It's a Friday. It's hour two. I'm making dinner reservations. I'm all fired up. Friday night's off. A little pasta tonight. Let's have some fun. Are you getting after it in a neighborhood I'm aware of or no?

Because I might be in that area tonight. No? I don't divulge my secrets. Okay. Last night you were out there. I was living it up. You know, L.A. loves a good block party on Halloween. Halloween's really fun out here in L.A.

You know what I was doing last night? Cigar? Nope, total clarity. No cocktails. I was celebrating the Jets in the streets. Let's go, Kara Wilson! In the streets. Yeah.

Hey, I was standing on business. Okay, I like these picks. I usually like my picks, but sometimes I really like. like my picks. It doesn't mean anything. But last couple of weeks, I think I've been better. We had the Jets last night on Draft King, so here

we go. That's a hot one. Let's blaze it up. It's Collins blazing five. Cowboys at Falcons. I like Dallas plus three. I think they're going to win straight out. Listen, it's a must win, and they've actually been a better road team

than a home team this year. The Falcons, six of their eight wins, have come by one possession. Their defense, six sacks. Dack Prescott's going to sit in the pocket with time to throw. The Falcons defense this year on third down, terrible. Quarterback hits, sacks terrible. A comfortable DAC, said this a couple weeks ago when Seattle beat him. A comfortable quarterback against Atlanta. I'm going to take the Cowboys here 28 to 27 in a fun game. Commanders and Giants. You know I love the number.

four. I'm going to take the commanders minus four. They outplayed the bears. It should never have been that close. They lead the NFL in points per drive. That's a key gambling stat. Their defense, I don't think they have great personnel, but Dan Quinn's got them playing like a top 10 unit. The Giants, a bad team are on short rest. They're 0 and 4 at home. Daniel Jones has not thrown a touchdown pass since his great left tackle was out for the season. Their defense now is on the field too much because the Giants' offense is so bad, so their defense is wearing down. This is a bad football team.

The commanders offensively since week two have been money. I think they win straight out 28 to 20. Lay the points. Broncos said Ravens. I generally do not like big favorites. I love Baltimore here, especially off a loss. They're in a bad mood, and the Ravens at home are money. Their five wins have come by an average of 9.6 points.

Lamar's six straight games of 100 plus passer rating. Derek Henry leads the NFL in rushing. I know what the Ravens are. And their weakness, the back end, I don't think the Broncos will exploit. Bow Nicks on the road as a rookie quarterback has a 68 passer rating and completing barely above 60%. They've got notable injuries to their right tackle. Their wins have come against the Jets and the Raiders.

and the Saints and the Panthers. I think this is a get-right game for the Ravens. They cover the spread. They win 33-23, and I don't think it will feel that close. Lions at Packers. I get Green Bay at home plus points. Jared Goffs banged up a little. I'm going to take the Packers here plus two and a half.

Matt LaFleur is a great coach, not a good one. They've won six of their last seven games. They're averaging over 28 points. You know what, Jordan Love or Malik Willis, the offense is moving, and they're a very aggressive Green Bay team. They're second in the NFL in big plays offensively. They lead the NFL in takeaways defensively. This is a very unique Green Bay team. They're well-coached, they're hyper-aggressive on both sides, and aggressive teams can beat the Lions who are banged up a little bit.

All 12 different players this week on the injury report. They don't have Javis and Williams over the top to burn Green Bay. secondary. I just think in a division rivalry game, Green Bay at home, better coach getting the points. Titans kind of got some rush yards on Detroit last week. Be careful. I'm going to take the Packers to win it. An upset kind of, but I don't really feel like it's an NFL upset when the Packers win at home with the better coach. 28, 27, take the points. Rams at Seahawks. I like the Rams. Great coach with extra rest. These Thursday games are in a advantage the following week.

They beat the Vikings on Thursday. Extra rest. The Rams are one of the better teams in the league when they're healthy. When Stafford and Puka and Cup and Kieran Williams play, they're seven and three. They're the second least penalized team in the league. The Rams are a really good team with a young defense, but because they started slowly, people bailed on them. Seattle's lost four out of their last five games.

They've got all sorts of injuries. Tyler Lockett, Noah Fent, D.K. Matcalfe, offensive lineman. Seattle in the last five games, they're one and four. They have a defensive coach. They can't get their offensive line or their running game right. This is a division rivalry game. I get a big edge at quarterback, a big edge at head coach. And right now, a big edge in health.

