Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.

Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy,

Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman

This week, my guest,
SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

I heart radio.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
Is everyone lying to me about who they are?
I felt such desperation.
I felt it was what I had to do.
Listen to deep cover the family man on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts,

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is,
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is,
getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down,
I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.

crazy week. If you guys remember,
we were in Vegas this past weekend
for the Benavitas fight. Feels like
a lifetime ago. We haven't been home since.
My kids can't recognize me when I can't home.
I heard your son, Ben, has a mustache now. Yeah, he's all
grown up. Coa thinks I went to get a pack
of cigarettes at the liquor store.
I think I missed my teenage daughter's wedding.
Like, so much time is flown by.

Okay, so look out for our best of the week and stick around for Donovan McNabb today.
We also had Gary V stopped by our bonus pod, so look out for that.
Overpromised with Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.
You brought up a great point.
every time we talk to Gary Vee
Gary Vee nerchuk
Hey it's me Gary Vee
I'm gonna F him by the Jets
Every time I talk to him I leave the conversation
Feeling so happy
And good about our show
And Kivino said
Well we have known him for a long time
And he's a good friend
But he goes that's what makes Gary Vee him
He's a mastermind
In those situations
He knows that
Part of his sales approach
just being a good guy and public speaker is to leave people feeling like, wow, he's the best.
He leaves you feeling great.
He leaves you feeling good.
It's definitely a tactic, but he's genuine at the same time.
That's what makes him different.
Now, we got to talk LeBron in just a few minutes, but let me give you the gist of what's going on here.
LeBron James playing like he's 20-something years old again.
So hope you had a LeBron James store tonight.
Hope you're having a Canell.
Alvarez sort of week. He just signed a real fat four-fight deal. And Jake Paul is not included.
So that rumor squashed as of now. Wait, so the Jake Paul rumor squashed? As of now, maybe after this
four-fight deal, but he's getting paid. So again, a really big 24 hours for Canello and
LeBron James. He scored 42 points last night, 17 rebounds, eight assists. But his body language was
like 17 rebounds? That is insane. He just seemed like rejuvenated.
So it just all leads up to this Luca weekend,
but now they're saying that's going to happen on Monday.
Monday against the Jazz.
But maybe that got him all fired up.
I mean, he had already kind of been in his own
because that's the Lakers' 10th win in 12 games.
Yeah, but 42 points at his age.
Right. Even before all this went down,
they were playing really well together as a team.
And last night's win over the Warriors,
that was without their new Center Williams,
who hasn't suited up for them yet, and without Luca.
And Curry had 37 points, but the Lakers still beat him.
Now, in that game, LeBron hit a half-court shot,
but that's not the half-course shot we're going to talk about later on.
There's a real controversial half-court shot in the news.
Now, we're going to get to Drew Brees in a second,
but just want to remind everyone if you don't know,
John Battiste is going to be doing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.
We all know Kendrick Lamar at halftime,
but something to look out for while you're setting up the dips and appetizers on Sunday.
Did you see that Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt are doing a,
pregame event with Fox?
Like, they're part of the pregame.
Tom Cruise, the inventor of the hover round?
No, not the other Tom Cruise.
Oh, the actual actor?
And Brad Pitt, so I don't know what they're going to do,
but they just announced that they're going to be part of it.
So look forward to that.
But right now, we caught up with them earlier.
Honestly, a guy that's so fun to talk to.
I think you're going to enjoy this.
From Media Row, Kavino and Rich, Fox Sports Radio with Drew Brees.
Take a listen.
Hey, is Kavino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio,
and we're joined by NFL legend and Super Bowl champion.
Drew Brees, everybody.
Hey, Drew, you're here with Bounty.
You put a big plate of wings in front of me,
and you expect me to focus on this interview?
No, I want you to shout out on these wings,
and then when you get messy and you're like,
man, what do I do to clean this up?
I got your bounty fix right here.
You got us, man.
This is what we need to clean up.
Because you can't have football without wings.
You can't have wings without Bounty.
Well, let me start.
Before we talk football and also all the fun stuff,
Blue Cheezer Ranch.
This is like the debunkers.
bait that never goes away.
So I think if you were asking like an OG Buffalo wing dude,
which Rob Grankowski, Gronk.
And he's the bounty man.
He asked me to be his wingman in this.
I think he would say blue cheese.
I'm a blue cheese guy myself.
I feel you.
Yeah.
But I'm dairy-free, so I stay away from the-
By the way, when you say gronky, I mean, you had some great tight ends.
Jimmy Graham and his prime and everything.
But, I mean, would have been fun to play with gronk?
Oh, Gronk's a monster.
I don't think you realize how big that dude is.
Yeah.
He's hilarious, too.
He's everything.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, like, I get it, you know?
He's, uh, he's like, his person, here's the thing.
Like, he's so much fun to be around.
Like, like, you know those dudes that just, they're just having more fun than everybody else?
That's wrong.
Great.
Like, just, like, can we inject that?
Like, is that injectable, you know?
Some people are so subdued and he is the complete opposite.
No, no, no, yeah.
That's how I feel, looking at social media.
Like, why is it?
everybody living such a great life everyone's having so much fun that's gronk right why's he having so much
