In Mexico, it's six flags? Or is it Case flags down there? They're stuck on the swing because a storm came in. And they're like, yeah, you guys, you guys are.

during your own during a storm yeah or horrifying stuck with 12 big NFL players on an elevator a lot of stuck stories so who would you least want to be stuck with of all the NFL quarterbacks think of that dumb question we'll get to that you're ever in mixed company rich

and like everybody gets up at the bathroom at the same time you're stuck with the person who never talks and you're like that's the worst one I'm going to use the restroom you like all right honey then like her girlfriend's like I'll come with you and you like I'm stuck with the dude Yeah, or it's like someone you really don't know that well. You know what the worst is?

You're just looking at that guy. The worst is when you're stuck small talking with a guy. And I'm not just saying this because we're on Fox Sports, but when you get stuck talking to a guy who's like, I don't follow sports. And you're like, what am I going to? You're like a dad at school. Like, hey, we're here at the assembly.

Man, you pumped about the NFL, man, a week away. I don't really care for sports. I don't know. That is the longest. What's the longer? two and a half minutes. When the Uber says it's on its way and it says two and a half minutes

but you're like 12 and a half minutes later waiting for this is doing little spinny circles or when you're stuck with that dude because all your friends went to the bathroom and you're stuck with that one guy you have nothing to talk to. That's like that, you know what it's like when you pick your kid up from school

and one of the dads like starts talking to you but you have nothing in common with that guy you just you're looking for your kid to come out so fast. I'm like, I have nothing to talk to this guy. You look at your kid. Come on, buddy, let's go. It's the longest two minutes ever.

Because you're talking about it, we're going to get to NFL, but Kavino's, you have a great story about your dad. I do? I'll give you one word. Kovina's dad. Havarotti. It's a quick 30-second story, but this defines what we're talking about as far as those dads that don't talk about sports. So my dad comes to pick me up when I was a little kid. I was, you know, Ruffhausen with one of my buddies.

You're probably playing Contra. You're probably playing RBI baseball. RBI baseball. Right? RBI baseball. Playing some bases loaded. Some. Double double.

I was playing Nintendo probably. Blades of steel. My dad comes to pick me up and now he's in the living room of another dad, basically. But my dad wasn't like, dad. My dad was a blue collar dad younger. This dude was like stuffy, older dad, right? Like one of the books. He was like a Buxton.

And my dad walks into the house and, He's like, hey, come on, let's go. And I'm like, I'll be right up, Dad. But I make my dad wait like 10 minutes because I'm in the middle of something. And my dad is having that, oh, man, I'm stuck here with this stuffy dad moment. He has no idea what to talk about. And he's sort of scrambling for things. And he looks and he sees a picture on the wall of Pavarotti, right?

And I remember. Who has a picture, by the way, Pavarotti? This dad. Stuffy guy. This dad. And he had a picture of Pavarotti. And it was lit up. It was illuminated.

and everything. This dude is a big Poverati fan. My dad just happened to see a documentary on Poverati, but he knew nothing about Poverati. Again, my dad knew only about vending machines. He didn't know about Poverati. My dad's a blue-collar guy. So my dad just making small talk. He's like, hey, hey, hey, who's that Poverucci? I know that guy.

My dad probably thought that was Ron Jeremy, right? Yeah, I know that guy. And the dad is like, oh, Mr. Kavino, I didn't know you loved Povera. Sit out. Have a seat. Sit down. I walked upstairs to my dad listening to Pavarotti albums with this dude thinking like, my dad doesn't like Pavarotti.

You kidding me? My dad squeezed my hand so hard when he came up, come on, come on, let's go. I said, don't you ever do that again? You come up, you better, because I made him wait. That's what happens. You never want to get stuck with the other lame dad. So that's my dad and the Pavarani's time. The end.

All right, hey, listen, we had time to think about it. round the room. Yeah. What NFL team has you confused as hell? What NFL team do you look at and say? There's one team that leads this conversation. You think that.

I think there's a handful of them. There's a number one survey says, Steve Harvey says, Survey says number one answer on the board by far simply because of the quarterback situation, but it's not only that. They need an offensive tackle. They need another receiver.