The Rams are finally the healthier team in the game. That hasn't happened all season. Rams win, lay the one point, 27 to 23 Los Angeles. J. Mack, you gave me a weird option. eye on that cowboy game. I know it's a little bit of a flyer. I can't give away everything, but we'll talk about it in the final hour, Falcons. Did you see the Puka Nakua thing yesterday?

I think he's going to play. He had limited practice. Well, if anybody's going to have inside info, it would be you. I like that. And also, hey, Lamar Jackson? Sick Wednesday and knee injury Thursday hasn't practiced this week? Remember when I said, who's the back up there? I don't even know.

Remember when Debo was in the hospital on Monday? And I said, young professional athletes with excellent medical care, get healthy very fast. Lamar practiced today. If you think the sniffles is going to keep Lamar Jackson out of a football game. I'm telling you right now, Michael Jordan had a flu game, and we know it was probably gray goose. I'm with you, okay? I like the raven. I like the raven.

He wasn't invented at that time. We got to make sure Lamar is starting before firing on the radio. He practiced today. He did. Okay. Clear. Got it. It'll be up to 10 in a minute. And I believe Puka will play. Let's bring in our buddy 14 seasons in the NFL. Chase Daniel on that show facility before us. A guy that was... You played for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. That's 7. That's it? Yeah, that's it. So it's interesting. I watched a moment the Jets game last night. So all these teams, you see, the Jets did it, the Ravens, did it, the Bills, did it? Kansas City did it. They bring in a good quarter, a good player. okay and I thought last night it wasn't just a play to devante adams i'm like i'm not sure they could

have done that a week ago yeah that so you tell me when you were there and you would bring in a very good player it's hard within three days of practice like i thought devonte and erin had a couple of big big and kind of one of those body language you look at him oh yeah i mean that's exactly that's exactly what happened like i don't care if you've played with devonte your entire career You are in a new system and a new offense and a new place and you go and I did see that. That was exactly right. It was like a little head nod. And then we were with James Jones on the facility this morning.

He was like it actually the play is called Gap. He just pointed to a scene. He's like, we did that in 2014 with Aaron Rogers when I was there. So it really hasn't changed a lot. I just wanted to see Devante go out there and be the Devante Adams that we all thought he was, but he hasn't been able to show it. Right. And I think with that, it also opened up for Garrett Wilson, who had two touchdowns.

That's right. And 91 yards receiving along with that. And it's just like that's what Jets fans hope this offense could be. I'm not convinced it can be that way. I think they have bigger issues. But it was good to see those two guys get on the same page. Yeah, they have some systemic coaching stuff and infrastructure stuff I don't trust. But the teams they need to beat to get to the wild card, the Miami's and the Jacksonville's and the Colts and the Texans,

they're all in front of them, and they play most of them at home, so they got a shot. Yep. Okay, so in your era, not to make you sound like Dan Fouts, but... Am I old? Am I that old, J-Mack? But in your era, you didn't have the personal coaching, the seven-on-seven camps, you played high school, college, and then you went. Yep. Okay.

And so I am much less willing to just say, let's give a guy three years. So I said this yesterday. If you dated a woman for six months, it got worse every month. It's not overreacting. It's, hey, it doesn't work. Yep. I'm watching Anthony Richardson. Okay, I like the O line.

I love the running back. I like the receivers. I love the coach. It's getting worse. Yeah. It doesn't feel like it's short-sighted to me. No, I think it's the right move. I think it's specifically the right move

because the Colts believe what you believe. I know people in that building, I talk to them quite a bit. It's a good roster. It's a, not great. It's a borderline great roster. They feel like they are a lot. closer than a lot of people outside of the building seem.

Yeah, I agree with that. And the reason is because, like with Anthony Richardson, the whole thing is you're not winning because of him. In fact, I would even go as far as saying, you're losing because of him. I agree. And so when you bring in Joe Flacco, and let's just focus on this game, right? The Colts Vikings game this week got so much more interesting because of the Texans lost to the Jets.

This is a massive game in the AFC South. It's there for the taking. And we broke it down on tablet earlier. It's like that Vikings defense was Brian Flores, right? What they do from a quarterback perspective is they put you in a really high stress environment. From all the double A gap mug, they're walked up, they're blitzing from the left, they're blitzing from the right, they're dropping out, they're dropped. They do a lot of stuff.

