Thanks for Megan Huss, part of your day. One hour from now where Colin was right, where Colin was wrong. So I sat down yesterday and watched a ton of the Olympics.

Started in the morning watching a Team USA. struggle early, that's sort of their MO, and then come back to beat Serbia and Yokic. But I think it's, J. Mack, it's pretty obvious. There's one player for Team USA and it jumps off the television

set. One player we've been told for years is Shaq. And that one player does not fit with this team. He's not a great feeble player. That's very clear so far. Yeah. So two years ago, the NBA media,

the NBA voted Joel Mbid over a Yokic as MVP. It was really an anti-yokic vote because Yokic is a more valuable player. He's a better player and it's not particularly close if you watch yesterday.

But the league's stewards, the media, did not want Yokic to win a third straight MVP even though he's hands down the most valuable player and you saw it yesterday. It's why the NBA media regularly kind of chooses cool stories over the truth.

And I think increasingly people want the truth from their media. But I think it's official watching Embed yesterday where Steve Kerr pulled him off the floor, two and a half minutes into the game against Serbia. He is the most over-hyped, coddled, and over-discussed, my bad, player in the NBA. I mean, Yokic and Embed on the floor at the same time, it's not close. They're not the same player. They're not remotely close to the same level of player. Beyond padding his stats, Philadelphia keeps running coaches through him and teammates through him.

And in the weaker Eastern Conference, he is yet to win a second round playoff series. I'm not asking for much, just maybe one Eastern Conference Vinals. Milwaukee was all beat up this year. I mean, the Knicks fell apart physically, so did Miami. Can you win a second playoff series in the significantly weaker conference? The other thing is he's never played 70 games. Remember, his career started. He was hurt for the first two years.

Never played 70 games. We bang on AD, but AD the last couple of years is there every night. So you can't depend on him physically. And then you watch this Olympics, and it is the best players in the world. And he is an atrocious fit. He doesn't fit at all. And remember, the feeble rules don't call as many fouls. And he lives at the free throw line.

So you take that element. out of his game at the Olympics, he's not only not effective, he hurts the team. And Feeba rules are good for Biggs. Yokic is dominant. A.D.'s great. Bams great. M. B.D. can't play here. And again, when you watch Yokich and M. Bede on the floor at the same time, they've given him

James Harden. They've given him Jimmy Butler. They've given him Ben Simmons. Remember, Ben Simmons made an all-star game. And he can't win his second round playoff series in the East. Yokic has never had a single teammate that's been an all-star. he's already got a trophy. And yesterday, the plus minus for Yokic,

Yokic almost single-handedly played even with Team USA when he was on the floor. 8181. When Yokic was off the floor, Serbia was minus 26, and he was only off the floor for a few minutes. M. B. meanwhile, was the only American player with a minus in the plus-minus category.

He's getting heckled now by French fans because he chose to play for the United States. My only question now, can you make trades during the Olympics? Can we get Wemby? I'll give you M-Bed and future draft picks. Just give us Wemby. But we can officially now stop comparing M-Bed and Yokic. Yokic is healthy.

Yokic can be complimentary in the star. Yokic makes every teammate better. I was thinking about this this morning, is the only three players in my life that I've ever watch basketball that make virtually every teammate they play with better. Magic, LeBron and Yokic. Michael Jordan was great. He took away shots from a lot of good players. Barclay was great. Steph's great.

They don't always elevate every single teammate. Magic, LeBron and Yokic. But this is more because we knew Yokic was great. And we knew J. Mack called it that Serbia would be a tough out. They were for about 70% of the game until the very end. But in the end, this is about

Embed. Let's not put him in that class anymore. He can't stay healthy. He doesn't win enough. He clogs up the offense, and it was all on display yesterday. So let's now address the elephant in the room for Team USA. So everybody likes Jason Tatum. We talked about the Celtics championship.

