This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
Is everyone lying to me about who they are?
I felt such desperation.
I felt it was what I had to do.
Listen to Deep Cover the Family Man on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is,
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is,
getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akila Hughes,
and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down,
I was thinking about what it meant
that I grew up in a majority black city
in which there were more homages to enslavers
than there were to enslave people.

So many guests this week.
Kurt Schilling, we got Paige Sparantic.
Whitworth, Drew Breeze is coming up today.
So many people stopping by.
It's crazy.
Could I direct people to the Fox Sports Radio YouTube channel?
because all of our interviews in their entirety
will live there for free.
So check that out.
Back to the Taylor Swift on, and it's not going to annoy you.
We talked about how the ticket prices in New Orleans are plummeting.
And by plummeting, there's still $3,000, $5,000,
but Danny G., not the usual, like $9,000, $10,000.
You know what the hottest ticket is?
Donald Trump and Taylor Swift are both going to be in suites.
So people are now inquiring,
could I get the suite next to them?
People are saying like, all right, I want to sweet.
I'll pay the big money, but could I be between Taylor and Donald?
What good would it be to be near?
TV time?
No, maybe while you're watching the game every so often, you just stare at them?
That's really strange.
That's stalker-ish.
And what, Kanye's going to be there?
That's the other big story.
I don't know if Kanye's going anywhere the way he's talking about it.
I know, right?
But beefed up security, we can tell you that much, just being out here in New Orleans
because of all these big names.
So it's Kavino and Rich, speaking of big names.
We got lots stopping by, not ours.
We got Drew Breeze on today's show.
Yeah, buddy.
Donovan McNabb's stopping by.
You mean my old college buddy?
Yes, your old college buddy.
He never saw you at the campus.
In just a few minutes, Seal.
Yes, musical artists, Grammy Award winning artist, Seal, and Debo Samuel.
Together.
One of the wildest combos stopping by the show.
You never know who's going to stop by Radio Row here,
for Super Bowl 59.
Before Seal and Debo were hanging.
Your favorite combo is the pizza-flavored one, right?
It's always the best one.
It's a great combo.
You know what? I say we have a lot to get to.
As a deep thought we had about when the waiter or bartender tries to take on too much.
We're going to get to that, but I say let's dive right in.
Head first, Pete Rose style.
Your pompad door flopping around.
Let's do it.
Seal and Debo, we caught up with them like an hour ago.
It was fantastic.
Take a listen.
Kavino and Rich, live from New Orleans, Fox Sports Radio.
One of the wildest combos of the week, again, is Kavino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio.
We got a Grammy Award-winning artist and San Francisco 49er superstar.
Seal and Dibo, Samuel.
Welcome to the show.
There we go.
Yes.
Yeah, because my name's Samuel too.
Seal Samuel and Dibo Samuel.
Did you all know that do?
Yes, we did.
Our producer told us five minutes ago while we were harmonizing.
Bahaha, Baha, Baha.
Don't do it.
Don't do it.
Seal, okay?
I can pay you to a kiss from a dime on the bay.
You didn't do the Baja, but they changed it to Baja, man.
I think they should have went do-do-do-do for Mountain Dew, but hey, I'm not in charge.
Yeah, exactly.
Thank you guys for being here, man.
It's a pleasure.
You know, it's one of the greatest songs that ever was.
You know that.
Oh, thank you.
Are you excited that it's going to be introduced to a whole new generation of younger people.
It's never gone away, but there's going to be young people watching.
Yeah, I am really excited, and it's a lot of the reason why I did it, because, you know,
Mountain Dew is synonymous with the Super Bowl.
It's, you know, they have a historical relationship.
And it was an opportunity to make people laugh, make people smile, and also, you know,
I drink Mountain Dew Bahablas myself.
And so it was an easy yes.
Mountain Dew reminds me of my late-night Taco Bell runs.
I was going to Mountain Dew with Baja Bell with Baja Blas.
Yeah, the Baja Blas, at Taco Bell, I always get that.
I always get the Mountain Dew there.
Yo, Debo, I got to ask you, as a big Niners fan,
you've got to be anxious to just run it back.
I mean, the team is too good for what happened this year.
Yeah.
Feel this way?
Yeah, definitely is.
But, you know, with this league come injuries, for sure.
Yeah.
We can't sit back in Harpone.
You know, we lost this game because we didn't have this person.
