is Miller only had 11 snaps out of 75,
and Neil only had seven.
So only 18 snaps for the two backs behind Camara when he had 59.
So it's still Camara by a landslide.
Okay.
All right.
Well, good to know there.
Anything else for you in this one?
I mean, it was great to see Marv kind of back in the end zone.
We like that.
Tray McBride led in targets.
So that was good.
Kyler was his usual meh.
So pretty standard Cardinals game there.
Yeah.
And as even Mike says in the chat,
Call of Duty isn't even out yet.
So that drop off will come, folks.
That drop off will come 100%.
Let's keep it moving here, though.
And before we do,
I did want to say if Joanne Johnson is someone
that you want to add from the waivers,
if you think he might be a good ad first,
tread carefully.
let's not go drop all our fab like we did last year on Isaiah likely. Guilty is charged.
But also don't miss out on snagging potential difference makers like him.
Use the waiver central tool at fancypros.com slash my playbook or on the fancy
pros app to instantly view suggestions on who you should add and who you should drop.
It's been a lifesaver tool for me in the past.
I hope it is for you as well.
And it was another low-scoring NFC East affair in the nation's capital as the Washington
commanders.
They took down the Giants 21 to 6.
Giants pretty putrid offensively here, Boggs, averaging just 3.7 yards per play.
Gross.
As a result, pretty much all their skill players really came in under projections.
Malik neighbors salvage his day 12.1 p.pr. points.
Wondell Robinson continued to do his thing to 11.5.
Meanwhile for Washington, it's pretty slow start for Scary Terry.
I was on that under of his receiving yards.
So I kind of saw that one coming.
But big days for Debo Samuel and Jacori Kuroski Merritt, aka Bill.
where do you want to start with this one boggs let's start with bill i mean uh the bill breakout right this
is 10 carries for 82 yards and a score uh caught one ball for nothing but um he was number two here
it was 33 for eckler it was 23 for bill and it was 13 for mc nichols and i thought maybe we would
get some a nice bill day uh because chris rodriguez was uh inactive before the game but he looked
great. He looked better than Eckler. So I think that this is going to move more towards
Bill Kroski Merritt moving forward. And if you drafted him late, you snagged him on the cheap.
You did a great job. Debo was so good too, man. Debo, 10 target, seven catches, 77 yards.
Also had the rush for a touchdown. And, you know, look, they got rid of B-Rob. I thought that
was kind of crazy because I thought, you know, what do you have? You have a slowback in C-Rod. You have an okay
guy and McNichols and then you have two pass catchers.
But Bill is proving to be way more than a pass catcher right now.
So he looks very strong.
So and Debo working in this run game as well.
Like they're figuring it out and it worked today.
I think the Giants defense is pretty good.
But their offense might be just as bad as their defense is good.
Man, this was awful, dude.
20 miss passes for Russ.
17 of 37 for 168 yards.
Ran for 44.
But he has to be bad.
This was pathetic.
So we're going to see a change of quarterback real quick.
If Russell Wilson does not get this straightened out next week, I would assume you got to have a plan to put somebody else in.
Tracy, he had 50 of 68 snaps.
Singletary and Scatibu got nothing, which is kind of what we thought.
When Scatibu missed a bunch of camp with the groin thing, he was going to be behind to start the year.
I got to say, though, Scataboo looked so good in pass blocking.
He absolutely pancates someone.
And even the couple times that he caught the ball out of the backfield, he leveled a few players.
So, like, I'm still holding on to Scataboo.
I'm not dropping him in any leagues.
Are you?
No, absolutely not.
So, no, I'm not going to the wire in dropping Scataboo.
Singletary got nothing here.
If you were wrestling him, even in a deep league, I think he can go.
The weird thing was Slayton played the most snaps and didn't see a reception in this game.
It was all neighbors and Juan Dale.
with only, what was that, 13, 17 completions?
I guess it's not that surprising.
I saw about 14 balls bounce off at Theo Johnson's hands.
What's up with your boy, Seth?
Dude can't catch the ball.
He's got frying pan hands.
Good God.
