Here we go. Hour 2, Greg Kossel, five minutes, to break down the weekend. Whether you bet it, fantasy football, just want to get smarter. Greg Kosel in five minutes. Big win for the Dodgers last night, play again tonight. Big, big win for them. J-Mack, big bets, end of the weekend. Bounceback weekend. Keep your eye, Texas, George. I like Texas in that one.

Let me just interject something real quick. So I guess pull football focus was listening to our Brock Purdy Mahomes conversation. Oh yeah. They just tweeted out, most TD's passing under pressure since last season. You want to guess who's first? Let me guess Andy Dalton. Brock Purdy leads the NFL and TD's passing under pressure since last season was 16. Here's an error question. Who leads the NFL in the last two years in hoisting Super Bowl trophies. I don't know. I'll have to check. I'll have to look online with it.

Congrats for your PFF grade. I'll take the trophy. Never seen anybody, you know, you're not going to see anybody with Kevin Burkhard up there. Look at my PFF trophy. Oh, the trophy. Won the stats this week, baby.

My grade, it's amazing. Bradshaw's up there putting his right. Congratulations on that grade. It's quite a day for all of us. It's not the way it works. Okay. So Aaron Roger, yeah, I tell you this before. Aaron Rogers goes dark very fast.

I like happy Aaron. I like optimistic Aaron. I like molyfluous Aaron. I don't know what it means. He used the word yesterday. I like that. So here is Aaron talking about adding Devonte Adams to the New York Jets.

Here it is. I knew that there's conversations, but I knew there were other teams involved. So I literally found out it close to 1 o'clock in the morning. um when he said he was getting on a plane and i was just kind of my heart dropped and i was like to where and he said new york i was like really um yeah yeah i knew there was interest but i knew that there was a lot of other things uh in play so optimistic errand happy aaron is great at the podium now does this have a feeling like uh if we have another kid it'll fix our marriage

then you you get the immediate joy and then about six months into it, you're like, yeah, I didn't solve our issues. There's a little bit like that. The Jets are two and four. But I do think they're the best two and four team in the NFL. I think they're going to beat the Steelers. And I will say this, is that adding positivity around Aaron, when Aaron's happy, Aaron tends to play better, and I think that's a real thing. Happiness is also connected to expectations.

I think this is a nine or a ten-win team. I think they will battle to Week 17-18 with Miami for a playoff. They may get in. They may not. I predicted they won't. But if they do get in, they'll be the best wildcard team in the AFC. The top of the AFC, your Baltimore's, Kansas Cities, Buffaloes, the top teams in the AFC, the division winners, those are really, really good teams.

The wild card, you know, in Indianapolis, New York Jets, Chargers, who don't really have a lot of weapons on the perimeter, those are beatable teams. So just lower expectations, 9 and 8, 10, and 10. seven, you got to be happy with that. You've got to be happy. This is not a 13-win team. It's not a 12-win team. And with that, Greg Kosell, 45 years NFL films joins us.

So let's start with the Jets. I like DeMonte Adams. He's expensive. I don't think he's quite in his prime, but he's really good. He's a heck of an athlete, good route runner. So what does he add to you? Because what I think is interesting is Garrett Wilson is a really nice player. and he's young. I don't think he wants to take a back seat to anybody.

He and Aaron just forged this relationship. But what does Devante add? Maybe the Jets don't have? Yeah, I'll answer it this way. And first I want to say that I thought Aaron Rogers threw the ball exceptionally well on that game against Buffalo. He made some throws that were really high-level throws, which we know he can make. But I think when you look at the combination of Wilson and Adams, what Adams gives you is a true X-receiver to the boundary side of the formation, the short side of the field. He can win one-on-one. And, of course, he did that when he was in Green Bay with Aaron for eight years, and that's

what he can do. Garrett Wilson, and I love Gary Wilson. I loved him coming out of college. I love the way in which he plays. I think he probably fits best, Colin, as more of that movement Z receiver. The guy you line up on the strong side of the formation, you use him in motion, you get him free access into his route. He's got great quickness.

