All I'm saying is you walk into that house and those northern coaches start saying y'all a lot.

Because I've talked to them. You're going into, if you're a northern coach, enemy territory, and those southern families are like, who's this northern coach? Then you start saying, ma'am, y'all, little sales pitch. It's easy applause guy. He's in an arena talking to students. What's he supposed to talk about?

We are going to really establish a standard of education here. Change the culture. No, he's going to go in there and say things that a big group of people are all going to respond to, which is we're going to win a bunch of games, and then he's going to put a little extra draw when he says, Taggers. So years ago, Tigers. Go Tigers. Go Tigers. I love it.

I know it's funny. Also, he doesn't care about what, get your jokes off. He's got money up to his ears. He can't hear that. He doesn't care. But it is funny. Years ago, I've done probably 15 shows in my life on a college campus. So whenever I would do a Big Ten school, a lot of beer jokes, a lot of party jokes.

Yeah. That's what you joke about. When you go to West Point where I did a show, they're not allowed alcohol. You talk about values and morals. Very serious. I'm more serious, more adult because there's restrictions on that campus. or that military academy. So you just, you figure out very quickly the room and what joke works and what doesn't.

What's appropriate and what's not. Reading the room is very important, especially when you're the one with the microphone. I was at a charity event once where a comedian did not read the room. Oh, it's bad. I mean, you and I don't do awkward well, sweating. I'm not even, I'm in the back of the room and I'm sweating. Like, this is not going well. Yeah.

All right. all the odds provided by Fox Bet Sportsbook. Here we go our Blazing Five. Let's blaze it up. Fire it up. It's Collins. It's Blazing Five. Chargers and Bengals. I'm going to take the Chargers and the points.

I made a lot of money betting against the Chargers this year, but outside of Minnesota, the Chargers play more close games than any team in the NFL. And Justin Herbert this year, top five and virtually everything. Completions, first downs, passing touchdowns. The Bengals are a really good team. coming off their most dominating performance in 20 years over the Steelers. Regression to the mean, they'll pull back. By the way, the Bengals are 4-0 this year against the Steelers, the Jaguars, and the Lions.

They're three and four against everybody else. Burrell's been sacked 20 or 13 times over the last month, second most in the league, and the Chargers have a pass rush. I think it's a fun, entertaining game. Chargers take the points, win it outright, upset, 2726. That Jets. Favorite bet of the week. I love Philadelphia minus six and a half.

The best rushing team in the league, which is remarkable. It's all about Jalen Hertz. They don't have a single player with a hundred yard rushing game this year. And yet they lead the NFL in rushing. And they lead it in rushing yards. Touchdown, rushing differential. It's not even close. This is a Jalen Hurts story.

If you haven't faced him, he's a handful. They've outrushed their opponents by 130 yards per game over the last five games. Nobody in the NFL is even in the NFL. hundreds. And the Jets defense is the worst scoring defense in the NFL, second worst yards per play. Philadelphia is going to go in there, dominate the clock, be a nightmare for the Jets defense, take the Eagles to win, handily 33-23. Ravens at Steelers. Folks, these games are always close. What's my rule? When good organizations are humiliated, take them the next week. Pittsburgh plus four. I'm going with them. Since John

Harbaugh arrived in Baltimore. The average Steeler Raven difference in a game is one point. This is one of the best rivalries in football. Six of the last Steelers, seven Steelers games decided by one possession. The Ravens offense is struggling. It can be awful, held under 18 points in four of their last five games. Lamar Jackson, four picks last week. His turnovers have gone way up this year. He's in a rot. He's in a slump. And the Steelers and Mike Tomlin are a proud defense and a proud organization. The Ravens defense, by the way, allow six yards of play. Naji Harris is going to have a little bit himself an afternoon. If you play fantasy football, I think he's going to have a good afternoon. I'm going to take

an upset, take the point. Steelers over Baltimore, 2321. Broncos at Chiefs. Everybody loves Andy Reed and a buy. Doesn't mean he covers the spread. Kansas City's become one of the worst against the spread teams in the league, even off a by. And the Broncos defense this year, Vic Fangio, is outstanding. It's a really good defense. Nine points is way too many for a rivalry game in division. Opposing quarterbacks, passer ratings this year against Denver's 82. And Mahomes's passer rating in four of his last five games is 80 or below. I like Kansas City to win here. But this is a rivalry game, an excellent defensive staff, good personnel. I think it's choppy. I take the chiefs to win.