fun what is it that is although he was asked today because we were doing a bunch of stuff together
they were like you know where wins the gronk beach bash that happens at every super bowl he's like you know
i've outgrown that i've outgrown that i've turned the page to a newer a newer a newer gronk a mature
grunk no he only crushes three beat no your cans of night on his head but then he goes no we we've
actually moved it to April 20th at
WrestleMania.
All we've done is just postponed.
Hey, Drew Breez hanging with Kavino and Rich.
I think Super Bowls, I happen
to be at the one that you won, and I
remember it was the first Super Bowl I attended.
And you know, you with
your son and the headphones, is it
a lasting image? And now I think back,
I had to look at it before you got here.
Your son's like a grown man now. He's 16 years
old, man. He's a
grown boy. Dude's trying to get his driver's
license. Is that wild to you looking
back like that might be the coolest father-son picture i got to figure out how to do that my kid one day
can't replicate that you know it was um it's crazy because i obviously he's a kid you know i was a sports
junkie you know i wanted to be a professional athlete i actually wanted to be a professional baseball player
football wasn't really on the radar but uh uh once i was kind of on this football path and i just
envisioned like you know what's the what's the ultimate goal here what's the ultimate prize win the
super bowl and yeah the lamberti trophy but like honestly i just had this image in my mind
of if I ever get a chance to be up there,
like, I hope that I have a son
that I'm able to share that moment with.
You envision that.
Sure enough, all of a sudden,
it's like a manifestation of just, you know, here it is, you know.
And so honestly, it was like time stood still.
It was just, it was the most amazing moment.
Two questions as he grows up,
and by the way, such an awesome moment,
but he's 16.
Do you get in the car with him?
He must have his permit.
Are you frightened by this?
And do you get him his first car?
Yeah, look, he's, um,
I think every 16-year-old boy definitely had, like, the connections quite,
and aren't quite all there, you know what I'm saying?
Like, it's still, you know, like, they still do and say stuff where you're like, what?
Does he have the broccoli head haircut?
Oh, for sure.
Yeah.
He's the kind of kid I'm keeping my 15-year-old daughter away from it.
Stay away from the broccoli heads.
There's no question.
I got a 10-year-old daughter, and I'm just like, oh, God.
But, yeah, you know, he's actually been pretty good.
Like, not too bad, you know, we were to learn how to park, you know, in between cars and actually drive next to cars and have awareness with changing lanes.
So scary, dude, it is, yeah, it's really scary.
I'm not really excited about the whole driving thing.
Other than the fact that, like, finally, it's, you don't have to drive them everywhere, you know.
Right, right.
Hey, I want to go here.
Great.
Drive yourself there.
Yeah, because you're his chauffeur all the time.
Yeah, exactly.
Right.
I feel like this guy every day.
I'm like, where are you?
He was like, I'm driving my daughter, and it's always just somewhere, like, not close to him.
And their friends and everything else.
Yeah. Now, you're talking about Gronk before and his personality type.
You were a great leader, man.
Tell us about that.
When you're dealing with all these different age groups and personalities, what was your approach to leadership?
Well, it was interesting later in my career because, you know, here I am, call it 37 to 42 years old, right?
And just about everybody walking in the locker room is 22, 23, 24 years old, right?
So a huge generational gap.
Like there were moments where I'm in the weight room and like a song.
comes on the radio or something, I'm like,
oh, dude, this was my jam, like
eighth grade middle school.
Like, you're envision, like, a middle school dance
or something, you know, and you're like, oh, this is my jam.
And, like, you see one of the young bucks, and you're like,
hey, man, you remember this song? It was like, I was it.
It was like, I was in diapers. It sounds like
a little time. No, no, no, totally. Exactly.
You know, now my kids call me an unc.
Like, when I say stuff like that, like,
Dad, you're such an unk. So, anyway.
But, like, at the end of the day,
like, showing these guys
that you care about them.
and showing these guys, man,
like, I want to help you be successful.
Like, every, at the start of every
off season, I would ask these young guys,
I want you to write down three goals for me.
Like, I want a professional goal. I want a personal goal.
I want a family goal. And I want to go through those things
together. And I want you to know that I'm there to help
support you. You would actually do that with the young guys that came in?
I would write them down for myself. And then I would,
like, it was kind of a vulnerable thing.
Wow. Yeah. Yeah. This is what I'm trying to
accomplish, man, you'll hold me accountable.
That's really cool. And they make sure it to me and like,
okay, I'm going to hold you accountable.
But the end of the day, like, look,
every guy who comes in the league has these visions of man I'm getting to this this big
second contract like I've got these personal goals I'm trying to achieve and I always wanted
those guys to know man I'm right there with you like take your role accept your role
it may not be the role that you want right now this is where you want to be here's what
you have to do to get there and I'm going to help you get there every step of the way that's amazing
leadership right there yeah and he did it for 20 years so he had to have a knack of leading all
different types of men and who do you see that leadership in today like who do you admire like
that guy, he does it right.
You know, it's hard not to admire these young QBs that are coming up right now.
In fact, it's, I feel like it's fairly unprecedented.
Where literally, like, let's kind of start with Mahomes' class.
Hardly, he's like the elder statesman at year, you know, seven as a start.
There's no doubt.
Yeah.