I think that this gives them that true boundary X, which is what they think they think. thought they were getting with Mike Williams. Now, Mike Williams is not that guy. He's late in his career. He's been injured a lot. Obviously, he's not the guy. And that's why they made the trade for Devante Adams. But now, I think that's what it gives them. It gives them that true boundary X that can win one-on-one. And one thing about Rogers, and the quarterbacks who play in this league for a while, understand it, is when it's one-on-one, you've got to throw the ball. It's up to your receivers to win. It's not up to you to win. You throw the ball to the one-on-one match-ups, can win those. Okay. Now, Amari Cooper, he's cheaper. He's also productive. May not have the over-the-top

athleticism of a Devante Adams, but I do like they have Dawson Knox, they have Kincaid, they have James Cook, they have the slot receiver. I think he fits nicely. I think, you know, I think they look at that rookie receiver they have and they like him, but that's a development. That's a process. What is Amari Cooper add to the bills in your opinion? In some ways, the same thing. They do not have an outside And by the way, I really like Khalil Shakir, but he's very much a slot movement type receiver. They do not have an outside receiver at this point, because we don't know what Keon Coleman is yet. They don't have an outside receiver that can win one all one. And you really need that in this league.

It's very much a match-up league at times, and you need receivers that you feel confident as a quarterback that can win one-on-one. We know that Josh Allen is not shy about delivering the football. But when you don't have receivers that can win, it makes it very difficult. difficult to have a consistent passing game on a week-to-week basis and the hope for them is of course that Amari Cooper can do that that he can win one-on-one and make Josh Allen feel like he has a place to go with the ball that's not based on scheme. Okay so Baker may feel a lot of these guys the Gino's the Darnolds the rebirth of all of them. Baker's playing as well as anybody. I said this last week it's almost

like his arms gotten stronger. He's I've always thought if he plants and he has time to throw he's got a great arm. He really can rear back He really can, he's got a heater. So, you know, you're not going to run around a ton, but he's like a Bo Nix. He can move. What do you make a Baker? I mean, Tampa Bay, I'd say nobody's paying attention to him because of the Niners and the Ravens and the Chiefs. I wouldn't want to play Tampa Bay.

I think they're an interesting dog. What do you make of Baker this year? Well, I think so much has to do as well with coaching when it comes to quarterbacks. And Baker's talented. You're 100% right about the way he can throw a football. You talk to quarterbacks in the league, and they'll say Baker's one of the better throwers in the league. So he throws the ball really well. But now it's Liam Cohen who runs this offense, and Liam Cohen has the Rams background.

So we're seeing a lot of motion, a lot of condensed sets. The nature of the past game really helps to find things for Baker so he can play the way Colin you just suggested, where he can hit his back foot, and for the most part, then deliver the football. So that's one reason I think he's looked more comfortable this year. Now, I will say last week, and they put up almost 600 yards of offense against the Saints, he did not have his best game, even though the numbers looked really, really good. But for the most part this year, he's been really decisive in the pocket. And when he's decisive in the pocket, because the scheme allows him to be, he can look really good.

So this question is what I'm really interested in, because what I don't have is the access to the film you have and the knowledge you have, your historical, intellectual knowledge of all the things you see. So a lot of times if a quarterback struggles, you're watching film and it's the interior O line is beat up. It's the play column. You know, the routes, I mean, Troy Aikman this week is crushing Dallas and their receivers for running bad routes. So Philadelphia had their star receivers back. Cleveland's a tire fire. And they, off a buy, their first two series, Jalen's O for five with two punts.

I'm like, that's not a, someone should do off a buy. Someone big, they's going to do off a buy. What is wrong with this offense? Well, I think that Jalen Hertz is a certain kind of quarterback, and he doesn't work real well in the middle of the field. He's not at his core a timing anticipation thrower, and most coaches believe you can't teach that. You can dial guys back, but you can't get them to make those kinds of throws between the numbers, between the hashes, those tight window throws.

