Starting point is 00:00:12 We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
Starting point is 00:00:30 you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the ice. Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where SportsSlice comes in. I'm Timbo, and every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headline. And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear. Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast for no nonsense breakdowns of the biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments set to find Roland Garris.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Jen, she's an outsider to win the French for me. and she likes Clay. Find your local station for Cavito-Ritch at Fox Sports Radio.com. or stream us live every day on the IHeart Radio app by searching FSR. All right. Let's do this. Here we are, and we are broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio. I'm Kavino.
Starting point is 00:03:13 That is rich. Danny G. is super producing. Always great to see. And better to hear Danny G. Yeah, yank. Sam, there he is. Hi, Sam. Hi, I was Sam on the ones and twos.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Jay Stu's hanging out. DB's got the updates, spots on the videos. At Covino and Rich, if you want to play along at home at Fox Sports Radio. But I hope you had a Cavs Warriors sort of night. Cavs looking unstoppable, bro. Or Warrior Cavs. Yeah, Warrior Cavs. Wow.
Starting point is 00:03:43 Like Rich. He must work out. Some good games tonight. But first and first, mostly, we be rocking out. Let's go. Now, Danny G. No Lakers tonight, but you got Clippers Nuggets game five, which would be a good one. I wonder of Lakers fans
Starting point is 00:03:59 I wonder if Lakers fans feel like tomorrow the big comeback begins because I don't think it's impossible Lakers are a good team I don't know it's not looking good but we'll keep you posted on that later on in the show we're giving away prizes we got Iron Mike trivia
Starting point is 00:04:16 there's some big fights this weekend Iron Mike stopping by he hasn't been here in a long time your chance to win the coveted C&R stainless steel water bottle the Swiggy with the swaggy. So again, our number if you want to participate, just hang out, call and chop it up. 87799
Starting point is 00:04:33 on Fox. Again, everything at Covino and Rich. I got one question before we get into Sequin. I know we have a theory on him. Kelsey and Ryan Reynolds, there's some beef. I'm clearly got to touch on that. And then a Haley Steinfeld
Starting point is 00:04:48 Josh Allen deep thought. Uh-oh. But, you know, the more I think about the Bill Belichick, Oh girlfriend Jordan situation Excuse me We're not going to talk about that
Starting point is 00:05:03 It's already been addressed To me Um Sorry no Bill we have to go I think I've already said that Are you sure Is she looking out for him
Starting point is 00:05:15 Or she Like too much Oh stop dude I get it The PR angle of it all I'm just curious I'm sure she has His best interest in mind
Starting point is 00:05:28 But you got to do it With a little grace He's his own man. No, because you and I have a theory. And when it comes to football, back off. You and I have a theory. And we agree on something that it's right. We've always had a theory that if you want to make a couple smile,
Starting point is 00:05:42 you ask them, hey, how'd you guys meet? Tell me about the beginning. And a couple could be in the middle of a fight, but all of a sudden, like, the woman's eyes will light up, like, oh, he's so silly. Yeah, well, you know, I was with my buddy at a bar, and there she was. No, that's not how it was.
Starting point is 00:05:59 I was in my girlfriend, and people love... Nowadays, the story's not as fun, though. I was like, well, I was on hinge, and I swiped right and then left, and then I saw this girl with a fat ass, and I was like, ooh. Yeah, and I thought he was a jerk at first, but then he hit me up, and I almost didn't swipe because he was holding a fish in one of his pictures. Yeah, the story today are not as fun. I'm just saying, like, if you ask anyone, like, hey, Danny, how did you meet Brenda?
Starting point is 00:06:24 There's a story that's probably nice, and couples like to tell it. So it leads me to believe based on a How I Met Your Mother episode I watched in the 2000s. I was Sam, you and I both fans of how I met your mother, correct? No. No, you're not? No. I think we had another show in common. The office?
Starting point is 00:06:42 Sam was a fan of the show called How's Your Father? Oh yeah, that's what it was. How's your father? You know what, Sam? I didn't like dislike it. When you sit around doing nothing, watch how we met your mother. It's fantastic. I'll be sure.
Starting point is 00:06:51 If you like lame laugh tracks, Sam. I don't know. Maybe the best sitcom of the 2000s, but that's cool. lame show narrated by Bob Sagget. If you need shows to tell you when to laugh, check that one out. If you're too cool for a show of the laugh track, listen to Kavino who watches only History Channel documentaries. I missed it. I'm doing just fine.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Thank you. Then she said, wrecked him. Damn, I freaking hate you already. I don't even want to do the show. Damn by you. You want to take over? Carry on. So Bill Belichick and the Jordan Hudson story.