26, 23, but nine is way too many points here. Patriot said bills. Depends on the line, but right now it's Buffalo minus two and a half at home in a snowstorm. I'm going to take Buffalo in that instance. Now, earlier in the week, it was a bigger number, but at two and a half, I'll take Buffalo. Listen, their defense is great, and it's going to be a snowstorm. Okay, their defense this year is first or second in yards, points, opposing passer rating, and the weather's bad. So a defense has the curtain of bad weather behind it.

Josh Allen, seven games with 100 plus passer rating. By the way, last year against the Patriots, 2-0, 5 TDs won picks. Belichick has struggled in the last couple games against Josh Allen. I am taking, this really feels like it was going to be Buffalo's division, and here comes the rookie quarterback, and I think the snow and the bills push back. New England struggles to move the ball. 27 Buffalo, 20 New England. I'm not a huge fan of snow games unless it helps me in betting.

But I will say this weekend, I think that's going to be fun. I think that's going to be the game of the weekend. So I'm going to take some underdogs, the chargers, the Steelers, the Broncos, underdogs, and the favorite Eagles, my favorite pick of the week. And I'll take the bills minus two and a half. Fox Sports bet. All right, let's bring on Tori Holt, 11 years, seven Pro Bowls. Going to get a lot of votes already in the College Hall of Fame, Super Bowl champion,

one of the great receivers making his second appearance on the show. How are you? Tori, good to see you again. I saw you a couple of weekends ago or weeks ago. I know it. A couple of Super Bowls. So we were talking about this. Sometimes I think fans know there are slot receivers.

Yeah. And then there's your perimeter receiver. And the perimeter receiver is usually there's a catching radius. he's faster. The slot guys are Cole Beasley. Edelman. They're quick. And so OBJ, Robert Woods

does not get a lot of love. Robert's got a lot of Heinz Ward. He does the dirty stuff. He blocks. He's physical. Yeah. Nobody ever understood how good Heinz Ward was. But he does.

They did when he hit him. Exactly. And Robert Woods. And so Robert leaves and OBJ comes in. And to a lot of fans, it's like, well, OBJ is a great player. I don't think it works. I think this is going to be a struggle because OBJ is not Robert Woods.

And I watched last week and I'm like, no, they're forcing OBJ. When you look at OBJ, ideally, what would he be in what kind of offense? I think what you saw last week against the Packers is what O'Dell Beckham is. You saw he still has the ability to get open against one-on-one coverage. he could also be double coverage. As you saw in that game, the Packers were, as you see here, the double move. Yeah. That's a great route.

Yeah. Great technique. Yeah. And then the ability to finish. And the Packers were sitting on some of these Rams routes and then they came back with the double move. I think they should do more of that with Odell Beckham because he has the ability to win on every route in the route tree. Yeah.

Still runs incredibly wrong. And he can still run and he can run, which will set up double moves for O'Dell Beckham. So I think more double moves for him going forward. You'll see. And yes, he's not. Robert Woods. And Robert Woods is not him. Robert Woods added a dimension to the run game, to the passing game as well,

as well as blocking. Odell Beckham, to me, can still do some of the jet sweep. This is my opinion. I think he can still do some of the jet sweeps, the reverses. That's part of Shaw McVeigh's offense. That will allow them to somewhat stay on schedule. It's still going to take some getting used to. This is different. This is chemistry that him and Matthew Stafford is trying to build. And you don't

do that overnight, though they're professionals. I think the fans, even myself, are expecting them to do it a little quicker, but it's going to take time. That requires chemistry. That requires practice. That requires conversation. And I think as they go forward, you'll see he and Matthew Stafford continue to get on the same page, which will ultimately help this offense be a little bit more, I should say be a little bit more,

be more dimensional, be more diverse than what we saw in the past from this Rams team. So I was saying this yesterday. I like Amari Cooper a lot. if he plays five or six more years, puts up these numbers, he'll get some Hall of Fame votes. But I've always felt a quarterback to be great, to get the big bag, the 40 million, you have to elevate. You can't be elevated. Right.

