We just got off an unbelievable college football Monday. And we've got all sorts of stuff percolating. So I went and looked, I got a text last night about an NFL coach will be fired Monday. I'm not going to get into who it is. It's a NFC coach. We'll be let go Monday. So I counted there's nine either current openings, Carolina Vegas Chargers, three. And six others that I project will be open.

We got a lot of interesting stuff going on over the next week and a half. Because you know when the regular season ends, you want to get rid of your coach and start quickly, right? Yeah. Wow. I didn't realize nine. Potentially. Two weeks are going to be crazy. You got your birthday, my birthday, NFL playoffs.

It's going to be a good month, Calhard. So I want to start with this. Of the 14 current playoff teams, 13 of 14, either have a star quarterback or an offensive head coach. And what does that tell you after what you watch Monday? There's five quarterbacks we know we're going to the draft. Caleb Williams, Drake, May, Jaden Daniels, Bo Nix, Michael Penix. Five, they're really, really good. And what it tells you is, all should be drafted.

All of them in the top 12. In the top 12. When I see people project Bo Nix second round, Michael Penix could drop. Really? The only position in football worth more than a point is quarterback. Lamar Jackson, the MVP, looks like, from D. data over the last several years, he's worth 11 points a game, one player. All these guys have to be drafted.

I looked this morning, 13 of 14 teams, only Tampa with a defensive coach and a middle of the pack quarterback, Baker, Mayfield. Only exception, and that's the weakest division by far. Somebody had to win it. So I looked at the draft this morning. I would take, don't know if Chicago will, it's a 50-50 proposition. They may not take him. I would take Caleb number one to the Bears. I would take either Michael Pennix or Daniels from LSU, Washington.

Patriots take a quarterback. Arizona shouldn't. They've got one. I love him. You know I love Kyler Murray. I would take Marvin Harrison. Giant should draft a quarterback. Chargers have one.

I would go get the tight end from Georgia. Titans, I draft a quarterback. Jets, I'd get a left tackle. Falcons, I'd draft the quarterback. Raiders, I'd draft a quarterback. Vikings. Kirk Cousins, a free agent coming off at Achilles surgery. I draft the quarterback.

all of those guys. Now, Bo Nicks, probably five of the five. I don't care. You know, Michael Pennix is interesting. I've heard this. Well, the injuries. What do I care? Life's full of risks.

Spoils to the victors. Aggressive people win in every sport. NBA, baseball, Dana White, UFC, media, aggressive wins. You don't draft because of a fear of the floor. You draft for ceiling. You draft for ceiling. Joe Burrow, multiple season-ending injuries. You think Cincinnati regrets drafting him?

You really do. Tua, college and pro, multiple injuries. You think Miami right now currently regrets drafting him? Lamar Jackson's going to win MVP, we suppose, should. Last two years, couldn't finish the season, injuries. You think Baltimore regrets drafting Lamar Jackson. You draft for Tua and Burrow and Lamar Jackson's ceiling. You don't draft or do any business out of fear of the floor.

That makes no sense. Sky's the limit. That's what you draft. Penix has injuries. I watched them at Washington the last two years. Never seen him hurt. So all this fear of Michael Penix, Lamar, Burrow, Tua, who can't. Guys get hurt like the stock market.

I have bad years in the stock market. I'm not getting out of it. Michael Pennix may get injured. Burrell has. Tuah has. You getting out of that business? So this idea, Joel Klatt talked about it yesterday with Michael Penix. If you don't think he's a top five, six player, you're not watching the Huskies this year.

Michael Pennix is an elite quarterback, elite quarterback. And he might fall, but I don't think he gets past 10. and Michael Pennix is a passer. And the difference is, is that he understands leverage. He's always putting the odds in these wide receivers favor. It's not a 50-50 ball. It's a 60-40 ball, at worst. It's a 70-30 ball.

It's a 90-10 ball. Why? Because he understands leverage. This guy is an elite player. I think he upgrades 13 NFL teams next week. So do I. Bonix, Caleb, Drake May, Jaden, Dan, Daniels, Michael Pennix.