They need a cornerback. They need to, to improve their special teams. There's so many question marks with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Who are they starting when they face the Falcons? It's going to be Russell Wilson. But if he slips, then you got Justin Fields.

And by the way, that's just me saying that. Yeah. You know, but you got Justin Fields backing them up. People are going to be chanting for Justin Fields once they get at home. It's going to be a sticky situation. And not only do they need an offensive tackle, like I said, with Herbigout and receiver

and cornerback to replace Rush, special teams. but like Tui was saying off the air we have a pre-show meeting in the kitchen I was there still waking up he thought I wasn't listening but he was like I don't think Mike Tomlin's gonna last

do the year that's my hot take why do you think that Tui by the way because he was like I don't think he's gonna last there's so many question marks there Rich this is the this is the catalyst to the question this is the start of it all like when you think of teams with the

the biggest question marks and hardest to predict is the Steelers number one yeah I mean look, he was already sort of on the warm seat last year. Quarterback situation, disaster, right? Like, things are just very, it's unsettling. And I think it's going to go south quick. I mean, you could flip it a little bit and change your perspective and say, well,

those are good problems to have, right? Two guys to choose from. But I think that's like, I'll give me the analogy. It's like, I hate to always make it about dating, but it's like dating two average girls and be like, who should I choose? How about neither? Hey, you have two job interviews with jobs you really don't want. wait for the job

sometimes too mediocre does not equal one good and I think that would be most people's number one so I gotta get that out of the way that's sort of why we pose this question anyway So Tilly you think not only will

Tom will be on the hot seat so he does not continue his over 500 streak I don't that's my hot take it's sizzling sizzling sizzling It's like a fajita coming in the room There's a lot of pressure there

Yeah, to figure it out. I mean, look, a lot of people will ask you. Like, I'm glad that's not my job. That's his job. He's got to figure this out. If it doesn't work out, that's on him. And Danny G., I know there's some action in Vegas, right, when it comes to the Steelers. Yeah, the Steelers are the most bet on team to go over their season win total, which Vegas has said at eight and a half.

See, so a lot of people. But also a lot of Steelers fans out there. A lot of Steelers fans doing, you know, they're making a bet with their heart. That's all, yeah, that's the problem. Over eight and a half wins? Yeah, that's the public saying their coach Tomlin can't go under 500. He never does. Man.

So I'm just looking at the TV screens too here in the studio. Like everybody's talking about the Steelers because it's like, well, what's going to happen? What's your team, Danny G? I'll hold mine for us. I mean for us. I know you're big Raiders guy and you have a lot more faith in them than I think a lot of people do. I'm not going to be a homer. I'm not going to go that route.

The most confusing team to me is the Miami Dolphins. Because besides Tua getting paid, we know he's got a lot of weapons on offense, but their defense was always stout. And suddenly they lost Wilkins, two my Raiders. Thank you for that. Christian Wilkins, Robert Hunt, Zavian Howard, Jerome Baker, Andrew Van Ginkle, who was a great piece to that defense. Brandon Jones, the safety.

They lost all those pieces on defense. So how is that going to translate on the field for the dolphins this season? I also think Bradley Chubb starting on the Pupp list. He's going to miss the first four games of the year. Like, they're coming into the season, a lot of losses in free agency and already injured. It doesn't look good. Yeah, but Mike McDaniel got to glow up, though.

Did you see his hair? He looks like a drug king pinned out of my head now. It's got to be worth something. But Danny G., I like what you said about the dolphins. I feel the same thing about the Steelers. There's a lot of voids in their roster. They're adding a lot of new people. You know, we forget that chemistry is a big part of this.

You can't just start replacing people and all these voids and have all these new people and expect them to gel right away too. So there's going to be that transitional period for the team and how fast are they going to gel. That's awkward. It's hard to predict. We haven't seen it yet. The hardest team to predict, you got the dolphins.

You got the Steelers. You got the Steelers. I mean, we're talking about teams where some people would say, maybe they win their 6 and 11, 7 and 10. And then other people are saying, no, no, playoff team. I think just based on, The USA Today, which means nothing to me. But the USA Today, did they not predict the Jets to win the Super Bowl?