And so I don't know if Anthony Richardson could have handled that. And so not only is it for the future, but Joe Flacco, he hasn't seen, he's seen every single blitz you could possibly bring in the entire NFL. It's not going to surprise them. Now, are they going to win? I don't know. But if you're Adonai Mitchell, if you are Michael Pittman, Jr., if you're Josh Downs, if you're Jonathan Taylor, you are loving this move because Joe Flacco can throw the ball deep, and that's what they do well. I'm seeing the Shane Stuyck in offense throw the ball down the field. Okay, Anthony Richardson is not a good deep ball thrower, hence 44% completion rate. So if you're those receivers, you're looking forward to Joe Flacco playing. So you know, you know,

know you spent five seasons with Sean Payton in New Orleans. And I said, going into the season, I said, listen, Caleb's got a defensive coach, Jaden's got a defensive coach, Michael Pennix has a defensive coach. I said, don't be surprised if Bo Nix because of Peyton gets off to a good start. Now, Jaden has been remarkable. But you tell me, clearly Bo has gotten better every couple weeks. But you can see it. What is, what's the magic potion, the elixir that Sean provides? Well, you look at Jaden Daniels, right? You look at Cliff Kingsbury, what they're doing. They're running a college-style offense. Caleb Williams not been great. You would say they're running a pro-style offense. And then you go to Bo Nix. I've seen Sean Payton change the offense a little bit

to help Bo Nix with his progressions, with his growth. Give him a little college. Yeah, there's a little college. And I like that because I've seen some plays that is like almost like a delayed sprint out where Bo Nix is killing it on the run. I've never. seen that play in Sean Payton's office. I played with him five years. And usually it's a Sean Payton offensive old where you're just looking at it and saying, all right, just throw to this ball. And he's one of the great offensive minds of all time, in my opinion. But with Bo, he's running the football better. And he's getting more confidence. That's what I'm seeing with Bo as the season progresses, specifically when you play the Panthers, you're going to get

confidence, right? But he's doing such a good job in the pocket, subtle movements. I don't want to say he reminds me of Drew Breeze in the pocket because Drew Breeze, in my opinion, is one of the best of all time, maneuvering the pocket. He's able, though, Bo Nex is to slide left, to slide right. Those slight little movements, he's got a stronger arm than I think. He's more athletic than a lot of people think. He can move. And I think that's the sort of the secret sauce. His decision making, right, with Davis Webb as a quarterback coach. I was there in the off season. And I sat with them during training camp and stuff like that. And I got to see Davis Webb coach Bo Nix. It was, it was like, a mind of Sean Payton. So that's why he hired them. I think that's the secret sauce right there in that Bowenix conversation. But you were on it. And I think you're right. It's the movement to get out of certain situations where a lot of other quarterbacks would just throw it away. So something I look at, even in my blazing five picks, when you give Sean McVeigh or Andy Reid or Shanahan, like they play Thursday the following week, they get four extra days or they get a buy. there's no question in my life that offensive coaches the good ones

the little flue are off a buy you're just going to get new stuff here's what worries me about the bears they come off a buy against Washington first seven possessions six punts yeah not good they did nothing with the extra time what does that tell me about their prep what they're are they just limiting what they're giving Caleb yeah it's the play calling if i'm being completely honest with you the play calling for me And I gave it. And this is harsh. And you might not, it was an F minus last game.

It was an F minus. It was so bad because let's just take you through it. The first two games of Caleb Williams' career as a pro, you try to put him in a pro-style offense, under center play action. Sorry, that's not what Caleb Williams does. He is a creator. He is a movement guy in space.

So they even made mistake right out of the shoot. Right out of the shoot. Right out of the shoot. And it's Shane Waldron. And then you go to the next three games, really the next 14 quarters, two and a half games. He was excellent because they opened up the offense. they put them in shotgun.

They put them in RPO's run-pass option situations. They said, hey, you know what? Let's give them pure progression reads, which for viewers at home, it's, hey, start on the left. Is he open? Yes. If not, go to the next guy. Do that. It wasn't half-field reads.

And then you go on by and you're playing well. You beat the Panthers and the Jaguars. I get it. But you are the reason. Caleb Williams is the reason they're winning those games. And then you come against the Dan Quinn coach team, which their defense is great, right? And you play so poorly and you coach so poorly. poorly the first 50 minutes of that commander's game.