It's the first collaborative championship I ever remember where the fifth guy meant as much as the number two guy. So Steve Kerr couldn't find a spot. And Steve's a nice guy. He'd like to play everybody. He could not find a single minute for Jason Tatum. And he wants to play him. But it was so bad that he literally, Steve wanted to address it and apologize after a blowout win and the inability to get Jason Tatum off the bench. at all.

Jason's going to play. Every game is going to be different based on matchups. He's a total pro. He's, you know, first team all NBA three years in a row. I felt like an idiot not playing him. But in a 40-minute game, you can't play more than 10. You really can't. And, you know, so I just, I think he's an amazing guy, great player, and handled it

beautifully. And, you know, he'll be back out there next game. So he's always been a player. we said this for years. When Marcus Smart and Jalen Brown were on the team, I think Brad Stevens, the GM, traded Marcus Smart away because he laid in games was more aggressive and demanded the ball more than Jason Tatum. Now, Jalen Brown always tried to make sure, you know,

Tatum got his touches. Marcus Smart didn't care. He's a defensive guy. He just took the ball. So Brad Stevens, the GM of the Celtics, had a problem. Jalen Brown is taking the ball away from him, and the much less talented Marcus Smart is taking the ball away from him. So I'll get him Drew Holliday, who will be more complimentary to Tatum.

I'll get back to that in a second. But what he lacks is that rip your heart out DNA, which most of our great players have had. Steph and LeBron and Michael and Shaq and, you know, bird and magic. He doesn't have it. he's highly skilled he's a great guy but he's almost submissive at times and now now when you put it and i've been arguing this for years and got a lot of pushback he's the third best player the fourth plus play no he's not i'd argue he's way at the back of the top 10 players and when you put

him around all these alphas and all these highly skilled players he disappears he shrinks and i feel bad for him he's a nice kid but you know there's there's always been those kids that when you put him around other aggressive kids they just don't fit and he doesn't it's not that he lacks skill

but the other thing is there's no part of his game when you surround him with great players that stands out shooting well no that's that's that's Kevin Durant that's Steph Curry and Derek White defense no that's that's Anthony Davis

that's Drew Holiday and Bam. Leadership. No, that's LeBron and Steph. Athletically. No, that's Ant. There is nothing on this team he's best at. Ant's the most athletic. LeBron, the great leader.

Stefan K.D., Booker, the great shooter. Even Derek White shoots. He's not a great defender compared to the... So what is he great? He's B plus at everything. Jack of all trades at everything. And he's a top 10-ish player. He's good.

He wins. He's collaborative. He's swell. But man, you are really seeing. And let's circle back to Brad Stevens, the Celtics GM. Why did he get rid of Marcus Smart? Go back to that final year and those playoff games, and we often set it on the air. Marcus Smart.

Forget Jalen Brown. Marcus Smart is taking shots from Jason Tatum. And Brad Stevens said, I got to get him out of town. If we're going to have a guy taking him out of town, if we're going to have a guy taking shots from him. It's going to be either Jalen Brown or Drew Holliday is a better offensive player. And then Stevens also got poor Zingas. So Brad Stevens, who just one executive of the year, has told you everything you need to know about Tatum. That in big spots, against Alphas and surrounded by Alphas, he's not going to trust him all the time. Sometimes yes, all the time, no.

In fact, he can't even trust him to get, take the shot late. Forget make it. Just take. Just take it. So I think what you're seeing is what Brad Stevens, his first NBA coach and Brad Stevens, his current Celtic GM. It's what Brad Stevens is doing. General managers tell you what they think of their players by who they surround them with, who they add, who they push out the door. And this is not a shot at him, but Steve Kerr is telling you, Brad Stevens told you, my eyes are telling you, your eyes are telling you, he's not a top. player. He's a very good player, highly skilled, collaborative,

a championship player, but between the Eastern Conference finals, the finals, and the Olympics, it's truth serum. He may be the 10th best player in the game. He's not a top fiver, and when you surround him with alphas, he can shrink. It's just his personality.