Yeah.
So, Ernst caught the touchdown.
I'm not too worried about Terry McLaurin quite yet.
But Debo looked real good.
He's going to take a little steam away.
And so did Kroski Merritt.
But the 14 points, I think this was just a nice defensive game that Washington
came out on the side of because,
Russ couldn't do anything.
Yep, good day to be on the under fits and I.
I gave that one out on the betting pros
YouTube live stream this morning.
So excited about that one.
Shout to a couple new followers here.
Baraflux, T. Savage,
and Cheeky.
Thank you guys so much.
We really, really appreciate that.
And it was a game that came down to kicking
as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They beat the Atlanta Falcons 23 to 20.
No turnovers for either team.
Pretty clean game.
Really kind of turned into a field position,
battle who had the ball last late in that one.
Emeka Abuka got his career off to a great start, two touchdowns in his debut.
Mike Evans found double digit of fantasy points in a very tough matchup against cornerback
AJ Terrell, as did Bucky Irving.
Meanwhile, the Falcons, they finally did it, Bob.
I mean, they finally got the usage we wanted for their skill position players, ma'am.
Dijon, largely ineffective on the ground, but he did take six receptions for 100 yards
in a touchdown.
Kyle Pitts, he had eight targets for seven receptions,
59 yards and yes 17 or 15 targets excuse me for drake london 15 so are you encouraged by what you
saw out of both the buccaneers and falcons offensive pieces yeah i mean how could you not be right
like this is what we wanted for bison for drake for pits and it's happening right now almost 300 yards
passing like you said uh they couldn't really run nobody could run tyler a ljir didn't have a
good day running 2.4 yards per carry less for bajan but he he made it
plays in space, which is exactly what you want.
Like I mentioned before, Casey Washington led this team in wide receiver snaps and routes.
72 of 76 snaps, 46 routes for him.
London, 67 and 76, obviously, heard a shoulder at the end, but Ray Ray was behind,
but obviously had more catches than Washington.
But Washington had more targets.
So like I said, if London misses Casey Washington might be a little bit interesting.
That's all.
But, I mean, let's talk the big story here, Seth.
a Mecca Eggbuka with a big breakout game.
Man, I thought maybe it would take a little bit for him to get ramped up
and raring to go and all that stuff.
But with Mike Evans being tailed by Trell, as you mentioned,
this was a great game.
And, I mean, Mayfield missed that one by just the slightest of margins
to be a pick that ended up for a touchdown.
But, man, Egbuka was routing those dudes up.
Pits look good.
this is the opposite of the Washington
in the Giants game.
Everything looked pretty positive here for the most part.
Outside of maybe Kate Otten not getting some catches
and Drake London being banged up.
He was banged up a little bit this week.
Auden was.
Yeah.
Like, Bucky wasn't great,
but he still caught a touchdown.
Yeah, I think everything else is pretty solid.
Yeah, I'm very, very happy, man.
The only thing I'm, like, upset about with Emeka Bucca is
I drafted him so much in bestball
in early redraft and dynasty.
But when it got to like the late redraft leagues,
I just didn't have a shot at me.
He was going fifth, six round at times.
So yeah, people knew, people caught on,
but definitely I saw someone in the chat saying like
one of the best rookie wide receiver performance we've seen here,
beef saying a mecca might be him for once the rookie height paid off for a week one.
It absolutely did, my friend.
Thanks so much for hanging out with us.
Let's move forward here where even after playing their starters in the preseason,
the Cincinnati Bengals failed to cover.
beating the Cleveland Brown 17 to 16. Super sluggish start for Sincere here, man. 2.9 yards per play.
As far as the efficiency metrics that I've dove into so far to night bogs, it's the worst on the slate.
Their line absolutely cheeks. I mean, it is terrible. Their defense could not get off the field.
This led to just 113 yards passing from Joe Burrow. Terrible games for just about everyone but Chase Brown,
who had a ton of volume, bad efficiency, you know, got in the end zone, caught a couple of passes.
has saved his days.
