This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.
Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano.
It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast, Point Game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was crying.
You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquis'clock, he's like, you know, I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the,
iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, and on my new podcast, How Hard Can It Be?
I call on my Gen X squad from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate Midlife's most fantastic BS.
Unfiltered conversations from night sweats to futas to scheduling sex.
Wait, what sex?
Is it just me or does every woman my age want to look at Pinterest instead of having sex sometimes?
They say we can't polish a turn, but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with laughs, tears or tears of laughter.
Listen to How Hard Can It Be with Diana Maria Riva
on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHart Podcasts presents soccer moms.
So I'm Leanne.
Yeah.
This is my best friend, Janet.
Hey.
And we have been joined at the hips since high school.
Absolutely.
A redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip.
Just a little bit bigger hips.
This is a podcast.
We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey.
with all the snacks and drinks.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
They hit a bogo.
Well, then you got them.
Listen to soccer moms on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.

You know, I wanted to bring up one thing.
You talked about those pharmacy toys.
You know, we all got his kids.
Color forms, man.
The Easter Bunny brings a little, you know, as you said, the pharmacy type of toys.
Yeah, the Willie Willie.
Do you remember the Woolly Willie?
Who doesn't?
That's the guy you can make a mustache on them, right?
Yeah.
Sounds x-rated.
The magnet stuff?
Yeah, it's not.
So I wanted to get my kids some baseball cards.
And I told them, I said, hey, listen, Easter Bunny is going to bring you other stuff.
But Dad wants to bring you to the baseball card shop.
Nice.
And let me tell you something.
Not as easy to find baseball cards as when we were kids.
I know we went to the baseball card shop,
but you almost got to seek a place out
because Walmart no longer carries baseball cards.
Target, much like Pokemon cards,
if you got a little kid, always sold out.
So there's always going to be the local baseball card shop,
and you hope they're open, you hope they got what you want.
But I was stunned at how much cards are nowadays.
It is
There's a lot of special cards out there.
No, I'm talking regular tops.
Oh, it's a big business.
By the way, is it bad to,
what's the politically correct term
to take a card back that you gave to somebody?
I don't know the politically,
I don't know the politically correct term for that.
I'm writing the dump button, so be careful.
No, no, no.
But this weekend, this Easter weekend,
my sister said, remember those stacks of cards you gave to Jamesie?
I was like, yeah.
She's like, you know there was an autographed Shohei Otani in there?
like, what? I was like, I'm sorry,
can I have it back, please?
You giver?
Of things that you want back.
Can I get that back?
As close as I could re-gifting is the closest
that I can come.
I don't know if that's exactly what it is.
But Danny, Jay, Dan Byer, Kavino,
you guys, all those kids, we talk about baseball cards as kids, right?
I'm not trying to sound like,
you're not trying to sound like the old timey time guy.
But I feel like there was a point where stadium club
and upper deck. There were a couple dollars a pack
and I remember my grandfather, you get him at the
7-11 or the quick check or the local
bodega always had him on standby. A couple bucks, right? Your dad would be
buying some cigarettes of coffee and some scratch-offs and he'd
throwing a pack of cards for you.
Did you get a hobby pack or a blaster pack?
So, I'm telling you, I guess. It's ridiculous.
I go there and these
are not the, you know, Dan Patrick Panini
collectible ones. He does reads for it. I'm talking, like, I was
just like, let me just get some. I was really trying to
find, like, the cheapest cards, because my kids are not going to, like, take...
For the basket, right?
They're not going to take care of them.
And I said, I'll throw these in here with the Easter Bunny stuff because I want you guys
to have some baseball cards.
And these are the most basic tops, 2025, no, you know, no shiny, no inserts, none of
that stuff.
Basic cards.
Aaron Judge is on the cover.
A super pack, which is still 40 cards.
So don't get me right.
It's like a thick-ass pack.
You know you can get them, surprisingly?
Car Wash sells them.
Heart one?
Yeah, they have them there once in a while.
Maybe I should buy some since they're so hard to find.
40 cards.
So it's a big ass pack of cards.
Would you believe it was 30 bucks?
That's insane.
30 bucks.
No, I don't believe that.
30 bucks.
And then I looked at, well, maybe I look online.
That's a lap dance and a half worth of cards.
They have.
Wait, hold on.
How much is the lap dance nowadays?
25 last time?