We lost this game.
We didn't have this person.
Like I've sat back and watched this team win games with, you know,
a lot of the stars that we have on our team hurt.
So, I mean, we can't sit back and blame that.
But it definitely play a part in it.
But overall, you know, definitely anxious to get back.
Definitely anxious to get back to work with all the guys for sure.
And just, you know, we got this chip on our show.
Like this is like my real first year not making a playoff since I've been an honor.
And it just feels so weird just to sit back and just sit back here and say back here and say,
and be like, yo, yeah, this team is playing.
with normally, you know, we all teams is always knocking at that dead door.
You're looking at these teams thinking if we were full strength, we'd whoop all these teams?
I mean, there's a lot of ives, but we wasn't there, so we just, we just get ready for this year.
We were talking to your dude, Fred Warner the other day.
Yeah.
And I said, as a fan and as a guy of the team, we were feeling the same thing.
Every week was like, all right, next week is when things turn around.
Yeah.
It just never, it never happened.
But next year, with everyone healthy and it's at Levi's next year.
It's going to be a homecoming.
You're going to do it.
Y'all, Seale, is it, is it fun to it?
work with Debo on this campaign?
I've been a fan of this guy since he was at Carolina.
So, yeah, it's great to be standing next to someone I've admired.
I'm a frustrated athlete myself.
And just to be, you know, to finally meet Debo and tell him about all of the great moments
that I've enjoyed watching him create is it's been special.
And to do it with Mountain Dew is amazing.
What we find awesome is the mutual receipts.
We talk to a lot of, you know, superstars in the music world.
They admire athletes, and athletes admire people in the music world.
It's like a mutual respect.
Well, sport is an allegory for life.
I think that's why people connect with it so much.
You can see a lot of the daily trials and tribulations and challenges that we go through in life.
You can see them being played out on the football field, you know, or whether it's on a tennis court.
It's, you're watching life unfold.
and to see an athlete transcend something that has been holding them back,
you know, it's a reflection on life.
And so that's my connection with sport.
Well, CLE, I can tell you're probably a great athlete.
You're a big dude.
No, no, no.
I'm a frustrated athlete.
Like, I'm not a great athlete.
I mean, but I try, you know, and that's the important thing.
But Debo, is there an artist inside, man, can you sing?
Are you any good at any instruments?
You don't have to say it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I mean, I got a little voice on me.
I got a little something.
Was there a part of you growing up that you're like, man, I kind of want it?
No, you're not always athlete from day one.
For sure, for sure.
When did you realize that?
At a very young age?
Yeah, so I kind of started playing tackle when I was like four years old.
So that was it?
Yeah, that was it.
My dad was my coach for a long, long, long time.
And, you know, I always played with the kids that was older than me for it's like my brother and all that stuff.
Same question for you, Seale.
Did you know, like, I'm going to be a singer at an early age?
He thought he was going to be a tennis player.
I heard you say tennis before.
Yeah, so at first it was tennis.
I wanted to be a tennis player.
I didn't think I was going to be a tennis player.
You know, I had a teacher at school, Mr. Wren, and I idolized him.
He was the cool teacher, you know, wore the cool clothes.
Like everyone wanted to be like him.
He was different from all the other teachers.
And he sang.
You know, he was a singer, but then, you know, he got a real job as a teacher.
and I kind of started singing because I guess I wanted to be like him
and he put me on stage when I was 11 at the Parents and Teachers Association evening
to sing a Johnny Nash song called I Can See Clearly Now, you guys are probably too young to remember that.
And I remember going to the stage, it was the scariest thing that ever happened.
He called my name and it was Acapella so I had no backing.
and called my name and said,
we got this,
Young Sears going to sing a song for you right now
and I walked to the stage
and I saw my parents in the audience
and all of the parents of the other kids
and everyone there.
And literally I wanted the stage
to just open up and swallow me.
I was frozen, but I closed my eyes
and I sang this song
and it was kind of like that scene in the movie
you could hear a pin drop.
I sang this song and at the end of it
I still had my eyes closed
and everyone clapped
and I saw my parents going
Wow
because they never heard it before
mouth dropped
and so that place that turned into the scariest place
place on earth
it immediately felt like home
and so I always knew I would return there
so I guess the reason
the real takeaway from that story
is that we all need people to see us
we need you know for you it was your dad
who who saw you
and I saw something great in
when you were four years old, you know, and you were playing tackle at that age, you know,
he saw it in you.