Yes. Right? Was that right? They predicted the Jets to win the Super Bowl. I look at the Jets as confusing as can be. Because I grew up in New York and people, much like my Mets, people say, Jets are going to jet. They're still the Jets. ETS, Jets, Jets, Jets.

There's some truth to that for sure. There's something about just the stigma of that team. Aaron Rogers coming off an injury. but he's still Aaron Rogers but is he still the elite Aaron Rogers? Coming home injury and getting older so you don't know what to

predict because that's what we're talking about. They added Mike Williams. They're healthy Javon Kinla, I'm a Niners fan. He's going to be a big acquisition. Solomon Thomas Hassan Reddick. Like the Jets made some moves. I feel like the Jets are a playoff team. I think the Jets, for them

what stinks is that they have to play the 49ers week one and that'll that's like a weird way. It's a weird way. It's a like a weird place to start. Like, hey, let's play the 49ers out west. That's like you draw the short straw in the schedule making. But then after that, the Jets have a little bit of a cake schedule for a minute.

So I think the Jets are a playoff team. I'm on board with the Jets making the playoffs. If Bradgers stays healthy, you know, that's what you're really banking on, too. And again, I'm going to take a look at the Jets schedule. And I don't want to do that thing where we go over every game, but there are very winnable games after the 49ers. They play the Niners. Then they play, get this?

Because I think these are like, we're talking about a couple winnable games in a row. Let's say they drop the opener to the Niners. I'm a Niners fan. I'm cool with that. O'N-1. They play Tennessee. If the Jets have anything, they should beat Tennessee, right? Then they play the Patriots, 2-1, the Broncos, 3-1.

The Vikings. If the Jets are what you think they might be, 4-1, then they played the bill so you could go four and two Steelers five and two Patriots again six and two Texans give them a loss six and three the way we're going is it's looking like the Jets are a 10 to 12 win team

based on how things are going so confusion I say the Jets but I'm leaning on the playoff Jets not the dude the Jets are going to jet they're going to be 7 and 10 Aaron Rogers is done I don't believe that I like I like the answer still you know

productive they have a good team but aside from Aaron Rogers and not knowing what to predict. There's not as many question marks as there are with the Steelers as there are with the dolphins. The Jets play the Cardinals? The Jets play the Cardinals, the Seahawks. They have a couple, you know,

weak games down the stretch too. I think I'm on board with the Jets postseason possibilities. Who are we forgetting? Who do you want to add to this list that we're making? The teams that are hardest to predict this upcoming NFL season, 818, 817-7509.

He goes, Sunshine, Trevor Lawrence and the Jags. They got to show up or that team's going to implode. That team should with what they built around. Trevor Lawrence at this point, they're well-coached. He's like, if they don't somehow, Because remember last year, I remember this specifically, because they were six and two going into that 49ers game. They lost to them, they got trounced by the 49ers

and then went on a downslide, much like the Eagles season. The Eagles and the Jags, poop the bad at the end of the year. All these teams have that the Steelers don't, an official starting quarterback. I think if you can't even figure that out, that screams like we don't know what's going on yet. That's hard to predict.

What do you think about the charge? Chargers music. Ryan, what do you? Do you think the Chargers are... So the Chargers is similar to what you had said about the Jets. I want to believe the Chargers aren't predictable, but everybody here in L.A. knows that chargering is an adverb. And so it's almost predictable that regardless of what happens,

you're going to have a catastrophic end of the season in the playoffs. Even going back to Stan Humphrey's not. There's a way that, whether it's, you know, Philip Rivers even. That team does Charger. I'm intrigued by the Chargers because I think it's going to be interesting obviously with Jim Harbaugh and Collins a big fan of Jim Harbaugh and he's had so much success

everywhere he goes and I want to see if as you guys were talking about earlier can Justin Herbert really establish himself as like that bona fide top five guy along with all the other elite quarterbacks. I just don't find them confusing because I don't I personally don't have

super high expectations for them. Like there's so many teams in the AFC that we know we're like, we know the chiefs are going to be really good, we know the bills should be very good, whether you think it's the Ravens or the Bengals in the AFC North, we know all those teams are going to be very good.

