Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is, getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is, getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down, I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city,
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.
Listen to Rebel Spirit season two on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, it's Edwin Castro, also known as Castro 1021.

And we've got a new show called The 1021 Podcast.
I'm taking you behind the scenes on how I became one of Twitch's most popular streamers.
We also love sports.
And with the World Cup right around the corner, we'll be breaking down the biggest storylines ahead of the big.
tournament here in the USA.

This season on Dear Chelsea, with me, Chelsea Handler, we have some fantastic guests like
Amelia Clark.
When like young people come up to me and they want to be an actor or whatever.
My first thing is always, can you think of anything else that you can do?
Rather be disappointed in.
Do that.
David O'Yello.
I love this podcast, whether it's therapy or relationships or religion or sex or addiction or you just go straight for the guts.

Oh, it is a Monday.
Lots and lots to discuss Thanksgiving, of course, is Thursday.
So a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday week for us, one hour from now where Colin was right, where Colin was wrong.
On Monday, it was a weird, weird weekend college and pro football.
Big time college football teams went on the road and all melted.
In the NFL yesterday, underdogs, some did great, some were overwhelmed.
J. Mack, what we watched last night was an all-time performance by one of the nicer guys in the league.
All he ever wanted to be was a New York giant
and they let him go to a rival.
It was, that was an all-time performance.
Didn't we say this summer that he could have the same impact
that McCaffrey had on the Niners?
And he's doing the same thing with the Eagles.
Sequin Barclay, unbelievable.
So, yeah.
I mean, last year, remember, the Eagles melted down, right?
And it's pretty much the same team.
They made some upgrades in the secondary.
They got a nice cornerback from Toledo.
But they brought in one great player.
And Seekwan Barclay from the New York Giant,
to the rival Eagles has got a Babe Ruth red socks to the Yankees field to it.
I mean, that's what it felt like last night.
Are the Giants going to be cursed for 100 years?
The last 10 they have been.
Sequin now is averaging more yards of carry as he went for 255 last night.
Then the Giants are yards per pass.
He's going to break the all-time potential record for a running back in one season.
Scrimmage yards, rushing record, put on a clinic last night.
Remember, it was about a year ago.
We were lamenting that.
running backs just weren't getting paid and didn't have an impact.
Well, the truth is, they're not usually as valuable as quarterbacks or left tackles or pass rushers
or these days due to rule changes.
They're not as valuable as a Jamar Chase or a Justin Jefferson.
But there are exceptions.
Christian McCaffrey, the previous two years, and Saquan Barkley with the Philadelphia Eagles.
And by the way, not all front offices are equal.
You know that and I know that.
But some are playing chess, the Eagles, and some are playing Candy Crush, the Giants.
We knew Sequin would be better because the Giants had a bad O-Line, and Seacuan was great.
And they have a bad quarterback, and Seacuan was great.
And the Eagles are above average at both.
In fact, I'd argue their O-Lines the second best in the sport to the Lions.
We also knew that the Lions, or excuse me, the Giants didn't have any star receivers during
bait, Sequan's run.
So, therefore, opposing
safeties can cheat get in the box.
So the Giants had a bad quarterback,
a bad O-line, no star receivers.
You could cheat.
When Seqon was with the Giants,
you could cheat, and you still
struggle to stop him.
Now you go to a team with two great receivers,
an excellent quarterback, the second best
O-line in football, and yeah, it feels
like, I mean, you're watching, it looks like he's faster.
He's more elusive.
So, I mean, we all knew it was going to
work. I mean, that thing last, that was one of the four or five best running back performances
I've seen in my entire life from a guy that just was classy. His teammates loved him. The fans loved
him. All he ever wanted to be was a New York giant. And remember the quote this offseason
from Joe Shane, the New York Giants GM. Remember that quote? He said, we're not paying Daniel Jones
$40 million to hand off to a $12 million running back. Well, why not? I mean, Philadelphia's
Paying Jalen Hertz $51 million to hand off to him.
Seems like it's working.
You can't have an expensive running back and expensive quarterback.
You can't if they're Jalen Hertz and Saquan Barclay.
I mean, if I was Cincinnati, I'd pay for Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, and T. Higgins.
Why not?
They pay Cooper Cup and Matt Stafford, and they're going to pay Pook in a couple years.
Why can't you do that?
It's an offensive league.
So Joe, Shane, is...
Daniel Jones has gone.
It's time for Joe Shane.
Hit the road.
I mean, this is Babe Ruth stuff.
And we all knew it was going to work.
What I watched last night is we now have four teams that can hoist a Super Bowl
trophy.
We knew Kansas City and Buffalo felt like it.
We knew Detroit dominating people felt like it.
Just throw in Philadelphia.
Just throw in Philadelphia.
Because that was an all-timer last night.
And couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
It could not happen to a nicer guy.
All he ever wanted to be was a giant.
All he ever wanted to do was where the New York Giants blew.
Fans loved him, teammates loved him.
We all got it.
Like memo to general managers.
If you have a player with a bad O-line and a bad quarterback who is flourishing, he could be a wide receiver, he could be a tied end, he could be a running back.
