This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy. Not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with
Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, what's good, y'all? You're listening to Learn the Hardway with your favorite therapist and host, Kear Games.
This space is about black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing.
How many men carry a suit or armor. It signals to the world that you not to be played with.
And just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to.
Listen to learn the hard way on the AHA radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever reported on.
A Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman.
Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud.
But how long can this alliance last?
Tell me what you know. Is somebody coming after me?
Listen to Kingdom of Fraud on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

On the herd
What up sticks
Good morning
Well
Good afternoon
Good noon to some people
Yeah it's very interesting
Good morning to you
Good morning to everyone out here
It is very interesting, seeing the light of day, seeing actual human beings walking by the studio, seeing traffic.
Having energy running through your body because you're fully awake.
I don't even need this coffee.
That's just a prop.
I mean, for certain.
Damn.
I've already had two cups before I left the house.
And sleep.
So, first off, I want to say congratulations.
Clayton Kershaw, 3,000 strikeouts.
It was quite the scene at Dodgers Stadium.
Yeah, no kidding.
A lot of throwing.
Lots of scenes last night at Dodger Stadium.
Clayton Kirshah gets strikeout 3,000 against the White Sox.
The Dodgers were trailing.
He did not look great.
Probably the worst he's looked since he's come back from the injury and the rehab and all that.
But nonetheless, it was about the moment in the career of Clayton Kirschaw.
He gets strikeout number 3,000.
And then they go on to walk it off in the ninth because Freddie Freeman does it again.
So it was quite the scene there for the L.A. Dodgers at Dodgers.
Dodger Stadium. Dodger fans were thrilled.
Now, from one fan base and one organization that is legitimate championship contenders
and defending world champions to another team in town that is not.
Oh, geez.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Oh, yeah.
Take your pick.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hey.
Talk about different balls in the air, which one you want to catch.
There's still some up in the air
You chose to catch the Lakers one.
You want to talk about a wild turn of events.
It's like the movie when Steven Seagal was in a coma
and he wakes up after eight years
and he's like, what the hell happened?
How did everything change?
I woke up this morning and all of a sudden
I rubbed my eyes
and I'm looking around going,
oh, so DeAndre Aiton's the lynchpin
to a championship contender.
Okay, I had no idea.
This is news to me.
Is it?
But apparently...
He is.
I ain't gonna lie.
I'm in on that.
DeAndre Aden?
Yeah, I'm in on that.
Which of the 40 games, or better yet,
which of the 42 games he missed last year was your favorite?
Because I don't know.
I kind of like the...
This whole thing is bananas.
Bang, bang!
It came out guns of blazes.
It is bananas.
But apparently...
You know, that stuff is...
Like, you can't measure the amount of games missed anymore.
in the NBA.
The idea of a disgruntled player, an unhappy organization,
the politics that play a part in missing games as a pro-MBA player is very real.
So I don't look at the amount of games that he missed last year and say he can't be the guy that we've seen him be when he was in Phoenix.
I say I look at a guy that was in a situation that didn't work.
out for him and didn't work out for the organization and now he's going somewhere else and
that's probably why you didn't see a lot of him this past season. The problem I have with this is
that this is the third stop now for DeAndre Aidan. He was in Phoenix. He goes to Portland. Now he's
with the Lakers. A lot of people don't like Portland though. Oh, I listen, I hear you. You know what I mean?
Like I'm not going to hold Portland against. Sorry Portland, but I'm just not going to hold Portland
against Aiden. I'm not.
Now, the reason why I would say that there should be cause for concern is that there was
reported issues in Phoenix, you know, work ethic, tardiness, all the things that come along
with it, attitude.
Who are you talking about Luca or you talking about DeAndre?
I'm talking about DeAndre.
Oh, okay.
Luca's already been fat-shamed enough.
We're not going to go in that direction on this show.
I mean, I was just making sure that we understood that maybe the Lakers are feeling
like they're well-versed in those type of guys.
Nico Harrison was like Joe Clark.
Dang.
Joe Clark in the movie talking to that kid who's overweight.
He saw some sloppily sloppy boy.
