Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an IHeart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
Starting point is 00:00:12 We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
Starting point is 00:00:30 you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the ice. Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Winning on Clay is an art. The rallies are relentless. And at the French Open, only the toughest survive. I'd know. I competed there for decades. Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast for no-nonsense breakdowns of the biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments that define Roland Garris. She can win.
Starting point is 00:01:21 She's an outsider to win the French fame. And she likes Clay. Listen, Lina Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now. And I actually can win on any service. Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds, I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever reported on. A Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman. Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud.
Starting point is 00:02:26 But how long can this alliance last? Tell me what you know. Is somebody coming after me? Listen to Kingdom of Fraud on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, thanks for listening to the Covino & Rich podcast. Thanks for trying to stifle my gains. He's a gain stifler, bro. I went to the gym and I came in and there's pizza. How do I resist?
Starting point is 00:04:59 Who are you, Tallinn? I had pizza last night. I already got another slice. That hour he spent on the treadmill for nothing. For nothing. For nothing. But it was so tasty and I appreciate it. We got the best listeners, the best friends.

If you're here listening to us on Fox Sports Radio, we appreciate that too. All the new people, thanks for finding us. Everybody on the IHeart Radio app. Everyone in the future on the podcast. You mean the world to us.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Let's have a great weekend. Let's get into it. Michael, can you check your phone for a second? Oh, yeah. What month is it, by the way? It's, uh, oh, are you ready to bring the madness? Because it's March. I'm going to, I'm ready to bring the madness.
Starting point is 00:05:39 But last night, I was like, is it May, June? It felt like NBA playoff basketball. Did you watch the Lakers and Knicks? We're going to get to that in a minute. So we got to talk to some NBA. You see, Steph Curry, he's hitting three pointers from the logo. Like, the NBA is heating up as predicted. Curry, what about that fan that hit that shot for $100,000?
Starting point is 00:05:59 Listen, we said it. We said the NFL is king, but the minute it dies down, we're still interested in the offseason, but it's the NBA's opportunity. And I feel like they are stepping it up. So we'll talk some NBA today. Some NFL moves being made. Were you going to say, some NFL moves like you're Trump? I think I heard a little Trump in there.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Some NFL moves. You hear it? He's slowly morphing into a mix of Seacrest and Trump. And a little bit of his dad, I hear the, oh, how are you? You're fired. Every once in a while, I hear it. What a weird covo that is. I know.
Starting point is 00:06:28 I know. You combine them all. You get rich. But I did want to start the show. Not talking about Stephen A. Smith and him. Talking about the Lakers. Not talking about. You want to talk Charles Barkley.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Charles Barkley. Sir Charles. Some call him. Wait a second. You guys better not talk Lakers or Warriors today. Oh, no, no. We got to talk even Stephen A. even though I don't want to because I know he loves it and denies it.
Starting point is 00:06:59 He loves the fact that people are talking about his confrontation with LeBron. We got lots to get to. We're going to get to that. But what do we do best on Kavino and Rich? A lot of people say the fun, the nonsense. Let's be honest, some of the non-sports stuff. Well, dude, I don't get it. It's sports.
Starting point is 00:07:14 Sports is fun. So I think we're doing what we're supposed to be doing. Blending the fun of life in with sports. Now, you and I always say that we have. passion for a few things in life. And you love to say, you love sports, a nice heiney, and music. That's right. Nice.
Starting point is 00:07:34 And a good fight. Well, I don't know if it's in that order exactly. Yeah, I was going to say, I was going to say baseball and boxing also. Yeah. I would have said sports. I would have said sports until I discovered women as like a preteen. I love Gary Carter until I put my Cindy Crawford poster up. Yeah, it all changed.
Starting point is 00:07:50 But women, sports, entertainment, this is sort of what got Camino and I to be. become friends. That's true. We bonded over our love of those things. In our early 20s, yeah. And now, too, let's be honest. You still like a nice booty and a good game? Unfortunately, I haven't changed that much, no. I saw someone on social
Starting point is 00:08:08 media call Kavino out, and they thought he was insulting him. And I think it was a compliment. Someone said, Kavino? That guy has no maturity. He acts like a stupid teenager, and Kavino's probably like, thank you. He said something like, he has the immaturity of a sixth grader. And I was like, thanks.