And the reason that's important, Colin, is it does limit what you can do with your game plan and your past game. So Brown comes back, and they hit some 50s. 50-50 balls to the outside. Brown may be the best in the league on those kinds of plays with his body control, his strength, his ability to shield defenders, but you can't live on 50-50 balls. So at some point, you need a more multidimensional pass game. And my guess is, Kellyn Moore is trying to figure that out now because Jalen Hertz is not really the kind of quarterback that can make those throws between the numbers. There's quarterbacks now, young quarterbacks, the C.J. Strouds,

phenomenal making those timing anticipation throws. That is very much innate. Jalen Hertz is not that kind of thrower. So there are limitations to what they can do with their past game. So Petsburgh now appears to be pivoting to Russell Wilson. And Big Ben came out this week and said they're winning, he's playing well enough. The numbers, J-Mack just offered this. The numbers are pretty good with Justin Fields. I think there's some limitations with him in the pocket. But I like Arthur Smith, their backs, their tight end. There's a lot of elements here. So does Russell Wilson, I mean, you've seen so much film.

What's funny about this is when I was in love with Russell Wilson, you pushed back for years. And when I fell in love with Trevor Lawrence, you'd say, Colin, you like him more than the film likes them. So you're right on both of those. You're two and oh on me. I'm not, you're a guy I'm not going to play poker with. But does Russell give them an element maybe that elevates their offense? Well, it's always the eye in the sky, Colin. It's not my opinion.

It's the eye in the sky. I think they're making a bet here. They're making a bet that if Russell Wilson is indeed the starter, that he can give them more in the intermediate and vertical pass game. That he's a play-action quarterback, and they do have a strong run game, or they have a run game that's voluminous. They want to run the football, so they can work off that, and they can get a player like George Pickens,

who in terms of sheer physical traits, is probably a top five receiver in the league, but is really kind of underutilized right now with Justin Fields. So they're making a bet that they'll get more out of the passing game, maybe less out of the run game, because Fields gives you that run game element that Wilson does not. So I think that's the bet they're making if they're going to turn to Wilson, that you'll get more out of the past game.

And in today's NFL, that's more important than a voluminous run game. So I think this weekend we got C.J. Stroud and Jordan Love. And I think Jordan Love is, you know, Green Bay does this well. They draft and you sit. They always give you an offensive coach. They always give you a stable offensive line. Usually a decent running game, not

always, but their elements right now are I mean, tied ends. They have three I like, wide receivers. So when you look at Jordan Love, I said this a couple weeks ago, he's trying to find his footing here. He doesn't have six great years back to back. He has a 10 game stretch, so then he gets banged

up. I look at this Green Bay offense and I'm like, I know they're a Super Bowl potential team. They're a little younger than San Francisco, Kansas City, Baltimore, maybe, and the teams I like. But what do you see? What does Matt Lefleur do with Jordan Love? What does he pull out of him that we didn't see his first five games last year? And now we're seeing again, is it the magical Lefleur? Because it does, it does appear, Greg, that he does let him make mistakes. He does let him improvise sometimes. Well, he's that kind of quarterback, but I think watching their offense, I'm always impressed by the passing game schematics. It is such a perfect mix of schematics, creating throws for love, who is maybe top three or four in terms of overall physical traits as a quarterback in this league.

And he is willing to be aggressive. So you're right, Colin. There are times he's a little reckless, a little undiscipline. You hope that that just changes with experience, that he recognizes. is that, hey, there are certain things I can do, certain things I can't do. He also does have a tendency to throw too many balls falling away, and that has to change. But you are dealing with a really high-level talent, and just the schematics. He threw a touchdown to read maybe a four- or five-yard touchdown last week,

and obviously in the low red zone. That was just so beautifully schemed. It turned out to be a great throw as well, but how they got to it and how they defeated a coverage that they anticipated was absolutely beautiful. So I just think that marriage is really, really good, and I would expect love to continue to improve. So San Francisco is hosting Kansas City. So the elements, the last couple of years that Mahomes has to throw with, I mean, it's a grab bag. They bring Juju Smith-Schuster back.