All should go, top 12. You can't be concerned when you look at this league. It's getting more lobsided every year. I mean, let's be honest about it. If you have a defensive coach and your quarterback gets hurt, you're screwed anyway. You're not making the playoffs anyway. 13 of 14. Offensive coach, star quarterback.

You got to draft Pennix High. So another story, Adam Schefter, says Jim, Harbaugh likely would entertain NFL offers. We know that. Don Yee now, his new agent. Don Ye's an NFL guy. Of course, Harbaugh is going to consider the NFL. And, you know, coaching, head coaching in the NFL is very much a mirage.

You think you see water. You think you see a great opportunity. And it rarely exists. And I'll give you an example. There are nine potential openings. Again, Chargers, Raiders, Carolina, already fired their coach. Atlanta, New England, Washington, Saints, Bucks, Titans. There's a lot of rumors out there and a lot of discussion.

If the Saints don't win this weekend with the best quarterback arguably in the division, a loaded payroll, Dennis Al's in big trouble. He's won 35% of his games. Mike Vrable reportedly wants out. So when I say openings, it's not always the coach getting fired. It's sometimes the coach wants out. Belichick has told his staff he's unsure of his future. Ron Rivera, Arthur Smith, big trouble.

And I don't really know what's going on in Tampa, but you could see him moving on if an offensive coach was available. You could see it. So let's first start with this. What makes a great opening in the NFL? Number one, not close. Star quarterback. Big time quarterback.

Number two, in my opinion, a non-meddling owner. you don't want David Teper, Carolina. Some draft capital would be nice. Current talent. You don't have to do a total rebuild. I want some players. And your cap situation. So let's go back to the premise that an NFL job opening is a mirage.

You see water. None exist. Start going through these. Carolina owner roster, hard pass. New England, roster, quarterback, no thanks. New Orleans, horrible cap situation. Atlanta, Vegas, no quarterback. Tampa, Baker and Mike Evans have a short-term future.

To me, there's only two jobs that you look at and go, oh, that's interesting. Number one's the obvious one, the Chargers. Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, Rashon Slater, a left tackle, and an edge rusher named Bosa. The Spanos family, they've got some cap situations, a little bit ugly. They're going to move off Mac, Caliol Mac or Bosa, probably move off

Derwin James. Very fixable stuff. Have to get a center too. Linsley may not play again. And the Washington commanders. Most cap space, new owner. If Sam Hal has to be a one more year starter behind a Michael Pennix, I'm okay with that. Nice roster. Interesting weapons.

You look at nine potential openings, potential. Two to me, if I'm Jim Harbaugh, regardless what the NCAA does with their punishment for Connor Stallions, two, I would take a phone call. Two, that's it. Chargers, and by the way, they're the second richest franchise in their city, so you have to consider staying at Michigan. The Rams have more money than they know what to do with. and the second one is the commanders that don't have a great recent history but historically when they get the owner right Washington wins games so Jimmy Johnson talked about this

I would stay at Michigan unless it was the Chargers but Jimmy Johnson Hall of Fame coach sort of disagrees if I was hardball and say hey adios I'm going to pro football and with a great quarterback I think at one time college coaching, man, that was the

easiest thing going because you coached during the season, during the all season, you had family time, you could travel, you could do whatever, do a month or two of recruiting, no big deal. If you're at a great school, you're going to get great players. The atmosphere has changed. Now, I think the college

coaches are working as hard, if not harder than the pro coaches. So let me ask you, J-Mack, you saw most of those landmines at all those jobs. I think you'd have to strongly sit down with the Spanos family and discuss it. I would absolutely sit down with the Washington owners. But I can make an argument that Michigan, going forward, even with a couple of years of sanctions, is a better job than all of the NFL jobs, not named chargers.