Starting point is 00:08:24 better than fifth grade I was like Stevie past the third grade oh what a glorious day yeah I barely past third grade I bring that up because what do we care about
Starting point is 00:08:36 it makes sense there's two stories in the news that have to do with booty and I'm going to tie it into sports and you say rich how do you do it and I'll tell you
Starting point is 00:08:46 genius behavior is how I do it it's you know it's what I'm made from we talked a lot about how the Yankees finally have accepted the fact that it's 2025 and young men
Starting point is 00:08:58 want to have some freedom in the facial hair department and it went over well the team discussed it former players personnel Hal Steinbrenner and they made this big decision and everyone for the most part was like you know what Yankees great move. Can I just say this though? It was
Starting point is 00:09:14 because there was a compromise and not everybody got into that side of the story. I saw a lot of photoshop and people at hobo grizzly beards. They said very specifically, well-groomed beards. So I like that. And it was an adjusted rule because the reality is they said well-groom mustaches back then because it was the 70s when they made this rule. Right. When your dad was at Studio 54. Yep, 50 years ago. With his platform shoes.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Okay, so it's 2025. I know where you're going. Yankees make the adjustment. We all make adjustments. There's two stories. One about a flight attendant who got fired from Alaska air because on social media she was seen doing the slightest little fun, cute twerking dance and now there's a cop a female detective
Starting point is 00:10:05 NYPD that might get fired because in her spare time she was part of a rap video where she's shaking that booty and I got to say. Would you say for the first one buckle your seat it's ready for takeoff? This time. Take it
Starting point is 00:10:22 I don't think you're ready for this. Woo, perfet! Bringing the jelly! Happened to be ready for the jelly. Just in case you're wondering. So buckle up. I just think the same way the Yankees have said, hey, listen, we're going to follow the lead of society.
Starting point is 00:10:37 We're not going to go overboard, but we have to understand young men want like a nice groom beard. I think we have to understand young women in 2025 should not get fired for a little twerking action, a little booty shaking. these women weren't showing everything on only fans it was a big story this airline
Starting point is 00:10:58 well that detective in the rap video she's kind of showing everything yeah hold on I got to see this twerking video you know for research purposes let's make that clear because I never watched a video so I got to see it I did read the article it was everywhere I got to see you're really down
Starting point is 00:11:13 playing it so I got to see it the airline one wasn't done in an overtly sexual way it was almost like she twerk for four seconds It would almost be like if Danny G or Monty or someone was like, yeah, it's party time. Like she put her foot up a little on the chair and just did like one, two, three. I do that three times a day here. You do that before every update. One day, you know what you're going to get?
Starting point is 00:11:33 You're going to get a big Vince McMahon. You're fire. I don't record it. That's the difference. I know. Rich will say, you're fired. You're bad. So I'm just saying the way the Yankees adjusted, see, I tied it into sports.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Nice. I think as a society, we need to remember not to be sticking. in the muds, but you don't... How about this, though? How about something called... There's a word, Rich. You may have to look this one up. Class. Oh, geez. How about we don't abandon something called class and a little bit dignity? And the fact that you do represent companies and you should carry yourself in such a way. Like, if you're representing the NYPD, don't be showing your ass in your spare time.
Starting point is 00:12:11 I don't think that is a good look. And it's probably embarrassing to their kids in the future. Look, there's a lot of things, not to sound like a hypocrite, things that I've done in radio that I'm embarrassed though because I'm a dad of a teenage daughter now. His daughter's friends found some of our parodies from the 2000s. Yeah. But again, this was in my early 20s. It was almost encouraged
Starting point is 00:12:31 because I'm a radio person now. Yes, the stuff we did. But if you're a cop and you're doing those things and it's sort of a bad look to that department, I think you're always representing a company. Just because things are progressing, Rich, doesn't mean you throw all of your pride and dignity in your class
Starting point is 00:12:47 out the window, man. I look, I'm a dad of a teenage daughter, so I'm always policing what she's putting out there too. Like, would you be okay if your daughter was showing her ass if she was a professional at the same time on that level in a video like that? Danny G already said it. Fully exposed, dude, full on cheeks. So that's a little much. There's a sliding scale. One story is, and I got to see it, but you're really down playing.
Starting point is 00:13:13 She's just shaking a little bit, having fun. I'm okay with that. This other girl who's in the news today. in New York, that's a little risque. Should she be fired? I don't want to see anybody be fired, but I could see some sort of penalty, some sort of warning. You know, we could learn from this and say, hey, maybe you should cut back on that because we want you to carry yourself at a certain standard.
Starting point is 00:13:35 That's not wrong to ask when people are paying you. A warning or some guidelines is one thing. That's fine. I don't want to see anybody get fired. I think there's a big difference between twerking and dancing and, you know, goofing around or even being sexual is waiting. different than, way different than if you said, you know, your kids' second grade teachers on only fans, I don't think we could be doing that.
Starting point is 00:13:57 But those are not the same thing. I want you to look at this Alaska Airlines video. And you tell me if you think that's a fireball offense. I know, Danny, you said, well, she's using her, you know, flight attendant uniform, which is probably their case. Yeah. And they have rules about what they can and can't do once they're aboard the aircraft. Is this it? No, that's not it.