But then you turn it around the last 10 and you drive the football field or the drive the length of the football field twice. You score a lot of points, the last two drives, and you're going to win the game. And we're talking about, we're not talking about it, but we would be talking about the toast of the town, the Chicago Bears, if they're five and two, they beat Jaden Daniels, they beat Dan Quinn on the road, and then you give up a hell Mary. So yes, the play calling was awful. but I do think Caleb, the last 10 minutes of the game, which I want to see quarterbacks do, he carried them.

You know, this is the way sports fans are. They're great with emotion. They don't know what's contextualized stuff. So if you don't win, you're a bum. I think the best quarterback in the league that nobody gets yet is Justin Herbert. If you watch the Chargers last week, Mark Sanchez brought this on, there's nobody open. Like Will Disley, who was a college defensive end. I'm glad you brought it up.

I mean, there's nobody open. Now, Ladd McConkey is 20. Quitchy when he has the ball. Yes. But he's not a burner. He's not big. Slot guy. Like most slot guys, if you get him in space, he'll make guys miss.

He'll make linebackers look slow. But he's not wide open. That's not what he is. So I think Herbert's so gifted. But I think we all look and go, where are the Ws? How do you view him as somebody that was in this league for 14 years? I mean, I played with him. I was on the roster for two years.

The thing about Justin that a lot of people don't understand is because we don't cover him a lot, right? I personally love him as a player, not only on the field but off the field as well. He's one of the better leaders. He's one of the best teammates I've ever been around. Really? And quite honestly, he could care less about stats. In fact, him and Harbaugh mesh together perfectly

because he don't care. He wants to win football. You saw him last game, the 38-yard run down the right side of him, he lowered his shoulder. I'm like, just to get out of bounds. He does that way too much. I'm like, what are you doing, bro? Get out of bounds. But you saw him throw for 346 yards in a loss. And Will Disley is the leading

result. Unlike Will Disley. I do too. He's a husky. He was a defensive band in college. It's Will Disley. Like, why are we doing? Like, they took away Keenan Allen. They took away Mike Williams. Josh Palmer has not lived up his standards. This week, I will say they're Quentin Johnson's back. And so

is DJ. DJ Chark. Yeah. But it is, and I love Ladd McConkey coming out. Like that was, for me, as soon as he got drafted when I was on draft coverage said he's going to have 100 catches. He's on pace for 97. It's taken a little bit of time to grow into it. High volume guy. But Justin is doing things. And quite honestly, when you play that good of defense, I think they've allowed 10 total touchdowns this year. When you're playing that good on defense, you can afford to throw to Will Disley. Okay, finally, we said this yesterday.

We have a guy Greg CoSell that looks at film. Yeah. I've been doing it at 45 years. And I said, the chiefs are so unique. Their offense isn't very good. It's the, but it's great in high leverage situation, which is usually most, many offenses in this league are good, but in high leverage situations, they get tight. The chiefs are the only team in the league that I don't trust their offense unless it's fourth down against the great defense.

So you played under Andy Reid. Does he spend more time at practice on those? Yeah, I mean, look, everyone knows that Andy Reid is one of the most innovative play callers of all time. And he gets ideas from janitors, as he used to say. He gets ideas from backup quarterbacks.

YouTube. YouTube. Anywhere he can get it, he'll try it. And he loves player accountability. These players are coming to him with these plays. Third downs, two minute situations, fourth downs, when games on light, it helps that you have Patrick Mahomes. He's pretty good as well. But when you're moving the ball down the field

like that and you're still trying to find ways to win, like they don't have a run game. They're out there number one and number two receivers. I don't think DeAndre Hopkins trade moves the needle that much. He's not a separator. He's great in the slot versus zone. And I watched this literally before I came on, I watched the game against the Raiders and I'm sitting there thinking, like Raiders, why in the world would you play zone against this team?

Patrick Mahomes will eat you up. Play man to man. Get pressure on Patrick Malmonds. That's how you beat this team. But then you'll do that. And Adrian will have some crazy man beater that comes out of nowhere that he got from the janitor. So are you enjoying doing the facility? Are you enjoying it?

I love it. Yeah. You know what? When I told Acho that I was going to do the show, I said I have one thing that I want to do. And I want to actually break down film on a morning show. They don't do it a lot. But we actually get to break down film, Colin, on this. big board. And when we're always tossing to you and J. Mac over here, it's good to see you. We're

always talking in between, like when you come out here 50 minutes prior. So it's been fun, man. I'm glad we're doing it. Finally, Jared Goff. I said he's the least respected great quarterback in the league. And the problem being our first image of him, they ask him where the sun rises on hard knocks his rookie year. He didn't know. And the season was bad. And then McVeigh moves off and that's bad. And then they win with Stafford and that's bad. But in five to six years, you're going to going to look at the NFL record book, and he's going to be like seventh and eighth in like half the, half the league. And, I mean, to me, he is a, he's Kirk Cousins with a better arm.