For me, it was Mr. Wren.
He saw me.
And, you know, whereas other teachers thought I was going to be a waste of time, you know,
because I have ADHD, so I never paid attention in school, and they thought I was going to be
a waste of time.
But he saw me, and he brought out something special.
It's an amazing story, man.
This is perfect.
Because when I'm here, I'm missing Career Day at my kid's school.
I'm going to send them this clip.
How cool is that?
Ms. Wagner's class is going to see Seal and Debo.
I start coincidentally coaching my son, who's four this weekend, so I got to keep that eye out.
Maybe my son will be the next Debo, Samuel.
I got to ask, people talking about you rolling up in an Eagles jersey this week.
Is that you just support your boy?
People make it a big deal about this for no reason?
That's definitely me supporting my brother for sure.
We've been locked in for a long time now.
We're going on about eight years of being my guy.
you know, just showing support.
You know, I always say, like, if I'm not in it,
I want one of my peers to win it.
Of course.
Am I feeling a little eagle bias here?
Because you're supporting your boy, and he wants to fly like an eagle.
To the sea.
Fly like an eagle.
They drag it.
They're trying to drag me to that.
No, no, no, no.
I'm not going to let you do that.
I want to fly like an eagle.
No.
That song is, that song that you just singing there, right,
is literally the only association I have with the eagles.
It begins and ends there.
Really? Okay.
But I can only imagine 0 and 2 against the Chiefs, you can't be loving this team.
No.
No.
Not at all.
Not at all.
Robert Salaback, is that a big deal for you?
Even though you're on the offense, he seems like such a vibe guy, no?
Right, man.
This man, energy is through the roof.
I've seen that having.
I was like, bro, we got one of our core guys back.
Because when I got drafted there, he was there.
Yeah.
So, like, you know, he was the high-energy guy, the get-it-old.
everybody going when when things ain't going right he always dare to bring it back together like he's
the guy for sure no what i always wonder kavino is there is there 49ers group chat and you are you guys
talking about this while we're learning about it no no no everybody be cool and just because at the end of
there's nothing that we can control it's just you know no doubt that's a tough thing about your
your your profession man you like you for me i i can control everything you control everything
yeah we can control is what we go out there and put on tape that's it oh seal can you still control those high
notes, kids from a rose, that real high note.
Which high note?
Baby!
That one?
That false note.
Not that.
Love remains.
Love remains.
Love remains.
Love remains.
Love remains.
You want me to go higher?
Yes.
No.
Let me tell you.
This is wild because I want to keep going back and forth.
Music, sports, because those are two things people love so much.
Like, like, all right, Super Bowl.
Besides a game, are we excited about Kendrick Lamar?
Are you a fan?
I don't know to me.
I'm not going to sit here in live.
I'm the biggest Kendrick fan.
I really start listening to him when him and Drake got the going back and forth.
So I'm just like, all right.
But he got some, after, you know, listen to that and listen to songs.
He got some bangers.
Drake can't be loving this.
Drake cold, though.
Oh, yeah?
I agree.
I agree.
One of the coldest.
Let me ask you this.
Talking to other 49ers, everyone seems sold on Brock.
I like Brock as a fan.
Is Brock your guy no matter what?
Love him.
Yeah.
Love him.
Well, we appreciate you guys.
You guys got lucky, by the way.
Mr. Irrelevant.
How is that lucky?
No, but I'm saying the fact that.
Don't consider it luck.
No, not lucky, but Mr. Irrelevant, you saw, people are saying when the minute he joined
your team in practice, everyone's like, this guy.
This guy.
The first free season game I watched him play, we played Houston.
And he showed a glimpse of like, yo, like, this kid is talented.
And I'm just like, he just get out the pocket.
be moving. I'm just like, yo, like, who is this guy? Like, you know, and he always
one of the guys that practice that stood at the back. Like, he used to just throw, like, he told
me a story. He's like, hey, D, bow, man, I used to just, I just think he was just so mean and
just, this is funny. He's like, I just throw you the ball and just turn around before you
even catch it, so you don't come back and talk to you. I love, I love what, I love what you said,
your response to these guys saying, lucky. You know, I had this great quote by my brother Tiger
Woods one day when somebody.
accused him of being lucky.
And he said, yep, how do I practice?
The luckier I get.