Starting point is 00:14:19 You said Alaska Airlines, right? I believe it was. Let's see. Oh, wait, here it is. Is this it? Yeah. Yep, there she is. When she's crying on TV.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Yeah, she's been making the rounds. Who is she the star of crocodile tears? Wah! But when you see the video. Her and Sandy Lyle? Inappropriate, bro. I'm sorry. Should she be fired?
Starting point is 00:14:41 No, but she's got the stanky leg, one leg up, twerking her butt cheeks in her uniform? In her uniform is exactly what I said. Bro, see, I knew he downplayed it. Yeah. Should she be fired? No. Am I a hypocrite because I find her hot and sexy?
Starting point is 00:14:56 Yes. A smitch. Yeah. She's very attractive. I'm a guy of, when am I going to say, oh, man, I hate this inappropriate. But I do understand that you have to conduct yourself in a certain way. Rich and I have full on adult conversations every day behind a paywall on our Patreon. We encourage you guys to check it out if you want.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I don't conduct myself that way at Fox Sports. And if I did, I would be penalized in a show. certain way. So for you to defend it, I think it's odd. Just because it's 2025. Sometimes I forget. Hey man, it's the 90s. You got to like loosen up. It's the 90s. And I just sent you guys the link to where you can actually see the rap video. Oh, I've seen that. Inappropriate. Serve and protect those cheeks. You know why I pulled you over?
Starting point is 00:15:46 You know what? And you know what? As an, uh, a, uh, a lot. an officer. Whatever you want, officer. You're supposed to command respect, right? Right. You're serving and protecting. You pull somebody over. It's like, hey, aren't you the one with your cheeks out on that video?
Starting point is 00:16:01 You're not respecting that person the way you should in a position of authority. Do you find her attractive? Do you want to have a drink with her? Yeah. I would let her handcuff me. But you would not be looking at her the way you're supposed to be looking at her. And don't forget, detectives, no joke. You have to work for years to step up to that.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Yep. And by the way, like I said, would you want your kid to be acting this way or your wife to be acting this way? There's a place for it, guys. I'm not being, you know, the prude route here. I'm not being that guy. Again, because it's very hypocritical. Hypocritical. These women are beautiful and they're doing a thing, but they're in the workplace.
Starting point is 00:16:37 I have what one might consider a ridiculous hypothetical or, you know, rich. That's not at all. And it's not sexist because Monty's a. going to tell me it's not. Okay. Because no one wants to see dudes on only fans for the most part, right? It's only fans you'd imagine. It's mostly, I'm on the Mexican one, Los Lonely fans. Yeah, he just sits right out with eating a bag of Doritos and playing guitar. I'm on the one Bayer created, Only Dan's. Oh, only Danz, yeah. That's a good one, man. Yeah, Danny G and Dan Byer, they're just hanging out. Only dance. It's pretty high. No, it's all female subscribers,
Starting point is 00:17:14 but you can, you have to be a Dan or a Daniel or Danny to have a page. Amazing. I heard some of Dan Edser on there. All of them. Dan Patrick's on there. So, only Dan's, only fans. I got to ask. Los Lonely fans. A big topic over the last couple years is how a lot of female athletes are underpaid.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Now, you could make the argument, which is correct, which is the revenue. If it were higher, they'd get paid more. We've had this conversation. We get it. What if an attractive WMBA player, a Cameron Brink, a Kelsey Plum, an angel Reese. What if one of those girls was like, screw it, I'm doing an only fan.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Would the WNBA be like, I can't tell you what to do? Do you think that is a possibility? They might like the attention because a lot of their players have gone like almost runway fashion, slant, sexy swimsuit vibes. So that's helped the WNBA.
Starting point is 00:18:12 There was a player recently who signed the first contract with Playboy. It was in the news this past week. But I'm saying like, listen, Jeannie Bus, one of the most respected owners in sports. Wasn't she in Playboy back in the day? But an athlete, in a way, they're almost like an independent contractor. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:28 Like, yeah, you can irritate your franchise and there are clauses maybe in certain things with your contract. But it's not like working at a regular 9 to 5 job or for a police department. Right. And I think it's interesting that you bring up the WMBA because, like, you just said, D&U, it's like, you might have a clause. But this person is going to be like, okay, so you take away my money when I don't make any, here anyway? Dude, you would take and I make it all over here.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Imagine and again, pick who you want. I'm just naming the girls I know in the WMA, but a Kelsey Plum or a Cameron Brink or a Paige Bukers, right? Page Beckers, Beckers, yeah. Who's in college? But if one of these girls was like,
Starting point is 00:19:06 hey, listen, what do I get in the WMBA? What is it? $80,000? Yeah, I can make $80,000 a week on Onlyfans. Yeah, easily. What if they said, hey, I'm a star in the WMBA, but until the league is ready pay me the money that I want to make?