That's a take. No, I would disagree. NFL will pay you more. You don't have to fly around the country and recruit kids. You don't have to continue to recruit due to the transfer portal. And I'm sure you saw this. After JJ McCarthy won that game, Jim Harbaugh said he's the greatest quarterback we've ever had at Michigan. He's hyping McCarthy, who's, by the way, going to the NFL along with like 15 other guys. I don't see that there's a case that staying in Michigan,

not rebuilding, but you pointed out that schedule next year, Colin, for Michigan? Oh, well, what about an NFL schedule with the Washington with a rookie quarterback, Cowboys twice, Eagles twice. Yeah, but it's your show. assuming they give him GM power or some say in the front office and shaping the roster. You'll get power.

You're not going to get GM power. Okay. Well, he also gets to maybe pick his quarterback if Washington's drafting second. Now, that you would get. I just, I think the Michigan job's really good. I think a top college job is really good. Yeah.

Oh, no doubt. No owner. You don't have to deal. All your players are not millionaires. You have control over all the personnel in college, all of it. So we mentioned Washington, you mentioned the Chargers. I think those are really good jobs, potentially. Is there another one that should a favored home team slip up in the first round of the playoffs?

Starts with, well, maybe I should just say rhymes with phallus. Let's say they slip up in the first round. Cowboys. Yeah. And the coach is to blame. Does Jerry make a move? This guy can't win in the postseason. I would argue.

I would argue it's a semi-dubious fit. Jim's going to want significant saying personnel. And Stephen Jones and Jerry are not giving that up. But what if Jerry says, man, I've been waiting 25 years? Jim Harbaugh's my guy. He could have said that two coaches ago. We know his habit. Chan Gaylee, Jason Garrett, Mike McCarthy, people that need him.

Jerry Jones' history is he hires people that need him. By the way, Parcells didn't. It didn't last long. Now, Jimmy, you can argue, did need him at the time, but didn't about five years later and left. Could Jerry have a come-to-Jesus moment and say, you know what? Maybe I don't need a guy who needs me.

I want a guy who's going to win. You would think that's how I would view it, but that's not how billionaires see the world. When we got billionaires throwing drinks on fans. So, I mean, to me, Washington Chargers, you have to take a phone call. But those are the only ones that compare to Michigan. What if they came in and slapped you on the wrist for two years?

Michigan's a big brand Jim can coach. Atlanta Falcons or Michigan Wolverines, I would take Michigan. They don't have a quarterback. That's fair. And remember, first round quarterbacks, first round, or a 50-50 proposition. But not with the quarterback whisperer Jim Harbaugh.

Come on, he made Colin Kaepernick a star. For the record, is this year nine at Michigan? No, I mean, seriously, his first seven years, where were his quarterbacks? At Michigan, home of Brady. They didn't find a quarterback until J.J. McCarthy, and it wasn't until like mid-season last year that we all went, oh, he's good. Yeah.

Right? Like we didn't know first, you know, at first we were like, ah, and I said the last year and a half, season and a half we've gone, J.J. McCarthy is really, really good. But even Harbaugh has struggled. He hit one home run in his college career before the NFL, Andrew Luck, and he deserves credit. But in the NFL, he couldn't quite get it right.

Kappernick, Alex Smith. He couldn't quite get it right. If he loves McCarthy so much, what about a package deal? in the NFL, a hardball in McCarthy to, I don't know, Atlanta or the New Orleans Saints. I don't know. I mean, anything's on the table with Jim Bonner, right? I'm not sold that J.J. McCarthy's an NFL guy. You might not be, but I know.

I have had now, there's a story this morning that Justin Fields Bears and the quarterback conundrum. I think it's really easy decision to move off him, but it's interesting. I've had two X NFL stars, and these guys are connected. Tell me Chicago is keeping Justin Fields. Now, nobody really knows, but players tend to be very, very connected,

and they're hearing things that Chicago's keeping him. I would not. So there's three things you have to acknowledge if you're not a fanboy. Any reasonable person in the NFL would have to acknowledge when looking at quarterbacks. Number one, the rules now help quarterbacks much more. Number two, there's a higher level of

offensive coaching, high school college and pro. Pro offensive coaching now is much better than it was 15 years ago. Number three, quarterbacks are getting more tutoring in high school and college. Special camp, seven on seven, they have to be better. So I judge quarterbacks,

differently in the last decade than I have in the previous 50, 60 years. I hold them to a higher standard. Thanksgiving of year two, I make a decision. I made my decision Thanksgiving year two, Daniel Jones. He's not the guy. I think I'm right. So if you'd never seen Justin Fields play, just take the emotion out of it, take the amazing YouTube highlights out of it.