Meanwhile, man, the Browns, really good outings for rookies, Dylan Samson, Harold Fanon Jr.,
the talented tight end from the Mac baby, Bowling Green.
Really, really good stuff from them.
Third year, wide receiver, Teddilman caught a touchdown.
But Boggs, I do want to start with the Cincinnati Bengals because every year, it feels
like it's just a rinse and repeat that they're going to be better days ahead for the
Bengals offensive players.
This defense is bad, but is it so bad to the point where they're not going to be
able to get off the field and the Bengals aren't going to get as many drivers as we'd like that
these players we took in the first two rounds of drafts end up not returning value.
Man, yeah, I had Burrough as my number one quarterback this week going up against the Browns.
I thought they were going to be in a nice shootout here with the Browns, but you said it absolutely
correct.
Like the defense could not get on the field.
Time of possession was 35, 49 to 2411 in this game in favor of the Browns whose offense is
not great.
Right?
Like, it shouldn't be good.
It was great.
Today, they had the ball the whole game.
But that O-line looked terrible.
They couldn't stop anything.
It seemed like every third down, Joe Flacco had a completion on.
And, I mean, 31 or 45, 290 yards.
A touchdown.
The two picks obviously sank them.
But Dylan Samson looked good.
12 of 29, six target or eight targets and eight catches for 64.
Ford didn't get much.
Ford led in snaps.
But Samson's,
Samson was getting all the touches and Rocket Sanders took the goal line snaps.
Well, if you remember too, in that game, Samson got on in the end zone and he got called back.
And then they put in Rocket Sanders, of course.
So I don't want to overreact to that, but your boy, Rocket Sanders.
But he got three carries. Rocket got three.
Nobody else got another goal line carry.
So, and I think that was probably, you know, Judkins was going to be the main back here before all that off the field stuff.
happened. So, but yeah, you're right. Fanon is the guy to talk about here, nine targets,
seven catches 63 yards. I mean, Injoku ran more routes, 41, but there were 32 routes on
this field for Fanon today. Now, look, they held the ball for 35 minutes. That's a big chunk.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't think he's going to have that every single week. But if he keeps
performing like this, this was my worry for Injoku, because we've already seen the Browns do this
to Injoku before. Fanon is a, he is a big slot more than he.
he is a tight end, right?
He's a move piece.
He's not going to be on the line.
He's not going to be in line snapping and blocking.
They're going to have Injoku do that if Fanon is the third receiver here.
So a little worried about Injoku because of how good Fanon was specifically week one.
We've seen the Bengals have terrible week ones before, I believe last year they lost
New England.
So let's hope they can regroup and get this offense firing.
But this was a pathetic showing in week one, terrible showing against a.
A team that is expected to be rough in Cleveland.
They look good.
They should have won this game.
And Cincinnati somehow stole it from them.
But, yeah, it did not look great for this since the offensive we're expecting a ton from.
But I expected to get way better next week.
Yeah, man, I'm so mad at myself for betting them ATS today.
Like, I was on it early in the week.
I picked the team total.
I pulled off and then I got, I went right back.
I was considered the team total too.
I wanted some piece of this.
And I just, man, yeah, they were.
really laid an egg once again.
But better days ahead.
Don't panic if you have Chase.
I know a lot of people I'm seeing the comments come in.
They're upset with him.
They're upset with Dee Higgins, Joe Burrow.
Better days are ahead.
I'm with you on Fanon, man.
I've known a Joku exposure all across all my leagues, even in bestball, just because,
I mean, dude, go, guys, do yourself a favor.
After the show, go look up Harold Fanon Jr.'s college stats from 2024.
He set the record for tight-end receptions yards and touchdowns last year.
He was awesome.
Yeah.
Even against the big teams, the Texas A&Ms, the Penn States, the guy could not be stopped.
And I think he's proving once again why he is the pride of Canton, Ohio, baby.
So shout to Harold Fannan Jr.
Dylan Sampson, is he a guy, like, what are we thinking?
Where are we ranking him next week?
Top 36 guy probably with the eight perceptions.
Yeah, he has to be a top 36 RB.
Until Judkins is like fully ripping.