They get Xavier Worthy, who's more gadget than volume guy. Rishie Rice is a one, now he's hurt. Mahomes has thrown some really ugly picks. And my take is, every week we're asking. him to figure out another part of the jigsaw puzzle. I mean, just when Rishi Rice was a one, he gets hurt. Is that creating on film? Is it the indecisiveness, new receivers, different routes? What's creating sort of his meh play? Well, I certainly can tell you what's in his head, but I can tell you that the film shows that there's too many times where he is too quick to move.

Now, is it possible that that's the case is because he's uncomfortable with his receivers and doesn't feel confident in waiting and delivering the ball? I don't know the answer to that. But there was a play last week where he clearly moved too soon, and he had worthy, wide open on a deep over route that probably would have been a touchdown. So he's 10, you know, every year is a different year. This is not a debate as to whether Mahomes is a great quarterback. We know Mahomes is a great quarterback.

You know, as you said before I came on, you know, he's got a few Super Bowls that prove it. So we're not debating whether he's a great quarterback. But this is a different year with a different group of receivers, and he's playing as if he just does not feel comfortable, staying in the pocket and letting the offense work. Now, maybe they'll get to that point, but we also know that there may be nobody better in the game and making plays on the move. He's so comfortable on the move with unbelievable vision. Okay, before we get to Caleb Williams stuff, to close it out, I want to talk Jaden Daniels. I said this week, I can see six games. After six games as an NFL

quarterback, two things I'll see. A red flag or excellent traits. Jaden Daniels works for me. I wish he was 15 pounds heavier. I wish he was a little sturdier. But what did you see in a loss to Baltimore from Jaden Daniels? Well, he played very well. And the thing is, is he's really a pocket player

at his core. He leaves as a parachute. That's not the first thing he does. It's the last thing he does. And this touchdown we're looking at right now, by the way, was high-level quarterbacking for a rookie, the ability to work through that progression and understand where to go with the football. But he is a pocket player at his core. He's very comfortable in the pocket. He sees it well, and he's precisely accurate with his ball location. And again, ball location is the term I like to use as opposed to accuracy,

because you have to place the ball in specific spots in the NFL. It's not just throwing to a player. And he's shown through six games. And you saw it in college as well, Colin, that he really is so precisely accurate with his ball location. So he's played extremely well. And yes, he also does have that ability at times to make plays with his legs and break down the defense. And Kingsbury's doing a great job with him. It's a perfect example of helping a quarterback, not protecting him, helping a quarterback with what you're asking him to do,

being very specific in the reeds and the designs of your offense so that he does not get stuck in the pocket. So we've seen Caleb Williams get better every week. And media reports, guys like me are out here saying, hey, you had a big meeting with the coaches, a come to Jesus meeting, but you look at film, slow, steady growth. Where's it coming from? The film tells you, I don't want to use the word simplify because that is a bad kind of But again, I just talked about helping Jaden Daniels. They're doing a great job of helping Caleb Williams, of really defining the route concepts.

So it defines the reads. It keeps them relatively basic, which, by the way, is the job of the coordinator. You should be doing that with every quarterback so that he knows exactly who to look at, where to go with the ball. And they also give him some plays that are basically no read plays. You know, he's thrown the most screen passes of any quarterback in the league. league through six games. Those are plays, obviously, that are no-read plays. The touchdown he threw to Cole Comet last week, the first one, which we're going to show in a moment here, that's basically a no-read play that becomes a 31-yard touchdown. So they're doing an outstanding job with him,