He's Matt Ryan with a better arm. How do you view him? He's not very athletic, but you know what? He's never hurt. Yeah. He's, how he got ragdolled for three or four years. He's never hurt. Yeah.

Look, I like Jared golf a lot. I don't think we talk about him enough. I think he's the main reason why the Detroit Lions are one of the best teams, if not the best teams in the NFC. And I don't live giving stats a lot. But what he's doing right now, it's historic. The last five games, he is 83% completion percentage. Not a 156 rating. Okay.

If he keeps on track for the sixth game this week and averages 83 and one, it'll be the best stretch in the history of the game for completion percentage and pass rating. What he's doing is his. historic. Like we're not talking about it enough. It helps that you have Sonic and Knuckles, right? Jamir Gibbs and Dave Montgomery. It helps that you have a knee-biting head coach and Dan Campbell, right? All that stuff. But another man's trash is someone's treasure. And with Detroit, they got the treasure and Jared Gough. Yeah. And the other thing about it is a young, if you build a young culture, this is what I like about C.J. Stroud. C.J. Stroud appears to have no ego. Gough's got no ego.

None. Herbert's got no ego. For as big a star as Lamar is, I don't see the ego. Nope. I mean, that's one of the things. That's why I'm so tough during the quarterback drafting process. It's like you're usually going to a bad team and they're going to build the culture around you. Most of these great young quarterbacks, you get no nonsense. And I, that's, that's no nonsense guys. We like those. We like those guys. You can be nonsense at receiver and Mike Linebacker. You cannot at quarterback. There's no doubt about that. Thanks for coming on the show today. I don't know if you want to call it that, but they look like a different team last week against the Vikings. I saw some great numbers when they have Stafford, Kyron Williams, Puka, and Cooper Cup, all healthy. They're a juggernaut.

The only teams that beat them are Baltimore and Detroit in overtime. They're an elite team when they got their guys. But yesterday, Puka, something happened to the knee, and they say it's not serious, but he had to miss some of yesterday's practice. He will be very closely watched today to see if he's able to go. I like him this weekend. I did. Seattle is beat up offensively.

Lockett, Metcalf, Fant. One of their offensive linemen, they're beat up. I got some, I don't know. Maybe I'll save it for the final hour, but there's some good stuff here for the Rams. I'm with you, but without Puka, it's a different story. We saw Stafford without him. He's their number one guy now. It's not Cupp.

If you watch them, CUP is the off-speed pitch. Pooka is their number one target a lot. Yeah. It's a great matchup, very exciting game. Two smart coaches. I hope Pookas to go for fantasy purposes. Well, I know people care. Next story, you know, we got to talk about this guy every day, Colin, your favorite rookie quarterback, Bo Nix, Denver.

Sean Payton. Oh, my goodness. What a streak there on. Winners of five of the last six. Bo Nix was named NFL offensive rookie of the month. Wow. Put that on the fridge at home, baby. That is exciting. Sean Payton went out on a limb after moving off Russell Wilson to get Nix. The rookie quarterback talked about his relationship with Peyton. Every week, I give him the calls that I like, and, you know, he goes from there. He calls. calls it how he sees it with the thought, you know, in the back of his mind. He knows what I like. Always finding ways to get better, you know, working together as play caller. And, you know, I'm also, you know, a rookie. So there's a time to where, you know, I don't have much say. And there's not, you know, much I, you know, have to offer in that regard. But, you know, I can just go out there

and call whatever, or run whatever he calls and just try to make it work. Yep. I think it's a pretty special relationship, my man. Well, the staff knows you like Bo Nick. So we got a nice little graphic here about Knicks in October, how he fared among other rookie quarterbacks. I mean, if you want to guess, it's pretty damn good. First and completion percentage. Passing yards. TD interception ratio.

Second and passer rating. Sean Payton assured me when we spoke confidentially that this kid, before Thanksgiving, you'd start seeing the future. Yeah. I have it sourced. I'm not going to tell you who the source is, but SP are the initial. Yeah, I love when somebody does a victory lap, but like mile 23 of the marathon, which is what you're doing now. We'll see.

