Nick Wright, one hour from now, the herd hierarchy. One hour from now, you're not going to believe who I've got in the herd hierarchy. I feel very strongly about it, and you won't believe. who's out? Jay Mack. I don't think I've ever led with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and I would prefer not to lead ever a show with a Jacksonville Jaguars. So I'm going to broaden this topic out today because something happened in this game,

and it wasn't the 500 yards of offense by a backup quarterback. I'm not going to talk about that now either. I got a feeling, Jay Mack, and I want you to hear me out on this, is that businesses will show you how committed they are. Pay attention. Should you resign with a company? Do you like a company?

Should you move to a company? How do they treat their best employees? How do they treat their employees? I can't take the Jaguar seriously. This will feel like a little thing to you, but it bothered the heck out of me. Trevor Lawrence gets hurt, writhing in pain. Three minutes it takes him to get off the field.

He's 6.5.2.30's a big kid. He plays hurt all. the time. He is in real pain. He's furious. Players feel sadness, even for the other team. Takes him minutes to get off the field. The team will not be the same without him. He's a wonderful young man, met him twice. He wants to play. He can't. He literally can't move. He's so frustrated. And then they show him leaving the field with a security guard. You don't have a cart. For God's sakes it's Florida. Everybody owns a golf cart. A security guard? Where's Dom when you need him? He's a $400 million franchise player and a security guard's helping him off the field. That may be a

little thing to you, but there's a reason the Niners and the Eagles and the Chiefs and the Packers. There's a reason teams are good year after year after year because they commit to the players, Baltimore. Say what you want about the Cowboys. They care deeply. It drives them nuts when they lose. They treat their players well. They treat their employees well. It matters.

He's the star employee. And you don't have a cart for him to leave the field? Maybe you should move to Orlando because you're such a Mickey Mouse operation. He's Trevor Lawrence. He's saved the franchise. You've got to go playing London back to back. You have to tarp the upper deck of your stadium. And this is how you treat him?

ridiculous. God, if there's any place in America that should have golf carts around the stadium, it's a team in Florida, Jacksonville, a retirement area. Maybe, maybe there was a golf cart and he didn't want to get on it. You demand he gets on it. You demand he's treated well. That's how you treat employees. These athletes, every Sunday, go out. They give their bodies for entertainment and for billionaire owners. That's what they do with pride and love for their teammates. And the franchise star goes down and you got a security guard helping him off the field. Bush League. You're a half-committed franchise. I watched Jake Browning play in college. I didn't think he was, you know, going to go to the NFL and throw for four or 500 yards,

whatever he threw for. So I was very happy for him. He's a former Washington, Husky, California kid. All my buddies are texting me. You said he could. play, he can play. I'm happy for him. And, you know, shocking, Jacksonville in a Monday night football game. You would think it's a Monday night football game for a lowbrow franchise. You want to show the country. We got our act together. We're a first class operation. This drove me nuts. By the way, even if Trevor Lawrence is like, I'm not using a cart, you walk over and you get his butt on a cart. That's how you treat athletes. That's how you treat players. These guys give their bodies for us.

They give their bodies, their family, the sacrifice, the commitment, the NFL can cut them. The owners are cajillionaires. A security guard? Look at that kid. He's 64-652-40, and he can't put weight on his foot. He's a $400 million quarterback. Drove me crazy. People show you how committed they are.

Believe them. I'm a free agent. I see that. No thank you. I'm out. Because they don't treat you like that in San Francisco. They don't treat you like that in Philadelphia. Philadelphia has got a security guard.

If you get close to their players, he's getting, he's in your face. And I may not love that, but I do appreciate how certain organizations have treated their players for years. People committed, deserve to win. That's why when a Baltimore wins, or a Green Bay wins, or Philadelphia wins, I'm for people who are committed to their employees. You can tell me that doesn't matter. It matters. Drove me nuts. Maybe it didn't drive you nuts.