All right. Got a little NFL camp stories percolating with the Steelers, Tua, Jordan Love, both signed massive contracts. You had a theory on when they story broke on that. You were saying that they dumped it. Yeah, Jordan Love and Tua both got massive raises, and they announced it, what, like

4 o'clock Friday afternoon, middle of the Olympics opening ceremony. I didn't hear either fan base. I don't know, maybe you did. Outrage. Oh, my gosh. How do we give Tua of all the money? Jordan Love got all the money. People were paying attention to other stuff.

The Olympic opening ceremony has got huge ratings. I haven't even seen a real breakdown. Like in granular fashion, where Jordan Love ranks among highest paid quarterbacks, too, and none of that stuff. They did a really smart job leaking it late on a Friday. Summer, you know, it's summer Friday. Everybody's taken off. That's right. And the Olympics are in full swing.

We're paid to do that. You see the little drips? Is that going to become a forest fire? Is that faucet going to break officially? So keep your eye on the Steelers, Russell, Justin Fields. So according to Jeremy Fowler, a lot of the media has downplayed this, Jeremy Fowler is poking and prodding. He is not.

He says the Steelers are, according to his sources, taking a very open-minded approach to this. Russell is now hurt. And so this is important. We've all gone into workplaces. And sometimes, you know, I've had seven or eight jobs in my life. Some workplaces, I remember taking a job in Tampa. And I felt like everybody was old and I was young.

And I kind of felt like displaced and didn't really connect. In the Vegas newsroom or at Fox, It depends. You walk into workplaces. Some are older. Some are younger. Some are more alpha. Some are whatever.

But Pittsburgh's workplace under Mike Tomlin is alpha, loud, drama, physical. We don't think it as a brilliant schematic offensive Kansas City, Rams, San Francisco. No, no, no. They blow stuff up. They knock you over. They punch you in the mouth. I mean, yesterday there's a story, and this is not a unique Steeler story where George Pickens Star receiver got into a screaming match with a coach.

That's Pittsburgh's culture. That's not Russell. Russell's focused. An adult can be sort of into Russell Wilson. This is a guy who, you know, you want my phone number, go through my agent. Those are the stories. He's kind of mature. And I think to some of the younger players, I wonder about the fit in Pittsburgh.

which is blue collar, tough alpha physical, you know, loud, loud. And a shouting match yesterday with a star receiver and a coach. And so here you got, he hasn't won a Super Bowl in 11 years. Last time he's been to one, 11 years. Justin Fields is young, cooler, athletic, 11 years younger, more athletic. And I think he's going to connect with a lot of young teammates for the Steelers. And now he's getting the snaps and Russell isn't because Russell's banged up. So you cannot convince me, look at that Steeler's schedule. There are two game losing

streaks all over that schedule. And they've struggled to get the offensive line right. So unless the offensive line suddenly gets great, if the Steelers are losing games, it's not going to be because of their defense or their pass rush or their toughness. Those are hallmarks and staples under Tomlin. They're going to be losing because they can't. can't get the offense right. And who gets blamed for that? The quarterback. Now, Tomlin historically has had patience with Kenny Pickett, but he didn't have Justin Fields

backing up Kenny Pickett. So you look at that, they could easily go on the road and go, oh, and two, to Atlanta and Denver to start. Then it's Harbaugh, Anthony Richardson, DAC. Oh, they'll beat the Raiders, but it's Aaron Rogers the next week. Well, they'll beat the Giants. Well, then they're at Washington, Lamar Jackson, Deshawn Watson, Joe Burrow, Deshawn Watson, Jalen Hertz, Lamar Jackson.

That schedule, the last six, seven weeks starting in like week 10, week 11, that is just landmines everywhere. So I just think it's interesting. Work environments, Pittsburgh's got one of the more alpha, tough, physical, motivational, trash-talking rooms in the league. And I'm not making a judgment on it. That's just what it is. I mean, a few years ago, Mike Tomlin was running up the sidelines. It looks like he wanted to tackle a player during a game. That's what they are.