Yeah, or until Ford has a good game because Ford did have.
have more snaps than him and all that.
But they gave the ball to Samson and he looked good.
So, and like I said, I think when you draft Judkins and Samson in the same class,
you're saying Ford is not our guy.
So I think Samson is going to be the guy they want to use moving forward.
Let's go ahead and round out the one o'clock slate with the Las Vegas Raiders,
beating the elements and the New England Patriots 20 to 13.
Pretty questionable usage of the Raiders playmakers in the first half by my guy, Chip Kelly.
aka Chipper.
But Gino Smith, man, he was excellent considering this weather.
24 of 34, 362 yards, one interception and a touchdown.
Drake May, man, he threw the ball 46 times.
I don't think any of us were expecting that.
That led to some big games from the likes of Kashon Booty still sticking around.
Hunter Henry and Stefan Diggs.
Who are the fancy football winners and losers of Raiders versus Patriots Boggs?
Yeah, I mean, I think the first thing that we need to talk about here is the Patriot's
slow rolling, Trevion, 11 touches in this game.
10 for Stevenson, but it was not an even split on the field.
46 snaps for Stevenson to 25 for Henderson.
So I think that's going to change pretty quickly,
but, you know, rookies get slow rolled sometimes.
So I think Henderson just, he needs to have a big day,
and they're going to start going to him more and more.
So, again, we're not hitting the panic button,
but it is closer.
It's 50, 50 in touches, but way more.
snaps right now for Stevens and so it's like a 60-40 I would say this is usually how it starts for
rookie running back so right and and the main thing I care about though it's the six targets and the
six receptions like he's going to have a floor every single week brighter days are ahead I think
if someone's panicked on Henderson if they you know spent up a fourth early fifth you know I even
saw him go sometimes at the turn there in the third fourth round so if they spent up and they're
panicking I'm buying I'm buying absolutely yeah yeah me too and then
in the Patriots wide receiver rotation.
So, you know, break that down.
So was here, I'll just give you snaps and targets, right?
Yep.
I don't have targets.
I have snaps.
58 for Boutet, 45 for Pop Douglas,
39 for Diggs, and eight for Kyle Williams.
So those are your three.
Those three, and Hunter Henry had a good day too.
But those are your three.
It's Boutte, Diggs, and Douglas are your three.
And Kyle Williams just is going to have to wait
for an injury or earn his way through practice to make it on the field here.
But Hunter Henry looked good.
Another guy, if you're losing Kittle, very viable, eight targets for him in this game.
And I think he's going to be one of their tops moving forward.
Drake may look good.
Touchdown in a pick.
Ran for a couple yards as well.
So low-in caught that one.
Most weeks, you think, for you?
Yeah, that was a good catch.
Right on the borderline, at least.
You know, as long as these past catchers can do something for him, I think he's going to be
okay.
but lots of passes for Gino on the other side.
And Gentie, you know, not the best game, 21 touches,
but he did get in the end zone.
So that was nice, kind of salvaged to stay there.
Jacoby, by far, leader in targets, 10 targets,
eight catches, 97 yards, but Tucker with the big touchdown.
Like this offense is just going to be a little more efficient with Gino
than it was with Aidan O'Connell and, you know,
the ghost of whoever last year was miserable in Vegas last year.
Are you picking up Bouté or Douglas if they're on the wire right now versus kind of a one game thing?
I mean, we got to keep in mind, though.
Like, Drake May is not going to throw it 46 times per game.
I don't know why he threw it that much in this game, to be honest with you.
That was a tight game.
It was weird.
But let me ask you this.
Would you rather have Boutte or Cooper Cup?
Cooper Cup, for sure.
I think I'd rather have Bouttee right now.
For sure?
Not for sure, I said I think.
But Cooper Cups still led in snaps and rouse.
outs, but JSN got all the targets in that game, 13 targets for him.
So we'll get to that game in a second, but I'm just thinking out loud of who you would be
dropping to pick these guys up.
I think that's kind of a good example right there.
Yeah, I can't get there yet.
I need to see a little bit.