We'll see. Mile eight, maybe. Yeah. Back down to earth here. I think, listen, if you're Denver, you've been looking for that. You had to go by, you know, you fell in love with Tebow. You love Peyton, but he was older. This feels like Peyton Knicks together.

I mean, maybe each one individually, you know, but together it feels like the right fifth. There'll be an interesting offseason team because, you know, members, they had all that dead cap money with Russell Wilson. They still have some of it next year. They do have some of it next year, but they'll have an opportunity to go out and get some more help for Bo Nix. Maybe I don't think Cortland Sutton's a one. You know, he's good, but he's not a one. If not, he's the best two in the league.

It's like Michael Pittman. If he's not a one, he's a great two. Yeah, there's a decent crop of wide receivers in college football. I wonder if Denver targets one because the defense is in good shape. Offensive line could use some work as well. Yeah, I think they'll go get another corner, and I think they'll continue to shore up their line. That's my guess. Okay.

Bronco's arrow pointing up. Final story, Colin, earlier today, you loved that Garrett Wilson touchdown catch. Let's look at it again here on FS1. Roger's third and 19. Garrett go up and get it. With one hand, he taps the left and then gets the shin

down. That's just incredible footwork and balance. Jets interim head coach Jeff Obrecht said it's one of the best catches he's ever seen and compared it to another historic catch made by a New York giant. I was talking to the ref when they were reviewing it. I'm like, just for the sake of posterity, you have to say that's in, just so it goes down in history.

I mean, it would rival the O'Dell catch, you know. It was amazing. It was close enough to definitely to challenge. So it was, thankfully, they got it right. Yeah. No, I mean, I thought Aaron had a very good second half. I thought the Devante, a couple of big plays to Devonte. Now he's got four extra days of Prap before Arizona.

I'm not going to make a blazing five pick. a week before, but jets, if the jets are getting points at Arizona, they probably are. Well, let's see what happens with Arizona Bears first. That is a way under. Now, now, Packers, Lions on Fox is the best game. That is way under the radar good. I know you were clear-eyed last night. I was.

Were you watching how Wilson and Adams had their way with Stingley, who you like, and then last under the young kid, he had no chance against Adams. The Jets receiving Cornau. Yeah, it becomes interesting. How do you schematically handle these two? Because honestly, I think they've got two number one receivers. Wilson's a one. They are. They are both number one.

Adams is still a one. Yes, yes. Here's my question. Breece Hall's excellent. Why aren't they playing Allen more? That's a good question. I like him. He looked good early in the season.

He's not a breakaway speed guy. He's a great compliment back. They're not playing them a ton. They have no tight end production at all. Well, Conklin's okay, but it seems like they don't know what they want to be. Early in the season, we want to run the football. And now it's, well, we got Devante. We want to pass the ball.

I mean, they got the football to start the game, went three and out. Drop back pass, drop back, back, and a sack on third down. It's like, I don't know, man. I just don't think the Jets have an identity yet, but it seems like maybe they want to be a pass-happy team. Can that work with Rogers and that line? Well, all I know is in the second half. I thought they looked like a really good football team sparked by a great play. But I don't think they'll ever be a great football team.

I predicted eight wins, nine wins. That's exactly where they're going to end. end up. I really believe it. Well, Cardinals and Colts next. They don't have secondaries that scare you. Rogers should have a lot of success. They get Miami twice, the Jags, the Colts, the Seahawks, the Rams, they get a lot of teams at home. Miami secondary is awful. I mean, Marvin Harrison torched them. Uh, yeah. It's all in front of you. Just don't do this to me, all right? I'm not doing anything to you. You're getting me hyped. You're getting me excited. Sunday, we got a huge NFL doubleheader on Fox. First, Dak and the Cowboys take on the Falcons or other regional action. then it's America's Game of the Week as Jared Goff lead to the Lions against the Packers or Rand Seahawks. Check local listings for the games in your area Sunday on top. You know, it's funny.

You look at that early window a lot of times. I'll look at it and think, man, there's not a lot of good games. And then all of a sudden, about two and a half hours into the early window, you've got wild, wild finishes. I always feel like the NFL gives you like six to seven really good games a slate. And you only got like 13, 14 games a week. What is it? 14 games a weekend or 15 games. College football, you have 60 games and you may get four great ones.

I think Ohio State, Penn State. If that was in Columbus, I think Ohio State would roll. I think at Penn State, that's really interesting. I'll still take the Buckeyes to win it. But that is what I think the NFL gives you stars. It gives you urgency. And you just get great, great games. Jay Mack and I do this every week.