Heavy on the drama and the emotion and physicality in alpha. And I just don't feel like that's not necessarily Russell Wilson. Here's Mike Tomlin talking about the quarterback snaps right now. From a health standpoint, no real update. Russ worked partially today and expect him to get going a little bit as we come off this off day. You expect to be able to see Russ in some teen periods next week? That's what I said. Yeah, he's...

Mike Tomlton's already getting a little short with the Pittsburgh media. J-Mack with the news. No, no, no, no, turn on the news. This is the herd line news. All right, let's start with your buddy. Jordan Love, we've talked about this guy for goodness. Feels like months. He got his four-year extension.

Colin, $220 million. Are you kidding me? He joins Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence is the highest paid quarterbacks in the league. He's got his eye on a 2,200 square foot fixer-upper down the street from the stadium. You can buy a nice condo in Green Bay for that. Matt LaFleur does not expect love to change following the big payday. It goes back to too much is given, much as expected, and that's just the reality of our league. But I think he'll embrace that.

I don't think you'll see a difference in the person. And I don't think we would do something like that if we felt that way. The thing that's so impressive about him is just how resilient he is. Like, never gets phased, just continues to fight. And I think that says a lot about him. I think that's a big reason why we're standing here today talking about him. It seems to bother you, rankle you. Me?

Yeah. Well, I'm happy. He got paid. He got generational wealth. That's awesome. He also got the number of. 55, which I'm curious as to your thoughts, because

when Joe Burrow gets in a, he's been to a Super Bowl, he's beat Mahomes, he's been to AFC title games. We've got basically 10 games of sample size of Jordan Love being quality. Did you play off in the eight game run? So one of the reasons that I would defend this contract is

because of what's surrounded. Like, whereas you pay DAC a lot of money, do I trust Jerry Jones to get his emotion and ego vanity out of the way and surround him with good players. Part of the reason this is, like, you pay Trevor Lawrence big money, do you trust the Jaguars not to screw it up around him?

I don't know. But if you pay Jordan love that money, you know, it's like, well, the O line will be good. The receivers and tight ends are good. The coach is good. They don't have a crazy owner. So I feel confident in that this money, there won't be any landmines. I mean, Farv and Aaron had no landmines for years until they created them. Farv got stubborn, didn't want any new offense, and Aaron got weird. Other than that,

it was just occasional playoff disappointments, but there's no real drama in Green Bay other than quarterbacks creating them. And in both Farv and Rogers case, that was when they were much older and richer. So, I mean, like, if I said to you, take out Aaron Rogers over the last 20 years, has Green Bay ever had drama with any player? So it's like, and I'm not just banging on Aaron, but he kind of created the darkness retreat and I want to retire I don't know what I want to do so my takeaway whereas the Jags have controversy every three years you know Dallas has it every 15 minutes so I don't worry about spending that kind of money it's like buying a really nice car well if it's protected in the garage you got a you got nobody in the family ever has gotten in a car wrecked everybody's a

safe driver I feel good about the purchase I guess the concern with this love contract is it's so large, when does the real money kick in and he start to become onerous against the cap? Well, and here's the problem. The contract, you know, we don't have access to the contract. It's not, it's basically the agents g handed to the reporters. So they did this on a Friday afternoon. People have started their weekend. So we haven't seen the real numbers to figure out, is this bad immediately or is just bad in three years? I would load him up now because if you look at their receiving O-line and Tide Encore, it's cheap for three years. What I don't want to do is pay him huge money four years from now, I would rather front-load it. And then when I have to sign all these

excellent tight-ins, receivers, and offensive linemen, they just start after the left tackle in the first round. I got to pay that guy in five years. So to me, pay Jordan now huge money for three years. Then, then he said, I'm paying other guys making choices. Can you get a little bit more? This is not a team-friendly deal necessarily. That's okay. The first time you can make money, I get Take the money. Well, it might be team friendly. Remember, the Trevor Lawrence one, he hasn't accomplished as much as Love did more in the postseason than Lawrence has done in the playoffs in his career. He's played longer.