Drives me nuts. Okay. Now, I wouldn't call it a travesty. That's what Florida State fans are calling Florida State being left out of the college football playoff. Unfortunately, some media members are buying into the travesty stuff. I think it's a little over the top. Why do I think it's over the top? Because Michigan and Alabama are going to meet.

in a semifinal game. And they are going to beat the all-time television ratings for the semifinals. Translation, we're over it. That's who we really wanted to watch. By the way, next year, because of SCC Big Ten expansion, and because of the 12-team playoffs, it will destroy any previous record of college football ratings. Translation, the Florida State thing, we don't really care.

We don't really care. We want to watch the big programs, Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Ohio, State, Penn State, Wisconsin, play each other. Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Alabama, play each other. You can call it a travesty. I call it better programming. By the way, another add to this. This year was the most watched college football season ever. another translation

Florida State didn't drive those ratings when you live in a tiny tunnel you believe your little problems your misunderstandings your misfortune are travesties it doesn't rise to that but since we're using that ridiculous word for college football a travesty you know what I think a travesty is

Georgia they can argue they got hosed Georgia has won 29 straight games before they lost Alabama. As good as Pete Carroll's teams were, as good as Nick Sabin's teams have been through his dynasty, 29 straight games

in the toughest conference easily in college football. Let's be honest. Recruiting rankings, go look at the top 10 recruiters. SEC's got a majority. Look at the first and second, third round of the NFL draft, SEC. It's been like this for 20 years. The games, the loudest crowds, the biggest

crowds, the most committed staffs. the richest coaches. Georgia loses a game on which their tight end and receiver are both dinged up. And they lose it to Alabama, the second best program currently in the world in college football. And Georgia's sixth. The hell?

Well, they got hosed. Georgia plays Florida State. There are two touchdown favorite. Georgia would be favored over every single team that made the tournament, including Alabama. Again, everybody but Michigan. and maybe Michigan. And we just cast them aside.

I think it's unfair that Florida State gets to play in that wobbly ACC conference that is so bad that Florida State's been trying to get out of it for two years because they know how weak it is. It's a pinata. I think it's unfair that SEC teams have to go on the road and play in front of 95,000 people every week. There is never a seat. I've been to SEC games. By Wednesday, there's Winnebago's parked in the parking lots. You can't get in.

The SEC Championship, it cost you $580 to get a ticket. It cost you $42 for the Pact 12, and I love the Pact 12. I did love it. It's over. $600. Why? Because it means more. They advertise it.

I work at Fox. We don't have the SEC. So you can't say, I'm a cowherd. You're defending. No, no, no. We go against the SEC. This company doesn't have the SEC. I've got no connection to the SEC.

But Georgia can yell they got screwed. They won 29 straight games, 26 by blowout. It's an NFL factory. They're favored by two touchdowns over Florida State. They have to go on the road every other Saturday. 90,000 people in humidity, NFL bodies, rich coaching staffs, and basketball conference FSU. ACC guys, basketball conference.

trying to get out because it's so weak, they think it's a travesty? The travesty, you're going to meet that travesty in a few weeks, and they're going to beat you 38 to 7. You go ahead and whine in Tallahassee. It's outrageous. If you want to use travesty, and I think that's silly for any college sport, but if you want to use travesty, how we cast aside Georgia, as Dennis Miller said,

they stump people like an narca to bankers rally, babe. They destroy everybody. lose one game close to Alabama and they're six, they'd be favored over everybody in the tournament. Be careful about using travesty, because in four weeks when you get clobbered, we're all going to laugh at you. We're going to make fun of you. And college football's ratings this year, next year, SEC ratings are through the roof. Translation, your travesty is just sort of unfortunate for the rest of us. Again, the chairman, the committee guy laid out a very realistic reason. I watched Florida

State. I was willing to give them a shot. Years ago, Ohio State had a backup quarterback, and I watched it, and I thought I'm not going to let them in. And then they beat Wisconsin 59-0-0, and I went, okay, I'll let Ohio State in. Wisconsin's a pretty good program. I'll let them in. They beat them 59-0. What's the last time Wisconsin lost? 59-0?

Had you been 42 to 14, if you could pick up back-to-back first downs in the first half, you probably would have gotten in. But now, to travesty. Here's Boo Corrigan. The player availability was really important to what's going on. And I think someone said it there, you know, you can lose a running back, you can lose a

wide receiver, but, you know, a quarterback is dynamic as Jordan Travis, it changes their offense in its entirety. Florida State is a different team than they were through the first 11 weeks. Florida State, when you play Georgia in a few weeks, be very careful about The travesty talk. Because people are going to unload on you if you can't get four first downs. And that's a possibility. And I'm not joking.