But, like, you just kind of go down the list of guys like Lamar and Josh, right, and then
kind of that burrow class, right?
and then these six dudes who came out last year, right?
And the year Jayden Daniels had, and Bo Nix and, like,
now Caleb Williams is getting, you know, Ben Johnson, right?
And so, like, you look at these guys and just going, man,
like, the future is so bright for the NFL with all these young QBs.
But, like, there's something about Jaden Daniels.
Obviously, as saw him at LSU,
you actually spent a little time with him at LSU, right,
when he transferred there, was really impressed with, like,
his poison composure and just felt like there was, like, a focus and intentionality.
And he kind of meant from his junior year to his senior year,
man like there was just this flip and as i watched him this year i watch if if you want to know about a guy
just watch the way guys react towards him you know like watch the way the old line reacts when the
dude gets knocked down you know and if they're running over like oh yeah they're like okay they love
his god that's thing you know or like after the game you know a touchdown pass or something
man everybody so like i i see these guys and you know whatever their style is just make sure
it's authentic i don't think there's a lot of rah-rah guys but like man sometimes you're fiery
a lot of times you're poisoned composed but the end of the day like
like the more that you care about your guys, man, the more that they're going to want to take care of you.
Drew Breeze, hanging with Kavino and Rich.
I just picture the last game you played in when you looked back at on the field,
you took that pause by the tunnel, turned around and looked.
Was that one of the more emotional moments of your life that didn't involve maybe your kids or wife?
Yeah, I mean, look, it was obviously, it was tough because, you know, it's COVID,
and so there's no fans in the stands, you know, right?
So it didn't really feel like got that a great feeling of close.
You know, and obviously you just lost a playoff game and, you know, you hope that you would have kept going further.
But, yeah, it was just, I kind of knew that, you know, that was probably it.
And so just that one last glimpse that would have been home for so long.
You ever get the, after you retired, did you ever get the it?
Like, I know I could still do it.
Like when you would see like Tom doing it at his 40s, like, I could probably.
Dude, I'll be honest with you.
If my right shoulder wasn't, you know, I had that really bad injury in with the chargers.
I knew I was on a fast track at that point to, like, early onset arthritis and just a bunch of wear and tear, right?
And the doctor told me that.
And he's like, man, you just kind of hang on as long as you can.
I used to call it prolong my prime.
Like, I'm just going to prolong, prolong, prolong.
But, man, toward the last couple years, I could just feel like, man, it was just a struggle just to kind of throw throughout the week to get to game day, right?
And you function, right?
You find ways to survive and, like, man, I couldn't throw up much past like 45 yards, right?
But I'll freaking rip you up inside of 30.
I was going to say your football IQ was off the charts too.
But that's what I'm saying is like your mental, your knowledge, experience,
wisdom is in an all-time high, but the physical skills start to diminish.
Like, if I could throw the ball, like my body, I could play.
I could play right now.
Right.
I could process the game.
I still see the game, right?
Yeah.
But just the right shoulder doesn't.
Now, maybe he's a lefty.
Like if the field, maybe flagged football Olympic.
LA 2028.
There you go.
Left hand.
Nice.
I'm going to give it a go.
I love me.
I know you got to run.
Bounty, anything you got to let us know about what's doing here?
Yeah.
You know, football, wins.
Wings, Wings, Bounty.
Everybody's getting together on Super Bowl Sunday,
like whipping up the chili and the dogs and the cheese dip and, you know, the blue cheese.
And what do you need?
You know, and what do you need to clean up?
You need Bounty.
My mom always yelled at me for using too much of the paper towels.
You're wasting them.
Can I use as many as I want?
Yeah, you can use as many.
I mean, like, don't intentionally make a mess.
But like, when you do, you know, we just soak it up with bounty.
I appreciate it.
He's a Super Bowl champion here on Super Bowl week.
NFL legend, Jew Breeze on the Kvien.
Thank you, Drew.
Thank you, Drew.
Absolutely.
Awesome.
Always a pleasure.
I mean, could they be a nicer guy, Danny, than Drew Breeze?
I don't know why so many people hated him when he started, you know, being a broadcaster.
Well, now that he gave me all those free bounty paper towels, I love the guy.
Yeah.
But great guests, super nice dude, Drew Breeze.
And if you missed it earlier, Seal, the artist, Seal and Debo Samuel were on the show.
We still got Donovan McNab.
Stop.
You know, it's funny.
You're so right, though.
your mom wasn't the only one.
My mom, too.
You're wasting the paper towels.
Like, they were gold in my house.
Yeah, seriously.
I guess they were expensive in the 80s.
I don't know what it was.
They're still expensive.
I know, but...
Do you know our 14-year-old once in a while at dinner?
I'll see her rip like three of them off and just like leave them on the table and she used one of them.
I use like gas to, you know, because I still got my mom yelling at me in my mind.
Are you going to try to put a few rolls in your carry-off?
Absolutely, man.
I actually went up to Drew out.
After it, I'm like, yo, man, you got the hook up or what?
So he stuck me a few.
So thanks again to Drew Breeze.
Just a really nice dude.
And he looks great, by the way.
He does look like he could still play.
But we got to talk LeBron James and his college kid I was talking about next.
Perfect.
Some college kid hit a half-court shot in a contest and a promotion.
And it got a little controversial, we'll explain.
Can't wait.
I.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas?
guys.
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
We were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remember.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.