You don't give him to the rival team with arguably a great quarterback in the second best O line and star receivers.
if you couldn't see this thing coming from a mile away,
you should not be the general manager of the New York football giants.
I mean, honestly, it is just insane.
Can you imagine the Chargers getting Mahomes in Kansas City saying,
you know, we know he's good, but we can't pay Chris Jones
and Travis Kelsey and Mahomes.
We'll call him that's different.
Colin, that is totally different.
That's a quarterback.
You just watch the Niners the last two years.
you watch their offense gets transformed by Christian McCaffrey.
I mean, you just watched San Francisco with a star running back transform their offense.
It was just, it was on TV.
I swear, the Niner games were on television, and the Giants couldn't figure it out.
All right, let's talk Chicago Bears.
Bears are a fascinating four-win team.
I can't take my eyes off to Chicago Bears.
So in a weird way, losing an overtime to Minnesota yesterday was the best,
result possible.
And let me explain.
First of all, there's no doubt.
Caleb Williams is a star.
On platform, moving, left, right, playmaker.
Huge throws into, I mean, there were literally non-existent windows.
That throw in overtime, or that throw to get him to overtime in the field goal is one of the best
throws of the year.
He looks like a number one pick.
Power arm, moves well, super accurate.
I mean, I don't care if it's cold.
I don't care if it's Brian Flores, the defensive coordinator.
here's the good news.
Caleb Williams can play.
They got it the OC out.
They still can't win close games because that's the second issue
and why it was the best result possible.
Caleb's legit.
You know, as Jaden Daniels kind of comes down, he's banged up, people have caught on,
Caleb just gets better and better once they got a new play caller.
That's the first thing.
Don't have to worry about that.
Get the right coach, you're fine.
Every bit of that.
Greg Cosell said last week,
This kid's an all-time talent.
The second thing is, once again, if you're going to lose and you're the Bears,
you don't want to lose because Caleb plays poorly.
You'll want to lose because Matt Eberf loses now 5 and 18 in one-score games.
They can't win close games.
They can't win close games.
They can't win enough.
Yesterday is a prime example.
A botched punt return.
A blocked field goal.
This was there for the taking.
Sam Darnold got hurt.
They trailed in the fourth.
Caleb comes flying back in.
And then they go to overtime and, you know, what happened?
Despite having all the dudes.
They got dudes.
Chicago's got dudes.
Monta's sweat.
Jalen Johnson, great players.
Keenan Allen was amazing yesterday.
Caleb Williams, DJ Moore.
They got dudes.
And they got a dude at quarterback and at wide receiver and the defensive line and a top five cornerback.
That's not the issue.
The issue is they can't win on the road.
They can't win close games.
Everything's got to go perfect.
That's not the NFL.
Yesterday, the Lions didn't play well.
They won.
Kansas City didn't play particularly.
they won. Buffalo
against Miami didn't play well and won.
You can't just win when you play
perfect, flawless football.
You got to be able to win when
everything isn't right.
That's what Philadelphia, Kansas City,
Buffalo, that's what those teams do.
And so
I think it's a prime example. You can
look up and go,
every week
with the Bears,
circus special teams
yesterday. Caleb's good. He's not good enough to overcome
80 yards and penalties and botched punt returns. Both of those,
by the way, both the special team snafus resulted in Minnesota Vikings touchdowns.
And then you get to overtime against Iber Fluse and the great defense. And Sam
Donald comes in off injury, goes six for six, drives him down, big throws,
walk off field goal. So, you know, my take on this is that's the way to lose.
Caleb assures everybody in the building, dude can play. And Iber Fluse, once again,
And it's a circus.
And we said this coming into the season.
I picked the Bears to win seven games.
I'm not sure if they're going to get there now and finish fourth place.
But you would feel, I said, you'll feel better about the team.
With Justin Fields, nice kid, you really never felt like he was the future at quarterback.
I know today you got the quarterback.
You got dudes.
You just don't have the right coach, the right staff.
It's a circus every week.
Here's Caleb after.
I think we got better on offense.
We've gotten better over these past couple games.
I think today was a testament to that, being decisive receivers and everybody,
and things like that.
It's tough.
Now remember, they wanted this coaching staff considered benching Caleb Williams.
You watched them the last two weeks.
The last two weeks, he's completing over 70% of his throws,
seven and a half yards in attempt, 340 yards a game, 100-passer rating.
Again, Brian Flores is considered an elite defense.
coordinator who I think deserves another head coaching job.
So they were going to bench him.
This staff, you know, it was one of those.
Raise your hands if you think we should bench him.
Here's the other good news is that if you look at the schedule, it's brutal.
At Detroit, at San Francisco, at Minnesota, three straight roadies.
Detroit again.
Seattle's playing well.
I can't figure Seattle out, but they're playing well at Green Bay.
So you're going to get another top five or six draft pick.
So there's not all bad news.
You got your star.
You got dudes in the locker room.
The schedule's tough, therefore you're going to get a great draft pick again.
You got Roma Dungay.
You got Caleb Williams last year.
You got a corner I love.
