Five years from now, he sent out a tweet that said, cheers to what's next, extending a big thank you to the Rams and all the fans for your support over the last 10 years, much love. So it does feel like the final chapter for Aaron Donald. He went on to say he doesn't know what's next for him, but who knows, maybe there'll be a broadcasting career, whatever, but with the 150 million plus that he raked, in his NFL career, he can take his time and enjoy his life and have a damn good time here

following an incredible career. Salute, man. Yeah. And the L.A. Rams with a big loss. So he was lost. He made sure to thank the city of St. Louis and also L.A. I'm sure the city of St. Louis is probably thinking, well, you know. We got a little beef.

We got a little beef with your team. You know, we appreciate the battlehawks, but we would have appreciated the Rams sticking around a little bit longer, but nonetheless, on to L.A., he gets his Super Bowl, and he's also got that iconic moment where he points to his ring finger and says, you know... Because he was the reason why they won a ring. Yeah.

And he did close out the Super Bowl with that play. He closed them. Closer. Yeah. Bangal fans are probably still pissed. But nonetheless, the retirement of Aaron Donald, that's the big breaking news in the NFL over the past hour

or so here, so we will have more on that throughout the course of the show as well. I thought we were to big breaking news, because we're We're doing the herd today. Well, yeah. You know, second time. You know, I mean, we're veterans at this point. And they get to Harris in our market.

Like, it's only 10 a.m. here in L.A., they get Harris. You know, I mean, there's a lot of people. I run into a lot of people that listen to us. But they're up super, super early. Oh, all right. So should we just rinse and repeat the typical rundown then? Let's talk about Lakers for a little bit.

I mean, we are not. We talked about Dallas. Yeah, let's talk about Dallas. We're going to get Dallas as part of the, I'm glad you brought that up because apparently the Dallas Cowboys have a bit of sleep. Oh, was that an assist? On the Segway? It's been a little lot.

That's Radio Gold right there. It's been a little light on the free agency front for the Dallas Cowboys. Not a lot going on for the Dallas Cowboys. So you've got a lot of people that are questioning sort of what the hell the plan is there in Dallas. Because Jerry. That means they have what they want. They got what they need. I mean, Jerry Jones talked about being...

Jerry Jones talked about being all-in. Those were his comments. Like, we are going to be all-in this year. And this is appropriate. Because it's not to tell you how the Cowboys differ from everywhere else. You couldn't put this sentence together for any other franchise than maybe the Dallas Cowboys. Because while it kid rocks, rock and rodeo promotional event that will be held at AT&T Stadium. Of course it will.

Steve. Of course. Hello. By the way, did you imagine the Bengals doing that? I think we need to go. You imagine the Bengals being? Well, you know, the, while at the Kid Rock Rock and Rodeo promotional event in Cincinnati. It's not happening.

But it is happening at AT&T Stadium at the Jerry Dome. His son, Stephen Jones, talked about the criticism of the lack of movement for the Cowboys thus far in the offseason. Let's take a listen. I mean, everybody certainly has that right. I mean, you know, I know where the frustration is, the fact that we haven't had success in the playoffs to their satisfaction. Until we do that, then, you know, the criticism is certainly something that's going to be there. And we know that's going to be there, but we're going to stick with what we believe will ultimately get us a championship here for our fans.

But, you know, we don't define all in as what you're spending free agency. is keeping, you know, the core, keeping some of the great players in this league, like that Prescott, like C.D. Lamb, like Michael Parsons, like Diggs. You know, that's what we define as all in. So, I mean...

Keeping the great players of the league? Now, I would like to apologize. You said those Jerry Jones? Because that's something like Stephen. No, Stephen. That was Stephen. That was Stephen. I would like to apologize

on behalf of Stephen Jones and the Jones family. Wow. Because, you know, when they talk about, you know, we don't view free agency as all in, I want to apologize to, Trent Sieg and Eric Kendricks, who signed one year's deals with Dallas this offseason. Apparently, you're not considered all in.

I want to apologize. A long snapper and a veteran linebacker, apparently that's not all in. Now, to the Cowboys' Defense. Kendrick can play, by the way. He can play some ball. How many teams win the offseason and win the game of the season? I was in a place where they always won the

off season and they ain't win a damn thing outside of it. What place was that? Washington. Nation's Capitol. Yeah. We won't play the name game. here on this show. Little Danny. What we call it? Little Danny.