He was great.
We still got Donovan McNabb on standby.
Eagles legend, but real quick, right quick.
I told you, LeBron went off, right?
42 points, 17 rebounds, 8 assists to beat the Golden State Warriors.
And Curry had a good game.
But one of the most memorable moments was this half-court shot of it.
But there's another half-court shot.
shot in the news. This story annoys me.
Yes, some college kid was out of UMass

He told this story, and I was like, no way.
So this college kid was doing this
halftime little promotion, right?
And the deal was, you make a layup, sweet.
I've seen these here. Layup. Then you've got to make the
free throw. Then you've got to make the
three point. Then he goes to make the
half court shot for $10,000.
Right?
$10,000 shot. He heaves it up.
switch. Nothing but the bottom. Exactly money.
$10,000 until hold up.
Wait a minute. Record scratch.
Exactly.
Who gets a letter from the school's lawyers.
The promotion company, I think it's called odds on promotions that handles these sort of things throughout the nation.
And they say, hey, we're not going to give you the $10,000 you thought you won because your foot was on the line.
And it says here in the rules.
Say what now?
And it's like, well, what officials are studying this tape?
Because you really can't even tell you.
You just see this kid heave it up.
It's so close, right?
This is not the game.
This is a...
I get it.
Like, some would say, well, rules are rules.
But the optics of this, $10,000 to a university, to a program, is peanuts.
To a college student?
UMass apparently isn't paying this kid named Noah who hit this shot.
Of course, his name is Noah.
And apparently they feel bad about it.
So they offered him a four-person, like, loge suite.
for the next team.
$100 in gift certificates.
Oh, $100.
Court side seats for the next women's basketball game.
Not to sound like a jerk.
This keeps getting worse.
Was the lead four tickets to a women's college basketball game?
Yeah, seriously.
A sweet.
Yeah, and if you look at the footage, no one was really at the game.
And court side seats.
And they said, hey, you know what?
We feel bad.
It's very sexist.
By the way, it implies guilt to me.
Like, you know, why would you give him any ancillary prize or consolation prize
if he didn't get it because they said, look, we'll let you do it again, but next time for $1,000.
So odds on promotions made a public statement saying, hey, look, we stand by our rules and this and that.
We've paid over $40 million in contests throughout the nation.
So what's another $10,000 is the question?
Give this kid the $10,000.
Pay them, pay them, pay them, pay him, pay him.
A college kid.
Ten grand is a lot to a college kid.
It's a lot to a lot of people, but this is bunk, this story.
Yeah, so the Internet's going on.
wild about it saying, you know, pay this kid.
And not only should they pay this kid, Kavino, like,
the constantly surprise their week.
They don't know it reminds me of, remember the Hornets,
gave a kid a PS5 and they're like, oh, that was just for show and they took it away.
Yeah.
Make it right.
All right.
Now, listen, the fun continues here, Radio Row.
Speaking of college, a guy that I went to college with.
Donovan McNabb, Eagles Legend, Cuse Legends.
We caught up with him.
Check it out live from New Orleans, Covino and Rich.
It's Kavino and Rich on 5.
Fox Sports Radio, and we're here with NFL legend. Philadelphia Eagles legend. Donovan McNabb.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Whoa.
Wait, you can say.
The crowd's going crazy right now.
You can say Eagle.
Yeah. Syracuse, baby. My freshman year.
Woo! Yeah. The crowd's going crazy, I'll tell you.
You know what I've been saying for years just to get at him? I said, didn't Donovan McNab used to make you do your laundry?
Right?
Oh, gee. Don't do that.
Used to clean his socks for her, right?
I used to do it's laundry.
No, my freshman year at Syracuse,
I had the privilege of watching you play in the dome.
And, man, that's a long-ass time ago now.
Yeah, it is.
But you know what?
It's funny because now I've got a kid at Syracuse.
Wow, dude.
And she's a junior.
She plays basketball.
And to go back is kind of like, you know, I always say,
man, there used to be so-and-so over here.
And she's like, Dad, that was back in the 90s.
There was Cosmos?
And then there was, you know, Lucy's and Maggie's.
Yeah.
And all the but the...
Like, I'm still bad Acropolis is gone.
Acropolis had a great slice.
Yes.
The crust had like almost like a texture.
Well, I don't know, kind of.
It probably was sitting for about eight hours, but then they put it in the oven.
Never Chucks?
It was like, it was absolutely.
Chucks.
Well, hold on.
Can we go back in time?
Yeah.
You're here talking Syracuse.
What was that like for you?
You went to Chucks.
You went to all these places.
Did you ever pay for a slice of pizza?
You were D-Nab.
Absolutely.
Really?
They made you pay lunch?
Tell us what it was like.
