This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.
Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes
for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, what's good, y'all?
You're listening to Learn the Hard Way with your favorite therapist and host Keer Games.
This space is about black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing.
How many men carry a suit or armor.
It signals to the world that you're not to be played with.
And just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to.
Listen and learn the hard way on the AHA radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever reported on.
A Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman.
Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud.
But how long can this alliance last?
Tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?
Listen to Kingdom of Fraud on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, thanks for listening to the Covino Enrich podcast.

Yeah.
Who's ready for some tacos on this Tuesday?
Taco!
LeBron is.
It's going to be a fiesta here on the show.
Covino and Rich.
Lots to get to broadcasting live from the Tyraq.com studio.
Tyraq.com will help you get there in unmatched selection.
You're right?
Fastly shipping.
Free Road hazard protection over 10,000 recommended installers.
Oh, yeah, it's right.
Tirec.com.
A tire buying should be.
Iowa Samuel.
Do you have the LeBron Taco Tuesday?
drop? Because if he do,
it got me thinking.
Wasn't that when he invited Anthony Davis
to their first taco night together?
You think he invites Luca?
You would hope so, right? Is Luca going to experience
his first taco Tuesday? He's done everything else
right.
And we'll explain. We got last
one standing your chance to win some prizes
today on the show. A very special Tuesday
edition of the nation's
favorite game. Last one standing. Danny G.
got it all prepared. Do you believe?
leave Jason Kelsey with his mixed emotions about the Super Bowl.
We'll talk about that. The best athletes of all time, they make the best wrestlers.
Because someone made a cameo. Word up last night.
Can't wait.
At Raw. Lots to get to. Again, I'm Steve Kavino. That is Rich Davis, a CNN on FSR.
And why is Kavino like Aaron Rogers?
Why? I'll explain.
Oh, geez.
Well, he returned from New Orleans.
Dan Byer today on the updates, Dan picking all the confetti out of every crevice.
Every crevice?
Every crevice.
Man, clown.
I saw the dude.
Sounds like a dirty job.
Let Mike Roe handle that.
I saw on social media.
Did you see confetti guy?
That's his job.
At the end of the Super Bowl.
He has to pick it all up.
No, that's a different job.
What a pain in the ass.
That would be.
You missed the one.
There's a guy who you see scrambling around,
and he has huge-ass plastic bags of the different colors,
depending on who wins.
This one, obviously, they could have picked the confetti in the first quarter.
But the green, silver, and white confetti, he's the guy that just shoves in in those big fans.
And that's his job.
He feverishly is like, like, throwing into confetti.
Wow.
It's a cool-ass job, right?
Dumbish job, but it is kind of important.
What is his business card say?
How do that confetti shove her?
Honestly.
Confetti tycooned.
Honestly?
Confetti expert.
But picture a guy.
Celebration expert.
Picture a guy feverishly taking handful
of confetti and throwing it in that Mando
fan like
you know that is a visual I never even
thought of that is so funny dude
again that's Rich Davis one day he'll be a confetti guy
one day guys remember to check out Fox Sports Radio's
YouTube channel tons of great videos from last week's
Super Bowl we were live from Nolan's
search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube
see a bunch of our video highlights with
Bejohn Robinson
Page Sparanic, Kurt Schilling,
Seal and Debo.
Lots of videos on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.
Here's something I want everyone to look at.
The video of us with Paige Spirannic,
I want you,
people watched that whole interview and didn't even realize we were there.
I want you to give me a pat on the back
for my eye control.
I looked her in the eyes the whole time.
That is impressive.
You know what?
I'll give you a round of a place for that.
I'll give you a high five.
And if you see the video, you'll be, you know,
it'll make sense why I deserve a round of a podcast.
Yeah, still recovering, in fact, from an amazing week in New Orleans.
Not to justify, but I do want to explain.
Like, I sound like Ray Romano, like all stuffed up.
Hey, it's me, Ray Romano.
It's not Romano and Rich Show.
It's Kavino.
I'm just so stuffed up.
I got sick in New Orleans.
I feel a lot better now, though.
I feel so much better.
But I'm still all stuffed up.
think I caught the black lung.
So my choices were to sit around in the fetal position or come here and hang out with you guys.
I chose to hang out with you.
Well, as we get into last night, the Lakers and Luca, I want to bring up one quick observation I made.
Sure.
As we all got back into town after the Super Bowl, it was really fun hanging with the whole Fox Sports Radio crew.
Got to hang with Rob and Kelvin a little bit.
Got to see DB, Jay Stu hanging around.
It was honestly, Levar.
I feel like there was a point where Levar and I were doing like a two-man show in the lobby for people.
He just hangs out in the hotel lobby the whole time with no shoes on.