If Georgia is reasonably focused and under Kirby Smart, they usually are. The history of college football, teams that complain about the bowl game they're in get crushed. Georgia, deep down, didn't spend a lot of time complaining about not getting in. They're disappointed. But the fact they're sixth? You've got to be kidding me. Georgia hasn't been six in anything in like five years.

All right, J-Mack. I had a lot of energy. I slept well last night. Fired up today, huh? Going after Jacksonville Jaguars at FSU? What do you have against Florida, huh? Nothing. I don't.

But it's just circumstantially today that those two places tick me off. I just won't, you know, I won't vacation there in the next few months. Probably a wise idea. I will ask you, though, have you taken a gander at the Bengals schedule the rest of the way. Let's not go crazy because a backup had an individual game against Jacksonville. They play four backup quarterbacks in the next five weeks' call.

I'm talking to AFC bad backups. The Bengals are live to sneak into the playoffs. And Jake Browning in a wild card game. That's not a joke. Look at the schedule. Two weeks ago, Jordan Palmer, who comes on our show, the quarterback guru, texted me and he said, Jake Browning can play. Be very careful.

Jake Brown. I watched them at college 20 times. And I was like, I don't think he can get the ball down the field. But he looked good. He's like 27. He was in college. I know, I know. He was never a big armed guy. He was a smart kid. He won a lot of games. Everybody likes him. He's a great kid, great family, all that stuff. But he's not a big armed guy. And generally in the NFL, you've got to be able to push the ball down the field. He looked great. You know who didn't see this coming? Jake Browning did not see last night coming. Nobody knew that was coming.

All right, welcome back. My rant's over. So when I watched Trevor Lawrence get hurt last night, and it's not like I had any great conviction that Jacksonville was going to run the table in the AFC. I didn't trust him, and they've shown an inability to beat the Chiefs. But I was watching that injury last night. My takeaway is, Kansas City's getting to the Super Bowl. Yes, after losing to Green Bay, Kansas City's getting to the Super Bowl. Bowl. So now Joe Burroughs out, obstacle. Trevor Lawrence out, obstacle. He'll come back probably, won't be 100%. And Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Indy, wildcard teams, they all have backup quarterbacks. Miami, you already beat them and they don't do well against good teams that are physical.

Baltimore, love them, but Lamar Jackson has struggled in the playoffs. That's indisputable, and I love him. Houston, rookie coach, rookie quarterback. They're not getting to the AFC championship. Forget the Super Bowl. So if Kansas City beats Buffalo this week, and I think they will, it's my favorite bet on the board. Mine is two and a half. I love the Chiefs. Put a nail on that coffin. And, you know, the Patriots had a lot of bumps during their dynasty. And this is a dynasty now, Kansas City.

Believe it or not, it is. I mean, in the NBA, if you win back to backs, you're, you know, you start giving them nicknames. This is a dynasty. This is what a dynasty looks like. In Kansas City, like New England, there was a lot of bumps during a lot of seasons. but you throw in the fact that Kansas City's strength is their defense. It's the best in Mahomes era, and it's going to match up just fine against rookie quarterbacks, backup quarterbacks, and Trevor Lawrence, not at 100%.

In fact, if you go back and look at Brady, this is starting to remind me of the Tom Brady Tampa year. So remember Brady that year, there was a lot of offensive turbulence. The defense was good, young, and fast. Defense wasn't a problem. The problem was they had a lot of. get Vitavia back. The Chiefs need to get Bolton back.