And I think that's the case with,
I once heard, I think it was,
I think it was my brother, Steve Young,
talking about the quality,
the intangibles of a quarterback
that not a lot of people
pick up on.
And he said that,
what he learned from Montana
was that
that if the games on the
line and you know you you got to perform the value in going into the huddle with your guy with your
leader and you see that he's cool and he's not panicking and he's he's calm he's never and he's
confident so i wanted to ask you what is it like in those moments when you go into the huddle
and you see your guy brock who's calm sometimes it be crazy because sometimes cow will get to play in
late. Hey, you know, the quarterbacks get
frustrated. He was like, I can't hear nothing.
He was like, all right, bro, let's get him. I'm about to
do-da-da-da-da-da-da-all. So he's like,
all right, you have no choice but to get in this
car with this dude no matter where he's going and just
sit back and ride with him. That is so cool to hear,
man. Is he that calm in the huddle?
He's the, like, when I say, like, I mean this, like the moment
is never too big for him.
Like, the only time he get kind of frustrated is when
him and Kyle is going back and forth on the head,
and the time getting lower at Cal saying one word,
but want to change the play. He changed about
Four, five times, Brock is like, bro, like, give me the play.
Like, give me something.
By the way, for the record, Seal, Debo, I did not say Brock was lucky.
I was saying the Niners, lucky that he was there.
No, no, no.
I don't see what he's doing.
No, no, no.
You see what he's doing that.
No, no, no.
You see what he's doing the moonwalk, man.
He's doing his dance moves.
Anyway, guys, let us know what's going on with Baja Fresh.
What do we expect in for Super Bowl?
Ain't nothing.
I saw the commercial, man.
I saw the good stuff.
Tell us what's going on.
Man, there's nothing better than.
Super Bowl football and a great Mountain Dew,
especially the Baja Blas. It's so refreshing,
I swear. I love it. Best drink out.
Fantastic. In the commercial, you turn into a seal.
They finally got you to turn it. They got me
to do it, you know. But honestly,
I'm really proud that,
I'm really fortunate and happy that I got to
make people laugh. And I'm really proud to be doing it
with Mountain Dew Baja Blast. You know,
it's a, it's a perfect match, I think.
I think you guys are a perfect match. I love having you both.
Dear, really appreciate it.
I mean, say he doesn't even as one.
I'm his biggest fan.
I've been watching this guy since he was at college.
That's so cool, man.
Thank you guys for your time.
We're excited to enjoy some Baja Blast,
and thank you guys for being on the show.
Debo Samuel, Seale.
Yes, sir.
Samuel and Debo Samuel on the Covino & Rich show.
How cool is that?
Such good dudes.
So much fun, you can see the videos at Covino and Rich
at Fox Sports Radio.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But the best video you can see at Covino and Rich?
Yeah.
is that when we were done hanging out with him, I said,
Debo, my man, for good luck,
we have to have a Rich Davis to Debo Samuel touchdown pass.
So I threw him a tutty, and he made a one-handed snag,
and that's why the Niners are going back to the playoffs next year.
All right.
And I posted the video of Debo with a sweet grab at Covino and Rich.
Now we're live from Media Row, Super Bowl 59 Covino and Rich,
live from Nola, and we still got Drew Brees,
stopping by and Donovan McNabb.
So you've got to stick around right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, huge news?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing.
a bit for the podcast for people could call in and say, hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing huge.
human potential. Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and
with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having

He felt destined for greatness.
So when a swaggering Armenian businessman catapults Jacob into an extraordinary world,

I've ever come across.
When Jacob met Levant, this went to a billion dollar fraud.

Listen to Kingdom of Fraud on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

Sunday. You still got it. Yeah, they must have paid Seal a ton of money for him to be like,
okay, you could see GI my face on a seal. You know, could have talked to both of those dudes
for another hour. I'm sorry. I was sorry.
hyped up. It was Debo. Seal and
Debo, you're not sorry.
Sorry, not sorry. I mean, actually you are
kind of sorry, but he's not sorry about that.
That's Rich Davis. I'm Covino, live
from Super Bowl Media Row.
Thanks, Sam. And the tire rack.com
studio. If you miss Seal,
the artist Seal and Debo Samuel,
Seal Samuel, and Debo Samuel,
they're not brothers.
They were on
the show, catch it on the podcast.