Starting point is 00:19:21 I'm going to be doing videos. Yeah. What would they do? What would the league do? Danny might be right that the league might be all about it because it's bringing attention to the WNBA. And Rich on your list, you forgot the one who started all this back in the day, Skylar Diggins. I think she's Diggins Smith now. But she was like the first kind of beautiful face of the WNBA.
Starting point is 00:19:42 And I remember at the time when she was being promoted, I remember reading comments saying, man, the WNBA needs more of this. Why are we pretending that men don't like? Again, what did I start this conversation with? Kavino and I bonded 20 years ago over our love of sports, women, you know, guy culture, right? Anna Kornicova, Danica Patrick, you know, women that are also attractive in sports, why do you think, what do you think softball pitcher? Mendoza.
Starting point is 00:20:12 No, no, no, hold on. Now I'm drawing blank on the old name of the... Beautiful, blonde. Yeah. She threw her. heat. She was on our show. Very famous. We all drew a blank. Vich. Jenny Finch. You think Jenny Finch would be as popular if she wasn't also attractive?
Starting point is 00:20:27 So what I'm saying is, like, I would not be shocked if you're seeing flight attendants, cops, everyone, in this generation, in this generation where sexuality is way more open and people seem to are, you know, seem to be for the most part very out there with their sexuality. And by the way, for the record, those of you keep in score at home, it's former K-State Women's Basketball Guard, Jada Thorpe, who signed a deal with Playboy. I don't know if you guys saw it. Yeah, and Kov, I was reading, prior to her in 2022,
Starting point is 00:21:01 Liz Cambridge, she was a WNBA All-Star until she retired in 2022. She joined OnlyFans right after she retired and reportedly made more in her first week there on OF than she earned in her entire WNBA career. But there's two stories that have in common. after their playing days. And weren't there some female UFC fighters that got on OnlyFans too?
Starting point is 00:21:22 I'm not surprised. And by the way, when this play... Since you opened it up, what are the ethics? Like, what if your girlfriend's best friend is on OnlyFans or a coworker? Are you allowed to look? It's the weirdest thing. It's the weirdest world we're living right now.
Starting point is 00:21:34 I'm just saying the benefit for you is now that some of these beautiful women are doing this. Yeah. You could change your wallpaper from A-Rod kissing himself in the mirror. You've had that for far too long. I've had that for way too long. But I just don't get the effort. Like, you know, for years, you always imagined, like, what that hot girl in the office looked like.
Starting point is 00:21:52 And now you could probably see because she might have an only fan. And then your wife finds out, and you're like, I'm just supporting her. Hey, Monzi, if you found out your dude had an attractive female co-worker. And she had an only fan. She had an only fan. And he was like, yeah, babe, I'm like supporting my friend. Yeah, so I was supporting my friend. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Don't tell me about it. Absolutely not. Well, that's what I'm saying. What are the ethics? But again, there are ethics. And I don't think if you're working for a company or playing for a team, you should have the right to do that while they're paying you. I'm sure it's in their contracts.
Starting point is 00:22:26 And, you know, if that's what they want to do, go right ahead. But you're not playing for our team because there's kids involved, dude. There's kids and young fans and families. It just doesn't go hand in hand, I don't think. You know, like I said, I know you're thinking anything goes because it's 20, 25 and you're so progressive. Dude, it's the 20s. It's still, there's still like boundaries. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:22:47 It's worse when you're, we have a lot of girl dads listening. Oh, yeah. I'm a stepdaughter. Covino's a girl dad. Yeah, we don't want our daughters having pages. I don't. You know, it used to be keep them off the pole. Now let's keep them off the pages.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Yeah, keep them off the only fans. Keep their cheeks off the gram. It's a tough job. So I don't want to condone it. Although in the same breath, I'm like, ooh, she's hot, right? But that's kind of how a lot of us guys see it. Well, let it be known as of, oh, my God. There's a time in a moment.
Starting point is 00:23:16 place. I don't think you could be doing both. You want to do that stuff? Do it when you're done playing for whatever organization you're in. Some people make when you're done being a flight attendant all those things. Look, you can do it. Hold on. When you're done being a flight attendant, do you think someone's
Starting point is 00:23:32 going to see your body when you're old? Let's be honest, man or woman. That's true. So, I mean, right now, then don't work for the airline. That's true. Just to throw a number at you, Kavino. You're sure. To throw a number at you. And again, with this generation's, you know, laxadaisical, is that a word, right? My mom used that word.
Starting point is 00:23:53 Like lackadaisal. Some people lean into the lax. Some people say lack of, with the lackadaisical, as my mom would say, attitude about sexuality these days, are you shocked to know that there's about 5 million only fans' creators? Yeah, but they're not all slaying. They're not all making money. Right. But I'm just saying, would you be shocked if some popular women in the world,
Starting point is 00:24:16 world of sports went that route. When you see, there's been actresses that have like not got work for a while. They go on OnlyFans and it's like, you know who's on OnlyFans now? Denise Richards and her daughter. Wow. And they have a rule. They don't look at each other's content. Way to go.