Nico Harrison.
You smoke crack, don't you?
Nico Harrison, baby.
We're going and jump.
Challenging Luca to jump off the building.
You're sloppily sloppy boy.
You want to jump?
No.
No, I want to play for the Lakers.
I'm sorry.
I want to play for the Lakers.
I don't want to do it anymore.
I don't want to die.
So Nico Harrison was busy fat-shaming Luke.
DeAndre was in Portland, and according to it.
And he's not fat.
He just don't work hard, I guess.
You're broke crack, don't you?
Thank you.
Nico Harrison live on the top of a building, ready to throw Luca off.
That is not how Luca's losing away, people.
That is not what we're insinuating.
So, D'Ondra Aiton, according to an article from the New York Times, that he, their veterans were kind of fed up with him.
He would show late, he would miss Team Plains or be tardy to team planes.
Just like the, just your typical, not really all that invested.
Some people kind of viewed him as a bit of a clown there.
And it did not work.
And he was bought out.
And so now he's a member of the L.A. Lakers.
Now, I would say this, it's an upgrade.
Right.
It is an upgrade at the center position, but it's an upgrade much like sushi at a liquor store when you're hungry.
It's food.
I just don't know if that's the kind of food you want, or if that's the kind of food that you would go, that's exactly what's going to get me through the rest of my day.
I'm just skeptical.
I still look at this team and I go, they are at best, fourth, fifth in the conference, and considering the upgrade Houston,
what OKC just did.
You've got Denver coming back.
Minnesota you think will take a next step.
I just, I don't know how this does anything different for the Lakers next year.
I think it does if the leadership quality is there for DeAndre Aiden and the scenarios that you are mentioning.
I don't feel as though a can't get right because those are can't get right actions.
If you feel as though coming into the scenario, you have a good whole.
to understanding through your conversations with Aden
that those are things you can manage.
I honestly believe as a player,
when DeAndre Aden is playing the game,
he can be one of the more elite bigs in the game.
And if you were to ask anybody who knows basketball
and has paid attention to the Lakers,
they've needed a big man.
They needed a legitimate big man.
And as we continue down this road,
of preparing for post-Lebron James era in L.A., I think this is a good move.
Now, let me add this to it, because I got this from my guy Cuffs to Legend, by the way, some
do show.
What up, Cubs?
What up?
What up?
On Cuffs?
And he did call DeAndre Aiden going to the Lakers, by the way, before it happened in previous shows.
And this is the latest that he's come up with.
and I think that this is pretty spot on and on par for what could possibly take place
with everybody getting what they want.
I think the Lakers want to move on from LeBron James.
I think LeBron James is okay with moving on from the Lakers
if it serves his purpose,
which is one, he's trying to get another championship or two
to try to catch up with MJ and Kobe.
and three to make sure that his son's career isn't cut short.
What would be the best solution to that?
Well, let's talk about it.
If you put all of the elements together and you say,
okay, what makes this work for LeBron James in this scenario,
it would be most likely to go to a organization that still would approve of having him,
would embrace having him, would support having him,
which would lead to possibly him being able to package that up
with bringing his son with him.
There's the possibility of that.
Unless within the buyout or the leaving of L.A.,
they would make sure they take care of Brony James
in the event that he were to leave here,
those two elements, right?
But it would also be for him to go to a place
where A, has a chance to wear in the championship,
be with somebody that he's familiar with.
If the New York Knicks hire Brown, right?
If they hire Mike Brown,
there is a relationship of respect
and admiration between LeBron James and Mike Brown.
They have history together.
They go back to when LeBron James first time in Cleveland,
he was with them.
They had a ton of great success.
Mike Brown is a very well-respected coach.
If he were indeed, and in fact,
the coach that ended up being named
the head coach of the New York Knickerbockers,
is there a possibility
as close as
that New York Knicks team is
to competing for an NBA title?
Would that be the move?
Mike Brown falls in the place.
Boom, first domino falls down.
Is LeBron James the next domino
in that series of dominoes to fall?
Does he end up in New York?
Great market.
He goes from one.
one major media market to the other major, the two bohemists.