I had
so much stuff to ask him. I really
did. I think that's one of the top
10 songs of all time.
If not,
maybe top 5 of all time.
Top 10, I'll give you because
respectfully, I don't know
anyone that's like, I don't like that song.
It's such an earworm, too. If someone hits you with a
da-da-da-da-da-da, right?
It's in your head the rest of the day.
It's such a beautiful song. I remember
buying a single just like, is that you're going to say?
I said, both of us
talked about how we bought the CD single
when it came out. And you guys,
there's a bathroom directly behind our stage.
About a half hour ago, I was in there.
We were kind of getting ready for the beginning of the show.
And there was some random in there singing and whistling that song right there out loud.
It's just from our interview.
You see Seal.
And you're right, the rest of the day, I've been walking around.
It's a timeless song.
And I was going to ask him, well, if we all agree that's one of the top 10 of all time.
Or maybe in our lifetime, you know, what is it for him?
What are those songs for him?
What's his personal number one?
aside from all of his great songs.

And by the way, so awareness theory, we're rocking Travis Matthew, and I feel like everywhere we look, I'm seeing their logo.
Like, I think the word is out that it's not just golf gear anymore, that it's actually casual gear you can wear any time and still look good.
I see it everywhere.
I'm kind of sour about it because suddenly now, I'm the one who's always for years worn it at the studio.
Suddenly Big Mike, somebody say who?
Who?
He's going to be walking around our studios in Sherman Oaks, California, wearing the hats.
Yep, yep, yep.
So again, guys, stick around for Drew Brees and Donovan McNabb,
going to be on the show today.
Oh, talking Eagles.
Oh, yeah.
So lots of people stopping by, Media Row.
Such a great week.
Again, I want to thank everybody for hanging out with us.
If you missed anything, catch the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page.
And we also had Gary V on Overpromised this week.
We caught up with Gary V, Gary Vaynerchuk, overpromised on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.
That's our bonus pod.
But, well, hold on.
At our hotel, I Was Sam...
We have a story.
I was Sam just hit us up with a trivia question.
Does he think he's going to stump you with this one?
I love I was Sam.
I was Sam, pose the question.
Go ahead.
And so Kiss for Marose by Seal
appeared in what mid-90s film?
Listen, I just wanted to ask this so that I could talk about
or have you guys talk about one of my favorite action hero movies of all time.
Of course.
Tell me.
Batman.
Forever.
Forever.
Forever.
Forever.
Forever.
Forever.
Forever.
Forever, Carnalz.
Everyone wanted to hate on that movie, and it's one of my favorites.
I mean, the soundtrack definitely helped for sure.
Definitely helped.
Wasn't Jim Carrey the Ridler in that one?
It was great cast, Nicole Kidman, Jim Carrey, Tommy Lee Jones, who I just played.
That's two-faced.
It was cool, man.
And Seale looked great.
It was great talking to him.
And again, like I said, we're still excited to talk to Drew Breeze and Donovan McNabb.
So we got to tell you about our adventures, though, here in New Orleans.
No doubt.
And again, that video of SEAL and Debo
going to be available on the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page.
I know we try to get to that story,
but I have so many observations.
Do you notice that SEAL when you went in for the handshake,
he gave everyone a big hug instead?
Yes, I did notice that.
Did you notice that?
It was very European.
Very European.
Like, you were like, yo, Seal, when you went to give him a handshake,
he was like, nah, did he grab your butt?
He grabbed mine.
And I thought it was just me.
I thought that was a little weird.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mind.
I didn't mind.
I didn't mind.
You know.
Something you should know about me.
I'm a hugger.
I gave him the okay.
So.
Yeah, that's all.
But yeah, and he was a great storyteller.
He really was.
You could tell he had a great respect for Debo Samuel.
He was a big sports fan.
All right.
So, I'm sorry.
Now, to last night.
You're not sorry.
I mean, you are, but you're not.
Yeah, I guess so.
We're at the hotel last night.
And we decide as much as we wanted to go out,
and you always want to explore a new city.
Yo, did I tell you some woman on the elevator
says this, as I'm going down to meet you guys for dinner?
Man, the hotel lobby is crazy.
You're in New Orleans.
Who would ever get dinner at the hotel?
Hey, where are you headed?
And I go, to get dinner at the hotel.
It was great, though.
The restaurant at our hotel is good.
Yeah, I mean, convenience right there, and it was good.