There will be an upset sometime this weekend. my guess is Raiders at the Bengals, those early windows, those were some of the upsets. I think the Raiders beating, I thought they played pretty well against the Kansas City Chiefs. I think the Raiders beating the Bengals feels like an upset to me. And would Giants over Washington be an upset, divisional matchup? Oh, God, yes. You think that's one of them? No, no, no.

I'm with you. I just think, you know, these divisional matchups, they can be tough. Now it's a short week for the Giants. I don't think they're. How about this? How about this? How about this? Shocker. Colts at the Vikings. That would be a shocker. But you have no idea what, I mean, first of all, Chase Daniels admitted it. The Colts personnel, I think, I think their roster is better than Houston's by an inch. Whoa, whoa. Healthy Houston? They're not healthy. They haven't been healthy for a month. So my take is it would not shock me if the Colts with Flacco surprised the Vikings.

Because what does Brian Flores Viking defensive coordinator do? He, he, he, he, he, confuses young quarterbacks. Flacco seen everything. So you're not going to confuse Joe Flacco. So I thought that, remember that was part of my handicap against Aaron Rogers in London. I was like, oh, Rogers has seen every defense. He's seen every blitz. Three interceptions, pick six.

Like, I don't want against Flores is tough man. He's on a heater this season. He's been incredible. So there's a couple of combustible stories happening right now in the NBA. Joel M. Bede is calling out Philadelphia fans. Here's another one. According to an insider, my five bulls, old NBA predictions. I said, I think Janice is out of Milwaukee after the season. A story today

by CBS Sports, Bill Ryder, is that teams are circling the bucks and they know that the bucks are listening, including the Miami Heat. And so, by the way, Pat Riley, GM of the Heat, big deal maker. They lost again last night, under 500 with Doc Rivers, Dame was one and 12. And I also think, listen, you won a title with Kareem, then you made a deal and got a ton of players and were relevant for a decade. You won a title with Janus. This roster is old. It's unathletic. It was old and unathletic two years ago.

You are not beating the Boston Celtics. You're not beating Indiana if you're old and unathletic. It's not happening. The East is young and getting better. So about the only other team that I worry about their health is Philadelphia, and they may just implode. And I think some fish are just too big for the pond. I thought Shaq was too big for Orlando. Karim was too big for Milwaukee.

I think Janice feels like now it's getting kind of petty. There's a little animosity. The Drew Holiday dame move felt a little desperate. I didn't love it. I think the roster in Milwaukee needs a massive influx of youth. Chris Middleton now constantly hurt. He had a nice career, but he's banged up. He can't defend the perimeter when he plays.

So they're just kind of waiting for him to get healthy. So this is an organization. They got the ring. And then they kind of fired Boudin-Holser very quickly, and they had these great expectations. But you know what? Windows closed very quickly. That's why the Warriors, when they went and got KD, I defended them, is that, you know what? When the getting's good, add to it.

Don't hold your breath and think it's going to last forever. The Seahawks did that, and it closed very quickly. The Chiefs are going out and they're making deals to get a D-Hop. They're making deals to get players. That's the way to do it. So I think you can't reverse this roster. There's no fountain of youth other than a trade. Call the Houston Rockets.

They've been losing for years. They've got an influx of young players. Some of the young players aren't getting on the floor enough. They want to play, but they're not in the rotation. So I think Houston is a team you look at. And by the way, it doesn't mean you're necessarily going to get bad. You've been knocked out of the first round in the east the last couple of years. You are bad.

OKC and Boston rebuilt did a total rebuild and were like viable. So I don't think a rebuild in Milwaukee necessarily means you're bad. I think you're going to get, you go back and look at the Kareem trade. Yonis is what, 29, 30 years old, you're going to get an absolute treasure trove of picks and players. And here's the thing in the NBA, Oklahoma City, prove this, is that when you get young, if you hit on the draft picks, because the NBA season is so long and you have the load management for a lot of these stars, really, really young teams that play hard and have good chemistry, you could end up, you look up and you got 3840 wins in a rebuild.

Oklahoma City, they hit on draft picks. They had one star in SGA. They had great chemistry, nice coaching, played hard every night. You look up and you're like, well, they have four or five seed. What's going on? The bottom of the east is awful. It's been awful forever. So, I mean, if you're not able to win first round playoff series now,

what are you giving up? I would make a move. And I think the sooner you can get new blood into the building, the better. You got a title. The dynasty ended very, very quickly. I thought it was going to be like, oh, four or five years. I mean, look at Denver. Denver's a great example with Yokic.