But honestly, like, Bouté was the guy last year.
If you were in a deep 16 team leader, so I was sending him out in the flex occasionally.
So, you know, it could be worse.
It could do worse there.
Let's move the 4 o'clock slate, though, Boggs, where the 49ers, they're.
pull one out late. The Seahawks were driving on them. It looked like they were going to get done,
but the 49ers do win 17 to 13 in Seattle. Big games from Christian McCaffrey. You know, everyone,
we were all worried about it, man, right? And he saw 32 touches today. Deepak says it's wheels up for
now, still an injury risk. Not the best day for Brock Purdy and company, but, you know, he did lose
George Cato. He did lose Shawan Jennings. And Ricky Pierce saw only seven targets, but he made the
most of them four for 108 so let's start with San Francisco are you all the way in on pierceau
still are you even higher on like like where are we thinking like top 25 guy rest of the way
i mean if kiddle's going to have to miss time i was this is another one i'm like all right well
let's you know i think it's going to be kiddle i think they're going to be running the ball a lot
CMC's healthy he's going to get a lot of carries nope it was it was pierceal it's a pierceal day
four for 108 on seven targets but yeah i think i think he's going to be on
that wide receiver two borderline probably right now with lots and lots of room to move up so um but
in this one jsn the solo act here that was the big thing to take away from me that and obviously
walker and charbonnet like what is going on there i'm looking i'm going to tell you the snap
counts right now i'm pulling it up it was 30 with 11 routes run for charbonnet and 21 with
nine routes run for Walker.
So maybe, you know, Walker's got an injury history, banged up a camp a little, maybe
they're just slow rolling him a little bit, but that's definitely at least way more even than
we thought, if not more Charbonate.
This is Kubiak, a new OC coming in.
So things are changing there.
JSN, they just run a lot of one wide receiver looks, even though Cup had more, you know,
looks, he just 10 more targets to JSN.
JSN is getting open when anybody else.
I did like to see Tori Horton,
but going back to CMC, Sethi,
58 snaps of 76.
And B. Rob got 18.
Now look, B. Rob just got there, right?
And the other backs are hurt.
So I don't know that this is going to keep happening,
but I don't like it for CMC's future
if it does keep happening,
which is what it has always happened under Kyle Shanahan.
is he says he's going to ratchet him back.
He never does, and then he gets hurt.
So big game week one, they won, barely.
But lots of usage for CMC.
So, you know, you're riding the wave again just to see if he's going to make it.
And I'm not very confident.
Yeah, honestly, like, I don't want to be that guy.
But if you have CMC and, like, depending on what your risk tolerance is in fantasy,
like, if Christian McCaffrey's healthy, he's probably going to be like RB 1 to 3 rest of the way.
But there's a solid chance as Deepak told us at the top of show that he gets hurt, and I just can't deal with that.
So I think I would be using this as a cell high window.
And I do want to talk about JSN, man, because you absolutely hit the hammer on the nail man.
Like, this is, you know, Andrew Cooper from our friend over at Fantasy Alarm put out a tweet a couple weeks ago, Bogman,
and he looked at like the Vegas overunders for targets.
And JSN was like top 10 in that list.
and like it really goes to show that like he was undervalued in drafts, man.
I had him as my wide receiver 11 in my draft rankings.
I don't know where you had him, but I think a lot of people were too low on this guy because
13 targets, man.
Like this is what he does.
I mean, nine for 124.
I think that was pretty impressive and maybe not what we all saw coming.
The average step of the target was pretty nice, a little bit better than it's been
in the past with some of the old offensive coordinators.
But like, is JSN a wide receiver one moving forward the rest of the way?
he's at least a top 15 wide receiver if not a wide receiver one that's where he's being drafted yeah he's got he's got to stay in that bucket um he definitely has a chance to move up um we'll see like darnald looked decent today we'll see if he keeps looking that good i kind of doubt it but um jsn is by far going to be the leader in targets for seattle he's the main guy and they're going to run a lot of those one wide receiver sets and he's just by just in terms of skill so far ahead of everybody else that he's
just he's going to be the guy that sees the ball way more than anybody else.