Starting point is 00:07:25 How I met your mother, shut your mouth for a second. You shut your mouth when you're talking to me. How I Met Your Mother, there was an episode where Barney, he got a feeling that Ted wasn't telling the truth because Ted and this hot girl had a fake story of how they met. And it was because they had met online. And in the 2000s, meeting online was weird. So they were like, we met at a cooking class. My thought is people love sharing their how'd you meet story. So if Jordan Hudson shuts it down.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Not talking about this. Maybe it wasn't. on a plane signing a book. Maybe. I already told you he signed my text book. Maybe. His social studies book. Maybe there's more to the story.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Or I'm just looking at it to it. He signed her little golden book. It was years ago. He signs a copy of the Bear and Steam Bears. I'm just saying, people love to tell their story. Just something to sit up. You know, sit on and think about. Well, sit on this.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Here's the update. The update based on this controversial CBS interview that we discussed yesterday is that... That's funny. What was CBS as biggest show in the 2000s? Probably how I met your mother? God Heem. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:42 I mean, I liked it. I've seen a few episodes. Maybe two and a half, man. But the update today was that they almost felt a journalistic integrity. They felt it necessary to show this part of the interview. because it was such a part of what was going on. That was the tip of the iceberg. Meaning it wasn't just that one interruption.
Starting point is 00:09:05 That was, they kept that one part in because apparently throughout the whole interview, she was interrupting. They said they deleted 30 minutes of the interview because it was so awkward, but they had to leave something in to sort of tell the story. Give the vibe and tell the story of what was really going on there. And that it was so bad at one point that she got up and stormed out and expected Bill Belichick to follow her out. Oh, what do I do now?
Starting point is 00:09:31 Bill, we got to go. I'm leaving. And it got real awkward to the point where the guy doing the interview was just like, all right, it's a wrap. All right. Hey, thanks, Bill. Have a great one. Good luck. And do I think she has his best interest in mind?
Starting point is 00:09:46 Yes. But do I feel like when you're doing stuff like that it undermines a powerful person? Yes. There's a time and place. You can have an equal relationship, a balanced relationship, a healthy relationship. where everyone has their say, but that's his platform. That's his arena. And when she's stomping on him and cutting them off and telling him to shut up and zip it in front of people,
Starting point is 00:10:11 it undermines his importance. And now UNC is showing concern. Like, is this going to be a problem? I think Bill's got a problem. I mean, some say she's a great ear to have now that he's dealing with younger people, and college kids. In fact, I heard Cal heard. Cross state issues.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Cowherd was talking about. Next question. How, you know, it could be, it could be good for him because he's trying to relate to younger people. Because now it's not like I'm the coach of the Patriots. This is the organization. You're trying to lure talent to you in the college world. So, hey, maybe she's effective.
Starting point is 00:10:47 I only thought of this based on our dumb theory that couples always like to talk about two things, how they met and tell us about your wedding day. It is. You see couples light up. It's true. And it is a move that Rich and I often make because it brings some light into the conversation, some fun. How did you guys meet? And people light up, even if they dislike each other.
Starting point is 00:11:07 So for them to act that way, it is a little suspect. But I wished him the best. If she is his PR person, then yeah, she's doing a good job. But it also seems or comes across a little rude too, right? So, hey, man, that's the update. Not to sound ageist or sexist, but you're a dad of a teenage daughter. I am. It's Bill Belichick.
Starting point is 00:11:36 He's a powerful, successful, good dude from what we understand. Yeah, I mean, he's a winner. But if your daughter's in her 20s, I mean, I guess you accept your daughter or son and love them no matter what. But there's got to be a part of her family that's like, really, wrong what we're doing? 70-year-old guy? Sorry, 73, no? I don't know. I have a question for you guys.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Yes. Bill being such a stone-cold assassin at the mic during press conferences, basically like a human wall of stone when answering questions. On to Cincinnati, yeah. Maybe he doesn't mind her kind of interrupting like that because it's like she's kind of doing that on his behalf, like the way he would do it for his team. Of course.
Starting point is 00:12:16 For all we know, they're in cahoots. And they think it's funny, right? Rich will be texting his wife in front of people. Like, we don't know what's going on. And then, you know, they're getting like a good laugh at everything. Meaning they could have an understanding already like, hey, get me out of this place. You know, we don't know what their relationship is all about. This is all speculation.
Starting point is 00:12:34 But in fairness to us, that's how it looks. This is how it appears. But for all we know, he loves every second of it. Yeah. And you know what? Good for him, good for her. If they're in love and they go or at least find each other, you know, they're fond of each other. Good for them.