and make no mistake, this kid can throw the ball exceptionally well. He controls it beautifully. I mean, you know, you saw him for those two years at USC. It comes out of his hands so, so beautifully. Yeah. So let's go to the player. week, which includes Caleb Williams and the improving Bears offense. Yeah, this was the first touchdown in the game last week in London, where he hit Cole Commet on the middle screen. A play I've seen numerous times in the league, you've probably seen it as well. It's beautiful. You fake the swing one way, you fake the screen the other way, and then you throw the middle screen. It's so beautifully designed. A perfect example of what we're

speaking about with kind of a no-read play. So what you're going to see here is you're going to see that Williams is in the gun. It's going to be a two by two set. Now, we want to focus on commit just so people know where he is because he catches the touchdown, but there's a lot that goes on before we get to that. So what you're going to see here, and there's Commet, he's attached to the wide side of the field. Now, you're going to see Keenan Allen is going to go into jet motion and then orbit motion. This has become a staple motion concept in the NFL. You see everybody do it. Okay, so he's going to go into this motion because he's the first part of this play and

the corner tracks him. Now that's a pretty good indicator that you're going to get some man coverage. So he tracks them and as I said now it looks like it's going to be a swing to Allen because you can see Caleb Williams immediately look out that way and that's a critical piece of the play. He has to turn his head and his eyes to Keenan Allen. That's the first part of the play. So now there's two stacked linebackers here.

They're really the targets on this play. Now the next thing we want to see is the right guard is pulling the other way away from Allen to the opposite side of the field. And again, we talked about those linebackers being the critical piece here. So what you want to see here is you're going to see Williams now. He's going to look to Swift as if there's going to be a screen to the other side of the field. And it's neither one of these plays, but look what happens with the line. backers. They, the eye discipline, they don't know where to look, you're targeting them.

So what do you get? Commit wide open in the middle of the field, and now this becomes, as I said, it's a no read throw. This is the play. This is where he's throwing the ball based on the design of the play. So these are the kinds of things you do to help young quarterbacks, because now this is easy, by NFL standards, Colin. It's relatively a simple play. So now, commit, obviously does a great job to score the touchdown. But this is a is how you help young quarterbacks. You get them comfortable. You don't ask them to do more than they can do early in their careers because the NFL is a different game than college football. Greg, CoSell, 45 years NFL films. As always, Greg, appreciate it.

Thanks, Colin. Appreciate it. Yep. So here you have two defensive coaches, Chicago, Washington, but they've got the right offensive coordinators in both instances, helping the young quarterback. And JMAX over here smirking. Beke's like, eh? I hear that about Mahomes. Mahomes is struggling. This is, when Greg's really good at this, Greg's telling you, Mahomes doesn't trust his protection in the pocket. And so he's letting the ball go early, sometimes pick, sometimes incompletion.

But there has been more ugly moments, whereas Brock Purdy, even without Christian McCaffrey, trust Shanahan, trusts his run game, trust his protection. Remember, Mahomes has kind of average tackles. You talked about that before the year. They don't have but checkup. Yeah. So he didn't have his starback, seventh round or not. He doesn't love his tackles.

And so what you're doing, you're speeding the game up for Mahomes. He's good enough to win, but it gives you ugly moments with Mahomes. Which turnstile on the left side gets to face Bosa this week, huh? Is Andy Regis going to flip a coin? I mean, both of them struggle badly. But let's see Bosa maybe wreck the game for San Francisco. I don't want to give away my pick too early. You're obnoxious.

I'm excited. That's a better word for. I'm excited too. I'm sure it's on Fox. We only do good games here. We had to call the Dodgers. Quit shutting people out. We want more competitive games. Want more herd? The herd

All right, Colin, let's start with the big name wide receivers getting traded this week. Devante Adams to the Jets, Amari Cooper, the bills. Well, the chiefs, who we've talked about, they kind of have a needed receiver. with Rishi Rice down and likely done for the season. Patrick Wilms, he says he's not worried.