It had a good vibe.
There was a buzz in the lobby.
You know, there's superstars and celebrities.
Our colleagues are there partying.
Yeah, why not?
Yeah, it's fun. It was fun.
So we sit down.
There's about eight.
There's eight of us.
We're hanging with some of the other on-air folks.
Our buddy Rob Parker.
Our buddy Weiss, Cavino, Spot, our video guy.
We really do have a great team.
And it really does feel like you're hanging out with good buds.
Screw all you guys.
That was at Chris Stapleton.
Yeah.
Danny G.
He was at a Series XM concert, Chris Stapleton.
Our buddy Super Agent Sean Wyman was at dinner.
So here's the question.
The waiter comes over, who was also the bartender.
They were...
Efficient.
They were packed last night.
So this guy comes out from behind the bar.
And Weiss, our buddy, that runs all the stuff here at Fox Sports Radio and Iheart.
He's like, yo...
Mike runs this place.
But Dave Weiss also, you know, is a powerful man.
Let's put it that way.
And he's like, yeah, this bartender is great.
He gives a nice, solid pour of a cocktail.
He's good.
He's quick.
He knows what's up.
This guy comes over to our table, and he's like, all right, appetizers, drinks, and food, go.
Remember, there's eight of us.
And there's eight of us.
And I'm looking at, he's like, no, no ped, nothing.
He's looking around.
And it's, and there's a couple pain in the asses.
Like, big mics, like, no croutons or something.
And Kavino, he was insistent upon, I got it, and he did not make one mistake.
I don't appreciate this.
Is that a pet pee?
I really don't because if he were to make a mistake, because nobody's perfect except for Kurt Henning.
And he died, so it would come back to see, that's why you should have wrote it down.
I said no cheese.
I said no croutons or whatever the case may be.
There's no way he always gets it right.
You know what I mean?
So I'm sort of like wary of this whole thing.
I'm like, I don't like that.
Why do you do that?
It bothers me.
Write it down.
And then I have another question based on that.
Danny G., what was your kick on that?
Just that he's trying to pull a Jay-Z because.
he hove always pulled that thing where people were stunned because he would walk into the booth
and just start rapping from what he wrote in his head right right right so these waiters try
pulling that yeah you don't trust it i didn't trust it i always as a waiter you know in my
previous life previous career i always wrote everything down i'm not taking that chance because again
if you get some wrong i don't know man i guess the kitchen got it wrong i wrote it i entered it just the way
you said it i have written down right here
Are you in the Benignans Hall of Fame?
I am, actually.
Yep, yep, yep.
They retired my apron.
So I have another question based on that.
By the way, no one has served more Turkey O'Tooles than Steve Kavino.
Record holder right here.
Your thoughts on that, by the way, because I'm not a fan.
This guy happened to get it right.
Big Mike.
There's a lot of people that show off and don't get it right and it bothers me.
Big Mike who runs this place.
Who?
Mike.
He did say.
Never heard of them.
You might want to grab a pen.
and the guy was adamant, like, nah.
I got this.
So your thoughts on those odd flexes?
Like, I get it.
Is it a show-off move?
Is it like, is he working on memory recognition?
Like, what is that move?
You know what I'll put right up there too?
I'll put right up there when it comes to annoying waiter tactics.
There's one move and then one move that's just absurd.
One move is when the guy, like, kneels down to your level.
Like he kneel, like, and he got his elbows on the table.
Like, so how are you guys doing?
It's like, hey, man, can you like stand up?
You're bothering me.
I know it's supposed to be cute, but it also bothers me when an attractive waitress
like scoots in your table.
I was just,
I was just going to say that.
When someone like, you know, squeeze a sheet and they sit next to you when they're taking the order, I'm like, get out of my booth.
Come on.
I don't like it.
I don't like these little tactics, I guess.
But I did want to ask this question, too, based on work trips and, you know, you're hanging
with your colleagues.
And a lot of times you don't venture off too far on these adventures.
But is it lame to.
get the same thing more than once when you're in a new city we're in new orleans right so we're
staying at the marriott they had a really great salad at this place we speak of called the summer
salad i got this rich no joke maybe four times five times maybe this entire week every day every time
i got it is that the lamest move of all time or when you like something you stick with it that's
my question that restaurant had shrimp and grits yeah but you're always taking a chance i didn't feel like
taking that chance they had a rib-by they're
They had a cheeseburger.