You got Montess Sweat.
You got multiple receivers I like.
I still think the offensive line is better than this coaching staff can build and, you know, get right.
But, I mean, if you're going to lose, that's how you should lose, because you're going to get a new coach.
I got nothing against the guy.
I got a new hairstyle this year.
He hipped it up.
I really have nothing against him.
But it's just a circus every week.
And you can't ask rookie quarterbacks, even talented ones, you know, to hold the tent up every week.
As the guy getting shot out of the cannon rips a hole of the tent every week, right?
J. Mack, say this for the Bears.
Very few four-win teams in this league are must-see TV.
I can't take my eyes off of them.
Let's settle down.
It was a nice comeback there.
It was certainly in the fourth quarter.
What, down 11 with two minutes left?
How about Bo Nix?
You'd love to pivot to Bo Nix.
10 minutes into the show, and it's first Bo Nick's reference.
Every hour you're going to be pumping this guy up.
It's pretty good.
Yeah, great win over Gardner Minshu slash Desmond Ritter.
Well done.
And they got the cover for us, right?
Denver delivered.
Yeah, well, I didn't have a great weekend.
Yeah, whatever.
That's the way life goes.
Matt Hasselbeck, Colin Wright, Colin Wrong.
Top of the next hour.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern 9 a.m.
Pacific on Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the I-Hard Radio app.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it.
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers
was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing,
a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,

Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam, it's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast, Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows.
Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the line,
lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball.
After you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game.
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This week on Crimless, we're joined by our first ever guest.
Sorry, our first ever human guest.
I don't think I could be in the same room with Shamrock the pair.
I'd be too nervous.
That's right.
The very funny, Will Farrell joins Rory Scovel and me, Josh Dean, for an episode dedicated to the many crimes committed by people also named Will Farrell.
They called to his fellow officer for the next.
Nippers!
What are the nippers?
Very good question.
No, I was thinking, would that be a good name for like a salad dressing?
Simple assault? And it's a play on word, salt?
Maybe not.
I say we invest and we see.
There's only one way to know.
This did not amuse the cops.
By the way, normally the cops are amused, but this did not abuse the cops.
Will even comes clean about some of his own crimes.
I didn't get caught. You know why?
if you don't want to be suspected of anything, you whistle as you walk.
Listen to crime lists on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
What would you eat if you had to start over?
Real simple, poor man's, poor woman's food.
Black beans, chicken, rice, plantains.
That's all.
That's poor people's food, man.
But being Nigerian, that's, come on, a go-to.
On the podcast eating while broke, I sit down with celebrities, entrepreneurs, and creators,
as they revisit the meals they once relied on
and the moments that shaped their journey.
Named Best Food Podcasts at the 2006 IHeart Podcast Awards.
This show is all about real conversations on money, growth,
and what it really takes to make it.
It was times where me and Lex were, like, definitely get into it
because we're not making any money.
Like, I need to start making money.
Like, why are we doing this?
But I don't know.
I think we just always knew that we had something really good.
And eventually people were going to catch on.
And so we just,
bugged it out.
The full season is available to binge.
Right now, listen to Eating Wall Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the
IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Niners got rolled 38, 10.
Green Bay didn't even play necessarily that well.
Drop the big touchdown down, Christian Watson again.
I didn't think, I think, you know, it feels like Green Bay's young.
They're not quite Philly, Detroit, Buffalo, Kansas City.
They're young.
They're talented.
but the story in this game wasn't about Green Bay.
We know the NFC North is good.
We know Minnesota, Detroit, and Green Bay are good.
It's about rebuilding for the Niners.
And rebuilding in the NFL, when everybody in the building knows, like the Raiders,
hey, we got to get a quarterback.
It's much easier, I think, than being San Francisco sometimes.
Because San Francisco is a mile from Detroit, Philly, Kansas City, Baltimore, and Buffalo.
But I don't think they think that.
And so there's disagreement in the building.
Now, I'm not saying the Niners are the Raiders.
I'd rather be the Niners than the Raiders.
But everybody in the building with the Raiders knows, we've got to get a quarterback.
All of our energy to get a quarterback.
I mean, you start looking at San Francisco.
Obviously, Trent Williams, 38, expensive, maybe the last year or two.
Everybody knows that.
But what do you do with Christian McCaffrey?
Or Debo, or Greenlaw, or Kittle, or a lot of these players.
What do you do with Brock Purdy?
You're going to pay him the bag?
Why would you pay him early?
Now he's got a second injury.
This one's mysterious.
And again, I'm not saying San Francisco,
listen, it's a Super Bowl hangover, right?
We just didn't know it was going to be this kind of hangover.
But they got a lot of questions in this building.
Now, the head coach is very good.
The GM's above average.
The division is there for the taking, and the ownership is stable.
But there's a lot of hard questions to ask with San Francisco.
I'm sorry, but Brock Purdy's a smaller athlete.
And this is now the second injury.
Nobody knows what it is.
The defensive line, Bose is great when he's healthy.
The tight end situation, Kittles great.
When he's available.
Brandon Ayuk's contract probably now feels like a mistake.