If you'd never seen him play and you just looked at the numbers, it's awful. His passerating through 37 starts is an 82. 40 touchdown passes, 30 picks, 10 and 27 record. Now, people go, oh, he's got 14 rushing touchdowns. Okay, if you're going to count total touchdowns, then you have to count total turnovers. He's got more than one a game, 41 giveaways in 37 games. That's not the worst part.

He's missed 11 starts. That's horrible. You can't miss that many starts in the NFL. right? If you are Burrell Lamar Jackson, you got to be great. I'll let you miss three starts a year. You got to give me greatness when you're there. You can't be below average and miss 11 starts in three years.

That doesn't work. So here's an uncomfortable truth with Justin Fields. The only quarterback in the NFL, over the last three seasons that is in arguably a worse passer, Zach Wilson. That's it. I know you like the highlights. Misses games,

turnovers, doesn't win. Don't listen to these analytic nerds that say winning's not a quarterback stat. If you're great, Lamar Jackson is worth 11 points a game. I think that's kind of crucial. So bear fans and bear media, they're trying to see something that doesn't exist. There are no wins.

There's a lot of injuries. There's a lot of fumbles. Beating Atlanta, a dome team in snowy, windy weather last week is not something to crown yourself over. So to me, it's really easy. I get Caleb, who's a better product, project, prospect, excuse me, a more accurate passer, and I can restart the clock.

But I have had two different NFL former stars in this league, and there's a lot of momentum that Justin Fields is the guy. I'd move him to Atlanta, preferably, maybe Washington, for a second round pick. But there is, there are a lot of lights flashing that Chicago is. is going to listen to the, you know, you hear this all the time. Oh, the players. Players love interim coaches. They love them.

Substitute and teach. Players love interim coaches. Go look at the history of giving the interim coach the head coaching job. Go look at the history of that five years later. Not many still coaching that team. And players tend to love like great athletes, even if they don't help in winning. I mean, for years and years, everybody loved mellow. Everybody loved Mello.

It wasn't a winning player. Everybody loves Westbrook. Again, great athlete. Be very careful about, you know, players say this, fans say that, media says that. Just follow the data. There every Sunday. Does he not turn the ball over? Does he win games?

Does he put you in positions to win? What's his passer rating? First quarter, second quarter, third quarter, fourth quarter. What is he leading? What is he trailing? Does he win shootouts? If your defense gives up 26 points, Can he win shootouts?

You know, Tebow was winning for years, and I'm like, pump the brakes. Every quarterback can win when your defense is allowing 17 points a game. You've got to get a guy that can win shootouts. Low scoring. Games in which just manage the game, no turnovers, be there, suit up. Those happen. Eli Manning won a few of those. Manage the game today.

Show up. No turnover. Manage the game, two big throws. So I can't wait for it. Jay Mack and I have talked about this. Chicago's got a big meat. A big voice. Fields is a big talent.

I can't wait to watch it play out. But I think this quarterback class, I don't know, you watch, I watch, I got five guys, I think should go in the top 12. You can give me all those draft picks and all those players. I want a star quarterback. And I think Caleb Williams is a, that's what a star quarterback looks like. USC, not a great roster, led college football in offense the last two years. Without, outside of Jordan Addison, didn't have.

another high-end player. One in two years. Jordan Anderson, Vikings. That was it. J. Mack with the news. No, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. Let's start with the Ravens, the top seed in the AFC.

Lamar Jackson on his way to another MVP award. If you'll remember, Colin, in 2019, he was the MVP of the league. They had a buy, and they came out, and he had a play. clunker, total disaster, and John Harba has been here before he's looking to avoid another playoff loss. It's different than this season. It's a different team, different circumstances, different everything, you know, except for the record was about the same, you know, and the buy.