That guy's hilarious.
Come on now.
He makes himself at home in the lobby.
Shoes are off.
Anytime you went down in the lobby, there's Levar.
Shoes off, having a cocktail.
Love that guy.
That's his scene.
So we get back after a long week of eating, drinking, schmoozing, having a lot of fun.
Doing fun shows.
Doing fun shows.
Like, again, check all the videos on the YouTube page.
And I come home and I'm like, oh, what a fat piece of garbage, I feel like.
I got to hit the gym a little extra hard.
There's Girl Scout cookies waiting because it's that season.
So I'm like, now on top of this?
Now you've got to battle the Samoa's calling your name.
My wife's like, babe, there's three boxes of thinnments in the freezer.
Now there's two.
Now there's one.
So I'm like, you know what?
I got to hit the gym.
Maybe I'll go before the show today.
And this is a reminder.
Wow, new routine?
if you need a change of scenery,
I just came back from the gym
in between our podcast and doing the Fox Sports Show.
Great.
You know what it's like?
He comes in all sweaty
like you in history class in high school
after gym.
Remember in gym?
You'd have gym.
You'd be playing volleyball.
You'd be going all out in gym class
playing basketball.
Then he'd have to go to social studies
with a sweaty ass.
That's rich right now.
So that's great.
We reap all the benefits of Rich's swassy ass.
He goes to the gym
and then he comes here to hang out with us.
That's awesome.
they stay. Sometimes, it's nice to change it up. You see a whole new group of people like,
who's that piece of booty on the treadmill? Who's that weird guy? That's a little less crowded.
Didn't control your eyes at the gym, I see.
I did you point at me when you said weird guy. You pointed directly like, who's that weird guy?
Hey, look that how it looks like Sam. Look at that weird guy. But you know what? Sometimes if you're in a
run, maybe change around the schedule because my wife and I were saying that, listen,
Sometimes when you are in a rut professionally personally anything mix up to schedule
but maybe go to the gym at a different time or as Fred would say shake it up and it might be
it up might be time to shake it up but let's get into it you know who shook it up the
Lakers making one of the biggest trades in their franchise's history and last night was huge
a big time debut for Luca not necessarily on the court but
everything from the intro to LeBron embracing him,
I want to start by saying anyone that doubts LeBron James' leadership is a damn fool.
Oh, he's playing everything right.
And you got to appreciate that.
Danny G., you got to appreciate that.
I love the little pregame speech of don't fit in, fit the F out, as he said.
Yeah, that's what he said in the little huddle.
Be yourself.
And you know what?
when you saw Team USA at the Olympics,
what did every veteran superstar all say?
They were beside themselves when it came to LeBron's work ethic,
his training, what a leader he is,
yet us his idiotic fans still doubt this guy.
It's fascinating to me.
And he's going to lead by example,
a great role model for Luca.
What's Luca's biggest criticism?
His conditioning, the way he treats his body.
And the reason LeBron is who he is,
is because he treats his body
like a well-oiled machine.
Like a temple, right? Like a temple. Yes.
Millions of dollars invested on staying in shape
and being that guy and that's given him
the longevity and the health. So
if Luca just learns by his
leadership, that's amazing. And that's what you want.
I think LeBron has done everything
right so far. It's good to see.
You know, he's welcoming
the new guy. And
the don't fit in, fit the
F out. It makes
no sense grammatically, but makes
perfect sense when you think about it.
It's like, be you. Don't try
to fit in with us. Just be you because
you're great the way you are. Just ball
out and be Luca. And
we're going to love it. Like, we'll fit in
around you. You're the guy. So
it's also LeBron saying like, you're
the dude. Just do what you do.
And that's
an honor in itself.
You know, and like I said, it doesn't make sense like the ceiling is
the roof. Like the ceiling is the roof doesn't make
sense, but you know what it means, right?
So I like that. F out?
He loves him just the way you are.
Yeah, he doesn't need to fit in.
He just needs to be Luca and ball out.
Shouldn't you preface that with a please get fit first?
Yeah, right?
And no in and out, buddy.
But you know what?
Don't fit in, get fit.
I thought it was also a very cool.
Again, a leadership move by LeBron to say, yeah, yeah, I get it.
Usually I'm the one that's last to be introduced.
Place goes nuts.
LeBron James.
He said, no, no.
That's not more like the SNL guy.
LeBron James.
Musical guest, Mandy Moore.
I feel like you gave it an S&L.
Hosting Machine Gun Kelly.
It's almost like Captain Crunch-ish.
Yeah, you gave it that.
You gave it a little bit of that.
You know, it did dawn on me.
Well, what a solid move that was, right?
For LeBron to, I mean, also an obvious one.
I don't give too much credit.
That's the least LeBron has done on this guy's debut.