He goes to the other one.
And we know that LeBron James has made a career of going to organizations that are close to winning championships or have already won one.
This Knicks team is close to a championship.
It would be a familiar person in Brown.
He would be able to integrate and get in there in a easy manner, a less stressful manner,
and make a difference for a team that was probably a LeBron James away
from being able to make it at least to the championship round.
Well, it gets them closer for sure because the Eastern Conference is wide open.
Well, there you go.
It's wide open because of all the injuries.
And look, I've said it before on Fox Sports Radio.
I believe Cleveland's in an advantageous spot
because for a team that's run into injury bad luck the past couple of years,
everybody else ran into it this year.
and maybe Cleveland just by default
becomes the healthiest team.
And if Mike Brown does, you know, is finalized
and that's the reports we're hearing
that he's going to be the coach of the Knicks,
yeah, if you're LeBron,
and this is all about you getting
to another NBA finals to have another shot,
the easier path would be the East, by far.
Because in the Western Conference,
it ain't happening right now.
Doesn't that bring you back to the conversation?
It was just out there.
Everybody was throwing this out there,
ring chasing, ring chasing culture,
ring chasing culture
as if LeBron James was the creator
of ring chasing culture. He's not, by the way.
I don't think people should try to
downgrade him that way. But
ring chasing culture
if LeBron James
were to leave and to go
to a team like the New York Knicks,
does this
now begin
to be the
idea of
you couldn't get it done in Cleveland so you had to go
to Miami. You eventually
got it done in Miami and then you go back and then you get it in Cleveland.
Then you can't get it done in Cleveland anymore.
So now you go and build a super team and you are able to get a bubble,
a bubble championship in L.A.
L.A. seems to have run its course.
Now, if you go to New York looking at what they got in Brunson,
looking at what they got in, if they're going to keep towns,
which you would assume that they're going to keep Carl Anthony Towns,
you go join a team that actually is set and built to make a run for the championship.
What does this do to LeBron James legacy?
Because in all due respect, LeBron James has had to go chase the rings elsewhere.
It has never been bringing the rings to him.
And when you look at Kobe, they brought the rings to Kobe.
when you look at MJ they brought the rings to MJ
they didn't go somewhere else to go get it done
with somebody else's main players
and you integrated and maybe became the main player
they didn't do that with Steph Curry didn't do that
the rings have come to where they are
LeBron James is widely considered
arguably the greatest basketball player of all time
and yet maybe be
the only one in the category
of having to go
chase the rings
elsewhere. First
I think it's pretty disrespectful
to list off the accomplishments
of LeBron James and not include the in-season
title. Oh, my bet.
That's rude. My bet.
And enter that
champions of the in-season
tournament. Now, I've heard
from people that the ring he got in the
bubble wasn't actually a ring, it was a gold
COVID mask. Again, I don't know
and I'm not trying to spread any
negatives. Yeah, I'm not trying to spread any
sort of negativity out there. But I just think he is what he is at this point. And I don't think
that there's anything that he could do to either jump above Jordan or move off anybody else's
list. Like you feel about LeBron, how you feel about him. And if this is all about, I want to go
chase another championship, it's going to come down to him looking at the landscape of the Western
Conference and trying to figure out, is that the best way to do it? Me personally, I don't
think it is. I think there's way too many obstacles in the way and way too many better teams.
I think if he's going to do it, it's going to be out east. I just don't know, depending on what
they're going to ask in return, if the Knicks look at that and go, is it really worth one
year, potentially of LeBron? And everything that comes along with it. He took his option. He took his
option and he's getting older. What exactly are you going to ask for in trying to get a hold of
LeBron James.
And if that value is so high that it is a scoff at it and turn and walk away from it, then why are you getting rid of them?
If his value to you is still that high, why are you getting rid of him?
Look, I think if you're the Lakers and you're planning on moving on from him after a year, just do it now.
Do it now.
Yeah, like I'm with you.
And make it doable.
I'm with you.
Don't try to rob the whole hen house if you know your intentions are to get him out of there.