No way.
Really?
I didn't know that.
It goes to show you what a good guy I am.
But the point is,
the kids still get fascinated by it,
but it's not a cheap thing.
30 bucks are a big value pack of tops cards.
Tough times for the Easter bunny.
And it was cool.
What happened to silly putty?
Guess my son, the other day I was telling you,
let's see if you pay attention to my stories,
who do my son say his two favorite players are?
He said,
Lindor?
Yeah.
Otani.
And Otani.
What do you believe in his mega pack?
He pulled the Lindor and Otani.
way. And I almost want to be like, buddy, that's like, you got lucky, pal.
I think it doesn't always happen. I was like, so he got it. You should get a bunch of Johnny Grubbs and
Don Assies. Oh, man, another Jeff Musselman. You know what they do in some, some companies,
and I'm not sure exactly which ones, is now they'll put old players in, like guys who had already
played. So when you and I were growing up, we'd be like, oh, look, I got Dwight Stevenson
center, you know, from the Miami Dolphins. There's no. There's no.
lineman in any of these anymore.
Like, it's been replaced by like
Thurman Thomas. You know, oh,
I got a Troy Aikman card
in this pack of 2025
whatever. It's completely different
game. They're switching it up, man, but
there's definitely a huge, a growing buzz
again around all these cards for sure.
And just for all the parents whose kids are
into, I roll my eyes
at it, but hey, my son loves it. Pokemon,
Pokemon cards are like
$5 to $10 minimum
per little pack. Like, it's a
market, man. You know what? Let me promote our bonus pod
then, Rich, overpromised, because we talked about
the greatest athletes of all time, but we also
talked about the greatest polls and baseball cards,
basketball cards, especially.
We talked about it on overpromised, our bonus
podcast, Fox Sports Radio's
YouTube page, episode 88, and this
week, I think, KFC from Barstool
stopping by the show. So that's on
Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page, because
we always run out of time on this show.
So overpromise, check it out. Did you happen
to see that clip, Dan Byer,
Big Cat from Barstle?
It's insane.
That is such a cool clip.
It really is.
Of doing what?
So Big Cat, who, you know, part of my take on Barstool, he's doing a, he bought a pack of, he's doing a basketball fleer from like 80.
What is it?
The Jordan rookie one.
Sure.
Yes.
And I think he spent like, you know, those packs go off like 800 packs.
Yes.
When do you believe it, second card, they're slowly opening, he pulls a Jordan.
Wow.
A Jordan rookie, yeah.
a rookie, which could be hundreds of thousands of dollars based on the rating.
Yes.
So a big payoff, but it was pretty cool.
Like, just watching the unopening of that pack gave me anxiety.
Speaking of cards, back in the day, which was a Tuesday, I do remember collecting
wrestling cards.
Yeah.
They were grimy.
They were old school wrestling cards.
And it's crazy to see how much it's grown this weekend.
We saw WrestleMania.
And the big story is John Cena's back.
John Cena's the man.
Not only is John Cena back, not just him.
Seems like some of his hair is back.
Take a listen to Sina.
He was on the Pat McAfee show this morning, post-Ressalmania.
That's the thing.
When you get it, like so you get the deal, right?
And your hair falls out because the new ones have to grow.
So the old one falls out.
So like in January, February was like I had it in November.
That's when I came like half a skin hit up here.
You guys, how the way, thank you for being so aware of my.
my needs and emotions because you guys
ripped me to shreds
for a genetic problem that I
can't control. Hey, I'll tell you what.
Hey, dude, you don't look good enough out there.
Like, that's what I'm saying. This isn't cool.
You guys aren't cool to me.
There's John Cena. Talk about how he was
bullied
into fixing his hair.
Well, he was going bald.
It wasn't a good look.
It wasn't working for him, right? And Scott
Van Pello always says, yeah, just take it home.
Take it home at that point.
I don't know if it was take it home worthy, but it was noticeable, right?
He had a noticeable bald spot.
Couldn't help but notice it.
It wasn't receding.
He actually had like the circle on top of it.
I do think we as men have to be more accepting of these things and just sort of lean into it.
Like we worked with a guy that wore a hat for like two months straight.
And everyone was talking about him behind his back because everybody knew.
Like, and once he took the hat off, he had a full on pompator.
Right?