He's a star in his own right.
Yeah, but to give him the last intro?
And the other guard
Where's number 77?
6-7.
Seventh campaign
from Slovia
Luca Dodgers.
Also makes me realize
I might need to be the new Laker PA guy.
Give me a little oof.
Do the S&L bit.
You got it.
He's been the Laker PA man for like 40 years.
It's tough to change, Danny.
Bring me in there.
I'll do my best SNL.
Number 77.
Luca,
Dodge,
But you know what?
You're too hyped out, man.
Yeah, you're too hyped.
You'd annoy everybody out the arena.
I'm annoying myself.
I'm going to take a breather.
But I did think about this last night.
It dawned on me.
Danny G., did you have this thought, too?
Like, they really rolled out the carpet for Luca.
Everybody in attendance got a 77 jersey.
He was all draped on the chair.
Like Oprah was in charge, man.
You got a jersey.
You got a jersey.
Everybody got a jersey.
And I wonder how that makes.
LeBron feel like, wow, man.
Did everyone get a jersey when I showed up?
I don't remember that.
I don't think LeBron needs more accolades.
I think at this point.
But do they have to like sort of run it by him a little bit?
Like, hey, LeBron, we mean no offense.
Like, is it that kind of relationship?
I don't think so.
I think we're beyond that because he didn't even know about the trade.
We're at a point now where LeBron is a legend, but the Lakers are thinking beyond
LeBron James and the fact that they have his leadership to bring Luca in the
mix.
and from what I watched,
I didn't watch a whole game, but from what I watched,
it seemed like if the Lakers have LeBron or Luca
or both on the court at any given time,
that is something that,
that opens it up for Austin Reeves even more.
So honestly, if your concern is LeBron and then Luca,
and then at times, LeBron and Luca,
Reeves is just the guy.
And did he have the most points?
No, LeBron had 24 points last night.
Reeves had 22 points.
I did watch the game because I felt like,
you got to watch him.
history, right? Well, I got to see him make his first shot. It makes his first three.
Props to him was a big moment. Danny G., what were your thoughts watching everything? Because you're
the lifelong Lakers guy. How did you feel watching us? Remember last week when we read the quotes
from LeBron when he said it, it felt it didn't feel real that it had happened that the trade
took place? Last night, watching them together, it almost felt like a little mini all-star team.
And it was almost surreal in a way. As a Lakers fan, I was like, is this really happening right now?
Like, yeah, I'm going to miss AD because he was one of my favorite players.
But to watch those two out there on the court at the same time.
And then a lot of people forget how they acquired Finney Smith and how well Rui has been playing.
And some of the guys off the Lakers bench right now that are fan favorites, they got a really nice squad.
And remember, we're just removed, a couple of years removed from the Lakers really struggling as far as depth goes.
So now to have what we have in front of us at the moment is pretty amazing.
Hachimura had 21 points.
And it looked like they were having fun last night, too, right?
It really did, yeah.
And it was wild to see, like Danny G said, superstars.
The Utah Jazz, they were getting clobbered because they don't get a break.
You know, you had LeBron, like I said, LeBron and Luca out there together.
Then LeBron comes out.
Luca goes in.
Luca goes out.
LeBron comes in.
It was no breaks for the Utah Jazz.
They had no shot.
I mean, granted, they're 12 and 40, but the Lakers looked dominant last night.
And that's just their first game together.
they're going to be better and better.
You know, interestingly enough,
LeBron has been part of so many winning teams,
but, you know, the 2020 bubble champion champion.
LeBron James.
With him and AD, Don Fardo.
He passed away, didn't he?
He passed away in 2014 at the age of 96.
Yeah, I remember that.
Legend. His voice was the best.
Oh, he was amazing.
But AD and LeBron won the bubble chip that some people criticize.
I think it's equally or more impressive
in some aspects.
Point is, since then, Danny,
we've known you for three, four years now.
There's been a couple seasons where
are the Lakers going to sneak into the playing game?
Are the Lakers, like, they're floating around 500?
This is no longer a float around 500.
Maybe they'll make noise in the playoffs team.
This is a, all right, they're top tier team.
It would almost be disappointing
if they didn't make a deep run or go all the way.
Yeah, and you just have to be worried a little bit
about when they go up against maybe the nuggets
or a team that has more size.
Oh, the nuggets?
One thing.
Luca will eat them.
Don't worry about it.
But maybe they can outscore those teams.
And I did like reading a story yesterday about Jackson Hayes.
He's really the only true center that could be a starter on the team right now
when that Williams trade fell through.
But I read that Luca and Hayes,
Hayes was the first one who took him out to dinner when Luca got to town.
Because the two of them were kind of buddies in the past.