If you want to get him out, then make it a doable situation, make it a doable deal.
And for what it's worth, if you felt like you got dup by bringing in his child, you could get a two-for-oneer.
Yo daddy did this.
Now you got to go right along with him.
What's about a way?
How do you handle that?
Like if Bronny James has to go because his daddy left,
how will the media handle that?
That's a whole other conversation in itself.
God,
you would find out a lot about LeBron James' reputation in town
if they traded him,
and then immediately after trading him,
they made Brony the custodian.
Like that would be,
you'd find a hell of a lot about.
Wasn't looking for that plot twist,
but that was a hell of a twist right there.
All of a sudden, they're like, hey, here's a mop and a bucket.
He could say he's an employee of the L.A. Lakers.
I mean, I mean, all the perks.
If he gets to sit on the bench, but he's cleaning toilets and cleaning floors during the week,
making sure there's no dust on the floor for practice,
he's still considered to be an employee of the L.A. Lakers.
Yeah, it's the whole thing is a bit bizarre.
But nonetheless, it is the herd here on Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Erington, Jonas Knox, in for Colin.
as we take you all the way up until 3 o'clock Eastern time,
noon Pacific.
Up next year on the herd, though,
there's one team in the NFL that feels great about everything
going into next year,
but maybe they shouldn't.
Find out why right here on FSR.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd

Hi, this is Jay.
I'm the producer of the Paul and Tony Fuscoe show.
Usually in these promos, they ask you to listen to the show.
I'm here to ask you, please don't listen to this show.
The host are two absolute morons who have the dumbest takes on sports imaginable.
Don't listen to this show so it can get canceled.
Whoa, whoa, what the hell are you doing in our studio?
Get him, Paulie!
Ignore that fool.
Listen to the Paul and Tony Fusco show on the IHart Radio app or wherever you get your podcast.

We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis.
And I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs' tennis podcast,
I'm breaking down everything happening.
at Roland Garris, every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay.
Jen she went.
I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lena Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can
win on any surface, because if she's serving, well, good luck.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
It's a herd Fox Sports Radio.
Levar Arrington, Jonas Knox, in for Colin.
Coming up here in about 20 minutes from now.
In another edition of the Hurdline News,
we had history in the world of sports last night.
We will tell you why, who it involved,
and how it nearly got a little bit interesting.
That'll be yours here again,
about 20 minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio.
So Andrew
Philiponi, who's a radio host in Pittsburgh,
he recently pointed out
these Steelers being
underdogs in 11 of 17
games this upcoming season.
So here are the games because it's a short list
and it won't be, it won't take as long.
Here are the games that they are favorite in.
Week 1 at the Jets,
week 2 versus the Seahawks,
week 6 versus the Browns,
week 9 versus the Colts,
week 15 versus the Dolphins,
and week 17 at the Browns.
sidebar
thank you to the Cleveland Browns
for being in the same division as the Steelers
because you will guarantee that they won't finish last
but the
Steelers being going into the season
with all this hoopla
and all this discussion
when you start to
take a look back and we've talked about it on our show
two pros and a cup of Joe when you start
to take a look back and
you look at what
the NFL presented them from a
schedule standpoint
they're up against it this year.
They do not have an easy schedule.
It is difficult,
which is why the win total
had been set at eight and a half for Pittsburgh.
And if you're an eight or a nine win team in the AFC,
you're probably not going to make the playoffs in that conference.
So for all the discussion about all the pieces they've added,
it still feels like Pittsburgh's up against it going into next year,
based on the schedule.
Listen, I've made my points on this.
known as this has continued to unfold.
They have been active this offseason and they have spent money, but people make the point
of saying that Pittsburgh spends their money on defense.
And that's true.
It's proven through the information that is set forth and put out there.
But they do look to be trying to improve their offense.
Now, I don't know that I'm a believer in their back-to-back committee that's in their
running back room right now.
but maybe it works out for them based on what they see.
In terms of their quarterback position,
it's obviously a tremendous risk.
It's a big move to bring in Aaron Rogers,
and it's probably a short-lived move.
But what does that short-lived acquisition?
What are the results of that?