So I think there's a lot of stuff about San Francisco that you're asking yourself,
is everybody on the same page?
The team feels old.
They feel tired.
They feel beat up.
And by the way, I understand long play.
Rons. Kansas City, long playoff run Super Bowl.
Kansas City, long playoff run Super Bowl.
So at the beginning of this season, the Chiefs look a little fatigue and tired and
unfocused.
I get that.
It's like baseball teams.
When you have a pitching staff that goes late into the World Series, they come back
the following spring and arms are still tender, players are unfocused.
I get it.
And maybe if these two Super Bowl trips had garnered a tournament.
trophy, it would feel different.
But to me, it's like you didn't get a trophy.
I know you led. I know you could or shoulda
woulda. You didn't.
And I think there's big questions inside
the 49ers. Obviously, Trent
Williams is getting up there.
We all know that. But there's a lot
of other, I'm looking right now.
They're 5 and 7 in their last 12 games.
That's what San Francisco is.
In the lesser conference, they're 5
and 7 counting the Super Bowl in their last 12 games.
I mean, you know, Nick Bosa's
excellent. He's 27. He's
nowhere but you know Fred Warner's 28 he's a linebacker I like him you don't need to
have great linebackers Baltimore moved off a great linebacker Debo Samuels 28
expensive he's dinged up a lot
Sharvarius Ward very good corner 28 there's a lot of those 27 28 29 30
players I'm nobody's talking here about Trent Williams 83 million 36 years old
we all get that.
But I think you've got to ask yourself questions.
Last 12 games, this team is 5 and 7.
They're not dominant at home.
They got beat at home by Arizona that got crushed yesterday by Seattle.
What are they?
And my take is a little old.
They've peaked.
And I'm not sure everybody in the building quite gets it.
Here's Kyle Shanahan after this drubbing.
I thought we got out of gaps a couple of a number of times.
I thought we had way too many missed tackles.
just then being able to control that clock in the first half was
one of the worst ones I've been a part of just for as far as a half
I thought we stepped it up there in the second half did better
especially in the run game
offense got an opportunity to get going they gave us an opportunity to get back in the
game and then to have those three turnovers
that all three led to touchdowns with 21 points
you top that with the penalties and stuff and that's how you get embarrassed like that
listen when Bosa doesn't play on the defensive line
it's not the same defense.
So you're running through coordinators.
It's a very Bosa, necessary defense, as much as I like, Fred Warner.
Sometimes everybody in the building knowing, listen, you make fun of the Raiders,
but the Raiders got good players.
Brock Bauer can't guard him.
Max Crosby, unblockable.
They've got all sorts of good players.
They just got to get a quarterback.
And who knows if they have the right coach?
And I would rather be the Niners than the Raiders.
Don't get me wrong.
But sometimes, you know, this happens a lot in sports.
The Warriors have gone through this, right?
Like, are we done?
I'm not sure if we're done.
Should we trade Andrew Wiggins?
I think we should keep him.
And all of a sudden, everybody in the building, the GM's like,
I don't want to make these decisions.
I'm out of here.
So it's, we know they're good, big brand, massive following good players.
But sometimes it's easier.
Sometimes.
Now, if it was a great quarterback class, it would be much easier for the New York Giants
or the Raiders and teams like that to rebuild.
It's not. So it's a tough year to be rebuilding.
But the Brock Purdy thing, the mysterious injury, shoulder injury.
All right, that's the second injury, and nobody quite knows what it is.
And I want to pay them, but I'm not paying them what you want me to pay them.
And a lot of gray here with the 49ers.
J-Mac with the news.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
A lot of negativity there.
Let's get positive.
The Detroit Lions, Colin, this team is a machine.
They just rolled to their 10th win of the year.
First time in franchise history.
They've had those kind of back-to-back double-digit win seasons.
Another fun fact, it was their sixth road win of the year to keep them undefeated away from Detroit.
Jared Goff talked about that road record.
We are road warriors.
We love it.
We come together on the road.
We are, you know, us against the world mentality.
And then like you said, it's fun when we can get our own fans here.
and the way they show out, it's really unbelievable.
They do a hell of a job.
Ask yourself this.
They're number one in the league and, you know,
wind, point differential.
Almost everything.
If they face the Chiefs in the Super Bowl,
you're good at the lines.
Wait.
What would the lines be if they met the Chiefs in the Super Bowl?
Because I think Detroit would be favored by a touchdown.
No way.
A touchdown?
Absolutely.
No way, Colin.
That's insane.
Come on.
A touchdown?
They are the most dominant NFL
team since the Ranny Moss Brady Patriots.
Regular season.
We've seen this from the Ravens last year.
What do odds makers judge the line on?
What you're doing now?
The Lions, probably minus two.
It would be similar to the Niners last year.
Oh, my Lord.
Two weeks rest for this team?
Two weeks to prepare for Andy Reid off a buy, you know, Andy Reid extra.
As his offense sits and watches the Lions have a nine play seven-minute drive.
So this defense for the Lions is pretty damn good.
in the second half of the last three games,
they've outscored their opponents 53 to 0.