So I think we need to just be more understanding of that and make it more acceptable because it's becoming.
more and more common. People are doing all these
trips to Turkey, these all-inclusive
trips coming back with full heads of hair.
You know, women are doing things all the time. Hey, we got
to be okay with dudes
fixing their hair issues. I was going to say women
do these type of things all the time and
they talk about it with each other and publicly. Some girl will be
on TikTok being like, I'm going for my
Botoxin filler and my
ass tuck and whatever she's doing.
Something with his hair. We crucify it.
Yeah, a guy has to be all
Guys
guy has to hide it under a hat for
you know,
a rest of his life.
A guy fixing his hairline
has the secrecy of a girl
getting a boob job in the 80s.
We have to be like,
you go, queen.
We have to do that.
You go, Sina.
Way to go, buddy.
Because, and you know why I want to do that?
Because it might be me one day.
Now, I don't want to hear flack from anybody.
I'm fascinated by
when women do things to improve their looks,
it's encouraged and they cheer each other on.
Yes.
Bam.
B boom.
I applaud.
John Sina, because I saw
John Sina come back and he had his floppy,
almost like his 1990s
mushroom haircut. I'm like, yo, he's got a big
ball spot. It looks terrible.
And so subconsciously,
but I didn't say it out loud, but I
noticed it. And
I thought to myself, here's John Sina,
movie star, wrestler,
champion. You said it, man. It's genetics. And that's why
LeBron can't do anything about it. It's just
you know, in his DNA at this point. And I'm sure
he's tried and we've seen it
appear and reappear and disappear and all that.
But he was sort of bullied into it.
So think about this Fox Sports Radio Nation, because I have an answer.
We all have an answer.
We'll go around the room.
Let's chop it up.
The times you were bullied into doing something, but it was for your own benefit for your
greater good.
I was bullied and I held out so long.
I was ruining the group text messages for so long because I had an Android.
No, you did.
I had an Android.
So, ooh.
Oh, so you're that guy.
I hate people like you.
Here's what happened.
Then, you know, I was going on dates.
And then I was realizing this is when I was single.
I just got out of a divorce.
And the women I was dating, they're like, he has an android.
So I was getting looked down upon.
And then I met a girl that I'm currently with till this day.
She's like, if you're going to date me, you got to get rid of that Android.
I'm like, wow, this is serious, huh?
This is a real thing.
And between her and all my buddies and rich and I'm ruined the group messages and all that stuff,
because my texts were green.
It was an issue, I guess.
I got bullied into finally getting an iPhone,
and I have to say, you know, I like it.
I guess I'm more accepted.
It works.
It didn't change my life,
but at least I got you off my back.
So I'm a fan,
but I wasn't really against the Android,
but Rich,
I was totally bullied into that
by you guys and my current girlfriend.
What were you bullied into doing
that benefited you?
Yeah,
I guess you could,
say it benefited me in the sense that people don't look down on me anymore because of the Android.
It could be a show.
It could be a movie.
It could be something you do.
I feel like I feel like I was sort of shamed into trying sushi for the first time.
How about we shamed you into getting a fade?
This guy had a haircut like he was Mel Gibson up until.
Did you have a Mel Gibson haircut?
Did we not bully him into getting a fade?
Yeah, yeah, like a George Washington like side puff.
This guy had...
Like an old wig.
Yeah, he had like mad dog, like, a Cocker Spaniel ear flaps.
Yeah.
You know, like where the hair went over his ears.
He had side poofs.
And we were like, dude, just can you please get like a normal buzz cut from a barber?
He would sit under those...
You know those moon things that they...
The old lady sit under the salon.
This is all this...
He had like a hairnet.
Yeah.
Rich would do that at the salon all the time.
And now, ironically, Rich...
He used to Aquanette.
Like, a longer hairdo is coming...
is back now.
So you might have to grow your hair back.
but for the longest time,
we're like, dude,
will you just get a fade?
You had an old guy hairdo.
It was the right move,
but you act like,
I just had longer hair on the sides.
I used to have a woman cut my hair
when it was not in style.
With scissors.
Now a longer hairstyle
is probably in style.
You should probably go back.
But for the longest time,
he had never gone to a barber.
Never.
Up until maybe five,
six years ago,
had never gone to a barber.
And we bullied him into it.
You got to accept it sometimes.
Sometimes your friends or family might bully you into something.
And at first you might be like, oh, I don't know.
And then you're like, you know what?