And so I'm like, at best, if the charges have success, what they're going to be like, maybe like the sixth or seventh best team barely getting into the playoffs. So I don't see a huge range for them. What you said earlier, I think the Eagles, I'm like,

I don't know what to expect. Because for them to go from in the Super Bowl to last, They started out like 10 in 1, right? I like that answer because again, the question is what is hardest to predict. That's hard to predict. You don't know what Eagles you're going to get. Yeah, you have no idea because they had to turn over both coordinators because that didn't work for Nick Siriani.

There's all the questions that Siriani and Jalen Hertz don't have the best relationship. One of their biggest veteran leaders on offense, Jason Kelsey is now gone. And so now you're like, I actually don't really know. I mean, they have a lot of talent. I expect that they should be good, or are they going to come out and struggle, and then all of a sudden they start pulling apart like they did at the end of last season?

I love what you said, because you could say this about so many teams, which is why NFL is king. Which is why everyone's turning the page. Because, like, back to the Chargers, one second. They should be running the ball a lot to bounce out that offense. I'm a hardball guy. I like him. J.K. Dobbins? Gus Edwards?

Like, do they even have, like, do they have an elite? running game right now to compliment Justin Herbert? They're in salary cap hell and there's no more Mike Williams to throw the ball to, no more Keenan Allen to throw the ball to. So you've got to look at those weapons. It might take another offseason for Harbaugh

to get the salary cap mess figured out and get the right additions to that offense for his quarterback. Oh, I guess we don't know Anthony Richardson and if he's going to you know, that's a good one. I mean, I love the fact that we've named

like five teams and we could keep going on and on. Right? That's what makes it fun. That's what makes it fun. That's what makes it fun. Harbaugh, I think, because he's gone places and has had results pretty quickly, he went to the 49ers and took them from 3 and 13 to 13 and 3 the next year. He went to Michigan, won a national title. It's like,

later, peace out. Chargers fans, I hope their expectation isn't too high. That would be like doing it three times in a row. He's a great coach. Great khakis. Great program. He's had a great preseason. I mean, did you see how cool he was under pressure when he was stuck in an elevator for two

hours? That is true. He didn't even crack. He didn't crack. He was cool, guys. Relax. It was a test. Yeah, it's a good sign moving forward.

He worked on his footwork for the whole two hours. Yeah. He was getting some practice in there. That's a true story, by the way, stuck in an elevator for two hours with 15 other people. So again, we ask you, actually, I think they were all great answers. But again, the hardest to predict. Is it the Steelers? Do you feel any other team here?

And we'll get to that. So we'll start thinking about the best deals you ever got. Best deal. The best deals. And we'll talk some QBs, but right now wrapping up the teams, the NFL teams that are hardest to predict. Now, the hardest to predict is obviously the Steelers. Everybody's talking about it.

It's not just us. Everybody's talking about the Steelers and what's going on there and all the voids they need to fill. I already explained, you already know the quarterback situation, but they need an offensive tackle, receiver, cornerback. They got to improve on special teams. So they got like five voids they have to fill. That's a lot of moving parts and a lot of headaches for Tomlin.

I see a lot of question marks, a lot of difficulties in their future. Not rooting against Russell Wilson or Fields for that matter, but I think that's the hardest team to predict because you just don't know. Ask yourself a parallel type of question. Is it also just a result of them being in arguably the best division in football? Like they got to play the Ravens twice, they got to play the Bengals twice, and they got to play the Browns twice, which by the way is another question mark. Is Deshawn Watson, the guy that got paid all that money?

Is he worth it? Is that Cleveland Browns team going to deliver this year? That's in that. And then it's funny you didn't even bring him up in possibly the top five. Yeah, you know, does endless answers to this stupid question of what is the biggest mystery going into the 2024 NFL season because there's a name I'm going to throw at you right now. And you could say

yes, I agree this is not a playoff team but will this guy give the team future hope. You know, sometimes your team could lose but you're like, all right, well we got the pieces. We just need to develop it now. Yeah. Green Bay.

No, they're already there. No, I mean last year. Yeah, last year, Green Bay. Yeah, they discovered, oh, I, Jordan loves the guy. This year, Danny G. In your division in the AFC West. We talked about the Chiefs. We talked about your Raiders.