But the offense had turbulence. Then they got a couple of breaks. The schedule lightened up. Kansas City's schedule, 8 and 4 Chiefs, lightens up. They're going to face Bailey Zappy, a backup quarterback for Vegas. Jake Browning,

the untrustable chargers and a Buffalo team that's swirling. All right? So both teams, that Tampa, Brady team, and this team, offensive turbulence, missing one defense, defensive star. The schedule lightens up. Both had a veteran quarterback who's won Super Bowls, a veteran coach who knows Super Bowls, and a good defense that was missing a guy. Also, there was

not a dominant team in that NFC. Green Bay was the number one seed and Tampa had already beaten them. There is not a dominant team in the AFC that's in Kansas City's way. Miami is scary, but Kansas City's already beaten him. So this is lining up as your classic older veteran team, defense probably has more good players than the offense, Super Bowl winning coach, Ariens, Andy Reid, veteran guys who know their stuff. They've been around the trophy room.

Tom Brady, you know, Ariens had been involved with teams that had been. Remember, he got annoyeded, was it in Pittsburgh? You know, I mean, Ariens knew his way around the NFL. Andy Reid's obviously great. veteran quarterbacks who've held up trophies. Defense was probably better personnel-wise than the offense. The schedule all lightens up. There's no dominant team in your conference.

It's sort of bumpy. And then you start putting W after W. And I think the Chiefs win this weekend. My money on the 8 and 4 Chiefs now to win the AFC. Burrow gone, Trevor Lawrence gone, rookie quarterbacks a star, backup quarterbacks on wildcard teams. Jay Mack with the news. No, no, no.

on the news. This is the herd line news. You know, the FSU fans are trolling even the NFL situation. Well, Trevor Lawrence is out. I guess the Jags can't make the playoffs. By the way. It's like the dumbest. Jags do not make my top ten today. Why? They're fine. They're going to make a playoffs. Because they don't have

Trevor Lawrence. Yeah. I do not have Jacksonville in my top ten. For one reason only. Had they lost with Trevor Lawrence, I'd have them at nine or ten. I don't have them in because they don't have their quarterback. You know who else I don't have in? Pittsburgh. Yeah. who I had had in. Why not? Because they don't have their quarterback. Also, they got their butts kicked by

Arizona. Well, but I would have probably had them at 10 Jacksonville 9. I don't have either in today in the herd hierarchy because they're not the same teams without their star quarterback. Spoiler alert, I was going to petition you to shrink the herd hierarchy this week because the league is so bad after like 17. I don't. There's not even an 8, 9, 10. And stop. Houston's no. They're not in there, dude. Houston is a... You know how big that tank dell injury is? I may bet the Jets this week. They don't even want to have a quarterback right now. I may take the Jets. Don't.

Let me warn you, I did. Don't. Yes, I saw. All right, let's start with the Cowboys who have another massive game this week. Rematch against the Eagles on Sunday in the afternoon, or is it at night? It's at night. It's Sunday night. Classic game will be awesome.

Dallas lost the first meeting narrowly. They've won four straight since then. McCarthy, he knows how big this matchup is going to be. When you look at the teams that we're getting ready to line up and all of the Philadelphia is all matters right now. I mean, this is an excellent opportunity for us to play in playoff-type games without, you know, without playoff consequences. And I think that serves very well because December football is something that, you know,

personally I've always enjoyed. I think it's a great indication of where you are as a team and which you need to, obviously, do to get into the playoffs and be ready for the playoffs. So we're looking for it. I mean, it's the Cowboys and the Eagles. I don't think you've seen anything more than that. game sound big, Cowboys Eagle sounds gigantic. Are you surprised that the flat threes are gone?

It's now three and a half. That's a big, big swing. Okay, so that's called for people watching that don't bet, that's called the hook. So when you get a half point, like at three, it's one bet. I like Dallas. At three and a half, I don't. Because I think it's a close game. I don't think anybody's going to, remember, my rule is always, if a good organization

with a good quarterback gets humiliated, it's a great week of practice. Now, there are issues within Philadelphia that are not very correctable. They're not good at linebacker back end. They're just not. In Dallas now, Ferguson is exploding at tight end. C.D. Lamb Cook, all valuable. But the hook gives me Philadelphia. I can't.

These games, if you go back and look at Philly Dallas games, aren't they all close? Now, that's top of my head. They may not be, but it seems to me for years and years, Ravens Steelers, when they were at their height. They were all close. This just feels like a 27-24 game to me. I don't know, man. The books gave a three. That was the early line.