Luca used to tell him when Hayes was on the New Orleans Pelicans,
hey, dude, we got to play together sometime, you and me.
So the two of them had joked around prior saying that they wanted to play together.
And so you see Jackson Hayes hopefully stepping up to fill that big man role that the team's really going to need.
Danny G. Rich, Sam, I had to mansplain, with all due respect,
I had to mansplain to my girlfriend last night, the significance of the trade.
She's like, you're watching the Lakers?
I'm like, well, football's over.
I got to shift my focus.
You know me?
Lakers guy.
But it's Bachelor night.
I'm like, you know what?
Honestly, Bachelor took a back seat, Lucas debut.
So I was trying to explain to her the importance.
And obviously she knew everybody knows that the trade happened.
Did you mansplain mansplaining to her?
I did.
I said, let me mansplain.
She's like, what's that?
I said, well, let me mansplain.
And I was like, they traded AD, great defensive star for Luca,
one of the biggest stars of now of today, he's 25.
years old, whole future ahead of them. So the Mavericks got AD, but he's hurt now, right? And he
could be out for a month. She's like, oh, my God. And I'm like, but Luke is a superstar,
international star. How did they let him go? And I'm trying to explain it to her, and I can see it's
not sinking in. So I put it in terms that she might understand. I was like, it's like the
Lakers getting a Louis Vuitton bag for a coach bag. And she was like, oh.
But Dallas might have too many Louis Vuittons and really want to coach him.
Right.
I was like, it's like trading your Barbie doll and getting the Skipper.
Remember Skipper?
Like the little ugly sister?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my God.
I'm like, yeah, and not that AD's like, you know, ugly and bad.
He's great, but he's older and he's hurt and everything.
But also, Barbie not going to the gym as much.
Right, right.
Yeah, exactly.
So, you know, I was trying to find all these ways to explain.
I think it eventually sunk in.
And, you know, the significance and the importance of something that we hadn't seen before,
which is why we had to tune in and take some notes.
And, dude, Luca ended up with 14 points and they still clobbered them.
Yeah, he only played 23 minutes because we have them limited a little bit coming off his injury.
By the way, I almost feel like that should be a new segment because I enjoyed that.
Kavino mansplains.
Yeah, I mean, she gets her sports, but she didn't understand like why it was such a big deal that I had to be watching,
eating popcorn to see this moment, you know?
and everyone got a jersey.
I'm like, Luca's a big deal,
and they got rid of a big deal.
Who's, well, he's not as good,
but he's good in a different way.
Defensive, he's a big star, but he's not like,
as Mark Cuban tried to explain when he was on stage recently.
Did you guys see that clip?
He said, it's like trading Windows 11 for Windows 10.
He's like, 10's a Hall of Famer,
but 11's right now if it was up to him,
and he tried to put in a last-minute phone call saying,
please don't trade Luca and it had already taken place.
They verbally agreed over the phone already.
And we had questioned what influence Mark Cuban still had.
Because he's still involved, right?
But he's by no means decision.
Yeah, arm length away.
Yeah.
You know what?
Mark Cuban would not have let that happen.
Because Mark Cuban, remember didn't Mark Cuban when he was quoted as saying he's more likely to get divorced?
Yeah.
Than part ways with Luca.
So that's how you knew Mark Cumans.
Paul is just, you know, he's outside looking in now.
He's part of it, but not.
So your thoughts, did LeBron do everything right?
Again, he told him, don't fit in, fit the NFL, and get fit while you're at it.
That part I added.
But I think it proves the point.
You know, we often question when you're the new guy at the office,
is it the new guy's job to introduce himself to everybody else and make,
them feel welcome? No, it's everyone else's job to make the new guy feel welcome, right?
The new guy needs to be open to it and he needs to put his best foot forward.
But it's like when we started here at Fox Sports, yeah, we got some dirty looks.
I know that.
But we put our best foot forward and most people were very welcoming.
And that.
Yeah, and you brought free tacos.
And we brought tacos.
Yeah, exactly.
That's what the new guy has to do.
That's what the new guy has to do.
But the veterans in the building, which is LeBron and everybody else.
on the team. They have to be
welcoming at the same time.
And I think they did a great job of that.
Not only as a team as a city
last night for Luca welcoming
the new guy.
When you talk about whose job is it, think about
the most recent new guy here at Fox Sports Radio.
The odd couple, Kelvin.
Yeah. He enters a mix.
Really great guy. He brings in donuts.
Hey, I'm the new guy.
He just brought a good positive vibe.
But I think it was all of our job also to be like,
yeah, dude, welcome to the team. Welcome to the team.
And that's, that's in every office.
Don't you remember when I told them not to fit in, to fit the F out?
Remember that?
You said that?
Yeah, I made that.