I mean, we all know Calvin Johnson helped Matt Stafford. But in the end, Calvin Johnson didn't have huge production in college because the quarterback wasn't an NFL quarterback. So when I watch Amari Cooper with DAC, and he's still not there of the COVID stuff, he got winning last night. I still feel like he's Dax's security blanket. And when he's not right, Dax not right. Yeah,

I mean, Amari Cooper is fantastic. I mean, he's a... Why do you like it? Another guy, as I mentioned about O'Dell Beckham, he's a guy that can run every route on the route tree consistently. He also can run double moves. He's a deep threat guy. He has run after the catch. He's good in the red zone.

Talented, talented player. But they also have Michael Gallup, too. And the other kids... CD Lamb. CD Lamb that they drafted. You saw the catch by Michael Gallup last night. I mean, that was ballerina. I mean, he was like a ballerina.

But he has that kind of ability. I remember talking to Michael Gallup's coach, Elvis Witte, who coached him in college. And he said, T, said, Tori, this guy here has a chance to be really, really special. And you saw some of that last night with Michael Gallup. But back to Amari Cooper. Marry Cooper is a dynamic wide receiver.

He can beat press coverage, beat double coverage, beat zone. When he's in the lineup and he's healthy, and all three of those guys, Lamb, Gallup, and, Amari Cooper, to me, those are guys that can be 1,000-yard receivers. They can potentially have 3,000-yard receivers when they're all the health and all going. So he feels like a security blanket, a little Edelman to Brady, gronk Brady.

Well, he's comfortable with him. So you and Kurt Warner, did you feel like sometimes, and did he tell you, you were a security blanket? You could run multiple routes. No, he never told me that I was a security blanket, but the way that I played, my ability to get open consistently gives a quarterback a lot of confidence. he looks for that guy because he knows for the most part every time he runs the plate he has ability to get open so yeah you become a security blanket and maybe amari cooper is that that's what he feels like not the most i think cd lambs got more upside yeah as a game breaker very

talented yes and i and i said the a couple weeks ago i watched brady with gronk so fernette's running well tom's doing play action gronk is still his security blank oh yeah well again it's someone that he can trust is someone that's shown you consistently that he can get it done week after week after week regardless of what teams are doing against them this guy gronk marie cooper cooper cup these guys continue devante adams continue to be security blinks continue to be the conference builder that quarterbacks need so um you know it's interesting when you look at lamar jackson i've defended lamar um out of college i didn't know my takeaway out of college was third down will be the key because in high school and college

if he got pressured he just ran. And I'm like, you ultimately have to throw on third down. You can do some running and I think he's gotten a lot better at it. But he has hit a little bit of a month wall. Oh yeah. And now when he would struggle before you didn't get a ton of turnovers. You're getting a lot

of turnover. That's the problem. And so what do you see? I see someone that's just not reading it quickly and good enough in terms of coverage. You know, you hear all this on third downs, they run any zero blitzes. Well, find the open receiver, Lamar.

That's not, to me, that's not a hard coverage or play to try to figure out. It's zero coverage, meaning they're bringing all the pressure. You got one-on-one on the outside, which you got Bateman, you got Hollywood, and you got Sammy Walker. Somebody out of those three can get open. And I think Bateman is the guy who he needs to look more to. He always look for the tight-in, Andrews. Yeah, who's great.

Which, we talk about security blankets. That's Lamar's security blanket. I think all quarterbacks, Aaron Rogers may be an exception. I think all quarterbacks need one. Every quarterback wants a guy, for sure. A guy. No doubt about it. No doubt when it all fails, I know I can go to that guy.

He'll make the play. He'll get it done. I think Bateman, though, for the Ravens is a guy that Lamar can target more. It's kid can play. You can get open, he's smooth, he can run routes. He understands and recognizes coverage, has run out of the play, run out of the catch ability. big time playability. So that will help Lamar, I think, going forward.