The big money came in early all on Dallas. And they said, we're taking away the threes. It's only three and a half. Colin, I would be leery here to take the Eagles. Now, now. This does feel like, remember, in the fourth quarter, Eagles Cowboys, Dallas dominated. I know they were playing from behind, but they were able to find some things that worked. I think it was like 136 yards to like 10 in the fourth quarter.

If they owned it. If Dallas plays on rhythm. them, meaning they get time to throw it, they'll win the game. But what Philadelphia tends to do, Hassan Reddick, you know, their defensive front, they get you out of rhythm and they make you make plays with your feet and they push you out of the pocket. They couldn't touch, they couldn't get to party. The defensive line is beat up and the secondary is bad.

The linebackers stink. Keep your eye on the health of the Eagles D line. If they miss people going into this, it's trouble. This just may be a two-game losing streak for Philadelphia. Yeah, I think it's Dallas or pass. Next up, I wedged this one in. I made sure we got this a topic. Brock Purdy is now the co-MvP favorite for best odds to win the MVP.

Now, here it is. Brock Purdy and Dak plus 300. Obviously, I wouldn't tell you to bet Brock Purdy at 300 when you could have got 2,500 earlier the season when I was prattling on it on my podcast. Jalen Hertz, Patrick Mahomes, Tua, and Lamar Jackson. Dax should win if those two are tied. All right. Time out. Do you think McCarthy or Kyle Shanahan are better offensive coaches?

Okay, that's the wrong question to ask, Colin. Let's just take a step back. So, you know, we talked about this off air yesterday and Nick, you know, was here. And you guys were, oh, this is Jimmy Garapolo all over again. It's absolutely not, okay? Look at the stats. You're going to be surprised by this. Brock Purdy leads in every passing category.

No, no. Hold on timeout, timeout, timeout. Percentage, complete a percentage. Dak. Dak is not number one. It is Brock Purdy. Yards per attempt. Brock Purdy by a mile. He's throwing deeper. I know there's a lot of yak involved. Touchdown passes he's fourth, but QBR number one. Quarterback rating number one. EPA per play. Number one. Success rate number one. When Jimmy Garapolo, 2019, I looked it up. He wasn't number one in any category. This is Jimmy Garapolo on steroids. Garapolo is top five, top ten, top 15. This is also a better. Brock Purdy is totally a different quarterback. Okay. It's not called best stats. That's why Westbrook won. Okay.

It's not a statistical award. It's most valuable. San Francisco has proven they can win with multiple quarterbacks with Kyle Shanahan. Really? What happened to try Lance? Garopola, he's a bust. What happened to Nick Mullins? They tried a bunch of quarterbacks. No, you're giving me the bottom of the barrel. If you're capable, you can get to a Super Bowl.

You take Dak Prescott out of Dallas. I know the Cooper Rush Month was neat. Yeah, four and one. Do you believe they're this good without? I mean, if you're telling me, we all know, San Francisco's got the 10 best players in this game, seven or nineers, we know they have a better coach. So, Dak Prescott is more valuable to elevate the second best coach in that argument and the second best offensive roster.

He's more valuable. But if you want to go by that metric, give Patrick Mahomes the award every year. He's the most valuable quarterback. The drop off from him to blame Gabbard. You're confusing. valuable and great. Just leave all the other words out. Valuable.

Kyle Shanahan won an MVP with Matt Ryan. He got Garoppolo and Matt Ryan to Super Bowls. Matt Ryan was the number one pick. I mean, he was not chopped liver. Matt Ryan Garoppolo to Super Bowls. The minute, Shanahan leaves their lives, they disappear. Okay. Dack has won with Jason.

Garrett. He's one with Mike McCarthy. DAC is more valuable to the Dallas Cowboys. Than Brock Purdy to the Niners. I don't even think it's close. I don't know. It's not a statistical award. That's not what it is.

It's not a statistical award. Years and years ago, in college football, years and years ago, there was a program, BYU. Lavelle Edwards was the coach. Their quarterback led the nation and throwing every year because of the offense. Chip Kelly, you're going to have these college coaches where you have these profoundly dominant quarterbacks based on system.

That's a fair point. Big 12 quarterbacks the way they play no defense. So you have to contextualize all these awards. Andrew Luck was winning with Stanford guys 12 games. He didn't have to win the title. That's what a Heisman guy should look like. You said DAC is more valuable than Brock. And great.