Thanks for doing that because I'm better off for it.
I mean, I hear this a lot when it comes to nose jobs and things like that.
Like certain people, like they don't want to, but then they're haggled and harassed so much.
And it turns out to be the greatest thing they ever did.
Now I'm not condoning or promoting that.
I'm saying certain things might work to your advantage and you put it off for so long.
How about Spot with the gym?
If you ask Spot, we bullied him in the early 2000s all the time.
And he has all this crazy resentment about how we bullied him.
But we would say he was paying for a gym membership and never went.
Now this guy thinks he's an Adonis flexing all the time because we bullied him to go into the gym.
If anything, we should get a little credit.
That's what I'm saying.
I know.
Now he's Mr. Ripplepex.
I give you zero credit.
I know.
But dude, how often do we tell him?
You would just mock me.
We would go, dude, come to the gym with us.
Come to the gym with us.
You never went to that gym?
We didn't tell him to go to the gym all the time and he never went to the gym.
He never came with me.
I didn't know what to do.
Now he's a gym rat.
Now I know what to do.
Now he's a gym rat.
But a la John Sina, just something to keep in mind, you might assume all bullying is bad.
John Sina talked about it on McAfee today.
Not all bullying's bag.
Sometimes it's a solid encouragement.
Yeah.
Enough people say something to you, you know, might better, you know.
It's all in the presentation.
It really is.
It really is.
Because if you love it's a good.
like John Sina, we could all say he's, dude, I love John Sina. I think it's a solid move for him.
He has a lot of tread on the tires still, as they say. So for him to rock that bald spot
in a spotlight like that where he's supposed to be the cool guy in the ring, I don't think
it matched to his vibe. Don't you think? I think it was a good move for him. I think
John Sina, unless he shaved his head completely. I think it was the right move for sure. So
Sina, the big star, the big star. That was John Sina. I thought that was Ernest.
He does.
He does.
He was on steroids.
Ernest P. Worrell was on steroids.
Ernest saves WrestleMania. No, that wasn't in.
Your phone calls. You were bullied into something,
but it was the solid move.
Joe and Virginia, we'll start with you,
a la John Cena. Have you ever been bullied into something?
And you're like, you know what? I'm sort of glad.
I'm sort of glad I was. What's up, man?
Hey, guys.
Not necessarily bullied into too much,
but my old man talked me into a pedicure one.
time when I was totally against it.
And I'll tell you what, when you're done as a guy getting your first pedicure, you're going
to be so happy with the softest feet, the best feeling calves you've had, you won't knock
them anymore.
Oh, is that why they call you soft foot Joe?
Yeah.
Thank you, buddy.
Joe.
SFJ, everybody.
That's a great example because I have gotten pedicures with my wife and ex-girlfriends.
And there are guys like, a pedicure.
I would never.
And I'm like, oh, if you only know.
Now Rich's wife gets pedicures with Rich.
It's true.
Yeah, now he makes the appointments.
But again, it works to your advantage.
I'm sure it's a life changer.
You know, these guys bully me every time we're out to dinner.
They bully me into trying something new.
Some sort of seafood thing that I'm sure I've had before, but I don't want it,
but they just won't stop until I try it.
Every once in a while, you'll come across something.
You're like, you know what?
I think I like it.
See?
So sometimes it could work to your advantage.
Something to keep in mind.
All right.
Coming up, we are going to play a little NFL draft trivia.
Yeah, big week, man.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Thursday.
Three sleeps.
Three sleeps.
As my kids would say, three sleeps until the NFL draft.
Yeah, but all the superstars aren't going this year.
Is it cool to not go?
Well, the other question is, are we going to find an Aaron Rogers update before then?
In the next 72 hours, does Aaron Rogers make any life decision?
I mean, we were so certain.
like a week ago, so certain.
Maybe we could bully him into making the decision.
We'll take your feedback, and if you want to play this game, let's do it.
877-99 on Fox.
We got more Kavino and Rich next.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it.
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers
was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing,
a bit for the podcast
where people could call in and say,
Hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down
on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title
for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy,
not quite on Humor Me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast,
I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris.
Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay.
Jenchian went.
I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now,
and I actually can win on any surface, because if she's serving, well, good luck.

I hope so.

and we send them swiggies. That's our stainless
steel, Kavino and Rich Water Botton.
In fact, if you want one right now, be dialing 87799 on Fox.