Starting point is 00:24:34 But to think Charlie Sheen's daughter and his ex-wife both on OF. Mm. Mm. And there's also passes now, right? Like, that's the first step. So your thoughts at 877-99 on Fox. And we are going to get to the Lakers and the Knicks last night. The Lakers.
Starting point is 00:24:51 The Lakers. I heard it. Probably the game of the year. We're going to talk some NFL QB situations. We're going to play a great game called Quote Me. So a lot of fun, a lot of sports coming up. But your thoughts as we see flight attendants, cops, and people. Keep to keep this in mind.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
Starting point is 00:26:32 We have some big news. What's the news, Nick? Huge news. We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
Starting point is 00:26:42 We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But, This one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Before Jonas Brothers was... This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, hey Jonas. and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
Starting point is 00:27:20 But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
Starting point is 00:27:45 help an a cappella band with their between-souin-law. songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
Starting point is 00:28:05 It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the I-Hart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Welcome to my new podcast, Learn the Hardweight with me, your host, and your favorite therapist, Kear Games. And in recognition of mental health awareness month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field and conversations with so many incredible guests. I'm talking, Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark. Sometimes when we're in. in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing. And we're still chasing it. And we don't know when we've done enough. Because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes about wins and losses. Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth. Are you a good person
Starting point is 00:29:09 because you're afraid? Because that's two different intentions, bro. Absolutely. And that's two different levels of trust. I want you to just really be a good person. Join me, Keir Gaines, as we have real conversations about healing, growth, fatherhood, pressure, and purpose on my new podcast, Learn the Hardway. Open your free iHeartRadio app. Search Learn the Hardway and listen now. Jacob Kingston grew up in an isolated polygamous sect. We were God's chosen kingdom on earth. He felt destined for greatness. So when a swaggering Armenian businessman catapults Jacob into an extraordinary world, he doesn't look.
Starting point is 00:29:47 back. Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, meeting the president of Turkey. I'm Michelle McPhee, and this is one of the most shocking criminal conspiracies I've ever come across. When Jacob met Levant this plant to a billion dollar fraud. But with two kings from entirely different worlds, just how long can their empire survive? The largest tax investigation in American history. You need to tell me what you know. Is somebody coming after me? Jacob told Levan, you're ruining my life. Listen to Kingdom of Fraud on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:30:33 You know what A.C. Slater's real name was? Albert Clifford. Sanchez. Sanchez. Look it up. He was Chicano. Fatos Locos forever, Carnalitos. The weekend is here. Remember the episode where Zach realized he was Native American and he was totally Yes, that's you. Rich Davis is trash.
Starting point is 00:30:55 No, Rich Davis is trash. Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio, super pumped that it's Friday. Moncie, you remember that episode of Zach Morris? Remember he comes in with a whole headdress? Right, and the guy dies and then his like spirit comes back for a second. Say by the bell. I'm so glad you. I'm so glad you love to say by the bell.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Well, guys, thanks for all the feedback at Fox Sports Radio at Covino and Rich. Monsi has your updates in a few minutes. Danny G is here super producing on the phones at 87799 on Fox. Again, at Covino and Rich Perfet on the ones and twos. Now, Rich poses a question. It's a double doozy, so we pose it here because we're seeing, here's another angle here, Rich. I'm sure they're not hurting for money.
Starting point is 00:31:39 But in the world of sports, we've seen an explosion of beautiful women covering sports. You don't think there's a market. You don't think there's a market for creepy dudes that want to see these women? Of course. Absolutely. You see beautiful women in sports, covering sports, and you see these women doing sexy things on the side in the news. So Rich poses the question, if the Yankees make the compromise, do we have to shift our way of thinking and stop coming down on these women? I like your progressive thought, but they're at the workplace.
Starting point is 00:32:13 Remember when we were kids and people would be like, it's the 90s? I'm giving you, it's the 2020s. The way the Yankees said, all right, listen, it's about time we get very. rid of this facial hair thing. Dudes want beards and facial hair. It's a different time. It's a different time. Do we have to accept the fact that if an NYPD officer is shaking her booty in a video or an American Airlines or Alaska Airlines flight attend
Starting point is 00:32:34 that does a little twerking, should they get fired? And I pose the second layer, which is, what if female athletes started to say, well, we're not getting paid enough, we're going to do an only fans. Would someone stop it? I want to make this very clear, too. Again, I don't want to sound like, senor righteous. But is that your alter ego?
Starting point is 00:32:54 Yes. I don't think they should be fired at all. That's the truth. I don't want to see anybody be fired. I want to make that very, very clear. But, you know, rules are rules. And again, boundaries still exist. It's not a free-for-all, dude.