You ain't walking out with a slice and some wings free over the Cropolis or Varsie.
Absolutely like.
Tell us what it was like to be you on that campus, though.
Thursday nights because we played Saturday.
Thursday nights, Monday nights were great nights.
Saturday night was an outstanding night during football season.
Right.
You know, because obviously you're celebrating the win and everyone's enjoying themselves.
The fun was always there.
even when it snowed.
And that's the thing is when you're playing on the East Coast and the snow.
Yeah.
Like nothing shuts down in Syracuse.
No.
Nothing.
It could be 80,000 feet of snow.
The buses are still going and the bars are still open.
Great times.
Are you able to look back and, because enough time has passed and saying, I was the man, dude.
No, I was never like that.
No, ever, not even now.
No, I was never like that.
I was all about team.
And me and my teammates went out.
out, had a good time.
When it came to football or basketball, because I played basketball too, it was just an
opportunity to have fun, man.
Like, you know what I mean?
It's like, oh, the football team's here.
Like, it wasn't like, yeah, I'm here.
Like, no.
I'm not that type of guy.
I love that, man.
I love that.
How do you stay humble like that?
It's upbringing.
It's upbringing.
Mom and dad just, we weren't about that.
You know, we're all about focusing and zoning in on the common goal.
And, you know, obviously I was a little rebellist.
you know, as most kids are.
Right.
When you get to college, you're away from family.
I mean, I'm from Chicago, so that's a long ways away.
I looked at it as a long time for my dad to get here if something happens,
so I can be able to get myself together if something went wrong.
Now, when you were playing at Syracuse, when you were playing, period,
you were in control of the situation for the most part.
You're leading a team.
Right.
What's it like when you're watching your daughter play now?
Are you just going nuts inside?
How does that feel?
No, it's more joy.
Really?
It's more joy.
You're able to sit back.
Relax?
Not really, but, you know, because I still have a coaches mentality.
And so I'm usually yelling from the stands.
I'm that dad.
You know, can you give me the balance?
Because when I get back to Los Angeles tomorrow, I start coaching T-ball, and I'm doing
my daughter's softball team, too.
What's the balance?
She's seven.
I've done it two years in a row, but now they're pitching to each other.
I coach softball for seven years.
No, I coached softball for five years.
It's hard to be.
It's hard to be stern with the little girls, though, right?
Club.
Club.
That's next level.
So I've got, I've had middle school girls and the high school girls.
I've just recently stepped down from coaching.
I started an organization myself.
The tough part is when you're coaching, you know, you're trying to develop and you're trying
to provide confidence for these kids.
And you're giving them great work ethic and passion and trying to bring the best out of them.
Because the most important thing is you want to.
them to have fun. No doubt. You want them to have fun while they're learning. And not to look at it
as if it's a job, sort of speak. And so when they get older and they start developing and they
start to see the results, now it becomes, okay, I really like doing this. And so for a coach,
that's what you want to see. But it's just when you have these older girls, the parents start
becoming the problem. Because my daughter, she wants to know what she can do to play more. And
you know, she didn't really pitch as much this tournament.
And it's like, she gave up seven runs.
Yeah.
By the way, imagine having to question Donovan McNabb.
I know.
Maybe he knows a little something about.
Yeah, I still.
You know what I mean?
It could be that that they're just like, oh, well, you know, you're, you know,
because people start hating, you know, it's like, you're a coach.
He's a football coach.
What does he know about softball?
It's like, I play baseball, too.
Like, really?
And we're kicking your butt.
Imagine the pressure the moms are putting.
on the dads to say something.
Say something.
He's like, that's Donovan McNabb.
Honey, honey, chill.
Chill, honey.
No.
Hey, that's he.
Coach, can I talk to you?
No.
I back off through.
That's cool.
It's cool.
Yeah, we're good.
Now, you did that for seven years.
So obviously, really fulfilling, right?
And coach basketball.
And coach basketball.
Post football.
Yeah.
What has been the most fulfilling thing for you?
Watch my kids grow.
Really?
Watch my kids grow.
And when I went in a retirement, you know,
I told my wife, I was like, I'm going to be the dude at the diner, going to the same diner every day.
I know the chef.
I know the waitresses.
I'm going to be the guy going to the gym every morning.
You know, I had a regiment.
And it was like, and I'm going to be the dad at every game.
Like, take my kids to practice, you know, pick them up from practice, be at every game.