It's a good looking bottle, man.
We're going to play.
It's heavy duty.
It's Sapphire Midnight Black.
It says Kavino and Rich Fox Sports Radio, it says on it.
It's a real nice water bottle for your kid to lose.
And, you know, it's multiple choice.
It's NFL draft trivia, but multiple choice.
Like Rich, what kind of jeans, what kind of jeans shorts was Brett Farve wearing when he was drafted?
Were they A, Lees, B, Levi's, C, Wrangler.
or D. Jordash.
Oh, I'm going to go C. Rangler?
C. Rangler?
Wow.
He was wearing Rangler.
Actually, I made that up.
Speaking of which.
But I assume.
I assume.
What jean shorts was John Cena wearing last night?
Oh, I don't know.
Jinko.
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
Man.
You want in on this?
So it's all multiple choice.
It's all fun, but it's going to get you hyped for the NFL draft trivia.
I mean, NFL draft this weekend, this week.
And we'll give way a prize in return.
How's that?
I think...
87799 on Fox.
I think the NFL draft
going to be a lot of fun.
And we talked about it within the last week.
After WrestleMania last night,
NFL drafted this week.
And every weekend, I know you're watching some type of UFC.
I was trying to think, is there a fourth?
And I can't think of a fourth.
I think I'm setting in stone the top three things
that have come the furthest in our...
lifetime.
NFL draft, UFC,
and WrestleMania.
As far as evolution?
As far as evolution, man,
it's unbelievable.
And if you want to get hyped up,
you'll see,
NFL draft.
NFL draft's definitely one of them.
When you think of how it was really nothing,
from nothing to something,
foo fighter style.
If you want to,
if you have a little homework assignment
and you want to watch something fun
as we get ready for the NFL draft,
from Elway to Marino
is a really great third.
for 30. And it's a reminder that it was 40-ish years ago.
That was a bunch of dudes smoking cigars with now all three things you described.
They're spectacles.
With tan phones and a wooden paneled room making their picks.
All right.
Well, you could add to the list at Covino and Rich.
But now it's time to play NFL draft trivia.
All right.
Here we go.
NFL draft trivia.
We are kicking off draft week by testing your knowledge.
We're going to meet the contestants right now.
Yeah, turn that music up for me.
Ryan. The man who was once
mistaken for Tommy DeVito at the Newark
Airport. Steve Covino.
That's me. What's up? Stevie Coutlitz.
Steve Coutlets, man. Stevie Portschap.
And the man who once drank
six glasses of wine out of 49ers home game.
Rich Davis. It's likely. I didn't spill
soup on his lap. I did. I did spill
soup on my lap. And I did see
Tommy Cullets at the airport.
That's the story. That's the story.
And there's no picture proof.
No. And right over there, the man who
first suggested that Travis Hunter
play on both sides of the ball,
Spotty Boy. That's true. You told him
that years ago. Yeah.
In high school. And to my right
right beyond the glass there, the man who was once
grounded as a kid for shaving the sides of his head
to style a Brian Bosworth Spike,
Dan Byer. I did want the
Boz haircut. No one knew what I was talking about,
but I did want that. Hold on Camino. In the 90s,
did any of your friends want to be like
Anthony Mason or any of those Knicks with
the hair? Are you serious? Of course.
Oh, yeah. They carved in work.
and everything. That was dope.
I had one friend that, like, followed that lead, and his parents were okay with it.
I'm like, man.
Oh, Anthony Mason, R-I-P.
All right now, let's go to the studio lines right now to see who's playing for a stainless steel
swiggy.
Damon in Montana.
What up, Dame?
What up?
What do you do for a living there in Montana?
I work for a drywall supply company.
Cool.
Dry walls.
Help building America.
Thank you, man.
Here are the rules for NFL draft trivia.
The first contestant with two correct answers is the champ.
If there's a tie, we have a tie breaker question.
Your name is your buzzer.
But like always, you do have to wait until all three possible answers are read.
If there's two wrong answers in a row, we move on to the next question.
Are you ready?
I'm ready.
Let's get it on.
Here we go.
Round one.
What year was the very first NFL draft held?
A, 1924, B, 1936, or C, 1942?
Damon.
Damon.
I'm going to say B.