I made that up.
Yeah, you didn't say that.
I did.
LeBron got it from me.
But, no, that's another great example.
You never met Dr. Martin Luther King.
I did.
I did meet Martin Luther King.
No, but everybody around here, because we're a great team, that's what great teams do, made
him feel welcome.
Now, we still got last one standing.
We got to talk Jason Kelsey.
Man, Aaron Rogers in the news.
and what?
Why is Kavino like Aaron Rogers?
We got to get to this next
because there's a ton of Aaron Rogers news
and I feel like you and him.
Meanwhile, you don't do...
Same cat.
You don't do ayahuasca.
No.
You guys are weirdos in a few ways
and I'll explain why.
Coming from the weirdest guy, I know.
Also, we're going to come back
with a Super Bowl rhyme reel,
a recap from my buddy Nick Javis.
So stick around.
More Kavino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing.
a bit for the podcast for people could call in and say, Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential
title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman helped make you funny.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and headwriter, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Back in business is jabbed and gifted, had to dust the mic off to rap statistics.
Some other rappers did this, but not like Nick.
Let's sit it down.
Original now.
Let's get it now.
Live from the NO, Eagles and Chiefs.
Should have been a battle, wasn't even a beef.
And it was over tight quick.
Dots into the one
And a tush push
Put the birds up on Mike Fick
Then a nice pick on the day of his birth
Cooper from the 38 all the way to pay dirt
And AJ from herchers
It's already a slaughter
24 zip after two French quarters
Green stayed hot even after K died
A bomb from 46 to Devante Smith
Eagles up 34 near the end of the third
And finally a chief score
Pat will get it to worthy
Two more late made the score look decent
But it wasn't even close
Philly D.
Deet was beast and picks back to back a six pack of sacks attacking Patrick.
Quarterback harassment.
Match with passion.
Can't sit back when your tackle backs in.
Pocket fast collapsing.
From Broad Street bullies to Bourbon Street killers.
Birds, bowed, about it, about it.
Word to P. Miller.
Super Bowl, Rime Real recap, Nick Javis,
who's wrapped with everyone from Snoop Dogg to Lupe Fiasco.
You remember him from those Pepsi Max NFL Audibles.
Thanks for the rhyme real. Nick is Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio.
And by the way, check his social media if you want to see the video for that.
Nick Javis, J-A-V-A-S.
And I'll be posting it later at Steve Covino, at Covino and Rich and everything at Fox Sports Radio.
Now, this week, speaking to the Eagles, the parade in Philadelphia on Valentine's Day.
Happy Valentine's Papa.
Imagine that decision.
Imagine some guy or girl has a pain in the ass spouse or significant other.
It's like, it's Valentine's Day.
Imagine some guy has a pain in the ass girlfriend or spouse.
Yeah, I can imagine that.
Okay.
Yeah.
Do you know about Philly women, though?
Philly women are sports fans?
Yeah, bigger fans than their boyfriends or their husbands.
No doubt.
Honestly, like, I'll stereotype all day.
East Coast women seem to be way passionate.
Yeah.
Compared to women I've met out here on the West Coast.
Like, Philly, for example, you're right.
Wives and girlfriends just as passionate.
So that parade on Friday is going to be pretty wild.
Please behave yourself, Philly fans.
I saw what happened on Broad Street after they won.
And they were, and like I've always defended Philly, but they were ridiculous.
They were like breaking windows.
There's going to be no more streetlights.
People don't realize.
Tearing down streetlights.
Like, come on, what are we doing here?
I was talking about confetti guy at the Super Bowl that throws all the confetti in.
People don't know.
Cheese steak Sammy.
Yeah.
You know what Iowa Sam's job was once?
He was the guy that lubed up the telephone pole so they couldn't climb him in the Philly.
Really?
They called them Loub boy.
Louboy.
Yeah, that's a weird job.
Louboy.
I was on his resume.
Is that why you have such slippery fingers when you're hitting the buttons?
Exactly.
So Iowa Sam's on the ones and twos.
Danny G is super produced at 87799 on Fox.
Dan Byers got your updates in just a few minutes.
All of our videos at Covino and Rich.
I'm Steve Covino.
That is Rich Davis.
And speaking of Foozball, got to talk Aaron Rogers next.
Before we do, I got to ask Dan Byer who had some great footage,
video and pictures down on the field, representing Fox Sports Radio.
Always cool to see DB.
part in that. Dan, at any point, did you see, did you see Taylor Swift? She didn't go down,
obviously, they lost. Were you, uh, didn't see her at all? No, not at one point. I couldn't tell
you what sweet she sat in. I don't know if she was, because our media seats were in the upper
level, but did not see her at all. Surprisingly, we didn't see her much on TV either because there's
nothing to cheer for. And also, President Trump, I remember the story at the end of last week was
sweet tickets were going up in price, but.
people wanted to be in the suite next to either Trump or Taylor.