So you guys are, you know, the bettors out there
or the prognosticators in betting
are basically saying that Aaron Rogers is washed.
That is basically, in essence, what they're saying.
Damn.
I mean, what else does that insinuate?
What is that insinuate?
I just love that term, washed.
Cleaned in a mother lover.
So my whole thing is, what can Pittsburgh do?
Pittsburgh, and this creates an interesting conversation, Jonas,
because I want to throw it out at you
and see how you feel about it
and try to make some sense of it.
They have a pretty decent defense.
Their defense is not bad.
If they were to lose T.J. Watt, we've had the conversation.
I don't think it can happen.
It shouldn't be a conversation.
But with some of the recent things I've heard swirling around rumor-wise,
it's worth the conversation.
If you were to get rid of T.J. Watt,
because you felt as though
giving him a long-term contract doesn't serve the Pittsburgh Steelers in a way where, one,
you're going to get the amount of production that you want for the amount of time that you wanted for.
And two, it may make it difficult to trade him if you wait and give him a new contract
and try to trade him under the new contract that he has.
If right now you feel like this is the best time to unload T.J. Watt because it's that year,
early before it's a year too late type of approach,
then what would you do to justify that trade?
You would have to bring in someone
who makes your team unequivocally better
and almost justifies it.
One, I do not believe you can bring in a swapout.
It can't be a defender.
It just can't.
You cannot get rid of T.J. Y and bring in another defender
and hope that that's going to work out.
There's no one out there that exists and you can't do it.
But what if you were to do it on the offensive side of the ball?
And you did a trait, you orchestrated a trait with, say,
rumor has it with the Washington commanders.
With the Washington commanders, you get a couple nice draft picks
that would give you the ability to start to build towards the future,
because now you're building draft stock and draft capital,
But then you bring in Terry McLaren.
If you add Terry McLaren to now the ad of Janu,
now the addition of D.K. Metcalfe.
And you have Terry McLorn on that offensive side of the ball.
I would say all that's left is do you have a running back
and can your offensive line hold up?
If your offensive line, if you're confident that your offensive line can hold up
and you get someone that can produce at an above average level.
They don't have to be a superstar.
Even if it's by committee, do you have a backfield that is conducive
to giving you the hard yards that Pittsburgh has always needed to have
to win into the AFC North?
Does that make it a more legitimized move forward?
Does that actually solidify an offseason
that where you say the Steelers are always defensively heavy.
You just added Jalen Ramsey.
If you were to lose T.J. Watt, they are going to have guys.
It has happened before.
When Kevin Green and Greg Lloyd left,
people thought that it was going to be hard to replace them.
They replaced them.
When Joey Porter and Jason Gilden left,
as hard as it may seem and sound, they were replaced.
When these guys have left, when Chad Brown and James Harrison have left,
they have been replaced.
Do you look at it from the historical standpoint of who you've replaced in the success you've had at that very position that T.J. Watt is at?
And do you make a move that says, we'll put a younger guy in here?
He's not a well-known guy.
It's probably the safer move, even though you're going to get spanked by the media.
You're going to get spanked by the fan base.
But is it a smart, legitimate, prudent move to unload T.J. Watt now before it's a year too late?
Add a guy, a weapon in Terry McLaurin, which would be an amazing addition to that offense.
In fact, you would have no excuses if you're Aaron Rogers or an offensive coordinator on how to distribute the ball.
You got John who you got a friar move.
You got a double tight end set.
You have so many, so many groupings that you could go out there in situational football and be in favor, like in a very, very,
favorable situation, does this make sense to you to take that approach?
I'm not doing it.
Because, and look, we've talked about this before.
I ain't matter.
I think not getting a deal done with T.J. Watt and moving on from him
undoes all the good you did this off-season.
And we made this point on our show.
If you were to get rid of T.J. Watt, isn't that counter to everything that you've been trying to do this off-season?
Not if you bring it.
a guy that makes Aaron Rogers
that much more dangerous.
I'm sorry, I just got to say it.
And as a defender,
as a former defensive player,
it pains me to have to say it.
It really does.