They had like a Southern fried chicken dish.
The summer salad had some grilled chicken on it.
I enjoyed it.
You know what else?
They had a potential stomach ache, which is what Rich had prior to the show.
Exactly.
So I'm like, you know what it worked?
We have a busy week.
I feel nice and light.
I enjoyed it.
Why take the chance?
So lame move or boss move as the saying goes.
But again, your thoughts on the waiter.
Let us know at 87799 on Fox.
Chop it up.
Yeah.
Get the phones going.
Be a little interactive.
87799 on Fox.
Now, while we wait for your feedback, just know that
coming up on the show, Drew Breeze,
Donovan McNabb, some QB legends.
But right now, let's go to our pal.
Moncy Balanos for an update.
Moncy, do you like that move or not
when the waiter or waitress is like, I got it,
and they try to memorize like 10 people?
So did they mess up?
They did not.
All right, so what are we hating on here?
We're trying to find...
Yeah, we're literally trying to find a problem
that didn't exist.
Yeah, I agree with Moncy here.
I thought you said they messed up on one,
he messed up on one item.
He came back one time he goes,
just checking like no cheese, right?
And that was it.
And besides that, I'm like,
yo, is he just, is it a shit?
It's like almost a show off move.
I don't know.
I think, you know what?
Some people can just do that.
It's not for everybody.
Now, if you are a server,
don't try to do that if that's not in you.
I would always write it down.
Just because I have short-term memory in that sense.
You know what I mean?
Like, I rather just write it down.
You ever think, you know, maybe it's a way to stay not
bored at work. Like maybe this guy's like, yo. It keeps you engaged.
I'm here, you know, eight hours working the bar in this place. Let me memorize orders.
It's fun. Yeah. I think it's just some can do it and some can't. But you're looking for a problem
that doesn't exist if they didn't mess up. And I'm speaking to Covino here because apparently he's the one that
had a problem. Well, if there was a problem, yo, I'd solve it. Yeah. Just letting you know.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy. Not quite. Unhumor me with
Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter
Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.
I'm Timbo.
Every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines.
We go straight to the source, the athletes themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff, no.
Nobody gets to hear. The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real.
From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered.

business. We've had the best set here in New Orleans. Look around. We got the best one here at Fox Sports

how that waiter was flexing by not writing down that extensive order. Yeah. In a way,
Fox Sports Radio is flexing pretty hard on Radio Row.
We got tons of fodder.
Every year.
Every year.
But that's what it's all about.
This is also our Super Bowl.
Yeah.
Because we're here at Media Row.
We got one of the best setups and the best team.
So everybody at home and in your car.
Thanks for being part of it.
We really consider you family, Fox Sports Radio.
Again, I'm Steve Kavino.
That is Rich Davis.
We got Danny G. Super producing all of our videos at Fox Sports Radio and Fox Sports
Radio's YouTube page, our video team slaying it all week.
So if you want to see Seal and,
Debo, check our IG, check the YouTube page.
And again, later on this show, Drew Breeze and Donovan McNabb, your old college pal, Rich.
Yeah.
What is going on?
I don't know.
People are shouting here now.
I think Patrick Mahomes just walked in.
Sounded a little scary, to be honest.
So, we got a top 10 that Rich says he could slay here.
The athletic came out with an article of the top 10 halftime performances of all time.
And if you ask Rich, I don't think that he thinks Kendrick Lamar is going to be in the top ten.
You know, I may have changed my mind on how fun it'll be.
I still stand by the fact that a lot of our parents and aunts and uncles and, you know, the older people in your life might not really know.
We know what the truth is?
Danny G. and I were talking about this on our way to get that same salad again for the fifth time.
The NFL is not trying to win older people over.
They don't care if your dad likes Kendrick Lamar or not.
You know why?
Because your dad's tuning into the NFL no matter what.
They're trying to win over new fans all the time.
It's a great point.
It's great marketing.
He's the hottest guy going right now.
He just won, what, five Grammy Awards?
It's the reason they're so psyched with Taylor Swift bringing new fans to the league.
Exactly.
That's really what it's all about.
So you've got to be open to it if you're not that familiar with them.
Top 10?
All right, here we go.
Let's see what you can do.
Okay.
You want to start at the bottom of the list or the top?
I'm going to just name them and you tell me if they're in the top 10 and I'll see if I could without three strikes,
Like family feud style.