Because that's the thing is you want to be supportive of your kids because you don't want your kids to look and not see you in the stands.
And then it's like, my dad never really came to my game.
I made sure that that was never going to be said.
That's amazing.
Now, 20 years ago, not to date us, that was the first Super Bowl we went to as a show.
05, Jacksonville, Florida.
Damn.
You were this close, bro.
You were this close, bro.
I mean, to say it 20 years ago.
Wow.
Yeah, I mean, but you know what?
It's kind of, it's one that you could talk about and just understand the
journey but you have to understand the journey you got to understand the four
NFC championships you got to understand you know the ups and downs and the seasons
you got to understand kind of our process and to be able to make it to the
Super Bowl yes we were that close of winning and and you know it hurts sometimes
when you think about it but it still shapes our lives no doubt like would I
would I go back and change it I would love to go back in and change and and we
win but it really made me who I am today
when it comes to me working with my kids
and being able to explain,
hey, we're high sometimes and then we have lows.
But not everything is going to be perfect.
But you have to be able to get back on track,
lace up the shoes, and get moving forward.
Because not everything is going to go the right way,
the way you expect it.
What was that sting like, that burn like,
when you lost the Super Bowl?
You did a lot of great things that season and your whole career.
And the reason I asked that is because all the Eagles lost one,
Jalen Hertz, well, lost one.
So he's got to have a certain fire inside now.
The thing was, you know, when you do lose the game,
in your mind you're always thinking, we'll be back.
And that's kind of something that, okay, next season,
then the following season doesn't happen.
The following season doesn't happen.
And for them, at least, we're jailing right now, you're back.
And you're trying to do everything to correct from what happened in that first game
so that they won't happen in this particular.
game. Is it wild for you to see Coach Reed still doing his thing? Yes. It's it's it's you know I talk to I talk to
big red all the time and I'm just like listen man like you have had the privilege of having a guy at the
face of the franchise carry you for over a decade and be able to collect win after win after win and he's like yeah
I've I've coached two Hall of Fame quarterbacks it's amazing and I go well Alex Smith had a great year
He had a great career.
And he goes, now, you are my first Hall of Fame quarterback.
You were my first quarterback that I drafted.
He had never been a head coach.
Got the position, all time winning his head coach in Eagles history
and all time winning his head coach in Kansas City.
Hey, as a veteran now who's been there and done all that,
do you reach out to these young quarterbacks ever?
I do.
I do.
Text message, call.
I talk to Patrick, talk to Patrick, talk to Jane Daniels.
I've been talking to Jaden Daniels since he was in Arizona State.
I feel like a lot of people have been talking about Jaden Daniels maturity and how this kid gets it.
But see, this is the thing about the NFL.
You want to get a guy who is mature and has games under his belt.
He's been a starter for four years.
And that says a lot.
Four year starter.
And like these guys sometimes is like one year, two year starter, you know, sat.
Then all of a sudden became the starter.
And then he blew up.
And it's like he hasn't had a start.
that much game experience. He has game experience. He's been there. He was actually light as a
freshman and sophomore. He got bigger, but he still played like he was big. And that's the thing.
That's key. I wasn't shocked by the way he played this year by any means. Are you torn at all being
that coach reads like, you know, one of your probably closest people in the football world,
but then you spent to most of your career as an eagle. Is this like one of those like,
ah, do you have a, you have a win-win for me? Yeah. It's a, it's a,
win-win for me. I want the Eagles to win. But if Andy wins to be a part of his journey,
it's special. It's special. I mean, we're talking possible three-pe. We've never seen it happen
before. And to have the big red guy as the face of it. Right. It's unbelievable. Well, Donovan. I want
to thank him for being part of my journey. No joke. I started my radio world at Z-89, Syracuse.
Oh, hold it down. And that's where I started. And I was, you know,
trying to figure out do I want to do radio while I'm going to the dome to watch you and fast forward 20 plus years later it's pretty cool to see you here man
30 years 30 that's right yeah it's damn nuts well thank you for your time man and enjoy this weekend all your fans are here
and we're happy to have you on the show oh man I appreciate you guys having me man keep it going thank you