Little Danny. And Washington. Yeah. And the Washington football team slash commandos. They win a damn thing in the regular season. And he's just saying, listen, we win the regular season. We just don't win in the playoffs. We got one more thing to solve.

So they're all in. We obviously, we've done this show together all week. I said this early, and I still mean it. Like they have the fewest or least amount of cap space of any team right now in the NFL. So they're about, I think, 2.8 million, something like that, under the cap. There's really not a lot to work with, and they do have some holes. The interior of their offensive line definitely needs to look at. You know, Tyron Smith is out there right now as a free agent,

but he's had a hard time staying healthy, so maybe they don't want to necessarily try to bring him back for the price he's looking for if he can't be out there. Deuce Vaughn's slated to be. They're starting running back at this point. I'm not sure that's going to be the case at the end of free agency, for the draft. But to LeVar's point, I think defensively speaking, like they're pretty solid.

They're solid with the Kendrick signing when they're healthy. You know, they don't have a ton of depth, but when they're healthy, they're pretty solid. The question really comes to me. Like, we just saw the news of Patrick Mahomes restructuring his contract to create more cap space for Kansas City. And then following that, you see them sign Hollywood Brown. Hell no, DAC ain't doing it.

No, jeez. He ain't good enough. Hold on, hold on. You better hold on to what you got, Your non-winning playoff game's ass. Bang, back! There's a misconception with restructuring a contract. You're not giving away money.

No, you're not giving it back. In fact, you're getting money in hand. Like, if anything, they're extending him out into the future. Because he's heading into the last year of his deal. He's got no trade clause, no franchise tag clause. So they've got to make a decision on something, whether to extend him or, I guess, decide if they want to go all in this year and then let him potentially become a free agent and walk or at least use the market against them in the future

depending on how this year goes. That's what's been most surprising. It's not the fact they haven't been an active player. It's the fact that they haven't restructured DAC to open up more cap space to do more at this point. And I guess I'm asking you,

what does that say about their feelings on DAC at this point then? You know, I would say what does it feel about DAC's feelings on them as well? You know, I haven't thought about and I just thought about not too long ago when, well, actually today when I looked at our show notes, does Dak feel like Dallas is letting him down? Is there a chance that Dak feels as though for all the things I bring to the table?

I'm much maligned by many being here. I am criticized for certain things that I don't know that necessarily fall solely at my feet. And for that, I'm going to play out my comfort. contract and I'm going to look elsewhere to go somewhere where I could possibly be appreciated and get the money that I'm deserving of like I did here and have a better opportunity of going further and forwarding my career. Okay. If that's his thought, then he's making a mistake.

Let me counter this. Okay. This is also the team that took a chance on him. True. In the fourth round. And they decided to go with him over the all-time franchise leading passer. and Tony Romo. Jim?

Jim? Jim? Why are you doing this? Not just that. Think about when he signed his big contract. It was coming off an injury. Yeah. I mean, this organization,

say what you want about the attention and the criticism that he receives. I think whenever you wear the star on your helmet, you're going to get it. You're going to get it. You're going to get it. Honestly, you wear the gold helmet. You're going to get it.

So there's certain teams, certain sports. it just comes with the territory. Yeah, you see your flex on him? Yeah, go ahead, gee. I'm talking about Boston College, right? Hell, no. The golden donors.

Oh, sorry about that. You got that, cag-g-g-g-oh. I'm sorry, I'm talking about an organization that's kind of had his back every step of the way. So I don't know if he would have harsh feelings towards them.

I mean, think about some of the moves, too, they've made the draft. Like, they've continually drafted and beefed up their offensive line. You know, guys like Tyron Smith, Zach Martin, Tyler Smith in the first round. You know, they've provided him weapons.

You know, C.D. Lamb in the first round. They traded for Brandon Cooks last year. And I just, I don't know that that's what it's about. I just, I think, you know, he's got the ability to parlay this season into something huge potentially next year again.