He's having a great year. And what are you basing that on? Because if it's a numbers, that's not accurate. Brock is more valuable. No, no, no, no. Again, valuable. You're using the wrong. wrong word. Brock isn't more valuable. His stats are better. So how do you quantify value?

Who's the most valuable person in your family? It's not you. It's your wife. Who makes no? I don't know. I make the money, but she does all the other stuff. Yeah, she does all the other stuff. My wife's the most valuable person in my family. I make the dough. But she knows where to put it. Okay. Right? So you're confusing value with stats. You're confusing importance with income. Okay. So if we remove the stats, DAC is more valuable because... He is the face of a franchise. They have one legitimate elite weapon. They have one weapon.

Kittal is a Hall of Famer. Debo is unguardable. McCaffrey's the best running back, arguably in the last decade. Brandon Ayukes become, to me, Brandon Iyuk and C.D. Lamb, Cedys better by an inch. Iyuk's a star. They've got backup running backs. Mitchell can do it. They have backup receivers, Jennings.

They have weapons everywhere. CD Lamb twist an ankle. Who's he throwing to? Well, we saw without Debo Samuel, San Francisco offense kind of fell apart, right? Without Debo Samuel, he misses games, Trev Williams misses games. They lose a couple. It's funny. You take one little piece out of San Francisco, not the same quarterback.

The stats go down, isn't it funny? We should have a side bet on this, like honestly, like something significant, not like a car. Somebody may vote pretty in, but Dax way more valuable to the Cowboys. Okay, final story. LSU quarterback, Jaden Daniels, Oregon QB, Bo Nix, Washington's Michael Pennix, and wait for it, OSU receiver. Marvin Harrison Jr. are the four Heisman Trophy finalists. The winner will be announced Saturday.

Now, we don't talk about the Heisman a lot, but you just use the word value. Harrison's the best player. So what are we voting for on the Heisman? Well, how is the Heisman described? I mean, if you're asking me who the best player is, it's not even close. It's Marvin Harrison, and I love Pennix, Nixon. By the way, when Jaden Daniels went to LSU from Arizona State, I remember going on the air here and saying,

what a great get for LSU. And all I heard from LSU fans and Brian Kelly haters is, what a bad player. I've been on the Jaden Daniels thing since he was a first year at Arizona State. I watched them as a freshman. He was outstanding. He weighed about 80, I mean, literally he weighed about 150 pounds. Is it best season? No, I'm just saying if you're asking me the Heisman Trophy,

I think it's, you know, can, I mean, you'd have to go look up the exact term of it. But to me, Marvin Harrison and Jaden Daniels would get the award. Michael Pennix has unbelievable wide receiver talent, great O line and a great coach, although I think Michael's wonderful. Bo Nix lost both times to Washington, so he can't get it because he lost twice. But he lost twice to Pennix. He can't vote Nixon over Pennix. They went toe-to-to-to-twice, and he lost. So either give it to Harrison, who's the insane.

Maybe the best receiver, I mean, Calvin Johnson, I thought was the best college receiver I ever thought. maybe Harrison or Jaden Daniels. Jayden Daniels because Bama and Georgia run that conference just doesn't get the press. The kid's insane. Who the hell goes 50 touchdowns four picks in the SEC? Without the best team? I think makes sense. I would say this is tougher than NFL MVP.

For me, Brock Purdy's slam dunk leader now. I have no idea who to pick for Heisman here. Like this is... I give it to Jaden, Daniels. It's too bad we can't do a co-Hisman. Why don't give the penics? his team's undefeated. He hasn't lost. You're asking me to contextualize everything.

I would have no problem with- I think that's part of the discussion. I would go play Jaden Daniels won. Daniels is probably the most electrifying player. Harrison, the best. But I give it to Penix. I mean, this guy's like a super senior. This is my team. Listen, you can give it to Pennix.