All right.
I mean, I was saying
I played it out of the commercial.
It was going to be my number one pick anyway,
but Prince in the rain, the silhouette,
purple rain.
Prince is on this list.
Number one, according to the athletic.
Wow.
Number one.
All right.
So Prince on the list?
See, you got to go from the perspective of,
is it my favorite or is everyone else going to say?
Right.
That's great.
Because I'm going to say, put Bruno Mars on this list.
agree.
Bruno Mars.
Yep.
Bruno Mars is tied for six.
He got on the drum set, dancing.
Red hot chili peppers.
Yeah, I mean, he was awesome.
All right.
I don't think so, but I bet because she was pregnant and she's huge and everyone loves her and she's a billionaire.
She was pregnant, man.
I didn't mean huge that way.
Sure you didn't.
Rihanna?
Yes, number nine.
Okay.
You know what I guess I remember.
You know what the athletics doing here?
Kissing ass.
Because it wasn't the best.
You didn't tell me Rihanna's top 10.
Wasn't the best performance.
Kissy Nays.
It was a baby announcement, if you remember correctly.
Because she was holding.
Yeah, that was the top 10 weakest performance aside from the baby part.
You're holding your belly because she had too many po-boys this week.
That's right.
Look, I totally respect that beautiful moment.
But that was a moment in a boring performance.
Sorry.
Right, let me keep going.
Again, not the biggest fan of these guys, but I feel like people are going to say you too.
Number three on the Apple's list.
He's on fire.
First time all week.
I was going to say I'm bound to miss one at some point now.
She jumped off the top of the stadium and she's a big star.
Stars!
Lady Gaga make the list?
Lady Gaga did not make this list.
You're going to go Lady Gaga over Michael Jackson?
I was saving some.
Why would you save it?
Michael Jackson, put it up.
Yes, Michael Jackson.
Jackson, of course, made the list number five.
Okay, MJ.
What was that?
I mean, come on.
All right.
Super Bowl halftime shows that left an impression.
Again, Kavino, not Mastis, but I know what the people love, and I'm going to throw Beyonce on there.
Beyonce and Destiny's Child number four.
Ooh, so they went back and talking.
Critics and lists love Beyonce.
Yeah, which is why I put her on.
You know, Billboard named her the biggest pop star of the 21st century.
Beyonce was better than Rihanna.
Where was she again?
Number four.
Number four.
Okay.
See, I like Maroon 5, but I'm not going there.
Oh, I'm going to get this one wrong.
But Katie Perry with the dancing sharks?
Number 10.
Yeah, okay.
Okay.
All right.
Katie Perry, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, MJ.
Um, now I'm saying, you want to add one?
I'm trying to think of who.
I don't want to put the who on.
I think they stunk.
I was at that one.
Yeah, but critics love the who.
Lists love stuff like that.
I'll give you a clue of one.
It didn't happen that long.
long ago.
Don't tell me they put the weekend on.
No.
All right, because I didn't, that's not an official pick.
Oh, that was during the COVID year.
How about Eminem, Dr. Dre?
Yeah.
50 Cent.
Dr.
Dre and the crew, number two.
You know what?
I wasn't even thinking recent.
I'm like, that was.
Yeah, man, how can you not think about Snoop up there with Dre?
Rich was very critical of upside down 50 cent, though.
Is he still up there?
People are wondering if he's still upside down.
Well, if you want to go hip hop and R&B?
I know it was a year ago, but Ershur?
Did he make the list?
Oh, man, I got two strikes.
I only got one strike left and what, two remaining spots?
Yes, sir.
Maroon 5 I'm not going with, even though I do like Adam Levine.
The compilation of like when it was like Christina Aguilera and didn't you go up there with like Phil Collins or something?
No.
I'm out, three strikes.
Damn it.
There was a tie at six.
Shakira.
Bad Bunny and J-Lo.
Didn't that start COVID?
COVID started right after that.
Yeah, the back-to-back butts, remember?
Yeah.
And then number eight, Madonna, Nikki Minaj, M-I-A-O, and C-Lo Green.
Okay.
All right, there you go.
Hey, listen, coming up next.
Pretty good, though. Pretty good.
That's the top 10.
We are joined by Drew Brie.
So legendary quarterback joins us next.
Live from Media Row, New Orleans, Kavino and Rich.