But these last couple of weeks, he just looks like a guy that's just not seeing it well enough and reading it well enough, and he's just turning it over. I've got to ask you a question. We've had a lot of college coaches, Notre Dame's coach at LSU, Oklahoma coach at USC.

So this is just a fascinating to me. I want you to take me inside the culture of an athlete. So let's say I'm at Oklahoma. And, I mean, nothing against, as Joy said yesterday, it's nothing against the academics of Oklahoma, but I think of football school. Notre Dame, I think of a lot of stuff. Stanford, I think of a lot of stuff. Northwestern, I think of academics and football. But Oklahoma was a football power.

Yeah. And so I think Lincoln Riley had more pull than maybe a Brian Kelly did at Notre Dame. You would go there for more than just football at Notre Dame. A lot of kids were, right? And so you go to Oklahoma and you're a receiver. backs, receivers, that system. I mean, he's like the McVeha College. No doubt. Love it.

So then he leaves. And it's really interesting. If I'm a defensive lineman, I'm like, all right, well, maybe we'll bring a new defensive coach to Oklahoma. I don't care. But I do get a receiver a back, an offensive lineman going, well, I'm going, well, I'm going to go because he gives me a better chance to flourish. Yeah.

So that's my takeaway. So I don't blame kids. When the best offensive coach, I mean, literally in the country, decides I'm going to go and get another job, I don't think it's disloyal for a kid to go, I want to be. Not at all. So you tell me, if you had a great coach and would you enter the transfer portal, even if you had committed to a school, would it bother you if your son did or you did? Yes, because I'm a guy that's, I'm a loyal guy. I believe in that. So if I start there, I'm going to finish there. I say this to my kids.

My daughter plays soccer at NC State. And I've had this conversation with them when they were young. When you start something, you finish it. But I totally get it. Coaches get into this business to elevate and to move up. To take good positions, to get offered better positions. You don't mind when they leave? I wouldn't say that.

I wouldn't say that because it does bother me to an extent, because I just mentioned the loyalty part. Where's the interrogating, too? It's got to be some interrogating in what you're doing. But I also get that you're looking for a better position as a coach. And to leave Oklahoma and to come out here to USC. I mean, that's a prime job. And you already see that high school players,

top high school players are already committing to USC, being that Lincoln Rally is now higher because of what you just said. They know they have an opportunity to express their skills. set as a quarterback as a receiver, any skill player, and have the opportunity to play at the next level. He is producing players to go to the next level. So that's my take on. I'm a loyal, loyal guy.

And I think you should think coaches still consider the integrity of the sport. But now with this new NIL, I mean, everybody's playing. Players, as well, coaches alike. So that in itself is going to continue to make things challenging in college sports. And I also think, I've heard this from college basketball coaches, there is so much movement with players. Like if they don't play as freshmen, they're out. Now coaches feel less guilty about leaving.

They're like, the sport has become so transactional and so transient, the coaches are like, we all get the game here. And that's the thing is because it's become so transactional, it's to win years 10, 15, 20 years early. I mean, before, you know, you went to a school. I think about Coach Cutcliffe from Duke. Coach Cutcliff Yeah.

It's a, again, it's a loyal guy. He went there to coach to build the program. He stayed around. That was what he believed in. I don't have a problem with that, but I don't have a problem also with Lincoln Riley. I don't have a problem with either. No.

I'll give you an example. It's part of the business. Torrey, I said this year a day, and Joy was watching. I said, take Luke fickle. So the Cincinnati's moving into the Big 12 here. I don't know next year, next year. But he's built Cincinnati.

Yeah. Okay. And Oklahoma, Texas are leaving the Big 12. it's going to be a very average conference. Cincinnati, Luke Fickle's going to have that team win in 10, 11 games every year at this time. No doubt. So if you're in a weak conference and win 11 games,

you are always going to have to, if you leave, you will be bailing on a very good football team. So is Luke Fickle trapped? Because like Brian Kelly's argument was, I've been here 12 years, we are stacked, this is the time to leave. Yeah. Now is the time to leave.