But if I can improve and upgrade my
offense to that
capacity, that's this,
that is the Washington commander's
number one receiver. That's their number
one target.
If you were to bring in another one
with D.K. Metcav, who
is a one, which by the way, I made the point, I made the discussion point, and I stand on it.
It's a hill I'm going to put my ten toes down and stand on it.
I don't think that D.K. Metcalfe was an upgrade from George Pickens.
I do not.
I think that they have the same type of character traits.
I think that they could potentially, he could potentially be an issue, the same exact way,
Pickens was an issue.
And I don't, I didn't feel as though, I felt like that.
That's a swapper.
That's a one-offer.
Like, it's a swap, it's a push.
You didn't get better, but you didn't get worse.
You add Terry McLorn, who is a known character guy, high-character guy, high-achievement guy, understands the gang, good team guy.
And, oh, by the way, he's an Ohio stater.
So he understands the area.
There's the connection with the quarterback that just got drafted from Ohio State.
I don't think that it would be a bad move.
I think it's a justifiable move
if you're upgrading your
offense, even if
it was as significant a
downgrade by letting T.J.
Watt go. In the long run,
you may look at him and be like, damn,
T.J. Watt didn't have the greatest of years that next year.
Dang, he never really got back
to where he was supposed to get to.
Maybe distillers pulled the trigger
at the right time. It could possibly
work in their favor, especially
if you come out in your offense is cooking
in the AFC North.
Look, I love Terry McLaren.
I think he's one of the more underrated players in the league.
I just, to sacrifice what you would lose on defense with T.J. Watt to add Terry McClorn, I don't think it's worth it.
Especially if Rogers is only going to be here for a year, do you really want to part with a cornerstone of the franchise?
Again, you're always going to be faced with those hard decisions.
and our guy Bill Belichick was one of the best and greatest at doing it,
getting rid of a guy that was a beloved guy,
was a part of the fabric and of, you know,
the makeup of what the community represented.
T.J. Watt has done a fine job of building that type of, you know, goodwill.
He's banked a lot of goodwill.
But that's still the business.
of football. It's still the business of pro sport. And the business of pro sports says put more
points on the board. We want to have a defense that can keep points off of the board so that we can
put more up. But the name of the game, the rule changes, everything is geared towards making
sure that the game is a more offensively driven and stimulated game. And if I have to lose
a major, major key and a piece to our team on the defense side of the ball, I at least want to do
it knowing that I improved and I upgraded our ability to be able to score touchdowns.
And Terry McLaurin with this group of guys that they've brought in, I think they're in a
really, really advantageous position if they were to make that type of a move.
So as we mentioned, their underdogs in 11 of 17 games are the Pittsburgh Steelers going into
next year.
Does Terry McLaurin coming in and losing T.J. Watt, does that take that up or take it down?
I would say that it takes it up.
I want T.J. Watt.
It takes, wait, wait, wait.
If you were to lose T.J. Watt takes it up as in you're going to lose more games?
Yeah.
No, if I were to take Terry McLauron over T.J. Watt, yeah, you're going to lose more games.
You're going to lose more games.
Well, then you don't do it.
If you're to Pittsburgh Steelers and you're looking at it from that perspective, then you don't do it.
Yeah, I just, I look, if I'm Pittsburgh and I know what the odds are going into the season,
but the reality is the NFL, there's injuries, there's, you know,
a couple of misplays here or there
and teams that you expect to be good.
It's why there's so much turnover in the postseason
for the most part in the NFL more so than either sports
because a couple of games here or there,
like it's a fine line between being 7 and 10 and 10 and 7.
Like it's a fine line.
There's a couple of moments here that could be make or break.
So if you're Pittsburgh,
you probably look at this and go,
yeah, so we're only favored in six games going into this season
if we're able to maintain and keep T.J. Watt
and get him done and everybody's happy on that side.
Which is not a glowing endorsement of T.J. Watt.
But if you're Pittsburgh and you go, at least, I would feel better about my chances going
into next year with T.J. Watt as opposed to no T.J. Watt add Terry McLaren.