Gardner-Mintu. He's like a good placeholder. Bo Nix. Is Sean Payton and Bo Nix at the beginning of something good? This could be grand opening, grand closing, or it could be like, he got his guy.

I mean, all signs point to the fact that he's going to be a successful NFL QB. Bo Nix was the guy that secretly, the Broncos, front office wanted. Remember that story that they didn't even leak that to the rest of their staff because they were so tight-lipped on that. They were playing chess while everyone else was playing checkers. Pretty much. And so this is the guy that the Broncos' fabulous new head coach wanted. So let's see how he uses him. I'm not trying to be all over the place.

That's just your nature. I'm an ADD type of guy. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. That's how I was raised. I'm looking at the divisions and we talk about the competitiveness. of, let's say, the AFC North, or even for that matter, the NFC north. Everyone's, especially Colin, we're filling it for him. He's high on Caleb Williams. Does that team have a playoff chance? Did the Lions take a step back? Are the Packers

going to pick up where they left off? There's so many interesting questions, but in that AFC West, we're all locked in like, all right, it's Chiefs. But then after the Chiefs, you could order those three other teams in a multitude of ways and I'd be like, yeah, that looks right.

We were just talking off the air, Rich, while you were hobnobbing in the hallway, Tui and I were saying, maybe this is the year they don't win the West. Would you say, hey, it's got to be sometime. They can't throw forever. I mean, listen, it's not a guarantee.

We think that way. And I think that way. Of course. But you never know, man. I'm certainly not wishing ever injury on a player because that's just trash behavior. But what if Mahomes or Kelsey

or key players, Chris Jones, if someone goes down and they stumble to 9 and 8 or 10 and 7 and they're a wild card or that's possible tom brady remember he missed the season and they that was the one year the patriots didn't make the playoffs there was a year i'm a nineers fan as a kid montana went down steve young went down if you remember steve bono was the quarterback and they missed the playoffs on a tiebreaker that 49ers dynasty missed the playoffs one year the patriots missed the playoffs one year it happens this is a dream

scenario, but what if the Raiders defense continues to look the way they did on Christmas Day? They were all over Mahomes. He made errors in that game. That was the game. Danny, that was Santa just entering your wish. I think so. You might be right. And look at, oh, oh, oh, okay, Danny. Reality is, you're right. But that was the game that woke the Chiefs up. That led them to their Super Bowl victory. That Kelsey said, that woke our asses up. No one, no one, but they added. They added Christian Williams, one of the biggest high motor guys in all of football, to go next to Max Crosby, who's on the field even more than Wilkins. Those two guys leading that defense, the Raiders, here's a hot take,

the Raiders defense could finish in the top five of defenses in all the NFL. And remember the complaint with Derek Carr stands? They never had a good defense when Carr was there. Imagine Carr with a defense like this. Yeah. You know what? I will say, there's not a person. outside of Kansas City that's like,

unless you're a Mahom's superfan kid and you're like, I love Mahams. No one wants a three-peat. I'm a Niners fan. I don't want them to do what Montana couldn't do. Patriots fans don't want him to do what Brady couldn't do. Steelers fans don't want that. Any team that at one point had a great dynasty,

they don't want a three-peat. No one wants a three-peat. It's like when Steph and the Warriors were just winning every year. It's like, all right, enough's enough. And I think we love watching them, but I don't think anyone would cry if Barone knocked him out if Lamar did if

you know they laid an egg in the wild card round. That's boring for football to be honest it's as simple as that. I call it the Clitchco theory. There was a tenure of the Clitchcoes that made the heavyweight division boring which was bad for boxing because people wanted to tune into the heavyweights. They knew they were going to

win. The Clitchco's were the best. The Chiefs keep winning. It's just boring for the NFL. The F.C. is so stacked. But No one wants the chiefs. All right, let's do it. Some herd line news. Hurd line.

No, no, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. All right, guys, we'll pick up real quick where you guys just left off. That's Kansas City. One thing we didn't talk about is the departure of one of their great cornerbacks, Legerius Sneed. Maybe that could lead to part of the downfall there.