He's got them. He's got leverage on them. The question just becomes, I think more so, is Dallas okay with that if he ends up going somewhere else? they might be better off of him going some years. I mean, now do you think that they've,

do you think they've approached him about restructuring? And he's just said no, or is this not even? Jerry Jones would probably tell us. He's on some radio station every week talking about it. That's true. Although, you know, there's some, again, he's busy to some other stuff. He's got other matters. Yeah, there's, you know, he's trying to figure out.

He's got to be present at this point. Yikes. Like, you know. What? We don't want to. Okay, I plead the fifth. listen, we don't want to fly through this, okay? But the point is, you know, they've got, you know,

Kid Rock's Rock and Rodeo show that's coming up here. And the music was going on in the background. They're giving Cincinnati ideas to pay Burrow, by the way. They're going to start generating more revenue by more offensive. I mean, why not? How are we going to pay Jamar Chase? I know. Kid Rock.

It's just so appropriate that that would be the place. Like that that's where this would happen. I just, if that's Dak Prescott's thought, nobody in the NFL would have given him what the Dallas Cowboys have given him. Agreed. But he doesn't think that. There's no way he's sitting somewhere thinking that.

There's no way I'll get that money somewhere else. He's got to be betting on himself and believing in himself. He's not thinking that. I mean, I don't think he's, do you think teams view him as as high as the Dallas Cowboys have? No way. I don't know. No way. There's a possibility.

There's a team or two out there that does. You think so? There's the possibility. It is. He does. He's not a bad player. He's just not the most elite. He's not the top tier elite in the league.

He's like next level. He's next level. I mean, if you're having the debate, if Dak Prescott was, let's just say for the sake of discussion, he's a free agent this year. Is he the top free agent on the market or is it still Kirk Cousins? I mean, Cousins had a better year last year up until he got hurt. Although, Dack in totality, or excuse, yeah, DAC in Totality, had a pretty good season. Yes.

I mean, I'll take Kirk Cousins over, D'Card. Prescott. I'm not trying to... I mean, it's close, but I would take Kirk Cousins. I think they're in the same level, the same tier of quarterback. I think I'm with LeVar on this. And so to me, I think

you got to take a look at... I mean, Dak's got more playoff wins. I think you got to take a good heart, look at the fact that Dak may be sitting there thinking to himself, I'm not doing anything except playing. That's all I'm doing, because the only thing that I've had come my way really outside of this this dope-ass contract that I was able to receive

during being my time here is is ridicule like every single time something goes wrong with Dallas who gets the blame deck that gets the blame every single time well that's why does brian made the point you're going to be the fall guy they're going to blame you for the lack of activity in the off season etc etc McCarthy give him give him credit he has found the to find fall guys. Chris, he must have paid attention to the class of Chris Carter because he has used Kellin

as a fall guy. Y'all got a crew. You got a crew? You got to have a fall guy. Can we pause real quick? To put someone on blast. We pause real quick. Come on, let's pause. I mean, while we're working, okay, while we're out here doing our thing. Oh, no.

Hold it down on the herd. What are you doing, Lee? What do you do? We've got Lee, who sends in our group text a picture of the Hollywood Bowl and the tickets for the keep the party going Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show and he's upset about the fact that the backro seats are $450 bucks. I mean

I mean it is in April though. If it was tonight I'd be really going in on you right now. You know what Lee with the amount of gas money you saved driving into work this week you should be fine. Don't worry. You'll be okay there. As soon as you get done with that leprosy of the kneecap you're currently in. I'm so say. When you let your knee almost get infected to the point where you need to be amputated,

so you have to go buy so much hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol. Yeah, I'm sure $450 for your favorite performer ever's tribute show. You got to walk far. I mean, that's probably right next to the exit and the rest rooms. Hey, Lee, let's play a game. How about you don't go into the next liquor store you see for a week? And let's see if you find this $0.50 in your pocket. You know it's bad when a homeless guy gives you a bar of soap and says,

here, dude. Like, oh, here's 15 minutes. Like, do what you got to do. So there are everybody out there that may not know who Lee is. That is our producer. He's the guy that gets all the stuff done with Jonas for the show. You know, Q sends in his notes, but Jonas and Lee are the

ones that put the show together because clearly it's, you know, anyway. So Lee at the Super Bowl was trying to be Brady Quinn's best receiver ever in the history of Brady Quinn's career. And bit it fell down brush burnt his leg top of his knee so unathletic it was such a bad fault

all the dude had to do was put some neosporin on put a band-aid on it and a bigger band-a-a-k because it's a pretty big pretty big brush burn but he chooses balance over over sensibility and was walking around with blue jeans on yeah and nothing covering his knee by the way those jeans aren't blue anymore so so we ask him one day you know because he's like oh my knee still hurts da-da-da-da-da-my-hurt's I'm like man come in here come in and pull your leg, pants leg up. First of all, he pulls a pants leg up. There's nothing covering his knee.