Starting point is 00:33:06 It's not. So let's go to the phones at 87799 on Fox, just to chop it up. And we'll talk some Lakers and Stephen A and Aaron Rogers and more. Let's go to Stephen Boise. Is that a potato in your pants? What's up, Steve? Hey, what's going on, guys?
Starting point is 00:33:21 What's up, bro? Hey, so first of all, I want to say, I've been in construction a long time, and I haven't been able to listen to you guys now that I'm in sales. I'll see you guys every day, and I love the show. Dude, appreciate you. So now that's out of the way. Thank you, buddy. You got good, my wife.
Starting point is 00:33:36 My wife worked for Alaska Airlines, and she was actually a little bit upset with this story, and mainly because she totally understood why she got fired. So they have some of the strictest policies of any company I've ever been aware of. She's worked with them for a few years. They have a no nicotine policy. They have, you know, obviously no drug policy. But if you even vape or anything, you'll get fired. You sign a union contract.
Starting point is 00:34:09 And it is so intense and crazy to even work there, let alone keep your job there. So this didn't surprise me at all that she got canned. Yeah. And look, is she high? Thanks, Steve. But, and thanks for calling. Thanks for the insight. And Rich, he does say here, it's a sweet potato in his pants.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Oh, okay. And he's also happy to be on the show. But thank you, Steve. She puts one leg up onto the seat. So, and then starts twerking and moving. And it's quick, but still. She does, twerk, turk, twerk. I know, dude.
Starting point is 00:34:41 It's not the worst thing in the world. So that's why I don't think she should be fired. But, you know, she should be maybe warned. suspended for a weekend or something? With policies, Rich, it doesn't really matter the length because you couldn't say effort, effort, effort, effort on our network, you'd still get fired. Let's test it, I'm kidding.
Starting point is 00:35:00 You know what's interesting. There is that balance of, all right, let's not go overboard, but society moves along. I'll give you an example. Next week we're going to be away. We're taking a few days off. I want to be in Mexico. Women's bathing suits now, including my wife.
Starting point is 00:35:16 My wife's booty is going to be out. Are there bathing suits that even cover an ass anymore? Yes, because guess what? I have three sisters and none of them wear stuff like that. What are they grannies? I guess so. But to answer your question, yes, they still make like regular bathing suits. You don't have to have your cheeks out, bro.
Starting point is 00:35:33 I know you like that. Rich is trying to hedge the bet here. So when creepy stuff about him comes out, when he has his only fans, that he could be like, yeah, what a Mr. Progressive. We all like it. We all like women in their bikinis and all that stuff. but there's a time and place. And if you're an NYPD officer.
Starting point is 00:35:52 All right, nerd. You could say that or you can say I'm right. I'm not going to say you're right. But it's a good conversation, and we love your thoughts at Covino and Rich. Now, before we get to Moncee with your sports update, I have an update in the world of just like news. I saw Harvey Levin.
Starting point is 00:36:10 I'm a lawyer. On TMZ just broke some news on the Gene Hackman death. Yo, this is wild. by the way, this is not Imansi's update. Imani, put aside Luca and LeBron for a second. So we all know the sad passing, you know, live the great life, 90-something years old, Gene Hackman and his wife were found dead in the house.
Starting point is 00:36:31 Apparently, the coroner's office and the authorities are now saying his wife passed away on February 11th from a disease. Like a rodent disease. Like some type of infection. Some sort of disease that rodents carry. Yeah. And then he passed away from what they think could be a combination of something Alzheimer-related. And heart disease and Alzheimer's.