The defense hasn't given up a point.
You know why?
Because they always lead by two touchdowns.
So you're forcing Anthony Richardson who...
He dropped back and passed way too much.
What are you going to do?
The thing about Detroit's defense,
we don't think their personnel is great.
They have a great safety.
They've got, you mean, they've got a linebacker, people like,
they've got a handful of guys.
But what happens is when you know what the other team is forced to do
by the late second quarter.
Like Anthony Richards.
It was only 14-6.
I thought they bailed a little early.
I did too.
They didn't have a first down in the entire third quarter.
Like, how do you not move the football at all at home against the Lions?
Bad read by me.
I was way off on this game.
Extremely disappointing.
So was every sharp in the country.
I'm done.
And just for the record, I'm doubling down.
I'm on the Lions.
It's awesome on Thanksgiving against the Bears.
Well, on a short week, take the team that has momentum, the better personnel.
Remember what happened to the Bears last time they lost a heart.
breaking game, the Hail Mary.
They wanted to do a massive tailspent.
I wanted this overtime game, that was a tough one.
Yeah, but it feels different.
There's a lot of optimism.
I came out of that game and I was like,
Keenan Allen looked great, Caleb looked great,
Jalen Johnson shut down Jefferson.
So you come back and force overtime,
you get the ball first and you lose?
Well, I mean, that's a, I mean.
It's called the magic of Sam Darnold.
Sammy D. Okay.
All right, let's get to the next story.
That's the Dallas Cowboys.
Listen, I had a good Sunday, but another bad read.
I was on Washington Commanders here.
and you could just tell, Colin, it was sloppy.
However, the final five minutes of this football game were extraordinary.
I mean, it was unbelievable.
38 points in the final five minutes.
You had the kickoff return by Turpin with that insane spin move.
You had this Terry McLaurin 86-yard touchdown.
I mean, I'm jumping out of my seat when I'm seeing this.
I'm like, no way.
No, oh, my.
It was.
And then, of course, the snap was botched and it was.
It was.
Look at this.
It was, I would say,
of all the games yesterday,
I'm not sure there's been a quarter,
like the fourth quarter of this game.
Maybe all season.
Dude, it was 13-9 with like eight minutes left in the game or something like that.
It was bizarre.
So, Colin, you like to talk about how, like,
we like to see around corners or try to do that.
Several weeks ago, we talked about this Cliff Kingsbury's second half swoon is an issue.
And I just watch this, watching an offense.
I'm like, what are they doing?
And then Echler goes down with a concussion.
That was a brutal hit.
How about this?
No way he's back.
So Cliff Kingsbury, you know, single guy in the summers,
installs all sorts of new fun offense.
And then, I mean, we saw this in Arizona.
And then it works.
And all of a sudden you get into November,
and now everybody's got six, seven, eight weeks of Cliff Kingsbury's new offense.
And so, and then now, if you notice yesterday, I think you did,
Dallas really figured it out.
They would flush him out of the pocket.
That's 100%
and then have a defender waiting for him.
They literally, so a lot of these tricks by Kingsbury
that he installed, got nothing but time in the summer.
He's out there installing stuff like offensive coaches do.
Sean Payton, Andy Reid, this is what they do.
This is why offensive coaches run the league,
and they catch people by surprise.
But when you have Mahomes or you have a Matt Stafford,
or if you have a veteran quarterback, there's layers,
that quarterback brings to the table.
I think it was a lot of smoke and mirrors and fun stuff,
and I think the league's caught up to Washington,
and now you're stuck with an average O-line,
one great receiver and a rookie quarterback.
Both running backs got hurt yesterday.
Robinson went down with the ankle.
He did come back, but he was not the same.
Only had like seven carries or something.
I just, I worry a little bit about Jaden
and not losing the rookie of the year award,
but losing confidence.
He was tucking it and running a lot yesterday.
By the way, he had less than 200 yards passing before that McLaurin
looking into the fourth, Ryan, didn't he have like 90 yards passing?
Like, he didn't move the ball at all.
I was, and it's not like Cooper Rush was doing much, although Cooper Rush apparently owns
Washington.
I guess he's four and one against him.
Well, he's, Cooper Rush is highly efficient.
And if there's not a great pass rush, he can complete, you know, he's going to, he's
going to go 22 of 29.
That's what he is.
Jerry Jones should shout out McCarthy for getting his guys to play up.
They had a bunch of dudes inactive yesterday.
I thought they were on a soft tank.
It felt like that, and McCarthy is not quitting.
And I got to say he's auditioning well for his next job.
Because the way Dallas has come out, they're not rolling over in the first half.
They're showing up.
That's right.
I mean, you see these other teams like...
I mean, New York Giants.
Oh, we'll talk about him next.
The New York Giants.
Let's get to the final story, Colin.
This team had quit written all over it.
Unbelievable stuff.
The Giants were down 30 to nothing.
They've now lost six straight games.
Oh, and 6 at home this season.
And their best player, Malik Neighbors, was really.
Really ticked off in the post game.
Take a listen.
First, second quarter, don't get the ball.