But Sneed, obviously, was a part of their back-to-back Super Bowl champion defense, one of the key positions in the secondary with Chris Jones holding the down up front. But Sneed, he's feeling hurt. He didn't want to have to leave Kansas City. So here's what he had to say after first they gave him the franchise tagged and they ended up trading him to Tennessee. He got a new contract with Tennessee. But here's what Sneed had to say about having to leave the chiefs.

Quote, I didn't talk to them. I was upset, man. I was upset Kansas City. That's like my first love. They showed me the way. They showed me how to be a champion. that gave me two rings. And you know what?

I was bitter. I was angry because I wanted to stay in that environment around everybody that I was used to. And sometimes you don't know the impact these guys have in the locker room, in the clubhouse. We were talking about Danny G's Dodgers the other day. Jason Hayward, he was a guy that was instrumental in that Cubs 2016 World Series.

Some guys bring a team together. Think about any work environment. There's people that are good camaraderie people. And maybe you lose something with stuff. need. He was part of back-to-back champions, so. I mean, listen, the Chiefs have been the team to beat the past

like five years, right? But like at some point, those margins start getting smaller and smaller and smaller. And like, we talk about this with the Patriots. Yes, they won six Super Bowls, but they also went a gap of 10 years where they didn't win a Super Bowl.

People forget that. You're reminded of that if you watched the Tom Brady documentary Man in the Arena? And you're like, oh, wow, there was a gap. There wasn't like they won one every three years. And then that lasted 18 years or whatever. It's, they went 10 straight seasons. The Patriots won a few Super Bowls when you had a flip phone.

And then they went 10 years and they won again when you had like the iPhone 8. That's how you can gauge the Patriot. Exactly. So it's, you know, listen, obviously, chiefs are a great drafting team. They have a lot of great young players in the secondary that they're trying to fill this in with. and maybe it all works out for them, but, you know, Sneed, obviously,

still a little hurt about having to get shipped out of Kansas City. All right, this one's for you, Rich. Oh, point. Trent Williams and the 49ers remain at an impasse. That's right. Jeremy Fowler is reporting that Williams is continuing to hold strong

and refuses to show up in San Francisco without an adjustment to his current contract. I hope this is not a carbon copy of Chris Jones last year. with the Chiefs where they lost their first game and they're like Cep, Sine Jones! I could see the 49ers getting pressured without

Trent, Perties run around like a cheek with his head cut off and they lose to the Jets and then all of a sudden, Kyle Shanahan and the front office is like, all right, you know, John Lynch, get it done. Let's do it before that, please. Let's do it. Trent Williams might be

the most important guy in that team. A team full of superstars, Trent Williams can be the most important guy. 100% I don't think that's crazy or a hot take by any means. Way more important than Iook. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, not even close.

I mean, outside of just the inherent value, you have to give to the quarterback. If you take that away, without a doubt, Trent Williams. Kyle Shanahan's offense doesn't have time to percolate if Trent Williams isn't blocking the left side. That's right. All those plays unfold with Debo and McAvery because Trent Williams gives purdy time. That's right. we'll wrap up with this. We talked a little bit of Patriots,

and it's going to be the first NFL season. We will not see Bill Belichick on the sidelines in New England for over two decades. Now, Belichick also known for being the mastermind behind building those rosters that won six Super Bowls for the Patriots, but now a member of the media. Here's what Belichick had to say about some of the challenges that the Patriots are now facing in free agency. He said this,

Tax-Sachusetts. Virtually every player even the minimum players are basically getting close to a million dollars. Now, once you hit that million dollar threshold, you have to pay more state taxes in Massachusetts. So that's just another thing you're contending for. This isn't Tennessee, Florida, Nevada, teams without a state income tax.

Those are things you're getting hit on pretty hard by the agents. I wonder if it would make no sense. I don't think they can do it. Kvino, but you ever think they'd make an adjustment per state per salary cap? too complicated. But there tends to be a disadvantage. I remember when A-Rod, remember when he signed with the Texas Rangers, like no taxes and no state taxes in Texas.

Yeah. You save a lot of money. Maybe you're I, guys making regular salaries, one thing. But when you're making tens of millions of dollars a year, they're not going to make that adjustment. Plus is a bad look to the fans. There's no way. Everybody else there has to pay the taxes.