Starting point is 00:36:57 They can't tell if it's a heart attack. But sort of saying heart attack without saying. Yeah, we had heard medical emergency. Yeah. So, but on February 18th, which insinuates he lived with Alzheimer's, which is so sad, right, in that house for a week with his wife laying dead there. So they don't know. I didn't hear anything about the dog either, by the way. but so just a very sad weird story but yeah jean hackman apparently the sergeant died seven days after
Starting point is 00:37:25 his wife which means for a week she was just there and he was that's terrible and that's breaking as we speak all right well moncy i don't know if that's part of your update but let's go to moncy for an update hey buddy this is nuts right uh yeah the story that TMZ has as for the dog she had a procedure at the clinic and was in the crate when she was found So maybe the procedure that she, it just all is so awful. Weird story. Very weird story. Thank you for bringing it into our lives.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Oh, let's check in on the NFL, though. Former Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup, who retired last season kind of abruptly intends to make a comeback, according to the latest reports. Now, he was with the Raiders. They actually have released him from that reserve retired list today for that reason to make that comeback. He's still just 29.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Bill's linebacker, Terrell Bernard, has agreed to turn. on a four-year $50 million contract extension. The Titans are releasing outside linebacker Harold Landry, the third, who led the Titans with nine sacks last season. The commanders have released two-time Proble Defensive Tackled Jonathan Allen after failing to find a trade partner. He was with the commanders for eight years. And in the NHL, now this isn't like Luca Donchich going to the Lakers,
Starting point is 00:38:36 but a pretty big trade happened today on the ice ahead of the trade deadline. The Boston Bruins have agreed to trade Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers. And at the Arnold Palmer invitational, Shane Lowry is in the Lauer, lead after round two he is eight under par overall. Wyndham Clark is two shots back. Back to you guys. Yo, B'alanos. Just.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Appreciate you. Yes. Thank you, Monty. Yes. Thank you, Mons. Yeah. And I'll be filling in for you guys while you're on vacation next week. Yay.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Thanks for the warning. Don't do. Don't be too good. Oh, no. I'm going to be real good. Let me tell you, the only person that was ever honest with us, and I'll name drop, we had Barry Zito on our show once, former Giants pitcher, Oakland A,
Starting point is 00:39:16 super dope curveball. and he's a musician as well like Barry Zito, cool guy. Nice guy. We said, listen, dude, when you were on the IL or missed a couple starts, like, did you really want that spot starter to dominate?
Starting point is 00:39:30 And he was straight up honest. He's like, no, you want your team to win those games? He's like, hell no. But like, barely. Yeah, you know, Matsi, we're rooting for you to do good, but like not that good. Yeah, for sure. I guess you.
Starting point is 00:39:40 You and Dan Byer? Yeah. Take it easy. Yeah, take it. We know you're good, but, you know. Yeah. Give me five minutes. things four runs and win.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Got you. Okay. All right. We'll do just that. All right, perfect. We got more coming up. We are going to get to Lakers, Knicks, last night. I don't know if you watch, but Danny G.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Thanks for the heads up. Danny's like, it's starting now. I'm like, perfect. I don't want that to be downplayed because that was part of my conversation. I think that you got to give credit to the guy that tips you off and reminds you that the game is on because hadn't Danny hit me up in that moment, I may have forgotten. I had it on. I was in the bathroom, cleaning up and all that.
Starting point is 00:40:14 And I was like, oh, yeah. Danny's like, yo, man, this is crazy. I was on my way. I got to get back and watch again. I was on my way back from the barbershop. And I was like, oh, Danny G. You're right. All right.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Perfect. Perfect thing to put on in the background tonight. Thank that friend who tips you off. Like if there's a no hitter going on. The game's heating up. Last night that was Danny G. We all have that friend that, you know, you don't want to jinx it, but they'll be like, hey man, you're watching.
Starting point is 00:40:37 It's a sixth inning. You might want to turn it on. Like, you know, you need that friend. And you might have it on, but sometimes you're just not paying attention. You're grilling. You're doing your thing. So, Danny, thank you. We're going to talk about that game.
Starting point is 00:40:47 And the state of the NBA right now is we get closer to the playoffs. More Kavine-on-Ritch. Next right here on Fox Sports Radio. Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, news? Huge news.

Starting point is 00:44:54 Radio. Be sure to check our bonus podcast. A new one debuted yesterday, episode 83. Yeah, I'll watch it after I watch the Love is Blind Weddings tonight. Well, we're going to tell you what you need to watch next hour weekend hobnobbing. Right now we're live at Tyraq.com studios and you You can stream our show, all the Fox Sports Radio shows live 24-7 on the new and improved IHeart Radio app. Just search Fox Sports Radio in the app. Stream us live. And the newest feature is you select Fox Sports Radio as your number one presets, not one of your presets.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Your number one preset, just like your presets on the radio dial. So preset it, Fox Sports Radio. Preset it. It's not Ron Poppeel. It's Covino and Rich. The IHeart. Yes, on the IHeart Radio app. The I heart radio have my favorite app other than Loaded Nachos.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Yeah. Moncie, are you watching Love is Blind wedding episode tonight? Oh, I can't wait. Dan Byer asked me to fill in for him today, and then I realized that the episode was released. I was like, I messed up. I should be at home right now watching this wedding episode. They released them at 3 a.m. East Coast time, so it was released last night at midnight, and my wife was dozing off.
Starting point is 00:46:03 I'm like, come on. It hasn't been like that, hasn't? At midnight? I feel like in the past, midnight West Coast. They did it at like noon the next day. Why? Does it get better? I was going to say, I've been dozing off this entire season.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Yeah, I was falling asleep the whole time. I mean, other than that loser Dave, no offense. Sorry, Dave. Dave. But it must get better if you're that pumped about the reunion. Well, I just want to say, no, the weddings are today. The reunions next week. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:46:26 So you saw it, Rich? No, I've not. Oh, you have not. Okay. I'm just, I don't know who's actually going to say I do. There's one guy on the show. And we're going to get to Lakers in sports. Don't worry.