The thing is, the Lawrence deal doesn't fully kick in for another two years. So they've got wiggle room. Do the Packers have wiggle room? We should find that out by the end of the day once again. I just, I think the Packers draft so well that I don't remember ever a time. I don't think, and Jordan's not the kind of guy that's going to say, hey, I want Randall Cobb to play. I want this. He doesn't feel like a demand.

If that happens, it's probably seven years from now. So if a team drafts well, like the Patriots don't. They don't draft well. But if a team does draft well, then you're always in a better spot with your cap. Because the Packers not only draft well, but they draft and develop well. They're almost collegiate in how they feel. So they just, they don't get into these tough spots unless the quarterback makes certain demands, but I just don't worry about their cap issues.

There's the old book, The Millionaire Next Door, the school teachers who are millionaires. I feel like that's the Packers. They just handled their money right. Well, I just, I think we went a little overboard with how hot they were at the end of the last season, the big win over Dallas. Like, I don't, are they a top three team in the NFC? Is Jordan Love a top three quarterback in the end?

Like, I just don't know. Well, take Stafford out. Why would you take Stafford out? Well, I'm just saying, Stafford is the most talented. guy in the NFC. Okay, Jalen Hertz is probably number two. Oh, I would, I think... He has a larger sample size of quality football.

Yeah, but Gough... Gough throws a better ball and never gets hurt. Jalen Hurd gets hurt and has had one season. Okay, so fine, fine. I'll give you Gough and Jalen Hurts. Then I think... I would take Jordan Love over Jalen Hurts. Oh, come on.

Doesn't get hurt, bigger arm. I'm just, I get the mobility with a better arm and never gets hurt. Okay. I just hope the audience remembers this, because... No, Stafford 1, Gough, 2. Now, again, I haven't seen Caleb Williams or Jaden Daniels play. I feel confident after Stafford and Goff saying, Jordan Love can go toe to toe and with anybody.

Went to toe to toe to with Brock Purdy and lost in the playoffs. The roster was a little different. Also went toe to toe to against Dak, and it was like Ambide and Yokic. It wasn't close. That's harsh. All right, let's move on to Tuah. He also got paid late on Friday, four years, 212. $1.4 million became the fourth highest paid quarterback at practice on Sunday.

He grabbed the mic and celebrated with the Dolphins fans who were in audience. We're going to need you guys to hype us up. It's not out here. That's kind of cringy. It's exciting. Stop it. Come on. Well, he just won the lottery.

$212 million contract. Get fired up. If he was a linebacker, receiver, corner, I'd be fine with it. Oh, quarterback can't grab the mic down? I don't love it. and say, show me the money. Wasn't this like Leonardo DiCaprio and Wolf of Wall Street? And he was a jerk.

He was a jerk. He was a schmock. That guy's a hero. No, I'm kidding, kidding. That's a little harsh. So you're anti-Dua now, huh? I don't know. It's just, I've stuck.

Listen, I've said it before. But your hat on forward. Don't grab mics and say, show me the bag. There's probably 2,000 dolphins fans there. He's getting them all juiced up. Now, that'll equal what in the regular season? It's Sunday in July. Man, you are.

Woo, coward coming in. He loves the Jordan love deal. Too a cringy. Wow. We got some stats on Tua's career here. So against winning teams, he's been an okay quarterback. But boy, is he a bully. When he's facing the bums, look at those numbers against a drags in the league.

Against winning teams, he's a backup. Oh, he's... No, no, tell the radio audience. Against winning teams, to a complete 61% of his throws with an 84-passer rating, 31 touchdowns, 20 picks. That's a backup. I mean, the sample size is 24 games. Okay.

Oh, so a season and a half. That's not a real... Remember, he started his career with Flores, didn't he? Brian Flores? Brian Flores was not a bad coach. He's not an offensive guy. Now with McDaniel, okay. But anyway, look at the numbers against bad teams.