And Notre Dame is, Notre Dame is a good program. They'll continue to get players. They'll continue to get good coaches. They're rolling. Yeah. And coach is going to LSU. Great players in that state alone. Oh, yeah.

And players across the country that want to come to LSU and play for Coach Kelly. So he left a good situation in Notre Dame to me for a great situation in LSU. SEC football. It's the best of the best. So in my opinion, he couldn't have gone wrong there. Yeah, so I guess, Joy and I, I'm for loyal guy, David Cuthless. I like lawyers, yes. And I'm for transactional.

I get it. Yeah. I'm for both. I think, and I do think college football, I think sometimes the media gets too pious and too precious. Folks, people are moving. It used to be, Joy and I say this all the time, it used to be it was unheard of that Larry Bird would never go play for them. Exactly. Now, when Bradley Beal doesn't. leave Washington. We're like, are you out of your mind?

The world's changed. And I don't think you're disloyal bouncing around to different networks. I think the world's more mobile. Yeah, well, it's the business of sports now, and particularly in college sports. And we're going to continue to see more of this each year. There's going to be better opportunities for coaches. There's going to be better opportunities for players. Players can jump in the portal.

We all have our narratives and our belief what's going to happen. What if Alabama, it's only a six-point spread, six and a half. What if Alabama beats Georgia? It's just catching.

Doesn't Alabama kind of have to be Georgia? Well, yeah. I mean, so it's, and by the way, the pressure's all on Georgia. This is Georgia's year. And Georgia does not. No, I mean, I don't think it is. I think it's on Bama. If Georgia loses, they're still in.

Yeah, I guess they are. If Alabama loses, how are they in the playoffs? They're done. So all the pressures on Alabama. Georgia can lose and be in. Yeah, pressure's on Alabama. Pressures on Alabama. I like Georgia to win.

Yeah, I do too. I don't think Bryce Young, the quarterback for I think will be under duress. I think Georgia's defense is the best college football defense I have seen in, I don't even know what to compare it to. It's probably as good as one of those Alabama. One of the Pete Carroll defenses or one of the Alabama defenses in the last 10 years. It is just all, you can watch Georgia play and you're like, oh, that's NFL players.

They're so fast and so physical that it's a joy. I know defensive football is not as fun, but Georgia is just going 100 miles an hour and knocking guys out. Joy of the news. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. Well, we've talked a lot about taunting this year. It's become a big point of emphasis in the NFL, and there's been a lot of controversial calls. Yeah.

And Chiefs Offensive Coordinator, Eric B. enemy, gave some advice to his team on how to avoid those. Oh. And the thing that we've stressed to our guys, this is a point of emphasis. So regardless of what you may think, that it's... that you seem to think that is harmless. That is not the case anymore. So we need to go back to the days of just handing the ball back to the way.

Get the end zone. Celebrate with you guys. And then we go on from there. That is a coach. I can stand behind. So Mike Tomlin and Eric B. Enemy are on my side. Feel very strongly about that. I mean, it's regulating the fun out of the game.

I absolutely hates the role. I love that. I love that. strict rigid approach. No, that is an approach. That is a response to the penalties and the punitive nature of the penalties. Like that was a taunting call, what they're showing right now. I mean, let's watch it again. This is a taunting call. Let me see this. I don't like that pointing thing. I could escalate. Excalate into what they wear helmets. Very concerning. There's nothing. Look, we already solved the whole taunting conversation. This, this, this

advice from Eric B. Enemy is fantastic. So that they don't have a taunting penalty in a big moment and lose the game because of it. Okay, so here's a prime example. Speed traps on the freeway. Yeah. During the holiday, you'll see

speed traps because people drink. And so it becomes a point of emphasis for local authorities. So you tell your kids, I know you're going to go out and party with your college friends, but it is a point of emphasis. It's ridiculous. But they're going to pull you over for three miles an hour over, not like eight.

And so what he's saying is, regardless of what you think, the league has told us, we're going to be ridiculous on this. Right. But if people drive recklessly, people die. If someone points so they're running as the end zone, some feelings are hurt. Well, it could be very ugly skirmishes. No. This rule is, it's honestly gone to the point where if they don't change it next year,

there's like fans are over it. fans are over it. Like, it's a consensus thing. It's caused, it's caused, it's hurt the outcome of games. Well, that's nebulous. I don't know. It is. It is.