He believes Casey has enough talent to chase the three peep. I have extreme confidence with the guys that are on that football field. I mean, they've won games. They've won Super Bowls. They've made plays in big moments. And Brett Veach does a great job of bringing players in that can step up whenever their numbers called. Every time I step on that football foot, I feel like we have the best ability to win.

And I think that adds to credit to Brett Veach and Coachree bringing in guys that really get after it and put in the work to be great every single day. Yeah, they trust their guys. They don't need to be desperate when you got the best quarterback in the world. Don't have to. Xavier Worthy, I'm looking at the depth chart. It's terrifying. Xavier Worthy, the rookie who can basically do one thing.

Juju Smith-Schuster, Justin Watson, Sky Moore, Mikul Hardman. You know what I see? Dependable receivers. Maybe not flashy to your liking. I'm not a flashy guy. I'm like, can you catch and run? and does your quarterback trust you? I was Greg Cole's saying the opposite

what Patrick Mahomes is saying. He's saying Mahomes doesn't trust his guys. Mahomes like, I have total faith. Well, he doesn't trust his protection. He trusts his guys. He just doesn't trust his protection. That's when quarterbacks are letting it rip early. And Mahomes has a good sense of the pocket.

made headlines for blasting his wide receiver, Mike Williams. Kind of blamed him for the interception at the end. It just felt like it was unnecessary for Rogers to go after Williams. Well, former Jet QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, he was not a fan of how

Rogers handled things, saying, why can't he shoulder all the blame in the media and then get behind closed doors with Mike Williams with a whole offense or the whole team and say they're not doing their job and tell them he needs more out of them. Fitzpatrick is saying he should take accountability to the media instead of throwing his guy under the bus.

Now that is very interesting, Colin, that a quarterback would go after Rogers. We don't hear a lot of people go after him. People in the media, but not former quarterbacks. Well, he's right. I mean, the old rule is management can scold. in person, but not publicly. You do it privately. So Aaron's got a certain gravitas about him. There's no reason to throw a guy under the bus. I mean, I'm not a big. And Mike Williams, I asked

somebody in the league today. And they're like, yeah, nice guy, good red zone target. They thought the chargers would go back and look at him. Just just give you, you know, Mike Williams kind of a tough matchup for a corner in the red zone. He's a go route guy. But yeah, this is the thing that we've said. By the way, you and I have been consistent on this. I've been on this for six years. Aaron goes dark very quickly. He gets very sullen. He starts pointing fingers. He is a bailer, not a balder.

He's not a foxhole guy. When the going's good, he's great. But he will bail on you in one second. And, you know, there's a lot of athletes. You don't see a lot of quarterbacks that have that. A lot of quarterbacks are well-liked. I mean, Darnold is well-liked on every team he's been at. Whether he's good or not, he's been liked.

And Jared Goff is not a finger-pointer. And Mahalms is not a finger-pointer. Well, sometimes the superstars aren't. well liked because they drive him hard. Michael Jordan was really tough on his teammates. Peyton Manning would criticize publicly on the sidelines. You know, Tom Brady can be tough. I don't have a problem. I don't have a problem on the sidelines barking. I have a problem after a loss. Eli Manning understood New York. He didn't make himself available after wins. He was always available to the press after losses. Aaron's the opposite. When he's winning, he's smiling and charismatic,

and when he's losing, he's passive-aggressive and finger-pointing. It's just not a good quality for, forget quarterback. It's just not a good quality. I think the phrase I heard was, praise publicly, criticized privately. Yes. Words to live by. And Aaron Rogers, this is what he does. This is what the Jets wanted.

They got in bed with this guy, and now they've got to deal with it. Final story, Colin, is Tampa Bay coming off that blowout win of the Saints. Your guy, Baker Mayfield, on fire. It's a primetime showdown on Fox College Football Friday as Ice, contestant, Dylan Gabriel, leads second-ranked Oregon against Purdue. It all kicks off tomorrow night at 8 Eastern on-off. All right, Jay Mack, we both came off a winning week last week, and I've got to be honest. I picked the ducks over Ohio State feeling pretty pretty good about that. Here we go, our Big Ten Betts.