Show me all the bad teams 500 and below you face in January and February. Oh, you don't. That's all I care about. I don't care about how you do it. We both can agree. Tua's not winning a Super Bowl with the Dolphins, right? That's obvious. Dude, he can't. All the best teams in the AFC are north

outside, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Baltimore, Buffalo. And you've got that noodle arm, you're taking up north thinking you're going to win in January with that thing? Well, they got to get a home game in January. That's for sure. A home game, they need all home games. And then a Super Bowl in a dome or in a warm weather.

Oh, gosh. All right. Jeez. Let's go to Dak Prescott, the final. I mean, you're just crushing the guy. Five. Off his best season of his career. Anyways, Dak Prescott, he's the final guy who needs a contract.

But no deal yet. He and teammates C.D. Lamb are both waiting for extensions. Stephen Jones said over the weekend, because he never stops talking, that the team recently sent new offers to both players and would carry a characterize the conversations as upbeat. Jones said they're having good talks and likes where the cowboys stand. Oh my gosh. I like where they stand too.

Where's that? Nine and eight. I just, I mean, it's late July and it's like, yeah, I'm upbeat that we'll get this figured out. For the record, the staff this morning gave me the highest paid quarterbacks now that Jordan Love and Tua have signed their deal. So I have a list of the highest paid quarterbacks for the radio audience. Trevor Lawrence is one, Jordan,

2, Borough, Tua. And I go through this list of the 16 highest paid quarterbacks. There's only 13 of them, I'm okay with it. So let's go through this for the audience. So, as I've said with Trevor Lawrence, do they have a franchise in Jacksonville without him? He's like Ken Griffey

with baseball in Seattle. He's not going to be the highest paid guy in two months. Was it Blaine Gabbard? Not Blaine Gabbard. Bortals took them to the AFC title game and nearly beat the Patriots. Stop acting like Trevor Lawrence is a secret. So, Jordan Love, I don't have a problem with. Burrow, I don't have a problem with. Two is the first one I look at and go, don't love that.

He is a warm weather player, not great physically, injury history. I don't have a problem with golf, Herbert, Lamar, Hertz, Kyler, Deshaun, Mahalms, cousin, Josh Allen, Daniel Jones, who makes $40 million a year, can't play. and then I don't have a problem. Dax contract's not a bad contract. I just think it will limit what you can do for a quarterback that needs help to win. But if I look at all the only contracts of these 16 that I wouldn't have signed.

Like I would just say no. Tua, I think I wouldn't sign that contract. Deshawn Watson, to me, is he's too enigmatic. There's too much crap about him. Wait a minute, though. Jordan Love is making 9 million more than Watson, 10 million more than Mahomes, and you don't have an issue with it? None. Zero. Zero.

That'd be like if, I don't know, there's no other good radio hosts out there, but if one of them was making 10 million more than you, and you're the Mahomes and radio, you'd be outraged. How a better voice, was smarter, had better ratings, so I don't have a problem. Tua, I'm not paying that money. Daniel Jones, I'm not paying that money. Deshawn Watson's off my board. I don't want him in my room. I just done nothing about him works for me. You don't want to give the guy a second chance, do you?

No. Okay. So other than that, you can make an argument for all of them. Now, Dak Prescott, at 40 million currently I'm okay with, he's going to get to 55 or 56. I, listen, it's not a good quarterback class. They're going to be too good to get a top pick. So Dallas is trapped. They've trapped themselves again. But most of these, my point is, the average per year, most of these I can stomach.

The 201 I'm not signing. So what's interesting is just looking at this, just this, if you're like, holy cow, I'll take Matt Stafford at 40 million. I mean, we just declared he's the best quarterback in the NFC. Yeah. Yeah, Jordan Love 55 mil. Great. What can I get for the extra 15 million I'm saving a quarterback? Remember.