I thought that thing was going to be three titles in four years. Watch them right now. They're rolling the dice on Westbrook. So, when you get it, if you get a ring, be happy with it. always look to improve. Dynasties don't last long and teams get old, very fast in pro sports.

All right, we had Chase Daniel on earlier. The game of the weekend is the Detroit Lions, speaking of Milwaukee, the Detroit Lions at Green Bay. Very rarely in the NFL, do you get a really good coach, a really good quarterback at home, and they're an underdog.

It almost never happens. So that's why I like Green Bay this weekend. and it's a very rare spot where Matt LaFleur can say, we're the underdog. We've got no respect. You just don't get that in the NFL. Good home teams with star coaches and star quarterbacks are almost never dogs at home. How often is Buffalo, Baltimore, Kansas City, and underdog at home?

It never happens. So I really like Green Bay to play with their hair and fear this weekend. But I think the story that is interesting is Detroit. And I think Jared Goff is a fascinating story. I have made the argument that the best Super Bowl for ratings would be the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills. Two franchises, Buffalo especially. They've had great quarterbacks and great players,

and they just can't get over the hump. I think there's a sympathy for Buffalo, upstate New York. They've been well run for many years here in a row. They just want to hoist a trophy. They can't get past. It feels a little like Mickelson with Tiger in his prime. It's just, Mickelson was great, but there was Tiger. It's like the Utah Jazz with Jordan.

Utah was great. There was Jordan. I kind of feel like Buffalo was great, but there's Mahomes. So I think if Buffalo faced Detroit, they got a little Chicago Cubs field to him. And the Super Bowl is going to be big regardless. But golf is perfect for Detroit. Doubted, kick to the curb. We question if he has what it takes.

I mean, he is such a perfect fit for a franchise in his. city that gets eye-rolled, ignored, criticized. So, I mean, only Cleveland's gets more of that, but, you know, Cleveland's Cleveland. So I think Detroit, by the way, my wife's from there, there's a lot to offer. It's absolutely gorgeous, the art, the feud, the music. But Detroit's been kicked around for years, and Goff got kicked out of Los Angeles. So I think he's a perfect fit. And Chase Daniel earlier on why he's been the catalyst of this whole reboot in the

Motor City. I think he's the main reason why the Detroit Lions are one of the best teams, if not the best teams in the NFC. And I don't live giving stats a lot. But what he's doing right now, it's historic. The last five games, he is 83% completion percentage. Not a 156 rating. Okay. If he keeps on track for the sixth game this week and averages 83 and it'll be the best stretch in the history of the game for completion percentage and pass a rating. What he's doing is historic. Like, we're not talking about it enough. And it should be noted.

Yes, he's got some nice things. But James and Williams is deep threats. Not available this week. He's been hot and cold. Like everybody else in the NFL, they've had injuries. It's not perfect. They're also in the best division in football. So you can say, well, he has this.

He has this. The truth is, that division, head and shoulders above it. They have not had an easy early schedule. They got the Rams when the Rams were healthy. So it's a team, 33 and a half points a game. And if you look at their schedule, J-MAC, this is, what's interesting is there are a lot of Ws on this schedule. They have a real shot to be a number one seat.

So Green Bay needs to get them this weekend because then it's the Texans, the Jags, the Colts, the Bears. They've got, you know, my take is if San Francisco in Week 17 has a playoff spot, they may rest a Debo Samuel and a Christian McCaffrey for the playoffs. So if Green Bay does not get Detroit this weekend, they could go on a month roll in the mid-30s and scoring. There's a lot of teams out there that are a little wobbly right now after the Packers. So I had to look it up just because you mentioned it. Jordan Love is practicing for the second straight day.

That is good news about the groin injury. And some Packers fans are reminding me about what Jordan Love did. The last time he faced the Lions, which I believe was Thanksgiving, kind of sort of lit them up. I like your, you're on the Packers here, right? I think, how many times has Lamar, Mahomes, or Allen been a dog at home? Why are we not respecting the Packers? We got to respect LaFleur.

I'm starting, I'm ready to put him top four coaches in the league. This guy's really damn good. He is just. I mean, Malik Willis, a year ago, I didn't think he could play at all. No, nobody did. He's undefeated. And his numbers aren't that different. He just runs more than Jordan Love.