AJ Brown or JSN?
I think AJ Brown was hurt.
I'm still going AJ Brown.
It's a better offense.
Ladd.
Ladd.
It can't be like that.
Just slightly.
Ladd is Keenan Allen there, dude.
He's not going to get nearly the amount of volume.
All right.
Dude, Keen Allen looked great.
Get out of there.
Don't throw shade on Keenan Allen, man.
Okay.
I can't have old.
Anybody can side him a bunch of times.
I guess.
Yeah, look, I just, he's in that mix.
He's in that group, for sure.
Maybe put them in the bottom of it just because they're a run first team.
That's all.
Yeah.
I'm seeing some questions coming in the chat.
We'll try to get to those rapid fire style at the end there.

All right, a couple more games to get to starting with the Tennessee Titans at the Denver Broncos.
Cam Ward looked fine in this one in his debut, I thought, despite the, you know, really, really good Denver Broncos defense, you know, poor efficiency for him.
The numbers don't look good, but I thought he handled himself well.
20 to 12 for the Broncos.
What are your fancy takeaways on this one?
And why is everyone just dropping Tony Pollard in the chat?
Like, is everyone that upset with Tony Pollard?
I think it was inefficient, right?
Like, it wasn't the most efficient.
And I think we would have liked to see a little more in the past catching game.
But, yeah, I mean.
get to hate.
Well, he fumbled.
So if you, yeah, if you have negatives for, uh, fumbling and he didn't score,
then you probably didn't get many points from, uh, Tony Pollard.
But look, he had 19 touches.
Uh, Julius Chestnut had two carries.
So Tony Pollard's still the guy here.
It's just ran up against,
by low, best defenses.
Byloe.
Yeah, for sure.
Cam Ward, I'm going to disagree with you, Seth.
He did not look good.
Now, look, Denver is a tough test on the road for your first NFL start.
Uh, but this is why I bet on the Broncos.
12 of 28 for 112 yards and sacks six times.
That is brutally held the ball too long.
He had a couple big plays called back.
I will, like I'm not trying to be the Camort Apologist here, but.
No, no, I love Cam Ward.
And I think he's going to be really good this year.
But this was just, this is why Denver was my survivor pick is because they could not move
the football against this Denver defense.
Denver probably has the best defense in the league.
And it wound up with 62 yards.
passing and 71 rushing yards for the Titans for a grand total of 133 yards in this game.
I think if the Broncos were playing anybody else, they would have lost this game with the
turnovers that they had.
This was not a good game.
Bo Nix had two.
They lost the fumble on the punt from Mims.
There was another fumble in there.
I think also from Nicks, three turnovers from Nicks in this game.
They did not look good, but they did enough to win.
Harvey looked better than Dobbins.
Let's talk about that.
Yeah, let's talk about this.
16 for 63 and 1 for Dobbins on the ground and then 6 for 70, as you said, Harvey.
So we've had a lot of discourse on the fancy pros YouTube channel on the podcast this year about R.J. Harvey.
We know that Derek Brown, I think he's actually related to him at this point.
I think he just filed to adopt R.J. Harvey.
So with that said, Boggs, like, is it just going to take time for R.J. Harvey to overcome Dobbins,
or does he never, based on what we saw in week one?
I think it's just going to take time.
because I do like Dobbins looked better between the tackles for sure but the the the snap
difference was pretty decent 40 for Dobbins 22 for Harvey so it's going to take a little bit
moving forward but this was just this is a weird ugly game you don't want bow next on the ball 40 times
right like especially when he looks like that and he's throwing a couple picks and he fumble
as well so I think this was just a weird start for Denver but I'm
Harvey with only seven touches is concerning,
but I think they're going to have the ball more against most teams,
and I think things are going to move better for him moving forward.
I'm not looking to do anything with Harvey right now outside of,
if you want to bench him, that's fine.
But when you take a rookie running back in the draft,
you have to, they're all conditional.
You have to get another running back soon to start early in the season.
So hopefully you've done that.
Harvey or Pollard rest of the season.