I think I, you know, I remember the experience and the choices we made, but the decisions we made, we made for certain reasons and we thought they were the right decisions. We have to play way better than that in this next game if we want to win, so, and we do want to win. But you've got to look at everything kind of in the, from the framework or through the lens of today. This team and the challenges that we're facing. And that's what we'll try to do. This is the craziest slate of games this weekend. I have decided to do a Blazing Five. Oh, wow. I know. You know what? I said, I'm not a quitter. I'm not. Next year, I'm not going to start until week two. That's not quitting. I think that's silly. I think I'll talk you out of it.

We got eight months left. But I am not. I can't just quit. I've had nine straight weeks of winning or 500. I can't quit. People out there win 30, 40, 50 bucks. You know, can I help people win? I think they win more than that. Do you know the average bet, sports bet in the country, is $4. I'm not lying.

I have $4. Well, I mean, most people out there aren't living your high life out there on the beach with a gun show. Martini's on Tuesday night. ask you a real question. Okay, and listen, we've talked about how superstar quarterbacks like Peyton Manning struggled in the playoffs at the beginning. But I looked at Lamar's playoff track record. It's not good. Now, the first one is a rookie. We'll write that off against the Chargers. Remember, he saw them week 17, and then again in the playoffs and they schemed him up and dominated him. Then there

was the playoff lost to Tennessee. He had 365 yards passing, 143 rushing, but three turnovers. Then the Ravens lost, which was, I'm sorry, the Ravens lost to Buffalo on the road. Do you remember this game? Yeah. Yeah, I was on the Ravens in this one. They're down 10-3. They're at the five-yard line. Lamar throws a 101-yard pick six. Backbreaking.

Can I ask something? He has essentially failed. Okay. And all their three playoff losses are on him. All right. He's young. Go ahead. Let's take out one player in the history of the league, Tom Brady.

Okay. You ever notice winning playoff games is hard? It's very hard. Peyton Manning's first 10 years. Aaron Roger. Go look at Aaron Rogers' Playoff record. Yeah, it's like 500, right?

I think it's below. One game under, something like that. Yeah, Peyton Manning. Take out Tom Brady. You know, it's like everybody in music. Take out Taylor Swift. Most people don't get rich in music. Look at the average salaries.

Okay. It's like acting. Take out Tom Hanks, Denzel. Take out the top 12 actors in Hollywood. They're all starving, waiting tables. If you take out Brady and Mahomes over the last 25 years, Big Ben struggles,

Peyton Manning struggles, Aaron Rogers struggles, Josh Allen, it's hard to win. So we're saying, you know, Lamar wins his division and stuff, but he's not great in the, you play the best coordinators, the best defense, the harshest weather, it's hard. I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Everybody loses playoff games, except Brady and Mahalms. Fine, fine, I'll throw you a curveball since I'm trying to get you to say something that you clearly don't want to say. Who has the most pressure on them in this postseason as a player in the NFL. In this postseason.

Yeah. This one coming up. Well, it's obviously got to be a quarterback. We'll start there. And who's facing the most pressure? Dak Prescott better when a game. I think that's more on McCarthy because Dak is solidified with his contract. All right.

Go ahead. Trevor Lawrence. No, stop it. It's Lamar Jackson. Okay, okay. So what? I'm not hammering him. Pressure is a privilege.

It is. He has pressure because he's brilliant and great and amazing talent. That's a privilege. You have pressure when you go on Broadway. You have pressure if you run this company. Pressure is a privilege. Pressure is sitting in this chair every day. Oh, yeah, big pressure.

I'm carrying this thing. So I did look at the defenses they'll face because the defenses have bottled him up. We're all very good. Here's the good news. There's no good defenses in the AFC except the Cleveland Browns. They're the only top 10 defense that's looking to make the postseason. To Jacks are there, but they're not good. Their defense is better at home in Cleveland and Road.