And I'm curious if they were actually even close.
They didn't show either one, which was shocking.
I thought the overrun there was going to be like 10 times on each of them.
Yeah.
They did in the stadium, which I think was a story that you guys heard when they showed President Trump.
Yeah.
And Taylor got the booed.
Yeah. Eagles fans being loud.
But that was, they do it once.
And what they do is where you see like at the garden, you know, the Knicks just do
cele after celib we like to do with the Lakers.
Here they would do a celeb and then they would
do the common fan. So it would be mixed up.
You wouldn't just get like eight celebrities in a row. You would get
like one or two and then you would get
just common fans waving.
You know, what's so funny? The fact
that Donald Trump, by the way, I'm not a Trump hater
by any means, but I thought it was a little
odd that he put on
social media like no one had a worse day than
Taylor Swift. The fact that he
even, I mean, he says a lot of dumb things.
What do you like him or not? That's very funny.
Right.
That he even addressed.
They're like, no one had to wear a day and Taylor Swift.
Really?
I don't know about you, but I'm using a plastic straw today.
So.
You know what?
I can get behind that and I can get behind getting rid of the penny.
Who he needs a penny?
Ben Mallor does.
Oh, yeah.
What is Ben Mallor going to do?
I know, right?
Benny.
Rich, they did show Trump once pregame when we were saluting the country.
Nice.
Yeah, and you heard the crowd erupt.
They reacted.
I don't know if it was.
I don't know if it was eruption.
All positive, but the crowd lit up.
You definitely heard it.
So speaking of football, our very own Diana Rusini, who we saw at Super Bowl.
Did she your girlfriend or something?
Our very own friend, yeah.
That's really what I was getting at.
You mean our old pal?
Our old pal.
She is always on her grind.
We did work with her at ESPN, and she was super cool always.
So it was nice to see her.
So our very own pal.
We saw her a couple times.
In fact, one of the, one of the,
good pals we took away from our time at ESPN back in the day.
And she was sort of responsible for breaking this story.
And I was Sam, if you want to just roll it, she talked about Aaron Rogers and where
things may have gone wrong with the Jets. Take a listen.
When they had conversations with Aaron Rogers about what the future would look like,
if you're going to be part of this team, you're going to attend all the training camp.
You're not going to do Pat McAfee interviews anymore.
Wait, they said that?
Yeah. If you were to stay here, here's how we would want it to be. So this to me is Aaron Glenn getting control back.
So do you think that if he would have agreed to not do that stuff, that he would have been their quarterback?
I think that no matter what the Jets were going to say, Aaron Rogers wanted to move on.
So the Jets made it clear if you want to return no more mispractices, no more McAfee appearances, no more, you know, Aaron Rogers' antics, you know, none of that.
And what I think is going on here is them sort of forcing him out.
I call it offers you can't accept.
It's like when a job low balls you and you can't accept it because it's insulting.
So it's not like you're fired.
Probably offered you a job.
Exactly.
And Rich and I have been there.
It's like in our previous employer, we weren't technically fired.
And I would always defend that.
We weren't fired.
We weren't let go.
We got an offer we couldn't accept.
and it's just the company's way of making you, forcing you to make that decision.
You know what it's like?
It's like a girl.
You ever been in a relationship where you're too much of a coward to break up with someone
and you're like, I'm just going to make it so annoying?
I'll be such a terrible guy that she dumps me.
I've been on the receiving end where I'm like, I think she just wants me to dump her.
Zach Morris did that once in an episode of Save the Bill.
Well, Zach Morris is trash.
That's why.
Like Rich Davis.
Yeah.
Zach Morris is trash.
Yeah.
But it's true that we were at a former.
employer and they gave us the weakest.
They're like, hey guys, you know, we're going through COVID times.
What do you say you take a pay cut with a non-compete?
And it's like, well, that just makes zero sense.
Significant pay cut, cutting down like the hours.
You know, not everybody would be involved the same way.
And you're like, well, why would I do that?
So they're forcing you to make a decision.
And in a lot of ways, that's what I'm getting from this.
They're going to tell Aaron Rogers, who again, he's been doing sort of what he's wanted to do his whole career.
Now all of a sudden, he has these restrictions and he can't do what he wants.
And like, I don't see that viving with him at all at this stage of his career.
So he's forced to then say, nah, I'll take my talents elsewhere.
So the question is, did the Jets play, I'm going to make you dump me move?
Which we've all been in.
You might have to think back to high school or college,
but I think we've all been in a scenario where it's like,
yeah, this person, this person's forcing my hand.