It doesn't totally work like that, but in this. But remember, the Packers have drafted so well offensively, they're not paying anybody except him. Jacobs and him. So you have to spend the money somewhere, and so they're not a big free agent player. So Green Bay's thing is we don't get top free agents. All right, so who do we spend the money on? Historically, they spend it on Favre, Rogers, and now Jordan Love. Green Bay pays the right guy.

How's that working out for them? Two Super Bowl wins? In what, 30 years? 32 years, number one offense, nine. Number one offense. Conference championships. Two Super Bowl wins. That's it.

And that's it. 30 plus years. 32 years, nine times, almost a third of the time, they reached the NFC Conference Championship. And you're asking me, what? I didn't even throw in the BART star multiple championships. What is that? You weren't even bored yet, were you?

If you want some 70s baseball, go watch that HBO Macs story. Charlie Hustle, I just finished it. It's so good. And the first episode, for anybody over 55 years old, it is, you're going back to 1970s

baseball when we actually watched baseball and talked about it. It's so good. And by the way, Johnny Bench and Pete Rose couldn't stand each other. I didn't know that. You know, there wasn't, back then, you didn't hear stuff like that, but Bench and Rose just do not get along to this day. So, and Bench

was my favorite player, and Pete Rosemus was my second favorite player and who knew. I want to go back to something we said earlier, and we were talking about Russell Wilson and Justin Field, and I think this is a really tough schedule, especially week 11 on for the Steelers, and I think Justin Fields is going to play more than people think. There is this sense, and I do believe Russell Wilson right now today

is a better quarterback in the NFL than Justin Field, especially fourth quarter, I think, but they both have limitations. Russell sighs. He is aged. He's not as nimble and as twitchy, and he's always struggled throwing the ball between the hash marks. He didn't see the field particularly well. For Justin Fields, he's not always accurate. He's struggled to stay healthy. But it's interesting, if you go back to the last two seasons of both, and Iber Fluse, so Justin Fields had a bad old line for both of them. Well, his line wasn't great for many of his years, but he had a defensive coach. Russell Wilson had an offensive coach in both years, and their numbers are shockingly similar. So Russell won a little bit more and was a little bit more accurate, but both threw too many picks. Both didn't average much per game. Both didn't win much. So when I say, I think this is going to be more competitive than people think.

I think Russell's a bit of an odd fit with the personality of Mike Tomlin and the culture. I did think, I think Russell would win you more games than Justin Fields. I absolutely believe that. But remember, you're going a two-game losing streak. And Tomlin got criticized for being overly loyal to Kenny Pickett. So he may not be quite as loyal to Russell Wilson. And again, Justin's going to be able to show off at practice. Bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic, younger, more relatable to a lot of the young teammates.

So keep your eye on it. My point being is they are statistically the last two years. And Russell had two different offensive head coaches. Their numbers are very similar. So there's been a lot of talk today on our show about Jordan Love's contract. So my take is, Tua, I wouldn't sign that check. Jordan Love, I got no problem with it. So I'm not a sports historian or a sports romantic.

Okay, just who's better now? I'm good with that. I think of myself as if I ever didn't do this and I could be an sports executive, what I would never want to be is trapped. I would rather be bad than trapped. I can get out of bad by drafting better. You can't get out of trapped. So signing these big quarterback contracts, they come with some anxiety.

But if you go to the last 10 games that Jordan Love played last year, go look at his numbers. They're fantastic. And that's with the youngest offense in the league. 70% completion percentage. 23 touchdowns, three picks. Passer rating first in the league at 112. Now, go to Aaron Rogers' last 10 starts, including one of them for only a few snaps.