Yeah. They're like, we're going to give everyone a benefit. Nah, just kidding. Not you guys. Not you regularly, guys. The Patriot. I mean, it's a... Sounds...

It's like 30, 40s something? Yeah, he's in his 40s. And he's going all out. We're around the same age. Not only is he going all out. Why? Sometimes during the break, he's like, oh man, I'm watching film on this team we got coming up.

I'm like, okay. Oh, that's too much pressure. You're supposed to be having fun. Go to the gym and take some shots. He's like the guys that I play softball twice a week, and I think that's a lot. There's guys that play five days a week. And they'll say things like,

you know, you're hitting the cage this week. I'm like, cage this week. We play Sunday morning softball. Hitting the cage and I'm going out to dinner with my wife and kids. Am I hitting the cage? I'm not saying, I'll do your best. That's not it. But I'm like going all out. It's like, come on. I wanted to ask because

Ryan did a great job filling in for Jay Mack. You know what? Here. Do you put Jay Mack in the same category as me playing softball, him playing basketball? No. The way you're describing it, he takes a way more serious. He takes his men's leagues. Very serious. Oh, man. Look.

If that's what keeps him in shape, keeps him happy, I'm not judging by any means. I never even met him in person. I hear he's a great guy. But I'm saying for precautionary reasons, like you've got to be a little careful as you get older. I'm not saying, don't go out there and compete. But for me, my priority would be staying healthy.

Like, it's all fun of game, so this guy rolls an ankle. Yeah, when he's hobbling into the herd. The one thing he did have happened, this was probably about a year ago, maybe a year and a half ago. He caught an elbow and had to get like a stitch or two right above his eyebrow. That eyebrow elbow is like a, that's a basketball injury right there. Oh, absolutely. But do you put,

Kavino, we'll move on. We'll talk to MFL and stuff, but do you put all rec sports, for real, in the same category? Because Kavino's the first to bust my chops about, look at you and your old guys playing soapball. I'm like, dude, you can sort of have fun and be lazy playing Sunday softball.

I'm not trying to downplay how serious you are. Basketball, and he's probably playing with a lot of younger dudes. When you're at the court, all these younger dudes roll up, and they want to start really getting aggressive with you, and then your competitive instincts kick in. It could be a little more dangerous. than your softball game.

I think if you're playing any rec sport, I'm giving you credit to because, A, you're staying active, and you have a hobby. So I think I'm putting them all in the same category. Softball, basketball league, I think guys playing pickleball. If you golf, anything you do to stay active with sports when you're 35, 40 plus is a good thing.

I have a question for you. I think you need to do one of these things. Real quick, though. My brother plays in a men's baseball league, right? and I guess he was playing well one day and a scout actually approached him. This is recently, right? I swear to God, I just thought about what you would do though.

So it's kind of like that fantasy you have like, oh, yeah, yeah, maybe someone will see me. So the scout came up to him and offered him like an indie ball contract. Now, he would have to go to Gary, Indiana for the last 40 games of the season. And it's just some local men's league in New Jersey, right? And he's like, we want you to play for the 10. team. My brother's like, no way. For real? You know, my brother's in his 30s.

He's kind of a bozo. And he does appraisals. He's like, you know, that means I would have to like quit my job. And I'm like, yo, but that's kind of cool, Tommy, right? I'm like, think about it. He goes, the one thing I really was like hooked on is like I would be in baseball reference. So his stats,

if you Google them, would be there. And I'm like thinking that would be sort of worth it in itself to have your stats on baseball. reference as a pro. Like you played at this level. No one could ever take that away. I'm like, there's 40 games.

Go and have fun. He's like, no, I can't do it, you. I'm like, all right, man. But I thought, what would you do, Rich? Seriously, it's not like he's such a professional that he can't dip out for 40 games. That's interesting. But he also needs his money.

I mean, he's an adult and everything. But that would be a once in a lifetime. Hey, man, I did it at a decent level where Google me. It's right there. Look, Tommy Kavino, 6 foot, 220. I bet it a Let's give him some props I bet it at 280 in the indie league