B 1936 is correct
Hey good cool man
Damon on the board
right away I'm sorry a DB I was just going to say
I don't think during wartime
I was just the same thing
The height of World War II
Let's have a draft
Wrong kind of draft
Yeah right
Well the drafts were going on that year
All right yeah February 8th 1936
Dame you are halfway to a Swiggy
I was drafted by the bears
No I'm going to Germany
We moved
to round two.
Damon on the board so far.
Round two.
What was Tom Brady once quoted saying about the NFL draft?
A.
I spent the draft actually helping my dad redo his backyard,
didn't even check my phone much.
B, people didn't think I'd play one year in the NFL.
Or C, it wasn't a chip on my shoulder.
It was a bus.
Rich.
Rich.
I feel like A, I feel like he was hanging out with his dad during the draft, right?
No.
Spot.
Spotty for the steel.
B.
Yes.
People did not think I'd play one year in the NFL.
We all know that Combine photo.
Sexy Tom Brady.
I think he got bullied into looking better.
So so far, Damon and Spot on the board.
I don't know what you guys, but I thought C was going to be like,
I can't wait to get to the NFL and screw over the Raiders in a playoff season.
That's all I thought.
He mixed it up.
Watch your mouth, Dan.
Watch your mouth.
Round three.
Here we go.
Which NFL team?
traded up to draft Ricky Williams in 1999.
A, the Miami Dolphins,
B, the Baltimore Ravens, or C, the New Orleans Saints.
Steve.
Covino got it.
Steve. Is it a trick question? Is it A?
Oh, maybe it tricked you. Not the dolphins.
Rich.
Go ahead, Dan, you go. Saints.
Saints. Yes, remember, they basically gave away their entire draft.
Yeah, move up there.
All right, so, Damon.
Spot, but.
Maybe I misunderstood the question.
Well, I could see Covino.
I think of him as a dolphin.
I'm going to give my point to Givino then.
Oh, stop.
I mean, I'm missing.
Well, I know.
When I picture I'm running the ball, I picture him in a Dolphins jersey.
All right, round four, which team is responsible for the first NFL draft?
A, the Chicago Bears.
B, the Philadelphia Eagles, or C, the Cleveland Browns.
Damon.
Damon for the win.
B.
The Philadelphia Eagles.
You are right.
Yeah.
earned it.
It was an idea from Bert Bell who owned the Eagles at the time.
Nice.
He wanted to even the playing field with the teams buying players who had more money.
All right.
Hey, way to go, Damon.
They're going to have her at home.
Yeah.
I like that drywall.
Damon, we are going to mail a beautiful Cinar Swiggy to you there in Montana.
You know what else he needs when he's doing that drywall and he's working hard?
He needs some cooosies.
Yeah, keep his hands nice.
I'll throw some of those in the package.
Yeah, throw some coosies in there.
Have a good night, Damon.
Thank you, Damon.
And again, that's to get you hyped up for the NFL draft this week.
NFL draft trivia brought to you by Danny G.
And tomorrow on the Dan Patrick show, guess who's going to be joining us?
Who's that?
Think of Tuesday's NBA playoffs.
Shaq flying in on his private point.
Nice.
Sheck Diesel trivia, can't wait.
With his sweet yellow glasses that he's rocking.
Love those.
Let's go to Dan Byer for an update.
DB.
What's going on, man?
What up, DB?
And while you guys are on in the mornings, it'll be Monci, Belanos, and myself,
tomorrow afternoon in your stead here on Fox Sports Radio.
I like it. Yes, we are looking forward to it as well.
Going to have a good time. We're going to have a much better time than Nico Harrison has had over the last few months.
After trading in Luke at Donchich, it's been anything but good, the Mavericks GM today, speaking with reporters.
And this exchange happened during that end of season press conference.
Why shouldn't you be fired?
One, I think I've done a really good job here.
And I don't think I can be judged by the injuries this year.
You have to judge from totality from beginning to end.
And so I think I have a really good working relationship with Patrick.
I think you add in Rick.
The leadership that we have is really elite.
And you'll see next year when our team comes back,
we're going to be competing for a championship.
Next year for Nico Harrison of the Mavericks is his message.
Next year is when Cooper Flag is going to be in the NBA.
That's because the Duke freshman and consensus player of the year in college basketball
entered the 2025 NBA draft.

Pistons and Nick 730 Eastern, followed by the Clippers and Nuggets 10 o'clock Eastern.

And the Jets picked up the fifth year options on their three first round picks from 2022.