Starting point is 00:12:49 What is it? My business or yours. But when you're in the public eye and your Bill Belichick and it's a story, people are going talk about it. I wish him well. I'm just saying my my you know antenna's peaked up when I was like wait, they don't want to talk about how they met. That's what every new couple likes to talk about. How did you guys meet? Well, I was out with my friends and I really wasn't going to go out that night but I'm so glad I did. And he's like, yeah, I was, you know, I had won too many drinks and I was like, look at that hot girl. There's always a story and people love to tell it. The end.
Starting point is 00:13:20 So when you say how we don't want to talk about it, just don't know. Not talking about this. Not talking about it. Yeah, I have fun with that. And if you're wondering where I met Rich, he was at the circus, actually. Yeah, he was a cloud. I was juggling bowling pins. He was struggling bowling pins.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I'm like, hey, this guy has potential. Actually, we met at a bar in Hoboken, New Jersey, and became friends in the rest of his history. We had mutual friends. But anyway, I'm Kavino. That is Rich. And that's still a big story today. So don't get mad at us. It's Silverback Gorillas versus 100 men.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Bill Belichie. and everybody's mad at Sequin Barclay. Please tell me that since we talked about that yesterday, you agree. Have you seen it scrolling on social media, The 100 Men versus Silverback Gorilla? Sam, you've seen it. Ryan Rusillo was reposting stuff about it. I'm like, it's everywhere now.
Starting point is 00:14:09 It caught on like wildfire. It started with a couple thousand views and a couple million. Now it's in the tens of millions of people reposting, retweeting. And I guarantee it's probably already made it to like late night monologues and stuff. Now people are being sarcastic with it, though, which I love. It's a big debate. But the other big debate today that we should put the rest here on Fox Sports Radio. And we say this respectfully.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Is this Saquan Barkley controversy? I'm sure you guys seen the footage. I'm sure you saw it yesterday. The Eagles were at the White House. This is the third rail, my man. My mom hit me up. Stephen, I saw your friend Dallas Goddard there. Isn't that your friend Dallas?
Starting point is 00:14:53 Yeah, Mom. Yeah. Yep, we had him on the show. Best bros. He was unover-promised. He's a great guy. Stephen, I heard Jalen Hertz wasn't there. No, he wasn't there.
Starting point is 00:15:05 It's all good. That's his prerogative. Would it Bobby Brown sing? His prerogative, man. It's all good. I don't care if Jalen Hertz wasn't there. In fact, I think this whole conversation is going to revolve around Bobby Brown. His prerogative.
Starting point is 00:15:19 But if I could say, I don't care if Jalen Hurts wasn't there, do what he wants. He's still a super. Bowl champion. I'm not mad at him. Hey, for all I know, he's busy. For all I know, he doesn't like Trump. It doesn't matter to me. He decided not to go. That's his choice. But the way I see it is it's an honor, regardless of who's in power, who's in charge. Politics aside, if someone's going to honor me, honor my team, I'm going to take that honor and be part of the team process. So I'm not mad at Sequin Barclay. But I am going to say if you're one of those people giving them flack, I think you're part of the problem.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Respectfully. You are the problem. I want to say I think you're pathetic, but I want to be kind about it and say, I think you're part of the problem. Say, go for it. Respectfully, meaning, just like it's Jalen Hertz's prerogative to sit out,
Starting point is 00:16:21 same thing applies for Sequin Barkley. If he wants to go there and accept this, why is he the bad guy when all the other teammates are there? I'm fascinated. Saquan Barkley, just so you know, this story's big. This post that he put on X, Twitter, X, 35 million views of this. He wrote, LOL. Some people are really upset because I played golf and flew to the White House with the president. Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand.
Starting point is 00:16:51 I just golf with Obama not too long ago and look forward to finishing my round with Trump. Now you've got to get my mentions with all this politics and have an amazing day. Okay, so this guy runs his ass off, plays a legendary season, wins a Super Bowl, and he is supposed to sit it out because the public wants him to? No, no, not the public, half the public.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Half the public wants him to and has a problem with it, and now he has to answer and explain that he was being honored so he attended with the rest of his team? I'm just fascinated how people think their opinion matters on what others do. Like you said, the same way, you know, Janeline Hertz decided I don't want to go. That's cool. Seyquan Barkley wants to go take a stroll with the president and chop it up. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Why is everyone such a damn busy buddy thinking their opinion of someone else matters? Yeah, it's their decision. And then it turns into a bullying sort of situation, meaning I've seen a lot of Hollywood, prominent Hollywood people speculating on Sequin Barclay and his politics and the way he, oh, I saw a picture of a very prominent Hollywood figure. He said, oh, and he posted a picture of Saquan Barclay and his white wife, as if to say, well, that explains it. Or how about he just took the honor because that was his decision. and maybe it made his family proud. Like I said, if I was invited, regardless of who was president, I would take that honor because it would mean a lot to me and my family and my hard work.