Correct. It's a much better defense. And it's like Joe Flack. and a bunch of backups. But the other top defense is the Jets. They're not making the playoffs. The best defense is Baltimore. Baltimore is number one. So Lamar faces him at practice. That's the best defense he'll face. So Baltimore has the best defense, the MVP of a good coach.

So you've already talked Lamar into losing playoff games. They're not. They're getting to the AFC championship, period. I would hope so. I don't know who beating them. Period. Period. Archive this. Stamp it. Lock it. Lock it up. They're getting to the AFC championship. At that point, what's the weather? What's your health? I don't know.

But they're, they got to buy. They got to win a game. They're there. I would agree. Next up, the Buffalo Bills. I think you have them in the Super Bowl or something like that. They had an offensive resurgence since firing their O.C. earlier this season.

Stefan Diggs, though, he's seen his production dip, generating fewer than 50 receiving yards in six of seven games. The bills, they want to change it. Medically, there's nothing big that's been, to my knowledge, ailing him, and the communication I'm getting from Nate, our trainer on that. And it's, you know, just Josh going through his reads and going through his progressions and making sure that, you know, we're making sure we're going through the progressions properly. And he's a big factor for us. You know, he brings so much energy and vibe to our team, to our offense.

Let's just start there. And then collectively to our team. So he's a valued member of our team in particular our offense. And we're going to need him down the stretcher. I don't have a problem with it for two reasons. One, part of the reason he's getting fewer yards is they've been. established a run game. I am all for that. I've seen Stefan Diggs be the guy. First nine games, warmer weather in Buffalo, star receivers, Tyreek Hill earlier in the season is better than later

in the season. That's the reality of, you know, perimeter players is unless you plan a dome or warm weather, Tyree kill early, Tyree kill now. He's got to go to Baltimore. He's got to go. It's the reality of it. Also, players get dinged up later. Also, they have an emerging run game. I don't worry about Stefan Diggs. He'll make his catches in the big spots. I love what Buffalo is doing. I thought they played like crap against New England, but a lot of it is, Belichick has given Josh

Allen some bad Sundays. He's given him a couple bad Sundays. Some he's not, but he's, you know, Belichick makes every quarterback struggle. Secondly, they had Miami on the horizon. That's their season. So Sean McDermott looks at New England's roster

and his team and his momentum and his quarterback, and I just think they were flat and that happens all the time in the league when a really good team struggles with a really average team that happens a lot in this league yeah um i don't know what to make of the bills they're favored in miami something smells fishy i look that's one of my blazing five picks you love that game i don't love it i don't love any games this week i like several games i like three games but i have it's called blazing five so i'm going to do five picks are they games that matter or are you talking Yeah, no, no, and I'm not joking when I say this.

The reason I wasn't going to bet because nobody's playing, and then I found five games where... The outcome matters. The outcome matters. There's five. Tell me your pick in the Falcons. Is it Falcon Saints? I think that's like a huge game.

Tell me your pick in that game. Not going to get into it. Final story, the Cardinals, they have a top five pick heading into the final week of the regular season. Look at Kyler Dance. Oh, geez. He is gifted. All excited about Kyler Murray.

That's your guy. I think he's so good. Remember, in the preseason, it was Kyler's done. They're moving on as they're tanking. I love watching him play. Kyler gets a couple wins, and Coward wants to keep him. And Jonathan Gannon says, there's no doubt, Kyler is their franchise quarterback.

Smart move, mistake. He is their franchise quarterback. There's not five guys on the planet that can throw it and move like him. He's the franchise. Is he small? So's Tua. Has he been dinged up? So is Jalen Hurts.

I can live with it. Give me special. I'm not afraid of the floor. Give me the ceiling. I don't care about the fly. I'm in the stock market. I've had terrible years and terrible stocks. That's not how I invest.

I invest on the ceiling, not the floor. So you say there's six, seven quarterbacks you wouldn't take a call on. He's someone you would, right? I mean, I don't think anybody's calling. Yeah, I would take a call, but you'd have to give me a haul. I'm not, I'm drafting Marvin Harrison with that pick. Okay. What if one of the analytics guys comes to Gannon and says,

hey, hey, I'm just going to plant this seat. If we can get Michael Pennix in here? No. With the fourth pick? No, no, no, no. I'm not. You don't even want to hear it. No.