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel.
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Jacob Kingston grew up in an isolated polygamous sect.
We were God's chosen kingdom on earth.
He felt destined for greatness.
So when a swaggering Armenian businessman,

He doesn't look back.

I'm Michelle McPhee,

I've ever come across.
When Jacob met Levant this plant to a billion dollar fraud.
But with two kings from entirely different worlds,
just how long can their empire survive?
The largest tax investigation in American history.

Oh, yeah.
And the Express Pros Pro of the Week goes to LeBron James.
Come on.
It's got to be 42 points.
And he's in his 40s?
17 boards, eight assists.
To beat the Golden State Warriors.
And then leading into this big weekend or Monday with Luca.
I mean, he looks so energized and rejuvenated.
He's playing like he's 20-something years old.
Props to LeBron James for being

It is time.
The football season, Camino, 18 weeks of making our picks,
predictions, fantasy players,
the playoffs comes down to one game, 60 minutes Sunday, Super Bowl 59.
How does it go down your final choice?
Oh, you hear that NFL films music in the background?
All right, I'll look it off.
I think it continues to be the year of the running back,
and Sequin is the difference in a close one.
The Eagles break it up with a win, 34, 31 over the Chiefs.
Eagles played spoiler to Brady.
I think they play spoiler to Chiefs three-peeding,
and they stop history.
Look, all week long we've talked to professional athletes all week long.
And everybody says, don't bet against Mahomes, don't bet against Mahomes.
But we kept asking, well, how do you stop Barclay?
Even the pros didn't have an answer to that because nobody has an answer to that.
So until you tell me, you know, there's a way to stop this guy, I don't know how you do it.
I think he's the difference.
All right, well, listen.
I have the same pick as you, but let me explain.
Okay.
I got the Eagles 31-26.
31-26 Eagles.
I'm still picking the under on Sequin Barclay, under 110 and a half.
I think turnovers will be the difference.
The ball always bounces the way of the Kansas City Chiefs.
That changes this Sunday.
If Tom Brady couldn't do three in a row, Joe Montana got close.
Guess what happened in Montana's third try?
a fumble against the Giants in 1990, which led them to the Super Bowl.
And that was the Niners were 14 and 2.
So if Joe Montana, Joe Cool couldn't do it, Tom Brady couldn't do it,
yo, pump the brakes.
I love my homes.
Eagles 31-26.
I'm looking for a big game from J.lyn Hertz hitting A.J. Brown,
Devante Smith, and our dude, Dallas Goddard.
I think it's a good one.
That surprises me.
I thought you were going to go Chiefs.
All right.
Here's Dan Byers before I get to mine.
He left his prediction with me.
He's got Eagles beating the Chiefs 33.
Hold on.
Hold on.
That's a drop.
That's an audio drop from Sam scaring us on the side.
I know.
What was that?
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Byer has the Eagles 33, the Chiefs 27.
Great job.
All right.
Great job.
Why don't we use these more?
I know.
This week we've heard a lot about the Chiefs defense versus Seekwan.
But the key to this game is going to be the Eagles defense, keeping Mahomes on the sideline.
just long enough to play keepaway at the end of the game.
In the final minute, the refs help Casey get in position for a potential tying field goal,
but it bangs off the upright of the Eagles, hoist the Lombardi, 27 to 24.
Oh, and then Harrison Bunker has to get in the kitchen?
Yeah.
So far, all Eagles.
Yes, all right, and now we go to Spotty.
Man, four of us?
I'm not choosing either team.
I'm choosing the Elxas.