Starting point is 00:18:29 And I don't think it would say everything about my political stance. I'm just there to be with my team and celebrate this moment. Jalen Hurst didn't have to. Sequin chose to. For you to have a problem with it, you're the problem. And that's all I really have to say about it. I feel bad for the guy that he even has to explain. Did you just pull a Forrest Gump?
Starting point is 00:18:49 How so? And that's all I've got to say about that. I think you pulled the Forest Gump. Yes. And by the way, Forrest Gump, who met all presidents, regardless of party. Damn, I tie everything together. I think I'm going to go home now. Whether it's president.
Starting point is 00:19:04 As long as they had free Dr. Pepper. Listen, I'm sure not everyone even here agrees with me, but I just don't see it any other way. I can't. I can't even begin to see it another way. If you told me we can meet President Trump or go. have a coffee or a drink with Obama or Bush or Clinton or anyone To me it's an honor
Starting point is 00:19:22 And we lose that because you may not Like the person or their policies There's people that hate Trump or hate Obama I would be honored to sit down And chop it up with either one of them You know you busy bodies as Rich put it right For all you know maybe Sequin had Had something to say to Trump
Starting point is 00:19:38 Or a good conversation of mine Maybe you know he felt like he could be impactful And make some sort of change that Was important to him You know, it doesn't. It reminds me of Bill Ma. Maybe he had personal reasons. And here you go judging this guy, giving him all this flack for what, for playing his ass off and making his way to the White House?
Starting point is 00:19:53 That is an honor regardless. It reminds me of Bill Maher, who I enjoy his show. Okay. A new rule, okay. Bill Maher, who went to go have dinner with the president, there were Democrats and liberals that were like, why would you do that? And he's like, what do you want me to do? Like, I think it's great that Bill Maher sat down with Trump. But he's like, hey, I want to, let's chat, let's talk.
Starting point is 00:20:17 I don't understand how people think it's okay to just blindly be judgmental of, oh, you went to the White House? That's hard to be in the middle. It's hard to be neutral. When you're in the middle, you find yourself. It's not, you know what? No, no, no, but you find yourself very lonely because you will do things that make other people on the one side angry and then on the other side angry. And there's not as many people.
Starting point is 00:20:40 There's more people quietly in the middle, but we're neutral. I would say I'm, do you know how many people I talk to on a regular basis that say the same thing you just said, well, I'm not really super liberal, but I'm not like a Maga Republican? I'm like, there's so many people are in the middle, which is why I'm shocked, why people can't just accept this. Yeah. Because the people on the far left and the far out are very vocal. Yeah, it's very vocal. And they want to, uh, they want to shame. They want to shame you.
Starting point is 00:21:11 So I feel like Jimmy Eat World. Now I'm saying. In the middle. Good one. It's the truth. Hit the laugh track. You feel... You feel like Money.
Starting point is 00:21:20 You feel... Yeah, in the middle. In the middle like Mone. Good one too. To your really hard right-leaning friends, you're a liberal. And to your liberal friends, you're some hard-right-leaning person. Again, you find yourself lonely on an island. But here's how it plays out.
Starting point is 00:21:35 And here's why it's okay. And here's why it's not that hard. I'm not mad at Jalen Hertz. Not even a little bit. That dude's handsome. he's on top of the world. He's a Super Bowl champion, and he made his own decision as a man. Okay?
Starting point is 00:21:48 Not mad at the guy one bit. I do feel like, man, he missed out an opportunity to go to the White House. Hey, he could have made a change, maybe. He could have had the president's ear. But that was his choice. Don't care. Short hair, don't care. Like Michelle Obama.
Starting point is 00:22:03 The same way, I don't care if Sequin goes. She did not go to the inauguration. And people criticize that. And it's like, hey, listen, why do you care about other people's decisions and Covino's right and Sam there is some credit to what you said when you're in the middle on a lot everyone thinks you're against them
Starting point is 00:22:19 you get all the arrows when you're in the middle because when that's a really good way to put it when Covino and I have these type of conversations and we have them a lot on our Patreon or with our friends you'd be shocked that our liberal friends are like you and Covina a couple Trumpers and then
Starting point is 00:22:36 our Republican friends like you guys a couple L.A. liberals I'm like how could we be both because you're in the middle. We're not the little tortilla girl. I'm okay. I'm okay being lonely. I'm an outgoing introvert.
Starting point is 00:22:49 I don't want to hang with you anyway. So that's our take on it. And when Rich and I agree, it's fact. I don't want to agree with Rich. I hate agreeing with Rich. But I have no problem with what Jalen Hertz did or chose to do. I have no problem what with Sequin Barclay decided to do.