It's time for Big Betts. Colin and Jay Mack make their... favorite big 10 bets of the week. Okay, I'm going to take the under on Oregon Purdue. So Oregon's defense, Purdue's not a good football team. Oregon's defense will keep Purdue, which has been held under 10 points in two of their last three games down. But I think Oregon comes out offensively a tad flat.

It kind of feels 40 to 10, 37 to 13. Oregon wins. Clearly the better team, but it's very hard to ask your team to play the game, their best game in two years. equal it. I think Oregon will be a little off its game. Purdue will hang around for a while. I want the under 61.5

total points. I like that. That's a good read. I will go with Nebraska getting six and a half on the road at Indiana. Undefeated Indiana. Fun stat from Fox. Indiana has not trail for a second this season. They're a great story. They got JMU's coach. They got a million guys from the transfer portal.

However, they haven't played anybody. Now, it's going to be a scene there this weekend. A lot of partying in Indiana. You mentioned Bloomington. This was seven. The Sharp guys took the seven on Monday and now at six and a half. I'll take the six and a half. Give me the Cornhuskers and Dylan Rayola going on the road for a nice cover. All right, I'm going to do an upset.

I'm going to take Illinois, three and a half at home. So Michigan's now in their third quarterback. They're the worst offense of the top 25 teams. They're averaging 23 a game. Illinois can get physical. Illinois has won two of the three games against ranked opponents. It's their game of the year. This is a major, major game for Illinois.

They had 50 points last week. Brent Bealema has been in his career. Pretty good in big games. Michigan's offense, they can't throw the ball. It'll be in the trenches. Could be low-scoring. And in a low-scoring game, I'll take the hook. Illinois, plush three and a half.

Yeah, I'm with you on this. I love this play. By the way, Michigan has Sparty next week. That's kind of a big game. They hate each other. The other thing, you mentioned they're on their third quarterback. I just looked this guy up. He's a seventh-year quarterback.

He's 25 years old. This is his third college. Colin, it's going to be a second quarterback. seventh start. What? Michigan is desperate for offense. I'm with you. I like Illinois. Okay, I'm going to take USC minus seven and a half. Listen, USC with Lincoln Riley is 18 and two against unranked teams. They win these games. Maryland just got blown out by Northwestern. Their defense is awful. So listen, USC scored on LSU. USC scored on Wisconsin. USC scored on Penn State. USC's going to score points here. This is a team that,

It's like two tackles and a bad coverage from being like five and one. This is not a terrible USC team. They're young. Maryland's 0 and 3 in conference. Again, all three losses for USC have come in the other team's final possession. This is a team that did beat LSU and was ahead and leading Penn State late. I'm going to swallow the seven and a half here. Okay, good luck with that cross-country trip.

Finally, I will go Michigan State. Give me Sparty plus five. At home against Iowa. This is simply a public versus smart guys play. So everybody saw Iowa smash Washington. They just saw the score. They didn't see that Washington outgained Iowa. They just kept with the self-inflicted wounds.

Now Iowa has to go to Michigan State, which has lost three in a row, but they're off a buy, Colin. I think that buy is big. Give me Sparty. I would not be surprised that they won this outright. Yeah. Plus five Michigan State. Yeah, that was my, that was a game, I thought. I think it's going to be low-scoring, tough, physical, take the points.

So you and I agree. I'm not gassing us up for the audience, but we have been hot. These last five weeks, the first two weeks I was awful. But we've been kind of cooking here on the Big Ten. Listen, you start watching the games. You get a feel for the teams. It's been a great year in the Big Ten. Those look like two guys you'd want to hang out with.

Go some chicken and wings. Watch the Dodgers beat up on the Mets. So I tell you this. When Aaron Rogers is happy, I like Aaron Rogers. And when he starts using big words, he's happy. And he was talking about more on getting Devante Adams as a New York Jet teammate. It was frustrating Monday night, but a really malefluous moment call to hear his voice. Monday night, well, I was this Tuesday morning because it was almost 1 o'clock.