I won't lose any sleep. I would love it. They're in the playoffs. He undefeeded. He makes all the plays. I'm not arguing against him. I'm just saying 50 TDs and four Bix for the third or fourth best team in a conference. You don't have the best teammates. I'll tell you that Jane Daniels is going ahead

of Pennix in the draft. That's for sure. There's talk that Daniels may now be QB3. I talked to a highly respected NFL person yesterday who smart person just said, hey, what do you make of Pennix? And I said, I've been told he's a bigger Tua.

And he goes, man, the injuries would scare me. And that's what I'm hearing now. Now, I love Pennix. I think he, I mean, he is, he reminds me have a bigger too. Look at his ball is so. So in the right offense, if he was drafted by Mike McDaniel, I would say, holy cow,

that's, you'll never get me. You'll never get me to say a bad word about Michael Pennix. You put Pennix in like the Chicago Bears offense and he's going to look like garbage. Well, we don't know that. Come on, man, nobody can look good there. I'll say this. Jaden Daniels, there's a... Look at his ball.

Does he throw the prettiest ball you've ever seen in college? God, it's just art. Jaden Daniels starting to remind me of a young. RG3 when you watch some of this tape. Like, RG3, by the way, he was phenomenal. I didn't think it would be there, but Jayden Daniels looks like he is going to be a big-time player. God, this kid throws the prettiest

ball in college I've ever seen. That is the prettiest ball I've ever seen in college. You're going to need time to throw those balls up. There needs a lot of time in the pocket. He's not going to go number one, so Pennix could go to a team that has like a legitimate offensive line. Don't send him to Pittsburgh, please. You know, I'll throw an interesting one to you.

If Pennix drops because of injury concerns, No, it'll be too late. If you're Detroit, if you're in Detroit, you don't have a lot of openings and you like golf a lot. Well, is Ben Johnson gone or is he still there? Because that's a huge, I'm telling you, that's a huge factor. It'd be an interesting to say, listen, we're going to bring Pennix and he can sit. We have a great O-line and great run game. We don't have a lot of needs outside.

We'd love to be better at corner, but the whole league would want to be better at corner. Because they've filled the last three drafts for the lines, they've hit on everything. What about Atlanta, Minnesota? Minnesota, who, if you're a quarterback, you. You want to go, Kevin O'Connell, Mike McDaniel, Kyle Shenhan, you want to be drafted. I'm just going to throw this out there. Not every quarterback is going to be drafted by a team desperate for a quarterback. The Rams are not desperate for a quarterback.

But would you be shocked if they said, hey, we'll give you Aaron Donald and a number one pick. We're going to move up four spots and get Michael Pennix and he can sit behind Stafford for two years. Trading up for Penn. We all think the teams that are going to get the quarterbacks and the desperate ones. Watch a Los Angeles Rams, Detroit Lions, because they don't, you know, like, The Lions don't have a lot of holes to fill. Let's see what happens in the playoffs. If golf flames out early, yeah.

But if golf makes a run, I don't think they're taking a quarterback. I'm a golf fan. I just said, we all believe that the quarterbacks are all getting taken by, you know, the teams that are dreadful at quarterback. What do the Green Bay Packers do several years ago, moved up to get Jordan Love? And they had Aaron Rogers. That happens as well where teams draft a quarterback that do not need them for two to three years. But they keep them away from rivals.

They keep them away from their conference and facing them, but they like them a lot. I think one of these guys like Pennix may fall because of the injuries down to like 18, 19, 20, and a really good team's going to go get him that doesn't need him for two years. That's what I'm saying. That's what's interesting. We all look at Pennix and go, oh, he's going to drop in the draft. Yeah, like Aaron Rogers. It's a good thing.

Yeah, like Marino. He ended up with Don Chula. Aaron Rogers ended up with the Packers. It's not the worst thing to get drafted 20. Lamar Jackson. Oh, I can't believe he went. Yeah, to the Baltimore Ravens. Going deep in the first round means you're going to Kansas City.

Kyle's, what? The Brock Bernie disrespect has reached new levels. A lot of people liked our argument just now about that. By the way, you want to be MVP. You've got to be able to make the Fox graphic. He's never going to. Who's a seventh round pick? This is a Nick Wright argument.

It's a very good argument. You want to be MVP. Don't you have to be the best player on your team? He's the best quarterback in the league right now, according to every stat no demand. Stat. Stats. What are they? Okay.