It is a subjective call based on the mood of the referee. But, and, and, and there's no reason that's something about feelings and emotions and perspective on what you think taunting is or is not should affect the outcomes of games. I just want Eric B. Enemy to know. I, if I was literally, if I was a general manager, I'd be like, it's a very mature way to look at it. I get to be in a grumpy old guy. on one topic every year. This is true.

You are definitely grumpy old guy on this topic. I'm protecting America from all this taunting and radical behavior of the kids. How will the kids learn how to read if someone points to someone while they're running and Clyde Edwards-Hillard's hilarious to someone running in the end zone? Chiefs are favored by nine, according to Fox bet against the Broncos. If you had to bet that football game. No, I'm definitely taking the Broncos. I think the Chiefs are going to win the game, but this is a divisional game.

The Broncos defense is good. Do you know Teddy Bridgewater does not have a turnover since week seven? They're not going to hand you this game. Like, Denver doesn't, Teddy Bridgewater may not win it for you. He's not going to lose it for you. We've had a lot of really big lines this year, though. Like uncharacteristically huge lines. Remember at the beginning of the season, there was like 18 and a half.

This is an NFL game. It was crazy. So they've come down a lot. Yeah. But that still feels like a lot of points. So Taysam Hill struggled last. night. Well, he had an injury a little bit, but he still was bad. He threw four interceptions in the Saints 27-17 loss to the Cowboys, and he acknowledged after the game it's hard to be

successful with so many turnovers. I feel like we did some things really well tonight, and then we did some things really poorly. Obviously, it's tough to win a game. We can turn the ball over four times, and so as you look at the stats and you look at what we did, that's obviously the thing that jumps out to you that's disappointing. Well, he did hit his hand. According to Ian Rappaport, he is feared to have suffered a torn tendon in his middle finger. He might need surgery. At some point, more tests are coming.

It's called mallet fingers, what Russell Wilson dealt with earlier in the year. My question is, if you suffer that injury, and we clearly all saw it, what happened. I believe it was Micah that he ran into. Probably. It would be Micah. He's everywhere. Right. Trevor's, I mean, it's not hurt.

I mean, I understand that Taysam is out there because Trevor Tomey is struggling, but if Tassum then becomes injured with something that's going to cause him to be this massively inaccurate in a game that is kind of determining the course of the rest of your season, why do you not take him out? Well, because, yeah, it's a legitimate question. I mean, listen, you can say the reason he threw four picks is the injury, and I certainly there was two throws. That wasn't one of them.

I mean, that's just done a good throw. one of his throws, I thought, looked like, oh, that's an injury throw. Russell Wilson had two throws the other night against Washington Monday Night Football. And both of them were like, oh, he just couldn't grip the ball. But then Russell also missed twice D.K. Metcalfe wide open. It's like, that's not a finger issue. I don't think Taysam Hill sees the field that well. I don't.

I think he's an athletic kid I'd love on my roster, but I'm not paying him $45 million. No, but also the thing with these injuries, and similar to the conversation about he should not be named. the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. If you're going to be on the field, I understand if you're dealing with some sort of injury, you might have limitations, right? Like, say a guy's knee is kind of tweaked or ankle or something like,

okay, like he might not be as mobile in today's game or something. But if you're so injured that it's causing you to throw four interceptions, you're too injured to play in the game. Yeah. Especially if you have an option of a backup quarterback, who was the starter last week. Yeah. So that's the part that I don't understand.

I understand things happen in the game. You might tweak something, whatever. So it limits your game. But either you're that inaccurate or you're too injured to play in the game. It has to be one or the other to me. Because you can't blame it on injury. He was putting the ball in some places. There could have been more interceptions than he had, which was four.