You have denim on. That's first and foremost. Secondly, then he exposes the knee, and it had this super big, inflamed red ring around the scar. And the wound, and the wound hadn't scarred yet. It hadn't even healed up yet.

It's just banged up raw. It looked like somebody like was chewing on it. Like, it's just bad. It made staff infection look like concealing. It looked bad. Yeah. It looked bad. And then eventually he showed us that it did kind of start the hill over.

It still had like the little mark to it or whatever. But then mysteriously, like a few days later, he's sick, super sick. Right. And it's in his throat. You know what I mean? And I'm just telling you that's that infection is still underneath. It was festering from underneath. It's not good.

It then moved up to his throat. So now y'all are filled in on. And now he's asking us about Hollywood bowl tickets on our text messages. For those of you who want a visual of what it looked like when he fell, you know those turnstiles that you see if you're going through like any sort of public transit, subway, something like that to train. So you know how they have like the barrier, like that low bar? That's probably about waist high, all right?

It looked like Lee was running full speed and just didn't see the bar and it hit him right in the waist and he just tumbled over top. Which is wild. That's like there was nothing there. No. He actually turned the front of his shoe over and tripped over his shoe. as he like tumbled forward. Well, because he runs on his toes.

He's a twinkle toes runner. He doesn't. The only thing that touches the ground is his toes when he runs. That's it. I mean, nothing else. Light on his feet. Light on his twinkle toes for sure.

Yeah, so he's been banged up and he hasn't been, uh, it's either that. He's claiming the flu. It's either that or he's getting fitted for a prosthetic. I mean, it's one of the two. He's claiming that's what's going on, but. We feel bad if you came in with a prosthetic, by the way. Yeah. By the way, I would feel bad.

Come on. I mean, you could avoid. avoid it all of the valence with it if you had just put some Neosporan in a bandage over top of it. So he's not with us here. Instead, he's on the men looking up Jimmy Buffett tribute concert tickets. Talk about rubbed raw. By the way, who's paying $4.50 for a Jimmy Buffett tribute concert? Not in the back.

Are you out of your mind? Are you out of your mind? Come on, man. He's going to ask us again. One thing for certain, Jimmy Buffett isn't going to be there. So why are you paying any money for it? I'm just saying. he's going to ask us again for lottery ticket money

and he's just going to skip buying the lot of tickets and go put it straight in his pocket to buy tickets come on man you know what it's Jack Daniels or Evan Williams you could buy it with 450 bucks come on he'll have mini bottles for months well at his rate not probably not

Which Tiki's had a very appropriate response. so we'll let them have that feud but I don't think it was meant the way the mass media then circulated it and took it I don't think he was being serious with that. Yeah but nowadays you got to make sure that you

Like throughout, like, you'll see them like almost like the little carts on ice and stuff like that. You go to Universal Studios.

There's a beer card every 20 feet. Yeah, yeah. It's awesome. I mean, you could be on the liver loop for three hours straight if you wanted to at Universal Studios. But the point is the, the Sequin Barclay. Yeah, back to. Not the one I had recently, I'll tell you that. He's the state college.

What was the name of that one? I don't remember. Oh, no. But, you know, we'll talk about it later. But the point is, Sequin Barclay is a Philadelphia Eagle. And you know what? Unlike other members of this show, I'm going to point out what's great about Penn State. Because they raise him the right way.

And you know what? He's there right now. Yeah, they raise him to take the high road. That's right. Much like Seyuan Barclay did. That's very classy individuals. When he had nothing but love. for the Giants fans who were upset with his departure to Philadelphia.