Starting point is 00:23:05 And as I was Sam pointed out, by having that opinion, you're probably upsetting everybody. Well, I think more people should be understanding of what we're trying to say here. It's okay to be in the middle. And it's okay to make those decisions however you want to make them. And to be critical of Saquan Barkley when the guy had one of the most memorable years of his life to cap it off with this honor. And you're critical of that. Again, I think you're the problem here.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Yeah. And to be critical of Jalen. And to be critical of Jalen Hertz are saying, you know what, I don't feel right about it. I'm skipping out. That's also. Goes both ways, but he didn't get the flag. That's the only difference here in this conversation. He didn't really get the flack that Seekwon Barclay did.
Starting point is 00:23:51 And that is pretty much our take. That's all I've got to say about that. Yeah, well, it's a big controversial story, not to sound like our good pal, Mr. Travis. But that's our side of the story. and we have other fun stuff to get to. Yeah, I'm going to talk about the rules of social media in 2025. If your wife or girlfriend fights with someone, do you have to unfollow them and all that?
Starting point is 00:24:17 Because this has made it to the NFL. It's not a free agent that unfollowed his team, but there's a pretty funny story about unfollowing. And sadly, in 2025, that means something. It sounds crazy to an older generation, but unfollowing someone when you're in your 20s or 30s It's sort of... You don't think a lot of people unfollowed Sequin Barclay yesterday?
Starting point is 00:24:40 I bet you they did. No doubt. And I bet she has more followers. Honestly, I bet you, if you looked at Sequan's follows and people that dropped them, I bet you his charts off the charts. So we'll get to all that next right here on Fox Sports Radio. We have some big news. What's the news, name? Huge news. We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas. We invented a podcast. Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
Starting point is 00:26:02 We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it
Starting point is 00:26:20 one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
Starting point is 00:26:40 But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel. help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.

Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis, and I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
Starting point is 00:27:28 I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs Tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris. every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay. Jenchen won. I mean, she went down to three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted. She's an outsider to win the French for me. And she likes Clay. Listen, Lena Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now,
Starting point is 00:27:50 and I actually can win on any surface. Because if she's serving, well, good luck. Consider this your court-side seat to the French Open. Starting point is 00:28:15 Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the I-Hard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the plays, the controversies,
Starting point is 00:28:55 and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves. their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear. When I met you at the circus, you weren't juggling the bowling pins. You were actually on the unicycle. That's right, yeah. He was on a unicycle. Then he picked up the bowling pins.
Starting point is 00:29:42 That's how we meant. Got to get it straight. Kavino and Rich, Fox Sports Radio. All this stuff about me, why don't they just let me live? Tell me why I don't need to push and make my own decisions. is Sequin Barclay's prerogative. Come on. Just like a Sheelan Hertz's prerogative.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Bobby Brown style. Oh, yeah, I bought this for a penny too. I still have a nightmare that one day Columbia House is going to come after all of us. You're going to get a bill in the mail with interest. Wait a minute. What? It's more than my mortgage. Remember the version or what song was it when Mike Tyson was dancing with Bobby Brown?
Starting point is 00:30:24 Every little step I take. That's what it was. Now, speaking to Tyson, he'll be here later on today. Iron Mike trivia, give one away prizes. But everybody man at Saquan Barclay, again, you're the problem, respectfully, get over it, move on. It's his prerogative.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Is Kavino Enrich live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio? CNR is brought to you by Travis Matthew. See this hat? Yep. Yeah, buddy. That M right there is for Travis Matthew. Before we move on, Rich, if I said you had the chance to be honored and meet our next probe. You wouldn't take it? Next pope? Yeah. Yeah, I've got to meet any pope. Yeah, what the hell?
Starting point is 00:31:13 Why not? You know, that's the news today, right? Donald Trump saying he should be the next pope. Which is, all right. I agree with him. That just gives ammunition as to why maybe you want to sit out. I get it. He's also the reason Chador Sanders finally got drafted in the fifth round.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I saw that. Yeah. Now, that is the story. Rich, if you took a picture with the new Pope, it would just be you in the picture. Yeah, because I told you, the Pope has a scrambler. I tried to selfie myself with the Pope once. Didn't work a long time ago. Hey, for all we know, Sequin was trying to talk him out of it.
Starting point is 00:31:43 Right? So everybody's so judgy, man. Yeah. But that's social media, though. And it's, you've said it in the past, and I'll quote Covino, because I think we all follow this way. Social media allowed everyone to think their opinion on everything mattered. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Your opinion on everything doesn't matter. Maybe to you. But everyone's entitled to their wrong opinion, I guess. Yeah, it's like the old expression, like, there's no such thing as a wrong opinion. I doubt that these days. I see a lot of opinions. I'm like, yeah, that's just wrong. It doesn't matter what you think.