Caleb Williams, I would take. Outside of that, no. And here's the other thing. Arizona and the Chargers are both in a great spot. Because they got great draft picks and quarterbacks. So they should both actually move down. Now, Chargers actually have a lot of pieces. They should move down.

But if somebody came to Arizona and says, you're not going to get Marvin Harrison. but we'll give you a two and two threes, and you can get a dunze from Washington. He's good. I would consider that. So Arizona, very rarely has this been the case? I've rarely said this. Arizona is in a great spot in this draft.

They can get the best college receiver in a decade or move down five spots. Get another great receiver and multiple picks. So I think what's helped us in our careers is we are outside the box thinkers, willing to go against the grain. And some good fortune, yeah, good agents. I'm just telling you at some point there will be a team that says, hey, we think we have our quarterback. He's not a top five guy. Maybe he's top 10, fringeish.

But we're going to move off him, and we're resetting that quarterback clock with a rookie. But guys, I can get, can't you get 80% of Kyler's production with a first round top 10 pick? There's zero guarantee. No? With Drake May or Pennets? I think Caleb Williams is guaranteed to be very successful. I think he's going to be. You're telling me, Jayon Daniels as a rookie.

He couldn't give you 80% of what Kyle. Jayden Daniels is not as talented as Kyler Murray. Nope. He's not. I can't wait for the team to do that. I think I have the guy and I... All you people out there selling the Kyler-Murie stock, I have been with him forever.

He plays too many video games. I don't know that. I don't give a rip. I don't need you to stare at the film all day. I don't need that. What about at all? What if he's not looking at any of the film? No, that's Johnny Mansell.

You can't succeed like Kyler without watching film. You don't have to be a film addict. Not everybody's Brady. You know, I've heard Josh Allen watch his film. He's not addicted to it like Brady. But he watches film, but he's not addicted to it. Some guys, you know, there's always the old saying, paralysis by analysis.

You don't want to study too much. Like, you don't want to, you want to be able to allow stuff to breathe. Maybe if you're a concert pianist, I'm wrong. But in a lot of jobs, Broadway, you probably have to, you can't memorize the lines enough. But I do think with most careers, it's prepare like hell. it rip. You have to let your kind of natural intuitive talent go. And if Kyler Murray studies 75% as much as average quarterback, 75, 80%, but a lot of it is off the cuff, intuitive movement,

I'm okay with that. Not everybody has to be Brady. Sure. Right? This is not Cirque de Soleil where you catch the people or order a street pizza. Like that's not, you throw an incomplete pass. Julia Roberts, it's... Got some other big name actors. Did you like it? I loved the first, like, 90% of it. I thought the ending was total garbage and I walked away like this is, I can't believe I wasted my time with this. Oh, no, come on. No, it was that bad.

I'm curious what people think, but you got- If you went to a great restaurant and it was amazing, but the dessert stinks, is that a good night out? No, no, that's a good night out, yeah. So why is a three-minute ending? Remember castaways with Tom Hanks? That was good. Love the movie, hated the ending.

What was wrong with the ending? You can't go from talking to a volleyball, and the next scene, you're a corporate meeting. You're talking, hi Stanley, a next segment he's clean-shaven and running a board meeting. You've got to fast forward in life. You can't just, I have no problem with castor. Now, usual suspects average movie great ending, but that doesn't work. It's a good, no, no, no.

You got your best endings in the history of movies. That's right, but the movie was good. No, I loved it. I could rewatch that. You put it on right here. That was the restaurant where the food was okay. Great souffle, you know, chocolate moves to end it, but doesn't make it a great meal. I don't know.

I like the usual suspects. The ending was phenomenal. Can you watch this movie tonight? What's it called? Leave the world behind. I'm going to a steak dinner with a buddy. Okay. All right.