So I have defended Robert. Sala, coach of the Jets, because I think he knows his side of the ball. But this thing's getting to be a circus. Yesterday, Diana Rusini, who's a very trustable reporter, she writes for the athletic. She is as well-sourced as any reporter in the world doing this football thing. And she basically said there was a story that, you know, Robert Sala's like, Zach, we want you to play again. And Zach's like hard pass.

So Sala came up and sort of defended, you know, Zach Wilson and the situation yesterday. Let's be clear. If he was reluctant to play guys, he wouldn't be here. All right. I actually, coincidentally, just got done speaking with him. He came in about a half hour ago, and we had a really good conversation. The young man wants the ball. He wants to start.

He believes he's the best quarterback in the room and best quarterback for this team and the guy who gives us the best chance to win. And I'll tell you guys the same thing. I told him. I appreciate it. I appreciate the fact that he wants to play. I'm just not there yet. I don't know the truth, but I trust, Diana.

I don't know. Here's the thing. This team is now spiraling out of control. It's one thing to be bad because quarterback plays bad. You can retain your job. I worry now that Sala, it looks like a circus and he's in trouble. I mean, we're answering questions now about if the quarterback wants to play. Woody Johnson,

who's impulsive to begin with, this is not good. At some point, we had this discussion with our staff this morning. Robert Salon needs to now take control of this franchise, period. Or he's going to get run out of New York, and nobody's going to hire defensive coaches. We'll get into that later. But the

Packers coddled Aaron Rogers at the end. It didn't work. And the Jets have coddled Aaron Rogers. It's a disaster. Aaron is a 40-year old quarterback who's passed his prime, this is a weak

offensive line, and you hired his buddy at OC. I don't know Nat Hackett, but if I'm Sala, I go hire an OC, I pay him as well as anybody in the league, I get somebody that gets the very most, not a buddy of the quarterback. Businesses

that let individual employees guide their decisions get in big trouble. Those are called desperate businesses. Go look at the current mock drafts. It's a lot of desperate businesses at the top. So I would trade Sauce Gardner. Robert Sala doesn't have that juice in the building, but I would trade him. I think we've seen

the best of Soss, and I think he'll remain at top three or four corner. But I'd move him and get draft picks. I'd fix that offensive line, because whoever your quarterback is, it's got to be better. But Sala's got to take control of this thing. Let's be honest about Aaron Rogers. And I know you all think I hate him. No, I don't. He's fun to watch on television. I never root against good quarterbacks ever. I wanted Baker Mayfield to be better. I did.

I don't like bad quarterback play. But Aaron is a little bit of a needy, 40-year-old quarterback. Old quarterbacks need better offensive lines. This is a bad one. He's a beautiful thrower of the football. That is what Aaron Rogers is. But he needs to be coached. Because when he doesn't allow you to coach, it unravels.

It did late with Mike McCarthy when he wouldn't listen to coaching. It did at the end when he had more power than Matt LaFlechreux. were in Green Bay. They couldn't beat Detroit at home and get to the playoffs. And this year, stop coddling him. He's not Patrick Mahomes. He's not as good as Burrell when he's healthy. He's not as big and strong as talented as Josh Allen.

That's not what he is. He's a 40-year-old off an Achilles surgery and old quarterbacks need better old lines and your own lines a mess. Sala's got to take control, get rid of Hackett. Move Lazard. It's my franchise. I'm going down. My Way, not your way. If Aaron comes back in place pretty well next year, what is he the

future? It's not the future. Zach Wilson's not the future, but Aaron's not the future. And I'd vote Aaron Rogers' first ballot Hall of Fame. I always told you I liked Aaron much more than Brett Farb. I was much more an Aaron guy than Brett Farb with seat of the pants, gunslinger, not coachable. I think

Aaron can be coachable. I think Aaron likes sometimes to be coached hard. But Green Bay coddled him at the end. It didn't work. The Jets are coddling him. It doesn't work. He's not that good anymore. He's not Josh Allen. He's not Lamar. He's not Mahal. He's not Mahomes. When Burroughs healthy, he's not Joe Burrow. You can't let a 40-year-old off an Achilles