The Giants fans that were heard about me leaving, I got nothing but love and respect for all those guys and, you know, all those ladies and just the fans for the last six years. They've been great to me, to my family, created so many memories. You know, I don't think I really handle it the right way on social media. I think I could have gave a proper goodbye. You know, like I said, once I announced everything kind of got hectic, but yeah I'm forever

grateful for the Giants fans and so thank for them but unfortunately the NFL is a business and I was able to get to a place that I know I can come here, I can compete and I can win I can stay close to home

and I'm just happy that I was able to be part of his team. Class, class personified and I mean it's great to hear him say it but anybody who knows him and I do know Seekoine Barkley anyone who knows him knows that he is a good

dude, just a genuinely good, caring, you know, reasonable, sensible dude. So if you're a fan of the team and you've been a fan during the duration of his time there, you probably got an opportunity to get to know the person that he is, at least a persona that was put out there and projected by him through the organization and through the media, and that's him. And that's hard to resonate in a market media like New York because there's so much much drama and it's so combative and adversarial

that is very difficult sometimes to find and see the genuineness of how good a person is in those markets, those types of markets. Seekoine Barclay is one of those dudes where you root for him to do well. You look at his body of work and you say

not only is he a really, really fine football player, but he's someone that you want to see win. You want to see them do well. Did I miss something though? Like What was the backlash? Just because he left the Giants and went to Philly? Yes.

He does everything in his power as he can as a rookie to help that team win football games. The offense really was driven through him. He sustains injuries too, right? and then when it comes time to pay him what he's looking for you don't want to do it not only do they don't want to do it they pay a quarterback who now it doesn't seem like they don't want him right and yet people are mad at sequan for then getting the contract that he was hoping to get from the giants in philly just because it's from a divisional opponent like a divinal opponent what it's never relatable to me is

when like you move on from your company because they're like yeah we just don't value you as much as you what you think you're worth. But then the competitor comes over and says, no, no, actually, we'd love to have you. We think you're worth every penny of what you think of work. And now you got a problem with that employee to get a job somewhere else? Like, people do this all the time in business and with their jobs, right? Like, and yet you can't apply it to an athlete?

Like, you can't apply it to Sequin in this case? I don't get it, man. I don't. Because they want your loyalty to be undying loyalty. And let alone, if you're going to go somewhere else, else go somewhere where I can feel happy about where you went. I do not want to see. Doesn't loyalty go both ways?

Yes. Amen. But when you're a doormat to the franchise, you don't think like that. You just think whatever they do is right. And it does bring up the other point of, is Daniel Jones in hiding right now? Is he just trying to avoid because it does feel like they came out and said nothing. I mean, look, you know, they go out and they get Drew Locke. So they bring him in.

But Albert Breer, I know there's been other reports. S&Y has also talked about how they're going to be very aggressive. Not to be mistaken with S&L. No, no, yeah, S&Y. Yeah, well, S&Y is probably funnier. Yeah. Unless Shane Gillis is owning.

what the plan, what the plan is at quarterback for the Giants. And it does feel like they're probably looking around going, we've got to figure out a way to move up. And they're sitting at six, you got the Chargers of five, and you got Arizona at four. So we talked about the Vikings.

But it's still Daniel Jones, though. It's still Daniel Jones. No matter what you say, how are you getting out of the way of Daniel Jones? Oh, no, man. Like it feels like, okay, we're going to move up, we're going to take, how do you get out of the way of Daniel Jones? I think Brian Dayball throwing the Microsoft Word,

tablet or whatever that was last year was an indicator that maybe yeah, maybe the end is near for Daniel Jones. So I just wonder, he got his money though. Are they the team that moves up to that four spot with Arizona who's probably getting hounded by three, four different teams

wanting to move up to get the fourth quarterback? It wouldn't take much to do it. You know, for those listeners who don't know, there's just like this draft trade value chart. The original version was created, I think, by Jimmy Johnson, and then it's been kind of doctored and every team has their own

where they associate a number value with each pick of the entire draft. So for example in this particular one I'm looking at, the fourth overall pick is with 1,200 points. That's the value. The sixth is 1,600 points. So there's a difference of 200

points that you have to make up with another draft slot somewhere that you have to give to that team. And when you're moving up for a quarterback, usually there's a premium, so it's going to be a lot more than 200. But the point is, is like, this was created so that teams have somewhat of a basis of understanding of what each one of these picks is worth.