Friday, it's a huge college hoops doubleheader on FS1 as fourth-ranked Yukon takes on Butler, followed by a Big Ten class between two of the country's best teams as number nine. Illinois battles top-ranked Purdue, all on FS1 and the Fox Sports app. So not to be a psychologist here, but I've always thought that if you live in the moment and you tell most people, you've got to be good at this. and you'll have a great life, that people will do it. If you tell people that struggle with weight, listen, you got to get thin or you're going to expire.

Most people will lose weight. You've got to stop smoking or you're going to expire. Most people can stop smoking. I've known people that have stopped everything, alcohol, smoking. When you give people sort of not necessarily an ultimatum, but here are the options. You're fired. It goes sideways. Or you just do this.

And that's one of the things about the Green Bay Packers that are amazing. They don't get free agents. They don't have an owner. They have to draft and develop well. And they do. Favre, into Rogers, into Jordan Love, because that's the only way Green Bay can win. They can't just spend big money.

And so what does Green Bay do? Well, Oklahoma City Thunder and the NBA are doing this. So they beat the Celtics last night. They're 23 and 9, five-game winning streak, best young roster in the league. Really a fun team to watch. really fun. I don't think they're going to win the championship this year, but Sam Presti,

he went and got KD, Westbrook, and Harden, right? He was patient with that group for a long, long time, then eventually had to move off him, and he's got the best young team, and like the Packers. You're not going to get free agents in O'KC, like the Utah Jazz, so you have to draft and develop well.

And SGA's averaging 31 a night, and Jalen Williams, Chet Honggren, Josh Giddy, Lou Dort. That's an all-time great name, isn't it? That'd be a quick signature. But that's how they have to win. And that's how they're winning.

Like the Packers, they're not going to get free agents. That's not what they're going to do. They're not going to spend the big boy money on that. And I think these big markets, New York, Philadelphia, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, there's an easy way out. Just go buy this guy, attract this guy, free aid, so they don't view themselves as having to draft and develop or they're all getting fired. although in those markets they usually do. But if you look at the last decade, Oklahoma cities won 53% of their games.

The Knicks have won 39%. That's embarrassing. How is that possible? New York's one of the mecas of basketball in America. Kobe loved playing in New York. Michael loved playing in New York. The players all love playing in New York. How are they winning?

39% of their games. Big, splashy, Amari Stodemey, Stefan Marbury. Green Bay, Oklahoma City. This is how they have to succeed. By the way, Spurs Dynasty, overwhelmingly draft and develop. Denver currently, overwhelmingly draft and develop. Golden State's dynasty, draft and develop. I don't want to hear about KD.

They won before him, during him, and after him. That's it. That doesn't mean Miami's been able to go out and get a shack or a LeBron, but it all starts with D-Wade, and they've always drafted. and developed at a very high level in Miami. So, and what's amazing about Oklahoma City, they have 37 total picks in the next seven years. Now, they're not going to keep all of those. They'll probably move a third of them to get a good player.

But it's, you know, it's funny about this. If you take out just one NBA player in the last 15 years, just one guy, LeBron James, take him out. This buying a championship and buying relevance, yeah, LeBron won in L.A. and two in Miami and in Cleveland. Take him out. The dynasties, like Boston right now, the core is Jalen and Tatum.

They're guys. And by the way, best team in the east. And Denver, draft and develop. Best team in the West. Does it mean you can't go get a Gordon Hayward? I love what the Celtics did this offseason. But their core, they're two best players, they're guys. And so I think, okay, see, I know a lot of people

always fear in the NBA. Small markets. Yes, you have to do it differently. but watch Oklahoma City play. It's an easy, easy team to root for. It's a lot of their dudes. And they are good. They're 23 and 9 and they've beaten some good teams over the course of a season.

You play the bottom of the conferences. You can win a lot of games. They've beaten some good teams, beat the Celtics. There you go. J-Mack, we got a lot of stuff. I looked at the NFL playoffs today. I have, of the first six, games, I have three road teams

winning. I think this year, take out Baltimore and San Francisco. Dude, those lines are all two and a half. These playoffs are going to be, they're going to be like the college football games. So there's basically two great teams and then a live middle class. I have