Start getting targets at the end.
Briggs.
Can't do that.
Start getting the ball when it's 30 to zero.
Two of them you do.
Obviously, it ain't the quarterback.
Same outcome when we had DJ at quarterback.
Take a look.
Take a look.
It ain't the quarterback.
Yeah, it's a man overboard.
He said I'm tired of losing.
Well, it's interesting because I think Davele's a good coach.
I do think he's intense and rubbed some people the wrong way,
but I think he's a good coach.
I think they have a coach I like, a left tackle I love, a star receiver,
and a very good defensive front.
There are elements there, but...
You say good coach, Colin.
Are we sure he's a good coach?
We know he's a good play caller and offensive mind.
That's fair.
Same with Sala.
I don't know the answer.
That's very fair.
They attempted five passes in the first half yesterday.
Five.
You have Tommy DeVito.
What would you attempt?
I mean, you got to do something.
You got to have him drop back.
You can't hand it off the Devon Singletarian.
I see.
First of all, I just...
Obviously, Daniel Jones curried some favor with these players.
They liked him.
They liked it.
I mean, Daniel Jones is a nice guy.
Smart guy.
And I also think, by the way, I saw a story Jordan Schultz had this.
They're like seven teams.
They're like, we'll take him.
He'll be the best backup or top two backup in the league.
He's probably going to start for the Niners this week if he goes to San Fran.
Because it sounds like Brock Purdy may be done for a while.
So I wouldn't be shocked if Daniel Jones is trying to get somebody to the playoffs.
He's an easy guy to root for.
I watched them in college.
I didn't understand.
I didn't think he was a first round quarterback, so I didn't get it.
That doesn't mean he can't be useful in this league.
Brian Dable was asked if he regretted benching Daniel Jones.
New York media circling like sharks.
No, we moved past that.
Clearly not your team has.
Well, they're down, 23-0 at half.
Here's the thing.
Daniel Jones had to be benched, or did he?
I mean, at some point, you can like the-
Financial.
Well, financial move.
They didn't want him to get hurt, so they benched him.
But going to Tommy DeVito, when you're paying Drew Locke like $5 million to back up, that's the head scratcher for a lot of Giants fans.
And they've got a point.
DeVito did absolutely nothing, even in garbage time.
Let me just quickly check the NFL draft order.
So currently, Jacksonville and the Giants and the Raiders are all two and nine.
Two of those three need quarterbacks.
So the race for Shadur Sanders is on.
The next tier is Patriots, Panthers, Titans, Jets, Browns.
Some of those guys need quarterbacks, too.
Wait, it's very, I'm going to throw this out.
Will Levis, I think, is good enough.
He's going to get another year.
I would agree.
Bryce Young has looked good enough.
He's getting another year.
If it was a strong quarterback class, I could see Tennessee and Carolina drafting one.
But the two teams, the only two teams we know that are going to draft a quarterback,
Raiders, New York, that's it.
Jacksonville's not.
It's not a good enough quarterback class.
I talked to a GM this Friday, and he's like, Mill Roe's going to be the third.
or second quarterback taken.
It's Cam Ward, who has a huge arm, active.
Shadour Sanders.
Everybody kind of likes him.
And then Mill Rolls, great family, great kid, power arm, athletic.
He's a better Anthony Richardson.
So we got two teams drafting a quarterback.
Somebody else is going to do it.
But I do think the fact that Bryce Young and Will Levis,
I thought Bryce Young, I don't know,
it kind of feels like he's found his footing.
Get him weapons, get him protection.
Get Levin's protection.
You got sacked seven times in the first half.
Let me throw this.
at you, and it's way down the road, but
2006, Arch Manning is draft eligible?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Arch Manning in 26, or Cam Ward or
Jalen Millrow in 25?
Got to watch more Archmanning.
I got to see more. Okay.
Jay Mack with the News.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurd-Lie News.
You know, it is, this weekend
was just, I literally,
if I would have bet every football,
every pro football game yesterday, I would have won one game,
Denver.
And I know, you know, I should say that too.
Philadelphia, like the Philadelphia, Eagles Over the Rams.
It's a wild weekend, and we're going to get more of it this weekend.
It's a lot of division, those division rivalry games, Washington, Dallas,
did anybody think it would look like that?
So it's going to be a wild Thanksgiving weekend.
One more herd?

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And, well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the IHeart radio app, Apple

Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our
podcast, point game is about defying
the odds. Like LeBron heading into the
playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to
ever play the game. His IQ is at a level
that we've never seen before. And he knows
without Luca and Austin
Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the
challenges of the playoffs. I think
Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court licking his fingers while he got the bar like,
after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This week on Crimless, we're joined by our first ever guest.
Sorry, our first ever human guest.
I don't think I could be in the same room with Shamrock the pair. I'd be too nervous.
That's right. The very funny, Will Farrell, joins Rory Scovel and me, Josh Dean,
for an episode dedicated to the many crimes committed by people.
people also named Will Farrell.
They called to his fellow officer for the nippers.
On the podcast eating while broke, I see.