They were going right next to each other in draft.
pretty much.
Yeah, I think I still want Harvey.
I think the upside for that offense is better.
Okay, okay.
All right.
Let's keep it moving here.
Detroit Lions 13 Green Bay Packers, 27.
Get it done in Lambo in the Michael Parsons debut.
Just all around, I would say, solid game for the Packers.
Like, you look at the box score, nothing's going to stick out.
But I thought Jordan Love was just so efficient in this game.
We saw Jane Reed make a couple big plays.
Everyone left him for dead going.
Like, I got him in like a 12, 3rd.
13 rounds of drafts and a couple of redrafts this year, Bogman.
Slow out of the gates for Matthew Golden,
but Josh Jacobs did what he needed to do.
Let's start with the Packers first.
What did you like?
Who's the fancy winners and losers, if anyone?
Because I don't see a lot of changing, really,
other than I think Romeo Dobbs, as Debrough would say,
adjust the ranks on him.
Yeah, I think you're kind of coming in a little crackly there again, Seth.
But I will jump into this game as you kind of reset.
But Jordan Love, 16 and 22, 1808 yards, and two touchdown.
So just okay, right?
That's fine.
We'll take the two touchdowns.
Obviously, Matthew Golden, not great in this game.
Dobbs with a big catch, but no one for the Packers had more than three catches.
Jaden Reed had a touchdown.
Tucker Kraft had a touchdown.
This was a Josh Jacobson played defense game, 19 for 66 in a score.
And as Seth mentioned, the time of possession was extremely lopsided in this game
because Green Bay, 2435 to 35 for Detroit.
So Jared Goff, he's an indoor cat.
We all know that.
Not a terrible game from him, but 31 of 39, 2.25, a touchdown in a pick, Montgomery.
And they just couldn't get anything.
Like, Green Bay's defense is going to be a tough match, I feel like for most of this season, Seth.
11 for 25, 2.3 yards for Monty, 2.1 for Gibbs.
Obviously, Gibbs added it with 10 catches.
So if you're in PPR, you have no issues with Gibbs Day, right?
You don't have many issues with Gibbs Day.
but if you are in a regular league, you're like,
oh my God, this guy got me five points for my third overall pick.
So better days are coming for Detroit.
They're not going to have to play Green Bay every single day.
But JMO, you know, Amonra didn't do much either.
Like Leporta was the best receiver in this game for the Lions.
So I just think this was the Lions running into a really good defense that was ready to go week one.
And all they could do is complete short passes.
and they took what Green Bay gave them,
and that just wasn't enough to come away with a win here.
And really to come away with anything great for your fantasy team either.
Look, I hate to be this guy,
but I ain't panicking a little bit on MonRot.
And like, I don't say I'm panicking myself
because I don't have any of MonRaw because I was lower on him
than consensus.
I am closer to wide receiver 10 overall in my draft rankings bogs.
And like, I am worried because this was a really getable,
like I get it's a good upfront, front,
front seven for Green Bay but dude this secondary is cheeks man this secondary I think I think
Seth froze up again I look I understand panic on a Monra right but I think when the player
is as good as a Monra I understand Jamison just got an extension right Tesla caught that touchdown
he looked great but I think I think when you face a worse offense than the Lions you're just
going to see a much, much better day moving forward for Amara. So if you, if you want to listen,
I'm okay with that, but I'm just not going to do anything with Amonra as it stands right now.
I guess I should probably just jump to the next game while Seth figures out his internet here.
We didn't, let's go to, I think it's the last game. It's Houston nine, the Rams 14. In this
This one, Matt Stafford, 29, 246 yards, and a touchdown, Kyran, 18 for 66 in the score.
I just jumped in to the Rams in Houston game here, Seth.
You want to fire it off there?
Yeah, absolutely.
So I don't know how far you got into this one.
Just started.
So just roll it from the top.
Yep, 14 Rams, 9 to the Houston Texans.