Now, he did end up rushing for, oh, my earring's falling off. He did end up rushing for 101 yards. Oh, he's a great, actually. I don't understand why they didn't lean into that more in the first half. You can argue he's a top five athletes. athlete in the league. I mean, he's a really special athlete. He is. That's why they like him, but that doesn't necessarily make

for a starting quarterback. So Lincoln Riley has flipped another recruits. Oh, yes. Hearing this. Five-star running back, Relique Brown. Oh, he's good. Originally committed to Oklahoma, had decided to switch to USC. Don't blame him. Malachi Nelson also made the switch

earlier in the week after Riley became the head coach. We talked about this once the announcement had been made that there were about six guys that decommitted and then there were Malachi Nelson said he decommitted. Relic had said, kind of hinted that he was going to follow Lincoln Riley there as well. Whoever Oklahoma hires, they're not going to be as good offensively as Lincoln Riley. They're not.

So if you're a running back wide receiver, I would imagine there'll be about three kids that transfer out of Oklahoma and there's going to be four to five recruits that flip. I bet you it's almost all offensive players. Now, if they hire Brent Venables from Clemson, they'll probably pick those kids up, they'll probably get kids to flip from other schools that signed with Oklahoma or somebody else but wouldn't go to Oklahoma because Lincoln Roddy's more offense. So if they hire Brent Venables, he will flip some kids into Oklahoma.

Oklahoma can take a deep breath. They'll be fine. But don't blame a kid. Like, I bet you if they signed Brent Venables, they would get three or four kids in the country that had them second that would flip to Oklahoma first because an edge rush or a corner. Venable's a legendary defensive coach. Well, Brown is, it goes to

Modern Day High School in Santa Ana. So again, it's like, oh, these kids are California kids. It's not shocking that they're changing to go to USC. Six other four and five-star recruits besides Nelson and Brown decommitted from Oklahoma when USC took the job. Or when Riley took the job at USC.

Look, here's the thing about all this, in my opinion. The word loyalty is the incorrect word to use. You talked about hate being applied to Tom Brady earlier. The word is not hate. You don't pay attention to things that you hate. Right. Like, that's not how humans behave. Right. You can be jealous. You don't be envious at them. You don't consume. You don't eat things you hate or watch things you hate. I hate hot dogs. I do not

eat them. I don't even like looking at them. Yeah. So we're mislabeling the term here. And loyalty, the word loyalty, sparks a particular emotion in everyone because nobody wants to be labeled. Disloyal. There goes out. As disloyal, yes. Because it's a a very aggressive thing to say. Yeah, you're disloyal. So when you call someone a disloyal person, like that's, that's a character assassination. I am a loyal person. Right. What are you loyal to? You can be loyal to yourself and that's okay. You can be loyal to your family and that's okay. You can be loyal to your future and that's okay. So what are you loyal to? So saying these kids are like not loyal or they're like they're not finishing

something like they're not committing to something like it's their responsibility to do what's best for them. Not what's do what's best for Oklahoma boosters. Yes. Like I'm not going to judge a kid for changing his mind when the circumstances have changed. Now, if he commits somewhere, nothing's changed and then he bails, that's maybe a different conversation. You're going to need somebody here in the next three days to be leaving and be disloyal to the kids they promised within the next 72 hours. So get out of the loyalty thing. It sounds like... It's just not the right word to use. Yeah. It's like people that have never been offered a job. It sounds like you're like naive. Like this is the way the world works. It feels, it feels naive.

Naive is the right word. Naive. I don't want to go as far as childish, but it's, it is very naive to assume that people must be loyal to you or they have to fulfill some sort of spoken commitment to you when the circumstances have changed that may in fact harm their future. Yeah, once Oklahoma lost to Oklahoma State, you're out of the national championship picture. Once Oklahoma decided to go to the SEC may be the circumstances for Lincoln Riley changed. Like it was Michigan over Ohio State and Oklahoma State over Oklahoma. And it was all these big upsets. So this week, everybody's like, Like, it's all figured out. One of these favorites is going to lose. Now, I do think Cincinnati, Houston, keep your eye on that one. I think Michigan matches up well with Iowa. What about Baylor, Oklahoma State?

That's very legitimate. Baylor's very well coached. And I like Oklahoma State a lot. So it's just funny. If I suggest your favorite loses, I'm an idiot, right? But you do get one of these favorites is going to lose. either George is going to lose, Oklahoma State is going to lose, Cincinnati is going to lose, Michigan's going to lose. A lot of people think Michigan's in big trouble.