I would feel better about it. I think you're looking at it, you're looking at it
from a player to player perspective. I think you've got to pull yourself out of looking at it
from the Terry McLaurin to T.J. Watt perspective. It would be better to say T. J.
Watt and Aaron Rogers.
Look at it from that perspective.
It's the T.J. Watt versus
Aaron Rogers. Because
if you're adding Terry McLaurin, that means
you're giving another weapon
to the person that you believe can
come in and win you more games.
Right now, if they're being projected, because I just
said, don't do it if you think you're going to only win
less games. But if
you're projecting us to only win six games,
why not take a chance? If we're only
going to be six games good with
T.J. Watt, why not take a chance?
so on. We have Aaron Rogers at least for one season. If I have Aaron Rogers and basically what
they're saying is they're putting their money down, all their money at the center of the table
saying that we're going to get this one good year with Aaron Rogers and you can add another
weapon of that caliber to his offense. I don't care who it is on that defensive side of the
ball. If that gets a trade done where we can add that type of weapon to our
offense, let's go. Does it hurt your heart as a Pittsburgh guy
and a defensive guy to be saying this? Yeah, because it seems so
chaotic. You're not going to be allowed to Permanis
ever again. Well, yes, because I'm a Pittsburgher and I keep it real. And because you
got a sandwich there. 4-1-2 runs through these veins by God, and that ain't going
change. I'm in the Pittsburgh Hall of Fame. Sports Hall of Fame, baby. What is your
Permanati sandwich? What is it? The Big Fish. Yeah, if you go to the
Permani's in State College. You can see LeVar Erington up on the wall. There's a drawing of
LeVar up on the wall. They put the historical sports figures of the area on the wall.
I happen to make the wall with some pretty special people.
You can see my face on a urinal cake, I believe, if you go there.
But the big fish is the same thing. I thought it was on the mat on the floor.
I thought it was the name of the company, but it was actually you.
I've been here. Bang.
Yeah, look, the Terry McLaurin situation, we can catch up with Albert Breer next hour and see
if he knows any of the latest on that. It just sounds intriguing, right?
Yeah.
At the least, the rumor, and I hope it happens.
I've heard the rumors circulating around, and it was just worth having the conversation,
because to me, if you're going to put your, because basically in essence,
this is Aaron Rogers' career.
Like, he's going to finish up.
He's going to wrap it up here in Pittsburgh.
You have Mike Tomlin, who could basically, you know, this could be it for him.
You have, what's the name of the GM?
what's his name?
Omar Khan.
This could be the end of his career.
Damn.
I mean, in Pittsburgh, it could be the, it could cost a lot of people their jobs if this doesn't
work.
If the stakes are this high, if the stakes are this high, you've made this many decisions and
this many moves to try to make your team better, are you telling me in a decision and a
movement in an off-season where we could possibly save our jobs and put us in a position
to build our team for the future by creating drag capital that you would not sacrifice a player
even of the caliber of T.J. Watt, you would not sacrifice him for that. It's just, it's one of
them hard questions. It's what you get the big dollars for, but it's worth discussing because I'm
giving Aaron Rogers as many weapons as I possibly can. And adding Terry McLaurin and some, some,
some strong draft capital with doing that,
it just seems like it might be the right decision to make.
It is The Herd here, Fox Sports Radio,

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers,
and guess what? We have some big news.
What's the news, huge news?
We created our...
own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.

This is the Heard Lline.
My news.
Yeah, right music.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Damn.
Come on.
All right, guys.
Come on.
Big night in L.A.
milestone moment for Clayton Kershaw, just the 20th pitcher in league history
to record 3,000 career strikeouts, and here it was on AM 570.
One two pitch.
Strike three cold.
There it is.
He got him with a slayer.
thousand for Clayton Kershaw history at Dodgers Stadium.
Obviously, Kershaw hasn't quite been the same in several seasons,
but great to see him finally achieve that greatness at home
in front of the Dodger Faithful at Chavez Revees.
He was getting lit up early.
It did not look good.
It didn't look like he was going to make it through there, but he pulled it off.