Starting point is 00:46:36 But if you do watch a stupid show, there's a guy, Dave. Yes. That makes the girl, he, matched up with? Feel so bad for, I don't know, existing before this show? Unreal. Like, you know what people use the word gaslighting? I hate it? Because that word makes me want to
Starting point is 00:46:50 throw up in my mouth. I feel like it's in before gas. Or was it just manipulating? Yeah, manipulate. But Rich, I don't like either of them because he straight up asked her in the pods what her last relationship was. But that's not a relationship. Okay, but she didn't end. Also, you don't know if she said that. We don't know if she did mention. She did. No, she
Starting point is 00:47:07 said that she left it open ended. She didn't She didn't close it off with the guy that she was messing around with. If you watch a stupid show, you'll get it. If not, we're moving on. But I've never... This has been the argument and drama from the season. I've never seen a grown man in my life care more about what his sister thinks. A little bit uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:47:26 It's like uncomfortable. Yes, it is. You don't love it. Your sister, you weird? He even had to say like, no, no, she doesn't control me, but like she said I could go on the show. What? Yeah, I got to see it. Cuckoooooooooooo.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Yeah, they're all cuckoo. Rich also doesn't really care much about what any. of his family members think. I haven't seen this episode, so I don't know how drastic it is. I'm a grown man. Kavino says things sometimes like, what would my mother think? I'm like, you're in your 40s. Rich, I said this out loud too, but Brenda said, well, his mom died when he was younger,
Starting point is 00:47:54 and so his sister has kind of been like the mom to him. I mean, you're supposed to kill what your parents think, dude. They don't control your decisions, but there's, you know, again, boundaries and things you don't cross because your parents are alive, are they not? They are. So are you just going to do things and not care that you're. You're still their son and you're a family member. You don't want to represent your name in a certain way.
Starting point is 00:48:15 The minute your parents have gone, you're going to do an only fence? Maybe. But I wouldn't do things to embarrass my family because I know you don't care, but it's called respect. I don't get it. But this is going on the show is not embarrassing. I know. I haven't seen this episode. Well, even if it had dropped earlier last night, we wouldn't have watched it because of the Lakers and the Knicks.
Starting point is 00:48:34 You know the, we got to talk about that. And that overtime was sick. You know a beefcake Tarzan looking guy? guy on the show? Yes. Joey is it? I think it's Joey. Yeah, it sounds right. He matched up with a girl who has the worst sister in the world. And
Starting point is 00:48:49 the crazy part is to care about what your siblings think about and stuff. What are you about to say? What are you about to say? The girl goes, she says this phrase, it's the most ridiculous. She goes, the girl that was in the pods goes to her sister. It's not like I went into this blind and it's like, that's exactly
Starting point is 00:49:06 what you did. Love is blind. That's the show. Love is blind. Anyway, watch stupid shows. We'll go over what to watch in weekend hobnobbing, but forget stupid reality. Last night, might have been the best regular season NBA game this year. You can argue.
Starting point is 00:49:20 You can argue. Sports is the best reality TV. Yeah, that is. Let me tell you, there was an OKC Cleveland game earlier in the year that was, you know, the two best teams and they battled. But last night, it felt like a playoff environment. Because I had come from the barbershop when my barber had the NBA on. we watched the lamest Sixers Celtics game.
Starting point is 00:49:40 I don't even know why that was on. It was in the second half, I was like, are the Sixers playing? There's a game going on. But to be fair, that's how most games feel. Not all games feel like that Knicks-Lakers game. Sure, but the Sixers Celtics game, like nobody was playing. It was Jason Tatum and that's it. No, I get it.
Starting point is 00:49:57 And he was not memorable. It was... It was boring. But still, that's how I feel watching most games up until a certain point in the season. And the Knicks Lakers really turned it on. because it was a good high-stakes game and a statement game of where these teams really are. And that's why there was intrigue there. And that's why both teams came out wanting to prove that they're legit.
Starting point is 00:50:18 When you look into some of these players' eyes through the TV screen, I'm looking at you, Jalen Brunson. No, but there are guys that play. In your eyes. You could see they're playing with a playoff level intensity. And I think I texted Danny. He goes, don't forget, Lakers next. I go, this is a really good test for both of these teams.
Starting point is 00:50:34 And they both probably felt that. way like, all right, this is a great barometer of where we are with the playoffs approaching shortly. Let me tell you, what a freaking game. And Luca and LeBron, I, you know, when you gain a confidence, you know when a baseball player is so hot, they say it looks like the ball's a beach ball coming in. They must feel like, I don't know if anyone could beat us. It's also LeBron, 100% trusting his teammate. I think it's, it's not the first time, but But I've never seen him defer to this level. Okay, so exactly, right?