I sit down with celebrities, entrepreneurs, and creators as they revisit the meals they once relied on

Named Best Food Podcasts at the 2006 IHeart Podcast Awards, this show is all about real conversations
on money, growth, and what it really takes to make it.
It was times where me and Lex were, like, definitely getting into it because we're not making
any money.
Like, I need to start making money.
Like, why are we doing this?
But I don't know.
I think we just always knew that we had something really good and eventually, you know.
people were going to catch on.
And so we just bugged it out.
The full season is available to binge.
Right now, listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the

Join us Thanksgiving Day on Fox as CD Lamb and the Cowboys take on rookie sensation
Malique neighbors and the Giants.
The action kicks off at 4 Easter on Pop.
That game looks so good three months ago.
So, Colin Wright, Colin Wrong, and Matt Hasselbeck in studio, top of next hour.
That'll be great.
Love having Urban Myers going to stop by the show today as well.
So, yeah, I'd said during the draft that I thought Bo Nix with an offensive coach and Sean Payton,
not just an offensive coach, but a great offensive coach,
had a chance to be great sooner than Jaden Daniels with a defensive coach,
or Caleb Williams with a defensive coach, and the kid has been.
in. And you take out Andy Reid, who's the best coach in the NFL?
Sean Payton's on a short list. And to go seven and five right now in a pretty secure
playoff spot with this roster silences any of the critics Sean Payton has.
I know everybody loves their athletes to be confident, and I'm okay with my coaches,
like Jim Harbaugh and Bill Belichick of being confident as well.
Like, I'm okay with it. Sean Payton can rub people the wrong way. Remember he talked about
Nathaniel Hackett plays getting in late.
He was right.
Even the Jets demoted Nathaniel Hackett.
And the media jumped all over Sean Payton.
He was right.
Matt Hackett couldn't get the plays in on time.
Matt Hackett couldn't win with his team.
Sean Payton got the best of Russell Wilson by the end of last year
and has now helped turn this football team.
And they got Cleveland coming up.
So it's not like they're slowing down.
And Bo Nix has gotten better every two to three weeks.
Arms better than we think.
Super athletic.
calm but confident
and I mean
Sean Payton we know it we know he's a great
play caller he's a great head coach
because with the same defensive players
as last year and their defense
last year was a bit of a liability especially
early they're outstanding
so I mean when I look at coaching
to me coaching
is a couple of things one of them is are you
squeezing every bit of toothpaste
out of the tube
are you getting the last brush
and PFF, and I thought it was ridiculous,
but they had this ranked as the 31st best roster.
And I said this was my favorite over-bet out of Vegas,
over-under-future bets.
I said, this is the best one of the board, five and a half.
They're not a 13-win team.
Nine?
I don't know.
I mean, the best cornerback in the league,
Sutton's excellent, left tackle, back's tight ends.
You know, I mean, Bo Nix had 61 college start,
so he's an older college player going into the NFL,
so he's not like a 21-year-old like Lamar was coming in.
I mean, he's been around,
but I think this is what coaching looks like.
And, you know, when you look at like,
it's like Texas Hold'em.
It's not just the cards.
You know, it's just not just the players.
Texas Hold'em is confidence, it's strategy,
it's knowing when to bluff,
and I still think Denver is,
in cap hell they are, and I still think the roster is thin, it is.
But with a great coach and a really good rookie quarterback, it's like boxing having a
great corner man, and I think that's what Bow Nix has.
In fact, Bo Nix in October, rookie quarterback, good offensive line, not great, one pick.
November, weather gets colder.
Bo Nix, one pick.
So watch what Jaden Daniels, you know, Jaden Daniels now.
one of the first signs a rookie quarterback is off are interceptions.
Caleb Williams doesn't throw a ton of picks.
Doesn't mean he's great, but the game's not too fast for him.
So Bo Nix is not throwing picks.
The game's not that fast for him.
I mean, I'm watching him yesterday.
I'm watching them the last three weeks.
I thought he outplayed my homes.
I'm like, this kid's good.
And here's the other thing.
Bo Nix, this is not dinkin'unk stuff.
He is aggressive.
On passes, 15 plus yards down the field against the Raiders,
he had a 129 passer rating.
In fact, his last five games, this is really something.
Bo Nicks throwing 10 plus yards down field has 127 passer rating.
716 yards, four touchdowns, no picks.
So all the numbers are telling you, the game's not too fast, he's not overwhelmed,
he's not throwing bad picks, he's throwing the ball down the field,
there is nothing here that doesn't look like a star franchise quarterback.
And this is probably the worst.
roster he'll ever have because they're in cap hell next year they still get dinged but this this roster
this is no coach in the league and i like bulls the left tackle i like courtland sunton patrick
sartan we all like but this is squeezing every last bit of toothpaste out of the tube and here's
sean peyton after you know a year ago we don't win that game and so you know it was
wasn't our best, but it was good enough.
And we're on to the next one.
So we'll have a lot to clean up.
But it was good to handle these guys for a second time.
And that's a good way to put it.
I didn't think Denver played great football.
Bownex was good, but it, you know, it's a division rivalry game.
That's what these things look like.