Because Dave Roberts, I don't want to say gambles the right word,
especially in today's sports climate,
but Dave Roberts,
he pulled him after 69 pitches in Colorado
because he wanted to set it up,
or yeah, Colorado,
because he wanted to set it up to where he could do it at home
in front of the crowd,
and it wasn't until his last inning, last pitch
that he was able to get that third strikeout,
but other than that, it was not looking good.
And then Freddie Freeman walking it off at the end was appropriate.
That was perfect.
So good night for the Dodger fans.
Got to love those magical moments.
All right.
Hones.
We're going to say this one's for you and the in-laws.
O'O-oh.
The U.S. men's national team captured a 2-1 win over Guatemala to advance to the
Gold Cup final.
Is that right?
Taking place on Sunday against Mexico.
Yeah, this is, of course, the last major competitive tournament for the U.S.
as they prepare for the World Cup next summer.
Now, look.
Against Guatemala.
I will cut.
Okay.
So this sets up.
the Mexico U.S. final again, correct?
All right.
Now, they do not like
each other.
Nope.
There's been...
No, I mean, maybe the stakes are a tad bit higher than here.
There's been reports of bags of urine being thrown on the field.
No.
It gets a little spicy.
I have a strict policy.
Okay.
Root against whoever the in-laws are rooting for.
Okay.
So go USA.
and I just hope that I'm in a crowd,
a room full of the in-laws
to where I can go ahead and pull back a car.
Well, just a crowd with enough people.
Because I was at, I read this,
I was at a Mexican restaurant.
I was at a Mexican restaurant.
And they were playing the Netherlands
in the World Cup back in, I think it was 2012.
And I remember my wife, then girlfriend at the time.
And we were there and it was, I mean,
there was guys sitting there with the Mexican flag draped around them.
And I didn't have a rooting interest at all.
We're just watching.
And I looked around.
I was like,
oh,
let me go and stir this up.
So I started live betting on the Netherlands.
And I didn't think they had any shot at winning.
Mexico gave up a goal with like two minutes left and then lost it in extra time.
And I looked around and everybody was just mortified.
And I thought it was hilarious.
I'm sorry.
I grew up a Cubs fan.
I got the right.
You got to be a tie,
be careful doing that with this one.
That's, you just got to be a tabby, careful, right now.
I mean, I'm just saying, you won't be politically correct.
No, well, look, they, I mean, am I wrong for this?
Am I wrong for this?
No, listen, there's, I guess if people want to take it that direction, they can.
I'm looking at it from a soccer standpoint.
Okay.
You know, root against the opposite team.
We've taught the best before.
One of the great joys in a man's life is when you can root against your buddy's team.
Oh, yeah.
It's just a wonderful.
wonderful moment.
Some of the best fights in hubs after.
You don't even care about the other team.
You just want your buddy's team to lose.
One of my best friends has always been a Kings fan.
And when they were up to O on the Warriors a couple years ago to finally win a
playoff series for the first time and forever, and then they ended up losing to the Warriors,
it was such a great feeling for us.
It makes us sick.
It's a Lakers fan.
It just, but there's something about it.
You can't explain it.
And she'll ask me all the time, like, why do you just root against the other team when you know we're all rooting for Mexico or whoever?
And I was like, because that's what I do.
That's what guys do.
There you go.
It's what we do.
I mean, nobody wants to be at the bottom of the pile.
So if you can somehow find someone else to drag down and throw them underneath, you're like, that's exactly where we want to be headed.
That is correct.
You do not want to know what happens at the bottom.
bottom of the pal-ups.
What happens?
All kinds of screaming, hollering,
just very inappropriate things happen at the bottom of the pile.
You don't want to be in the bottom of the pile.
Poking and prodding?
No, it's more like grabbing and twisting.
Pinching and pulling.
Pinching and pulling.
It doesn't.
Yeah.
No, no, let's go to break.
I don't want to go any deeper into this.
Oh, gosh, boss.
Why, is that trial over?
It is.
What are?
Can we talk?
Can we talk freely again?
I just, yeah, I'm wondering.
Oh, no.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
Nice.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