And in this case, I think the Giants now with the move the Vikings made today should be really concerned, because I don't think you're going to see a quarterback slip to them at six. I think you're going to see quarterbacks go one, two, three, and then at four and five, Arizona and the LA Chargers are going to be listening and taking. as many calls as you could imagine from teams in different trade scenarios up until the draft takes place, that first round. Now, the interesting thing is that if you're Arizona, you'd love to get Marvin Harrison Jr. A wide receiver, right?

I think we can agree upon that. Yeah. If you move back, like, let's see you move back to six. Well, the charges just traded away Keenan Allen and they cut Mike Williams. Bingo. That's probably who they're going to take. So are you going to take that trade back? And do you view a Roma Dunzee or a Malik neighbors, Brian Tom?

Thomas Jr. as an equivalent to Marvin Harrison because clearly wide receivers in need. You know, those are some of the conversations that they're having right now. But I just, I know Drew Locke's there on a one-year deal and they've kind of made it, or John Snyder mentioned it being similar to like the Baker-Mayfield situation this past year in Tampa, you know, go there, win the job, play well, you know, roll it into a longer-term extension. I just don't see it that way. I think he's more there as a legit backup, depending on Daniel Jones, his recovery time frame, and maybe for a rookie too, to see how that rookie plays into, to, you know, just be able to play right away. So with all that being said, good luck, Sequin.

Congratulations, Sequin, and we are Sequan. Like, stop being mad. We are. We are. Well, we are. I mean, I'm saying. I was finishing. No, we are.

Like, I was looking at something like the ranking, the rating of wins on run plays or wins per blocking, per play or something like that. There's some type of stat out there on terms of how you power rank an offensive line.

And Philly was number one on the ranking. And New York was... And I know it's horrible that I'm not giving a reference there, but I did see it... I saw it somewhere.

The Giants are horrible. It's the best supporting cast he's ever had. So for him, I'm looking at it from the standpoint of, okay, I could see how you could say, let me measure and weigh this out. If I want to maintain a strong brand and reputation in the team that drafted me, maybe it isn't the best decision to go to a rival, such a heated rival of a team. But then you start thinking about, well, this really gives him a great opportunity. If he was as good as he was with a trash offensive line in New York, then what is it? going to be behind an offensive

line that actually can do a lot of things and win at the point of attack more often than not. At a quarterback, you got to keep an eye on, right? And you got to keep, as long as he's healthy, you're talking about a whole lot of pressure that's taken off of Sequin

to have the type of production that you've always, which he'd had in New York, but it was such extraneous, is that a word? Extraneous. Yeah, there you go. circumstances. That's cool. Just the circumstances surrounding him trying to have all the success that he was having, it's not as heavy a burden in Philadelphia. So take away the idea that this is a divisional arrival. This is an opportunity for him to push his career forward and what it is that he's doing. You can't be mad at that. Do you guys mind if I give you an update on the Lee purchasing of the $450 ticket at the Hollywood Bowl?

Love this new little approach they got for the Chiefs. Basically draft and develop players like Rishie Rice and then just take a flyer on talented guys that didn't work out elsewhere and see if you can make them work in your system. Man, when you have like an all-time great quarterback, you can get away with a lot. That dude right there is

he's fast. Deep ball threat. That's a sneaky, big pickup. For Kansas City. I don't think it's sneaky. I mean, I think they're kind of communicating what they want to get back to. That's big plays and have a lot of speed.

To your point, he showcased that, man. He's, uh, I just, there's a, there's a reason why he got his nickname Hollywood. Yeah. And it's because he's from Hollywood, Florida. That's right. Well, there we go. That's a story for another day. But that being said, he is, uh, he's a big time playmaker.

He doesn't have to carry their offense as a true number one. As you said, they got Rishi Rice. They have Kelsey. they've got running backs who are capable of getting out of the backfield. And I don't think they're done either. Like this is a very deep drafted wide receiver. I think they're going to keep shooting their shot at getting some of these wide receivers through the draft to develop. Rice has looked good so far, but some of the other ones in the past have kind of been misses.

All right. Favorite Gus Johnson nickname, Hollywood Brown or Maserati Marv? Hollywood. Because of the story behind it. Yes. Well, I'm Hollywood, too. So I'm going to go with Hollywood. I'm going to go Maserati Marv.