They're not doing it.
But, and now the question is, well, what's he going to do next?
And it's a speculation of, well, is he done now?
But his former teammate Aaron Jones said today that he's definitely not done.
He thinks he still has a lot in the tank and he still has a lot to prove.
So then there's that conversation.
But I'm still dying to hear how he's like,
me. So maybe you can tell us.
Aaron Rogers
is like Steve Covino.
I'll tell you exactly
how after Dan Byers' update
D.
Oh, come on.
B. B. B. B. Damn
buyer in the house. What's up, Dan?
Kellen Moore's the new head coach of the New Orleans Saints
at 36 years old. It becomes the youngest
active head coach in the NFL.
And he's starting to fill out his staff as well.
Reports say that Brandon Staley,
the former Chargers head coach, could
be the guy to be the Saints
defensive coordinator. Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham told WIP in Philadelphia,
he's going to take some time before deciding on whether to enter retirement or play another
season. Graham thought his career was over when he had a torn triceps muscle this season,
but was well enough to return for Super Bowl 59, now says that he still has some stuff
left in the tank and may not hang them up. Super Bowl champion Eagles will have their parade
and rally on Friday expected at least a million people in attendance in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia. News of the NBA, free agent center, Alex Lenn, was set to sign with the Indiana Pacers, but he's changed his mind. He's going to be a Laker.
While the Toronto Raptors and forward Brandon Ingram have agreed to terms on a three-year extension with $120 million.
Pelicans will be shutting Herb Jones down for the rest of the season. He's been out since January because of a torn labrum in his shoulder.
31-year-old closer, Kenley Janssen signed a one-year $10 million deal with the Angels. And finally, the Dodgers and 36-year.
year old and soon to be 37 year old Clayton
Kershaw have agreed on a contract.
The three-time Syong Award winner
had been working out with the team leading up to
today's signing. They'll make it official
once he passes his physical. Guys, back
to you. Oh, thanks, Dan Byer. Thank you,
D.B. So how is Kavino?
Like Aaron Rogers?
No shocking revelation.
I'm dying to find out because I feel like I don't have anything in common
with that guy. Aaron Rogers and you
are cut from the same cloth
in that
When someone tells you to do something and pushes enough, it just makes you want to do it even less.
There was another athlete or someone we talked to.
I got it.
I got it.
We just talked to Jim Lampley.
Yes.
And I asked him about, hey, Jim.
Back to you, Jim.
Do you think we'll ever get that Canelo Benavitas fight?
And he explained that Canelo is a stubborn Mexican kid.
and the more you push him
and the more you
push Benavitas at him, the less
he wants to do it. He doesn't need to do it.
He doesn't need to prove to anybody. So the more it's
brought up, the less likely he is
to give you that fight. If you talk
Kavino, hey bro, we're all out with coworkers
at a karaoke bar. Yo, Kavino,
hop up there, do a song.
Yeah, right. Picture that. But
he might. If it's my decision.
If you asked him more than once,
the more you bother him, the likelihood goes down.
Yeah, I don't know what that is.
It's not like a quality that I'm proud of or anything.
It's honestly how my instincts work.
It's like, all right, now you've built this up to be even more than it should be
and you're making something out of it and I don't like it.
Like if it was my decision to go out there and bust a move
or go out there and tell a joke or go out there and sing a song,
I'll do that spontaneously.
But now that you like put this pressure on me, now I don't want to do it.
If you said, hey, we're at an event.
You, pass the mic to Kavino, say a few words.
If you told him more than ones like, come on, bro, every time you say come on bro,
now not.
Never will he do it.
This is the reason Kovino still hasn't watched shrinking on Apple TV.
You're all right.
Because Rich has hammered it so much.
I'm like, now he's not going to watch it for sure.
Deep down, yeah, you're so right about that.
It's weird.
It's not like a deliberate thing, right?
That's just sort of my default setting and how it works.
So I get what you're saying with Aaron.
Rogers. I do understand what you're saying here.
If Danny G.
You said shrinking on Apple TV.
I did. Spot started it, raved
about it. We have a group of a group chat that we're on.
A bunch of dudes, Kavino
respects are all like, bro, for real, great
show. The fact that more
than once, I was like, come on, bro, watch it.
Yeah, now it looks like I gave in.
Like, get out of here. So in
other words, to make it clear, Aaron Rogers,
if someone's telling
Aaron Rogers, Bonafide
superstar in the league, what
to do what he can and can't do.
It's probably going to make him say, well,
then I'm out of here.
If our boss, Don or Scott was like, guys,
we're going to reopen your contract,
Fat New Deal. Crush your fingers for that.
I like that idea, right? Sounds good to me.
But if Scott and Don
deliver the contract and they said,
My man, one caveat,
one rub.