Yeah, the first thing I thought of it was Malifluous too, so we agree on that. Here is Greg CoSell earlier this hour on what Devante brings to the Jets. What Adams gives you is a true X receiver to the boundary side of the formation, the short side of the field. He can win one-on-one. And of course, he did that when he was in Green Bay with Aaron for eight years, and that's what he can do. Garrett Wilson, and I love Gary Wilson. I loved him coming out of college. I love the way in which he plays.

I think he probably fits best, Colin, as more of that movement. Z receiver. The guy you line up on the strong side of the formation, you use him in motion, you get him free access into his routes. Yeah. So I think it's a play all the way around. I'm excited for it. The other thing about the whole Aaron Rogers situation is, you know, as I go into a weekend, we have the NFL games this weekend. Starting tonight, I do like Denver and Sean Payton over Spencer Rattler. Spencer Rattler is a talented kid. He's got a big arm. He can move around. I think it's a go either way game, but I think Sean Payton coming home. Bo Nix has cut down on any turnovers. We don't know a lot about Spencer Rattler, doesn't have Crystal

Lave, so New Orleans is kind of beat up, but standalone games, they're very, very good. But if you start looking at the schedule, we'll put it up here, is that there's always an upset every weekend. Last week was rare, where the best quarterback went 14 and 0 last week. So I always ask Jay Mack, I do this on Thursday and Friday, pick the upset on the schedule this week. I also like Jacksonville. That's one of my stronger plays this week in London because they're there all the time. I think find the upset on this board that you like. You talked about Seattle at Atlanta.

Is that an upset? Yeah, it would be Atlanta's favorite. Seattle's three, you're starting to see those gobbled up, is that Seattle Seahawks get healthy. I definitely like them in that one. They will be in headlines. I can't make a case for the Raiders against your Rams. I mean, that number's big, Colin. If Cooper Cup doesn't play, how would the Rams favor by 7 over any?

one. I'm not seeing that. Let me, I'll throw this out to you. Baker Mayfield at home against the Raiders. Like it. This was four and a half, I believe, last week on the look ahead and now it's down to like three, three and a half. Tampa Bay is good.

Offensively, they're good. We'll see defensively they're getting healthy. And outdoors, maybe slow down Lamar and Derek Henry just a tad. Well, they have drafted well, Jason Light was a scout for years. And he was considered one of the league's

best scouts. He was a great scout. And then he became the GM. Tampa doesn't have bad drafts with him. And the back end of that Baltimore, the secondary is not great. No, I mean, the reason the Baker-Mayfield game is interesting this weekend, even if Baltimore wins. And Baltimore's played a series of very emotional games. Even if they win, Baker's going to, I mean, he and Chris Godwin this year. And they're a running game. The way to beat Lamar is to get him uneven, get him off the field with the run game. So if Tampa can run and keep Lamar, on the bench watching, kind of get him out of his flow. That's the way to beat Baltimore.

So remember when they had Rashad White and then, then they had Bucky Irving and now Chuck Tucker, they got three deep at running back. It's like there's a world here. I'm looking at the schedule. It looks like the Ravens have a big divisional matchup next week against the hated Browns. Wonder if they're thinking about that as opposed to Tampa Bay non-conference. Tampa's a real team.

But there is the Lamar, what is he, 22 and one now against the NSC? There's that concern. That's why I never better. against Lamar against the NFC. I just don't. It's like, don't bet against Andy Reed and do not do that. And do not bet against Lamar Jackson against the NFC. I like Tampa, the number,

but there's a reason it started where it started, which is closer to five, five and a half. I may be going against both those trends. Well, we're not trend betters, but we're aware of some of the big ones. I am a trend better. I like all the new trends. You know, if bell bottom jeans are in, brother, I'm going to buy them. What about Apple bottom jeans?