Folks, it's not close. He is a B to a B-minus quarterback. And now he's coming off a surgery. So he completes 62%. of his throws. His ceiling much lower, almost three times the picks of love, passerating much lower. And remember, Jordan Love is younger, faster, healthier, and more athletic. So my take is today, I'm not a sports romantic. Jordan's better than Aaron today. And Jordan has an offensive coach and returns a better offensive line and has a better group, a deeper

a group of tied-in and wide receiver talent. So when you're saying, why are you so comfortable, he is better than Aaron Rogers. So if you're comfortable paying Aaron $40 million a year at 40 years old with a defensive coach in an intense media market, impulsive ownership, then you, if you don't have a problem with that, you've got a problem paying $15 million more for a better roster, potentially, especially on offense? I don't. Here's Jordan about the contract.

being a first round pick there's pressure become the starter of this pressure but there's always pressure and I think that's you know part of the job that you know we sign up for but there's always pressure there's no hiding that but I don't think this

you know I've been at some pretty pressure situation so I think there's always going to be that but just find a way to navigate through this and handle as best I can okay another thing not a cheap shot he's also more focused I don't have a lot of missed OTAs because he was in Egypt

stories with Jordan Love. He's also an ascending player. We haven't seen the best of Jordan Love. We have seen the best of Aaron. That doesn't mean he's bad now, but we've seen the best. And we've seen players age quickly. Russell Wilson age quickly.

So, again, I'm very comfortable for about eight different reasons. I'm comfortable with a Jordan Love contract. So, Dak Prescott now. Now, Dak Prescott, two would just got paid, Jordan Love got paid, and Dax's going to get paid. My guess is it's in the mid to high 50s.

I am somewhere between Jordan Love and Tua on the quarterback salary comfort ranking. I think DAC is more physically dependable and has a history of winning more than Tua. I also think he throws a better deep ball, and I think DAC has shown the ability to go on the road and win games in cold weather. but I think when you sign DAC to $57 million a year, it's not a disastrous contract, even potentially, but it's a limiting one. If you go look at DAC Prescott, and remember, at $58 million,

Dallas has already wedged up against the cap, and they're also going to pay CD Lamb in the next two weeks. So they didn't make any free agent moves this year. They're not making any next year. So it makes you more DAC reliant. Well, we have all these years of seeing Dak when he throws the ball 40 times or more. He is 8 and 16. Jordan Love, to this point in his career, has only had to do that four times, and he's two and two.

And it should be duly noted, he, unlike Dak, is an ascending player. He, unlike Dak, has a bevy of wide receiver and tight-end talent. DAC doesn't. It's Cedilam-centric. So, again, I don't, I don't, I feel DAC needs a lot to win games. I don't feel Jordan Love needs as much, and I trust his coach, his own line, his organization, the current Packer momentum more than I trust DAC. But I would feel more comfortable paying DAC than Tua. So Jordan, I'm totally comfortable with.

DAC, I can deal with it, but you better hit on eight draft picks next year and the year after. And Tua, I wouldn't sign that check. That's where I am today. I wouldn't say, here was Jerry Jones this week on Dax future. I do not that this will be his last year with the Cowboys at all. It's pretty clear, I think. I want to say it if it hadn't been clear of how much we appreciate what Dak Prescott has meant to this team in a positive way. but believe it or not in my life I've had a lot of things I wanted that I couldn't get because I couldn't afford it now have I learned to live with that in 80 something years you bet I have and life does go on but they're going to pay DAC so it just I don't think it's a disaster but I think it's limiting we have data to prove it's limiting and so you just have to like I said before

when I put up the 16 highest paid quarterbacks, there's only three of these deals I don't want any part of. Tua would scare me to death. Deshawn Watson, I don't want any part of Deshawn Watson for a lot of reasons. And Daniel Jones is a bad contract. So now all of these in a year will seem smaller because the cap went up like $14 million per team. The TV revenue is exploding. The gambling revenue is exploding.

So most of these I can stomach. Even Dax, I can stomach, you just have to really draft well the next two years. Dallas has to accumulate picks in moving players or trades, whoever that is. You can't trade CD-LAM. Forget about it. Micah, you could consider, but they shouldn't. But if you can accumulate picks and hit on a lot of them, that's the way to kind of get your way around overpaying for a quarterback. That's what really hurt New England.