I think the game's going to be low-scoring and ugly, but I just don't think Iowa has the firepower. What's the line in the Houston-Cinthin-Sinthony game? I think you may be right. Baylor, Oklahoma State could be it. Cincinnati, 10 and a half. No, I think you're right. I think Baylor over Oklahoma State is probably makes the most sense because they have a very competent staff. They can score

points. I mean, Alabama has to win that game. They have to win. I don't know how they move the ball. You know, again, what do I know? Does Alabama get into the college football playoff if they lose to Georgia? No, no, absolutely not. So they are the, out of all these games,

I just want to see. Well, I don't know the most desperate, but like they have to. You know what I want to see? I want to see. This is what I want to see. I want to see Georgia in and Michigan in. I'd like to see Ohio State, or excuse me, Oklahoma Oklahoma State face Georgia because they're weird and they've never faced a team like them. And I think they'd give Georgia a little bit of a headache for a while. Outside of that, I don't care.

I don't have any, I don't really care. But I do want to see Georgia get in. They've had a great program forever. They deserve. Yeah, it's not going to hurt my feelings of Alabama's not in. That's right. Same here. And I want to see Michigan.

I like it. I like the story of Michigan. After that, I don't care. But there's part of me, I know the state of Oklahoma to be shocked by this. But Oklahoma State is just good. enough on both sides that I think Georgia players would be massively overconfident and that Oklahoma State and Gundy, he's been there forever now. They got a system. Their defense, they play real defense by Big 12 standards. They can move the ball, pass run. I like chaos.

Yeah, of course. We always root for chaos. So I think, I don't think Cincinnati's going to win a game in that playoff. Oklahoma State could beat Michigan and I think can make it uncomfortable for Georgia. So Oklahoma State I want to see in there. So three teams, I can. I can, kind of want to see. After that, I don't care. I just don't care. I'm not anti-Alabama. I just, I like fresh stuff. No, and they'll be back. It's not over. Yeah. By the way, if you look at the NFC this morning after last night's game, I think it's decided. Dallas, I mean, go go look right now at the records. Arizona leads their division by two games, and now they're getting their quarterback back and the Rams feel lost.

Tampa's running away with their division. Green Bay is now running away with their division. And Dallas is running away with their division after last night. So what's interesting is I always try to find the common thread. So what do those four teams, the Cardinals, the Packers, the Bucks and the Cowboys have in common? Great quarterbacks? I don't think Dax. Great.

I think he's very good. Great head coach. Well, you don't like McCarthy. Great special teams. You trust Mason Crosby? a great defense. Well,

Cowboys are like middle of the pack. I think what you have is really, I think you have above average quarterback play, but you know

the other thing I think you have here? Playmakers. And I think that's the one thing about Dallas I'll give them credit for.

Micah Parsons is a playmaker. Trayvon Diggs is a playmaker. A Randy Gregory and Healthy is a playmaker. C.D.

Lamb is a playmaker. Datt can be a playmaker. A Tony Pollard now is a playmaker more than Zeke.

And I do think Amari Cooper not now, but in about two weeks. He's got the COVID thing. He was tired last night. You could tell you just, he didn't have his wind. Dallas has all these teams that lead the NFC. They've got playmakers.

And I think that's the key. You don't have to have a great coach, great special teams, great defense. But we are in 2021. What Lincoln Riley is trying to do to USC is get playmakers. And I was talking to an NFL GM about, it was day, either Thanksgiving of the day before, and we talked about this. And I said, you know, I think your team needs blank.

And he goes, oh, I wouldn't draft that position in the first round. And I was like, but you need that. And he goes, that's not a position I would draft in the first round. He goes, I want somebody getting their hands on the ball. A quarterback, a running back, a wide receiver. Because I want my first round pick, I want you around the ball. Cornerback, you can take the ball away. So it's interesting.

Maybe you don't have those conversations 20 years ago. But right now, what makes the Cowboys viable, about 7-8 playmakers, a lot on defense.