That's Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, and Jermaine Johnson.
They're now with a contract through 2026.
Red Sox topped the White Sox for two in the annual Patriots Day game at Fenway Park.
Braves placed pitcher Spencer Strider on the 15-day IL because of a strained hamstring.
And Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landiscaug is active for tonight's game two against the Dallas Stars.
Guys, he's missed almost three years of action.
Hasn't played since the 2022 Stanley Cup final, but he'll play tonight as the avalanche are up 1-0 on the stars.
in their Western Conference
First Round Series.
Guys, back to you.
Thank you, D.B.
Thank you, Dan.
And as you talk about Nico Harrison,
let me ask you guys,
what does Nico Harrison have in common
with Katie Perry?
They didn't foresee the backlash?
Yeah.
I thought you were going to say he's not a real astronaut.
I was going to say they both have great boobs,
but I wasn't positive.
Not that.
Good guess.
Yeah.
I was glad I was right, though.
Yeah, because I, you know what,
Back to the astronaut story.
I know they're not astronauts.
Yeah.
But it's amazing to me that it didn't dawn on them that they might get this amount of backlash.
It never even dawned on them.
I think, you know what?
You saw William Shatner do a similar thing a couple of years before.
But, you know, he was Captain Kirk.
He's space-related.
He didn't come back acting like he accomplished something either.
I think that was the vibe or misconception.
However you want to put it.
Didn't Shadner do the whole, like, it was the most beautiful thing.
I've seen.
He did.
Yeah, he did.
He didn't get the backlash that they got.
But again, it was how it was presented.
When Katie Perry said, yes, I'll be the pop culture person that goes to, you know, into space.
She never thought the world would be like, no.
Or else they would have second guessed it.
Yeah.
Nico Harrison, he got on the phone with Jeannie Bus and management with the intention of like,
the fans are going to like this.
It's unbelievable.
You got to have the foresight, the John Forsyte, the 20-20.
You got to have the vision to know that there's a other side, a flip side to your potential moves.
What are the repercussions?
I'll give you a way dumb-down version of this.
There are times in life, sports, entertainment, your marriage, your friendships, your work,
where you just, you don't see it coming.
Like you've even thought it out in your head like, all right, I'm going to make this move.
You're like, oh, I didn't anticipate this.
And I think Nico Harrison, as we've talked about him a bunch today, he would have never thought, well, all right, I'm going to test the waters.
I think I'm going to trade Luca.
He never thought, wow, the city and everyone's going to hate my whole distance.
Because technically he does, he does make a point had everybody stayed healthy and had you gotten a healthy AD.
Those are big risks.
Those are big what ifs, right?
Dan Byer said earlier. He's banking on
a healthy, great players, but he's banking
on everyone from
Kyrie to AD to these guys
to be healthy all the time? Yeah, aging
superstars too, who were
injury prone. So it
is a big risk. But he does make
a point. It wouldn't have been as bad had they
stayed healthy, not the case.
So there's the
commonality between Nico
Harrison and Gayle King, Katie Perry.
They didn't see the
repercussions here, the potential backlash
that they'd get.
And we talked about those being defining moments,
but I think another fun angle is when you really didn't see it coming,
like you,
you may have done,
I,
like,
the dumb example is I got all these old home videos of my mom
when she was a little girl with her parents.
I found them on the wood of the 8mm.
I got them digitized and I put it to like a slide show with music and everything.
I gave it to my mom thinking she was going to be like,
you're the greatest son ever.
I thought I was going to get like,
pats on the back like man there's richie again done on you that it could be an emotional moment my
mother was crying he's like this the worst life is fleeting why would you do this to me why would
you do this i'm like ah but i uh so just to know that people in life not just sports make decisions
thinking oh i'm going to get a pat on the back meanwhile the world ends up hating them we got more

We just contributed to a...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with the name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys.
remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

I was just looking at tonight's NBA games and our good friends of draft kings. A couple props. I think
I like. In fact, forget I think. I do like. Pistons at Knicks. Knicks were up one game.
How about that fourth quarter from them? Right.
Kvino, we're not in New York. So I feel like when I talk to my friends back east, there is a sense that like the Knicks do have a buzz again.
No doubt. It's clear, but I just wonder tonight, Brunson scored 34 in game one. The over under is 30 and a half.
I think I'm going under.