This was another one where I think we're all, you know, I don't want to say overhyping what we're expecting in week one from a lot of these.
offenses, but I mean, there's a lot of change here, right? Devante Adams didn't get a ton of time
in training camp with Matthew Stafford. And at the same time, too, Bogman, like, the Houston receiving
room kind of diminished a little bit with injuries. Jalen Noel had his first start here,
new running backs coming in in lieu of Joe Mixon as well. So, like, I'm not overly concerned by
anything here. What were your takeaways? I mean, huge day for Puka. I think anyone who got
Puka, end of the first, early second, you got to be thrown with 10 for 130. DeVon.
Ante Adams, you know, did what I think we thought he would maybe do in here four for 51.
So what are your overall takeaways?
Any big fantasy winners and losers for you?
Because for me, it's just Puka continues to go up the rest of the season ranks.
Yeah, so much for Kyron Williams getting split, right?
Like, or any pressure from Blake Korn or Jarquess Hunter at all.
I think something happened to Jarquez.
I think you might have got hurt on special teams or something.
But still, it doesn't matter.
It was all, Kyron.
18 for 66 and a score.
Also the catch.
I mean, just a great game for him.
Puka, like you, and Puka went out.
Like, he took one to the dome early and cut his, his head and had to, like, he had to leave and then come back.
It was a weird thing, but 11 for 10 for 130 for him.
And nothing changes there for Puka.
So wheels up.
You know, there was a little like, to me, I was like, where do we go?
Because Devante was, I believe, third or fourth in first reads.
And Puka was first.
So it was like, well, somebody.
he's losing here, right?
And right now, it seems to be Devante a little bit.
But on the Houston side, I think you're concerned because, as you said, like, I'm not
going to panic about Nico having a subpar day.
You know, Nick Chubb was just okay with the 60 yards and nothing in the receiving game.
I don't like that at all.
But they got to get D'Re off the field now after that.
Like, it's going to be hard to trust him and Damien Pierce, who gave you, like, an absolute
nothing burger.
I mean, the O line was the worst part here, and that is not fixable immediately.
So it depends on what's going to happen with these injuries.
I believe they had their center hurt and their guard hurt, right tackle maybe.
Two offensive linemen out for a line that looked miserable all day.
I guarantee you once we get like PFF grades and stuff, the Rams are going to be low,
low, low on the totem pole.
So not too much to do with Houston there.
I'm not panicking on Nico.
And I think, what do you think?
Corum safely cuttable?
If you're not just have, you just don't have him for a handcuff?
Yeah, Corum wasn't even draftable, in my opinion.
So, yeah, he should be on waivers.
Like, I mean, I'll roster Woody Marks over Corum, honestly.
And Woody Marks was garbage.
Yeah, yeah.
Just not a lot, just not a ton to pull away from a weird game here.
I think your initial thoughts.
are going to still be okay.
If Nico, look, if Nico isn't good next week,
we'll sound the alarm a little bit here.
Yeah.
But I don't think that's going to be the case
in Houston next week.
They're on the road against the bucks.
So I think they'll be able to pass the ball.
As long as CJ Stroud can get the ball out,
that's the big thing here.
Yeah, if the line can hold up, man,
like I'm not panicking because, like,
I just really think the Rams,
they proved it down the stretch last year, man,
with Jared Verse.
coming on that like this is a really good defense and and it's continue to get better it's a lot of
young guys out there so you know you know would i like better than four point six yards per play sure
but is it the bangles bad down at like 2.6 whatever they're rocking no so you know just hold on
i think that's like really the message here tonight boggs is like there are a few players i think
we're both panicked on i think we've said that like i'm a little bit more panicked on in monroe st
brown than i think other people uh you're a little bit panicked on a few players as well but like more
than anything like week one's weird it's always weird i don't know why it is but even earlier in the
day it thought oh we might get some points here and we did in a couple games our game uh over there the
steelers and jets but for the most part you know defense is usually ahead of the offense as we start
the regular season yeah yeah and that's just and you know you don't want to hit the panic button but
you do want to recognize some of these trends so we tried to to figure out some of the the things that we
are actually worried about and the things that we aren't so there's and it's it's
85, 15, not worried about things to 15 we actually are.