The EL, what is that?
Whatever.
No, I'm going with the birds.
on this one. I feel like, I don't know.
I'm not just playing bandwagon.
I feel like, I feel it in my heart of hearts, and that's how I choose games, because
it really comes down to at this elite level, at the, and in the Super Bowl, it could
be anyone's game, and I feel like it's leaning towards the Eagles.
Score-wise, I'm feeling 35 Eagles.
Okay.
Let's go with 27 Chiefs.
All right.
Let's go to Sherman Oaks, California.
Moncie, what say you?
Before we go to Moncee, Vegas has a Chiefs.
minus one. So this is by far, this is a pickum essentially. It really is. And the fact that it's
5-0 right now, Mazzi, is a clean sweep or you going Chiefs? No, no, no, you guys keep talking
about what's going to, what they're going to do with Sequin Barclay. Steve Spagnolo is going to know
what to do. You guys keep mentioning Patrick Mahomes alongside Tom Brady. He didn't do it. Spagnolo
is going to figure it out. I'm taking the Chiefs to win it, 27 to 24. Wow. And now let's go
to Bursh back at the studio.
Bursh, thanks for your help this week, buddy.
Oh, of course, of course.
It's been a great time.
Now, here are my thoughts on what will happen.
You can't keep getting away with it.
Too bad.
He can't keep getting away with it.
Yeah, but they can.
The Chiefs are going to win this game.
You can't just keep picking against the Chiefs
because they will continue to prove you wrong.
They will keep getting away with it.
But they won't top 30 points because they don't do that.
29-24 Chiefs win this one to three.
All right.
Instead of Iowa, Sam, we've been calling them now for a few weeks.
Cheese steak Sammy.
Cheese steak Sammy.
I think we know which way you're leaning, buddy.
Well, I blurted this out on the Doug Ghaly show.
I didn't really put any thought into this score.
So I took the Eagles to win 34 to 20.
I don't actually think it'll be that big of a gap there.
But I did pick that the Eagles to win 34 to 20 on the Doug Ghaly show, so I got to stick with it.
Eagles 3420, Kansas City.
And we appreciate all of the staff back home in Sherman Oaks.
Thank you guys for helping there.
All week.
And real surprising picks, man.
Only two people chose the Chiefs.
Yeah.
Oh, is Kendrick Lamar going to say the pedophile Drake line, or you think they're going to beep it?
I think they're going to beep it.
Lawyers always win.
It's the NFL.
It's family-friendly.
Why take that chance?
You know, on the biggest stage possible, no way.
All right.
What are you going to watch on the way home now?
Dexter, originally.
Sin. Are you going to change it? Are you going to change it to
sweatpants for the flight? Probably, but I got to say they're on the top of my
suitcase. Yeah, me too. You don't do the same thing? They're at the top of my
suit. I don't want to wrinkle my nice Travis.
We got comfy clothes on standby for the flight and we'll see you guys back in
Los Angeles. But enjoy the Super Bowl. Enjoy friends and family. Enjoy those
chicken wings. Can I give an update. Can I give an update. My wife
dips. My wife bought a smoker.
Oh my. Oh my gosh.
She is like, babe, I'm already starting to experiment
cooking different meats.
It's going to be great.
I'm like, you know, like, when you have people over for a party,
that's not time to experiment?
Do I have to pretend like I like it if it's bad?
Absolutely.
Okay, I will for you.
Perfect.
Hey, enjoy the Super Bowl.
We'll see all you guys next week.
Enjoy the weekend.
Yeah.
Until next time.
Arirvederechi, baby.
We will see you in Los Angeles after the Super Bowl.
Enjoy it.
We'll see you in the Promise Land.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.

But, you know.
Tired and sick.