Kavino, you can't wear
Yankee hats on the air.
To me, that would be no big deal, but the fact that they said
Well, who likes to be told what to do like that?
Well, God, hold on now because I want to win my Yankee hat.
Like, if Don said, here is doubling your salary, but, you know, no Yankee gear, that would be a problem for a guy like Kavina.
All right.
Well, your thoughts on Aaron Rogers plus last one standing.
We got more Kavito and Rich next.
All right.
Now, we are not weathermen.
Though Weather Adam is great.
I love that guy on social media.
But we do know a thing of true about driving.
You could have Weather Adam.
I'll take you, Nett Garcia.
No, you could take Stormfield.
Yeah, okay.

But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Yeah, I think I came down with something over in New Orleans.
I got such a stuff he knows, man.

Thank you for hanging out with us.
We got last one standing next hour, giving away some prizes.
but this whole Aaron Rogers thing
Honestly
I think he
Take some decongestant
Why?
Just do it.
Take some decongestant
I mean I was gonna
Yeah now that you're telling me to
I don't want to do it
He's got the Nola virus
You know I wonder if that's an instinct
Or it's learned
Because my dad
Like that's something that my mom
Would criticize my dad for being
Your stupid father
So stubborn
It's not a good trait
Yeah I'm not saying it is
You know
And my dad would be like
Hey why you bust in my chops
Otencia
and my mom would tell him to do something, and now he wouldn't do it.
How I'm not going to do it.
Steve!
Here's, I'll give you a perfect example, ready?
My dad during COVID time started looking like Ben Franklin with his haircut, right?
He stopped cutting his hair.
He looked like Albert Einstein or something, right?
He turned into like crazy old guy.
Stop dying.
Stop cutting his hair.
Doc Brown?
Yeah, he got Doc him and Brown.
Great Scots, right?
His dad used to look like Dennis Eckersley?
Yeah.
And then the head, he stopped dying.
He stopped dying.
He looks like Kenny Rogers now.
So my mom would be like,
Stephen, what are you doing?
Cut your hair.
Hey, leave me alone, Otencia.
The more my mom bothered him to cut his hair,
the more he leaned into,
hey, I'm the crazy old guy now.
And everyone's like, Dad, just cut your hair.
And every time someone would tell him, he wouldn't do it.
He wouldn't do it.
Eventually, Luigi the barber was at his door being like,
you got to cut the hair.
You got to listen to reason.
You got to listen to Luigi.
So I don't know if it's a natural instinct
there. It's a learned thing, but I'm telling you, you can't tell Aaron Rogers what to do.
In regards to that Diana Rossini report, who we love, happy birthday, Diana Rossini.
But you know, play the audio one more time, Iowa, Sam. This is her report on the Jets' conversations
with Aaron. When they had conversations with Aaron Rogers about what the future would look like,
if you're going to be part of this team, you're going to attend all the training camp.
You're not going to do Pat McAfee interviews anymore. Wait, they said that. Yeah. If you

this to me is Aaron
Glenn getting control back. So do you think
that if he would have agreed to not do
that stuff, that he would have been their quarterback?
I think that no matter what the Jets
were going to say, Aaron Rogers
wanted to move on. That's
our old pal, Diana Rusini,
doing great work as usual. And happy
birthday to her. Yeah. It's her birthday
and Mike Shinoda of Lincoln Parkspere.
Wow. And my son, Ben.
And same of the best for last, bro.
He's five today.
Little Benny's five.
And he's already the man of the house, if you know what I mean.
We start our first tee ball game this weekend.
Very cool.
Beginning of, remember when you were a little kid, your first tee ball game,
put on your first ever uniform?
I'm pumped for him.
Coach had a pitch to me.
You know what we do?
We do three pitches.
If the kids don't make contact, then you break out the tea.
I'm excited.
I've been coaching girls softball for my daughter a couple years.
This is my first dive into coaching.
baseball, so it's going to be exciting.
I'm pumped. Just don't tell me what to do.
Your thoughts on Aaron Rogers before we move on, though?
I think he calls it a day, man.
I think the better question, buddy boy, and it's really not an easy question to answer.
I don't care what any experts say.
I don't even want to hear their speculation.
I'm curious if you just put on your own dumb thinking cap, not that sweet Travis Matthew
hat you have on.
Not as a sweet thinking cap.
Where could Aaron Rogers land?
When you think about, I want you to think about this and give me an answer after the break.
Just think of one team where you like, that makes sense.
Because with rookie quarterbacks, young quarterbacks, veterans, where could Aaron Rogers call home in a darkness retreat in a cave somewhere?
I just think the options are oddly few.
More Kavino and Rich. Next.
Hey, guys, it's us.