Starting point is 00:32:13 So there's a story about Travis Kelsey and Ryan Reynolds. Oh, boy, juice. And we're going to get to that after your phone calls, 87799 on Fox. Say what's up to Emmett? It's been a minute. Olympia. Hey, Emmett. What's up, Emmett?
Starting point is 00:32:27 what's going on guys it's been a while how are you guys doing we're good man what's up now i think with this whole like sayquan trump thing man i mean if it was me no matter what president no matter who it is someone that big i'm meeting them but i also understand the point of where like jlin her he's like you know i don't really want to meet him you know it's it's his right as a man you know it first amendment freedom of speech but what i will say about like everyone be an outrage about this because vino said it perfectly respectfully stop it you're in the wrong because America at this point, I hate to kind of get political, but the story's kind of forcing us to is America is super divided at this point where we can't respect. You know, like, for example, I'm not saying you are, but maybe Kavino, he may lean a little bit more left or right in his views, and maybe I don't agree with that.
Starting point is 00:33:11 And people get really mad at that and they can't be friends and they can't hear the simple opinions. I think that's why Saquan is getting all this hate and all this heat, because even if it were Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, it would be the same exact thing from the other side of. oh look at him and the thing with sayquan is it's not like oh he's just hanging out with trump because he likes trump he literally said i love the office i play golf with obama like it's just i respect them and that's something that we should all have you know we should all respect the president of the united states well said man yeah and i appreciate it thank you emitt wraps it up so nicely put a little bow on and everything uh now kelsey and ryan reynolds man this is a friendship i thought was going to flourish but perhaps i was wrong we all
Starting point is 00:33:55 know the backstory. I don't need to get into the gossip of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, you know, went from the most love couple to, ooh, they did that Baldoni guy dirty, and now a sudden it's coming out, you know, allegedly, is she the problem? And then Ryan Reynolds. Not everybody knows the story, though. It's a hard one to follow.
Starting point is 00:34:11 To be honest, I haven't cared that much about it. Either of mine, but it's a big story. But I think that Cliff Notes are his wife, Blake lively. I'm sorry, did you say, His wife. Did I do a Borat? Did I do a Chorat? He did like, he did a Trumpy Borat.
Starting point is 00:34:27 His wife. This is my wife. His wife. Ryan Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, the actress, beautiful actress, worked with this dude Justin Baldoni. There was all these sexual tension or allegations on set, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:34:42 They're all suing each other for hundreds of millions of dollars. And Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are very close with Taylor Swift. That's where that comes into play, right? So close that when she started dating Travis Kelsey, were double dates and apparently Ryan Reynolds and Kelsey followed each other on social media. Ooh. Became pals.
Starting point is 00:35:04 Bromance. Now, it comes out that during all this drama with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively versus that Baldoni guy, Blake Lively said some pretty lame-ass stuff. Like I got, you know, she was Calisi and Taylor Swift. It was one of her dragons and like if you messed with her, then you got to deal with the Swifties. And people are like, oh, yeah. Oh, how weak. Long story short, that stifled their friendship.
Starting point is 00:35:30 So now, I don't know who even cares to look this up, but Travis Kelsey stopped following Ryan Reynolds on Instagram. Ah! No, no! You want it! How lame that this matters in 2025. But here's my question to you. It is 2025.
Starting point is 00:35:50 So you could, you know, back in the 90s, remember what people used to say? It's the 90s. Well, we can't act like it doesn't. matter because anytime someone's in a contract negotiation or there's trouble in paradise with a player and a team, what's the first thing they do? They unfollow that team or their team on social media. And those things sound ridiculous. Yeah, and it makes people speculate.
Starting point is 00:36:11 Like, ooh, it sounds ridiculous. Glebor Torres stopped following the Yankees. But those type of ridiculous things could even make like a Dan Byers update. It's legit news. It'll be like, did you see Debo Samuel stop following? Like, these are sadly legit headlines. So I ask you, do you unfollow people in the regular? Like if someone makes you, have you unfollowed anyone?
Starting point is 00:36:34 Like I'm talking ex-girlfriends, maybe like, if you're, let's say your girlfriend, Jordan. Yes. Not Belichick's girlfriend, Jordan. Is it Kavino or Belichick? Mine, yeah. Which Jordan stopped an interview? Not mine. I know Belichick's Jordan.
Starting point is 00:36:52 If your girlfriend, Jordan, let's say you're friends with her parents. pal, Jessica. Okay. If you know Jessica's dude because you've been on double dates and then they break up, do you then have to be like, I unfollow him?