I mean, we watch the Browns and the Steelers on Thursday.
By the way, you know, college football, you can,
can expand this playoff all you want.
It always comes down to the biggest brands.
Here's the teams that are going to be left standing.
Ohio State, Texas, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oregon, maybe Penn State.
I'm not as high on them as other people, but they're clearly, you know, I watched them struggle
with USC, but they're obviously good.
So there was a moment this weekend.
So the Indiana Hoosiers were unbeaten, and I liked their offense.
I didn't think they beat Ohio State, but I thought it would be close.
Their offense couldn't do anything.
But they talked a big game.
and Kurt Signity is the coach, CIG, CIG, right?
And so Will Howard, hearing some of the stuff, he said,
at the end of the game and the blowout dominant win,
and Indiana just wasn't ready for the stage,
does a little bit of a, does a little bit of that little put out the cigarette thing,
and a lot of people were worked up.
I don't have any problem with it whatsoever.
These kids give their lives.
They're going to class.
They're doing practice.
They're getting death threats when they lose.
These kids, it's okay to have a three-second gesture.
take a deep breath.
And anybody in the media banging on kids, let me ask you,
didn't everybody in the media demand that pro players had the right to celebrate
for as long as they wanted after touchdowns?
Yeah.
So that two-second thing's going to work me up?
It's not.
It's sidelines.
It's a blowout.
I thought the game would be close, but I got to be honest with you.
I watched Ohio State, and my prediction before the season is Texas, Ohio State probably
playing the national championship.
Oregon would beat Ohio State the first time.
Ohio State would beat him the second time to get into the national championship.
I feel like that.
This is the first time all year.
I've looked at Ohio State, even though Indiana's not as good as we thought.
And I went, oh, that's big boy football.
They completely dominated Indiana.
Indiana couldn't do anything offensively.
And they got some guys that can run.
But that whole Will Howard thing on the internet, you know, I'm sitting there watching
NFL and I'm watching the reactions.
Give me a break.
Indiana's coach was cocky.
Indiana came in with attitude.
Indiana stepped into the big boy adult theater and just couldn't hang.
That's on you.
This coach has a high opinion of himself, led with his chin, led with his comments, and got whacked.
I got no problem with it whatsoever.
A one or two second reaction on the sideline.
Colin, what about Baker Mayfield?
Baker Mayfield had about 15 of those.
And Baker Mayfield was arguably going to be the number one pick, and I was like,
Baker, chill out.
that he's not grabbing himself
that Baker did in college
you're not doing that nonsense that's two seconds
he's pretty good quarterback I don't know if he's draftable
maybe he is but does that bother you
J-Mack are you are you at Witt's
end with that on you know me
when I'm when I'm playing tennis or soccer
or basketball I am celebrating I'm totally
with this you know come on you beat him
down what's the problem I found
I found Indiana's
not terribly likable
I think if you go to Columbus
If you go to Columbus and you've beaten a bunch of Panera breads and roast beef tech, maybe going a little humility.
You know who's not terribly likable?
The entire SEC right now?
I mean, they're not good, Colin?
Do you see what happened on the SEC Saturday?
Time out.
Everybody lost.
Are they not good, or is it hard to win on the road in the SEC?
It's hard to win in Norman.
It's hard to win.
You know what you see with college football, and you always see this.
These are 19, 20, 21-year-old kids.
College football programs, even good ones.
ones. Like, Ole Miss is a good football team. Alabama's a good football team. On the road,
they totally discombobulate. You get the same Kansas City Chiefs team, Homer away.
Buffalo, Homer away. Detroit Homer away. In college football, when in doubt, just take the home
team. I mean, it's like Ohio State against Penn State, you're like, Ohio State against Indiana
flexed for three and a half hours. So I do think home field is,
It feels like it's a touchdown.
I'm surprised at the excuse-making from you here.
All I know is I don't want to hear about any three-lossed SEC teams being in the discussion for the playoff.
I do not want to hear it.
Okay.
You think Alabama's worthy?
They just got destroyed.
They got their pants pulled down by Oklahoma.
I know.
Shoklahoma, which is terrible.
24-3.
I mean, did you see that game?
I watched every bit of it.
And I've been out here, Towning Millrow.
He was abysible in that.
He's so, such a roller coaster?
He's very mechanical.
Great parents, great kid.
big arm. He's a better Anthony Richardson. That's what I'm hearing from scouts. He's a better
Anthony Richardson. He better be. And it's a weak quarterback class, whereas Anthony came in on a
great quarterback class. So Millroll is going to get drafted higher than people think. If Millroll
was in last year's class, you know, maybe it's not the case. But I thought, yes, I thought this
weekend, something that was Will Levis and Bryce Young, I don't think those teams are drafting
quarterback. So it's basically a giant Raiders.
top of the draft. Everybody else has taken players.
Get him offensive line help. You're like, C.J. Stroud, by the way, he needs some offensive line help too.
Offensive lines around the league were bad yesterday.
Houston's really bad. It's hurting C.J. Stroud.
Colin Wright, Colin wrong. On a Monday second hour, it's the herd.