I don't think, I mean, maybe, maybe Pistons play tougher tonight.
I don't know.
I'm just, I just have a hunt.
You're saying to watch Cunningham and.
So.
And who else?
Towns for New York.
I think under 30.
And then I just think it's Joker domination time.
I like Yokic 28 or over.
So I like over on Yokic, under on Brunson.
Who knows?
We'll see.
Draft Kings.
Have fun.
And that side storyline is that Yokic is,
taking more of a leadership role in the clubhouse in the locker room this playoff season,
which is kind of cool.
That was the best game of the weekend.
Went to overtime and blow for blow.
I thought that was the most exciting game.
You know, I had a thought over the weekend, Danny, and it has nothing to do with the NBA
as we get ready to get out of here.
It's a question that has to do with sports, work, children, and pets.
I'm tying it all together.
I saw that your boy.
Church.
No, not church.
No, I said.
Children's sports, pets, and work.
That was a lot.
Don't worry.
I saw your boy, Shohei Otani.
Shohei Otani.
Otani became a dad.
And he wrote a really beautiful message on social media.
And he missed the first two games of a series.
And now he's back in action.
And, you know, we all know he's famously has his little doggy that everyone loves.
In fact, his dog has bobbleheads.
Decoy.
Decoy.
doggy. I also saw something
today that the biggest
star in New York baseball,
not Juan Soto.
Trent Grisham, I think, is
on paternity leave right now.
So, he had a baby too.
I get it. All good. No problem with the paternity
leave. Otani's back. I'm just asking
you because, Kavino, you're
a dad. I am. Your daughter's
a teenager. You and your girlfriend
have no kids together, but you have a doggy.
Yeah, it's his birthday today.
He's three years old. Yeah. So see, it all ties
together. Yeah. Theo. I saw Kavino's little doggy over the weekend on Instagram and your
girlfriend went out and bought them of those cute little cakes made for dogs. Yeah. And I said to Kavino,
if you become a dad again and have more kids, that'll fade away. I'm under the belief that
people that have all this love for pets, it, when you have kids... You bet you're not a pet person.
When that, when you have kids, the dog love fades. You still love your, you still love your pet, but I'm
I understand what you're saying because I do have a child.
But I think that you and I both aren't true like animal people.
And if you're a true animal person, you're still going to have a kid and still love your animal.
But your girlfriend's the type that buys clothes for your dog.
That's not true.
It has the Yankee jersey.
She has one Yankee jersey.
The other day you bought your dog's shoes.
Yeah, but he hasn't worn him.
Some other pants.
Yeah.
He bought his dog's shoes.
And he's saying he's denying this.
I mean, he's got cooler shoes than you, if you want to be honest about it.
Hey, our wolfies?
But yeah, well, you gotta keep things in mind.
You're painting a weird and inaccurate picture here.
We live in Los Angeles, so it's either I take,
how am I going to take this dog out for a walk?
If you don't put something on his feet, it's going to burn his feet.
He's a little foofy dogs.
We're talking a little foofy dogs.
Dogs have lived generations.
You know how not under the LA son, I don't know,
maybe they have burnt feet.
I'm not a dog person.
I don't have to tell you.
I'm just saying, they tell you not to take your dog out for a walk.
I'm just asking you.
Then forget you.
Does Shohia Tadi care less about his dog today
because now he has a father of a human?
And my answer is yes.
I think it's how you come into the situation.
You came into a situation
not really caring about your dog in the first place.
So of course your kids are going to take precedent.
Your kids are always going to take precedent.
That's a given.
You can't compare the love of your kids to an animal.
I just feel.
But I think that some people who care about their dog
genuinely are still going to have that same genuine care for their dog.
they're just going to love their kids more.
Not every dog takes a back seat and is almost thrown out of the family like your dog.
I don't know.
Richard never hasn't walked his dog since he had kids.
That's the truth.
The dog doesn't go for walks.
Yeah, exactly.
French bulldogs aren't supposed to go for walks.
Yeah, when they're 300 pounds because you haven't walked them.
Exactly.
He's been in his crate ever since then he was born.
Your thoughts, you could chime in at Covino and Rich.
Show continues there.
Show hey, doesn't care about his dog anymore.
We'll see you guys.
Arriba there.
Maybe. See you in a promise land.
Hey guys, it's us.

Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app.
Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

Oh, they had a bogo.
Well, then you got it.