Starting point is 00:37:06 No, no, not at all. Is that lame? Yeah, it's very lame. But there are people I do unfollow. So I can't say there's not an art to the unfollow, as stupid as that means, I'm because, yo, if you're squeezing my shoes
Starting point is 00:37:19 the wrong way and you get personal with me on social media, I don't know you and you're like just trying to look from my attention in a negative way. Unfollow. I got time for that. There's a host of you that plays those games. Vijay Husky, the weekend guy? The big poppy of vanilla?
Starting point is 00:37:35 Yeah. Vijay. Apparently there's people around here like if he gets in a big sports debate with someone, he's like, unfollow. I mean, I'm not going to do that to a colleague just because we got into a debate. But I'm saying if some guy's saying some hateful or crossing the line sort of stuff where it's offensive to me or my family or my girlfriend or whatever or my kid or like, Who is this guy crossed the line? Unfollow.
Starting point is 00:37:57 I don't need that negativity in my life. Danny Jay. We get that a lot in sports and social media. So I'm not saying there isn't a time and place to unfollow because there absolutely is. Is it? My ex-wife. I don't follow her. You think I follow her?
Starting point is 00:38:11 You don't need to see that? You unfollowed her? I'm sure at some point I don't remember doing it. It wasn't a monumental moment where I had like an unfollow party. But I did because I didn't want to see what was going on in her life. I wanted to move forward with mine. So there's an art to it, and I think there's do's and don'ts to make this Kelsey unfollows Ryan Reynolds thing.
Starting point is 00:38:31 A headline is ridiculous. Not to mention the other side of the story is Blake lively and Taylor Swift are still friends, according to social media. I mean, they still follow each other, right? That's the other side note of the story. I think there's an art to it. I think there's do's and don'ts.
Starting point is 00:38:47 I don't put much weight into this one. Hey, Danny Jay, would you unfollow? Here's an interesting one. Let's say one of your siblings got a lot. divorce. Would you unfollow their ex-husband or wife? No, I don't think so. If someone asked me to...
Starting point is 00:39:01 Unless, yeah, I was going to say, unless I was asked to, or they wronged my family. I'll tell you why, too. I'll tell you why. There are friends to this day that I don't talk to, because they would always give me updates on what exes were doing, because they still kept up with my ex. Not my ex-wife, like ex-girlfriends and stuff like that, right? They're like, oh, I saw your ex-girlfriend was doing this and this and that. I'm like, hey, dude, respectfully. can you stop giving me updates?
Starting point is 00:39:26 I don't care. I don't care. And then they would still give me updates. And like, hey, you know what? You want to be friends with her? Go right ahead. Then we're not friends because I don't want to hear about it. So I think if someone asks you kindly and respectfully,
Starting point is 00:39:40 hey, Rich, can you unfollow my ex or just stop talking about it? Yeah, yeah. Then I think you should. Well, with that said, a great follow. Dan Byer. Oh, hell, yeah. What's up, the best follow. The best follow.
Starting point is 00:39:53 The Sacramento King's, follow the lead of Doug Christie when Mike Brown was fired, and now Doug Christie's the full-time head coach in Sacramento. The interim tag has been dropped by the team. He gets a multi-year deal to be their head coach. They were 27 and 24 when Christie took over the job after Brown's dismissal. Tonight, four game fives. There are three in the Eastern Conference,
Starting point is 00:40:14 so we've got some wacky times, including the Bucks and Pacers coming up at the top of the hour. Pacers are up 3-1 in that series. Pistons and Knicks will play at 7.30 Eastern Time. Magic and Celtics 830 Eastern in Boston, Clippers and Nuggets 10 o'clock Eastern. That series is tied up at two apiece. For over 40 years,

Starting point is 00:40:51 with $40 million guaranteed. Kittles' average annual salary of $19.1 million is the highest in the NFL. 49ers have also signed tackle DJ Humphreys to a deal. Vikings gave linebacker Andrew Van Ginkalo a one-year extension worth $23 million. The commander's cut kicker Zinn Gonzalez and signed former Colts kicker Matt Gay to a one-year deal with $4 million. UFLW wide receiver, Samson Nakua, the brother of Puka Nakua, suspended one game by the UFL. He's a member of the Michigan Panthers this past weekend. He slapped a St. Louis fan after the game and was given a one-game suspension today.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Did he deserve it? Was it an ass slap or face-lap? It was a face slap leaning over. But you also then you wonder, okay, do we have a little WWE work here going on? I would think slapping a fan more than a one-game suspension, right? But they only give them a one game. Maybe they try to distinguish themselves as a, because the crazy league.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Yeah, that could be. Like, yo, you get in our way, we slap fans. You got to watch the Michigan Panthers. They hit fans. That was the only fan there. I know. That is actually not true because St. Louis has a strong following. Yeah, there's a couple teams.
Starting point is 00:42:03 You apologize to St. Louis, Iowa, Sam. Sorry, St. Louis. I do love you, St. Louis. I do. How many unfollowed did you just get from St. Louis fans? No St. Louis followers for Sam anymore. All right. Thank you, Dan Byer.
Starting point is 00:42:15 We got more, Kavino & Rich. Next right here, Tuesday. Fox Sports Radio. Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers. And guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, name? Huge news.
Starting point is 00:42:26 We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
Starting point is 00:42:43 I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. And we were thinking I'm originally calling it. one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers was... This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:59 I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, people could call in and say, Hey Jonas, and then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title

Starting point is 00:47:15 And it's time for our Tyraq play of the day. Some pushing and shoving between the Warriors and Rockets last night. And Golden State pulled the way a 3-1 lead in that series. Pajamsky dribbles in. Leaves it for Draymond. Draymond to Butler. Butler back to Pajamsky. Pajamsky, dribbles in, shoots on the go.
Starting point is 00:47:33 Baked it in and got found. He is seeing a huge bucket right now. It's like a hula hoop for him. Yeah, that's courtesy of 957 the game Warriors Radio Network. And that's our Tire Act play of the day for over 40 years. Here's tire rack has been helping customers find the right tires for how, what, and where they drive. Starting point is 00:48:05 And Pajewski has one of those names, almost like a Sheshefsky or the quarterback drafted by the Saints where the name Shuck where it's like, that's Shaw. Shuff, Shoff, Shok. Yeah, he's got a jam in the middle there. Jam. To me. Pajamsky. To me. I feel terrible. Didn't you used to wear those footsie Pajamskys when you were a little?
Starting point is 00:48:28 That was my favorite. Didn't you wear like Winnie the Poo ones? Dude, I have, me and my son have matching Minecraft and Pokemon Pajamskies. So before we get into Sasaki, your boy, Danny G. I do want to give props. First of all, I got to say props to Pittsburgh. That's really what this comes down to. The city of Pittsburgh?
Starting point is 00:48:48 Because they put French fries on their sandwiches? No, because we've had great times there. It's true. We have great friends there. But you know what I really respect about Pittsburgh? Oh, that's Sid Bream and Paul Skeins both have great mustaches? No, I respect Andy Van Slyke and Cecilia O'Gwante. Oh, you got your earring inspiration from Barry Bonds?
Starting point is 00:49:10 I respect that too. I just respect that when it comes to their sports teams. Oh, you respect to Terry Bradshaw never took it home and he just left. He just left. I respect his Hulk Hogan haircut. I respect his Ben Franklin hairdo. What else could you respect? No, I respect that they've stayed consistent in uniform with their color choices.
Starting point is 00:49:27 Like, when you think of Pittsburgh, you think of black and yellow. You really do. And I think that's so cool. And I don't understand why other cities. Yeah, Willie Sturgel. Dave Parker with those hats. Dude, the We Are family sort of vibe that they got. And everything is black and yellow.
Starting point is 00:49:41 If you live in Pittsburgh, you need two colors, black and yellow. And everything goes with everything. Steelers, pirates, I get it. Now, fun fact, I learned this, Danny G. When I was at an L.A. King's game. I'm not an L.A. guy. I'm a New York guy that moved out here. I forgot that the L.A. Kings were the same color as the Lakers.
Starting point is 00:49:59 And the fun fact goes when Jerry Buss sold the Kings to get their own identity. Plus, because of the popularity of the Raiders merchandise, the L.A. Kings dropped the Lakers colors and actually went to Raiders colors. Yeah, they wanted some of that NWA money. Yeah. So why am I giving prompts to Pittsburgh? because the Chicago White Sox revealed their City Connect jerseys and their Chicago Bulls inspired. And I really think they should lean into these harder because they look like Chicago Bulls colors.
Starting point is 00:50:33 They're black and red. And I'm like, hey, the white socks should just lean into that more and stick with that. Add a little red. Start making it a little uniform to the basketball team. The Cubs are blue. It goes totally against it. Yeah, but that's why they could win when it comes to that. I think they try to incorporate this a little more.
Starting point is 00:50:47 I think more cities should do it. You know, there's a little semblance of this in New York. The Knicks, the Mets, and the Islanders are blue and orange. Yeah. So props, if you haven't seen them, look them up. They're really cool. Yeah, I love the City Connect. In fact, Washington still might have one of the better ones.
Starting point is 00:51:02 I like the Mets one. So City Connect, your favorite at Rich Davis, at Steve Kavino. We got more next. We're going to talk a little bit about Sasaki and his bathroom. Hang tight. Hey, guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
Starting point is 00:51:15 I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts.
Starting point is 00:51:26 We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it, but, you know. Tired and sick. Tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
